A Zombie Apocalypse
In the event of a zombie apocalypse everything in this world would change. Society will not be the
same, the norms society once had will be different. Governments would like to establish social control
but the environment would be too chaotic to control. A survival mode would be establish by
everybody, everybody would be by themselves, and only protect their own. Resources would be the
new currency, because paper money would no longer have value, but a resources will.
Governments would like to establish social order, but the people would not trust the government
anymore. Deviance will not have meaning; everything will be acceptable in order to survive in the
zombie apocalypse. Stealing, murdering, assassinating, fighting, and total disaster is expected from
this environment. If an individual needs food for its family and goes to the supermarket, and he is
denied the food, that individual will be fighting to get food for its family. Law enforcement would be
trying to enforce the law but they too will be in trouble. An individual needing something in order to
survive would kill anybody, including a law enforcement officer. Police would realize that their life is
in danger and stop serving the government, if this happens who would enforce order? This would be
the start of a chaotic environment. The wealthy would try to buy resources or services but their paper
backed money will no longer be accepted why? Because there would be no government establishing
order or a system,

Give Me Death Rhetorical Analysis Essay
Virginian politician Patrick Henry, like many of the founding fathers, was concerned by England s
actions preceding the Revolutionary War and decided to voice this concern in arguably one of the
most critical speeches in political history, Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death . Henry used his
political passion and voice to convince the powerful politicians at the Second Virginia Convention that
England was violating its citizen s rights, and if specific measures were not taken, like forming a
militia, the colonies would face imminent danger. Henry s speech was so successful because he crafted
it specifically with his audience in mind. His knowledge of the distinguished men strengthened his
speech because he knew what rhetorical technique would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To appeal to them emotionally, he focuses on their pride, something people tend to care highly about.
He likens England s grip on the colonists to slavery, There is no retreat but in submission and slavery!
Our chains are forged! , to make his audience think about how powerless they are to England in that
moment. He implies that England is taking away what they believe should be their free will to govern
on their own behalf (Henry 2). No one wishes to relinquish control of his own life and turn it over to
someone else and therefore this becomes a matter of pride. He urges the men not to allow their voices
to be silences by any form of government. By exclaiming [the chains] clanking may be heard on the
plains of Boston he notes that England is making a public mockery of the colonists, and the whole
country will be aware of their failure if they refuse to stand up for themselves. He again speaks to the
men s pride when he notes They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an
adversary (Henry 2). He knows the men do not want to appear as such to the people who trust them to
lead, and in making this point he is urging the men to find their inner voice and rise up to reclaim their
power against the tyrannical English

Research Paper On The Hippocampus
The hippocampus is part of the Limbic System (Wright, n.d.). According to Wright, the hippocampus
formation is found in the temporal lobe of the brain. The study of the hippocampus is vital in
understanding how it governs human behaviors. As perceived, the brain is a complex machine and
through understanding its crucial parts in the processing of information would give a clear
understanding and precautions to people on how to protect their brain from memory loss and other
similar diseases. In addition, Wright explained that the hippocampus is directly linked to the
entorhinal cortex and the fornix. That is to say that the output pathways of hippocampus passed
directly to the entorhinal cortex and the fornix before reaching other anterior structures. What is more,
not only do outputs coming from hippocampus are passed through the entorhinal cortex, but both parts
are also directly connected to one another which includes the amyglada (Wright, n.d). Why is this part
of the study? As elaborated by Wright, both entorhinal cortex and amyglada are structures that are
connected to several parts of the brain. Thereby, all areas of the brain that are connected to aforesaid
structures could be affected by hippocampus. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Effects Of Decolonization Of Burma
Alexey Skyban (14201708)
Intro International Politics
13 October 2014
Unwillingness to do what is Right
Decolonization after 1945 undoubtedly caused more harm than good. Inevitably, colonized countries
across the globe would have eventually requested sovereignty. Today, many decolonized countries are
beginning to prosper and flourish; however, their path to such a state was long and challenging. The
fluke in decolonization was not that it happened, but the way it did. Only concerned with self interest
and prosperity domestically, European Empires were blinded to the consequences of abandoning their
colonies without any guidance or support. Poor decolonization of Burma resulted in widespread
oppression, downfall of the economy, and violation of human rights. Britain left Burma with a very
weak government unable to control its own country. As a result, the democratic government was
overthrown and a ruthless tyrant rose to power.
Before British rule, Burma was a wealthy, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

all. With demands of, protection of ethnic culture, language, and religion, the devolution of tangible
executive, legislative, and judicial power to the ethnic states within a true federal union, and a
democratic form of government (ConflictMap.org) not met, the ethnic groups turned to violence. As a
result, Burma experienced intense periods of civil war which devastated and destabilized the country
even further. As the economy collapsed, U Nu was forced out of office by General Ne Win in order to

Fifth Business by Roberson Davies and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller
Throughout most of history woman have faced an imbalance within their social class opposed to the
male gender. They have had fewer rights and much fewer career opportunities, the stereotype that a
women s place is in the home is due to the most socially accepted and common career of wifehood
and motherhood. Through the comparison of Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller and Fifth Business
by Robertson Davies the contrasts between both works are explored from the feminist perspective.

The Pros And Cons Of Fairtrade
Imagine your a coffee farmer from Columbia, you love your plants and fields. You have spent
virtually your whole life tilling and caring for everything encompassed by your farm. However when
you go to sell your beans, that love you put into your work doesn t translate to good pay. In fact your
paid so low for your product that you have to choose between taking care of your family or taking care
of your crop for next year. Now implant FairTrade into the mix and you will see a happy farmer
getting paid higher prices. Over the course of this paper we will be discussing FairTrade. What it is
and how it works while also covering negatives and positives to the FairTrade experience, starting
with. So what is FairTrade and how does it work? FairTrade started out as the Alternative Trade
Organization back in the 1950s. Essentially they worked to cut out the middle man which meant more
money to the farmer. (Lamb, 2016) The problem is farmers sell their product to one buyer who then
sells it to another, this process loops numerous times until our coffee bean is ground and poured into a
mug. This means the farmer is forced to pay by taking a very small sales price.
Now over the course of time the Alternative Trade Organization began to morph and change first
adapting a label to identify FairTrade products. But also requiring an entity to certify and ... Show

that are hard to reach. Some have said that the certifying process has missed farms that were using

listed as organic and not really being so, child labor would go against everything FairTrade stands

