The Complex Causes Of The Great War
The Great War is a very complex historical period. This war was based on alliances, new
techniques of war, fronts of combat. The causes of the conflict come from a long time ago, in order
to understand why the happened one must study the context, the background, and the conflicts
between the countries who were implied in this war.
The end of the 19th century was marked by an era in which the great European powers were on
expansive missions, in the conquest of new lands. Colonialism exacerbated the struggle between
European industrial powers in search of territories and markets. Imperialism caused the friction
between the powers to overflow the European framework and take place practically anywhere in
the world. Colonialism and imperialism sharpened ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, the Ottoman Empire joined the Central Powers. The Entente Cordiale or the
Allies were: France, Russia, Great Britain, Italy, Japan and the United States, and 22 other countries.
Later, the Central Powers were: Austria Hungary, Germany, the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria.
In 1915 and 1916, German submarines sank two ships with American crew, killing dozens of
civilians. So in April 1917, the United States entered the conflict in support of the Allies. Months
later, Russia (in the middle of the Bolshevik Revolution), withdraws from the war by signing an
armistice with the Central Powers, which implies great economic and territorial losses.
The first World War is considered one of the most bloodthirsty of the story died about 20 million
people. Although the United States, which has been present in almost all warlike conflicts in
modern history since World War I, did not have a prominent participation in the First World War, in
fact the total casualties of the US Army are codified in Around 115,000, with hardly any
documented civilian casualties. This lost represent a very large chunk of the world s population back

Pros And Cons Of Congressional Term Limits
Term limits are a powerful political force and a vital political reform. The movement to limit
political terms and thus political power has been steamrolling through American politics for years.
Many American citizens have approved term limits for Congressmen, moreover many states and
hundreds of cities and counties across the United States have adopted term limits for state and local
officials. Such widespread support of the phenomena shows that the public is not satisfied with the
prevalent careerism and thinks that amendments to the federal legislature would be beneficial for
the Congress and the country as a whole. The below paper will present objective political
arguments for and against the Congressional term limits. Firstly, the arguments for the term limits
will be presented, the arguments against them will proceed, followed by the conclusion drawn by
the author based on the conducted research. There are several arguments that speak for
Congressional term limits. To begin with, term limits were contained in America s first governing
document, the Articles of Confederation. Back then in the eighteenth century this tool was chosen
by the founding fathers to avoid long term political careerism and the abuse of the power
legislators hold. Following this statement it becomes clear that term limits are needed at all levels
of government, however it is especially vital to apply them to Congress for numerous reasons,
some of them being large electoral advantages exercised by

Maximilien Robespierre, Leader of the French Revolution
Europe cannot conceive of life without Kings and nobles; and we cannot conceive of it with them.
Europe is lavishing her blood to preserve her chains, whereas we are lavishing ours to destroy
them (Maximilien Robespierre). For centuries upon centuries, the monarchal system had dominated
European life. The very nature of this method of rule incited rebellious feelings, as a definite
imbalance of power was present. Understandably, people under this system had risen against
authority. The glorious nation of France was no exception. The eighteenth century brought about a
great deal of economic and social turmoil. By the end of this one hundred year period, rebellion
had been talked about by many citizens for quite some time. However,... Show more content on

The personal rebellions of Maximilien Robespierre took many forms, as did those of the French
Revolution, but no specific act of rebellion is perhaps best remembered by history or best associated
with his hand than the execution of the oppressive Monarchy itself. The main problem in France at
the time of the French Revolution was money management. The monarchy was wasting funds on
exorbitant palaces and individual pleasures. They also invested a ton of money into the American
Revolution, money that they had not yet gotten back. These managerial mishaps of the Monarchy
manifested themselves in such forms as utter and widespread destitution among the people, and
starvation among the least fortunate of the country s inhabitants. In some cases, the repair of the
economy would have been trusted to the ruling classes to fix, but Robespierre, along with many
others, realized that nothing would change unless a change in leadership accompanied it. The
feelings of many were embodied by this conclusion delivered by Robespierre in the National
Assembly: It is with regret that I pronounce a fatal truth: Louis ought to perish rather than a
hundred thousand virtuous citizens; Louis must die that the country may live (Maximilien
Robespierre). It so passed that French

Summary Of That Hideous Strength
That Hideous Strength That Hideous Strength written by C. S. Lewis was first published in
1945. The story takes place after the end of World War II in the country of England in the make
believe city of Edgestow, and the Institute of Belbury. Mark Studdock a professor at Bracton
College in the University of Edgestow is holding a relatively high position in the college, when
another member named Feverstone influences him into joining a suspicious organization called
N.I C.E. Also his wife Jane Studdock has been having odd dreams. There are a few chief

The Evil Power in the book was controlled by the devil, who had a Hideous Strength. The book
built up tension and power throughout the plot, which was all released at the end when God
sent his wrath on the evil sinners of the world. This is a picture of the world nowadays. Sinners
are thriving and Evil is growing. Everything is so crooked and backwards, that the Good might
begin to lose hope. However it has always been Gods will for the Good to win, and so it will. In
this book I can relate to Mark Studdock. I am a wicked sinner like him and I fall into the
blinding temptation all the time, just like when Mark was tempted to joining N.I.C.E. God has
come in, however, and lifted me out of my sin, as he did for Mark during his custody at Belbury.
Those shades have been dropped off of my eyes, and I can clearly see the power, glory, and
terror of God. In Romans 12:17, the Bible says Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil
with good. The Bible also says, Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether
they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know
the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3
and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this
is the spirit of the Antichrist,

The Value Of Societal Order In The Crucible By Arthur Miller
Societal order entails an organized structure of rules and practices in a society intended to
preserve the life and safety of its citizens. Individual freedom refers to the ability of an individual
to speak or behave as one pleases within the law without being discriminated or attacked for one s
words or actions. Under most circumstances, these two values of societal order and individual
freedom can co exist hand in hand without difficulty. However, sometimes a dilemma will arise
when these two values come into conflict, and one value must be chosen while the other is
sacrificed. We see this pattern many times over the course of history, even today. More often than
not, individual freedom is sacrificed to maintain societal order. Arthur Miller s The Crucible
illustrates this viewpoint by his example of the Salem witch trials of the late 17th... Show more

