The Cosmological Aargument
The Cosmological Argument
The Cosmological argument infers that the existence of the universe is due to the existence of God.
Plato bought about one of the oldest arguments between 428 327 BCE. Plato believed that there is a
self moving principle from which all change and motion originated. This principle is the core which is
responsible for the world. Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century developed Plato s views; however this
development was with a theistic principle. The first three of the five ways produced was about the
cosmological argument. Aquinas believed in the god of classical theism. The cosmological argument
is a probability argument because it s an a posteriori argument which takes its principles from an
observation of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This means we would never reach today. Time began when the universe began. Events are caused. The
beginning of the universe was an event. Therefore there must have been a cause, this first cause was
God.
William Lane Craig another 20th century philosopher till present argued that the universe cannot be
infinite, because you cannot add to an actual infinite amount. Since the universe is finite =, it must
have a beginning. Whatever exists must have a cause. Therefore the universe has a cause to its
existence. If the world had a beginning it either came naturally or through personal choice. The laws
of nature only existed when the world did. There were no natural causes to bring the world about.
Therefore it cannot be that the world came due to random forces of nature. There must have been
some personal agency involved. This personal agency must have existed outside of space and time.
Therefore this personal agency is a translucent being; the cause of the universe must be a personal
being who freely chooses to create the world.
Leibniz explained the cosmological argument in terms of the principle of sufficient reason, the
principle of sufficient reason states that nothing is without ground or reason. If the universe had
always been in existence, it would need an explanation. It is necessary to decide why there is
something rather than nothing. Going backwards in time forever will not give a complete explanation.

Managing Diversity in the Workplace
Intent vs. Perception. Antoinette Mayer worked for DigiSys, a multimillion dollar technology
company where many of the company s senior managers were retired military officers. Jay Strong, her
boss, became very friendly in an awkward way with Mayer one day where his conversation moved
from business topics to more personal conversation. As time progressed, he got warmer towards
Mayer; seemed to encounter her more in the company cafeteria and requested more of her time under
the pretense of gathering updates. After many encounters like this, she decided to do something about
it so she went to the Human Resources vice president for assistance. He told her that he didn t think
she had much of a case. The company was full of military ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How are the Majority of Celebrities Inappropriate Role...
People look up to celebrities as role models, the youth especially. The youth believes that if they
imitate these cynosures they will become affluent and legendary. Famous people imply that if the
youth act insubordinately they will be successful in life. Celebrities of today are not appropriate role
models for this generation.
A celebrity is a famous or well known person, someone who has fame or is renowned
(dictionary.com). When people think of a celebrity they think of someone they would see on
television, in magazines, or here about on the radio; those are the celebrities I am referring to here, but
those aren t the only celebrities out there. There are also other interpretations for the word celebrity.
My favorite alternative to the typical thought of a celebrity is the term local celebrity. A local celebrity
or hometown celebrity doesn t have to be rich or world famous, they are known for doing something
that has either impacted the local area or has made his/her hometown proud. My focus is on the
quintessential definition of celebrity, the ones that are known for their influence on the current
generation, my generation.
The current generation is easily influenced because it is completely focused on being accepted by
society and trying to find ones individual identity. The youth of my generation believe that their
identity is based on society s acceptance; not on their own thoughts, desires, and opinions of
themselves. Most celebrities preach about individuality to

Examples Of Direct Characterization In Beowulf
The epic poem Beowulf , written by an anonymous author, focuses around the heroic protagonist
Beowulf. Beowulf travels to the Danes to cease the attacks, of the monster Grendel. Despite being a
major character only in the beginning of the poem, Grendel is greatly characterized as the antagonist
of the story. Authors typically utilize direct and indirect characterization, to describe such characters
of the story. Indirect characterization is characterization through thoughts, actions, and reactions.
Direct characterization is when the author uses exact descriptions to describe the character. The
anonymous author of Beowulf, develops the monstrous character of Grendel by using direct and
indirect characterization. The poem Beowulf develops

The trenches around the city have always been a dangerous place. It is what encircles the insane

Insanity killing machines. Inside they stacked up too many land mines to count, and if I named

I saw no one. Not a living person was near the cliff. No one could see me if I just walked through the
barrier undetected. My gut told me to go back, and get my friends, that I shouldn t go through the
barbed wire gates without someone by my side. But my head was stronger, and I carelessly walked in.
Behind the barbed wire gates was an area in the city I d never seen or remembered the last time I lived
there. It looked like one of those military sectors mixed with a secret science lab. The place was
enclosed in gates all around. Most of the land was filled with white warehouses and small buildings.
What is this place? What is this place? What is this place? Don t trust this place. This place is
dangerous. Stop walking. Stop being annoying and leave. They are after you. My mind kept racing
like a shooting star that could never disappear. I didn t listen to my mind still. It wasn t right for my

Symbolism In The Black Cat
In the short tale The Black Cat, Edgar Allen Poe expresses his hate and love for cats. With twisting
words and mystical views, the tale takes place in the 1840 s. Within this classic American Literature
Gothic tale, symbolism is depicted throughout with many plot twists the story is told. While The Black
Cat was written to achieve an effect of shocking insanity in this time period it did just that. In this first
person narrative the narrator tells of the readers of his decline from sanity and madness, all because of
an obsession with two or maybe one black cat. This short story easily achieved the effect and use of
symbolism. In this tale the use of symbolizes are represented by the setting, the cat or cats, the house
and his wife, all of which are a great representation of Edgar Allen Poe s imaginary and life. In the tale
the setting was a sign of symbolism. Poe represented this in the plot development with a diverse word
choice, and detailed character development. In most cases, the setting is usually indelible to a story,
but The Black Cat relies little on this element. Poe used detailed character development so the reader
begins to empathize with the characters. With just enough character information given out at the time
of the horrific event the reader will feel connected. This tale could have occurred anywhere and can be
placed in any era. This makes the setting the weakest element of The Black Cat. Poe does not say a
certain location of where it takes place leaving the reader to wonder. The most obvious of symbolic
references in this story is the first and the second cat that arrives in the tale and the name chosen,
Pluto. Pluto leads his owner down the path toward insanity and loss of reason (Lombardi, Esther). As
Poe states in the following quote Pluto is his best friend, why would he have killed them? Pluto this
was the cat s name was my favorite pet and playmate. I alone fed him, and he attended me wherever I
went about the house. It was even with difficulty that I could prevent him from following me through
the streets (Edgar Allen Poe). Could the man in the tale have been a drunken fool, or suffered for a
psychotic illness. If you love an animal that much a normal human surly wouldn t

