Short Essay On Child Labour
Composing an essay on the subject of child labor presents a multifaceted challenge that goes
beyond the mere act of writing. The intricacies of this topic demand a delicate balance between
addressing the gravity of the issue and maintaining a level of sensitivity towards the young lives
affected by it. Crafting a piece that not only highlights the severity of child labor but also
proposes viable solutions requires in-depth research, a nuanced understanding of socio-economic
factors, and a keen awareness of the ethical implications involved.
The difficulty intensifies as one navigates through the plethora of statistics, case studies, and
historical perspectives associated with child labor. Weaving these disparate elements into a
coherent narrative demands not only proficiency in writing but also a profound comprehension
of the global landscape, economic structures, and cultural nuances that contribute to the
persistence of child labor.
Moreover, the emotional weight of the topic adds another layer of complexity. Balancing the
need for a compelling narrative with a responsible portrayal of the hardships faced by the
affected children requires a delicate touch. It necessitates an empathetic yet objective stance to
avoid sensationalism while still driving home the urgency of the issue.
In conclusion, tackling the task of writing an essay on child labor is no simple feat. It involves
delving into the complexities of a deeply ingrained societal problem, navigating through a sea of
information, and crafting a narrative that is both informative and emotionally resonant. The
difficulty lies not just in the technical aspects of writing but in the ethical responsibility that
comes with addressing a topic of such significance.

Sophomore Year Letters
Dear 2017 2018 Sophomores,
I m writing this letter to you to let you know what to expect for your sophomore year.
I will be giving you some advice for some of the classes you will have to take in 10th
grade. It is your second year in highschool and you still have a while till you graduate
so you still have to try your best. So the classes we will be talking about is English
10 with Mrs. Ladwigs, Speech with Mr. Oakander, Health with MissMaresh, Spanish
2 with Miss Messerer, Fitness training (weight lifting) with Mr. Worm, Economic
and Business Law with Miss Gestring, Geography and American History with Mr.
Vanwinkle, Biology with Mr. Carmichael, and Geometry with Backstrom. I am going
to give you some tips to help you in those classes.
So ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Vanwinkle are honestly god awful. I m just trying, to be honest here kids. When
you have time to study and work on your homework, I suggest you do that because
other wise you will get jewed on in that class. He gives you lots of homework, and
there are lots of notes too. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR WORDS OF THE
DAYS! You will need them at the end of both semesters.
Biology with Mr. Carmichael is not so bad. He teaches you very well and explains
things to you so that you will understand. There are a lot of notes but you will be
fine if you write them down. Because they help you out a lot and most of your
homework will rely on your homework. Study a lot before the quizzes and tests
because trust me you will need the studying. The labs are honestly not so bad so just
finish them and get them turned it and you will do great in Biology!
Last class, I will be giving advice to you for is Geometry with Mrs. Backstrom.
Some of you don t need this advice because you probably already took this class
your freshman year (Smart alecks), but for the ones that haven t taken it here you
go. Advice listens to the teacher when she is explaining stuff, don t be afraid to ask
questions on tests, and get your homework done no matter what. You take notes like
every day but they honestly help you out a lot. So put those big boy/ girl pants on
and sit your butt down in your desk and
Analysis Of The Devil In The White City By Erik Larson
In Erik Larson s tale The Devil In The White City he utilizes chapter separation in
order to convey the plot lines of the two different stories. This author s craft technique
helps in the overall organization of the plot. In addition, the device helps the reader
understand and seperate the two stories up until the point that they relate more to
each other. Larson uses the technique of separating chapters for a logical organization
of ideas throughout the entire story. A logical organization that it is easy to
understand and make sense of for the reader.
This author s craft technique is very effective throughout the story. The technique is
very effective because it helps the reader understand the events that occured easier
then by putting it in a chronological order. If the author organized it chronologically
it would be easier to mix up the people involved. In addition, the two storylines ...

In addition, the separation demonstrates the good and evil that occurred during the
time of Chicago s World Fair and the years leading up to it. For example, in Part 1
at the end of the chapter titled The Trouble Is Just Begun Larson states, Even
Depew, however, did not foresee the true magnitude of the forces that were
converging on Burnham and Root. At this moment he and they saw the challenge in
its two most fundamental dimensions, time and money, and these were stark enough
(34). Then on the next page, the start of the next chapter, Holmes story is
introduced as one morning in August 1886, as heat rose from the streets with the
intensity of a child s fever, a man calling himself H. H. Holmes walked into one of
Chicago s train stations (35). This demonstrates how the technique of separate
chapters and differing paragraph lengths is effective in the portrayal of the
information. In this case, the reader can see how the separate chapters clearly
separates the two stories that occured in 1890 s
The Negative Role Of Women In The Great Gatsby
Women are capable of bringing human beings in this world, and they live a lot
longer than men. They are like the sun, the whole world needs women but in other
cases, this cannot be said for most women. Based on The Great Gatsby written by
F. Scott Fitzgerald and the motion picture Chicago directed by Rob Marshall, both
prove that during the 1920s, women had a negative influence in society. They were
seen as toys. They were manipulative over men and had a way of always getting
what they wanted using lust and acting a bit promiscuous. Rather than being seen as
human beings, they were seen as trophies and were not taken serious and were
ignorant. They would only care about money or fame. Even during the 1920 s
women are portrayed as always being competitive and jealous towards each other
when it comes to receiving attention. In The Great Gatsbyboth Daisy and Myrtle are
very different women, but as females they held the same role, meaning that they
both had in interest in money and were both were hungry for money. In the novel,
Gatsby described Daisy as having a voice full of money (120) meaning all she cares
about is money. For a long time, Gatsby tried his best to get Daisy to notice him. In
the past they were both in a relationship with each other, but there was a time when
Gatsby didn t have money, and joined the army. When that happened, Daisy lost
contact with him and began seeing other guys until she met Tom, the somewhat
perfect male that was suitable to her
Analysis Of Bhp Billiton And Telstra
Question 1 The companies that I found were BHP Billiton and Telstra. Based on
their annual reports in 2015, the approach used by them to value their intangible
and depreciating assets was the straight line method. For the straight line
depreciation method, the value of an asset is depreciated evenly each year over
the estimated useful life of the asset. For BHP Billiton, its buildings are estimated
to have a useful life of 25 to 50 years while its plant and equipment is generally has
useful life of 3 to 30 years. In addition, amounts paid for the acquisition of
identifiable intangible assets such as software and licences are capitalised at the
fair value of consideration paid and are recorded at cost less the accumulated
amortisation and impairment charges. Identifiable intangible assets with a finite
life are amortised on a straight line basis over their expected useful life, which is
typically no more than eight years. BHP Billiton has no identifiable intangible
assets for which the expected useful life is indefinite. On the other hand, Telstra s
property, plant and equipment, including buildings and leasehold property but
excluding freehold land, are depreciated on a straight line basis to the income
statement over their estimated service lives. Assets start depreciating when they are
installed and ready for use. For Telstra, its building is estimated to have useful life of
31 to 52 years, data core network has useful life of 4 to 10 years while IT equipment

Suburban Development and Suburban Lifw after World
War II
In Suburban Nation the authors recognize three points in culture change: Social
Marketing, Removal of existents barriers to change, and Enactment of new
regulations. Urban sprawl was a major problem and had many negative effects.
Suburban sprawl, called urban sprawl was a result of overpopulation. Sprawl
occurred when cities spread outward. Forests and farmland were being destroyed to
create new housing subdivisions, shopping centers, offices, parking areas, civic
institutions and roadways. State governments built highways and roads to serve all
the new commuters moving in and out of the city. Developers chose to build on less
expensive land farther away from the urban core. Land prices were lower and housing
in these developments was more affordable. Some people chose a longer commute in
exchange for more comfortable, low priced housing. The sprawl was a chronological
process that devastated the land and life of the American people. This problem
described here continues to be a problem. And many people are unaware that urban
sprawl continues to be a problem. Friendly neighborhoods, traditional pedestrian have
fallen victim to this problem. Environmental activists claimed that urban sprawl, was
a substantial environmental threat. But activists concerned about sprawl should
concentrate on existing government policies that encourage suburban development
and prevent greater redevelopment of urban areas. They were two unlike models of
urban growth; the old fashioned
Apple Search Warrant
Multi billion dollar companies, Apple and Google have brought the attention of
security on their devices, by upgrading them 10 fold, basically changing it out for a
military grade protection. Rendering it almost impossible for anyone even Apple
and Google themselves to break in, hack, or even crack the code of any of their
devices. Apple had stated, as the new operating system becomes widely deployed
over the next several weeks, the number of IPhones and IPads that Apple is
capable of breaking into for police will steadily dwindle to the point where only
devices several years old and incapable of running iOS 8 can be unlocked by Apple
(Timberg). When FBI Director James B. Comey got an ear full of this nonsense, he
struck back at the companys,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But now its making the use of a search warrant for devices, basically impossible,
sending police and FBI agents into a tail spin. The sole purpose of a warrant is to
gain access to a highly suspected criminals information without any need of the
persons permission. Warrants are not easy to come by either, it takes quite a while
to obtain one, you must first have tangible evidence that a person is committing a
crime, then you must present it to a judge and convince them to sign the warrant,
which inter makes it legal. The same process goes for a federal warrant. Apple
said. that it is making it impossible for the company to turn over data from most
iPhones or iPads to police even when they have a valid search warrant (Timberg).
So basicly hindering the law passed about 5 months ago in the Supreme Court. The
other question it raises is that, the 4th amendment clearly states, the right of the
people to be secure in their own persons, houses, papers, and effects, against
unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall
issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly
describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized , even with
probable cause , Apple still won t allow law enforcement to enter the phones, which
inter is going against the fourth amendment s
The Department Of Alcohol, Tobacco, And Firearms
For our third assignment for Criminal Justices we must answer questions about the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, U.S. Marshals Service, and U.S. Drug
Enforcement Administration. We must answer the following question: What are the
mission or goal of these agencies? When were they established? Briefly discuss
each of the agencies history. Discuss some of the difference between these agencies.
The first agency is called the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The mission
for the ATF is a Law enforcement agency in the United State Department of Justice
that protects our communities from violent criminals, criminal organizations, the
illegal use and trafficking of firearms, the illegal use and storage of explosives, acts
of arson and bombings, acts of terrorism, and the illegal diversion of alcohol and
tobacco products . They partner with communities, industries, and public safety
agencies to protect the public they serve through information sharing, training,
research and use of technology. ATF was established on July 1, 1972. The ATF was
formerly part of the United StatesDepartment of the Treasury, which had been
formed in 1886 as the Revenue Laboratory within the Treasury Department s Bureau
of Internal Revenue. ATF is the youngest tax collecting Treasury agency, separated
from the Internal Revenue Service by Treasury Department Order No. 120 1, since 1
July 1972. Also, in 1789 under the new Constitution, the first Congress imposed a tax