Analysis of Remarke´s All Quiet on the Western Front
A major reiterated theme of Remarque s novel All Quiet on the Western Front focuses on Bӓumer, the
narrator, and his comrade s accurate view of World War I and how greatly it contrasts to the ideas of
the older generation who persuaded the youth to join the war for defending Germany. An analysis of
Bӓumer s attitude toward the war reveals that the world of his former authority no longer exists. His
first encounters on the front shatter his trust and belief in the views and teachings of the generation
that should have been their mentors, directing this inexperienced Iron Youth (18) into the world and
preparing him for what would have been his future life. Now, Bӓumer realizes that, if he survives the
war, he can never return to ideas or desires of his youth nor ever truly re enter into the lives that the
generations before and after him belong. The older generations, consisting of Bӓumer s parents and
teachers, receive the war with a joyous enthusiasm of a chance to display German might and honor,
though no one had an idea of what the soldiers, their children, would have to endure. They, especially
Bӓumer s teacher Kantorek, took every possibility to persuasively impress this patriotic idea upon the
younger generation: that duty to one s country is the greatest thing (13). This generation, the ones who
were to equip and direct the younger so that they may survive in this world, was basically sending
their sons in blindly and completely unprepared for the true horrors of

Bone Loss Analysis Essay
In addition to DXA, quantitative computed tomography (QCT) has also been developed to quantify
bone mineral content and to assess bone loss (29). The main advantage of this technique is that
cancellous bone can be exam¬ined separately from cortical bone (30). In particular, in QCT a thin
transverse slice through the body is imaged: the image can be segmented to give a quantitative
mea¬sure of volumetric BMD (unlike DXA) of vertebrae, as¬sessing the cancellous bone
independently of surround¬ing cortical bone and possible aortic calcifications (31). QCT can be
performed to the spine (usually two to four vertebrae between T12 and L4 inclusive) on conven¬tional
whole body CT scanners, or to the appendicular skeleton at peripheral sites (radius, tibia) using
smaller, less expensive, dedicated peripheral CT scanners (pQCT). In QCT ... Show more content on

However, although this technique has important ad¬vantages over DXA, it has also disadvantages,
some of which are common to DXA. First, it has been shown that BMD values depend on the bone
marrow composi¬tion: this factor could provide an underestimation of bone mineral content values.
Second, the radiation dose induced by a QCT scan of a hip is significantly higher than that of DXA (1
mSv vs 10 μSv), which limits the applicability of the technique not only for screening but also for
standard diagnostics (36). In addition, this technique has difficulties with quality control, high cost
compared with DXA, necessity of well trained technicians for scan execution (37). For the clinical use
of QCT and pQCT in the man¬agement of osteoporosis, the International Society for Clinical
Densitometry (ISCD) published its official posi¬tion in 2008 stating that QCT of spine and pQCT of
radius predict vertebral and hip fractures, respectively, in post menopausal women

In countries where religious law is prominent, it is very important and respected. It is divine law , and
strives to guide human behavior with spiritual mandate. Religious law serves as a representation of the
religions values and morals. Most followers of this type of law believe that the law came from God(s).
A certain type of religious law is Islamic law. The Koran is the basis for Islamic law. The Koran sets
down basic standards of human conduct, but does not provide a detailed law code. (crf usa.org) While

The sharia deals mostly with tazir, jinayat and hadd. These offenses are to be heard in front of the qadi,
who is a judge. Sharia courts consist of courts of first instance and appeals courts. Cases that are fairly
small such as minor civil and criminal cases are seen in the summary courts of first instance. A single
qadi hears all summary court hearings. Then the general courts handle all cases that are more severe,
three qadis listen to cases that entail serious crimes such as murder. Decisions made in these courts
can be appealed through the sharia appeals court. The appeals court has three departments, personal
status suits, penal suits, and all other types of suits. A panel of several qadis as well as the Chief
Justice hear all the cases. Religious law as a whole, especially Islamic law, as it is very strict and
structured, brings believers together and separates them from non believers. There has been much
debate over Islamic law, many westerners believe that Muslims should abandon their practices and
turn over to democracy. Which has caused a few countries to have a dual legal system. Which is when

Niyazov And Isolation
1984, is a book that was published in 1949 and written by George Orwell. His reason for writing the
book was the hope that humans would read it and come to a realization that our world was headed
toward a dictator like or tyrannical style of government. Some ignorant people living in first world
countries might say that he was wrong, but those smart enough know just how right he was. These
terrifying places are very much real in the world today. The people living in these cruel environments
are often times isolated by their leaders and told they are living in the best country in the world, and
that their reason of isolation is to keep the rest of the world out. The harsh reality is that these people

Maybe it has to do with their early life, for example, Niyazov being orphaned starting from a very
young age after the death of most of his mother and father ( Obituary: Saparmurat Niyazov ). Perhaps
though, it has nothing to do with our upbringing, and maybe it only our internal hunger for power is to
blame. Whichever way that created a person as monstrous as Niyazov, definitely created something
huge. During Niyazov s rule he controlled everything he possibly could. Controlling the minds of his
people was his specialty. Forcing them to have the will to change their beliefs, their routines, their
individuality, was one of the reasons Niyazov succeeded in being one of the world s dictators (

He named some of the months and days of the weeks after his family. Only six years after he had

is Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and he has transitioned the country to start favoring him over their
old great leader and they have begun to be recreate the country for the new President.

