Similarities And Differences Of The Egyptian, Zhou...
Midterm I INTRODUCTION In historic times, multiple Societies of people living and collaborating
together in a community is what led to the formation of many Empires. Empires were comprised of
similar groups of people that were most often geographically located within close proximities. It is
interesting to compare and contrast three societies which became Empires: the Egyptian, Zhou
Chinese, and Persian. Each Empire is responsible for contributing to a foundational advancement that
has been used in future generations. I will compare the similarities and contrasts of each and explain
why I believe the Persian Empire was the most successful Empire. I will start by addressing the
primary similarities, which are that each Empire was responsible for innovating and creating things in
the following areas of: mathematics, architecture, and philosophy. In contrast, the differences that
existed were due to each Empire creating advancements and developments as a need from their
respective demography, which means their environment and surroundings dictated the areas they
excelled and innovated the most in. After researching these, I deemed the most successful Empire to
be the one in which created the most widely used things throughout the entire world, and that are still
in use today. Also, I determined the most important determining factor of an Empire being successful
was if it had an acceptable democratic and equal societal philosophy. Thus, I found all these successful

Appearance And Court Case Analysis
In the legal field, key to presenting competence to your client, opposing attorneys, and the court,
appearance stands. Reviewing persons in the legal field remains a head to toe scrutiny, since if your
appearance portrays competence, until there exists a mishandling of the case or the client, their
confidence in the firm remains solid. Upon studying the slides of the Professional Law Firm slides, the
evaluation follows:
Slide 1 appears to be a female junior attorney and a male junior attorney discussing a case in front of a
male senior attorney in the law firm. The female attorney ensemble consists of a gray pinstriped suit
jacket with a pale blue blouse. With her top button unfastened, her hair up and formal, no distracting
makeup or jewelry, her appearance seems a casual formal attire. The males dressed formally, dark
suits, both ties and hair view appropriate for their position. The two junior attorneys appear to be
inside the professional space bubble, without knowing what their conversation concerns, the males
smile seems inappropriate. The senior attorney s desk consists of a well ordered and properly arranged
appearance, over all a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once in court a judge called a recess, in order for an attorney to get his jacket and tie. The attorney
was wearing a nice dress shirt but it was open to the second button and the judge was a stickler for
appropriate attire. In our office, I had to either have long sleeves or wear short sleeves and wear a
jacket when meeting with clients. Our attorney loved the older style of dresses, and once she went to
court, after proceedings were complete, the judge asked her and I to chambers where he told the
attorney to release the past fashion and accept the new professional attire (Wann,

Water the Future
A report on the Water usage around Auckland and offering a new initiative.
Report compiled by Dion Allott.
Abstract

Water the Future
Water is vital for human survival, essential for the necessities of all life on earth; human health and
functioning, the natural environment, vegetation, insects, livestock, and a requirement for future
generations. With the population growing at alarming rates accompanied with resource depletion an
accepted part of society; we are using and exceeding all natural resources we have left. Until we
realize there is a vast shortage; by then it will be far too late.
Scientists and researchers have stated that fresh water resources are running low worldwide, and are
only expected to worsen over time as the population increases (Pearce, 2007), (Browns, Amazon
books). Given the current trends of resource depletion and population increase, as much as two thirds
of the world population in 2025 may be subject to moderate to high water stress, where only a small
fraction of available renewable fresh water, less than 0.01 percent, is readily obtainable for the direct
human use (United Nations, 1997a). Putting this in a simple explanation, no more of this available
renewable fresh water (0.01 percent of all water) is available today than existed at the start of human
civilization. So therefore as population increases and developments happen worldwide, there is no
increase in this available

Potential Jurors In Court Cases
The Constitution guarantees us a right to a trial by a jury in serious criminal hearings. The jury job is
to weed out the facts by reviewing the evidence and deliberating on a verdict based on an agreement
of three fourths or five sixths of the jurors (How Are Potential Jurors Selected, 2016), (How Courts
Work, 2016).
Jurors selected in two phases. The first phase the jurors are randomly selected. The state or federal
district will randomly select names from a list of registered voters, a list of people who hold driver s
licenses in the state, or a list of people receiving unemployment benefits from the state (How Are
Potential Jurors Selected, 2016). After your name is selected off of the list you will receive
notification through the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Voir dire is when the court and the attorneys select 12 people as jurors for the case. The process for
voir dire differs from state to state, and even from judge to judge on how many jurors they want on the
case (How Are Potential Jurors Selected, 2016). Before the interview of the jurors the judge will make
a brief statement on the case and inquire on any reason why the juror cannot serve on the case (How
Are Potential Jurors Selected, 2016). In addition, alternate jurors are selected due to matter if someone
becomes ill or die during the trial (How Courts Work, 2016). They hear the evidence just like the other
jurors but not able to deliberate until they are a juror for that trial. Jurors are selected based on their
backgrounds and beliefs (How Courts Work, 2016). The juror s interview can be in front of all the
selected jurors or in private. The attorneys can at any time object to a juror being part of the trial.
There are two types of objections such as peremptory challenges and challenges for cause against the
juror (How Are Potential Jurors Selected, 2016). If and when an attorney challenges a juror for cause,
the attorney defense has something to do with the juror s background or knowledge to the case that
would partially be prejudgment towards the case (How Are Potential Jurors Selected, 2016). Let s say,
if there is a police brutality case most likely a police officer will not be selected as a juror in this case.

