A Study On Micro Cap Investing
Micro cap investing is an increasingly growing topic in today s society. There are many upsides
to this form of investing, but there is also a large downfall. Being a finance major, this topic is an
interesting one to study. This topic is specifically related to finance, although, investing, in general,
is something that does not require a degree to take part in. There is an incredible potential to earn
wealth. Micro cap investing is important in the business field because it is considered the riskiest
form of investing, and micro cap investors are encouraged to judge these companies carefully. This
is useful information to study.

Micro cap investing is an optimal solution to exponentially growing the wealth of one s wallet.
Investopedia said think big is the motto most successful investors live by (Loiacono, 2007).
B.What are micro cap investments?
Micro cap investments are investments made in companies worth $50 million to $300 million (
Micro Cap , 2003). In simpler terms, these are investments made in companies with small market
capitalizations. Typically, these are start up companies with little to no history, and in turn, this
means the companies have little media on them. Though they have little market capitalization
compared to other larger companies, this does not mean that their stock price is automatically lower.
It simply means that the risk in the investment is much higher. They are often not recognized
publicly, and because of the large risk involved, there is a healthy gap to earn money.
C.How are micro cap stocks traded?
Micro cap stocks are traded through different methods than regular stocks. Because these stocks do
not have the popularity to go through Wall Street or media, these stocks are traded through
something alternative. Most micro cap stocks are traded through a method known as over the
counter ( Microcap Stock: A Guide for Investors , 2013). Over the counter means that it is not run
through the national securities exchange ( Microcap Stock: A Guide for Investors , 2013).

Law 421 Contracts
Contracts
Contracts are an important part of everyday life. They are an essential part of business. As a
student of a business law class, I will discuss in this paper several aspects of contracts. This paper
will give a definition of a contract and the essential elements necessary to form a valid contract. It
will briefly discuss breach of contract and the difference between a material breach and a
nonmaterial breach of contract. Examples of legal and equitable remedies available for breach of
contracts will be highlighted. Also, legal excuses for nonperformance or other grounds for
discharge of contracts will be addressed. Finally, three types of common contracts personally and
professionally encountered will be mentioned.

Contracts can be discharged by complete performance or material non performance of the
contractual duty. For example: A contractor does not do any work promised on a bathroom, or
almost none, then the homeowner does not owe him anything. Therefore, the homeowner the non
breaching party is discharged and the contractor is liable for the breach of contract (lectriclaw,
2012). A cancellation can be effected if one party breaches the contract, or a termination can
occur when either party lawfully ends the contract for anything other than a breach. In this case,
all executor duties are discharged on both sides but in the event of a partial breach, there is still a
right to seek a remedy (lectriclaw, 2012). Procedures dealing with all aspects of contracts are a
part of everyday transactions and can affect every individual on one level or another.
In everyday living, contracts can be a basic part of individual life. On a personal level, there are
several types of contracts that have been encountered. These contracts are life, health, and
automobile insurance that is a benefit for the person insured in case something happens such as a
death, a hospital stay or a car accident. Also, there are employment contracts that are signed when
one accepts a job such as an employment application, and service contracts such as contractors
performing work on my home. These are basic examples of how contracts affect everyday life on a

Hair Thesis
Hair through the ages.
Since the beginning of time, hair and hairstyles has been very important to the human race. Hair
and the way it is styled is not only an adornment, but it also tells us more about the personalities,
social class or the profession of people. Hairstyles have been developing from ancient times and are
still in the process of changing today. With every new era comes a new way of creating and styling
our hair.
Antiquity:
The Egyptians
Ancient Egyptians are known for their attention to beauty and cleanliness. They used various items
and techniques to style their hair. For them the way they wore their hair was based on the social
class they were in. They used combs, hairpins, wigs and even dyed their hair and wigs. Blue, ...

The classic period hairstyle of Sparta was the ponytail. The warrior like mentality Sparta had their
hairstyles became less attractive. Both sexes wore ponytails. Men wore to keep the hair while
battle. Men focused more on physical athleticism than on the attractiveness of their hair.
Women also wore ponytails, because of the simplicity of the hairstyle, although they were more
focused on the attractiveness of their hair and adorned their hair with ribbons, pearls and beads.
Curls were another very important part of ancient Greek hairstyles. Curls were used to enhance the
beauty of the chignon. Curls and blonde hair was seen to be very beautiful, because many Greek
gods and goddesses had blonde curly hair.
Social class were marked by hairstyles. Wealthier, aristocratic women wore long decorated hair,
while female servants wore short, cropped hair. Men wore short hairstyles with clean shaven faces,
they even occasionally preferred to be fully shaved.
Hair in ancient Rome
Roman fashions did not change much over the centuries and were generally very simple, but
hairstyle fashion was ever changing. Their styles are so distinctive that they are still used today,
some exactly the same and others are just influences.
Like today, hair for the Romans expressed personal identity as much as clothes. Their styles were
determined by various factors, namely gender, age, social status, wealth and profession. Hair was a

The Case of the Untouchable Water Carrier Essay
The Case of the untouchable water carrier Introduction:The caste system was and continues to
be a terrible reality for people in Europe and Asia. Even though it is not as prominent now as it
was before it was abolished, it still affects many people all around the world. To be born into a
status, one that you can never leave or outlive is a great tragedy. How does one come to terms
with knowing that a choice was never an option? It doesn t matter if all the laws changed today,
the fact remains that the human race is habitual: people will continue to operate based on what
they have done for years. The abolition of slavery and the caste system didn t mean that people

Unfortunately, the staff led with their beliefs and as a result jeopardized the operations of the
bank and should be reprimanded as such. However, as an MNE the bank will be aiming to keep

Implication: As a manager at that bank Raman should have done more research on how the
lifestyle of that particular region operated compared to where he was transferring from. His
decision to hire the untouchable was not a wrong decision because, the fact still remains that the
caste system was abolished. However, if he had done his research he would have known that the
mindset of his staff was not up to par with his beliefs or the current law in regards to the caste
system. He is now in a predicament where he will either risk losing clients or renege on a
promise that he gave to Kishore by offering him the job in the first place. This is a lesson for other

The Geox Company is a great example of how an idea can become reality. In order for the idea of

products that led to the Geox Company to become what it is today. Polegato had developed the

were uncomfortable in an old pair of sneakers so he proceeded to make a hole in each of sole of the
shoe. This resulted in relief from his discomfort.
Polegato came up with the idea of a shoe that breaths which led to the development of the Geox
technology and brand. The technology behind Geox is a membrane which allows for their shoes to

Comparing Exult, O Shores And Ring, O Bells !
Two poems that deal with the harsh reality of death, done tastefully and beautifully in very
different ways. They have similar tones with different executions, Both convey the theme of loss
though one feels more like a story and the other more like a speech, and both were written in the
aftermath of a beloved president s assassination. The tones of both of these poems have a similar
melancholic and mournful tone, seeing as they deal with the theme of death. This tone matches how
the writers were feeling after the passing of the beloved presidents in their time periods. But with
these similar tones they have very different executions, Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells! But I,
with mournful tread, Walk the deck my Captain lies, Fallen cold and dead. (Whitman 21 24)

Roman Pantheon Research Paper
The Roman Pantheon is an architectural wonder built by the Roman s over 18 centuries ago that
has had enormous impact on architectural design and techniques still today. Built under the reign
of Emperor Hadrian 118 128A.D during the High Empire Period the Pantheon we know today was
built in the same location as two prior pantheon s that both fell to fire (Kleiner 210). Although the
exact artist(s) of that of the Pantheon are not particularly known credit goes to Emperor Hadrian
whom dedicated the newly rebuilt Pantheon to Marcus Agrippa, the person whom created the very
first pantheon that stood in the same spot(Moore). The word pantheon itself is of Greek orientation

It amazes me how the Roman s created such a beautiful building in there time period without all
of the technological advances that we have today. In my research I came upon an article that
said some historians believe that the Pantheon represented a specific type of sundial called a
hemicyclium , not in a technical aspect to be used as a instrument to tell time but in order to
symbolize that of the sundial (Hannah, Giulio). The meanings and feelings portrayed within the
building and the engineering task they had to overcome simply amazes me. I can only imagine
the beauty in which it has been described back when it was first built and how proud the Roman
s must have been to call such a miraculous construction there own. Not only is the building itself
beautiful but how almost every aspect within it has meaning makes the name its given well
deserved. I wish that today we still put the same time, effort and meaning into the architecture
that is created in the present instead of just building what ever is the cheapest and fastest. To me
the Pantheon shows significance, you don t have to research it in order to see the hard work that
was put into it or the feelings it can convey by just looking at a picture. In fact that is why I
choose it, not even knowing all of the spectacular things I ve come to find out but by simply

Essay On Congress Term Limits
Consequences of Term Limits on the United States Congress Imposing term limits on the United
States Congress could potentially lead to a massive reduction of knowledgeable politicians in the
American government, thus resulting in a fatal blow to the future of American progression. When
term limits are imposed, it has been shown that legislatures eventually lose valuable leaders, that
have the experience of law making and representing their districts with excellence. The national
legislation also would willingly increase the power held by the Executive Branch, this intern could
compromise the checks and balances system. Imagine if a congressman could only serve a total of
six years. They would strive to voice their constituent s concerns while continuing to draft laws and
reform the government. When it comes to the congressman s final term in office, we will find that
a vast majority of legislatures may turn into a lame duck. Just as the President of the United States
becomes a lame duck in their final years in office, the congressman may be prompted to
accomplish little to no tasks and seek to enjoy their final days in office . Furthermore, legislators
without term limits have proven to be very active in resolving issues for their constituents and...

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Cloud Computing
Question 1: The ever changing demands and innovations keep on bringing new changes in
information technology. Currently, cloud computing is considered as the most critical application
to Web 2.0 which has revolutionized content sharing platforms. Web 2.0 is characterized by higher
user interactivity, enhanced communication channels, and more pervasive network connectivity
(Fuchs et al., 2013). On the other hand, cloud computing refers to technology model for enabling
ubiquitous access to computing services such as a database, storage, and servers over the internet,
also known as the cloud (Mathkunti, 2014). Cloud computing has the following advantages to
Web 2.0 application: users do not worry about the hardware and software being used and corporate
benefits from easier file sharing (Mathkunti, 2014). Other advantages are related to cost, reliability,
flexibility, and collaboration. Cloud computing is argued to eliminate expenses associated with
purchasing software and hardware as well as improve performance and reliability of computing
(Breeding, 2012). However, there are also some issues related to cloud computing. These issues
include privacy and security, emergency situations, standards, legality, and pricing. Regarding
privacy and security, there is a question on how well are security policies managed in cloud
computing (Breeding, 2012). Although cloud computing provides various advantages, some
companies are reluctant to host their proprietary data in the cloud due to

Power is not without its temptations. At one time or another many of us have harbored a secret
fantasy to club that lethargic laggard between the eyes so he will understand what needs to get
done. Some upper level managers with a reservoir of power could actually do so. History and
literature, including management literature, are replete with notorious examples of power abuse and
the disasters that emanated from them. If managers lack this historical perspective, or an engrained
sense of ethics, they must hope that at least the rudder of their own temperament will guide them
successfully. Without any of these supports, a myopic mindset may impel them to use their power
in destructive ways, eventually dissipating it.
Other top level managers can shoulder burdens and deliver results in more subtle fashion. They
have learned that power abuse can curtail effectiveness. They know the downside risks of unilateral
imposition and have acquired the expertise, experience and empathy to avoid these pitfalls.
Experience can instill appreciation for unintended consequences, and training can imbue ethical
precepts. Many scholars attribute the long term durability of organizations, and even whole
societies, to successful managerial preparation for power deployment. When they wield power
well, users of power usually garner the nimbus of leadership.

Student Growth Mindset
A growth mindset for any student can be their key to success. Many students feel as if they can t
achieve the goal(s) that they have set for themselves when learning and trying to get passing grades.
How can the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) increase their students academic
performance? The AUHSD can increase its academic skills by encouraging students to having a
growth mindset. Students are pressured to make passing grades and know everything they learn,
but how can some students learn when not all students have the same growth mindset. That s where
parents should come in and encourage their child letting them know that they are intelligent and can

Students need to start letting themselves know that they can do what it is the desire to achieve
even when others don t believe in them so they can continue in the path of the success they planned
for themselves. In the article The Secret to Raising Smart Kids by Carol S. Dweck he states, I
realized that these different types of students not only explain their failures differently, but they also
hold different theories of intelligence. The helpless ones believe that intelligence is a fixed trait:
you have only a certain amount, and that s that. Dweck s statement brings out a fact that every
student in the AUHSD knows about. His statement referring to how students view themselves is
very common in Latino communities like the ones that every school in the AUHSD is in.
Likewise, bullying is also a huge impact on a student s growth in mindest. Not everyone of these
students have that one person that motivates them to increase their academic performance. This is
why everyone in school should encourage each other to reach that growth mindset. If we eliminate
bullying in the whole school district everyone would feel comfortable in expanding their
knowledge. It s something that no one wants to face because they don t have that full potential to
get to where others are. In that case, if we all come together and help one another no one would

Soviet Constructivist Architecture...and Its Influences
Soviet Constructivist Architecture ...and its influences The Russian architectural profession was
relatively intact after the revolution in October 1917, at least compared to the other arts in this

building was relatively high. This period was short lived as civil war wreaked havoc with the
economy and infrastructure of the country. A major turning point for the profession, and the
Russian people as a whole, was Act passed by the Bolsheviks, repealing the right for private

It was only later, in the mid 20 s that resources were made available for architects to design

the building had his trademark style, with his simple use of volumes, such as the cylinder and

Analysis Of Spike Lee s Do The Right Thing
The art of storytelling is a primary foundation for human communication and understanding.
Whether it is through myths Greek, Roman, Egyptian, you pick or wives tales or even Grandpa
telling his old war stories, stories have power. Through technological advancements in the last 150+
years, there are multiple mediums to tell stories; filmbeing the most potent medium used. Film has
the power to not only entertain but enlighten too. Filmmakers have the ability to challenge and
manipulate the power of the story through creative resistance; by exploring other elements of
storytelling: location, voice, color, angles, rhythm, language, filmmakers can create dramatically
different films out of the same story. Many of these filmmakers, through the feminist movement,
have taken Hollywood by storm. There are many individuals that believe the feminist movement is

against; in the way that Johnston, Haskell, Rosen, Williams, etc., all discuss what it was to be a

Church Service Reflection
In June 2016, I was blessed with the opportunity to serve on a mission trip to Haiti. While this
whole experience was outside of my cultural norms, I found that the church service was
specifically unlike anything I had ever experienced before. The church located on the campus of
Mission of Hope: Haiti, was constructed in the form of a crucifix. I honestly had no idea what to
expect from the Sunday morning church service. Before the church service began, my friend and
her family made sure that I took my own bible and journal to church, since the message was spoken
in Haitian Creole.
I knew that we were in Haiti serving those who were living in poverty, but to my surprise the
Haitians who attended the church service were dressed in very nice clothing. I believe this was
the biggest stereotype going into the church service. After spending time in nearby villages and
interacting with the Haitian people, I did not think they would have the means to have such nice

Enriching awareness This experience allowed me to understand the universal Church better. It was
such a cool thing to experience the worship that was included in the service. The songs were sung

Features Of Disputes Regarding The Company Act Of 2006
2.1Introduction This chapter evaluates the features of disputes related to companies with regard to
the Companies Act of 2006. The chapter will also discuss empirical research as well as its findings
related to the Companies Act of 2006 coupled with various disputes and arguments related with it. It
will include various claims with regard to the nature of such disputes and arguments along with the
evidence available. Contemporary literature states that private companies are mostly established
based on personal relationships and mutual trust of shareholders. In case there is any breakdown in
shareholders relationships, then disputes may happen and these are known to be called as exit

2.2The company act 2006 Provisions such as limited liability on the part of the auditors,
increased interest for shareholders, etc. are part of the Companies Act of 2006 in the UK. This
Act includes limited liability by contract with regard to such an amount which is deemed
reasonable and fair in all circumstances (Coffee, 2007). In the last few years, changes have been
brought in terms of the legal regime in the UK s governance system. For instance, since 1989,
firms in the UK have been able to incorporate, in that the firms can form limited liability
partnerships, wherein they can protect all the partners from any kind of personal bankruptcy
unless the partners were responsible personally in any kind of faulty opinion in terms of audit.
Nonetheless, firms in the UK have continued to choose abandoning the joint responsibility option
for lucrative limited liability regime (Hicks, 2008). The firms in the UK have used the case of
Arthur Anderson LLP to modify and reform joint and several liability based on two arguments
and these were collapse of a major firm under the pressure of aforementioned liability may leave
the market concentrated; and liability risk can be considered as a barrier in terms of smaller firms
who attempt to enter a concentrated market. Within the context of limited liability, there are more
unique kinds of liabilities which are deemed to be missing from the Act and

An Introduction to Windows 2000 Professional Reliability
Windows 2000 Professional is up to 30 percent faster and, according to National Software Testing
Labs (NSTL) tests, 13 times more reliable than Windows 98. The operating system is the most
reliable version of Windows ever produced.
Memory conflicts and missing or altered system files caused many of the system crashes prior to
Windows 2000. To put an end to these problems, Microsoft changed Windows 2000 memory
management to reduce the chance that software applications will interfere with one another. In
addition, Windows 2000 includes a built in safeguard called Windows FileProtection. This feature

Alfred Hitchcock Rear Window Analysis
Alfred Hitchcock s Rear Window is a short story about a bored voyeuristic man who idealizes a

man goes from voyeur and knight in shining armor to investigator. When reading the story, you
learn that Hal Jeffries can t get around very well, I could get from the window to the bed, and
from the bed to the window, and that was all (Woolrich 67). Since he was used to getting more

other areas of life, this is understood. Over exaggerated and unrealistic courtroom, hospital, and

viewed as an escape from reality in which the good guy has a chance (Phillips). However, the
reality of the situation is that the myth of sports being morally rewarding is as much a part of

outcome of the game does not determine whether the hero is successful. In this genre,
accomplishments are measured in whether the hero exemplifies his virtuous nature. The reality of

Essay on The Founders and Religious Freedom
James Madison and Thomas Jefferson are two of the seven key founding fathers of the United
States. The motive of the founders of the U.S. was to establish religious freedom in the colonies;
therefore, religion was of importance to them. When the policy of the separation of church and state
was enacted by the founding fathers through the Constitution, it meant that under a secular
government, religious freedom would always be protected. Issues such as the freedom to practice
one s religion arose in the earlier colonies and the separation of church and states prevents these
issues from occurring again. The separation of church and stateprotects the rights of all and ensures
religious freedom. This policy has proven to be nothing but a... Show more content on

Not only did James Madison have views on the importance of religion but he was an adamant
believer of the separation of church and state. Madison stated that breaking the ties between church
and state would cause a growth in religious interest. He wrote about this in 1819 stating that the
number, the industry, and the morality of the priesthood and the devotion of the people have been
manifestly increased by the total separation of the church from the state. Thomas Jefferson shared
this belief with Madison in his wall of separation between religion and government which is a
fortification of liberty. He strongly supported the freedom of religion in America through the
separation of church and state. The phrase wall of separation between the church and the state was
originally coined by Thomas Jefferson in a letter to the Danbury Baptists in 1802. The purpose of
the letter was to ease fears of the wall that the Danbury, Connecticut Baptists had. Jefferson said in
his letter that the wall had been built to protect them. This was used to keep the state out of the
church s business. During pre Revolutionary America there were efforts made to attain not only
political liberty but also religious freedom. The booming dissenting churches in Virginia had
presented several pleas against religious discrimination to the Virginia House of Burgesses in the
1750s and 1706s. Some of Virginia s statesmen and politicians included James Madison and Thomas

Heart Of Darkness By Joseph Conrad
In Joseph Conrad s, Heart of Darkness one encounters the telling of Conrad s adventures on a
steamship traveling up the Congo when numerous, drastic accountancies take place. During this
Victorian age, men are seen as heroes and women are occupied by roles of domesticity, which
ironically the story tells quite the opposite from these two ideals. Throughout the text, one will
also learn from the imperialistic society that is set forth by the Europeans and the controversy
that arises because of the social system within the home and civilization. This story is set up by a
narrator, by the name of Marlow, who re telling the experiences that Conrad had and how various
obstacles were overcome with he and his intended or fiancГ©. In Heart of Darkness, the main
themes that are discussed and brought to light throughout the entire story are that of the hypocrisy
behind the idea of Imperialism, the madness that surrounds the absurdity of evil, and the idea of the
last encounter that Marlow has with Kurtz s intended and the irony that surrounds the circumstance.
First, the issue at hand with Imperialism and the insincerity that surrounds it is baffling, as Marlow
is traveling in and out of the many stations that neighbor the river he is on. Marlow is in awe, as
he has to encounter and be a bystander of much torture, cruelty and a senseof slavery that these

The High Scope curriculum incorporates diversity in its approach. High Scope incorporates
diversity through developmentally appropriate approaches, which allow the children to
progress at their own rate through the use of learning centers. According to Morrison, High
Scope does not focus on the child s deficits, but instead focuses on social, cognitive, and physical
abilities, which are important for every child especially ones with special needs. Teachers in the
High Scope approach will identify the developmental level of a special needs child. Then the
teachers will provide different experiences that are appropriate for a normal child at their
developmental age. For example, if a special needs child is four years old but is developmentally
at a two year old level then, the child would use gestures and point with the fingers to express their
plans. The teacher would then immerse the child in activities that provide opportunities to hearing

THE PUNIC WARS
During the 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C., three wars were fought between Rome and Carthage. The
name given to describe the wars Punic, is a divided word from the Latin and Greek words for
Phoenician. The city of Carthage, situated in what is now Tunisia in North Africa, was founded in
814 B.C. by the Phoenicians. The first two wars were the longest 23 years and 17 years, separated
by an interval of 23 years. The last and third war lasted only three years. It started 52 years after
the end of the second Punic War. All three wars were won by Rome, which automatically emerged
as the greatest military power in the Mediterranean Sea. The hostility of Carthage impelled
Rome to build up its large army and create a strong navy just like the one Carthage had. Strong
military leaders of the war for Carthage and his sons Hasdrubal and Hannibal. Rome s
outstanding leaders were Scipio Africanus. Belief holds that Phoenician settlers from the
Mediterranean port of Tyre discovered the city state of Carthage on the northern coast of Africa.
By 265 B.C., Carthage was the richest and the most advanced city in the region, as well as its

Is there a democratic deficit in the EU and if so, how might it be reduced?
One of the most controversial debates in the history of European Union (EU) is if there is a
democratic deficit in the EU. On the one hand, many scholars argued that the democratic deficit
exists in the EU. On the other hand, there are other scholars who claimed that there is not a
democratic deficit in the EU. In this essay, the writer will support the argument that the democratic
deficit in the EU exists and will propose how this deficit can be reduced. In the first part of this
paper the arguments, which support the existence of the democratic deficit, will be discussed. After
that, this essay will present the claims that there is no democratic deficit in the ... Show more

Furthermore, people can vote for and support the head of potential government. As a result, Hix
(2005:175) argues that democracy exists if there is a competition between rival political manifestos
for public policies and between the leaders of political parties and if there is a possibility to
change the government if citizens do not satisfy from government s policies. To conclude, in the
majority of the democracies today, the party or the leader that wins the elections becomes the
government or the president (Hix 2005:176).
What is democratic deficit?
As it is discussed briefly what this essay means as democracy, it is important to define what is
democratic deficit. Because of there is not a clear and concise definition for democratic deficit;
this essay is based on the standard version and the five standard claims of democratic deficit as it
was presented from Hix (2008).
The first claim is that European integration has led to an increase of executive power on the one
hand and on the other hand that national parliament lose more of their power (Hix Follesdal
2006:534, Raunio 1999). It is true, that members of governments of members states of the EU
participate in the legislation process such as ministers from national governments in the council of
minister. As a result, it is possible that national governments can overcome the national parliaments
when vote or co decision in legislative process in the EU (Hix Follesdal 2006).

Maya Angelou Stereotypes
Stories and tales have risks that some rarely think about. To most audiences, they entertain people
and bring smiles. What those audiences may not think about, however, is that stories can be
dangerous. A story becomes dangerous when nothing can limit a storyteller s power to manipulate
fact. The difference between legends, myths, and folktales have become lost over the years.
Legends originate from stories passed down person to person and contain small fractions of truth,
myths come from beliefs shared in a culture rather than hard facts, and folktales originate from
different tales or legends that have evolved into different variations. Although each of these have
their own aspects, they all share in common the characteristic of lacking... Show more content on

Stereotypes are generalized opinions or observations that are usually false, which shows how
the perspective of outsiders affects the story. Not only is this stereotype false, but it causes
Angelou to feel inordinate rage, which leads to controversy between her and the original teller
of this story. Angelou feels this rage because she opposes the spreading of false information
about her fellow Blacks to audiences who would most likely only hear that one side to the story.
At the end of this quote, Angelou provides her audiences with imagery that shows the truth in
the lives of these supposedly gay song singing cotton pickers. If Angelou were to retell this story,
it would not highlight how the cotton pickers enjoy their jobs and lives, but rather the pain and
injuries that they are forced to endure as slaves. This shows how different stories would be after
hearing from two sides. It also displays the dangers of a story when storytellers and audiences
are unable to see the dilemma that slaves in the South face. A metaphor that conveys the
difficulty that some may go through in order to repair informational damage caused by
storytellers comes from Angelou s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. She writes, The odors of
onions and oranges and kerosene had been mixing all night and wouldn t be disturbed until the
morning air forced its way in with the bodies of people who had walked miles to reach the pickup
place (Angelou 7).

Steven Tyler Research Paper
Imagine you are in your room and your listening to Love in an Elevator by Aerosmith, and all of
the sudden you just want to start rocking to the music. Well that s how Steven Tyler felt 24/7.
Steven was so legendary his voice and his band Aerosmith make up the unique features to what a
true rock and roll band has. They had so many top 40 hits and all of their music was amazing...
which is ironic because one of their best songs is titled Amazing. Yet, Steven Tyler s life has
mostly been a roller coaster due to the impact of drugs and alcohol throughout his life.
If you have ever wondered why Steven Tyler is so crazy or funny well your about to find out.
Steven Victor Tallarico was born March 26th 1948 in the bronx of NYC. All the way up to high
school, Steven played the drums in his dads band until he realized he could sing with a great

always been in his blood. As a teenager, music was not only his pursuit; he also made money by
working in a bakery. Also as a teen Tyler began using drugs while hanging out in a village one day.

Joyce Carol Oates Short Story Analysis
Most teens learn to use irony as a way to avoid telling the truth, tip toeing around the truth. They
do this to deal with or avoid issues in their lives that they do not want to face directly. They would
prefer to mask their feelings with lies, then be direct and turn to irony to convey emotions they
cannot be honest about. In Joyce Carol Oatesshort story, this is exactly what Sunny does. The
understanding and meaning of a free world between Sunny and Zachary display just how
differently people view and relate the outside world to their life choices and responsibilities. A
discussion could be brought on about this topic, or if teens view it as a free world too, and how
they feel about their own responsibilities and choices, in this free world. Oates uses irony in her
writing to point out this distinct difference in her two main characters . Sunny saw the world as
free of her, but as for Zachary, he did not. Prior to the response, Sunny gave him, Oate s mentions
as to why he may not see it as a free world. Zachary s parents were urging him to go to
Muhlenberg College...Zachary hoped to go elsewhere (42). Zachary was having his choices
almost made for him despite his want to do something else. Having someone else control his
actions and thinking of others when making decisions, affected how he carried out his personal
and school life actions. Sunny was popular and like the good looking girls, club officers, prom
queens, cheerleaders.... (14). She was kind and wholesome.

Comparing Charles Darwin s Idea Of Evolution And Natural...
Charles Darwin had arguably one of the best ideas anyone has ever had, the idea of evolution
and natural selection. Along with these two ideas, he also noticed that all species are connected
through the tree of life. While Darwin was studying finches in the Galapagos, he noticed each
species of finch had a different type of beak. He latter understood that these different beaks were
due to the varying types of diets of the birds based on what island they came from. The different
beaks would help them open seeds easier or get nectar from flowers. The beaks showed Darwin s
idea of natural selectionand survival of the fittest. Darwin realized that the birds were able to
change (or evolve) over time, based on how well their beaks aided in feeding

Essay about American Financial Crisis
The US Financial System: A Crumbling Empire The financial system has been crucial to the role of
free enterprise. Financial markets have come to supply non financial corporations with mechanisms
for managing their risks and for comparing and evaluating diverse investment opportunities in a
highly complex global economy (Cindin, 2008). However, despite the lifetimes it took to build our
financial institutions, bad luck and careless risk management have jeopardized careers and
mortgaged these institutions futures (Wallace, 2008). The nation is currently attempting to deal
with the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression. It is now imperative that a way be

This is the result of commercial and investment banks lending vast sums for housing purchases
and consumer loans to borrowers who are ill equipped to repay. As consumers begin to default
on their loans, banks are realizing the horrendous fact that they have no tangible cash to carry
out business procedures. These profound errors in risk management are taking disastrous tolls
on the economy. The U.S. economy is now facing four serious problems. The first problem is
that consumers are cutting back on spending in an effort to try and repay their loans. Presently,
consumers and banks are trying to reduce the amount of money borrowed in relation to their
assets or income, a process known as de leveraging (Francis, 2008). This will cause a recession
since consumers make up seventy percent of all spending. The inventory of unsold homes is now
large, so the demand for housing and construction will be low for several years. Other businesses
will also begin to reduce the production of goods in order to keep pace with the decrease in
demand. The International Monetary fund is forecasting the United States gross domestic product
to grow by just .5% in 2008 and .6% in 2009. The problem of consumer spending is actually the
least of the economy s worries. The second dilemma that the economy faces is the increase in the
number of defaults on mortgage payments and consumer loans. Large quantities of consumers were
purchasing homes in belief that the property

The Hindu Temple Of Dayton
Hinduism goes back as far as fifteen hundred B.C., there are currently over nine hundred million
practicing Hinduists in the world today. I had never been to a Hindu temple before and it was a
new and exciting experience. I did not know about the Hindu religion going to this project. During
my time here in Dayton I have been to Lebanese festival and interacted with many people of Arabic
descent. Hinduismas religionis very broad. Choosing to interview someone of the Hindu faith was
an easy choice to make because I had always been interested in Hinduism. Some of my favorite
movies had implied Hindu concepts in them such as karma. I decided to attend the Hindu
Temple of Dayton for the interview. The temple was established in nineteen eighty six by two
priests and currently has over six hundred patron families that visit weekly. As I entered the
temple there was a sign to take off your shoes. People were supposed to take off their shoes as
they entered the temple, it is a form of respect to the deities. As I was observing the service, a
priest stood in front of a particular shrine and chanted while ringing a bell. After he was finished
chanting he handed everyone banana. I found out later on the deity he chanted about was named
Vishnu and the banana he offered everyone afterwards a symbol of self sacrifice or a pledge of
righteous to the deity (Pradeepa, Offering the Fruits to Hindu Gods ). The man I spoke with is a
priest named Ramesh Rajamani. He had worked at the Hindu

The title of chapter 2 is The Phonological Component: Phonetics , this chapter is all about how
God made our mouth and our bodies to make specific sounds to create words. This chapter goes
through how we have certain parts in our body that helps us make vowels and consonants so that
we can connect words and make sentences. I thought this chapter was interesting because it goes
into detail about things that I would have never thought of until reading it. When you speak, you
do not realize how much is actually going on in your body. First, the chapter talks about how there
are certain shapes that are needed to articulate some words. Speech sounds are initiated by an air

Market Failure in Unemployment Benefits
Market Failure In Provision of Unemployment Benefit
Market failure occurs when resources aren t used efficiently. This can be seen in any market,
whether a publics good or a private good. Market failure can also be seen in the provision of
unemployment benefits and unemployment insurance, as the resources could be used inefficiently
and misused in different ways. For the purpose of this essay I will focus on how MORAL
HAZZARD, prevents the efficiency in unemployment benefits and insurance, I will discuss the
main issues to do with moral hazard in unemployment and also ways of combating it. I will do this
by firstly defining market failure and the main components on it before leading to the actual topic
of moral hazard.
Market ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moral hazard is greatly seen as an individual can influence their probability of entering or leaving
unemployment. Moral hazard creates a disincentive to work and reduces the supply of labour in a
country. Moral hazard is unobservable , this means the providers of insurance and benefit are totally
unaware of the unemployed intention while receiving the benefit. In unemployment insurance the
two parties are involved in contractual relationships, as their intentions contradict. The receiver of
the benefit is acting in a hazardous way and the insurer is fully on aware which makes the
provision a market failure.
The money being received for unemployment benefit is substantially high in Ireland. This means
that people are less willing to look for work as they have a good income already. Looking for
work would mean a loss of benefit or a reduce income due to tax which will reduce the incentive
for a person to go look for work. Due to Moral Hazzard the system of payment are structured with
a view to ensuring that the system of payments does not weaken the incentive of the unemployed to
take on paid employment. Income tax and social security contributions levied on earnings
determine the employee s net earnings, when unemployed a worker receives payments. If the gap
between this is too much it may affect the incentive to work. If the ratio is high then moral hazard
increases as those who are unemployed may cease to work.

Research Process
This research adopted the sequential process model, therefore the research was executed in a fixed
and continuous sequences (Dawson, 2009).
1.Identify the wider knowledge
The wider insight about relational and non relational database performance, particularly MySQL
and Hadoop was gathered through the literature survey. By read textbooks, reviewing academic
journals and research papers, I founded a gap in the performance of relational database compare to
the non relational.
2.Determine research topic
Research topic was derived from the understanding of query processing in MySQL and Hadoop,
the database performance issues, performance tuning and the importance of database performance.
Thus, it was decided to develop a comparative analysis to observe the effectiveness of the
performance of MySQL (non cluster) and Hadoop in structured and unstructured dataset (Rosalia,
2015). Furthermore, the analysis included a comparison between those two platforms in two
variance of data size.
3.Define research approach
A deductive reasoning was applied in a controlled experiment to verify the theory: In read and
write operation, MySQL has a better performance compare to Hadoop in structured dataset, while
Hadoop has a better performance compare to MySQL in unstructured dataset (Rosalia,