Holding Out For a Hero
I was really super excited for this trip, words can t explain. I was planning on coming to Cali soon, but
I had to raise money. This trip is all free. I get to go to San Diego, California. Wow. I had just finished
zipping my suitcase when I heard the car horn. The Jacks are here! I smiled widely already getting
butterflies about everything and ran down with my stuff. It was a struggle, but never stop an ambitious
girl who is about to fly to San Diego. I opened my front door and motioned for one of them to get out
of the car and come help with my bags. I only had one suitcase but it was heavy. I grabbed my carry
on and jogged to the car as Johnson grabbed my suitcase. I made sure that my phone and laptop were
fully charged once we were on our way. I reached into my bag and looked for my books making sure I
had brought them. What else am I supposed to do on the plane?
San Diego is going to be sweet! We re meeting the guys up at the beach after we get there, Johnson
exclaimed and pumped his fist. I giggled at his personality and nodded. I ve always wanted to go to
the beach.
I m so excited guys, you have no idea! I shook my hands, a little habit I do since I was little. My mom
used to tell me to shake off all the nerves, so I d shake my hands, I m so excited for the beach. The

Becoming an Individual in Rewriting the Soul by Ian...
In a planet consisting of over six billion humans, finding individuality in oneself becomes an arduous
task. There exists in man the desire to be recognized by others as an individual with specifically
positive qualities. Therefore, based on the labels assigned to him, he creates his desired persona. This
concept is exemplified in Rewriting the Soul by Ian Hacking through his theory of the looping effect,
which portrays a cycle of mutual changes based on the influence of classifications and those
classified. Humans are given labels and thus act appropriately to either maintain the favorable labels
or diminish those which appear negative. This creates a fabrication based on the influence of others
rather than a true self. The mimicry of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Hacking dives into the history of multiple personality disorder he brings up a certain concept to
justify the transition from the 19th century version of the disorder to modern day s picture. This
concept he names the looping effect of human kinds (21), which is explained with the MPD example
being that the doctors vision was different because the patients were different; but the patients were
different because the doctors expectations were different (21). The doctors influence the patients only
to be later influenced in return by the patients thus there will never be a concrete definition of MPD
nor will there be a fixed prototype of the disorder as both are being constantly mutually altered.
Consequently, a diagnosed MPD possessor will never truly know whether or not they have the
disorder since MPD has no locked definition. In like manner, the looping effect affects all persons as
their identities are continually being modified from external influences whether they chose to be or
not. In the case of consciously changing themselves, people are specifically labeled and are assigned
certain qualities of which they either view as pleasant or insulting. As a result, these people choose to
modify themselves in the attempt of creating a new self that embodies the favored qualities and
eliminates the unattractive qualities. This new self is nothing more than a mimic of surrounding
influences, which present

ABSTRACT
In April 2013, Kassatly Chtaura, a family owned company of both alcoholic and non alcoholic

show dim growth performance, and the family is unsatisfied about sales of its syrups, juices, ready to

Undoubtedly, one of the advantages that Kassatly Chtaura has, is how they shape their strategy,
implement new drinks according to market trends and its innovative position in alcoholic and non
alcoholic beverages. They have been receiving much recognition for the ingredients that are used in its
production. The same laws have specified restrictions on alcohol and energy drinks, and that s where
Kassatly Chtaura could find the right time to launch its various products in Lebanon and in turn be
related to Saudi Arabia, which provides an advantage to position itself in the group GCC in the Middle
East. However, the tension is handled in the country of Lebanon and in the closest countries. Is a rapid
change that may arise from the overnight, so achieving manufacturing in another country where it is
not fully understood the culture, the rules and laws governing, is a risk that can be significant in the
formation of an expansion in Saudi Arabia or in Africa as an emerging market that is growing
nowadays.
Kassatly Chtaura is a company that has taken advantage of the situation, resources and the regions
where they can make some investment to prop up the finances and not fall into a low development of
innovation in the products they handle. Implementation of vodka, energy drinks and even some
alignment with the wines have kept the name Kassatly Chtaura outside the Lebanese community, and
internationally, they have achieved some recognition.

Afternoons by Philip Larkin Essays
Afternoons by Philip Larkin.
A poem which reflects on the subject of marriage is Afternoons by
Philip Larkin. The poem deals with Larkin s view on young mothers watching their kids playing in a
playground and on this he concludes that marrying young and having children young, lead to the
mothers losing their identity and destiny. The techniques used by the poet such as theme, imagery and
tone deepened my understanding of the issue. The structure of the poem is simple; there are three
stanzas with eight lines in each. However, unlike every other poem by Larkin this layout has no direct
meaning. The lines are unrhymed. The first stanza deals with Larkin s rather cynical view of marriage
and deals with the idea that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By using the idea of wind in the poem, Larkin is able to add his own personal views. The wind acts as
an idea of change. This is continued moreover in the third stanza via the use of enjambement. This
enables
Larkin to carry on and develop his point.
Larkin s use of imagery is very effective. The courting places which were once used by the young
mothers are changing but so are their children. The courting places are still being used, however, the
people of whom should be using them now have the burden of children and can no longer have the fun
this place entails. The unripe acorns as described by Larkin, are the children who are still in school .
This implies Larkin, as an outsider observing and looking in, believes that as generations pass
romance is lost further and that people have children far to young. The children within the school are
not mature enough to realise what courting means. A grim humour is assumed when the reader realises
these children still have a future wereas the young mothers do not.The tone of the poem has become
increasingly more cynical. Larkin refers to how regimented the mothers lives are again when they are
expected to pick up their children from school. The women have changed immensely with the
pressures and responsibilities that the child has brought, they are putting on weight and losing their
looks, probably due to having the children. Their beauty has thickened .