Strategic Capital Management 1. The market capitalization is equal to the total value of the tradable
shares of a publicly traded company; it is equal to the share price times the number of shares
outstanding.
Therefore, knowing that on December 9, 1988, the share of the Creative Computers was traded at
$22.75 and UBID at $35.6875 and also that Creative Computers had 10.238.703 shares outstanding
and UBID 9.146.883, their market capitalization was:
Creative Computers: $22,75 * 10.238.703 = $232.930.493,25
UBID: $35,6875 * 9.146.883 = $326.429.387,0625 The stub value of Creative Computers represents

Margin long = .5 * Value shares bought CC = $116.465.246,625
Initial amount Elena has to put up:
Margin short + Margin long = $247.093.487,625 (50% of both positions)
*we took number of shares bought = 10.238.703 and shorted: 7.320.672,645
(0.715 * 10.238.703).
4. Return on the strategy:
December 18:
Value of strategy: (28,875 0,715*53,125)* 10.238.703 = $ 93.268.185,140625
Return = ( 93.268.185,140625+28.326.011)/ 247.093.487,625 = 26,28%
December 21:
Value of strategy: (35,375 0,715*84,125)* 10.238.703 = $ 253.657.467,635625
Return = ( 253.657.467,635625+28.326.011)/ 247.093.487,625 = 91,19%
December 22:
Value of strategy: (46,9219 0,715*134,50)* 10.238.703 = $ 504.211.072,4568
Return = ( 504.211.072,4568+28.326.011)/ 247.093.487,625 = 192,59%
December 23:
Value of strategy: (59,6875 0,715*188) * 10.238.703 = $ 765.163.871,9475
Return = ( 765.163.871,9475+28.326.011)/ 247.093.487,625 = 298,2%
5. The number p of shares bought is: 10.238.703, so the number of shares shorted is 0,715 * p =
7.320.672,645.
Therefore, in the June 7, 1999:
Value of strategy: 10.238.703 * (32,625 0,715* 34) = 85.134.815,445

Pros And Cons Of President Hoover s New Deal
Economics can be defined as the study of the efficient allocation of scarce resources. Scarcity, a basic
concept of economics, states that society has an insufficient amount of productive resources to fill all
human wants and needs. The federal government fits into all of this by guiding the overall pace of
economic activity. They attempt to do so by to maintaining a steady economic growth, high levels of
employment, and price stability. How they carry these actions out, however, depends on which
economic model they decide to follow. The two major approaches to economic policies are the
Keynesian and Classical views. Although both of these economic theories have their pro s and con s,
ultimately, government should opt for the Classical school ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Say s Law is an economic rule that claims supply creates its own demand. Ironically, Adam Smith and
John Keynes, despite having been born almost two centuries apart, had conflicting ideas surrounding
Say s Law. Adam Smith s Classical supporters agreed with Say s Law and strongly upheld that in a
free market, workers would always be willing to lower their wages to a level where employers could
profitably offer them jobs (Armstrong Economics). This declaration would have remained true if
unionization had not come to rise. Unions are recognized as organized associations of workers formed
to protect and further worker rights and interests. Because of unions, Keynes argued that workers
would not allow their wages to be lowered. Furthermore, in his General Theory, Keynes proposed that
demand was the key to unlocking economic prosperity, not supply. Therefore, Keynes called for an
activist economic role for government to stimulate demand in times of high unemployment while
ignoring

El Banditos On Market St
The ethnic restaurant I chose to visit was El Banditos on Market St. in Iowa City. It is a charming little
Mexican restaurant that is filled with all sorts of different characteristics that make it ethnic. I chose to
explore this restaurant because of how unknown and underrated it was. I personally have never
noticed or heard of it before. It is across the street from Blue Bird Diner which many people have been
to and not many of them would be able to identify that this restaurant is just across the way. The small

The lighting within the restaurant was dim and brought a nice essence to the place. There was a lot of
artwork displayed throughout the restaurant. The restaurant had old Mexican wrestling posters of
Lucha Libre, bullfighting and the Day of the Dead posters and old Mayan artwork on the walls. These
are well known things and celebrations in Mexican culture. The Day of the Dead is a traditional
holiday that celebrates the lives of friends and family members who have died, and help them support
their spiritual journey. Lucha Libre is a term for professional wrestling in Mexico that a lot of families
gather around to watch together. There were countless old bullfighting posters and some newer
versions.
Keeping up with the Mexican culture was their menu. All the recipes are from the family passed down
over many years. The original El Banditos was opened in 1969 in Des Moines, IA showing off their
unique recipes and style. Everything is handmade and many ingredients are from local vendors around
here. Their menu consisted of classic Mexican dishes such as chips and salsa or guacamole, tacos,
enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, soups, and much more. They also served Mexican style breakfast food
which I have not seen before which I found very interesting. In addition to a colorful menu of food,

