different temperatures for 24 hours. Each enzyme was then placed in a test tube with hydrogen
peroxide and the rate of enzyme activity was measured. The result was that the rate of enzyme activity
decreased as the temperature increased for the liver enzyme, but increased for the potato enzyme.

The exhibition that I viewed at the San Antonio Art Museum was called 28 Chinese . This exhibit was
based on the artwork of 28 contemporary Chinese artists. Throughout the exhibit, it was discussing the
fall of communism, poverty, the essence of time, resistance, rebellion and the conservation of history.
Some of the artwork I saw were created by Zhu Jinshi, Qiu Zhijie, Zhang Huan, and Shang Yixin, just
to name a few. The exhibit was on two floors of the museum. When I first entered the exhibit, it led
me to a big white room with art being displayed on all walls. The first room was based on the Coca
Cola project in which there was a tall case of Coca Cola bottles being displayed right when you walk

Doctors and The Medical System in Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway
Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway is a piece of literature that helped to push forward a culture of writing
that she felt was otherwise stuck. Along with a style that transcended how people thought about telling
a story, was the commentary. The story is riddled with commentary on politics, society, war, class, and
the medical system. Virginia Woolf lets her worldviews bleed into her writing in a way that is
somehow both subtle and also still direct. She lets the characters have their own experiences and
dialogue, which show her views from different perspectives and without just coming out and saying it.
The commentary that this is most evident in is Woolf s commentary on doctors and the medical
system as a whole. Throughout Mrs. Dalloway, Virginia Woolf shows the incompetence of doctors and
the medical system through Clarissa and Septimus s interactions with them.
As the novel unfolds you begin to see more of the commentary on the medical system leak into the
story. When the novel begins, Clarissa is leaving to go out for a walk around the town. Clarissa hasn t
been able to get out as much as she has liked because she has struggled with her own illnesses that
have kept her presumably somewhat bed ridden. Although Clarissa s interactions with the doctors in
this story are not necessarily direct, it is made known that she has at least some distain for the time in
her life that she was struggling with her health.

message about war. The intention of the photo was to turn the public s opinion against war. In this
photograph, a young woman known as Jan Rose Kasmir comes face to face with guards outside the
Pentagon and she is marching towards them in protest against war. Riboud saw this young innocent
woman confront the guards and he slowly crept up to the side of her and took the picture with her not
knowing. Many years later, Jose Rose Kasmir saw the picture and began to cry as it took her back to
the overwhelming sadness of the war. I will discuss the technical aspects of the image and look at the
various readings that can be seen. I will also discuss my own reflection of the photograph and the
reasons why I chose to analyse it.
There are a number of technical aspects used in this photograph. It uses depth of field which gives a
focused image. The photograph lacks sharpness apart from the flower that Jan Rose Kasmir is holding.
The flower has a sharp focus and looking closely at the image, the quality in the flower compared to
the focus in the young woman s face is quite different. The way that this has been created makes the

nations. Everything seemed to have played in favor of the Empire of Japan; from planning, to
gathering the necessary resources, the silent 3,300 nautical mile journey of the task force and
ultimately the attack itself. From a tactical standpoint the attack was one of the most ingenious naval
operations in history. With the loss of four U.S. battleships, 180 Aircraft, and 2,400 sailors the attack