Dietary Supplements Can Damage the Liver
Many people use dietary supplements to boost their health and prevent disease. It is reported that up to
40% of adults use at least one over the counter dietary supplement daily and most of these people do
not ask or inform their doctors about taking these supplements. Herbal and nonherbal health
supplements are popular because some people believe it is easier to take these than to buy and prepare
healthy meals, especially when they are busy with work or if quality foods are not easily available. To
others, taking specific food supplements is a means to increase immunity to certain diseases, support
bodybuilding, or achieve weight loss. Some health care providers recommend taking dietary
supplements to replace nutritional deficiencies but most experts advise consuming a healthy, balance
diet that provides most of the nutrients one needs to maintain health. Supplements that can Damage
the Liver Studies show that certain dietary supplements, especially vitamins, minerals and
antioxidants have many health benefits, which includes prevention of cancer, heart disease, and
diabetes. However, experts warn that some herbal and dietary supplements have side effects,
especially when taken in large doses or if they are taken for long periods. Research shows that almost
20% of all liver injuries recorded from 2003 2011 are associated with chronic intake of certain herbal
and dietary supplements. The worst offenders are bodybuilding supplements, which was linked to

Chapter I
Statement of Purpose The author has had a lifetime of experience with athletics in multiple sports as
an athlete, as a coach, and now as an athletic director at a high school. As an athlete that was highly
competitive, his mindset was to always work hard and do whatever it took to win. About a year after
all of his college eligibility has been completed his good friend took a job at a high school in San
Bernardino as a water polo coach and asked him to come out to the pool to teach his boys a few
things. The author took on an assistant coaching position from that point on for the next 6 years
because he loved teaching the athletes what it was to not only be a competitor but to be a competitor
the right way, through hard work and respecting the game. He eventually took over the program and
progressed from a coach who wanted to desperately win to a coach that wanted his kids to be
successful at everything they attempted to do above all else. That mindset has spilled over into his job
as an athletic administrator at a new high school. Leadership positions, whether they are as an
educator, head coach, or an athletic director, they all come with a lot of responsibility. There is a
tremendous amount of responsibility placed on a coach or athletic administrator. Not including the

Affirmative Action Plan
To understand the reasoning or drive behind an organization implementing a voluntary affirmative
action plan it is important to understand what such a plan might entail. An affirmative action plan is
different than the basic Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and guidelines. EEO laws are
designed to ensure that employers do not use race, gender, or religion when viewing a person s job
qualifications or performance (Bernardin Russell, 2013). Affirmative action plans work a step further
to establish practices and procedures that aim to recruit and promote diversity and inclusion of
individuals traditionally under represented or historically viewed as disadvantaged groups
(Affirmative Action and Diversity: Partners and Protagonists, 2007).

The Three Senses Of Sharks
Most predator sharks are long and round. Every shark is shaped for the type of water they live in.
Angelsharks are flat so they can hide on the sea floor.
Horn sharks have sharp spines on their backs
Megamouths have huge soft blubbery lips.
Hammerhead sharks (as said in their name) have a head shaped like a hammer, which makes them
look like a swimming T.
Sawsharks have long pointy, sharp snouts.
Large sharks, like the whale shark or the Basking shark, are as big as a bus.
Some very tiny sharks such as the pygmy shark or the Colombian lantern shark can fit on top of your
hand.
Goblin sharks has a very strange long snout like a long horn, it is said that these goblin sharks have
lived since the dinosaur age; people have found fossils of a shark similar to the goblin shark that had
lived about 125 million years ago.

many senses that us humans do such as taste and smell, but it has special three senses that we do not

last 10 20 years, and play an important role in how the shark behaves when swimming around. The six

devoted to smell.
Sharks can distinguish one drop of blood in a million drops of water, 1/4th of a mile away. Water
constantly flows through their nostrils, giving them olfactory information. Sharks have colour vision
and see well in dark light. It is said that sharks use the ampullae of Lorenzini as a directing device to

CLABSI are the third leading cause of hospital acquired infection (HAI). Central line associated
infections are life threatening and is a common risk factor associated with central venous catheters
(CVC). Peripherally inserted central catheters are a common type of CVC used. Research is conducted

groups were assigned to group A, for CHG PICC or B, non CHG PICC. Insertion of all PICC lines
was completed by the PICC insertion team. CDC guidelines were used to diagnose CLABSI with
VTE diagnosis based upon assessment and diagnostic testing. Data Analysis In this study, 167
participants completed the study. The groups were divided into 80 randomized that received PICC

The Effects Of ImmigrantsAgquisition Of English As A...
Sociologists typically assume that immigrants acquisition of English as a second language follows the
opportunities and motivations to become proficient in English, while many linguists argue that second
language acquisition may be governed by maturational constraints, possibly biologically based, that
are tied to the age at onset of language learning. In this article, I use U.S. census data to investigate the
relationship between age at onset of second language learning and levels of English language
proficiency among foreign born adults in the United States. The overarching conclusion is that
proficiency in a second language among adults is strongly related to age at immigration. Part of that
relationship is attributable to social and demo graphic considerations tied to age at entry into a new
country, and part may be attributable to maturational constraints.( Age at immigration acquisition of
language, English as second language, second language proficiency)* When investigating second
language (L2) acquisition among immigrants, sociologists and economists often rely on exposure or
human capital frame works, in which L2 learning is prompted by opportunities and motivations to
become proficient in English. Much of this research shows that social and demo graphic factors, such
as length of residence in the U.S. and educational attainment, strongly predict levels of proficiency in
English among foreign born adults. Linguists, by contrast, start from the premise that

How The Current Copyright Laws Are Not Be Reformed For...
Due to how abusable current copyright laws are, they must be reformed to prevent copyright trolling.
According to Matthew Sag, The essence of trolling is that the plaintiff is more focused on the business
of litigation than on selling a product or service or licensing their IP to third parties to sell a product or
a service ( Copyright Trolling, An Empirical Study page 4). Copyright trolls seek to acquire their
income from suing others on copyright violations, rather than continually creating new works and
using copyright to protect them. Copyright, whether one agrees with the concept or not, was not
designed for this purpose. People should not be allowed to make a business off of suing others. This is
not only unjust, but wastes the court s time with actual crimes. The United States must reform its
current laws to prevent this type of behavior from happening. According to Parker Higgins, Like email
spammers, copyright trolls depend on the ability to cheaply cast a very wide net, sending out hundreds
or thousands of accusations at once and getting settlement payments back from some percentage (
Copyright trolls suffer big loss par. 3). Many trolls do not target specific groups or people; rather, they
spread it in such a way that any company or organization can accidentally misuse it. This creates an
environment in which it is impossible for many groups to tell if they can use another party s content
without invoking a ludicrous copyright lawsuit. This is not a