Flaws In Volleyball Research Paper
The girls who played volleyball in the clip, are decent players, however there are some significant
flaws in their gameplay. The first aspect that needs work is their teamwork. Their teamwork and lack
of communication is poor, as the girls bumped into each other, and never set the ball for their team
mate to spike. To improve this, name calling should be suggested if you are going to go for the ball, as
this would minimise players running into each other. Another way to improve teamwork is if strategy
was involved. There is no strategy placed in the game, as shown in the clip. The plays of the ball had
only one concept: To get the ball to the other side. There were no sets, leading to no spikes. If the girls
planned who would set to who, and

All Dreams Can Come True If We Have Courage

something that everyone is born with, but only some are courageous enough to find it and put it to use.
Merriam Webster s defines courage as Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand
danger, fear, or difficulty. Courage can overcome any obstacle, proving that if we have courage any
dream truly can come true. As readers we must understand that there are going to be times in life when

The next day he went on a live show on the voice of America and angrily condemned the attacks. It is
very frightening to speak up against something so powerful and evil, example: The Taliban. However,
if the whole world were to realize that the power of these hate groups comes from the creation of fear,
maybe everyone would be a bit more like Malala s dad, and not have the fear to speak up for what is
right. The author is trying to show us that no matter our circumstances we can all find the courage to
fight for what we know is right. Malala is a prime example of courage because her life was put on the
line. However, she walked the tightrope over the hate of the Taliban. She reached the tallest building

The next example of a quiet girl with a loud mind is Maya Angelou. Maya was born in Arkansas and

Persuasive Essay On Male Circumcision
In September of 1997, it became illegal in the united states to perform circumcisions on females
(Horowitz, 1997). However, to this day there is still a gender based human rights violation that has not
been protected by law. Male infants often undergo genital surgery that is not medically necessary.
Male circumcision is the only non therapeutic surgery performed on minors as an attempt to prevent
disease. It is my hope that one day, all newborns will be protected from having their genitals altered,
unless medically necessary. Many people become outraged at the thought of females being
circumcised, but are okay with circumcising males. The double standard in America is astonishing.
While other developed countries are trying to out this barbaric procedure and recommending parents
leave their babies intact, the U.S is still promoting this outdated and unnecessary surgery. There are no
medical organizations in the world that recommend routinely circumcising all infant males. The
Canadian pediatric society states The CPS does not recommend the routine circumcision of every
newborn male (Canadian paediatric). The Royal Australasian College of Physicians state: After
reviewing the currently available evidence, the RACP believes that the frequency of diseases
modifiable by circumcision, the level of protection offered by circumcision and the complication rates
of circumcision do not warrant routine infant circumcision in Australia and New Zealand. () There is

Police Officers And Their Image Of A Police Officer
Police officers were implemented into society to be protectors of the public and to serve the
community whenever they were in need of help or justice. They are here to enforce the laws of the
land and to keep society safe from any harm. The police are suppose to be our unsung heroes. With
this knowledge, citizens should respect these individuals and trust the officers to implement justice
and protection. However, not all citizens respect the law enforcement or trust them. Many would like
to see police officers like this, but there are a lot that happens in society that make s one rethink their
image of a police officer. There are many people in the community that have negaitve attitudes
towards the police and see them as corrupt or brutal (Brown Benedict, 2002, p. 551). The individuals
that are unfavorable towards the police are those from a low social statues, minorities like blacks,
from areas of high crime, single or divorced or widowed individuals, and especially juveniles.
Juveniles that have had high contact with officers, minorities, tolerance to illegal behavior, and low
socioeconomic group status believe that they are treated unfairly, targeted by the police, and believe
that they were wrongly accused (Janeksela, 1999, p. 314). Juvenile attitudes toward the police is an

You Ready For Your Solo And Last Concert
Are you ready for your solo and last concert? I half smiled at him and nodded, feeling a bit emotional,
remembering why I was doing this in the first place. I suddenly felt calm, and I was ready for
anything. He nodded his head, indicating it was time. I took a deep breath, smiled, and walked out
with my violin that I have grown so accustomed to in my hand, feeling the rush of cool air on my face.
My conductor s loud claps could be heard from behind the stage, which was followed by an eruption
of applause from the audience. Once I got to my spot I bowed and tuned the orchestra: the plain sound
of the A string ringing across the concert hall. After everyone was tuned, we all seated to wait for the
arrival of our conductor. He came out and we all stood up and clapped. While everyone sat down, I
stayed standing, walking over to the edge of the stage. I looked around my surroundings again once
more, embracing myself for the moment. The crowd had suddenly turned into blurs, blending between
the lights. I had suddently felt a little better about playing. The conductor raised his baton up, looked
and smiled at me in reassurance, raised my instrument up, and I took in a deep breath.