The witch trials began with the accusation of several girls for practicing witchcraft. During the
trial, they shift the blame of their actions onto witchcraft itself, or the witch archetype, claiming
that they were being controlled against their will. This creates a fear of witches in Salem,
inspiring the famed witch hunt. The sacrifice of the witches occurred to ensure the societal
order and the safety of the rest of the town, even if many who were accused of being witches
were actually innocent. Miller argues a valid point, that when one must choose between societal
order and freedom, it is the freedom of some individuals or groups that will usually be repressed.
This conflict and the sacrifice of personal freedom persists even in the 21st century, as we
continue to see similar cases in which groups of people have their freedom sacrificed for the sake

Necessary health care in America
Finding issues with in the American healthcare system is not a very difficult task. But figuring
out how these problems came about takes us on another road through the history of the American
healthcare system, and allows us to see how we got to our current system. A few things we will
be looking at what are some of the most disruptive problems in Americas system, hat other
countries do that make their health care system work well, and what are some of the things that
we can do to help make out health care system more available, and affordable to everyone. To start

I think that it would help break America s unbelievable inequality amongst our societies as well.
The overall coverage of the German health care system is very extensive and makes sure that
their people are taken care of. The next country we have to look at when thinking about great
health care and where to take notes from is, japan. Japan s health care system is very cheap and
service is very fast, but the down side to this is the hospitals are in financial deficit because the
cost of everything is so low. But with a little spike in cost will help prevent the closing and
keeping the hospitals from going broke. The health care system in America in my opinion has
the potential to change for the better. The affirmative care act is a good step forward. But it is
not enough yet. If we can figure out a plan in which we can incorporate a few ideas from other
countries that are doing well in terms of their health care. I believe that if we can adopt a few
aspects from the German health care system, such as the rich and healthy pay for the sick and
poor, and the idea behind that if a person is to lose their job, they can keep their health insurance.
These ideas will make the affordable and availability of health insurance is much

The Kikuyu Tribe of Kenya and the Oath-Taking Process
The Kikuyu tribe and the oath taking process Abstract: This paper discuses in regard to the
Kikuyu people in Kenya and concerning their tendency to do everything in their power to respect
oaths that they take. The oath taking process typically lasts for very long and makes it mandatory
for individuals who experience it to focus on acting in accordance with the cause that they join.
Paper: Kenya is widely known for its witchcraft practices and for the fact that its inhabitants are
particularly superstitious. Belief in witchcraft is normally encountered in Kenya in critical times
when individuals are unable to recover from the crisis that they are in by relying on conventional
institutions. This makes it possible for people to look for solutions in less normal places and it
encourages witches to continue to perform rituals that are presumably meant to directly affect
society. Even with the fact that many of these rituals are immoral in character and especially
illogical, many Kenyans continue to perform them and to believe that they are probable to
guarantee the wellbeing of their community. Murder rituals performed by individuals belonging to
the Mau Mau community often happen across Kenya and stand as an example regarding how
tradition can actually reflect negatively on a peoples. Although Kenya is a multicultural nation, the
fact that the Kikuyu tribe holds a numeric advantage over other groups makes it possible for this
people to be able to impose their authority

Compare And Contrast Middle Colony And New England Colonies
Upon the settlement of Jamestown in the 17th century the British Colonies of the East Coast were
divided into three distinct areas; New England, the Middle Colony, and the Southern Colony. While
the three regions had comparable similarities, their differences were more noted. When the first
colonies were founded, it was due to pilgrims wanting religious freedom, and countries striving for
move power, riches, and a name. The southernmost colonies were founded when wealthy leaders
expanded looking for land ownership and more power.
While all the colonies were ran by a democratic government, each individual region had a different
spin on it. The Middle Colony separated the church from the government laws, while New England
believed the Church should have supreme ruling in all things government related; and the Southern
Colonies were ruled by the wealthy, as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Nature Vs. Nurture
Scientists have been investigating about genetic inheritance and its influence on behavior in
humans. A gene is the unit of heredity that is passed on from parent to offspring. These
investigations have been conducted because there has been a lot of debate about whether human
behavior is more influenced by geneticsor the environment. This debate is also called Nature Vs.
Nurture . Although there is a clear correlation between genetics and behavior, genetic inheritance
only has a partial influence due to the environmental factors that also play a role in shaping
behavior. This statement can be supported by correlational studies that have been performed by
numerous scientists over many years. Correlational studies are used to investigate if two variables
have a relationship with each other, without actually knowing if one causes the other. Scientists
use twin and adoption cases for the correlational study of genes and environment with behavior as
it allows specific variables to be tested. For example, since twins share the same genetic
information, analyzing pairs of twins when they are in different environments helps scientists
record a correlation between genes and environment with behavior. Adoptive studies also help see
if different environments have a bigger influence than genes on behavior by comparing a child s
behavior with with their biological and adoptive parents . The Minnesota Twin Study of 1990 was
conducted by Bouchard to investigate if genetics and

Write An Essay On The Great Gatsby
And then, a bold English naturalist and geologist dares disturb the peace by publishing a 502 page
piece of scientific literature that introduces us to the scientific theory of evolution through natural
selection. The culprit s name is Charles Darwin, the book in question is titled On The Origin of
Species, and some people see this as an attempt at proving that God does not exist.
On The Origin of Species was as controversial in 1859 as Galileo Galilei s heliocentric theory
was in 1615, and for much the same reason: it threatened the authority of the church by
challenging religious views that were set in stone. Darwin s work was as accepted as it was
detracted, though Darwin didn t come under as much heat as the authors of other historically
contentious works. It generated much discussion in the areas of science, religion, and
philosophy; it forced Darwin to make enemies and friends; it is now seen as a seminal work in
the field of evolutionary biology. On The Origin of Species is a piece of literature that inarguably
shaped history. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD)
Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD) is a condition that people have when there is difficulty
initiating or doing projects on their own, making everyday decisions without advice, and
expressing disagreements (Gore and Pincus, 2013, p. 163). They are uncomfortable and feel
helpless when alone and are preoccupied with fears of being left to care for themselves.
Therefore, these people go to extreme lengths to obtain the nurturance needed and support from
others, and give responsibility for major areas of their lives to others (Gore and Pincus, 2013, p.
163). They urgently seek another relationship as a source of care and support when a close
relationship ends. The core element of this disorder appears to be a view of the self as helpless and