Airport Environmental Impact And Legislation
Airport Environmental Impact and Legislation
Overview
Airports impact their local communities in a wide variety of ways. As an employer, large, international
airports can help local economies thrive financially with employment opportunities for area residents.
Even smaller municipal airports give back to the local community in the form of tax revenue from fuel
sales, airplane property taxes, and in the case of land lease arrangements, hangar property taxes.
Further, airports can (and typically do) impact the environment around them. Airport operators are
mandated by federal and state guidelines on areas such as erosion mitigation, pollution prevention,
and to fuel spill prevention, and are bound even further to protect the local ecology and reduce the
impact on wildlife, flora, and endangered species (Horonjeff, 2010). Airports must be prepared to
respond to any potential environmental disaster. This is accomplished through action plans developed
at the state and local levels, such as a Stormwater Pollution Prevention and Spill Prevention, Control
and Countermeasures Plans.
Environmental Impact
There are significant rules and regulations placed on airports that deal with the environment. One
widely referred to document is Federal Aviation Administration Order 5050.4B, National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Implementing Instructions for Airport Projects (DOT, 2006).
Procedures contained within this instruction are mandatory, and airport operators are legally

The First Phase Of The Second World War
Throughout the first phase of the Second World War in Europe, Germany sought to avoid a long war.
Its strategy was to win a decisive victory over their opponents with a series of short campaigns.
Germany quickly took control of most of Europe and was victorious for more than two years with the
Blitzkrieg (lightning war). This new military tactics required the concentration of a powerful set of
offensive forces (tanks, aircrafts and artillery) on a narrow front. By practicing a breach in the enemy
defenses, these forces allowed the armored divisions to quickly penetrate and maneuver freely behind
enemy lines, disrupting their defenses. The German Air Force prevented the enemy to resupply, to
redeploy its forces efficiently and to send reinforcements to close the breaches that occurred in his
front. The German forces were thus able to encircle the enemy and force him to surrender. In June
1941, the German forces invaded the Soviet Union. The blitzkrieg seemed at first to be a success.
Soviet forces retreated over 900 km to the gates of Moscow, suffering huge losses. However, it was on
the Soviet territory that the blitzkrieg showed its limits. In this context, the amelioration of the allied
forces readiness after the two first years of the war, and the vulnerability of the blitzkrieg to logistics
and qualified manpower, reduced greatly its success after 1941. The adaptation of new defensive
tactics by the allies has greatly contributed to the failure of the blitzkrieg.

Two of the most significant contributions from ancient Greece are science and

Let the Right One in Analysis Essay
BONDING THROUGH EXILE:
An Analysis of Mise en Scène in Let the Right One In
The theme of loneliness and isolation has been predominant in cinema since its inception, but Tomas
Alfredson explores the idea in a unique way in his 2008 Swedish romantic horror film, Let the Right
One In. Set in the snowy winter of Stockholm, the film depicts the similarly cold and depressing life
of Oskar, a young target of bullying. This frozen, barren setting contributes to the complete isolation
that the viewer feels with the characters. Through strategic shot composition and specific color and
mood choices, Alfredson shows how both Oskar and Eli are cut off from the world in different ways,
and then how their common bloodlust brings them together. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The camera slowly pans around the playground, showing the bland walls of the apartment complex
surrounding it to amplify their sense of overwhelming loneliness. Oskar, wanting to find a companion
in Eli, provides her with his rubik s cube to solve. The rubik s cube can also be seen as Eli providing
an answer to Oskar s problems. Both his life and his rubik s cube are puzzles that need solving, and
Eli literally drops in to solve everything for him. This early scene sets the tone for the rest of the
movie and establishes both the characters as lonely outcasts that need to be saved.
As the relationship between Oskar and Eli continues to blossom, Oskar finds out that Eli lives off
blood to survive. After this realization, there is a scene where Eli arrives at Oskar s house. Oskar
attempts to let her in by motioning and gesturing but she refuses to cross the threshold. She finally
enters without his permission, causing her to bleed from every opening on her face, turning her into a
grotesque image of her true vampiric form. This causes Oskar to give her permission to enter. This
scene symbolizes the finality of the relationship between Oskar and Eli. Eli is a violent murderer, and
Oskar has violent ambitions, and this is the moment where Eli attempts to turn those ambitions into
reality. The way the shots of Oskar and Eli are composed suggest a

There are two kinds of skepticism, local skepticism, which states that some areas of inquiry don t
allow for knowledge, and global skepticism, which states that we cannot know anything about the
world, (Bogosian). One of the most common arguments for skepticism is the Brain in a Vat argument,
which is very similar to the argument of the Evil Demon who controls us. In opposition to this is a
philosopher by the name of Hilary Putnam, who uses language as proof for us not being brains in vats.
I am going to explain to you why I think that Putnam is correct.
If you cannot be sure that you are not a brain in a vat, then you cannot rule out the possibility of all of
your beliefs about the external world being false. (Bruekner, 2004) I ... Show more content on

In his idea, someone who has never seen a tree, would not automatically call a tree by that name when
they saw it, however while we go through life we call things by their names. (Brueckner, 2004)He
states that if he were a brain in a vat, and he called something a tree it would be no more accurate than
someone who had never seen a table using the word to describe a duck. He uses the simple argument
of:
a. If I am a BIV, then my word tree does not refer to trees.
b. My word tree refers to trees. So,
c. I am not a BIV (Brueckner, 2004)
However, it is also stated that you cannot know that the image and knowledge of trees were not
programmed into the brains in vats, so they could know that the word tree means the image of a tree.
So unfortunately this, like most other Cartesian skepticism arguments, for me at least, is a hard sell. If
I had to decide on one of the two arguments to be the strongest, I would choose the argument against
the idea of brains in vats. This is mostly because I believe that there are too many emotions and
individual decisions that play out in each person s life for us to all actually be brains that are
controlled by a computer or by one person. Every single day we are making hundreds of decisions and
the responses to the same question, when presented to a variety of people vary significantly, and some
of those decisions can change spur of

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Essay
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (March 12, 1881 November 10, 1938), Turkish soldier and statesman, was the
founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey. He was born in the Ottoman city of Selânik
(now Thessaloniki in Greece), where his birthplace is the Turkish Consulate and is also preserved as a
museum. In accordance with the then prevalent Turkish custom, he was given the single name
Mustafa. His father, Ali Riza (Efendi) was a customs officer who died when Mustafa was a child, his
mother was Zübeyde (Hanim). Ataturk s Early career Mustafa studied at the military secondary school

wasteful of the lives of his troops, who died in large numbers in human wave attacks. Nevertheless he
was the first Ottoman military commander to defeat a western army in living memory, and became a
national hero, awarded the title Pasha (commander). During 1917 and 1918 Kemal Pasha was posted
to the Caucasus front fighting the Russian forces with some success, and then to the Hejaz, where the
Arab Revolt against Ottoman rule was in progress. He became increasingly critical of the incompetent
conduct of the war by the Sultan s government, and also of German domination of the Empire. He
resigned his command, but eventually agreed to return to command Ottoman forces in Palestine. In
October 1918 the Ottomans capitulated to the Allies, and Kemal became one of the leaders of the
party which favoured a policy of defending the Turkish speaking heartlands of the Empire, while
agreeing to withdraw from all the non Turkish territories. Turkish nationalist sentiment was aroused by
the Greek occupation of Izmir (Smyrna) in May 1919, in accordance with the Treaty of Sevres (this
Treaty was signed by the Sultan under Allied duress but never ratified by the Ottoman parliament.)