The Boy On The Wooden Box
Surviving The War Could you ever picture yourself being in one of the World Wars? Well, neither did
Leon Leyson. I chose the novel The Boy On The Wooden Box for my independent reading project.
The book is about a young boy surviving through a killer war. Leon was a Holocaust survivor and the
youngest boy on Schindler s List. Leon wrote the book The Boy On The Wooden Box in 2013, with
the help of Marilyn J. Harran and Elisabeth B. Leyson, sixty four years after Leon arrived in the
United States. World War Two affected millions of people and it is very important that stories from the
war are shared.
In the beginning of the war Leon and his family lived in Kraków, Poland. Leon had four siblings, their
names were: Hershel, Tsalig, David, and Pesza. Leon came from a jewish family, which would not
work in their favor during the Holocaust. Once the war started Leon and his family were transferred
into the ghetto. The ghetto was a fenced in minature town, that was made by the Germans and was
placed in the center of Kraków. All of the Jews were forced to live in the ghetto. After the war Pesza
and David moved to Czechoslovakia, Israel, while Leon and his parents immigrated to America. Leon
and his parents spent years in a United Nations relief organization camp in Germany while waiting to
go to America. The camp was for Jews who were trying to make it to the United States, after the war
ended. At the camp Leon changed his name from Leib Lejzon to the American

The Rise In Conspiracy Theories
Conspiracy theories have a massive influence on our society through literature, film and music. Such
conjectures may be absurd to the commoner, but they serve an important psychological, and
sociological, purpose in their practice. Conspiracies often target the powerful from the position of the
powerless, reaching to explain what otherwise is unexplainable, or unsatisfactory when explained.
These are an important aspect of democratic society, even if some speculations can reach into the
extremes of absurdity. Often, these conspiracy theories express discontent with government powers.
The rise in conspiracy theories against the government, stemming from events such as the Kennedy
assassination, led to a decrease in trust in federal intentions (Issitt and Newton). This increasing
distrust led to a chain reaction of conspiracy theories as the approval rate of the government dropped
from 80% to 25% in the timespan of 40 years (Issitt and Newton). Questioning of the intent of
officials, such as the accusation of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

they would meet at an end consisting of active discrimination. Yet, those same critics that claim
generalization on the part of theorists fall into hypocrisy. To claim that these proposals are for the
advancement of bigoted dogmas is in itself a generalization of the whole of conspiracy theories. While
it is true that people, such as Hitler, used preconceived ideas on race to create conjectures for political
gain, the majority of theories are benign in this aspect, and sometimes beneficial. Therefore, while
conspiracy theories posing immediate threat towards a specific group should be looked into, the bulk
of these conjectures should be left as they are, rather than being

Student Council National Honor Society
Over the last two years of my High School education, I found the extracurricular activities I fit in the
most. I am part of Student Council, National Honor Society and a member of the tennis team. They all
have molded me to be the best. However, I feel like tennis has impacted me the most. It s a sport that
has taught me so much, from being physically fit, to mentally prepared for any outcome. I learned that
a game it s not about winning or losing, but about how it s played, and what it took to get there. Being
in a team is about contributing others, and learning from them. It s about accepting that we all make
mistakes, and only practice can reduce the times we make them. So many loses and few victories, but
I always preferred to sheer my

Why School Should Be Searched
firstly, I think that school should be searched because it would make the school safe. It will make the
school safer because it will get rid of drug and weapon in the school. BY searching the school for
drugs it will send the drugs to jail and or to drug abuse place to help them. Also by arrested the kid
that have drug on them it will teaches them a lesson to not do drug and not to bring them to school.
Also you can find there deal and send him to jail for traffic . Over all it would make the city and the
school s better as there is one more drug dealer off the street to sell to kids. with one of the effect of
most drug is that impact your learning, so if there were no people that do drug in the school the school
avenge will go up and less of a chance of doing stupid thing like starting a fight or bring a weapon to
school. Also by getting rid of weapon at school it will make them safe. there have been many shooting
in Canada and around the world. Most notably in the USA. But Canada still has it fair share of
shooting such as 2013: Les Racines de vie Montessori were two men died during the shooting. 2006:
Dawson College, Montreal one woman was killed and Another 19 people were injured and the most
recent and the worst Canadian school shooting in a decade the La Loche, Sask., shooting left four
people dead. If there were police office in school s at all time. If there were a shooting and police

Estelle s Faith Quotes
There is one more situation in which Estelle s bad faith is extremely evident in the play. Estelle is
experiencing her last connection to the human world where she states I m only half here. I m only half
wicked, and half of me is down there with you, clean and crystal clear as running water. (No Exit 32).
Estelle s bad faith in this case is represented by her inability to accept not only the fact that since she is
a sum of her actions she is indeed fully wicked but, it is also in her refusal to accept the fact that
although a person may not know what she has done it does not mean that the part of her seen from that
person in any represents who she truly is. When she states that half of me is clean and crystal clear as