Reading Philosophy
In order for a child to excel in school they need to be well versed in reading therefore; I believe
that it is vital for all children to learn to read. Not only should reading be a fun and enjoyable
experience but something that influences the child to succeed in all subject areas. Reading is an
integral part of life that needs to be mastered. A child can master the basics of reading in the early
years and should be learned at that time due to the aggravation and frustration of learning those
skills later on, as he/she gets older. Although there are many children and adults alike that hate to

Pro And Negative Effects Of Islamophobia
But as we say Muslims empire was scary because it was powerful so in beginning of the eighteenth
century with the decreasing of the Ottomans power and the rapid increase of European empire
powers, Islam was not that much scary anymore and Islamophobia was disappeared gradually.
However, Islamophobia picked up again when these European powers, which were mainly
Christians, decrease again after World War II. While European countries and some of Asian ones
and USA were burning in World War II fire most of the Islamic nations being far of WW heart had
time to become industrialized and powerful in their own right. Also, improvements in healthcare
and medical facilities a sudden increase in Muslims population and migrations of those Muslims

that Islamophobia already exists is not deniable and Islamic radicals are all over the world

strategies like civil wars or hate news in media make everything even worse, in my opinion, this
time, its west who should learn from the east. Instead of being afraid of Muslims and Islam west
should try to learn about Islamic cultures and show respect to it while accepting it differences.
Also, it will be so effective if western society shows they are putting difference between radical

Marijuana Side Effects
Perhaps more so than with any other illegal drug, side effects resulting from marijuana use can
vary widely. What side effects are felt is chiefly determined by the user s tolerance to
tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the active ingredient of marijuana plants. As with many other
mind altering drugs, a user s state of mind before using the drug plays a large part in the quality
of the experience, as well as what side effects are experienced. Side Effects in the Short Term
People who use marijuana do so chiefly to experience a change in their perception, increase their

Respiratory problems may arise from continued use as well as the usual coughing and wheezing

When a person has been using marijuana regularly over an extended period of time, many
changes in mood and in some cases, mental health, may take place. Short and long term memory
are both decreased with repeated usage of the drug. As tolerance to the psychoactive chemical
THC is increased, as is the amount of marijuana needed to afford the marijuana user an
acceptable high. A user s mood may be affected negatively by this need to use more drugs to get
high. After use of marijuana has been stopped, withdrawal symptoms can occur. The most
common is dissatisfaction with life while not high, resulting in a desire to consume the drug.
Trouble sleeping is another minor symptom that results from cessation of marijuana usage. Some
studies have even shown that marijuana users are more likely to develop mental health issues as
severe as psychosis as opposed to people who do not use. On the whole, it isn t smart to use

However when looking at the Grasmere and Alfoxden journals and Wordsworth s daffodils side by

The relationship between William Wordsworths I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud and Dorothy

Does the Video Overlook the Danger of Exploiting Women?
No, the video does not seem to ignore the dangers of exploiting women. In fact, it is trying to
sensitize the public on the factors that lead to teen prostitution. Although money may act as a
motivating factor, some of these girls are looking for affection and attention from the old men that
they sleep with. One of the interviewees mentions that as a single mom, her daughter constantly
had the urge of having a dad which only got worse after he started dating again (Portland s Teen

It is important that those young children have time to enjoy their youth without engaging in adult
affairs. There should instead be strict rules governing the industry, and the minimum age for the
strippers should also be increased, for instance to about 25years. Legalizing prostitution in Las
Vegas also illustrates that states do no need to be governed by any morality and everyone should
protect themselves from the harsh realities of the world. The teenagers in other states may also feel
left out, and they may choose to experiment with sex in Las Vegas.

The New City Of New York
It was not easy for Johnny to move into a new city. It was very problematic for him to move into
a new city because he knew no one, and he had no friends. The new city that Johnny moved into
was New York. It is also known as The Big Apple. That city has a population of 8.6 million
people. New York has many attractions. Examples of them are: Empire State Building, Statue
Of Liberty and Time Square. Johnny always had a dream to go to New York and see these
attractions, but he did not picture it like this. He did not imagine himself living with his family all
bored. He imagined himself partying all night, having friends and having fun. This did not happen.
Johnny had multiple problems when he came into New York. Moving in was not his only one. He
also had to face the troubles of going to a new middle school. The new schoolthat Johnny had
transferred to was Cornwall Collegiate Vocational School. It was a very big school, but very old.
The school was old because it was built in the year 1806. Johnny had a hard time fitting in because
he was getting bullied by a kid in his class. His name is Jack Foster. Jack was not an average kid.
He was much bigger and stronger than any regular kid. Jack is a 7 foot 3 humanoid . He weighs
197 pounds and is very tall. Jack is the most muscular kid in his class. Some words that will

Commentary On The Book Where The Red Fern Grows
One of my favorite things to do is read, except textbooks I don t like reading them. I like a book

the one I will share. It is called Where The Red Fern Grows. I haven t thought about or even read

Text Neck Thesis
OF TEXT NECK FROM YOUR SMARTPHONE With technology in the palm of our hands, we
are spending more time glued to our devices these days, and while phones and tablets are
convenient, they are a pain in the neck literally. That pain you feel in your neck, back, or
shoulders after staring down for a long period of time at your phone is called Text neck. The
term originated by Florida chiropractor Dr. Dean Fishman is defined as injury to the body
caused by excessive texting and overuse of all handheld electronic devices. Text neck can result
in serious health problems including flattening of the spinal curve, muscle and nerve damage,
spinal degeneration, and the onset of early arthritis. Fishman calls it an epidemic and says the
condition is impacting millions. According to a study conducted by New York spine surgeon
Kenneth Hansraj, bending your head to look at the mobile device in your hands can put up to 60
pounds of pressure on your neck. And it s not just teens who are checking their phones constantly;
most adults are also obsessed with their phones and tablets, using the devices for texting, videos,
and social media. Text neck is not just a texting problem, says Fishman. Text neck is a gaming
problem. Text neck is an emailing problem. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

continue to enjoy their smart devices, but that they pay specific attention to where their head is in

over your technology, simply move your phone or tablet higher while reading or scrolling. Another

During week three of the course, the instructor assigned Nate Couturier, Shae Foster, Edward