Kierkegaard And Nietzsche
Soren Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher/existentialist born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Commonly
known as the father of existentialism , his works included strong subjects such as seeing the human
existence as fallen, and that human life is lived in suffering and sin, guilt, and anxiety. Kierkegaard s
work is mostly revolved around religion, specifically Christianity based. Coming from a line of
Lutheran pastors, shows how major of an influence religion is on his work. On the contrary, Friedrich
Nietzsche, a German philosopher/existentialist, was different from Kierkegaard with a more atheist

As mentioned earlier, Nietzsche doesn t recognize a high power, which is odd because he grew up
among Lutheran pastors. Philosophy of the future influenced Nietzsche s philosophy. He believed in
the after of certain periods. For example, he was post moral, post religious, post metaphysical etc. He
also was the type of existentialism philosopher that was about reevaluating values, basically giving a
new sense of good and bad and to be multi perspectival. However, in Nietzsche s eyes decision
making wouldn t be a burden like it would be seen in Kierkegaard s eyes. Nietzsche would see as a
great process for people to have control over their own lives. Because he believed in that you should
enhance the quality of life and become a work of art would support that having that free will, will let
humanity become, enhance, and create the life they want for themselves. Nietzsche s outlook about
shows that the central idea to his philosophy is the idea of life affirmation, which involves an honest
questioning of all doctrines that drain life s expansive energies, however socially prevalent those
views might be. (Wicks 1). With Nietzsche s outlook, would intrigue modern people today, to
proclaim their own lives and make their own decisions. Also, being constructive, being creative, and
reinterpreting everything was a part of the Nietzsche s philosophy and those three

Listening Skills Essay
Listening is one of the important skills among three other English skills; reading, writing and
speaking. Listening play significant role in language development. Listening is the ability to hear and
understand what other people say. It is also the basic skill that we have in learning language because
we listen before we speak. Just take the example of the babies. Before they can talk with their parents,
they only give signs when they want to communicate with them by crying. They only listen to the
speech or sounds that close to them. By the time, they gain all of knowledge and information from the
people near them. Then, they start to imitate and try to speak. Of course, this takes time, the babies
cannot talk directly when they listen to the language. So, this is the same as the learners who try to
learn English as a second language. Especially in listening ability. Listening is a receptive skill
because the learners do not need to produce the language. They only receive and try to understand the
language. Receptive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

We have the blues, folk music, classical, country, hip hop, pop, reggae, and rock and roll. Rock and
roll has continued to grow since the 1950s. Some of the most iconic music comes from the 1980s,
especially from the hair bands. Guns N Roses, a one of the most popular rock and roll bands ever,
produced some of the best rock and roll the world has seen. Back in 1985, two local bands from Los
Angeles, California, combined to make Guns N Roses. Axl Rose manned one of the bands, Hollywood
Rose, and Tracii Guns manned the other band, L.A. Guns. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Evaluating Kodak s Corporate Strategy
Background Eastman Kodak Company, headquartered in Rochester New York, was founded in 1889.
The corporation, now multinational and focusing on imaging and photographic equipment, posted
revenues in excess of $6 billion in 2011. During most of the 20th century Kodak was dominant in the
photographic film industry in 1976 it held 90% of the market but began a downward slide once the
Internet, digital cameras and computer processing grew. By 2007, Kodak ceased making a profit and
in January 2012 filed for bankruptcy protection and ceased making cameras, video cameras and began
to focus on the corporate digital imaging market (De La Merced, 2012). In evaluating Kodak s
corporate strategy from the mid 1980s onward, we find that there four major management paradigms

Climate Change And Climate Adaptation
One of the most challenging global issue facing today s society is climate change, it is affecting all
regions across the globe, with some areas experiencing extreme weather events and heavy rainfall,
whereas other regions are hit with droughts and heat waves. Climate change can be defined as a large
scale, long term shift in the planet s weather patterns or average temperatures. (metoffice).
Consequently, a range of challenges are occurring to not only human settlements, but more
importantly to the natural environment as well. It is becoming increasingly important for countries
across the globe to attempt to adapt and mitigate from the effects of climate change. Climate
mitigation is any action taken to permanently eliminate or reduce the long term risk and hazards of
climate change to human life, property. (Global greenhouse warming.com). It can include enhancing
the sinks of greenhouse gases, as well as reducing the sources. Whereas climate adaptation, is
referring to the ability of a system to adjust to climate change (including climate variability and
extremes) to moderate potential damage, to take advantage of opportunities, or to cope with the
consequences. (Global greenhouse warming.com). Adaptation can include improving road
infrastructure, so it would be able to withstand hotter temperatures, or just simply change in behaviour
shifts such as using less water. These two methods are essential and can be connected through
strategic town planning, and can be used to tackle climate change, through an array of
implementations which will not only prepare the globe, but also reduce the impacts of climate change.
Urban areas not only have a profound part in contributing to climate change, but these areas have also
become extremely vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, as more than half of the world s
population are living in urban areas and global rate of urbanisation is evermore increasing. Cities can
be met with an increase in frequency of storms, flooding, landslides and heat waves. Higher
temperatures also occur more frequently in urban areas than rural or suburban surroundings, due to the
urban heat island effect. This is an area, such as a city or industrial site, that has consistently

Difference Between Education And Social Class
Social class in education can be distinguished in many ways such as power, authority, and wealth. In
which these contributed to children inequalities education, since children with low income have less
possibilities. Since ancient times people have been debating whether social class is a factor of a child
education. In the article, Education and inequality: historical and sociological approaches to schooling
and social stratification , says that, Numerous sociological studies have documented the extent of
achievement gaps, in the United States and internationally.4 In the simplest terms, students from
higher social classes have higher achievement levels than students from lower social classes ,(Susan F,
2).This quote explained how is the gap between lower class and social class. We can see that this is an
important issue to those young people who want to improve their style of live and be a better someone
or a better person in the future have less opportunities than those of the higher class and these people
from the lower class feel unfair that just because you are born with a gold spoon does not mean, you
are a better or intelligent person than any of them. Thus, i believe that social education it s more than
just a matter that has been happening today s date, but it has been since many, many, years ago in
which these experts Alan R. Sadovnik and Susan F. Semelb dwell from the beginning to today s date

