3 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Sustainable development is at the heart of the National Planning Policy Framework of 2012, and is
defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to
meet their own needs. Sustainable development includes three key pillars social, environmental and
economic, however in reality these issues often overlap and do not fit directly into one category
(Hopwood, Mellor and O Brien, 2005).
To ensure the concept of sustainable development is integrated into development plans, a
Sustainability Appraisal (SA) shall be conducted which requires that economic, environmental and
social matters are taken into account (Adur District Council, 2011). This integration will ensure that
future development meets the needs of local people whilst ensuring a healthy economy and

4 STUDY AREA
The site area is located between Hillingdon Borough and neighbouring Ealing Borough. Hillingdon,
covers roughly 42 square miles, and is made up of 22 wards with a population of 273,936 (Census,
2011). Ealing, covers roughly 55 square miles, and includes 23 wards with a total population of

The preface by William Lloyd Garrison describes the encounter between Frederick Douglass and
Garrison, at an anti slavery convention. It tells about how this encounter led to a long partnership
between the two as well as Douglass involvement in the Anti Slavery Society. At the convention the
people noticed his appearance as well as his intellectual side. The crowd seemed to respond well to the
idea of protecting Douglass against his owners. In the convent Garrison says Douglass testimony
made the audience question their ideas about black being inferior. Garrison then goes on to talk about
how any inferior ideas about a race are the cause of slavery. He describes the events where a
shipwrecked whites where held as slaves by blacks in Africa because they were seen as inferior. He
then goes on to point of that many slaves have endured a much harsher life then Douglass, and he

The smartphone industry is a very up and coming place. In the US, more than 77% of adults own a
smartphone (Smith). There are many different kinds of smartphones. They can vary in shape, size,
color, and brand. Two of the largest brands of smartphone are Samsung and Apple. They make two of
the hottest phones on the market right now. Just recently Samsung made the Galaxy S8, and Apple
came out with the iPhone 8. Both phones are reported to be top of the line. Both being high end
devices have many similarities, but they also have differences that set them far apart from each other.
Let s start off with one big difference between these two phones, the camera. We re again treated to a
solitary 12 megapixel f/1.8 rear snapper... The Galaxy S8 comes with a 12 megapixel Dual Pixel rear

Ms Trunchball Analysis
The film Matilda by Danny DeVito was released in 1996. Ms Trunchball is depicted as an evil and
malicious character. This is shown through her appearance, personality and language lighting effects

used are low angles, as these types of shots make a subject appear larger, bigger, powerful strong and

GABA binding more efficacious.
Activation of the benzodiazepine GABA chloride ionophor complex is responsible for producing the

The welcome arch spanned the two lanes and looked sturdy enough to drive a tank across. The rest of