He agreed with the decisions that had been made in his absence, approved and signed the CPPs.
Edward Sereno never responded to any of the group posts but eventually signed the contracts.
As the project progressed, Edward remained elusive, never responding to group discussions or
emails from the team leader, but he did occasionally reply to a few emails from Shae. During the
week in which the TAR draft was due, Shae and I agreed that it was in the team s best interest to
inform the instructor of Edward s lack of participation. Only then did he begin to participate more
regularly, but still continued to miss the agreed upon timeline schedule. Because of this Nate, Shae
and I always ended up scrambling to proofread and make any necessary revisions just a few hours
before the submission deadline.
Edward was responsible for the abstract, introduction and conclusion sections of the report. His
contributions revealed a lack of research and were completed at the last minute. As the time
management expert, he failed this duty. For any future team projects that Edward might be
involved in, I would suggest that he adequately research the topic, participate actively in group
discussions and make the necessary personal schedule changes to stay on schedule with the agreed
upon timeline.
Nate Couturier was absent during the first week of the project, but as I explained earlier, he had an
acceptable reason for that. Going forward, he was

Nintendo History Essay
Part I Gaming Console Industry Pre Xbox
Video gaming: A Brief History
Atari pioneered the video game industry in 1971 with a title called Pong, which was sold as an
arcade game for $1,200 each. The console market did not take off until 1977, when Atari 2600
was launched (Lipson, 2009) and this became the first generation of consoles. In the videogame
industry, consoles are primarily stationary boxes , which require a monitor or television set for use.
Known as consoles or platforms, these devices are standardized computers tailored for gaming and
produced by a single firm. The term generations is meant to define chapters in the industry denoted
by a series of console launches with significant technology improvement compared to the previous

A Careful Preponderance of Goodman s Some Moral Minima
Relativism is the philosophical viewpoint that there are no actions that are innately immoral or
moral, and that the morality of actions must be measured against the individual circumstances, from
a multitude of perspectives that include the actor as well as the myriad consequences (and victims,
potentially) of such an action. After reading Lenn Goodman s Some moralminima , it becomes
fairly apparent that Goodman is far from a relativist. After a lengthy, meandering introduction in
which the author spans a variety of topics and nothing too much in particular, he posits the notion
that there are certain acts which are in and of themselves morally wrong. Specifically, the author
proposes the notion that there are four categories for such acts including genocide, terrorism,
slavery, and female genital cutting and rape. A careful preponderance of Goodman s article and the
challenges the author presents to relativism indicates that such moral requirements are actually
valid.
At the heart of the issue that Goodman presents in this article is the unifying theme that runs
concurrent through all four stratifications of immoral acts: they all, essentially, present instances in
which someone is enforcing his or her will on another, to the contrary of the volition of that other
party. Such a practice appears to be morally incorrect, as a number of deontologists (most notably
Immanuel Kant) would vociferously argue. A consideration of the four types of actions delineated

The Hobbit Analysis
In the novel, The Hobbit, the author J.R.R. Tolkien, suggests when an individual pushes themselves
to explore risk taking, they take the opportunity to grow within themselves, and test the extent of
their newfound values, which result in the character fostering a stronger sense of self identity.
Accepting the opportunity to experience risk allows the individual to push themselves, despite the
possibility of danger towards oneself. In the Hobbit, the character Bilbo demonstrates risk taking
most clearly when he attempts to steal a troll s wallet after the dwarves ordered him to investigate
a strange light coming from within the forest (pg. 35). Bilbo concludes that he must prove himself
to the dwarves. To show his capability as a burglar,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Bilbo signifies risk taking when sparing Gollum, despite the unpredictable consequences that result
from his decisions. Lastly, Bilbo demonstrates pushing himself to take risks, despite the danger, is
during when Bilbo is chosen to survey inside the Lonely Mountain, Smaug s citadel (pg. 198 201).
Bilbo understands that he must uphold his position as a burglar, and be the first to enter the
Lonely Mountain, where Smaug inhabits. When Bilbo enters Smaug s lair, is a primary example
of Bilbo s risk taking, despite the prominent danger. Bilbo exploring Smaug s stronghold is the
climax of danger during The Hobbit. During this situation, Bilbo pushes himself greatly, to
explore inside the Lonely Mountain, in order to manifest his capability as a burglar, Bilbo
surpasses his ability to take risks and discovers the extent of his risk taking abilities. He ultimately
finds greater courage within himself, as a result of pushing himself to take risks. Bilbo knows of

his risk taking skills. Therefore Bilbo takes risks by upholding his burglar responsibilities, despite

Occasionally, applicants may volunteer non job related information relating to religion, sex, marital

Labor Unions And The Labor Union
Every year in this country, there are major labor disputes that result in strikes or work stoppages.
In each case, the organization, the labor union, and the public are negatively affected. Why can t
there be a better way of resolving disputes between the management and labor unions to avert
unnecessary strikes? Why does the relationship between the labor unions and management have
to be adversarial in nature? Does anybody benefit from strikes and work stoppages? These are
some of the questions that I will explore in this study. Firstly, it will seem that the management
and the labor union of any organization have a stake in the success or failure of that organization.
The success of the organization has to be the priority or the number one goal of any member or
members of the organization. As such, the entire organization has to work as a team in order to
succeed, thrive and survive. In the real world, that is not what is happening. As a matter of fact, the
labor unions and the management of some organizations see each other as adversaries. MTA Strike

Introduction . Salt, Scientifically Referred To As Halite,
Introduction
Salt, scientifically referred to as Halite, is chemical composition of Sodium and Chlorine
minerals. It s presence in the everyday lives of individuals is incalculable; Salt is evidently
prevalent in our diet and methods used for food preservation, however, salt is surprisingly present
in other elements of our lives as significant as language. This essay will appreciate the various roles
that salt plays along with the risks that are attached to the ingestion of this particle. Additionally, this
paper will outline the history of salt with specific emphasis placed on its extraction processes, and
its influences on the English language.

The salt bed is subsequently blasted, crushed, and broken into smaller pieces which are brought
to the surface for processing and finessing. The mining of salt beds results in rock salt which is
used primarily as a highway de icer (Kostick 2004). Alternatively, mechanical evaporation occurs
through the vacuum pan process. As described in the article introduced above by Kostick (2004),
this energy conserving process begins with a salt saturated brine which is brought to a boil,
rectangular pans with steam heated immersion coils are used to facilitate the evaporation process
(Kostick, 2004). Once the evaporation occurs, rotating rakes collect the salt and the extracted
product is laid out to dry. The mechanical evaporation of salt saturated solution results in flake
shaped salt, often used for cheeses, butter, and baked goods as described in Kostick (2004).
In the same article, written by Kostick (2004), the author states that the extraction of sea salt
requires an entirely unique process called solar evaporation. Halite isn t the only mineral present in
sea water, because of this, each mineral must be separated from the water in order to extract the salt.
First, seawater is collected distributed in ponds that function to concentrate and ultimately
evaporate the minerals within the water. The brine is subsequently circulated across a multiplicity
of interconnected ponds with the salinity increasing as it transfers

Literary Analysis Of Amores Perros
Come to Clarity
Typically, photographs are considered nothing more than tangible items that invoke nostalgia.
Having a character ponder over a photo typically gives the image no more value than a McGuffin.
Alejandro GonzГЎlez IГ±ГЎrritu s Amores Perros (2000) on the other hand, asks the viewer to re
evaluate the concept of the photograph both literally and figuratively throughout the film. The
meaning of a photograph can be considered the glue on this story; the symbol is dynamic enough
to provide each character with a moment of reflection, and the audience a window into the
subjective perspective at the peak of a character s diegesis. Using the photograph loosely in this
fashion allows it to be one of the key elements to tie together three radically different stories,
despite the symbol s lack of dedicated screen time. Before diving into each individual character s
world, it helps to look at the background of the new, circa 2000, director Alejandro IГ±ГЎrritu.
Alejandro started his career with a passion for music working with radio; that original passion is
visible throughout Amores Perros as sound is used to articulate the set space and time. Sound
mimics patterns found throughout the story and Alejandro frequently positions it to juxtaposition
the narrative. With that being in mind there are few scenes where we are met with no background
noise, and no dialogue. Looking at these we can see Alejandro graces the film with three powerful
character defining images, each

the time of their program. The policy was passed by Congress in 1949, its main concern was that
diverse views and controversial issues that regard the public be available for society to be aware

would not have not been apparent to society. Many have considered the reinstatement of the

also reevaluated and revived so that it fits are society today. The doctrine should include factors
that still protect the first amendment but enables the public to be knowledgeable of issues, in
which they can form their own opinions on. News and other media today is very bias and
provides entertainment rather than knowledge of current news that impact our lives. I believe the

The Oregon Benchmark System
However, one of the issues was that even though the benchmark system assisted agencies
understand their direction, a lack of explicit budgetary support hindered the fulfilment of respective
agencies plans (Ford 2000). A similar issue was also raised by Young (2009) as he mentioned that
the Oregon Benchmark system constantly struggled to secure its funding needs. Leichter (2002)
also highlighted that the process of linking agencies programs with benchmarks were often
symbolic and in some cases agencies had completed creative accounting to justify their budget
request s linkage with Oregon Shines benchmarks. One of the most commonly used benchmark
folklore in this regard was the Oregon Arts Commission which claimed that it could help reduce...

Oregon Shines was used: to (a) link state and local level priorities and inspire local counties to
adopt the benchmarking system, (b) to facilitate educational reform, (c) to plan budget and funding
decisions and (d) to understand whether different agencies programs were aligned with the states
priorities as directed in the Benchmark (Little 1998). Even after its many issues, both Oregon
Shines I and II acted as a state wide unified vision which was able to generate valuable information
for the state legislators, state agencies and non profit organisations. This kind of information in turn
helped legislators enact important legislations, formulate policies and directed state agencies to
contribute towards the state s development (Lewis 2000; Ford 2000). Most importantly, one of the
major reasons of Oregon Shines success was its ability to receive patronage of different governors
as the administration changed with the election cycle. Diffusion of Oregon Shines model Since the
late 1980s, a number of US state governments initiated holistic state planning with targets and
benchmarks to guide public policies. According to Schumacher Centre for New Economics (2012),

The Creation Of The Presidency
The Creation of the Presidency by Charles C. Thach is a historical analysis of the development of
American Constitutional principles. The author begins by stating that the basis for American
government is one that balances individual freedom and governmental strength. The moral
foundations of American government are founded on the ideas of natural rights, government by
contract, consent of the governed, and the right to revolt. However, the Revolutionary War at the
time illuminated the need for a strong government that was able to act in times of crisis. This
created the idea that government was a necessary evil for the founders. Thach examines the failures
and success of State constitutions, and the national legislatureto show how limited government was
transformed from political theory to positive law in the United States. In politics there is a lingering
question of what determines good government, Thach s analysis on the American system prove that
good government must contain energy and limitations.
The United States of America was founded on a distrust of monarchical governments. In response to
this, the Articles of Confederation vested a majority of power into the hands of the legislature. On
principle, a democratic government seems to be one that would most accurately embody the
principles of limited government. However, good government is one that not only protects
individual rights but as Thach shows is efficient. In his examination of the national government,

The Role Of Historical Figures And Characters Of Pop Culture
Typically, difficulty comes along with aligning the character of a fictional pop culture icon and a
historical figure. Rarely do the people we read about in history books remind us of characters we
see on the big screen. However, when a television program, such as The Walking Dead, highlights
round personas that face major developments throughout the series, the characters become
immensely vivid and believable. So believable, in fact, that these characters can spark comparison
between themselves and the historical figures who have set the stage for inspiration. To
demonstrate the successful blending of historical figures and characters of pop culture, a distinct
example comes to mind. Maggie Rhee from the groundbreaking television show The Walking Dead
and Queen Elizabeth I of Englandhave proven themselves women of exemplary strength. While
Maggie survives the zombie apocalypse and attempts to protect those she loves, Queen Elizabeth
survives the adversity that comes with ruling as a female in a male dominant period. These women,
whether fictional or historical, face similar challenges and responsibilities. Their wholehearted self
confidence inspires the people they lead and makes their communities thrive. Therefore, both
Maggie from The Walking Dead and Queen Elizabeth I of England embody strong female leaders,
demonstrated by their approach to battle, and personal survival.