Roman Catholic Faith Affected My Life
There are currently more than one billion Roman Catholic citizens on the planet right now. I consider
myself immensely fortunate to be a part of such an extensive community of people that are together
because of God. Being Catholic has opened doors for me to see the world differently than if I wasn t
Catholic. My entire life would be mismatched if I wasn t Catholic. My faith affects many aspects of
my life such as my actions and decisions. The school that I go to, the friends that I have made, and
what I do on Sunday are all affected by the fact that I practice the Roman Catholic faith. Being
Catholic has had a positive influence on how I live my life and how I survey the world. Being
Catholic has made just about every part of my life different. The schools that I have gone to since first
grade have been Catholic schools. The friends that I have made are because I am Catholic, and I also
go to church almost every Sunday. The impact that my faith has had on my life is not comprehensible.
Activities like praying to God and asking him for help has just become second nature because of how
often I do it. In a single school day I participate in at least four different prayers. Some people look at

The City Of Pompeii And Pompeii
In ancient Pompeii, there were many important establishments in the Forum. It was seen as the primal
hub of the town, and due to the busy trading nature, a commercial centre for exchanging foreign goods
was a necessity. However in Herculaneum, being a quiet fishing village, the structure of the Forum
would have been very different to that of Pompeii. Most of the Italian municipalities in their time had
a Forum, a square in their town where the political, commercial, and social lives are all intertwined.
Not only did it act as a social meeting place for the residents, but it also functioned as the primary
religious and economic sector of the city. In Pompeii the Forum was a large area measuring at around
157 by 38 metres, not including all the surrounding buildings (Unfortunately in Herculaneum, the
forum is still uncovered). The Forum was lined with the most important buildings in the city. (See
figure 1) In Pompeii particularly, the forum held the Municipal offices (A), Basilica (B), Temple of
Apollo (C), Forum Olitorium (vegetable market) (C), Latrines (public toilets) (D), Temple of Jupiter
(E), Macellum (marketplace) (F), Temple of the Lares (G), Temple of Vespasian (I), Building of
Eumanchia (J), and a Comitium (voting house) (K). On the western side of the forum, there is a
pedestal, built for outspoken orators. This served as a location where people could express their views
on current situations, usually political. A typical day in the Pompeian forum consisted of

Creation And The Persistence Of Evil By Levenson
In Creation and the Persistence of Evil , Levenson asserts that God s divine omnipotence originates
from his battle with rather than banishment of evil. There are a few textual facts to consider in analysis
of this statement. In an initial class discussion, we examined the fact that God did not create evil. He
created what was and what had the potential to be good (e.g. light, man), separating it from what is
deemed as evil (e.g. darkness). For instance, he did not create the tree of knowledge of good and evil,
but instead drew boundaries. Yet this concept from Genesis conflicts with one that arises in Psalms
104:26. This verse states that God created the Leviathan, a sea monster, and later kills him in a battle (

Comparing Mesopotamia, Sumer, And Ancient Egypt
A civilization is a type of culture or social order of a specific habitation, group, or time. The first
established and most stable societies that became the origin for future empires is known as an ancient
civilization. Some of the first ancient societies known are the Mesopotamia, Sumer and Ancient
Egypt. Egyptian civilization from its roots to its deterioration was based on the Nile River and the
Sahara desert around it. The Nile River also gave a more optimistic view to Egyptian culture, as it was
seen as a never dying reward because of its regular menacing floods that brought tons of rich
sediments to replenish the banks; most of the population was based on the river banks as Egypt was
surrounded by the desert. Backman and Jones in their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, both historians agree on the myth of Osiris being reborn; and none of them believes that the
details of this myth are factual. After Osiris was killed and cut in pieces and thrown into the river Nile,
Isis found all the pieces and joined them and brought Osiris was brought back to life. After Osiris was
resurrected, he became the god of the underworld, and when people died, they would be judged by
him as to whether they could achieve afterlife or not. Osiris was revived only shortly to perform one
last sexual deed before he died again. After that, Isis became pregnant and Horus was born (Backman,
p. 31). Jones believes that Amonhotep did not start worshipping just one god as there was evidence
that he Akhenaton did mention other gods in his lifetime. Also Jones believes that Nefertiti was a very
influential and powerful queen; which Backman seems to ignore in his text. The Pharaoh and his

Monster Persuasive Speech
When I say monsters , I don t mean the ones that only come out at night and hide in the darkness, I m
talking about the monsters that reside in our minds. The monsters that we deal with on a daily basis,
and overwhelm us if we don t control them. We all have these monsters, no matter if they are huge or
minuscule, and how much they affect our lives. The monsters that I deal with are constantly driving
me towards procrastination and anxiety, and I must learn to overcome, or I will be consumed.
Procrastination, possibly the worst and most destructive monster I have. Procrastination is the reason
for most of my problems, and I can never overcome it. I live with it, and it is a part of me, so

Anxiety is my second biggest monster, partly because it is a huge side effect of procrastination. It is a
constant stress in the back of the mind that only says negative things about the future. A voice that
tells the victim, You won t get that paper done, you re going to fail. A voice that never stops and tells
the victim that they did a good job, because according to anxiety, I can only do wrong. It is anxiety
that limits the victim from doing great things because of the failures along the way, and the inability to
forget the bad, and focus only on the good. The glass is always half empty for anxiety, which means it
is almost impossible for the victim to think positively about the future. I compare anxiety to
Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone, attached to Professor Quirrell s head, constantly
whispering evil commands. Anxiety is a silent killer, and a hard one to deal with, but it is easier to
overcome than procrastination. It is my second worst monster because I can overcome anxiety in short