Example Of Critical Essay Examples
Critical Essay In the beginning of November one of my best friends Cheyann
turned 18, she was super excited about her birthday because she was going to have
all her friends around her including her younger sister, her two other girl best friend
and myself. She made plans for her birthday to be downtown as more of a girls
night out fancy dinner celebration. She asked me to drive us downtown to the mall,
so after grabbing a parking ticket we drove around and around the cold, concrete
parking garage to about the 3rd or 4th level. As I got out of the car I noticed that
there were only a few cars around us in the dim lit garage, it was around 6pm so it
was already dark and freezing cold outside. All us girls started walking towards the
doors that led to the elevators laughing and talking loudly in our heels and short,
fancy dresses when Cheyann stopped dead in her tracks and froze up.
I cant ride the elevator I have panic attacks remember? She said anxiously as she
looked at me. Cheyann had told me a story when we had first become friends about
her awful experience in an elevator when she was younger that had since ... Show

It has also taught me how important it is to teach and help other women who aren t
cautious when it comes to dangerous cultural spaces. It has also become very
apparent to me how many women do not see the danger in walking alone in
dangerous areas because of the recent empowerments to women or other reasons,
while those are great and very revolutionary women still need to be aware that
predators are still out there and they do not care if you feel empowered or not, they
are are there for one reason only. And lastly I feel very lucky that I was with my
friend Cheyann that night and was able to persuade her into making a better

Keep Playing Rhetorical Analysis
Keep playing.
Recently I saw a Gatorade commercial staring Serena Williams.
I related to this advertisement on a deeper level, so I wanted to share it with you.
Serena recently had a daughter with her new husband Alexis Ohanian. To provide a
little background on these two parents, Serena is currently tied for the most Grand
Slam singles titles with 22, has been to the Olympics and is one of the most dominant
tennis players in history. And her husband Alexis is no chump either. He co created
the website Reddit, so this baby has a lot to live up to.
But the message that Gatorade is promoting is a notice of encouragement to young
women with the help of Serena and her baby girl. To her this message is important.
Although Serena has had so much success in tennis, she is reminding her daughter
that it s okay not to follow her footsteps, but in whatever athletic path she takes, put
her whole heart into it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They find your sisters. They help you learn lessons. They teach you courage, hard
work and inspiration. They transfer to different mediums in life. They build you into
a better person. And over all, they help girls keep playing in life.
To me, this commercial wasn t just an advertisement. It was something that moved
me. It explained the feelings I have towards athletics and put them into words. It was
something I related to because I felt like I was talking to my future child.
So, I applaud both Serena and Gatorade. Keep inspiring young girls to play, and I
will keep promoting you.

Senior Year
The summer before senior year is when many people attempt to reevaluate their
lives, and change anything about themselves that does not satisfy them. One of the
greatest motivators for change, is knowing that you should be better. Not just that
you wish to be different, but knowing you have fallen short of your own potential.
When I observed myself going into senior year, I knew that I had fallen short of my
potential I was not being my best self and I set out to change that. Running has never
been my thing. I was always the girl lagging behind when the class ran laps in gym;
always the one with the slowest mile time. I loathed running more than anything yet I
envied those who could run with ease. At the beginning of this summer,
Sitcom Humor Analysis
3.3. Manner The maxim of manner is flouted when the speaker uses ambiguous
language or does not talk properly and understandably (Hu 2012: 1188). Sitcom
humour makes use of lexical and referential ambiguity to flout this maxim for
humour (Wu n.d.: 66/67). In the episode, the characters flout this maxim by using
words that others do not know or by using words and phrases which are lexically
ambiguous. When characters use words that others do not know, it either ridicules the
speaker (because they are unable to communicate with others) or the listener
(because they have a lack of knowledge). The humour in lexically ambiguous phrases
derives from the phrase s interpretation either by the characters or the audience. The
most obvious way the maxim of manner is flouted is when a character does not
understand a word another... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Penny: Yeah, I don t know what that means. Here it is not ambiguity that creates
confusion but the fact that Beverly uses scientific vocabulary that Penny cannot
understand. Beverly expects other people to understand scientific terms. She
makes assumptions about her listeners based on her own knowledge. This maxim
is also flouted a couple of times through lexical ambiguity. As seen when Beverly
remarks on the two meanings of little: Penny: What was Leonard like when he was
little? Beverly: I think you mean young. He s always been little. This may also be
observed when she and Sheldon talk to each other and the audience does not know
what their conversation is about: Sheldon: So, what do you think? Beverly: I m
very tempted. I m just not sure it s appropriate with my son s roommate. Sheldon:
Normally, I d feel the same way. But based on everything I ve observed about us, I
can t help but speculate we d be very good together. Beverly: True. I ve had a similar
observation. It s certainly something I could never do with my
Wealth Inequality Essay
What do you already know about your topic?
Some of the things I already know about this topic is that the way the wealth is
distributed is broken down into several different categories. We have the upper class,
middle class, and the lower class. The way the wealth is distributed amongst these
groups is very uneven. There are many different factors which influence the way
wealth is distributed amongst these groups.
What do you still need to learn about your topic
Some of the words that describe my topic are wealth distribution in the United States,
wealth amongst the upper class versus the lower class, and how wealth distribution
has changed over time.

Some of the discussions in this section include how crime has to play a role in
wealth inequality as well as how a culture could shape the way wealth is distributed.
The article discusses about the causes of the wealth inequality, but not the effects of it.
How did this discussion affect your evaluation of the content of the main article?
By reading the discussion form it made me realize that crime actually plays a big
role in wealth as well as the culture your bought into. The main article should
include this because it plays a major role. Also, the article could also use the effects
of wealth inequality because it mentions the causes of it, but doesn t really discuss
about the effects besides that it s not good for the economy.
Did the discussion pages give you ideas for things that you want to investigate
further?
The article certainly gave more ideas about the wealth inequality. For example how
crime and culture could play a role in how wealthy and poor people are.

In this paper, I have discussed the Flexible and Dynamic forms of Internetworking by
focusing on history of internetworking along with LAN s Routers, Hubs, switches
with its networking/internetworking functions and summarizing the general nature of
addressing schemes within the context of Internetworking and its naming and
communications.

Today, high speed LANs and switched internetworks are becoming widely used,
largely because they operate at very high speeds and support such high bandwidth
applications as voice and video conferencing.
Internetworking evolved as a solution to three key problems: isolated LANs,
duplication of resources, and a lack of network management. Isolated LANS made
electronic communication between different offices or departments impossible.
Duplication of resources meant that the same hardware and software had to be
supplied to each office or department, as did a separate support staff. This lack of
network management meant that no centralized method of managing and
troubleshooting networks existed (Universitat Koblenz Landau).
LEVELS INVOLVED IN BUILDING INTERNET
LOWEST LEVEL: ETHERNET SEGMENT
Ethernet segment consists of a collection of hosts connected by wires (twisted pairs)
to a
Hub. It normally spans a room or floor in a building.
Its typical operations include,
Each Ethernet adapter has a unique 48 ¬‐bit address (MAC address).
Hosts send bits to any other host in chunks called Frames.
Now hub copies each bit from each port to every other port. Fig 2: Ethernet Segment

NEXT LEVEL: BRIDGED ETHERNET SEGMENT
The oldest type of internetworking device is called a bridge. Normally, a bridge is
Helena Maria Viramontes s Under The Feet Of Jesus
The excerpt from the novel Under the feet of Jesus, by Helena Maria Viramontes,
shows the development of Estrella from being angry to understanding what she
needed to accomplish to succeed. Viramontes uses figurative language, selection of
detail, and tone to show the changes Estrella s character goes through to figure out
how beneficial it is to know what the letters in the alphabet looked like in order to
be able to read and to be interested in wanting to read.
Viramontes uses figurative language like similes and metaphors to show Estrella s
frustration with her lack of understanding of the world around her her teachers and
her understanding of the tools. The author says, ...all that a jumbled steel inside the
box... seemed as confusing and foreign as the alphabet she could not decipher. (line 5
8). As Estrella looked inside the tool chest she was not able to identify what the tools
were, which caused her to feel anger. Moreover, the author compares Estrella s
confusion of the tools in the tool chest to her understanding of the alphabet that
confused her. This was significant since it showed that just like the secrets she
thought were inside the tool chest, Estrella also felt her teachers were keeping
secrets from her. The author says, Estrella hated when things were kept from her. The
teachers in the school did the same, never giving her the information she wanted.
Estrella would ask over and over. So what is this, and point to the diagonal lines

