Title: Human Resource Assistant
Location: Monroe, CT
Pay: $15-18 hr.
Industry: Manufacturing
HR Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of human resource functions. The Human
Resource Assistant will report directly to the HR Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Time Clock management
 New hire set up in payroll system
 Create and process payroll Stuffer
 Enterprise Manager updates
 PTO tracking and management
 New hire 90 day employee letter with insurance sign-up
 New hire paperwork – including verification of social security numbers and I-9.
 STD/LTD coordination for people who go out on disability
 Assist with coordination of annual health renewals
 Sign-ups/changes to 401K plan
 Coordination of 401K loans
 Processing termination paperwork
 Coordination of partial unemployment paperwork
 Coordination of card entry system.
 Maintain employee records.
 Coordination of workers comp benefits
 Plan and run monthly safety meetings
 Order and monitor first aid supplies
 OSHA Annual Report
 Plan and support company meetings and parties
 Communication and support on internal recognition program
 Assist Customer service with phone support as necessary
 Phone system oversight and setup/training for new users
REQUIREMENTS

 Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook. PowerPoint)
 Good judgment, knowing when it is appropriate to make decisions and when to get a
supervisors opinion.
 Accurate and attentive to details
 A good head for numbers
 Ability to assist and support others.
 Communication, organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
 Ability to meet deadlines
 Positive Attitude, the ability to manage people who are upset over situations
 Team player – works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded
