Zopiclone is a cyclopyrrolone drug first developed by Rhône Poulenc Rore (1, page 220) in the early
1970s (2). It is classified as a GABAA receptor agonist, and is a central nervous system depressant.
Zopiclone binds onto subunits on the GABAA receptor and modulates the opening of the chloride ion
channels in the neuron cell membrane (3, page 1). By increasing the conductance of chloride ions and
hyperpolarizing the neuron, the frequency of action potentials is reduced. This causes an inhibition of
brain activity, causing zopiclone to have hypnotic, sedative, muscle relaxant, anxiolytic, and
anticonvulsant effects (4).
Zopiclone acts much in the same way as benzodiazepines when used to treat insomnia, but was

The River Stinchar and its tributaries, the ferly burn and the Dalquairne burn show patterns which
follow the Bradshaw Model to a large extent. The typical upper course of a river is narrow in width,
shallow in depth and slow in velocity. The load size is very large and therefore, less of it. The bank
gradients are steep and the discharge levels are low. All these features gradually change as the river
flows downstream. This is shown in figure 2 The location chosen for study is The River Stinchar and
its tributaries which are located in South Ayrshire and flow south west from the Galloway Forest Park

especially the education system. He examines previous educational attitudes, as well as those during
his time. As a humanist thinker, Rabelais values education and reform. The author was extremely
familiar with the university system in France during the Renaissance because he himself studied in
these places. Francois Rabelais emphasizes that education has progressed since the Middle Ages, but
he also affirms problems still persist during the Renaissance period.

Children s Literature and the Holocaust
During the 1940 s Jewish Europeans experienced an unthinkable and atrocious collective trauma. In
her work Survivor Parents and Their Children taken from the anthology Generations of the Holocaust,
Judith S. Kestenberg has argued that regardless of location, the effects of the Holocaust are felt on
survivors parenting. The children of survivors receive a secondary traumatic impact by being forced to
deal with the impact the Holocaust had directly on their parents. The novel Briar Rose by Jane Yolen

People can either have the ability to say it could have been me, it was me, also and at the same time
that it was not me or the line between the witness and the listener can be blurred and the historical
trauma interiorized. Hirsch identifies a negative identification with trauma as idiopathic or self
sameness (408). An over identification with trauma causes the witness to act out and become a victim.
As Hirsch writes, Acting out is based on tragic identification and the continuation of one s self as a
surrogate victim. It is based on over identification and repetition. Keeping the wounds open, it results
in retraumatization (414).
It is because of these reasons that painful histories must be carefully passed on with the witness s
welfare in mind. Anyone who hears a first hand account about the Holocaust may experience trauma.
According to Judith S. Kestenberg, author of Survivor Parents and Their Children, first hand
witnessing of the Holocaust has long term traumatic effects that are passed down through generation.

Julian Bond Biography
There is a thin line between politics and theatricals Julian Bond, a government official, educator, and
civil rights activist. Born on January 14, 1940, at the age of 25 in 1965 he was elected for Georgia s
state legislature; died on August 15, 2015 ending his journey at the age of 75 but leaving iconic history
behind. Mr. Bond was born in Nashville, Tennessee. His family moved to Pennsylvania at his age of
five due to the fact that his father was the first African American president of Lincoln University. In
1957, he enrolled in Atlanta s Morehouse College. He became a member of a committee to appeal
Human Rights while still being a student. Mr. Bond hosted protests against segregation all over public
places in Atlanta. Years later, in the 60 s he helped students create a nonviolent coordinating group in

At the time when he was working with the SNCC s he had made a statement that opposed the
Americans going to the Vietnam War; this statement held him back from being sworn into his seat.
This action let for the case to go to the supreme court, it also had a help from Martin Luther King Jr to
create a protest. In the long run Bond s case won the supreme court vote. Finally in 1967, he was able
to take office. After eight years in the Georgia House of Representatives office, he moved on to be a
Georgia senator. Julian attended the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968 and was