A Comparison of Blue Remembered Hills by Denis Potter and Hope and Glory
produced by John Boorman There are many significant similarities and differences
between the two extracts I have studied. A common similarity being the era they
are set in; during the Second World War. Although the two pieces of drama are set
in the same time period, they offer a great contrast in terms of their setting. Blue
Remember Hills, set in 1943, is a naturalistic play situated in the countryside.
Whereas Hope and Glory very much displays the effects of war in towns and cities,
particularly the suburbs of London. In addition Blue Remember Hills follows the
life of a gang of children who are played by adult actors... Show more content on

In my research I incorporate the evacuation of children during the Second World
War. During the Second World War many children were evacuated from the major
towns and cities Main targets for bombing) into the countryside which was
considered to be a safer place. At first many evacuees felt homesick and
uncomfortable with their new surrounding but adapted quickly to the open fields
and freedom of the countryside. Many received good homes where they were well
cared for and provided with hearty meals. However this was not the case for all
evacuees. A minority of the evacuees were taken advantage of and used for
domestic help around the house and some were even abused. This applies to
Donald Duck in Blue Remember Hills. However it is clearly evident in characters
such as easy going Willie, that the countryside takes away the restrictions in the
cities and provides an safe, open environment for a child imagination to wonder,
provides a good contrast to this as the film shows the dangers that the children face
in their everyday lives, even the games they play on things they collect refer to war.
Various themes are used through out the pieces, some of which include bullying, war,
death, childhood innocence gangs, bullying and the classification of gender. However
Hope and Glory has the additional themes

The case of Toyota recall
By Daniel Opoku
Abstract Purpose: the main purpose of this study is to find out about the recalls of
Toyota vehicles which lead to the death of some innocent lives. The recall was due
to unintended acceleration. Toyota ultimately recalled millions of its cars for floor
mat issues, brake problems and sticky gas pedals. Methodology: Data was collected
online, by the help of some selected search engines. Information was collected from
Toyota s national website as well as other private sites. Findings/results: Most
organization should seek for customers or consumer s satisfaction rather than
targeting of making high profit. Arrogance and choosing to ignore quality warnings

The gas pedals was too long and there is a little space between it and the floor mat.
In all, there was a poorly designed floor mat Toyota began a massive recall last year
worldwide to fix the problems that were attributed to faulty accelerators, floor mats
getting stuck in gas pedals and brake problems in Prius hybrids. More than 8.5
million Toyota cars and trucks have been recalled. Drivers have complained of cars
careering out of control at 65mph while overtaking, and negotiating roundabouts so
fast that it felt like their car was on two wheels. A mechanical fault, caused by a
combination of wear and cold and wet weather, Toyota believes, means that the
accelerator pedal sometimes sticks down. Around 10,000 Toyota owners have so far
contacted a hotline to air concerns.
Toyota was overwhelmed by massive product recalls and damage to its reputation
after questions over the safety of its cars and allegations that the company did not act
quickly enough once problems had been identified. The problem commenced when
one duty police officer and his family back in August 2009 after their car, a Toyota
Lexus, unexpectedly accelerated, crashed into another vehicle, tumbled over an
embankment and burst into flames lead to the death of the man. Initial company
reports identified that the car may have been fitted with the wrong floor mats, which
could have slipped and entrapped the accelerator pedal. The problems began to
increase for Toyota.

The Strengths And Weakness Of The EU-Turkey Relations
Beginning with the strengths and weakness of the EU Turkey relations, According
to Adam (2012), The key of Turkey s success in foreign policy lies in its ability to
take full advantage of unique opportunities and deal with specific threats posed by
its strategic location at the intersection of Europe, Asia and Africa, and its historic
and cultural ties with the Balkans, the Middle East, and the Caucasus (p. 140). To
put it another way, Turkey gets political and economic benefits its geographical
location. Hence it has acquired opportunistic approach in order to reinforce its

people refer to this process as putting Turkey s full membership to the EU in the

Music and Painting
During the study of 20th century Western music history in this class, I found out
there are may same movements of art and music. I took 20th century Art history as
well so there is always the comparison of them in my mind. Music and art appear to
be two different art forms. Music is both auditory art, but also an art of time and
movement. Music express musicians feelings through sound, it will create images in
the mind of the viewer for them to have a variety of feelings, and to elicit in the
viewer emotional resonance. Painting is a visual art, space art. It is static. Painters
use lines, shades and other forms to sketched out some figurative or abstract pattern.
It provide visually to the viewer a strong impression and cause them reflect a variety
of emotions, resulting in aesthetic stimulation. Music and painting each is done
through a different medium with different means of artistic expression. They both
convey people the author s expression of the content and emotion. Many artists
themselves are both musicians and painters, such as Kandinsky, Schoenberg,
Leonardo da Vinci and extra. One of the great examples is Wassily Kandinsky. He is
one of the representatives of Russian expressionism painter. He also was a man
versed in music. He is a friend of expressionist music composer, Schoenberg. By
listening to Schoenberg s works, he felt like a recklessly in front of the same lines in
countless dance. Since Kandinsky
Jack London s Build A Fire
In 1910, Jack London wrote To Build a Fire with the deliberate intention of
meticulously describing the setting for this particular piece. The author intently
puts all his efforts to create the setting as an important, valuable role in his main
theme. He purposely did not give a name to the man or the dog. He wants to make
sure the reader clearly understood the setting and the importance of its role in this
story. Mr. London explicitly intertwines his message on the ironic moral reality
that can fall upon each one of us. It comes down to a choice. Real consequences

pride, the dangers of 50 below zero temperatures, and the need to build a fire.
Although the man in this story has not been given a name, pride and arrogance
loudly scream from the very beginning to the very end. The first sign of pride
sneaked out in the open from the statement, He was not alarmed by the lack of sun.
It had been days since he had seen the sun (London). The man still chose to travel on
the main Yukon trail. Do not travel alone the old timer from Sulphur Creek advised
(London). Even though the man had very little knowledge and foresight of what lay
ahead on the open trail, the man laughed at the advice cautioning him on the extreme

what has hit you. Pride and arrogance protruded from the man each step he made on

Video games have been around since the 40 s, reaching its popularity from the
mass mainstream crowds by the 70 s. Back to the simpler times where there were
less pixels and control buttons. Back to the games that didn t have storylines no
police chases, zombie apocalypses or saving any princesses. Which were what video
gamecreators and fans wanted as time progressed. More games, more visuals and
graphics, more dimension, more realism. Thru the years, video games have evolved
and expanded greatly due to more imaginative and creative ideas being developed and
thru the constant technological improvements there is a huge advancement compared
to the games that first came out 40 years ago.

Play turns to seriousness and seriousness to play. [2] When video games were
introduced, it was a whole new world for youths everywhere. I vividly remember
playing Mortal Kombat on the PlayStation 1 with my friends in awe of the colours
and graphics. There was a sense of competitiveness against whoever was playing. It
was fun when teaming up together, but once versing each other there would be a
point where we took the game quite seriously. It took a competitive turn during
gameplay but nevertheless it was an exciting firsthand experience for us players.
Street Fighter and Metal Gear were just two of the famed popular video games that
we begged our parents to buy for us. Pop the disc into our PlayStations and ask all
our friends to come over. During flow, attention is so fully invested in moment to
moment activity that there is little left over to devote toward the mental processes
that contribute to the experience of duration (Friedman, 1990). As a results,
persons deeply immersed in an activity typically report time passing quickly
(Conti, 2001). [3] These days, what with the extensive amount of consoles such as
the PlayStation, Xbox, DS and Wii ranges and all the games that come with it, it

New Jersey V. Kyrie Case Summary
May it Please the Court, Suzie, a seventeen year old student at Central High School in
Bristol, Virginia, sent some photographs of herself to her, at the time, boyfriend
Cyrus. After the relationship soured, Cyrus forwarded the most revealing pictures to
his upperclassmen friends, who started to show unwanted attention to Suzie. Suzie s
parents then contacted the school s principal, Mrs. Sheevers who then confronted
Cyrus, who denied the allegations. The principal then searched Cyrus for his phone,
but Cyrus did not have his phone on him at the time, so they checked his locker and
found the phone. On the phone, they found evidence that Cyrus had indeed sent the
photos to other boys. The principal then suspended Cyrus for two weeks. Cyrus then

searching for drugs in schools. The Court ruled in this case, ...no indication of

Basically, if there is no disturbance in the school day, then there should be a search

In What Way Does The Final Scene of Act 1 Demonstrate Dramatically The
Tensions Between The Characters Which Will Lead to Tragedy?
The final scene of Act 1 in Arthur Miller s A View From The Bridge demonstrates
dramatic tension in a variety of different ways. It is made fairly clear from the final
moments of the act when Alfieri returns to the stage that the play will end in tragedy.
Miller shows this through dialogue between the characters and in the plentiful stage
directions with which he liberally sprinkles the text. There is a range of conflict
present in the scene. The central conflict however, involves Eddie s unacknowledged
jealousy towards Rodolfo; this is the strongest.
The above dispute is clearly visible when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alfieri s interlude, between
Eddie leaving his office and the lights coming up on the apartment behind,
indicates quite clearly the play will end in tragedy. Alfieri says I could see every step
coming, step after step, like a dark figure walking down a hall toward a certain
door . He adds that he even asked an old, wise woman what she thought he should
do. The answer she gave was pray for him . It is obvious that Eddie is extremely
vulnerable.
Alfieri guesses how Eddie feels for Catherine and gently suggests that he needs to
let go. Unfortunately Eddie cannot bring himself to admit that he loves Catherine
like Beatrice and therefore does not benefit from Alfieri s advice. He reacts
furiously . He desperately tries to invent problems in his mind why Rodolfo cannot
marry Catherine because deep down he is jealous.
The next section of the scene opens with the family finishing dinner.
Other tensions become more apparent in this scene. A prime example is that between
Eddie and Beatrice. Their conflict is made apparent as
Beatrice desperately tries to keep the conversation going, sensing
Eddie s growing anger. Instead of trying to suppress his annoyance at
Rodolfo he erupts at the cousins and scorns Beatrice.
Sure. How you gonna catch sardines on a hook?
Everything that Rodolfo says during this scene, Eddie takes the wrong way. I think
this partly due to their very different personalities.
For example Eddie looks out for his

Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen
Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen
Since the threat of war in some part of the world everyday and because of the
colossal impact that it has had on our lives, it doesn t seem surprising that it is a
popular theme of poetry. Sonnets are an extremely passionate form of poetry, used to
show how the poet feels in their heart; both Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen create
this passion in excellent, but very different ways. Anthem for Doomed
Youth by Wilfred Owen is a Shakespearean sonnetreflecting on the callous life at
war. Owen wrote this poem during his four months at
Craiglockhart, a war hospital, whilst recovering from trench fever.
Faced with many fatally injured men, this must have inspired him to write a great
deal. Unlike ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Made up of an octave and a sestet, the first stanza follows the
Shakespearean sonnet form, whereas the second follows the Petrarchan sonnet
pattern. Together the two stanzas invite the reader to visualize the prominence of
the deceased soldier. Combining England s traditions, legacy and his patriotism,
Brooke talks of the place where he will spend his after life which is a cross
between England and heaven. There is not as much of a connection between the
poet and reader in Brooke s sonnet as he is addressing you If I should die, think only
this of me . I prefer the way in which Owen gets the reader interested by getting them
to question their thoughts.
In parts of the poem I feel that Brooke is just an arrogant man;
That there s some corner of a foreign field
That is forever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
With this, Brooke makes it apparent that he believes that wherever he is buried will
become purer as his English body shall turn to dust and become a part of it. I find
this overly intense and I am almost disgusted, as I find it hard to believe that
someone could feel so superior by merely being English. Although Owen s poem is
also very intense I find it easier to understand his thought process and can read it in
agreement. Whilst saying this, in Brooke s case, it may just be ignorance and he
could quite easily be excused due to the fact

Human Potential In Annie Dillard s Living Like Weasels
Mark Twain once said, The two most important days in your life are the day that
you are born and the day you find out why. Everyone has their own priorities in life.
Each person finding his or her own passion in order to reach one s full potential.
Regardless of whether it is a occupational, spiritual, or emotional goal, everyone
should find that aspect in his or her life that sets fire to their soul so much that he or
she is willing to do absolutely anything in order to achieve it. Annie Dillards piece

for everyone to follow his or her dreams. The essay begins with a brief explanation of

Her first example occurs in paragraph four when she is describing the pond. By
using a remarkable piece of shallowness, the author not only emphasizes the
significance of the pond but also describe the depth of it. The reader can literally
picture a shallow pond in his or her mind while also understanding how much life it
can support, hence the term remarkable, as further explained in the paragraph. Once
Dillard finally encounters the weasel, their look was described that of two lovers, or
deadly enemies. By using this comparison, she exemplifies the strength of the
connection, even though it is described using near opposite manners. With the use of
this paradox, Dillard succeeds at showing the inability to remove oneself from a
powerful moment. As one moves further into the story, it is evident to any reader that
her use of learn something of mindlessness truly wraps her story together in a sense
that it continues her style while still relating it to the theme. The idea of learning
from nothing emphasizes the thought that simplicity is acceptable when one is

The Importance Of The Older Generation
I will probably upset ninety percent of the population over the age of thirty with
my next statement, so with that said, I over my life time have come to believe
there are many lessons older generations can learn from mine; also referred to as the
millennials. My generation consists of anyone born from 1995 2005, and there is no
shortage of criticism from the older population on our faults and life choices. Every
move forward my generationseems to make is met with a huge wave of resistance
coming from the rest of the citizens in America. This is where if the older
generations were willing to give our unconventional ways just a second of
attention they may be surprised and learn a thing or two from us growing up in
this era. Some of the main things I believe they could benefit from learning from
us is the fact that technology is not going anywhere and they should learn to love it
as it continues to advance. They should not measure their life success based on
money but instead of happiness and how complete they feel within themselves. No
one should get too busy with work or stressed over living that they forget it is fine
to relax and have fun every now and then. Another big lesson is they could learn to
be more open minded and accepting of everyone around them, including everyone in
the LGBTQ+ community as well as people of different races. My generation is also a
lot more cynical than the older population which usually comes with a negative
connotation but I believe you
Anxiety Disorder Essay
About 40 million American adults suffer from some sort of anxiety disorder. Many
Americans have to deal with it everyday. Anxiety is one of the most common mental
/emotional disorders. Although many Americans have some type of anxiety disorder,
the way it affects someone is different for every person. Most people are unaware of
what anxietyactually is and how much it could affect someone. Anxiety is the body s
natural response to danger or a difficult situation. It is the automatic alarm that goes
off when someone is under pressure. (Smith, 2016) Some could describe anxiety as a
persistent, uncontrollable, and overwhelming feeling that prevents them from their
daily activities. Many Americans have and experience some type of anxiety disorder.

Examples Of Color Symbolism In The Great Gatsby

Color Symbolism in The Great Gatsby
Symbolism is arguable one of the most important literary devices in all of literature.
Not only is it used to help explain key plot points in a story, but it is also used to
highlight certain aspects in a story you might not have noticed originally. In the novel
The Great Gatsby, the author F. Scott Fitzgerald uses symbolism through color to
express mood, different characters, and a variety of themes though the story. Colors
like white, yellow, and blue each have their own meanings to be explored by not
only the readers of the paper, but the readers of the book.
The color white traditionally is a symbol of purity in most cultures around the
world. Women dress in white during a wedding ceremony because of this color
symbolism. However in The Great Gatsby the symbol white appears to have a
similar meaning, but the color s true implications are not what it seems. In the
article Color Symbolism in The Great Gatsby , the author Daniel J. Schneider says
The white Daisy embodies the vision which Gatsby (who, like Lord Jim, usually
wears white suits) seek to embrace but which Nick, who discovers the corrup
admixture of dream and reality... (Schnider .p146) Characters in The Great Gatsby
like Daisy, are synonymous with the color white and are implicated to be pure and
incorruptible. The point Schneider makes is that Daisy is not as innocent as she
seems. The color white truly
Essay on Misfortune and Comedy in Shakespeare s Play, A...
A Winter s Tale by William Shakespeare is a chilling play full of misfortune and
comedy. Throughout the play, the themes of death and suffering are present, but yet
the way in which they are presented is both comical and strange. The way in which
the dialogue takes place or the way in which actions occur seem to be ambiguous.
One of the most pivotal points of the story takes place over a very short time span,
climaxing over three pages, and declining almost immediately thereafter. In this case,
the deathof Hermione and Mamillius occurs and is resolved, with their burial
following quickly after. The wording throughout the text can be interpreted in several
ways, especially in the way which death is represented throughout the play. Death...

However, strangely none of the deaths occur on stage, rather both deaths are

Hermione is in fact dead, but still want Leontes to go forth and see for himself.
Strange considering that before this point Paulina had changed her views towards
the tyrant king. Paulina no longer respected her king as before, for he had gone
blind with rage. Leontes up and till this point had discredited his queen, already he
had forgotten how to bring out the luster or breath in her. All he saw was an
adulterous, somebody guilty of high treason. Death changed Leontes, for he no
longer sought revenge nor did he want to dispel his wrath. Instead he now saw his
mistakes, and would like to mend them, but sadly cannot. The events that have
occurred are done, and there is no way of going back to change them. Leontes himself
sees this, and now the play may move on from the wretchedness that was the new
ruler. Now the focus can shift to the daughter that he had banished before, that was

Christian Identity
The recognition of the identity as a Christian took for a long time. The disciples,
apostles, and other followers of Jesus gradually formed the Christian identity with the
growth of faith and the changes in the social, religious environment. In Mark, the
disciples and the followers of Jesus believed in Jesus, but their faith was too weak to
become Christians. Jesus s resurrection confirmed Jesus as the Son of Men to the
unfaithful followers and strengthened their faith. In Acts, the apostles and the
followers of Jesus formed an organized Christian community though they had not had
a clear concept of Christians. But the later persecutions and the martyrdom facilitated
and confirmed their Christian identity.

Through consistent praying and the power of doing miracles which were bestowed
upon them through the Holy Spirit, the apostles brought more and more people to
become the followers of Jesus. The Book of Act was regarded as the Christian history
because it recorded how the early Christians formed a community and began to build
up their faith through the persecutions they faced.
Hierarchical Christian belonging community
The Christians at this time formed a Christian belonging community. Under the
leadership of John and Peter, all the believers were one in heart and mind and
shared everything they had (Acts 4: 32). Everyone was willing and eager to
contribute to the community with all they had. They did not only share the
possessions, but also praised God and enjoyed the favor of all the people (Acts 2: 45
47). It was a loving and belonging community.
It is a hierarchical community as well. When Ananias and Sapphira cheated on their
money and lied to Peter, they were cursed to death. The apostles had the authority in
the community to supervise everyone s behaviors. The Christians community at this
time was a well organized community within which everyone shared the same

Success with consumers may not translate to success in the marketplace, however,
unless other conditions also prevail. The ability of the customer mind set to create

The competitors of Coca Cola Pepsi and others don t really pose much of a threat

Childhood Attachment Theories
Early attachments of children to their caregivers are a widely studied subject among
psychologists. Childhood attachment theories draw their theses and components from
cognitive, behavioral, and psychoanalytic branches of psychology; in the form that
attachments deals with what a child is thinking, doing, and the analyses of these
attachments in later life (Weiten, 2005). Attachment refers to the close, emotional
bonds of affection that develop between infants and their caregivers. (Weiten, 2005)
The age that attachments start forming is usually between 6 to 9 months, depending
on the child; prior to this, a child can be handed off to babysitters with little protest,
but after attachments begin forming children may develop separation anxiety
(Weiten, 2005, Wicks Nelson Israel, 2009). There are three to four different types of
attachments. The first is a secure attachment, or healthy attachment, in which
securely attached infants, when distressed by caregiver separation, seek contact with
her upon her return, react positively, and use the caregiver as a secure base from
which they venture forth to explore the environment. (Wicks Nelson Israel, 2009) An
anxious ambivalent child is anxious when their caregiver leaves, but is not
particularly happy when she returns, and they may or may not use their caregiver as a
base to explore their surroundings, they may just cling to her to entire time (Weiten,
2005). The last attachment for most psychologists is the avoidant

Death of a Discipline1 observes that a new comparative literature is essential to
undermine and undo the tendency of dominant cultures to appropriate emergent ones`
in other words the study needs to go beyond the paradigm of western literatures and
societies. Literary scholars pursuing the study of comparative literature is in constant
quest of eliciting similarities and dissimilarities between two significant literary

Themes, myths, social and religious movements are some of the major areas to be
encompassed by the scholars. The field of comparative literature is bombarded with
the terms of regional literatures, national literatures, international literatures and
world literatures. Every region, every nation has its own culture and practice which in
turn is reflected in the significant literary texts facilitating to comprehend the nuances
of a culture and
Facial Stereotypes
There are mathematical equations, such as the golden ratio, which can be used to
supposedly create the ideal human body. This proportion was used by Da Vinci to
draw the perfect male body. An individual is said to have a beautiful face when it
has a ratio of 1.6180339, or approximately 1.62. Facial symmetry can be measured
by dividing the length of a face by the width of the widest part of the face; the
closer quotient is 1.62 the more beautiful a face is according to the golden ratio. The
golden ratio can also be used on various other parts of the body including; arm length,
and height. Facial characteristics also play a role in determining an individual s
attractiveness. The color smoothness of an individuals skinhas an impact on their...

Throughout history males have sought after muscularity, leanness, and youthfulness.
During the 1900 s, the ideal body type for a male was thin and athletic. These
characteristics have become much more dramatic over the last few decades. The
hyper masculine images portrayed by celebrities such as, Dwayne Johnson (The
Rock), Mark Wahlberg, and Gerard Butler have lead to men s quest for unrealistic
physiques. Other characteristics such as, height, masculinity, and assertiveness are
also characteristics of the ideal
Analysis Of Works And Days By Hesiod
Who? Hesiod was a Greek poet of the 700 BC time frame. Many refer to him as the
first writing poet of the western civilization. What? This writing is a classical
literature piece. He writes about the sources for the cultures of the West. He draws
and writes about the traditions of the people, his way of being appealing to many
cities in which his writings would be told. In Works and Days he speaks to ethical
working of labor of the time. A real truth about the universal requirement of Man,
and the notion he is willing to work to always get by and survive. Where? The
ancient Greek cities that existed in the 7th and 8th centuries BC. He elaborates on
one of the key elements as the stages of a man as he lives out his life. There is the
The Southern Stereotype Essay
Long Live Southern Stereotypes
Ever since Scarlett O Hara struggled to find love and Andy Taylor was elected
Mayberry s Sheriff, filmmakers and television producers have yet to lose any
fondness for stereotyping the southern culture. There are many who despise any form
of labeling or stereotyping within the media, fearing false characterizations or
inaccurate portrayals of southern customs, traditions, and people. Exposure to
southern stereotypes through media is an appealing element in the American lifestyle
that can render endearing impressions, contribute genuine metaphors, and provide
viewers with a unique and fascinating (whether positive or negative) glimpse toward
a regional culture.
The mass media, or media at large, would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These are pointed descriptions, but they are true and the American culture loves (and
loves to hate) the southern stereotype and it is here to stay.
Now what about those who may have that southern stereotypical drawl? Southern
accents do not make one stupid; being stupid does. Southerners should be proud of
the southern accent. However, the media has managed to cause dismay among
many southerners who possess the engaging and attractive drawl. Should a visitor
traveling to North Dakota, view a Fargo native as stupid or ignorant because of the
distinct accent heard there? Should a North Dakota resident ridicule a person from
the Bronx because of the peculiar accent heard there? Somehow people are ashamed
of their unique speech patterns rather than being proud of a colloquial accent. The
southern stereotype will be here for a long time to come, so love it and embrace it.
According to Jack G. Shaheen in his essay titled, The Media s Image of Arabs,
Hollywood producers must have instant kits that contain sunglasses, Arab clothing,
tents, and mosques in order to provide a snapshot of Hollywood s stereotypical Arab
(99). Undoubtedly, the same holds true when depicting the typical southern example.

Donald Finkel s The Great Wave Off Kanagawa
The Great Wave: Hokusai by Donald Finkel is a poem written about The Great
Wave Off Kanagawa , an artwork produced from 1831 to 1833 by Katsushika
Hokusai during the Edo period. The The Great Wave Off Kanagawa is just one of
The Thirty six Views of Mt. Fuji . This woodblock print portrays a tremendous
tsunami overpowering small man powered boats, along with Mount Fujiin the
background. The compelling contrast between the turbulent waves and light colored
sky draws the viewer s eyes to the central figure of Mount Fuji, which was
considered a sacred symbol of beauty and immortality. In order for Finkel to develop
a connection with Hokusais work of art, he finds common ground between the world
of the artist and the observer. Donald Finkel s... Show more content on

According to Donald Finkel, describing his own speculations help the observer
understand his interpretation of the artwork. In light of this, he shares the
correlation between the different parts of nature and color in the first stanza by
drawing attention to how the sea is blue (1). By starting his poem with this reason,
repeated twice with other elements of the painting, it conjures the imagery of a
chain reaction within creation. The land, sea, and people are linked as one a
commentary on the inclusiveness of nature. In addition to the color blue, a
connection is created with the use of similes between the color of the men s white
faces , which was like the snow on Fuji...and the crest of the wave (3). It is not by
mere coincidence that the three main objects in Hokusai s work are alike in color.
Once again, land, sea, and humanity are linked in a triangle, providing balance.
Finally, a yellow neutral tone envelops the people, an earthcolored sky that is also
the color of their boats (8, 4 5). Finkel, and the woodblock, are saying that nature is
not the tool of humans, but rather that humans are just one part of a larger world that,
as the wave shows, can just as easily overwhelm
Ignorance Vs Ignorance
Often innocence is paired with ignorance, but there should be a divisible line
between the two. Lacking knowledge on subjects that are erotic, inappropriate or
unfavorable makes one innocent. It does not make them ignorant because they are
still aware but choose not to speak on them. Ignorance can be the lack of knowledge
on those matters as well, but has chosen to speak on them anyway. This is pernicious
because it can strip innocence away. Innocence does not equal ignorance and being
sheltered from the corruptions of society does not make one less aware of the world
around them. People corrupted by experience portray ignorance if they are still
oblivious to their surroundings. An ignorant person will continue to speak on matters

Ignorance is the action of willfully ignoring veracity. If innocence can be learned,
then ignorance could be taught. In that case the teacher is gradually eradicating the
once innocent of their innocence. One might say that innocence is also the result of
and held within the imagination. Considering that innocence can be learned, does
that mean it can be regained? A young child is oblivious to the corruption of the
world. An older child is aware of it, but still maintains their innocence by keeping
themselves protected from potential harm. As an adult, it is proven difficult to keep
innocence. Adults need to take responsibility and initiative. Doing so heightens the
probability that they are more greatly affected by the demoralization of the world.
As Tim Lott shares his experience on this pondering question he expresses an almost
buoyant outlook on the answer. Lott states that innocence is the growth of self
consciousness , to become more aware of oneself. He also mentions that you cannot
fully reclaim innocence in its initial form. As one gets older, they can forget what
the world has taught them. Lott uses a quote from Shakespeare that interestingly
puts the recovery of one s innocence into a new perspective. He quotes Last scene of
all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion.
this can be compared to alzheimer s. It is safe to say that one suffering from this

