In The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, there are many important themes, including recognizing the

In my paper I will try and explain the reason of why I would make the call to launch the
Challenger in 1986. As we all know we had a horrific accident when the Challenger was launched

My five page paper is on a famous baseball star named Roberto Clemente. As he was very talented,
he also cared and loved for everyone. He would help those in need and enjoy it too. All around
Roberto Clemente was a wonderful man. In these next five pages I will be talking about his life

Roberto Clemente was born in the summer in August 18, 1934. He was born in a house of
concrete and wood on an old country road in Barrio San Anton, Carolina, Puerto Rico. He was the
youngest of seven children. His father was a foreman overseeing sugar cane cutters and helped
deliver sand and gravel for a construction company. His mother did laundry, ran a grocery store
and did other jobs on the sugar cane plantation. Roberto did odd jobs so he could help the family
and buy himself a bicycle. Growing up, Roberto played baseball and participated in track and
field. He won medals for the javelin throw and short distance races. Throwing the javelin
strengthened his arm for throwing a baseball. Roberto was a very athletic boy.

and unloading trucks because his family was poor. He was very interested in baseball ever since

Advantages Of Homeschooling
Every year, there is a gradual intake of debates on whether homeschooling is more effective than
public schooling. Since 2003, there has been a steady increase of 36% of students being
homeschooled in the United States, and a statistic of 1.5 million students being homeschooled in
2007 (Bergstrom 5). As more and more students are being homeschooled, it is beginning to become
a more effective way of learning and lifestyle than going to public school. Despite the disadvantages
people accuse about homeschooling, it can actually improve the life of students by giving them a
better advantage to a social life, reducing the risk of being involved in alcohol or drug use,
developing a higher standard of maturity and morals that students of public schooling do not have,
and having more success in schoolwork and learning.
Throughout a child s life of public schooling, they have a vast variety of social interactions with
other students and their teachers, but despite what many peers believe about the interactions in
homeschooling, they too have the same and even more as those in public schooling. According to
Koehler, studies have shown that the, homeschooled population demonstrated above average of
overall social skills, (Koehler 4). Because homeschoolers do not get the same advantages as public
schooling, they gain a wide variety of socialization throughout experiences offered at church groups,

Time was not an issue to this woman; we would spend three days on one problem so that
everyone would understand it. She really took her time. She did not want us to learn the stuff
then forget it the next day. Most teachers are just worried about people passing their class. Mrs.
Young wanted the best for us. Not only was she a good person, but she had a way of getting
information down to our level where we could understand it. If it were not for her, I might be in