China s Aging Population And The Hukou System
The selection of blog entries is an important process involving the need to thoroughly take into
account the subject topic and accordingly carry out the review of the topic. The blogs are means
to represent the idea in brief in order to make it clear for understanding by the reader. The blog
should not be formed of complex set of words, which are tough to understand by the reader.
Instead, the precise description in an easy language should be carried out in order to benefit the
reader by adding to their knowledge. Thus, two blogs have been written here titled as China s aging
population, and The Hukou system . Each of these has been described in the context of the topic so
as to make them clear and precise enough to the reader.
The blog titled China s aging population describes how the increase in population is a growing
concern for the country. The reason for selection of this topic is to explore how the increase in
aged population of China is causing an impact on the country s economic system. The increase
in population is a serious issue of concern, which is well controlled by the government through
introducing one child policy (Peilin, 2015). This parameter has however resulted into several
side effects such as increase in aged people in the country. As a result of this, the expenses
associated with elderly people is also increasing, which is an interesting area focused in the blog. It
was rather a good choice of topic as it helped in exploring how the increase

Ivan Miranda, A Native Of Acapulco, Mexico
We all have respect for our elders because of their hard work. We wouldn t be in the U.S. or have
what we do now if it wasn t for them , Ivan stated during the interview. I interviewed Ivan
Miranda; a native of Acapulco, Mexico, about elderly roles in his family. Ivans grandparents are
the first and the oldest generation of his familyin America, therefore, a majority of the answers are
of direction of his family s values towards his grandparents and the ethics that are taught by
them. In addition, I came to understand more about his family s thoughts on the importance of
elderlies, along with the loss of their heritage s way of life towards the elders. Ivan and his
siblings were raised to love and respect their elders. The elders are the origin of the family and
without the elders, none of them would be here today. Elders are wise and are sought out not
only for advice and guidance, but are the caretakers of the family. Since elders are the root of the
family and the up most respected, there are not one elder family member in a nursing home.
When they are sick or too old to care for themselves, they live with a family member, we wipe
their butt s, like they did ours, Ivan declared. As elders get vulnerable and unable to maintain a
typical lifestyle, they will either move in with a child or even more commonly, a child will move
into their home to help. If there are no offspring, the family member that no longer can care for
themselves, will move in with a brother or