Baculovirus Research Paper
Biopesticides Several microbes (viruses, bacteria and fungi) are being developed
as suitable biopestecides for management of insect and nematodal pests. Some
fungi have good potential of their use as bionematicides to control nema todal pests
of vegetables, fruit and cereal crops. Some bacterial and fungal products are also
use to control disease of roots and shoots of plants. Baculovirus family of insect
pathogens are reliable vehicles for carrying genes into insect cells. Recombinant
baculovirus vectors are being developed for geneexpression and protein production in
both insect cellcultures and living larvae. Therapeutic agents, vaccines, reagents, and
pesticides are some of the products that can be made by this unusual method (Knight,
1991). High production levels of biologically active products can be achieved in this
way. Under the control of strong baculovirus derived promoter sequence, productivity
in insect system can exceed that in mammalian systems by thousands of times

Baculovirus normally contain gene called egt that blocks molting in the insect
host, giving it more time to eat. Deleting the egt gene from baculovirus
significantly reduce insect feeding damage. Adding genes for exogenous toxin also
enhances baculovirus effectiveness. Splicing the genes that encode the paralytic
insect toxin produced by predatory mites into baculovirus can kill infected insect
in as little as 2 days (knight, 1991), or the gene for an insect selective scorpion
toxin can be added to a B.mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV) vector. B.mori
larvae infected with this recombinant virus stop feeding 40 hours after the infection,
instead of the usual 96%. For crop pest, the same scorpion toxin has been added to
an AcNPV vector, decreasing the average time to kill Heliothis virescens larvae from
125 hours to 88 hours (Knight,

Unforeseen Opportunity in an Election
You are in charge of the advertising staff for Cindy Smith s election campaign. Cindy
is trying to prevent the eight term incumbent, Jesse Jones, from getting another term
in the U.S. House of Representatives. Cindy decided to run against Jesse because he
wrote 150 bad checks in the House banking scandal, voted to not disclose the names
of the people involved in the scandal, and voted to give himself a substantial pay
raise at taxpayers expense. Furthermore, Jesse seems unconcerned with the debt crisis
and has been criticized by the national press for funding questionable projects in his
district at the expense of more worthy projects elsewhere in the nation. Moreover,

Jack is the president of the student body of the local college. He has been politically
active for the past three years, and two years ago he worked on a U.S. Senator s
reelection campaign. Everyone on the advertising staff was enthusiastic and
energetic after Cindy s success in the primary, but this enthusiasm has dampened
considerably with the post debate poll results and with Jesse Jones relentless attacks
on Cindy s character. Everyone has said the election is slipping away, and Megan
and Jack have threatened to quit and go back to school unless Cindy does something
to turn the situation around. The cohesiveness of the group and your relationships
with Megan, Nancy, and Jack are currently at an all time low.
The campaign manager, Jenny O Connor, called you into her office today.
Apparently an anonymous tipster told someone on the campaign staff that Jesse
Jones was having an affair and had fathered a child out of wedlock. Someone on
the staff followed up on the tip and has uncovered evidence lending support to this
allegation. Jenny believes a negative ad depicting Jesse Jones as a corrupt father and
politician would be enough to get Cindy elected. Although Cindy has publicly stated
she will not run negative ads in her campaign, Jenny has asked you to take a day to
think about running one on Jesse Jones. Jenny has

  • 1. Short Essay On Child Labour Composing an essay on the subject of child labor presents a multifaceted challenge that goes beyond the mere act of writing. The intricacies of this topic demand a delicate balance between addressing the gravity of the issue and maintaining a level of sensitivity towards the young lives affected by it. Crafting a piece that not only highlights the severity of child labor but also proposes viable solutions requires in-depth research, a nuanced understanding of socio-economic factors, and a keen awareness of the ethical implications involved. The difficulty intensifies as one navigates through the plethora of statistics, case studies, and historical perspectives associated with child labor. Weaving these disparate elements into a coherent narrative demands not only proficiency in writing but also a profound comprehension of the global landscape, economic structures, and cultural nuances that contribute to the persistence of child labor. Moreover, the emotional weight of the topic adds another layer of complexity. Balancing the need for a compelling narrative with a responsible portrayal of the hardships faced by the affected children requires a delicate touch. It necessitates an empathetic yet objective stance to avoid sensationalism while still driving home the urgency of the issue. In conclusion, tackling the task of writing an essay on child labor is no simple feat. It involves delving into the complexities of a deeply ingrained societal problem, navigating through a sea of information, and crafting a narrative that is both informative and emotionally resonant. • 3. Analysis Of The Devil In The White City By Erik Larson In Erik Larson s tale The Devil In The White City he utilizes chapter separation in order to convey the plot lines of the two different stories. This author s craft technique helps in the overall organization of the plot. In addition, the device helps the reader understand and seperate the two stories up until the point that they relate more to each other. Larson uses the technique of separating chapters for a logical organization of ideas throughout the entire story. A logical organization that it is easy to understand and make sense of for the reader. This author s craft technique is very effective throughout the story. The technique is very effective because it helps the reader understand the events that occured easier then by putting it in a chronological order. If the author organized it chronologically it would be easier to mix up the people involved. In addition, the two storylines ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In addition, the separation demonstrates the good and evil that occurred during the time of Chicago s World Fair and the years leading up to it. For example, in Part 1 at the end of the chapter titled The Trouble Is Just Begun Larson states, Even Depew, however, did not foresee the true magnitude of the forces that were converging on Burnham and Root. At this moment he and they saw the challenge in its two most fundamental dimensions, time and money, and these were stark enough (34). Then on the next page, the start of the next chapter, Holmes story is introduced as one morning in August 1886, as heat rose from the streets with the intensity of a child s fever, a man calling himself H. H. Holmes walked into one of Chicago s train stations (35). This demonstrates how the technique of separate chapters and differing paragraph lengths is effective in the portrayal of the information. In this case, the reader can see how the separate chapters clearly separates the two stories that occured in 1890 s
  • 4. The Negative Role Of Women In The Great Gatsby Women are capable of bringing human beings in this world, and they live a lot longer than men. They are like the sun, the whole world needs women but in other cases, this cannot be said for most women. Based on The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and the motion picture Chicago directed by Rob Marshall, both prove that during the 1920s, women had a negative influence in society. They were seen as toys. They were manipulative over men and had a way of always getting what they wanted using lust and acting a bit promiscuous. Rather than being seen as human beings, they were seen as trophies and were not taken serious and were ignorant. They would only care about money or fame. Even during the 1920 s women are portrayed as always being competitive and jealous towards each other when it comes to receiving attention. In The Great Gatsbyboth Daisy and Myrtle are very different women, but as females they held the same role, meaning that they both had in interest in money and were both were hungry for money. In the novel, Gatsby described Daisy as having a voice full of money (120) meaning all she cares about is money. For a long time, Gatsby tried his best to get Daisy to notice him. In the past they were both in a relationship with each other, but there was a time when Gatsby didn t have money, and joined the army. When that happened, Daisy lost contact with him and began seeing other guys until she met Tom, the somewhat perfect male that was suitable to her
  • 5. Analysis Of Bhp Billiton And Telstra Question 1 The companies that I found were BHP Billiton and Telstra. Based on their annual reports in 2015, the approach used by them to value their intangible and depreciating assets was the straight line method. For the straight line depreciation method, the value of an asset is depreciated evenly each year over the estimated useful life of the asset. For BHP Billiton, its buildings are estimated to have a useful life of 25 to 50 years while its plant and equipment is generally has useful life of 3 to 30 years. In addition, amounts paid for the acquisition of identifiable intangible assets such as software and licences are capitalised at the fair value of consideration paid and are recorded at cost less the accumulated amortisation and impairment charges. Identifiable intangible assets with a finite life are amortised on a straight line basis over their expected useful life, which is typically no more than eight years. BHP Billiton has no identifiable intangible assets for which the expected useful life is indefinite. On the other hand, Telstra s property, plant and equipment, including buildings and leasehold property but excluding freehold land, are depreciated on a straight line basis to the income statement over their estimated service lives. Assets start depreciating when they are installed and ready for use. For Telstra, its building is estimated to have useful life of 31 to 52 years, data core network has useful life of 4 to 10 years while IT equipment has useful

Suburban Development and Suburban Lifw after World War II In Suburban Nation the authors recognize three points in culture change: Social Marketing, Removal of existents barriers to change, and Enactment of new regulations. Urban sprawl was a major problem and had many negative effects. Suburban sprawl, called urban sprawl was a result of overpopulation. Sprawl occurred when cities spread outward. Forests and farmland were being destroyed to create new housing subdivisions, shopping centers, offices, parking areas, civic institutions and roadways. State governments built highways and roads to serve all the new commuters moving in and out of the city. Developers chose to build on less expensive land farther away from the urban core. Land prices were lower and housing in these developments was more affordable. Some people chose a longer commute in exchange for more comfortable, low priced housing. The sprawl was a chronological process that devastated the land and life of the American people. This problem described here continues to be a problem. And many people are unaware that urban sprawl continues to be a problem. Friendly neighborhoods, traditional pedestrian have fallen victim to this problem. Environmental activists claimed that urban sprawl, was a substantial environmental threat. But activists concerned about sprawl should concentrate on existing government policies that encourage suburban development and prevent greater redevelopment of urban areas. They were two unlike models of urban growth; the old fashioned