He later is attempting to convince Inez that he is not a coward and states Can one possibly be a
coward when one s deliberately courted danger at every turn? And can one judge a life by a single
action. (No Exit 43). If it were the case that this was the only time Garcin were acting like a coward it
may not be possible to fully judge him based upon one action but, Inez points out that For thirty years
you dreamt you were a hero and condoned a thousand petty lapses. (No Exit 43). Inez is arguing that
Garcin has always been lying to himself and has been dreaming that he was a hero but, has actually
just been self deceiving himself whenever he did something cowardly which she points out by saying
he condoned a thousand petty lapses which is referring to perhaps smaller cowardly acts that he has
done throughout his life that he refused to accept as indicating he was a coward. Then even past that
she states Then a day came when you were up against it, the red light of real danger and you took the
train to Mexico. (No Exit 43) Inez perfectly points out how Garcin has always been acting in bad faith
up until the last actions he ever took. By denying the fact that he is a coward and not the hero he
attempts to paint himself as it reveals that Garcin lived a life full of inauthenticity since he has never
accepted the fact that he is a coward because his actions are that of a coward. Garcin then tries
defending himself one last time against Inez as he argues I died to soon. I wasn t allowed time to to do
my deeds. (No Exit 43) he is attempting to blame the fact that he died too soon as the reason he was
never able to act as the hero he tries to show himself as. This argument is directly counteracted by
existentialism which is pointed out by Inez when she says One always dies too soon... And yet one s
life is complete at that moment... You are your life, and nothing else.

Susan B Anthony On Women s Rights
As a young woman in the state of West Virginia I have the right to vote, receive a formal education,
and the ability to have a voice. I do not take these rights for granted. Woman started the privileges I
have today. These opportunities began with three outstanding women in our history. Susan B.
Anthony, Rosa Parks, and Eleanor Roosevelt have been a driving force for women to have the right to
vote, to seek education, and to speak their voice.
Susan B. Anthony, never gave up. In 1905 she met with President Theodore Roosevelt to propose the
right for women to vote. After being rejected she kept standing for her beliefs. One of her strongest
statements was Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights, and nothing less. She ...

The Strengths And Weakness Of Clinical Governance Essay
This paper illustrates the strengths and weakness of clinical governance in relation to medicinal aspect
and how it is reflected by writer s experience as a medical officer. Writer believes that discussion of
the concepts of governance and management is important for this report. As history always plays a

In health sector, Governance refers to a broad area of rule making and decision making functions to
attain the objectives of national health policies which covers the health universally. This political
procedure maintains the equilibrium of competing influences and requirements. Governance supports
the strategic directions for development of policies and their implementation, identifies and rectifies
the unenviable trends and deformities, establish productive accountability system and monitor the

Essex Matheson
Now, having not seen the performance myself, I must reserve full judgement of it s content, and
relativeness to feminism. Although having read Matheson s review I can say this much.
Lexie Matheson asks the interesting question of whether we really belong to this conversation. As I
believe she is a transgender women? Obviously the answer is yes, that everyone is included in the
discussion of feminism, as someone who has benefitted from the patriarchy most of their lives, the
discussion is one that I take part in but am incredibly wary of, for I don t wish to offend or
accidentally misrepresent the subject.
Clare Croft s article talks about the physical responses to prompts, as she removes the word girl from
rehearsals and gives them words such as bossy or scarred. With this she achieves a less hetero
normative performance as it removed the idea s of femineity and gender. She also talks of the loudness
of the male actors in comparison to the females, and how it draws the eye away. This is one way in
which IF THERE S NOT DANCING AT THE REVOLUTION, I M NOT COMING... achieves
feminist goals. By removing the male from the stage, directing the focus to the Julia Croft and paying
attention to her representations of gender. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is a blatant representation of feminism saying, look here! These parts shouldn t be wrong. This is,
in my opinion, correct as well. As a patriarchal society we have made so much of the female body an
object of desire, but also rude, in human history that we now have a problem viewing a naked figure.
This also reflects things such as the Free the Nipple! movement of late. Matheson also touches upon
this point saying that it is a gesture of trust offering your naked body on stage and the audience needs
to deserve that intimacy, which helps to give power to an objectified

Sport Personal Statement
Bigger, faster and stronger athletes are what we see today. The body type of athletes has developed
gradually and have become more complex. The mindset of sports has changed, and I like the direction
its going in. The goal is to play harder, faster and longer with fewer injuries. However, I can see why
people are frightened by this new adjustment. Athletes around the world might have become too big,
too strong and too quick for their bodies. This tells us how sports science is creating a new generation
of super athletes and what we can learn from them. Sports science is a discipline that studies how the
body works during physical activity. An application of treatment and prevention of injuries related to
sports medicine. In the 21st century training isn t just specialized by sport or position but by an
individual s specific biochemical makeup. The study of chemical substances and the process of living
organisms also known as physiology. Physiology is one of the three components of sports science.
Another component is biomechanics which is he function of muscles, joints and skeleton. The third
component is psychology this is the physical factors that affect a person s performance. Growing up I