  • 2. The Complex Causes Of The Great War The Great War is a very complex historical period. This war was based on alliances, new techniques of war, fronts of combat. The causes of the conflict come from a long time ago, in order to understand why the happened one must study the context, the background, and the conflicts between the countries who were implied in this war. The end of the 19th century was marked by an era in which the great European powers were on expansive missions, in the conquest of new lands. Colonialism exacerbated the struggle between European industrial powers in search of territories and markets. Imperialism caused the friction between the powers to overflow the European framework and take place practically anywhere in the world. Colonialism and imperialism sharpened ... The Entente Cordiale or the Allies were: France, Russia, Great Britain, Italy, Japan and the United States, and 22 other countries. Later, the Central Powers were: Austria Hungary, Germany, the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria. In 1915 and 1916, German submarines sank two ships with American crew, killing dozens of civilians. So in April 1917, the United States entered the conflict in support of the Allies. Months later, Russia (in the middle of the Bolshevik Revolution), withdraws from the war by signing an armistice with the Central Powers, which implies great economic and territorial losses. The first World War is considered one of the most bloodthirsty of the story died about 20 million people. Although the United States, which has been present in almost all warlike conflicts in modern history since World War I, did not have a prominent participation in the First World War, in fact the total casualties of the US Army are codified in Around 115,000, with hardly any documented civilian casualties. • 3. Pros And Cons Of Congressional Term Limits Term limits are a powerful political force and a vital political reform. The movement to limit political terms and thus political power has been steamrolling through American politics for years. Many American citizens have approved term limits for Congressmen, moreover many states and hundreds of cities and counties across the United States have adopted term limits for state and local officials. Such widespread support of the phenomena shows that the public is not satisfied with the prevalent careerism and thinks that amendments to the federal legislature would be beneficial for the Congress and the country as a whole. The below paper will present objective political arguments for and against the Congressional term limits. Firstly, the arguments for the term limits will be presented, the arguments against them will proceed, followed by the conclusion drawn by the author based on the conducted research. There are several arguments that speak for Congressional term limits. To begin with, term limits were contained in America s first governing document, the Articles of Confederation. Back then in the eighteenth century this tool was chosen by the founding fathers to avoid long term political careerism and the abuse of the power legislators hold. Following this statement it becomes clear that term limits are needed at all levels of government, however it is especially vital to apply them to Congress for numerous reasons, some of them being large electoral advantages exercised by ... • 4. Maximilien Robespierre, Leader of the French Revolution Europe cannot conceive of life without Kings and nobles; and we cannot conceive of it with them. Europe is lavishing her blood to preserve her chains, whereas we are lavishing ours to destroy them (Maximilien Robespierre). For centuries upon centuries, the monarchal system had dominated European life. The very nature of this method of rule incited rebellious feelings, as a definite imbalance of power was present. Understandably, people under this system had risen against authority. The glorious nation of France was no exception. The eighteenth century brought about a great deal of economic and social turmoil. By the end of this one hundred year period, rebellion had been talked about by many citizens for quite some time. However,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The personal rebellions of Maximilien Robespierre took many forms, as did those of the French Revolution, but no specific act of rebellion is perhaps best remembered by history or best associated with his hand than the execution of the oppressive Monarchy itself. The main problem in France at the time of the French Revolution was money management. The monarchy was wasting funds on exorbitant palaces and individual pleasures. They also invested a ton of money into the American Revolution, money that they had not yet gotten back. These managerial mishaps of the Monarchy manifested themselves in such forms as utter and widespread destitution among the people, and starvation among the least fortunate of the country s inhabitants. In some cases, the repair of the economy would have been trusted to the ruling classes to fix, but Robespierre, along with many others, realized that nothing would change unless a change in leadership accompanied it. The feelings of many were embodied by this conclusion delivered by Robespierre in the National Assembly: It is with regret that I pronounce a fatal truth: Louis ought to perish rather than a hundred thousand virtuous citizens; Louis must die that the country may live (Maximilien Robespierre). It so passed that French (Mangan 4) citizen Louis Capet, (formerly known ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mark Studdock a professor at Bracton College in the University of Edgestow is holding a relatively high position in the college, when another member named Feverstone influences him into joining a suspicious organization called N.I C.E. Also his wife Jane Studdock has been having odd dreams. There are a few chief characters in the book. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Evil Power in the book was controlled by the devil, who had a Hideous Strength. The book built up tension and power throughout the plot, which was all released at the end when God sent his wrath on the evil sinners of the world. This is a picture of the world nowadays. Sinners are thriving and Evil is growing. Everything is so crooked and backwards, that the Good might begin to lose hope. However it has always been Gods will for the Good to win, and so it will. In this book I can relate to Mark Studdock. I am a wicked sinner like him and I fall into the blinding temptation all the time, just like when Mark was tempted to joining N.I.C.E. God has come in, however, and lifted me out of my sin, as he did for Mark during his custody at Belbury. Those shades have been dropped off of my eyes, and I can clearly see the power, glory, and terror of God. In Romans 12:17, the Bible says Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. The Bible also says, Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. • 7. The Value Of Societal Order In The Crucible By Arthur Miller Societal order entails an organized structure of rules and practices in a society intended to preserve the life and safety of its citizens. Individual freedom refers to the ability of an individual to speak or behave as one pleases within the law without being discriminated or attacked for one s words or actions. Under most circumstances, these two values of societal order and individual freedom can co exist hand in hand without difficulty. However, sometimes a dilemma will arise when these two values come into conflict, and one value must be chosen while the other is sacrificed. We see this pattern many times over the course of history, even today. More often than not, individual freedom is sacrificed to maintain societal order. Arthur Miller s The Crucible illustrates this viewpoint by his example of the Salem witch trials of the late 17th... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The witch trials began with the accusation of several girls for practicing witchcraft. During the trial, they shift the blame of their actions onto witchcraft itself, or the witch archetype, claiming that they were being controlled against their will. This creates a fear of witches in Salem, inspiring the famed witch hunt. The sacrifice of the witches occurred to ensure the societal order and the safety of the rest of the town, even if many who were accused of being witches were actually innocent. Miller argues a valid point, that when one must choose between societal order and freedom, it is the freedom of some individuals or groups that will usually be repressed. This conflict and the sacrifice of personal freedom persists even in the 21st century, as we continue to see similar cases in which groups of people have their freedom sacrificed for the sake of societal ... But figuring out how these problems came about takes us on another road through the history of the American healthcare system, and allows us to see how we got to our current system. A few things we will be looking at what are some of the most disruptive problems in Americas system, hat other countries do that make their health care system work well, and what are some of the things that we can do to help make out health care system more available, and affordable to everyone. I think that it would help break America s unbelievable inequality amongst our societies as well. The overall coverage of the German health care system is very extensive and makes sure that their people are taken care of. The next country we have to look at when thinking about great health care and where to take notes from is, japan. Japan s health care system is very cheap and service is very fast, but the down side to this is the hospitals are in financial deficit because the cost of everything is so low. But with a little spike in cost will help prevent the closing and keeping the hospitals from going broke. The health care system in America in my opinion has the potential to change for the better. The affirmative care act is a good step forward. But it is not enough yet. If we can figure out a plan in which we can incorporate a few ideas from other countries that are doing well in terms of their health care. I believe that if we can adopt a few aspects from the German health care system, such as the rich and healthy pay for the sick and poor, and the idea behind that if a person is to lose their job, they can keep their health insurance. These ideas will make the affordable and availability of health insurance is much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Kikuyu Tribe of Kenya and the Oath-Taking Process The Kikuyu tribe and the oath taking process Abstract: This paper discuses in regard to the Kikuyu people in Kenya and concerning their tendency to do everything in their power to respect oaths that they take. The oath taking process typically lasts for very long and makes it mandatory for individuals who experience it to focus on acting in accordance with the cause that they join. Paper: Kenya is widely known for its witchcraft practices and for the fact that its inhabitants are particularly superstitious. Belief in witchcraft is normally encountered in Kenya in critical times when individuals are unable to recover from the crisis that they are in by relying on conventional institutions. This makes it possible for people to look for solutions in less normal places and it encourages witches to continue to perform rituals that are presumably meant to directly affect society. Even with the fact that many of these rituals are immoral in character and especially illogical, many Kenyans continue to perform them and to believe that they are probable to guarantee the wellbeing of their community. Murder rituals performed by individuals belonging to the Mau Mau community often happen across Kenya and stand as an example regarding how tradition can actually reflect negatively on a peoples. Although Kenya is a multicultural nation, the fact that the Kikuyu tribe holds a numeric advantage over other groups makes it possible for this