Community Meeting Review For my project I visited the City of Hesperia s Official Website and
reviewed the April 1, 2014 City Council Meeting which is available to the public on line. The
beginning of the meeting started with a call of order then proceeded to the roll call of the board
members. After these steps had taken place an invocation was performed followed by the Pledge of

It all started with a message out of the blue. Jenna had been hard at work and was starting to wind

She was born to wealthy parents and seemingly had every opportunity in the world laid out in front of
her, whereas Jenna had very little.
She had left college and worked hard to build up some cash to take on her first bar. This had been a
success and soon she bought another. Within 8 years, her bars and restaurants were running smoothly
and were highly regarded in the city. She had achieved this with her own hard work and with little or
no help from anyone.
Nikki unsurprisingly also had done well for herself and settled down with Dan a big, handsome guy

large portion of Mersault s personality in a minimal amount of words. Mersault expresses that the
telegram doesn t mean anything, which at first seems absurd since it clearly informed him of his
mother s death. What is important to realize, is that this statement is in fact true, because Mersault is

The biggest difference between the Blue Zones and the Rest of America is their culture. In these areas,
individuals tend to be naturally more active and eat healthier. In all three areas, they eat a mainly plant
based diet in combination with other fresh, healthy foods like whole wheat bread, nuts, beans, and
cheese full of Omega 3 fatty acids. These communities also find natural ways to keep them active
walking wherever they go, gardening, bike riding and most importantly finding ways to stay active if
they choose to retire. These cultures also tend to have a social system that finds pride in their elders,

understand aging. The biological aspects of aging would obviously highlight that healthy, active
individuals with good genetics would age more successfully. The cultures of the Blue Zones
encourage healthy habits which help increase the life span. Healthy habits can also help slow down, or
even stop, some of the processes of primary and secondary aging these factors include natural and
illness related changes. Cultures that promote cleaner eating habits and active lifestyles will naturally
have a better chance of having healthy and happy elderly. Blue Zones tend to be small, close
communities since they are so small and tight knit families may tend to stay in the area for

Due to their ambiguity secretive religions open themselves up to many misconceptions and issues
especially when concerning the law. In my research paper I will identify a religion that has had
problems arise due to their secretive nature. I popular culture secrecy breed s suspicion. Religion in
particular is expected in the west to be open, honest and welcoming, based largely on the model of
Christianity. Plenty of religions involve secrecy, where believers are told things forbidden to outsiders,
and where further information is often revealed in stages as believers rise through the ranks. With
religion there are lot of reasons for secrecy, to avoid outsiders obtaining sacred knowledge only privy
to people in a certain religion or occult. Most religions believe that knowledge is sacred and to be
shared with only insiders in the religion who wholehearted believe and respect the religion. I recall as
a child I was apart of a free Mason group called Order of the Eastern Star. We had weekly meetings
and before the meetings adjourned we were reminded that we could not let anyone know what happen
in the meeting, not even our mother, which to say did not sit well with her. The information that is
shared often is not highly classified, but with many religious groups it s more so about inclusiveness.
Because you are apart of this particular group you are included in something bigger than yourself,