What Was The Cause Of The 2008 Financial Crisis
1. Introduction
The financial crisis of 2007 08 was also known as subprime crisis or credit crisis. Since the bubbles of
real estate market in America came into surface on August 9, 2007 investors were losing their
confidence on subprime mortgage assets and the liquidity risk followed behind. Even though the
central banks of many countries tried to turn around the situation by injecting huge amount of capital
to the financial market, the financial crisis still broke out and spread to Europe and other parts all over
the world especially on the backing sector.
The purpose of the essay is to identify the causes of the global financial crisis on the angle of the
failure of corporate governance in UK banks such as Northern Rock and RBS which will be discussed
in Section two. The reforms of UK governance post crisis will also be discussed especially on the
aspect of banking risk management in section three. In the fourth section conclusion will be given.
2. Causes of the Financial Crisis
In this section, the impacts of the financial crisis from different orientations will be shown in the first
place. Then, the role of the failure on governance of UK banks will be analyzed.
2.1. Consequences of the Crisis
The explosion of the global financial crisis impacted many areas of UK. Because of the uncertainty of
the market consumers lost confidence on the economy and households cut spending particularly on
manufactured product which leaded to the sharp fall in industrial production

How Did The Americans Take Taxes After The Revolutionary War
The American colonist and the British started out having a very civil relationship. They provided each
other with resources. During the French and Indian war the colonists were on the British side and
helped them fight. Unfortunately, after the war the British started to change their ways and started to
come up with new stricter rules. The British started to tax the colonist on different kinds of items,
which was not fair to the colonists. They were controlling the colonist with everything they did. The
colonists wanted them to back off a little but the British weren t budging. They thought they could tell
the colonists what to do but the colonists were not going to be treated that way, so they took matters in
their own hands. The colonists ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

used for nothing, just extra money for the British to have. The raising of revenue... was never
intended... Never did the British parliament, (until the passing of the Stamp act) think of imposing
duties in America for the purpose of raising a revenue. The Townshend Acts claim the authority to

Informative Speech On Hypnosis
My dad had taken my best friend, his brother, and me to a hypnosis show. At the time I thought that
hypnotism couldn t be real, and that he pays people to say as he does. He asks for volunteers, and of
course my dad s brother volunteers and is chosen. He then starts following the commands, tapping,
snoring, and dancing. Watching a six foot tall, 200 pound man dance in front of hundreds of people
may have changed my mind, and unless he was on payroll, hypnosis had to be real. So what is
hypnosis, what are common misconceptions and myths, and what are different types of hypnosis?
Today I will be answering these three questions.
Hypnosis is one to the most controversial and misunderstood way of psychological healing. It gives
you the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the hypnotist isn t picking at random he s searching for the easiest, and most willing
volunteers, because his or her job is to put on a show. Also the way the hypnotist presents them self is
key. If they were to say they were a part time actor and will pretend to be a hypnotist it is going to be
nearly impossible to hypnotize anyone. But if they say they are a famous hypnotist, who has traveled
the world changing lives, and who can hypnotize the audience in 1 minute, almost 90% of the people
will already be in hypnosis, according to self hypnosis. The last type of hypnosis I will be talking
about, which to me is the most intriguing form of hypnotherapy, is past life regression. This technique
helps practitioners uncover memories of their past lives. By uncovering these memories, you are able
to find out why you are the way you are. If you are having trouble in your current life that has no
direct cause, the goal is to find out the root cause of the issue from your past life or incarnation.
Whether you are strictly religious or not, past life regression helps you gain an awareness that you are
more than just a physical body.
Now that you are aware of what hypnosis is and the different forms of it, let s talk about common
myths and misconceptions people have about hypnosis. Number one, the hypnotist can make you do
something against your will. This is completely wrong, hypnotist only guide you to places, and if there

restraints have been cited as the reason for delayed implementation. However, the value in pursuing

promotes information sharing and a higher level of collaboration within AVS. Benefit or Need: Based
upon my experience of shadowing AVP 1 during the AVS Management meeting and in the FAA

opportunity to employees who are interested in learning more about our division promotes an
environment of learning throughout the office. Likewise, more frequent meetings with PO focal points

communication method to promote employee shadowing opportunities is a great way to promote free
educational training and advance information sharing in the office. These types of opportunities would
be distributed via email once or twice a month. Likewise, optional quarterly brown bags in the form of

An Exploration of Clarissa s gift through different points of view in Virginia Woolf s Mrs. Dalloway
Multiple points of view are represented and shifted through various characters in Virginia Woolf s
Mrs. Dalloway through indirect discourse, which helps to describe the innermost thoughts of Woolf s
central characters using singular pronouns in the third person. It is these multiple points of view that
establish interconnectedness among the characters, mirroring the interconnectedness that comes with
Clarissa s gift: her parties; it is these parties in which she brings people together and creates a human
dialogue.

terrified him. (15) We see the transition when we learn that Septimus is also looking out from the very
same motorcar, which is precisely when the point of view switches to Septimus , whereby his
consciousness is shrouded in trauma and shell shock a definite dichotomy between the opposing
worlds of himself and Clarissa s. Despite coming from seemingly opposing worlds, the subtle
transition establishes the interconnectedness between the two characters almost as if though they are
one person or entity.
A second significant transition occurs when Peter Walsh, a former love of Clarissa s, pays an
unexpected visit to Clarissa the same morning. Here we get a sense of their feelings and thoughts
towards each other, and learn that the togetherness they once had, has been lost:
He s very well dressed, thought Clarissa; yet he always criticises me...Here she is mending her dress;
mending her dress as usual, he thought; here she s been sitting all the time I ve been in India; mending
her dress; playing about; going to parties; running to the House and back and all that, he thought,
growing more and more irritated, more and more agitated. (41) The shift in point of view from
Clarissa s to Peter s emphasizes how separate and disconnected their lives have become, which
perfectly contrasts with the way in which both the characters inner thoughts are smoothly intertwined.
Clarissa is usually

Piaget Vs Vygotsky
From the beginning of time and still to present day, people have always been curious as to how we
develop from little tiny helpless humans into the fully functioning members of society. Two
psychologists, Piaget and Vygotsky, developed different theories about cognitive and language
development. Piaget s theory says that children try to understand the world around them in different
phases as they grow. As children, they want to make sense of everything that is going on around them.
Piaget says that there are four stages of cognitive development that we go through as we age; sensory
motor period, pre operational period, concrete operational period, and finally the formal operational
theory. According to Piaget, we should be through all of these ... Show more content on

The first one being that his research was biased. He only used a very small sample of children to
complete the study, and he also used his own kids in his experiments (Cherry, 2017). Piaget also did
not take into account what children are capable of. He often asked the children too difficult of
questions and/or made them very confusing for children to understand. Piaget also did not realize that
many people never reach the final stage (formal operational period), he stated that we should all reach
that stage between age 11 and adulthood (Kail, 2016). He also thought that the social environment and
culture that someone is raised in did not affect the cognitive and language development of a child, this
is a big weakness since he did not explore all options for why we develop the way we do. Piaget was
also flawed in thinking that language comes after thought, when most other psychologists think
development is a combination of both. Piaget said that developing thought was more important than
developing language, which caused his findings to be skewed and biased (McLeod,

Dna Profiling Research Paper
Indeed DNA profiling has rapidly transform the field of forensics. DNA profiling is the scientific
analysis of evidence for crime scene investigation and other legal proceedings. DNA profiling is
mostly used by forensic scientists and crime lab technicians. To identify criminals and victims using
trace evidence like hair or skin samples. To produce a DNA profile, scientists compare sequences in
the genome that vary from person to person. The typical steps in DNA profiling are DNA samples are
isolated from the crime scene, suspect, victims, or other evidence. The next selected sequences from
each DNA sample are amplified (copied many times) to produce a large sample of DNA fragments.
Finally the amplified DNA regions are compared using a gel. All together, these steps provide data
about which samples are from the same individual and which sample is unique.
DNA profiling can also be used to compare the DNA of a mother, her child, and the purported father
can settle a question of paternity. An example is when DNA profiling proved that Thomas Jefferson or

The As A Ground For Divorce
IMPOTENCY AS A GROUND FOR DIVORCE
Abstract
Introduction
Marriages are considered to be very pure bonding of a man and a woman. The concept of marriage has
evolved for a very long time and no one can deny that it is the most mandatory ceremony that humans
need to perform for the growth of human civilization. According to the one of the oldest religion of
earth i.e., Hinduism , marriages are a sacred relationship of two opposite sexes. In religious texts of
Hindu s it is even mentioned that the bond of marriages are decided by God and no one has the right to
break that bond, etc. But for the individual s right , when two people who are tied in the bond of
marriage are not able to further continue the relationship then they are provided with a few remedies
under law to get out. The term Divorce legally means: The legal separation of man and wife, effected,
for cause, by the judgment of a court, and either totally dissolving the marriage relation, or suspending
its effects so far as concerns the cohabitation of the parties.
If anyone of the partners is facing problems in continuing the marriage then he/she can file a decree
for divorce and if the court feels correct then the demand of divorce will be granted. There are many
legal grounds on which ,a decree of divorce can be passed, such as adultery, child marriage, cruelty,
marital rape, fraud, bigamy(not in muslims), desertion, etc. One of the ground for divorce under
various statutes of law is Impotency . Under the

which needs to be undertaken for them to excel. IBM needs to recapture their previously held
powerful position in the personal computer and microprocessor markets and regain value in the

The first alternative addresses the organizational structure which best responds to the challenges faced
while the second alternative attempts to garner IBM s internal resources and external market
connections to better address the complexity of the personal computer environment and thus return
IBM to its prior strength.
Alternative A: Organic Structure (internal focus on environmental considerations)
To answer the many external environmental factors affecting IBM s personal computer business they
must raise structural complexity and decentralize decision making through increasing the number of
departments and personnel which individually address such boundary spanning environmental points
as pricing, customer representation, and new technologies. Human resources must be effectively
utilized as key personnel must be recruited both quickly in the transformation and in the future.
A less hierarchical organizational approach will allow for relevant information flow between
departments through the use of design tools such as taskforces and committees which can provide vital
information to decision makers who can quickly react to the changing environmental demands. The
enhancement of useful environmental information will aid in more accurate planning and market
forecasting which can strengthen IBM s

federal revenue is the tax that corporations must pay on their profits they receive. There s three
categories that taxes go into. Progressive, proportional and regressive. Progressive tax, is where that
tax rate will increase as their income increases. Progressive tax is what the federal income tax is.
Proportional tax is where it has a consistent tax rate, no matter what the income. Regressive tax is a
small percentage of that person s income that you earn goes up. An example of regressive is sales tax.
Through the years, federal spending has increased. The budget process must be removed. In 1921
Congress passed a law that the budget process must be more formal. After this, the President was
required to send a budget every year.
Local and State government must also help to prepare for the budgets. All state governments have a
law that they cannot spend more than they receive except for the state of Vermont. Local government
must do a similar thing, they must limit themselves on spending so it to, will not exceed revenues.
Intergovernmental revenue is the

Colonization Of The British Colonies
Soon after the discovery of the Americas in 1492, various European powers raced to colonize the New
World in order to accumulate more wealth, become a global power, and spread religion. The four most
powerful and prominent empires that colonized the Americas were the Spanish, British, Dutch, and
French. The British colonies attracted far more immigrants than the others because the British colonies
were allowed freedom of religion as compared to the strictly Catholic French, the Spanish poor
relations with the native population, and the Dutch colony quickly eroded because of poor
government. The Dutch colony found in present day New York failed and was easily conquered by the
British in 1664 because the living and economic conditions were poor compared to British colonies.
Unlike the British colonies, the New Netherlands were not a major part of the Dutch colonial empire.
The New Netherlands was used primarily for fur trade. The Dutch colonies could offer settlers
freedom of religion, and the right to self govern. However, around the time that the British took
control of the Dutch colony, most of the residents had grievances about living there. One of the leaders
of the community, Adriaen Van Der Donck described their colony to be in ruin because of the poor
government. Their trade was greatly restricted to the point which there was almost no market at all,
and the majority of the settlers had grown tired of the inclusivity of the Dutch colony because many of
them had