  • 2. The Cosmological Aargument The Cosmological Argument The Cosmological argument infers that the existence of the universe is due to the existence of God. Plato bought about one of the oldest arguments between 428 327 BCE. Plato believed that there is a self moving principle from which all change and motion originated. This principle is the core which is responsible for the world. Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century developed Plato s views; however this development was with a theistic principle. The first three of the five ways produced was about the cosmological argument. Aquinas believed in the god of classical theism. The cosmological argument is a probability argument because it s an a posteriori argument which takes its principles from an observation of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This means we would never reach today. Time began when the universe began. Events are caused. The beginning of the universe was an event. Therefore there must have been a cause, this first cause was God. William Lane Craig another 20th century philosopher till present argued that the universe cannot be infinite, because you cannot add to an actual infinite amount. Since the universe is finite =, it must have a beginning. Whatever exists must have a cause. Therefore the universe has a cause to its existence. If the world had a beginning it either came naturally or through personal choice. The laws of nature only existed when the world did. There were no natural causes to bring the world about. Therefore it cannot be that the world came due to random forces of nature. There must have been some personal agency involved. This personal agency must have existed outside of space and time. Therefore this personal agency is a translucent being; the cause of the universe must be a personal being who freely chooses to create the world. Leibniz explained the cosmological argument in terms of the principle of sufficient reason, the principle of sufficient reason states that nothing is without ground or reason. If the universe had always been in existence, it would need an explanation. It is necessary to decide why there is something rather than nothing. Going backwards in time forever will not give a complete explanation. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Managing Diversity in the Workplace Intent vs. Perception. Antoinette Mayer worked for DigiSys, a multimillion dollar technology company where many of the company s senior managers were retired military officers. Jay Strong, her boss, became very friendly in an awkward way with Mayer one day where his conversation moved from business topics to more personal conversation. As time progressed, he got warmer towards Mayer; seemed to encounter her more in the company cafeteria and requested more of her time under the pretense of gathering updates. After many encounters like this, she decided to do something about it so she went to the Human Resources vice president for assistance. He told her that he didn t think she had much of a case. • 4. How are the Majority of Celebrities Inappropriate Role... People look up to celebrities as role models, the youth especially. The youth believes that if they imitate these cynosures they will become affluent and legendary. Famous people imply that if the youth act insubordinately they will be successful in life. Celebrities of today are not appropriate role models for this generation. A celebrity is a famous or well known person, someone who has fame or is renowned (dictionary.com). When people think of a celebrity they think of someone they would see on television, in magazines, or here about on the radio; those are the celebrities I am referring to here, but those aren t the only celebrities out there. There are also other interpretations for the word celebrity. My favorite alternative to the typical thought of a celebrity is the term local celebrity. A local celebrity or hometown celebrity doesn t have to be rich or world famous, they are known for doing something that has either impacted the local area or has made his/her hometown proud. My focus is on the quintessential definition of celebrity, the ones that are known for their influence on the current generation, my generation. The current generation is easily influenced because it is completely focused on being accepted by society and trying to find ones individual identity. The youth of my generation believe that their identity is based on society s acceptance; not on their own thoughts, desires, and opinions of themselves. Most celebrities preach about individuality to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Thinking the trenches were safe, and could protect them was a laugh when you punched someone in the stomach. They re nasty, poisonous, Insanity killing machines. Inside they stacked up too many land mines to count, and if I named everything else they had inside those things, you d be more radioactive than most of the people who have fallen into that disastrous death trap. My gut told me to go back, and get my friends, that I shouldn t go through the barbed wire gates without someone by my side. But my head was stronger, and I carelessly walked in. Behind the barbed wire gates was an area in the city I d never seen or remembered the last time I lived there. It looked like one of those military sectors mixed with a secret science lab. The place was enclosed in gates all around. Most of the land was filled with white warehouses and small buildings. What is this place? What is this place? What is this place? Don t trust this place. This place is dangerous. Stop walking. Stop being annoying and leave. They are after you. My mind kept racing like a shooting star that could never disappear. I didn t listen to my mind still. It wasn t right for my mind to betray me as well. As I walked deeper into the jungle of warehouses, I stopped and noticed one of the creepy buildings was open. It looked the same. Exactly the same as every building or warehouse around me. But something seemed different, like the building wanted me to go into it. It was a beacon signal that just had to be found. • 7. Symbolism In The Black Cat In the short tale The Black Cat, Edgar Allen Poe expresses his hate and love for cats. With twisting words and mystical views, the tale takes place in the 1840 s. Within this classic American Literature Gothic tale, symbolism is depicted throughout with many plot twists the story is told. While The Black Cat was written to achieve an effect of shocking insanity in this time period it did just that. In this first person narrative the narrator tells of the readers of his decline from sanity and madness, all because of an obsession with two or maybe one black cat. This short story easily achieved the effect and use of symbolism. In this tale the use of symbolizes are represented by the setting, the cat or cats, the house and his wife, all of which are a great representation of Edgar Allen Poe s imaginary and life. In the tale the setting was a sign of symbolism. Poe represented this in the plot development with a diverse word choice, and detailed character development. In most cases, the setting is usually indelible to a story, but The Black Cat relies little on this element. Poe used detailed character development so the reader begins to empathize with the characters. With just enough character information given out at the time of the horrific event the reader will feel connected. This tale could have occurred anywhere and can be placed in any era. This makes the setting the weakest element of The Black Cat. Poe does not say a certain location of where it takes place leaving the reader to wonder. The most obvious of symbolic references in this story is the first and the second cat that arrives in the tale and the name chosen, Pluto. Pluto leads his owner down the path toward insanity and loss of reason (Lombardi, Esther). As Poe states in the following quote Pluto is his best friend, why would he have killed them? Pluto this was the cat s name was my favorite pet and playmate. I alone fed him, and he attended me wherever I went about the house. It was even with difficulty that I could prevent him from following me through the streets (Edgar Allen Poe). Could the man in the tale have been a drunken fool, or suffered for a psychotic illness. If you love an animal that much a normal human surly wouldn t ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Holding Out For a Hero I was really super excited for this trip, words can t explain. I was planning on coming to Cali soon, but I had to raise money. This trip is all free. I get to go to San Diego, California. Wow. I had just finished zipping my suitcase when I heard the car horn. The Jacks are here! I smiled widely already getting butterflies about everything and ran down with my stuff. It was a struggle, but never stop an ambitious girl