Apple had stated, as the new operating system becomes widely deployed over the next several weeks, the number of IPhones and IPads that Apple is capable of breaking into for police will steadily dwindle to the point where only devices several years old and incapable of running iOS 8 can be unlocked by Apple (Timberg). The sole purpose of a warrant is to gain access to a highly suspected criminals information without any need of the persons permission. Apple said. that it is making it impossible for the company to turn over data from most iPhones or iPads to police even when they have a valid search warrant (Timberg). One of the greatest motivators for change, is knowing that you should be better. Not just that you wish to be different, but knowing you have fallen short of your own potential. When I observed myself going into senior year, I knew that I had fallen short of my potential I was not being my best self and I set out to change that. Running has never been my thing. I was always the girl lagging behind when the class ran laps in gym; always the one with the slowest mile time. I loathed running more than anything yet I envied those who could run with ease. • 12. Sitcom Humor Analysis 3.3. Manner The maxim of manner is flouted when the speaker uses ambiguous language or does not talk properly and understandably (Hu 2012: 1188). Sitcom humour makes use of lexical and referential ambiguity to flout this maxim for humour (Wu n.d.: 66/67). In the episode, the characters flout this maxim by using words that others do not know or by using words and phrases which are lexically ambiguous. When characters use words that others do not know, it either ridicules the speaker (because they are unable to communicate with others) or the listener (because they have a lack of knowledge). Today, high speed LANs and switched internetworks are becoming widely used, largely because they operate at very high speeds and support such high bandwidth applications as voice and video conferencing. Internetworking evolved as a solution to three key problems: isolated LANs, duplication of resources, and a lack of network management. Isolated LANS made electronic communication between different offices or departments impossible. Duplication of resources meant that the same hardware and software had to be supplied to each office or department, as did a separate support staff. This lack of network management meant that no centralized method of managing and troubleshooting networks existed (Universitat Koblenz Landau). As Estrella looked inside the tool chest she was not able to identify what the tools were, which caused her to feel anger. Moreover, the author compares Estrella s confusion of the tools in the tool chest to her understanding of the alphabet that confused her. This was significant since it showed that just like the secrets she thought were inside the tool chest, Estrella also felt her teachers were keeping secrets from her. The author says, Estrella hated when things were kept from her. The teachers in the school did the same, never giving her the information she wanted. Estrella would ask over and over. More than 8.5 million Toyota cars and trucks have been recalled. Drivers have complained of cars careering out of control at 65mph while overtaking, and negotiating roundabouts so fast that it felt like their car was on two wheels. A mechanical fault, caused by a combination of wear and cold and wet weather, Toyota believes, means that the accelerator pedal sometimes sticks down. Around 10,000 Toyota owners have so far contacted a hotline to air concerns. Toyota was overwhelmed by massive product recalls and damage to its reputation after questions over the safety of its cars and allegations that the company did not act quickly enough once problems had been identified. The problem commenced when one duty police officer and his family back in August 2009 after their car, a Toyota Lexus, unexpectedly accelerated, crashed into another vehicle, tumbled over an embankment and burst into flames lead to the death of the man. Initial company reports identified that the car may have been fitted with the wrong floor mats, which could have slipped and entrapped the accelerator pedal. The problems began to increase for Toyota.

I took 20th century Art history as well so there is always the comparison of them in my mind. Music and art appear to be two different art forms. Music is both auditory art, but also an art of time and movement. Music express musicians feelings through sound, it will create images in the mind of the viewer for them to have a variety of feelings, and to elicit in the viewer emotional resonance. Painting is a visual art, space art. It is static. Painters use lines, shades and other forms to sketched out some figurative or abstract pattern. Music and painting each is done through a different medium with different means of artistic expression. They both convey people the author s expression of the content and emotion. Many artists themselves are both musicians and painters, such as Kandinsky, Schoenberg, Leonardo da Vinci and extra. One of the great examples is Wassily Kandinsky. The author intently puts all his efforts to create the setting as an important, valuable role in his main theme. He purposely did not give a name to the man or the dog. He wants to make sure the reader clearly understood the setting and the importance of its role in this story. Mr. London explicitly intertwines his message on the ironic moral reality that can fall upon each one of us. It comes down to a choice. Real consequences happen. The irony can be seen through three different points as follows: the man s pride, the dangers of 50 below zero temperatures, and the need to build a fire. Although the man in this story has not been given a name, pride and arrogance loudly scream from the very beginning to the very end. The first sign of pride sneaked out in the open from the statement, He was not alarmed by the lack of sun. It had been days since he had seen the sun (London). The man still chose to travel on the main Yukon trail. Do not travel alone the old timer from Sulphur Creek advised (London). Even though the man had very little knowledge and foresight of what lay ahead on the open trail, the man laughed at the advice cautioning him on the extreme cold. Dangers do have a way of attacking around the corner before you even know what has hit you. Pride and arrogance protruded from the man each step he made on this

After the relationship soured, Cyrus forwarded the most revealing pictures to his upperclassmen friends, who started to show unwanted attention to Suzie. Suzie s parents then contacted the school s principal, Mrs. Sheevers who then confronted Cyrus, who denied the allegations. The principal then searched Cyrus for his phone, but Cyrus did not have his phone on him at the time, so they checked his locker and found the phone. On the phone, they found evidence that Cyrus had indeed sent the photos to other boys. The principal then suspended Cyrus for two weeks. The final scene of Act 1 in Arthur Miller s A View From The Bridge demonstrates dramatic tension in a variety of different ways. It is made fairly clear from the final moments of the act when Alfieri returns to the stage that the play will end in tragedy. Miller shows this through dialogue between the characters and in the plentiful stage directions with which he liberally sprinkles the text. There is a range of conflict present in the scene. The central conflict however, involves Eddie s unacknowledged jealousy towards Rodolfo; this is the strongest. The above dispute is clearly visible when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alfieri s interlude, between Eddie leaving his office and the lights coming up on the apartment behind, indicates quite clearly the play will end in tragedy. Alfieri says I could see every step coming, step after step, like a dark figure walking down a hall toward a certain door . He adds that he even asked an old, wise woman what she thought he should do. The answer she gave was pray for him . It is obvious that Eddie is extremely vulnerable. Alfieri guesses how Eddie feels for Catherine and gently suggests that he needs to let go. Unfortunately Eddie cannot bring himself to admit that he loves Catherine like Beatrice and therefore does not benefit from Alfieri s advice. He reacts furiously . He desperately tries to invent problems in his mind why Rodolfo cannot marry Catherine because deep down he is jealous. The next section of the scene opens with the family finishing dinner. Other tensions become more apparent in this scene. A prime example is that between Eddie and Beatrice. Their conflict is made apparent as Beatrice desperately tries to keep the conversation going, sensing Eddie s growing anger. Instead of trying to suppress his annoyance at Rodolfo he erupts at the cousins and scorns Beatrice. Sure. How you gonna catch sardines on a hook? Everything that Rodolfo says during this scene, Eddie takes the wrong way. I think this partly due to their very different personalities. For example Eddie looks out for his

Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen Since the threat of war in some part of the world everyday and because of the colossal impact that it has had on our lives, it doesn t seem surprising that it is a popular theme of poetry. Sonnets are an extremely passionate form of poetry, used to show how the poet feels in their heart; both Rupert Brooke and Wilfred Owen create this passion in excellent, but very different ways. Anthem for Doomed Youth by Wilfred Owen is a Shakespearean sonnetreflecting on the callous life at war. Faced with many fatally injured men, this must have inspired him to write a great deal. Unlike ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Made up of an octave and a sestet, the first stanza follows the Shakespearean sonnet form, whereas the second follows the Petrarchan sonnet pattern. Together the two stanzas invite the reader to visualize the prominence of the deceased soldier. Combining England s traditions, legacy and his patriotism, Brooke talks of the place where he will spend his after life which is a cross between England and heaven. There is not as much of a connection between the poet and reader in Brooke s sonnet as he is addressing you If I should die, think only this of me . I prefer the way in which Owen gets the reader interested by getting them to question their thoughts. In parts of the poem I feel that Brooke is just an arrogant man; That there s some corner of a foreign field That is forever England. There shall be In that rich earth a richer dust concealed; With this, Brooke makes it apparent that he believes that wherever he is buried will become purer as his English body shall turn to dust and become a part of it. I find this overly intense and I am almost disgusted, as I find it hard to believe that someone could feel so superior by merely being English. Although Owen s poem is also very intense I find it easier to understand his thought process and can read it in agreement. Whilst saying this, in Brooke s case, it may just be ignorance and he could quite easily be excused due to the fact

My generation consists of anyone born from 1995 2005, and there is no shortage of criticism from the older population on our faults and life choices. Every move forward my generationseems to make is met with a huge wave of resistance coming from the rest of the citizens in America. This is where if the older generations were willing to give our unconventional ways just a second of attention they may be surprised and learn a thing or two from us growing up in this era. Some of the main things I believe they could benefit from learning from us is the fact that technology is not going anywhere and they should learn to love it as it continues to advance. They should not measure their life success based on money but instead of happiness and how complete they feel within themselves. No one should get too busy with work or stressed over living that they forget it is fine to relax and have fun every now and then. Another big lesson is they could learn to be more open minded and accepting of everyone around them, including everyone in the LGBTQ+ community as well as people of different races. My generation is also a lot more cynical than the older population which usually comes with a negative connotation but I believe you

Examples Of Color Symbolism In The Great Gatsby Michael Piniella English 1011 Professor Brosh 23, September 2017 Color Symbolism in The Great Gatsby Symbolism is arguable one of the most important literary devices in all of literature. Not only is it used to help explain key plot points in a story, but it is also used to highlight certain aspects in a story you might not have noticed originally. In the novel The Great Gatsby, the author F. Scott Fitzgerald uses symbolism through color to express mood, different characters, and a variety of themes though the story. Colors like white, yellow, and blue each have their own meanings to be explored by not only the readers of the paper, but the readers of the book. The color white traditionally is a symbol of purity in most cultures around the world. Women dress in white during a wedding ceremony because of this color symbolism. However in The Great Gatsby the symbol white appears to have a similar meaning, but the color s true implications are not what it seems. In the article Color Symbolism in The Great Gatsby , the author Daniel J. The point Schneider makes is that Daisy is not as innocent as she seems. The color white truly