The Anunciation And Expulsion From Paradise Summary
Giovani di Paolo s The Annunciation and Expulsion from Paradise is currently in the National Gallery
of Art in Washington DC. According to the panel next to the artwork, the piece was finished in 1435
CE and made of tempera on panel. This Sienese altarpiece from the start of the Italian Renaissance
shows the experimentation of form at that time. Giovanni di Paolo uses golden texture to display
divinity, line to illustrate architectural perspective, and a strategic use of scale throughout the
composition in order to portray the importance of the religious context. The golden foil that
compliments tempera works at the time draws your eye to specific points in the piece. Drawing your
eye to the upper left corner, the golden material then aids the eye in traveling down towards the
bottom right corner. Because the largest golden form is in the upper right corner, your sight starts
there. This is where god is represented and the symbol for divinity starts. Divinity implied by golden
nimbuses or halos continue throughout the piece around the head of divine figures. The only two
figures on the left without nimbuses represent Adam and Eve who are no longer divine one kicked out
of paradise. This relates to the second part of the title, Expulsion from Paradise. For obvious cultural
reasons, the angels have the heavenly halos. One angel is specifically known, Archangel Gabriel,
because of the annunciation scene with Mary in the center. Joseph, at the right, and Mary both also

Reflection We had a great time conducting this lesson with the class! We found it difficult to choose
an activity that would engage kids, university students, while also incorporating the element of Social
Studies. However, we were all pleasantly surprised at how much the group actually loved our game,
and how engaged they were! Due to the time constraint of only 15 minutes, we chose to play our main
game the Mayan Ball game , and simply discuss with the rest of the class our idea of our warm up and
cool down games and their themes. We had a backup plan to play the Egyptian stick game if we

the sacrifice of the team captain until the very end of the game. Thus, we thought it would be fun to
actually pick a team captain before beginning play, so that at the end of the game, we could tie in the
importance of winning the game in order to avoid the sacrifice of the captain. This turned out to be a
good decision because following the end of the game, we asked for team captains to step forward, we
celebrated the winning team, and made mention of the terrible loss the losing team was about to
experience. We filled them in on the news that their captain would now be sacrificed and explained
why. This allowed us to conclude the game bringing in yet another fact about the Mayan culture and
tradition. It also made the end of the game more entertaining and fun! Considering teamwork was the
foundation of our game, we thought it would be best to divide the group in two equal halves.
However, in a class setting, it would be fun to start the teams small, dividing the gym in two and
having four teams. This would allow students to warm up and get used to the footwork and teamwork

The Importance Of Becoming An Oncology Radiologist
What is a butterfly? Most people might say that a butterfly is an insect with qualities of grace, beauty,
and peace. To me, however, when I think of butterflies, my grandma comes to my mind. My grandma

she passed away, my grandma said, When you see a yellow butterfly, I want you to think of me . Her
death is what caused me to want to become an oncology radiologist. I want to be able to make an
impact in people s lives by aiding in the treatment of their cancer. Yellow butterflies have come into
my life in many ways since my grandma passed away. One of the most significant events was when

How did World War One improve opportunities for women s...
World War One was a time of death, destruction and was in general a conflict of monumental
proportions. However, as the cliché goes, there is a silver lining to every storm cloud. In the case of
the Great War, the silver lining refers to the great leaps forward made in women s empowerment and
involvement in society because of the advent of the war, which forced them into positions previously
never considered by either gender. World War One provided women with the perfect opportunity to
demonstrate to a male dominated society that females were there for more than simply domestic
chores, and this proved to be beneficial for both women and men alike. Women became involved in

As women were finally recognised for their contributions as nurses and medical aids, they were
provided with a sense of importance and their position in society was elevated. Without the women
who courageously partook in these organisations, the casualty rates would have been much higher, so
the services that these women provided were undeniably invaluable. Because women played such an
instrumental role in World War 1, the war became a time when women s roles that were previously
thought to be mundane were finally acknowledged and respected, bringing a whole new level to
women s empowerment. Although women were actively participating in the military itself, their
involvement in the civilian workforce was just as equality asserting and significant, especially when
women began to take on roles such as running their countries transport systems. During the advent of
war, the need for transport increased exponentially, as supplies, personnel, and other war related
equipment were in higher demand. With the men enlisted in the army, there was no choice but for the
women to take over these professions, including working on the rail and tram lines and driving trucks,

The Resurrection Of God s Glory
Following the fall, mankind and the rest of creation are in an unnatural state of disorder, and mankind
specifically is condemned to the reign of death and separation from God. However, through the
Incarnation, Jesus Christ becomes human and begins to restore mankind to an elevated state, allowing
for mankind and all of creation to serve as a full manifestation of God s glory. As beings created in the
image and likeness of God, mankind is born into relation and unity as exemplified by the Holy Trinity.
Mankind is not a strictly necessary being, but rather a being God chose to create so as to share His
goodness and love, making mankind a true manifestation of God s glory. St. Bonaventure explains that
God created all things not to increase His glory, but to show it forth and to communicate it. However,
following the original sin, mankind enters a fallen state characterized by death and a separation from
God. In this sinful state, mankind is no longer living as our fullest selves and is failing to exemplify
God s true glory. Mankind still remains in this fallen state when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, joins
Himself to creation and enters into humanity through the power of the Holy Spirit. Origen remarks on
the grandeur of God becoming Incarnate saying, But of all the marvelous and splendid things about
[God], there is one that utterly transcends the limits of human wonder and is beyond the capacity of
our weak mortal intelligence to think of or understand, namely,