who is about to fly to San Diego. I opened my front door and motioned for one of them to get out of the car and come help with my bags. I only had one suitcase but it was heavy. I grabbed my carry on and jogged to the car as Johnson grabbed my suitcase. I made sure that my phone and laptop were fully charged once we were on our way. I reached into my bag and looked for my books making sure I had brought them. What else am I supposed to do on the plane? San Diego is going to be sweet! We re meeting the guys up at the beach after we get there, Johnson exclaimed and pumped his fist. I giggled at his personality and nodded. I ve always wanted to go to the beach. I m so excited guys, you have no idea! I shook my hands, a little habit I do since I was little. My mom used to tell me to shake off all the nerves, so I d shake my hands, I m so excited for the beach. The sun, the sand, the water, the bikinis, and the hot guys. Agh! • 9. Becoming an Individual in Rewriting the Soul by Ian... In a planet consisting of over six billion humans, finding individuality in oneself becomes an arduous task. There exists in man the desire to be recognized by others as an individual with specifically positive qualities. Therefore, based on the labels assigned to him, he creates his desired persona. This concept is exemplified in Rewriting the Soul by Ian Hacking through his theory of the looping effect, which portrays a cycle of mutual changes based on the influence of classifications and those classified. Humans are given labels and thus act appropriately to either maintain the favorable labels or diminish those which appear negative. This creates a fabrication based on the influence of others rather than a true self. The mimicry of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Hacking dives into the history of multiple personality disorder he brings up a certain concept to justify the transition from the 19th century version of the disorder to modern day s picture. This concept he names the looping effect of human kinds (21), which is explained with the MPD example being that the doctors vision was different because the patients were different; but the patients were different because the doctors expectations were different (21). The doctors influence the patients only to be later influenced in return by the patients thus there will never be a concrete definition of MPD nor will there be a fixed prototype of the disorder as both are being constantly mutually altered. Consequently, a diagnosed MPD possessor will never truly know whether or not they have the disorder since MPD has no locked definition. In like manner, the looping effect affects all persons as their identities are continually being modified from external influences whether they chose to be or not. In the case of consciously changing themselves, people are specifically labeled and are assigned certain qualities of which they either view as pleasant or insulting. As a result, these people choose to modify themselves in the attempt of creating a new self that embodies the favored qualities and eliminates the unattractive qualities. This new self is nothing more than a mimic of surrounding influences, which present ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kassatly Chtaura Kassatly Chtaura ABSTRACT In April 2013, Kassatly Chtaura, a family owned company of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages headquartered in Chtaura, Lebanon, faces a dilemma. It is doing well with regard to sales and market share and has succeeded in building a solid income. Meanwhile, the prior year s numbers show dim growth performance, and the family is unsatisfied about sales of its syrups, juices, ready to drink beverages and wines have reached a plateau. Undoubtedly, one of the advantages that Kassatly Chtaura has, is how they shape their strategy, implement new drinks according to market trends and its innovative position in alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. They have been receiving much recognition for the ingredients that are used in its production. The same laws have specified restrictions on alcohol and energy drinks, and that s where Kassatly Chtaura could find the right time to launch its various products in Lebanon and in turn be related to Saudi Arabia, which provides an advantage to position itself in the group GCC in the Middle East. However, the tension is handled in the country of Lebanon and in the closest countries. Is a rapid change that may arise from the overnight, so achieving manufacturing in another country where it is not fully understood the culture, the rules and laws governing, is a risk that can be significant in the formation of an expansion in Saudi Arabia or in Africa as an emerging market that is growing nowadays. Kassatly Chtaura is a company that has taken advantage of the situation, resources and the regions where they can make some investment to prop up the finances and not fall into a low development of innovation in the products they handle. • 11. Afternoons by Philip Larkin Essays Afternoons by Philip Larkin. A poem which reflects on the subject of marriage is Afternoons by Philip Larkin. The poem deals with Larkin s view on young mothers watching their kids playing in a playground and on this he concludes that marrying young and having children young, lead to the mothers losing their identity and destiny. The techniques used by the poet such as theme, imagery and tone deepened my understanding of the issue. The structure of the poem is simple; there are three stanzas with eight lines in each. However, unlike every other poem by Larkin this layout has no direct meaning. The lines are unrhymed. The first stanza deals with Larkin s rather cynical view of marriage and deals with the idea that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By using the idea of wind in the poem, Larkin is able to add his own personal views. The wind acts as an idea of change. This is continued moreover in the third stanza via the use of enjambement. This enables Larkin to carry on and develop his point. Larkin s use of imagery is very effective. The courting places which were once used by the young mothers are changing but so are their children. The courting places are still being used, however, the people of whom should be using them now have the burden of children and can no longer have the fun this place entails. The unripe acorns as described by Larkin, are the children who are still in school . This implies Larkin, as an outsider observing and looking in, believes that as generations pass romance is lost further and that people have children far to young. The children within the school are not mature enough to realise what courting means. A grim humour is assumed when the reader realises these children still have a future wereas the young mothers do not.The tone of the poem has become increasingly more cynical. Larkin refers to how regimented the mothers lives are again when they are expected to pick up their children from school. The women have changed immensely with the pressures and responsibilities that the child has brought, they are putting on weight and losing their looks, probably due to having the children. Their beauty has thickened . ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is reported that up to 40% of adults use at least one over the counter dietary supplement daily and most of these people do not ask or inform their doctors about taking these supplements. Herbal and nonherbal health supplements are popular because some people believe it is easier to take these than to buy and prepare healthy meals, especially when they are busy with work or if quality foods are not easily available. To others, taking specific food supplements is a means to increase immunity to certain diseases, support bodybuilding, or achieve weight loss. Some health care providers recommend taking dietary supplements to replace nutritional deficiencies but most experts advise consuming a healthy, balance diet that provides most of the nutrients one needs to maintain health. Supplements that can Damage the Liver Studies show that certain dietary supplements, especially vitamins, minerals and antioxidants have many health benefits, which includes prevention of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Participation In Sports Analysis Chapter I Statement of Purpose The author has had a lifetime of experience with athletics in multiple sports as an athlete, as a coach, and now as an athletic director at a high school. As an athlete that was highly competitive, his mindset was to always work hard and do whatever it took to win. About a year after all of his college eligibility has been completed his good friend took a job at a high school in San Bernardino as a water polo coach and asked him to come out to the pool to teach his boys a few things. The author took on an assistant coaching position from that point on for the next 6 years because he loved teaching the athletes what it was to not only be a competitor but to be a competitor the right way, through hard work and respecting the game. Sociologists typically assume that immigrants acquisition of English as a second language follows the opportunities and motivations to become proficient in English, while many linguists argue that second language acquisition may be governed by maturational constraints, possibly biologically based, that are tied to the age at onset of language learning. In this article, I use U.S. census data to investigate the relationship between age at onset of second language learning and levels of English language proficiency among foreign born adults in the United States. The overarching conclusion is that proficiency in a second language among adults is strongly related to age at immigration. Part of that relationship is attributable to social and demo graphic considerations tied to age at entry into a new country, and part may be attributable to maturational constraints.