Jack Johnsons Relationship
As the boats came in, the men were all shivering at the result of fear, except for the rare few who
were willing to die for their country. Jack Johnsons was one of the most patriotic people on the
boats, his almost opposite Benjamin Patrick , who is a cowardice man and not brave what so
ever. Jack dislikes most people who do not wish to serve their country in Gallipoli. Jack Johnson
and Benjamin Patrick were on the first boats to enter the beaches, before they were noticed by
the Turkish Soldiers. Jack and Ben were just some of the people who had helped build the
trenches. Once they had settled down Benjamin met someone by the name of Toby and started a
conversation about how horrible it is there and how Ben is coming with an idea to get himself
discharged, although Toby had told Ben that being a deserter will ruin the family name, while
also being charged with treason if anyone were to learn about your actions. After this, Ben had
tried to change the subject, Have you heard? General Birdwood is stealing extra rations once
Toby had realised what he was trying to do, he had just walked away and ignored Ben. Benjamin
later started to brainstorm on how he would be able to be discharged on a piece of worn out
paper, although didn t put his name on it. Jack had later found the plans and suspected one of the
members of the platoon are going to purposely injure themselves with the intention to be relieved
of duty. Jack at first suspected Toby as he didn t think Benjamin had the balls to be shot,
especially if it meant he was going to do it on purpose. After Jack had made this assumption, he
confronted Toby; saying, Are you the one planning on abandoning your brothers soldier?! ,
Toby had then replied, I don t know what you re talking about Jack, remind me , I found your
plans to leave you coward , Toby chuckled in reply to this statement and said, This is hilarious,
they re probably Bens... , Jack yelled across the trenches IS THIS TRUE PATRICK?! , Yes sir...
Ben had replied. Jack walked towards ben in a threatening manner, as if he was about to throw
punch, and he was, he cocked his arm back, and swang as hard as possible, although his arm was
caught by a private who had been observing the argument.

some of the biggest money makers every year. When a new console is released and you re trying

the controller just feels nicer in the hand. It even features a built in speaker and a potentially useful,

The Battle Of Chancellorsville As General Robert E. Lee
Civil War historians view the Battle of Chancellorsville as General Robert E. Lee s greatest and
most remarkable victory (Sears 1). Lee, facing an army twice his size, defies all military doctrine
and divides his army multiple times in order to out maneuver and surprise the Union forces. The
daring maneuver succeeds and ultimately forces the Union s Army of the Potomac to retreat. The
victory was another major blow to Union troops, but it came at a huge cost to the Confederacy:
the loss of General Thomas J. Stonewall Jackson. By evaluating the battle through the lens of the
mission command activities, one can see how Lee s daring maneuver was actually very calculated
and his only option for victory. Throughout the rest of this paper, I will describe the timeline of the
battle and how General Lee used the mission command activities of understand, visualize, assess,
and lead to ultimately achieve victory at Chancellorsville. After the Union s defeat at
Fredericksburg in December of 1862, President Abraham Lincolnonce again made a change in the
Union Armys leadership. General Ambrose Burnside was replaced with Major General Joseph
Hooker. Hooker and Lincoln both agreed that the key to victory in the war was the destruction of
Lee s Army in a decisive battle (Sears 57 62). Hooker s plan to accomplish this was to use his
130,000 soldiers and launch a double envelopment of Lee s 60,000 men still camped at
Fredericksburg. Between April 27 and May 1 of 1863, Hooker

The Importance Of Forgiving In Divorce Mediator Plano TX
When faced with the prospect of ending a marriage, divorce mediators Plano TX realize
forgiveness may be the last thing on your mind. However, in order to ensure an amicable split that
doesn t result in unnecessary trauma for you or your family, mindfulness and the ability to forgive
is a key skill to master. The first step in learning how to forgive is learning what isn t forgiveness.
Forgiving someone does not mean you pardon or excuse what the other person did, or that you
will forget the incident ever happened. Just because you ve forgiven someone doesn t mean you
won t still feel angry, sad or betrayed, or that there isn t still a lot to work out. You don t have to
tell the person you ve forgiven them and you certainly don t have to continue to make a place for
them in your life. Many people are afraid of forgiving someone simply because they worry it will