A Possible Examination Done By Rhetoric Experts On the morning of September 11, 2001, al Qaeda
terrorists carried out a set of coordinated suicide attacks with four hijacked passenger planes and killed
around 3,000 people on American soil. The first two planes hit the World Trade center and killed
everyone on board and hundreds inside the buildings. Following this attack, the nation was informed
by President Bush that these attacks were, apparent terrorist attacks on our country

Pentagon in Washington, D.C., killing multiple people aboard and 125 military and civilian personnel

the plane back from the hijackers. With thousands of lives taken and the American people frightened
and needing answers, they expected someone to deliver a speech addressed to the nation to provide
some form of comfort and guidance. George W. Bush, as president, was the only logical rhetor to fill

The women of the late sixties, although some are older than others, in Alice Walker s fiction that
exhibit the qualities of the developing, emergent model are greatly influenced through the era of the
Civil Rights Movement. Motherhood is a major theme in modern women s literature, which examines
as a sacred, powerful, and spiritual component of the woman s life. Alice Walker does not choose
Southern black women to be her major protagonists only because she is one, but because she had
discovered in the tradition and history they collectively experience an understanding of oppression
that has been drawn from them a willingness to reject the principle and to hold what is difficult.

Meridian s quest for wholeness and her involvement in the Civil Rights Movement is initiated by her
feelings of failure in living up to the standards of black motherhood. Meridian gives up her son
because she believes she will destroy his growth with guilt and she has her tubes tied after a painful
abortion (pg. 133). Walker investigated the idea of an African American structure of motherhood, as
she develops the protagonist, Meridian, who at first believes she cannot properly fulfill the
responsibility.
The author entered the conflict about the value of motherhood in which American feminists were then,
as they are now, engaged. Motherhood is also seen as a moral transformation, as a woman comes to
terms with being different in that she ceases to be an independent individual because she is one way or
the other attached to another her baby (FPS). Barbara Christian writes that Walker combines the forces
of traditional and feminist perspectives on motherhood, attempting a compromise that would allow the
protagonist to survive:
As many radical feminists blamed motherhood for the waste in women s lives and saw it as a dead end
for a woman, Walker insisted on a deeper analysis: She did not present motherhood itself as
restrictive. It is so because of the little value society places on children, especially black children, on

To understand the effects that Cystic Fibrosis has, it is important to discuss CFTR synthesis and
trafficking. Mutations in the CFTR results in protein misfolding, causing a defect in cellular
processing and trafficking that targets the protein for degradation and reduces the quantity of CFTR at
the cell surface [56]. In order for the CFTR to function correctly, then it must be synthesized, folded,
and transported to the apical membrane of the cell without problem. The CFTR passes through quality
control systems to get rid of misfolded proteins that would not function properly or that could become

One system detects defects in the cytosolic parts of the CFTR while the other detects defects within
the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. It is apparent that ubiquitylating proteins work with specific
factors in order to detect misfolding. For example, Hsp70 detects mutations in the cytosolic regions of
the CFTR. It is suspected that Hsp70 keeps the CFTR soluble until the E3 ligase CHIP binds with it.
The complex that forms between these two redirects the CFTR to the degradation pathway. Derlin 1 is
involved with detecting defects in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and is involved in the retro
translocation of CFTR from the endoplasmic reticulum so that it can be send to the proteasome for
degradation [20]. If the CFTR protein is folded correctly within the endoplasmic reticulum, then it is
sent to the Golgi apparatus. The coat protein complex II (COPII), which is found within the ER
membrane, helps to maintain the correct CFTR structure and location, conformation, and protein
protein interactions as this occurs. Final processing for the CFTR is carried out within the Golgi, as
the CFTR replaces a mannose enriched side chain with a mature complex oligosaccharide side chain.
After this is completed, the CFTR is moved to the apical membrane where it has a half life of 12 to 24