The Medicines Of Medieval Medicine And The Black Death
Medieval Medicine
Medieval Medicine was basic in an era when terrible illnesses such as the Black Death were killing
nearly one third of the population. No one had any idea what caused illnesses and diseases, such as the
Black Death. There were no antibiotics or vaccines thus it was almost impossible to cure illness and
diseases.
Bloodletting was a popular method of restoring a patient s health and humors . Early surgery, often
done by barbers, occurred without anaesthesia.
Often medicines were made from herbs, spices and resins. The medicine was applied in drinks, pills,
washes, baths, rubs, poultices, purges and ointments. Which sometimes themselves contained fatal
ingredients.
Medicine used to treat some specific illnesses
Medieval Medicine to treat the Black Death
The Black Death held a mortality rate of between 30 and 40 per cent. Victims had no idea what had

lancing the buboes and applying a warm poultice of butter, onion and garlic. Various other remedies
were tried including tobacco, arsenic, lily root and even dried toad.

Memory is a very important and essential to all of our lives. Without any type of memory from the

causes can be split into anterograde amnesia and retrograde amnesia. Anterograde amnesia results
from a brain injury were the person is impaired in learning new information. Memories for events that

is evident in the film that Lucy suffers from anterograde amnesia. In the film, Lucy s memory seems

Energy Systems
Abernathy (2013), an individuals exercise capacity is determined by how much energy the muscle cell

Energy/adenosine triphosphate (ATP) can be metabolised from various forms of carbohydrates, fats,
and proteins (Brown, 2012).
Brown (2012), carbohydrates and fat are the primary sources of energy, with protein contributing a

Changes to energy systems with age
Removal of lactic acid in the glycolysis system is largely impacted by blood flow and heart rate.
With age, changes to the body may result in slower heart rate as the heart muscles degenerate slightly.
Aerobic capacity depends on many factors. E.g. cardiac output, or amount of blood the heart can
pump.
Aerobic capacity is also related to an individual s lung capacity and amount of oxygen the muscles can
use (Abernethy, 2013).
An individual s maximum aerobic capacity (VO2 max), decreases about 1 percent per year after 25

Measurement of aerobic/anaerobic capacity allows evaluation of individual s metabolic abilities,

In this system, each part is interdependent and works together so that society functions as a whole.
Every part has a role that is necessary for the good of the overall functioning of that society. Society is
connected by a social consensus which is an agreed upon set of guidelines for the society. This theory
strives for equilibrium and promotes stability and solidarity. It believes that social stability is
necessary to have a strong society.
The Social Conflict theory is a macro oriented theory that views social life as a competition for limited
resources. This theory sees society as a competition among individuals for social, political, and
material resources. Examples of these resources include political power, housing, leisure time, and
money. The social conflict theory sees the inequality in society and is constantly undergoing change.
This theory believes that the wealthy or elite controls the poor and weak, which benefits the wealthy at
the expense of the poor. It believes that far reaching change is necessary to eliminate social inequality.
The social conflict theory emphasizes that the powerful groups use their power to take advantage of
the groups or individuals with less power. Social conflict theory shows how factors such as age, race,
class, and sex are linked to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This theory analyzes how individuals impose meanings on objects, events, and behaviors and then
tend to behave based on what they believe and not necessarily what is true. Therefore, society is
believed to be socially constructed through how humans interpret things around them. This theory
studies how people construct social reality and how people construct their roles as they interact
through meanings they place on words and

Chapter 1: Introduction
1.1 Background
The Report presents a hybrid neural network solution, which compares favorably with other methods
and recognizes a person within a large database of faces. These neural systems typically return a list of
most likely people in the database. Often only one image is available per person. First a database is
created, which contains images of various persons. In the next stage, the available images are trained
and stored in the database. Finally it classifies the authorized person s face, which is used in security
monitoring system. Faces represent complex, multidimensional, meaningful visual stimuli and
developing a computational model for face recognition is difficult. Face has certain distinguishable
landmarks that are the peaks and valleys that sum up the different facial features. There are about 80
peaks and valleys on a human face. The following are a few of the peaks and valleys that are measured
by the software:
*Distance between eyes
*Width of nose
*Depth of eye sockets
*Cheekbones
*Jaw line
*Chin

Analysis Of A Poem In The Inner City By Lucille Clifton
Divergence Converges Many spend their lives learning how they are different from others to define
their uniqueness, but these differences sometimes spark an internal wish to join the others. For
example, most United States citizens know their country s economic position exceeds Canada s, yet
some U. S. citizens want to move to Canada due to political preferences. Likewise, the speaker in
Lucille Clifton s There is a girl inside wants youthfulness despite current elderliness, which contrasts
with the speaker in Clifton s in the inner city who ponders many times about another position, the
Uptown Girl, but maintains interest in the inner city due to the freedom and dangerousness correlated
with lower class downtown housing. Similarly, the speaker in Gwendolyn Brooks a song in the front
yard wants to reside in an impoverished area since it is free and wild. The speakers in Brooks and
Clifton s poems discuss how life is for people on the other side through contrasting ... Show more