people to be able to impose their authority ... Compare And Contrast Middle Colony And New England Colonies Upon the settlement of Jamestown in the 17th century the British Colonies of the East Coast were divided into three distinct areas; New England, the Middle Colony, and the Southern Colony. While the three regions had comparable similarities, their differences were more noted. When the first colonies were founded, it was due to pilgrims wanting religious freedom, and countries striving for move power, riches, and a name. The southernmost colonies were founded when wealthy leaders expanded looking for land ownership and more power. While all the colonies were ran by a democratic government, each individual region had a different spin on it. The Middle Colony separated the church from the government laws, while New England believed the Church should have supreme ruling in all things government related; and the Southern Colonies were ruled by the wealthy, as ... • 11. Nature Vs. Nurture Scientists have been investigating about genetic inheritance and its influence on behavior in humans. A gene is the unit of heredity that is passed on from parent to offspring. These investigations have been conducted because there has been a lot of debate about whether human behavior is more influenced by geneticsor the environment. This debate is also called Nature Vs. Nurture . Although there is a clear correlation between genetics and behavior, genetic inheritance only has a partial influence due to the environmental factors that also play a role in shaping behavior. This statement can be supported by correlational studies that have been performed by numerous scientists over many years. Correlational studies are used to investigate if two variables have a relationship with each other, without actually knowing if one causes the other. Scientists use twin and adoption cases for the correlational study of genes and environment with behavior as it allows specific variables to be tested. For example, since twins share the same genetic information, analyzing pairs of twins when they are in different environments helps scientists record a correlation between genes and environment with behavior. Adoptive studies also help see if different environments have a bigger influence than genes on behavior by comparing a child s behavior with with their biological and adoptive parents . The Minnesota Twin Study of 1990 was conducted by Bouchard to investigate if genetics and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Write An Essay On The Great Gatsby And then, a bold English naturalist and geologist dares disturb the peace by publishing a 502 page piece of scientific literature that introduces us to the scientific theory of evolution through natural selection. The culprit s name is Charles Darwin, the book in question is titled On The Origin of Species, and some people see this as an attempt at proving that God does not exist. On The Origin of Species was as controversial in 1859 as Galileo Galilei s heliocentric theory was in 1615, and for much the same reason: it threatened the authority of the church by challenging religious views that were set in stone. Darwin s work was as accepted as it was detracted, though Darwin didn t come under as much heat as the authors of other historically contentious works. It generated much discussion in the areas of science, religion, and philosophy; it forced Darwin to make enemies and friends; it is now seen as a seminal work in the field of evolutionary biology. Fitzgerald was inspired by the garish culture that surrounded him in the 1920s, an era of economic prosperity, bootlegging, and societal developments; he incorporated all these elements into a novel overflowing with symbolism and references to issues or trends unique to that decade. A Careful Preponderance of Goodman s Some Moral Minima Relativism is the philosophical viewpoint that there are no actions that are innately immoral or moral, and that the morality of actions must be measured against the individual circumstances, from a multitude of perspectives that include the actor as well as the myriad consequences (and victims, potentially) of such an action. After reading Lenn Goodman s Some moralminima , it becomes fairly apparent that Goodman is far from a relativist. After a lengthy, meandering introduction in which the author spans a variety of topics and nothing too much in particular, he posits the notion that there are certain acts which are in and of themselves morally wrong. Specifically, the author proposes the notion that there are four categories for such acts including genocide, terrorism, slavery, and female genital cutting and rape. A careful preponderance of Goodman s article and the challenges the author presents to relativism indicates that such moral requirements are actually valid. At the heart of the issue that Goodman presents in this article is the unifying theme that runs concurrent through all four stratifications of immoral acts: they all, essentially, present instances in which someone is enforcing his or her will on another, to the contrary of the volition of that other party. Such a practice appears to be morally incorrect, as a number of deontologists (most notably Immanuel Kant) would vociferously argue. • 34. Labor Unions And The Labor Union Every year in this country, there are major labor disputes that result in strikes or work stoppages. In each case, the organization, the labor union, and the public are negatively affected. Why can t there be a better way of resolving disputes between the management and labor unions to avert unnecessary strikes? Why does the relationship between the labor unions and management have to be adversarial in nature? Does anybody benefit from strikes and work stoppages? These are some of the questions that I will explore in this study. Firstly, it will seem that the management and the labor union of any organization have a stake in the success or failure of that organization. The success of the organization has to be the priority or the number one goal of any member or members of the organization. As such, the entire organization has to work as a team in order to succeed, thrive and survive. In the real world, that is not what is happening. As a matter of fact, the labor unions and the management of some organizations see each other as adversaries. MTA Strike of Year 2000 The year 2000 saw a disastrous labor strikes in Los Angeles County. It s presence in the everyday lives of individuals is incalculable; Salt is evidently prevalent in our diet and methods used for food preservation, however, salt is surprisingly present in other elements of our lives as significant as language. This essay will appreciate the various roles that salt plays along with the risks that are attached to the ingestion of this particle. The salt bed is subsequently blasted, crushed, and broken into smaller pieces which are brought to the surface for processing and finessing. The mining of salt beds results in rock salt which is used primarily as a highway de icer (Kostick 2004). Alternatively, mechanical evaporation occurs through the vacuum pan process. As described in the article introduced above by Kostick (2004), this energy conserving process begins with a salt saturated brine which is brought to a boil, rectangular pans with steam heated immersion coils are used to facilitate the evaporation process (Kostick, 2004). Once the evaporation occurs, rotating rakes collect the salt and the extracted product is laid out to dry. The mechanical evaporation of salt saturated solution results in flake shaped salt, often used for cheeses, butter, and baked goods as described in Kostick (2004). In the same article, written by Kostick (2004), the author states that the extraction of sea salt requires an entirely unique process called solar evaporation. Halite isn t the only mineral present in sea water, because of this, each mineral must be separated from the water in order to extract the salt. First, seawater is collected distributed in ponds that function to concentrate and ultimately evaporate the minerals within the water. The brine is subsequently circulated across a multiplicity of interconnected ponds with the salinity increasing as it transfers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Literary Analysis Of Amores Perros Come to Clarity Typically, photographs are considered nothing more than tangible items that invoke nostalgia. Having a character ponder over a photo typically gives the image no more value than a McGuffin. Alejandro GonzГЎlez IГ±ГЎrritu s Amores Perros (2000) on the other hand, asks the viewer to re evaluate the concept of the photograph both literally and figuratively throughout the film. The meaning of a photograph can be considered the glue on this story; the symbol is dynamic enough to provide each character with a moment of reflection, and the audience a window into the subjective perspective at the peak of a character s diegesis. Using the photograph loosely in this fashion allows it to be one of the key elements to tie together three radically different stories, despite the symbol s lack of dedicated screen time. Before diving into each individual character s world, it helps to look at the background of the new, circa 2000, director Alejandro IГ±ГЎrritu. Alejandro started his career with a passion for music working with radio; that original passion is visible throughout Amores Perros as sound is used to articulate the set space and time. Sound mimics patterns found throughout the story and Alejandro frequently positions it to juxtaposition the narrative. With that being in mind there are few scenes where we are met with no background noise, and no dialogue. Looking at these we can see Alejandro graces the film with three powerful character defining images, each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The policy was passed by Congress in 1949, its main concern was that diverse views and controversial issues that regard the public be available for society to be aware of. • 44. The Creation Of The Presidency The Creation of the Presidency by Charles C. Thach is a historical analysis of the development of American Constitutional principles. The author begins by stating that the basis for American government is one that balances individual freedom and governmental strength. The moral foundations of American government are founded on the ideas of natural rights, government by contract, consent of the governed, and the right to revolt. However, the Revolutionary War at the time illuminated the need for a strong government that was able to act in times of crisis. This created the idea that government was a necessary evil for the founders. Thach examines the failures and success of State constitutions, and the national legislatureto show how limited government was transformed from political theory to positive law in the United States. In politics there is a lingering question of what determines good government, Thach s analysis on the American system prove that good government must contain energy and limitations. The United States of America was founded on a distrust of monarchical governments. In response to this, the Articles of Confederation vested a majority of power into the hands of the legislature. On principle, a democratic government seems to be one that would most accurately embody the principles of limited government. However, good government is one that not only protects individual rights but as Thach shows is efficient. In his examination of the national government, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Rarely do the people we read about in history books remind us of characters we see on the big screen. However, when a television program, such as The Walking Dead, highlights round personas that face major developments throughout the series, the characters become immensely vivid and believable. So believable, in fact, that these characters can spark comparison between themselves and the historical figures who have set the stage for inspiration.