Childhood attachment theories draw their theses and components from cognitive, behavioral, and psychoanalytic branches of psychology; in the form that attachments deals with what a child is thinking, doing, and the analyses of these attachments in later life (Weiten, 2005). Attachment refers to the close, emotional bonds of affection that develop between infants and their caregivers. (Weiten, 2005) The age that attachments start forming is usually between 6 to 9 months, depending on the child; prior to this, a child can be handed off to babysitters with little protest, but after attachments begin forming children may develop separation anxiety (Weiten, 2005, Wicks Nelson Israel, 2009). There are three to four different types of attachments. The first is a secure attachment, or healthy attachment, in which securely attached infants, when distressed by caregiver separation, seek contact with her upon her return, react positively, and use the caregiver as a secure base from which they venture forth to explore the environment. (Wicks Nelson Israel, 2009) An anxious ambivalent child is anxious when their caregiver leaves, but is not particularly happy when she returns, and they may or may not use their caregiver as a base to explore their surroundings, they may just cling to her to entire time (Weiten, 2005). The hyper masculine images portrayed by celebrities such as, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Mark Wahlberg, and Gerard Butler have lead to men s quest for unrealistic physiques. Other characteristics such as, height, masculinity, and assertiveness are also characteristics of the ideal

  • 47. The Southern Stereotype Essay Long Live Southern Stereotypes Ever since Scarlett O Hara struggled to find love and Andy Taylor was elected Mayberry s Sheriff, filmmakers and television producers have yet to lose any fondness for stereotyping the southern culture. There are many who despise any form of labeling or stereotyping within the media, fearing false characterizations or inaccurate portrayals of southern customs, traditions, and people. Exposure to southern stereotypes through media is an appealing element in the American lifestyle that can render endearing impressions, contribute genuine metaphors, and provide viewers with a unique and fascinating (whether positive or negative) glimpse toward a regional culture. The mass media, or media at large, would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These are pointed descriptions, but they are true and the American culture loves (and loves to hate) the southern stereotype and it is here to stay. Now what about those who may have that southern stereotypical drawl? Southern accents do not make one stupid; being stupid does. Southerners should be proud of the southern accent. However, the media has managed to cause dismay among many southerners who possess the engaging and attractive drawl. Should a visitor traveling to North Dakota, view a Fargo native as stupid or ignorant because of the distinct accent heard there? Should a North Dakota resident ridicule a person from the Bronx because of the peculiar accent heard there? Somehow people are ashamed of their unique speech patterns rather than being proud of a colloquial accent. The southern stereotype will be here for a long time to come, so love it and embrace it. According to Jack G. Shaheen in his essay titled, The Media s Image of Arabs, Hollywood producers must have instant kits that contain sunglasses, Arab clothing, tents, and mosques in order to provide a snapshot of Hollywood s stereotypical Arab (99). Undoubtedly, the same holds true when depicting the typical southern example. Whether one
  • 48. Donald Finkel s The Great Wave Off Kanagawa The Great Wave: Hokusai by Donald Finkel is a poem written about The Great Wave Off Kanagawa , an artwork produced from 1831 to 1833 by Katsushika Hokusai during the Edo period. The The Great Wave Off Kanagawa is just one of The Thirty six Views of Mt. Fuji . This woodblock print portrays a tremendous tsunami overpowering small man powered boats, along with Mount Fujiin the background. The compelling contrast between the turbulent waves and light colored sky draws the viewer s eyes to the central figure of Mount Fuji, which was considered a sacred symbol of beauty and immortality. In order for Finkel to develop a connection with Hokusais work of art, he finds common ground between the world of the artist and the observer. Donald Finkel s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Donald Finkel, describing his own speculations help the observer understand his interpretation of the artwork. In light of this, he shares the correlation between the different parts of nature and color in the first stanza by drawing attention to how the sea is blue (1). By starting his poem with this reason, repeated twice with other elements of the painting, it conjures the imagery of a chain reaction within creation. The land, sea, and people are linked as one a commentary on the inclusiveness of nature. In addition to the color blue, a connection is created with the use of similes between the color of the men s white faces , which was like the snow on Fuji...and the crest of the wave (3). It is not by mere coincidence that the three main objects in Hokusai s work are alike in color. Once again, land, sea, and humanity are linked in a triangle, providing balance. Finally, a yellow neutral tone envelops the people, an earthcolored sky that is also the color of their boats (8, 4 5). Finkel, and the woodblock, are saying that nature is not the tool of humans, but rather that humans are just one part of a larger world that, as the wave shows, can just as easily overwhelm
  • 49. Ignorance Vs Ignorance Often innocence is paired with ignorance, but there should be a divisible line between the two. Lacking knowledge on subjects that are erotic, inappropriate or unfavorable makes one innocent. It does not make them ignorant because they are still aware but choose not to speak on them. Ignorance can be the lack of knowledge on those matters as well, but has chosen to speak on them anyway. This is pernicious because it can strip innocence away. Innocence does not equal ignorance and being sheltered from the corruptions of society does not make one less aware of the world around them. People corrupted by experience portray ignorance if they are still oblivious to their surroundings. An ignorant person will continue to speak on matters they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ignorance is the action of willfully ignoring veracity. If innocence can be learned, then ignorance could be taught. In that case the teacher is gradually eradicating the once innocent of their innocence. One might say that innocence is also the result of and held within the imagination. Considering that innocence can be learned, does that mean it can be regained? A young child is oblivious to the corruption of the world. An older child is aware of it, but still maintains their innocence by keeping themselves protected from potential harm. As an adult, it is proven difficult to keep innocence. Adults need to take responsibility and initiative. Doing so heightens the probability that they are more greatly affected by the demoralization of the world. As Tim Lott shares his experience on this pondering question he expresses an almost buoyant outlook on the answer. Lott states that innocence is the growth of self consciousness , to become more aware of oneself. He also mentions that you cannot fully reclaim innocence in its initial form. As one gets older, they can forget what the world has taught them. Lott uses a quote from Shakespeare that interestingly puts the recovery of one s innocence into a new perspective. He quotes Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion. this can be compared to alzheimer s. It is safe to say that one suffering from this disease unlearns most, if not all, of their experiences

Some fungi have good potential of their use as bionematicides to control nema todal pests of vegetables, fruit and cereal crops. Some bacterial and fungal products are also use to control disease of roots and shoots of plants. Baculovirus family of insect pathogens are reliable vehicles for carrying genes into insect cells. Recombinant baculovirus vectors are being developed for geneexpression and protein production in both insect cellcultures and living larvae. Therapeutic agents, vaccines, reagents, and pesticides are some of the products that can be made by this unusual method (Knight, 1991). High production levels of biologically active products can be achieved in this way. Under the control of strong baculovirus derived promoter sequence, productivity in insect system can exceed that in mammalian systems by thousands of times (Miyajima... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Baculovirus normally contain gene called egt that blocks molting in the insect host, giving it more time to eat. Deleting the egt gene from baculovirus significantly reduce insect feeding damage. Adding genes for exogenous toxin also enhances baculovirus effectiveness. Splicing the genes that encode the paralytic insect toxin produced by predatory mites into baculovirus can kill infected insect in as little as 2 days (knight, 1991), or the gene for an insect selective scorpion toxin can be added to a B.mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV) vector. B.mori larvae infected with this recombinant virus stop feeding 40 hours after the infection, instead of the usual 96%. For crop pest, the same scorpion toxin has been added to an AcNPV vector, decreasing the average time to kill Heliothis virescens larvae from 125 hours to 88 hours (Knight,

Cindy is trying to prevent the eight term incumbent, Jesse Jones, from getting another term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Cindy decided to run against Jesse because he wrote 150 bad checks in the House banking scandal, voted to not disclose the names of the people involved in the scandal, and voted to give himself a substantial pay raise at taxpayers expense. Furthermore, Jesse seems unconcerned with the debt crisis and has been criticized by the national press for funding questionable projects in his district at the expense of more worthy projects elsewhere in the nation. Moreover, Jesse ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jack is the president of the student body of the local college. He has been politically active for the past three years, and two years ago he worked on a U.S. Senator s reelection campaign. Everyone on the advertising staff was enthusiastic and energetic after Cindy s success in the primary, but this enthusiasm has dampened considerably with the post debate poll results and with Jesse Jones relentless attacks on Cindy s character. Everyone has said the election is slipping away, and Megan and Jack have threatened to quit and go back to school unless Cindy does something to turn the situation around. The cohesiveness of the group and your relationships with Megan, Nancy, and Jack are currently at an all time low. The campaign manager, Jenny O Connor, called you into her office today. Apparently an anonymous tipster told someone on the campaign staff that Jesse Jones was having an affair and had fathered a child out of wedlock. Someone on the staff followed up on the tip and has uncovered evidence lending support to this allegation. Jenny believes a negative ad depicting Jesse Jones as a corrupt father and politician would be enough to get Cindy elected. Although Cindy has publicly stated she will not run negative ads in her campaign, Jenny has asked you to take a day to think about running one on Jesse Jones. Jenny has