( Age at immigration acquisition of language, English as second language, second language proficiency)* When investigating second language (L2) acquisition among immigrants, sociologists and economists often rely on exposure or human capital frame works, in which L2 learning is prompted by opportunities and motivations to become proficient in English. According to Matthew Sag, The essence of trolling is that the plaintiff is more focused on the business of litigation than on selling a product or service or licensing their IP to third parties to sell a product or a service ( Copyright Trolling, An Empirical Study page 4). Copyright trolls seek to acquire their income from suing others on copyright violations, rather than continually creating new works and using copyright to protect them. Copyright, whether one agrees with the concept or not, was not designed for this purpose. People should not be allowed to make a business off of suing others. This is not only unjust, but wastes the court s time with actual crimes. The United States must reform its current laws to prevent this type of behavior from happening. According to Parker Higgins, Like email spammers, copyright trolls depend on the ability to cheaply cast a very wide net, sending out hundreds or thousands of accusations at once and getting settlement payments back from some percentage ( Copyright trolls suffer big loss par. 3). Many trolls do not target specific groups or people; rather, they spread it in such a way that any company or organization can accidentally misuse it. As an employer, large, international airports can help local economies thrive financially with employment opportunities for area residents. Even smaller municipal airports give back to the local community in the form of tax revenue from fuel sales, airplane property taxes, and in the case of land lease arrangements, hangar property taxes. Further, airports can (and typically do) impact the environment around them. Airport operators are mandated by federal and state guidelines on areas such as erosion mitigation, pollution prevention, and to fuel spill prevention, and are bound even further to protect the local ecology and reduce the impact on wildlife, flora, and endangered species (Horonjeff, 2010). • 21. The First Phase Of The Second World War Throughout the first phase of the Second World War in Europe, Germany sought to avoid a long war. Its strategy was to win a decisive victory over their opponents with a series of short campaigns. Germany quickly took control of most of Europe and was victorious for more than two years with the Blitzkrieg (lightning war). This new military tactics required the concentration of a powerful set of offensive forces (tanks, aircrafts and artillery) on a narrow front. By practicing a breach in the enemy defenses, these forces allowed the armored divisions to quickly penetrate and maneuver freely behind enemy lines, disrupting their defenses. The German Air Force prevented the enemy to resupply, to redeploy its forces efficiently and to send reinforcements to close the breaches that occurred in his front. The German forces were thus able to encircle the enemy and force him to surrender. In June 1941, the German forces invaded the Soviet Union. The blitzkrieg seemed at first to be a success. Soviet forces retreated over 900 km to the gates of Moscow, suffering huge losses. However, it was on the Soviet territory that the blitzkrieg showed its limits. In this context, the amelioration of the allied forces readiness after the two first years of the war, and the vulnerability of the blitzkrieg to logistics and qualified manpower, reduced greatly its success after 1941. The adaptation of new defensive tactics by the allies has greatly contributed to the failure of the blitzkrieg. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are two kinds of skepticism, local skepticism, which states that some areas of inquiry don t allow for knowledge, and global skepticism, which states that we cannot know anything about the world, (Bogosian). One of the most common arguments for skepticism is the Brain in a Vat argument, which is very similar to the argument of the Evil Demon who controls us. In opposition to this is a philosopher by the name of Hilary Putnam, who uses language as proof for us not being brains in vats. I am going to explain to you why I think that Putnam is correct. If I had to decide on one of the two arguments to be the strongest, I would choose the argument against the idea of brains in vats. • 36. Monster Persuasive Speech When I say monsters , I don t mean the ones that only come out at night and hide in the darkness, I m talking about the monsters that reside in our minds. The monsters that we deal with on a daily basis, and overwhelm us if we don t control them. We all have these monsters, no matter if they are huge or minuscule, and how much they affect our lives. The monsters that I deal with are constantly driving me towards procrastination and anxiety, and I must learn to overcome, or I will be consumed. Procrastination, possibly the worst and most destructive monster I have. Procrastination is the reason for most of my problems, and I can never overcome it. I live with it, and it is a part of me, so overcoming it is out of the question. The best I can do is deal with it. Procrastination was best explained by Tim Urban, who compared the brain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anxiety is my second biggest monster, partly because it is a huge side effect of procrastination. It is a constant stress in the back of the mind that only says negative things about the future. A voice that tells the victim, You won t get that paper done, you re going to fail. A voice that never stops and tells the victim that they did a good job, because according to anxiety, I can only do wrong. It is anxiety that limits the victim from doing great things because of the failures along the way, and the inability to forget the bad, and focus only on the good. The glass is always half empty for anxiety, which means it is almost impossible for the victim to think positively about the future. I compare anxiety to Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone, attached to Professor Quirrell s head, constantly whispering evil commands. Anxiety is a silent killer, and a hard one to deal with, but it is easier to overcome than procrastination. It is my second worst monster because I can overcome anxiety in short spans, and I can halt the effects it at some ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Forgetting the difference between the want and need can truly affect how americans feel about overspending money. In Kathryn Buschman Vasel s article, Why we over Spend the reason behind an individual s failure to save money states that almost everyone will overspend at one point in their life, but some feel like they deserve the same goods as their peers and that s where the problem lies: not knowing the difference between wanting something, deserving something, and being entitled to something , many are oblivious about the obsession of spending on the wants, so the poor decisions continue to arise with an America being now a consumer and not a ... • 39. High School Dropouts Working two jobs, paying bills, and trying to live a good life are what most dropouts go through. Education is a key factor in succeeding in life. However, not all students get to complete their high school and continue on to a college. Completing high school and getting a degree from college is the ticket to a better lifestyle. As we look around us, people are still living and paying off their bills even as dropouts from high school. However, they are living at a hand to mouth situation. Most dropouts probably work several jobs to just pay off their bills and support themselves.