Cuban Socioeconomics In Cuba
In 1959, Fidel Castro seized control of Cuba and the country turned from dictatorship to a communist
state. The Cuban socioeconomics follow that of other Communist cultures for example the Soviet
Union, where the government is in control all parts of its citizen s way of life. In most recent years,
Raul Castro has setup many reforms that benefit the people. The reforms are:
1. Removal of internal restrictions on the movement of people and goods within Cuba. As things
currently stand, people within Cuba are not allowed to freely trade goods and products from one
province to another. These restrictions distort prices and increase costs for average citizens. A coffee
grower in the mountains of Eastern Cuba should be able to sell his product in the streets of Havana.
2. Removal of draconian import and export restrictions and tariffs. The state currently holds a
monopoly on foreign trade in the island and Cubans who want to start their own businesses are
prohibited from freely buying and selling goods with buyers and sellers outside the country. This
increases costs, contributes to scarcity of goods, and restricts economic growth.
3. Removal of all restrictions on Cubans ability to work privately and to form their own businesses

The removal of the ban against political parties that are not the Communist Party of Cuba. The motto
of the Cuban Revolution is Everything within the Revolution, nothing outside of it. A truly free and
plural society has many voices. These voices are sometimes directly at odds with each other. There are
workers, there are peasants, there are capitalists, there are merchants, there are entrepreneurs, there are
social activists, there are communists, there are anarchists, there are conservatives and there are
liberals free societies are a complex agglomeration of different people all trying to speak at once. Our
government should be a reflection of the will of an entire nation not of one single political

The Theme Of Perspective In The Restaurant At The End Of...
The book The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams follows the theme of
perspective. All throughout the book, the main characters toy with the fact of just how large the
universe is, and that their lives are pretty obsolete. As first shown in Chapter 10, the Total Perspective
Vortex, a torture device, shows The Universe, the whole infinite Universe. The infinite suns, the
infinite distances between them and yourself an invisible dot on an invisible dot, infinitely small . This
machine shows yourself compared to the entire universe and just how tiny we really are. Another way
this theme is portrayed is by the way people react to supposed big things . The protagonists find
themselves at Milliways, the restaurant at the end

Essay about Hindenburg
Hindenburg
Within seconds, 35 people were dead and many fled for their lives. This was the case with the
Hindenburg catastrophe. The three most significant topics that are of significance in this tragedy will
be about the arrival , the escaping and confusion as the ship ignited, and the statistical fact upon
Hindenburgs inflation with hydrogen. The first important focus on the Hindenburg tragedy is the
arrival in
Lakehurst, New Jersey. Commander Rosendahl, who was head commander of the ship s arrival, was
an anxious man the day of his ship s arrival. He frequently paced his spartan office that day hoping to
see his airship safely moored to the mast and passengers disembarked unharmed. ... Show more

From the arrival, the next focal point is the tragic explosions and the escape of the passengers aboard
the Hindenburg airship. The first explosion occurred approximately four minutes after the first bow
rope had dropped to the field.
Rosendahl remembered this moment and exclaimed, It seemed as if the whole world was holding its
breath. One heard no command, no call, no cry. (Archbold, 181) A man by the name of Helmut Lau,
was walking on a catwalk keeping an eye on the mooring cable when he heard a muffled detonation.
He thought the combustion originated near the center of the cell by a walkway, but everything
happened so fast he couldn t be sure. Another cell men by the name of Hans Freund was closest to the
faint explosion as it occurred, yet his back was turned and had no clue where the fire actually started.
As the Hindenburg, which was inflated with hydrogen, was being engulfed with flames the head
captain ,Max Pruss, was at the head of the ship with other captains and none of the officers yet
understood what was happening. Seconds later however,
Captain Sammt, who was leaning out a port window along with Pruss remarked,
The ship s on fire! (Archbold,183) The ground crew retreated as the fire roared toward the bow as

Epigenetic Modifications
As of late there has been more of a focus on the Epigenetics component of mental illness.
Due to this being a relatively new science, most of this is based on hypotheticals and hope.
Part of this is due to evidence that epigenetic modifications are sensitive to environmental change.
Some people (5) are taking note of the epigenome of healthy cell types to obtain reference epigenomes
using high density genome wide next generation sequence analysis . (6) Some think that the growing
amount of information given by epigenetic sequencing will lead to new clues as to the cause and how
to treat mental illnesses. Studies have pointed to several associations with depression, schizophrenia
and bipolar depression. This has yielded some interesting results, yet they are not always reproducible.
Due to this, it is unclear whether epigenetic association studies in mental illness would be more
productive. And then it gets complicated. When testing, large sample sets we come across problems
that detract from reliability, such as the use of control groups that have been screened for lack of

Despite what the light switch metaphor would have many people believe, individual DNA methylation
sites are usually partially methylated. This means that there are multiple sequences from the same cell
type or tissue preparation that must be run to estimate the percentage of methylated nucleotides.
Another limitation of epigenetics is the cell and tissue specificity of DNA methylation. Epigenetic
modifications are extremely variable and depend on cell type, differentiation state and hormonal and
environmental conditions. Every individual neuron could have different patterns of DNA methylation
or histone modification in their genome. Because of this, the value of determining a reference cell
epigenome is only usable sometimes. Especially for neuron cells due to their inherent