Roman Pantheon Research Paper The Roman Pantheon is an architectural wonder built by the Roman s over 18 centuries ago that has had enormous impact on architectural design and techniques still today. Built under the reign of Emperor Hadrian 118 128A.D during the High Empire Period the Pantheon we know today was built in the same location as two prior pantheon s that both fell to fire (Kleiner 210). In my research I came upon an article that said some historians believe that the Pantheon represented a specific type of sundial called a hemicyclium , not in a technical aspect to be used as a instrument to tell time but in order to symbolize that of the sundial (Hannah, Giulio). The meanings and feelings portrayed within the building and the engineering task they had to overcome simply amazes me. I can only imagine the beauty in which it has been described back when it was first built and how proud the Roman s must have been to call such a miraculous construction there own. Not only is the building itself beautiful but how almost every aspect within it has meaning makes the name its given well deserved. I wish that today we still put the same time, effort and meaning into the architecture that is created in the present instead of just building what ever is the cheapest and fastest. To me the Pantheon shows significance, you don t have to research it in order to see the hard work that was put into it or the feelings it can convey by just looking at a picture. Currently, cloud computing is considered as the most critical application to Web 2.0 which has revolutionized content sharing platforms. Web 2.0 is characterized by higher user interactivity, enhanced communication channels, and more pervasive network connectivity (Fuchs et al., 2013). On the other hand, cloud computing refers to technology model for enabling ubiquitous access to computing services such as a database, storage, and servers over the internet, also known as the cloud (Mathkunti, 2014). Cloud computing has the following advantages to Web 2.0 application: users do not worry about the hardware and software being used and corporate benefits from easier file sharing (Mathkunti, 2014). Other advantages are related to cost, reliability, flexibility, and collaboration. Cloud computing is argued to eliminate expenses associated with purchasing software and hardware as well as improve performance and reliability of computing (Breeding, 2012). However, there are also some issues related to cloud computing. These issues include privacy and security, emergency situations, standards, legality, and pricing. At one time or another many of us have harbored a secret fantasy to club that lethargic laggard between the eyes so he will understand what needs to get done. Some upper level managers with a reservoir of power could actually do so. History and literature, including management literature, are replete with notorious examples of power abuse and the disasters that emanated from them. If managers lack this historical perspective, or an engrained sense of ethics, they must hope that at least the rudder of their own temperament will guide them successfully. Without any of these supports, a myopic mindset may impel them to use their power in destructive ways, eventually dissipating it. Other top level managers can shoulder burdens and deliver results in more subtle fashion. They have learned that power abuse can curtail effectiveness. They know the downside risks of unilateral imposition and have acquired the expertise, experience and empathy to avoid these pitfalls. What those audiences may not think about, however, is that stories can be dangerous. A story becomes dangerous when nothing can limit a storyteller s power to manipulate fact. The difference between legends, myths, and folktales have become lost over the years. Legends originate from stories passed down person to person and contain small fractions of truth, myths come from beliefs shared in a culture rather than hard facts, and folktales originate from different tales or legends that have evolved into different variations. Stereotypes are generalized opinions or observations that are usually false, which shows how the perspective of outsiders affects the story. Not only is this stereotype false, but it causes Angelou to feel inordinate rage, which leads to controversy between her and the original teller of this story. Angelou feels this rage because she opposes the spreading of false information about her fellow Blacks to audiences who would most likely only hear that one side to the story. At the end of this quote, Angelou provides her audiences with imagery that shows the truth in the lives of these supposedly gay song singing cotton pickers. If Angelou were to retell this story, it would not highlight how the cotton pickers enjoy their jobs and lives, but rather the pain and injuries that they are forced to endure as slaves. This shows how different stories would be after hearing from two sides. It also displays the dangers of a story when storytellers and audiences are unable to see the dilemma that slaves in the South face. A metaphor that conveys the difficulty that some may go through in order to repair informational damage caused by storytellers comes from Angelou s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. As consumers begin to default on their loans, banks are realizing the horrendous fact that they have no tangible cash to carry out business procedures. These profound errors in risk management are taking disastrous tolls on the economy. The U.S. economy is now facing four serious problems. The first problem is that consumers are cutting back on spending in an effort to try and repay their loans. Presently, consumers and banks are trying to reduce the amount of money borrowed in relation to their assets or income, a process known as de leveraging (Francis, 2008). Moral hazard creates a disincentive to work and reduces the supply of labour in a country. Moral hazard is unobservable , this means the providers of insurance and benefit are totally unaware of the unemployed intention while receiving the benefit. In unemployment insurance the two parties are involved in contractual relationships, as their intentions contradict. The receiver of the benefit is acting in a hazardous way and the insurer is fully on aware which makes the provision a market failure. The money being received for unemployment benefit is substantially high in Ireland. This means that people are less willing to look for work as they have a good income already. Furthermore, the analysis included a comparison between those two platforms in two variance of data size. 3.Define research approach A deductive reasoning was applied in a controlled experiment to verify the theory: In read and write operation, MySQL has a better performance compare to Hadoop in structured dataset, while Hadoop has a better performance compare to MySQL in unstructured dataset (Rosalia, ... • 48. Jack Johnsons Relationship As the boats came in, the men were all shivering at the result of fear, except for the rare few who were willing to die for their country. Jack Johnsons was one of the most patriotic people on the boats, his almost opposite Benjamin Patrick , who is a cowardice man and not brave what so ever. Jack dislikes most people who do not wish to serve their country in Gallipoli. Jack Johnson and Benjamin Patrick were on the first boats to enter the beaches, before they were noticed by the Turkish Soldiers. Jack and Ben were just some of the people who had helped build the trenches. Once they had settled down Benjamin met someone by the name of Toby and started a conversation about how horrible it is there and how Ben is coming with an idea to get himself discharged, although Toby had told Ben that being a deserter will ruin the family name, while also being charged with treason if anyone were to learn about your actions. After this, Ben had tried to change the subject, Have you heard? General Birdwood is stealing extra rations once Toby had realised what he was trying to do, he had just walked away and ignored Ben. Benjamin later started to brainstorm on how he would be able to be discharged on a piece of worn out paper, although didn t put his name on it. Jack had later found the plans and suspected one of the members of the platoon are going to purposely injure themselves with the intention to be relieved of duty. Jack at first suspected Toby as he didn t think Benjamin had the balls to be shot, especially if it meant he was going to do it on purpose. After Jack had made this assumption, he confronted Toby; saying, Are you the one planning on abandoning your brothers soldier?! , Toby had then replied, I don t know what you re talking about Jack, remind me , I found your plans to leave you coward , Toby chuckled in reply to this statement and said, This is hilarious, they re probably Bens... , Jack yelled across the trenches IS THIS TRUE PATRICK?! , Yes sir... Ben had replied. Jack walked towards ben in a threatening manner, as if he was about to throw punch, and he was, he cocked his arm back, and swang as hard as possible, although his arm was caught by a private who had been observing the argument. ... The two consoles I have chosen to compare contrast are the XboxOne and the PS4. These consoles are both very well known consoles, and the developers who made the invention make lots of money off of these two consoles every year. These two well known consoles are probably some of the biggest money makers every year. When a new console is released and you re trying to get your hands on it on the release day you may run into some problems. Even worse problems than Black Friday shopping, so make sure you re ready for what may occur during your purchase. When purchasing one of the new consoles that come out. If you want to get an Xbox One or PS4 these two consoles are the front runners of our current generation. For the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You need a good gamepad to play games, and both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have them. The Xbox One gamepad is a slightly updated version of the Xbox 360 controller, with a more rounded feel and trigger buttons that offer individual force feedback. The DualShock 4, the PS4 s gamepad, is a completely overhauled controller that keeps the best parts of the DualShock 3 gamepad and fixes the worst. The analog sticks feel better, the triggers are more responsive, and the controller just feels nicer in the hand. It even features a built in speaker and a potentially useful, but so far underutilized touchpad in the middle. The only problem with the DualShock 4 is the light bar that marks which controllers are on and assigned to which players. Fortunately, Sony has since updated the PS4 to let you dim the light bar significantly, which cuts down on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 51. The Battle Of Chancellorsville As General Robert E. Lee Civil War historians view the Battle of Chancellorsville as General Robert E. Lee s greatest and most remarkable victory (Sears 1). Lee, facing an army twice his size, defies all military doctrine and divides his army multiple times in order to out maneuver and surprise the Union forces. The daring maneuver succeeds and ultimately forces the Union s Army of the Potomac to retreat. Hooker s plan to accomplish this was to use his 130,000 soldiers and launch a double envelopment of Lee s 60,000 men still camped at Fredericksburg. Between April 27 and May 1 of 1863, Hooker ...