  • 2. A Zombie Apocalypse In the event of a zombie apocalypse everything in this world would change. Society will not be the same, the norms society once had will be different. Governments would like to establish social control but the environment would be too chaotic to control. A survival mode would be establish by everybody, everybody would be by themselves, and only protect their own. Resources would be the new currency, because paper money would no longer have value, but a resources will. Governments would like to establish social order, but the people would not trust the government anymore. Deviance will not have meaning; everything will be acceptable in order to survive in the zombie apocalypse. Stealing, murdering, assassinating, fighting, and total disaster is expected from this environment. If an individual needs food for its family and goes to the supermarket, and he is denied the food, that individual will be fighting to get food for its family. Law enforcement would be trying to enforce the law but they too will be in trouble. An individual needing something in order to survive would kill anybody, including a law enforcement officer. Police would realize that their life is in danger and stop serving the government, if this happens who would enforce order? This would be the start of a chaotic environment. The wealthy would try to buy resources or services but their paper backed money will no longer be accepted why? Because there would be no government establishing order or a system, ... • 3. Give Me Death Rhetorical Analysis Essay Virginian politician Patrick Henry, like many of the founding fathers, was concerned by England s actions preceding the Revolutionary War and decided to voice this concern in arguably one of the most critical speeches in political history, Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death . Henry used his political passion and voice to convince the powerful politicians at the Second Virginia Convention that England was violating its citizen s rights, and if specific measures were not taken, like forming a militia, the colonies would face imminent danger. Henry s speech was so successful because he crafted it specifically with his audience in mind. His knowledge of the distinguished men strengthened his speech because he knew what rhetorical technique would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To appeal to them emotionally, he focuses on their pride, something people tend to care highly about. He likens England s grip on the colonists to slavery, There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! , to make his audience think about how powerless they are to England in that moment. He implies that England is taking away what they believe should be their free will to govern on their own behalf (Henry 2). No one wishes to relinquish control of his own life and turn it over to someone else and therefore this becomes a matter of pride. He urges the men not to allow their voices to be silences by any form of government. By exclaiming [the chains] clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston he notes that England is making a public mockery of the colonists, and the whole country will be aware of their failure if they refuse to stand up for themselves. He again speaks to the men s pride when he notes They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary (Henry 2). He knows the men do not want to appear as such to the people who trust them to lead, and in making this point he is urging the men to find their inner voice and rise up to reclaim their power against the tyrannical English ... • 4. Research Paper On The Hippocampus The hippocampus is part of the Limbic System (Wright, n.d.). According to Wright, the hippocampus formation is found in the temporal lobe of the brain. The study of the hippocampus is vital in understanding how it governs human behaviors. As perceived, the brain is a complex machine and through understanding its crucial parts in the processing of information would give a clear understanding and precautions to people on how to protect their brain from memory loss and other similar diseases. In addition, Wright explained that the hippocampus is directly linked to the entorhinal cortex and the fornix. That is to say that the output pathways of hippocampus passed directly to the entorhinal cortex and the fornix before reaching other anterior structures. What is more, not only do outputs coming from hippocampus are passed through the entorhinal cortex, but both parts are also directly connected to one another which includes the amyglada (Wright, n.d). Why is this part of the study? As elaborated by Wright, both entorhinal cortex and amyglada are structures that are connected to several parts of the brain. Thereby, all areas of the brain that are connected to aforesaid structures could be affected by hippocampus. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Effects Of Decolonization Of Burma Alexey Skyban (14201708) Intro International Politics 13 October 2014 Unwillingness to do what is Right Decolonization after 1945 undoubtedly caused more harm than good. Inevitably, colonized countries across the globe would have eventually requested sovereignty. Today, many decolonized countries are beginning to prosper and flourish; however, their path to such a state was long and challenging. The fluke in decolonization was not that it happened, but the way it did. Only concerned with self interest and prosperity domestically, European Empires were blinded to the consequences of abandoning their colonies without any guidance or support. Poor decolonization of Burma resulted in widespread oppression, downfall of the economy, and violation of human rights. Britain left Burma with a very weak government unable to control its own country. As a result, the democratic government was overthrown and a ruthless tyrant rose to power. In fact your paid so low for your product that you have to choose between taking care of your family or taking care of your crop for next year. Now implant FairTrade into the mix and you will see a happy farmer getting paid higher prices. Over the course of this paper we will be discussing FairTrade. What it is and how it works while also covering negatives and positives to the FairTrade experience, starting with. So what is FairTrade and how does it work? FairTrade started out as the Alternative Trade Organization back in the 1950s. Essentially they worked to cut out the middle man which meant more money to the farmer. An analysis of Bӓumer s attitude toward the war reveals that the world of his former authority no longer exists. His first encounters on the front shatter his trust and belief in the views and teachings of the generation that should have been their mentors, directing this inexperienced Iron Youth (18) into the world and preparing him for what would have been his future life. Now, Bӓumer realizes that, if he survives the war, he can never return to ideas or desires of his youth nor ever truly re enter into the lives that the generations before and after him belong. The older generations, consisting of Bӓumer s parents and teachers, receive the war with a joyous enthusiasm of a chance to display German might and honor, though no one had an idea of what the soldiers, their children, would have to endure. They, especially Bӓumer s teacher Kantorek, took every possibility to persuasively impress this patriotic idea upon the younger generation: that duty to one s country is the greatest thing (13). The main advantage of this technique is that cancellous bone can be exam¬ined separately from cortical bone (30). In particular, in QCT a thin transverse slice through the body is imaged: the image can be segmented to give a quantitative mea¬sure of volumetric BMD (unlike DXA) of vertebrae, as¬sessing the cancellous bone independently of surround¬ing cortical bone and possible aortic calcifications (31). QCT can be performed to the spine (usually two to four vertebrae between T12 and L4 inclusive) on conven¬tional whole body CT scanners, or to the appendicular skeleton at peripheral sites (radius, tibia) using smaller, less expensive, dedicated peripheral CT scanners (pQCT). First, it has been shown that BMD values depend on the bone marrow composi¬tion: this factor could provide an underestimation of bone mineral content values. Second, the radiation dose induced by a QCT scan of a hip is significantly higher than that of DXA (1 mSv vs 10 μSv), which limits the applicability of the technique not only for screening but also for standard diagnostics (36). In addition, this technique has difficulties with quality control, high cost compared with DXA, necessity of well trained technicians for scan execution (37). For the clinical use of QCT and pQCT in the man¬agement of osteoporosis, the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) published its official posi¬tion in 2008 stating that QCT of spine and pQCT of radius predict vertebral and hip fractures, respectively, in post menopausal women ... • 21. Climate Change And Climate Adaptation One of the most challenging global issue facing today s society is climate change, it is affecting all regions across the globe, with some areas experiencing extreme weather events and heavy rainfall, whereas other regions are hit with droughts and heat waves. Climate change can be defined as a large scale, long term shift in the planet s weather patterns or average temperatures. (metoffice). Consequently, a range of challenges are occurring to not only human settlements, but more importantly to the natural environment as well. It is becoming increasingly important for countries across the globe to attempt to adapt and mitigate from the effects of climate change. Climate mitigation is any action taken to permanently eliminate or reduce the long term risk and hazards of climate change to human life, property. (Global greenhouse warming.com). It can include enhancing the sinks of greenhouse gases, as well as reducing the sources. Whereas climate adaptation, is referring to the ability of a system to adjust to climate change (including climate variability and extremes) to moderate potential damage, to take advantage of opportunities, or to cope with the consequences. (Global greenhouse warming.com). Adaptation can include improving road infrastructure, so it would be able to withstand hotter temperatures, or just simply change in behaviour shifts such as using less water. These two methods are essential and can be connected through strategic town planning, and can be used to tackle climate change, through an array of implementations which will not only prepare the globe, but also reduce the impacts of climate change. Urban areas not only have a profound part in contributing to climate change, but these areas have also become extremely vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, as more than half of the world s population are living in urban areas and global rate of urbanisation is evermore increasing. The British started to tax the colonist on different kinds of items, which was not fair to the colonists. They were controlling the colonist with everything they did. The colonists wanted them to back off a little but the British weren t budging. But if they say they are a famous hypnotist, who has traveled the world changing lives, and who can hypnotize the audience in 1 minute, almost 90% of the people will already be in hypnosis, according to self hypnosis. The last type of hypnosis I will be talking about, which to me is the most intriguing form of hypnotherapy, is past life regression. This technique helps practitioners uncover memories of their past lives. By uncovering these memories, you are able to find out why you are the way you are. If you are having trouble in your current life that has no direct cause, the goal is to find out the root cause of the issue from your past life or incarnation. Whether you are strictly religious or not, past life regression helps you gain an awareness that you are more than just a physical body. Despite coming from seemingly opposing worlds, the subtle transition establishes the interconnectedness between the two characters almost as if though they are one person or entity. A second significant transition occurs when Peter Walsh, a former love of Clarissa s, pays an unexpected visit to Clarissa the same morning. Here we get a sense of their feelings and thoughts towards each other, and learn that the togetherness they once had, has been lost: He s very well dressed, thought Clarissa; yet he always criticises me...Here she is mending her dress; mending her dress as usual, he thought; here she s been sitting all the time I ve been in India; mending her dress; playing about; going to parties; running to the House and back and all that, he thought, growing more and more irritated, more and more agitated. Piaget Vs Vygotsky From the beginning of time and still to present day, people have always been curious as to how we develop from little tiny helpless humans into the fully functioning members of society. Two psychologists, Piaget and Vygotsky, developed different theories about cognitive and language development. Piaget s theory says that children try to understand the world around them in different phases as they grow. As children, they want to make sense of everything that is going on around them. Piaget says that there are four stages of cognitive development that we go through as we age; sensory motor period, pre operational period, concrete operational period, and finally the formal operational theory. Piaget also did not realize that many people never reach the final stage (formal operational period), he stated that we should all reach that stage between age 11 and adulthood (Kail, 2016). He also thought that the social environment and culture that someone is raised in did not affect the cognitive and language development of a child, this is a big weakness since he did not explore all options for why we develop the way we do. Piaget was also flawed in thinking that language comes after thought, when most other psychologists think development is a combination of both. Piaget said that developing thought was more important than developing language, which caused his findings to be skewed and biased (McLeod, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

DNA profiling is the scientific analysis of evidence for crime scene investigation and other legal proceedings. DNA profiling is mostly used by forensic scientists and crime lab technicians. To identify criminals and victims using trace evidence like hair or skin samples. To produce a DNA profile, scientists compare sequences in the genome that vary from person to person. The typical steps in DNA profiling are DNA samples are isolated from the crime scene, suspect, victims, or other evidence. The next selected sequences from each DNA sample are amplified (copied many times) to produce a large sample of DNA fragments. Finally the amplified DNA regions are compared using a gel. All together, these steps provide data about which samples are from the same individual and which sample is unique. DNA profiling can also be used to compare the DNA of a mother, her child, and the purported father can settle a question of paternity. The concept of marriage has evolved for a very long time and no one can deny that it is the most mandatory ceremony that humans need to perform for the growth of human civilization. According to the one of the oldest religion of earth i.e., Hinduism , marriages are a sacred relationship of two opposite sexes. In religious texts of Hindu s it is even mentioned that the bond of marriages are decided by God and no one has the right to break that bond, etc. But for the individual s right , when two people who are tied in the bond of marriage are not able to further continue the relationship then they are provided with a few remedies under law to get out. Colonization Of The British Colonies Soon after the discovery of the Americas in 1492, various European powers raced to colonize the New World in order to accumulate more wealth, become a global power, and spread religion. The four most powerful and prominent empires that colonized the Americas were the Spanish, British, Dutch, and French. The British colonies attracted far more immigrants than the others because the British colonies were allowed freedom of religion as compared to the strictly Catholic French, the Spanish poor relations with the native population, and the Dutch colony quickly eroded because of poor government. The Dutch colony found in present day New York failed and was easily conquered by the British in 1664 because the living and economic conditions were poor compared to British colonies. Unlike the British colonies, the New Netherlands were not a major part of the Dutch colonial empire. The New Netherlands was used primarily for fur trade. The Dutch colonies could offer settlers freedom of religion, and the right to self govern. However, around the time that the British took control of the Dutch colony, most of the residents had grievances about living there. One of the leaders of the community, Adriaen Van Der Donck described their colony to be in ruin because of the poor government. Some people (5) are taking note of the epigenome of healthy cell types to obtain reference epigenomes using high density genome wide next generation sequence analysis . (6) Some think that the growing amount of information given by epigenetic sequencing will lead to new clues as to the cause and how to treat mental illnesses. Studies have pointed to several associations with depression, schizophrenia and bipolar depression. This has yielded some interesting results, yet they are not always reproducible. Due to this, it is unclear whether epigenetic association studies in mental illness would be more productive. And then it gets complicated.