The inner city dweller maintains an entertaining home life as the front yard speaker wishes to live in
the eventful back; the speakers vary their approach to sharing their view to convey their tone. Inner
city life is a happy (Clifton) time for the speaker as the several stores, community centers, offices, and
hotels keep her busy. Many people live downtown but their small apartments blend together creating a
no place (Clifton) atmosphere. This is dramatic irony as the speaker describes the uptown as a dead,
boring area when she calls her home a no place (Clifton). However, Clifton slides over this negative
notion as she mentions her inner city pride in her active peers, which she mentions indirectly when she
talks as we instead of I. On the other hand, the front yard speaker speaks through I (Brooks) to
emphasize her

Plato Illusion
Plato furthers his argument that initially the prisoner would resort back to his original frame of
thought because he is baffled by what he is seeing. The prisoner being liberated is new knowledge and
ideas being shed upon him. The sharp pains the prisoner is suffering from is the new information he
has been enlightened with and is now clashing with his old beliefs. The illusion he saw before was his
old beliefs and knowledge. It is referred to as an illusion because this new knowledge has now taken
place of his old knowledge, replacing it and ultimately making it non existent, hence the word illusion.
The clearer vision this prisoner gained is the enlightenment this new knowledge has given him, and he
is able to perceive things differently

Resolving conflict is a management strategy where businesses should learn to study and practice
conflict management skills to keep up a positive work environment (Reina, 2010).
Hitchcock Verheij (2006) stated that the Toulmin Model of Argumentation declares that most of the
arguments involve the following six elements:
1. Claim
2. Grounds
3. Warrant: A warrant connects the information with the grounds in response to the claim, which
legitimize the claim by depicting the grounds to be significant. The warrant answers the claim
question whether it is true or not
4. Backing: Backing (or support) for an argument gives additional support to the warrant by answering
different questions.
5. Qualifiers and reservations: the qualifier (or modal qualifier) indicates the strength of the leap from
the data to the warrant and may limit how universally the claim applies.
6. Rebuttal
Arguments in the workplace can be tricky yet there is a technique to solve them. Arguments can be
analyzed effectively by the use of the Toulmin Model of Argumentation.
Analyzing Conflict
Conflict is inevitable in human interactions. Identification and understanding the level of conflict and
how the conflict impacts the organization is necessary. Understand the conflict styles between the
parties and how it is interfering with their working relationship. The conflict style is important to

The Canadian Market And The American Market
Although the Canadian market has basically five big players taking over almost 80% of the market
share, it does not mean that the competition is weak. Comparing this information to the American
market, over 20 firms divide the same 80% of the market share. The economy and consumer habits in
both countries are also very different, which causes American companies to struggle when entering the
Canadian Market. Target, the American chain turned back and left Canada after an attempt to take a
portion of the Canadian market. Currently in Canada, due to the economic turndown and weaker
currency, food prices rose signifficantly. Fruit and vegetable prices rose 9% in 2015, while meat prices
rose 5%. Naturally it would be expected to have cut back on spending, or at least a movement towards
switching to lower cost products, but it actually did not happen in Canada. In fact, food prices have
been up in every one of the last six quarters. Meanwhile, Metro s same store sales have outpaced food
inflation over five of those quarters (The Motley Fool Canada, 2016). It means that Metro has been
able to sell more groceries at higher prices in spite of record inflation levels. Loblaw and Metro, two
of the major players of the industry have seen the share prices advancing higher this year, despite a
TSX decline of over 5%. These singularities of the Canadian market might impose a barrier for
international potential entrants, but the game never ends, the Canadian companies must

Transformer 5 The Last Knight
With Transformers 5: The Last Knight coming out next year, Autobot fans are getting anxious.
Anxious to find out what Josh Duhamel and the rest of the gang are going to be up against. Which is
why the cast of Michael Bay s movie is going to be huge.
Aside from giving off a medieval vibe, Transformers 5: The Last Knight is also giving off an elite
energy. With Josh Duhamel returning to the Transformers franchise as Lieutenant Colonel William
Lennox, Mark Wahlberg thinks this is going to be good.
In the middle of this year, the movie starts its production in Cuba and in Detroit. Recently, Bumblebee
is spotted cruising along the streets of London. But these guys are not the only ones in the movie. It
looks like John Turturro and John Goodman are also going to return to the franchise. Talk about a
reunion, cites Slash Film. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After skipping the recent film, he is coming back. However, it is unknown if he is still going to aid the
Autobots in their mission. And Turturro, who plays Agent Simmons in the first three movies is coming
on board to reprise his role too. As well as Goodman to voice Hound.
This smells like it is going to be a big reunion for everybody. With new cast members coming in such
as Anthony Hopkins and Laura Haddock, it looks like Bay s final hurrah. Director Michael Bay did
say that Transformers 5: The Last Knight is the fifth and final film he is going to direct. Which is most
likely why he is rounding up big names from the Age of Extinction.
Tyrese Gibson and Stanley Tucci are also coming back. Gibson reprises his role as Robert Epps. He is
on the Autobots side. While Tucci is coming back as Joshua Joyce. The guy responsible for Galvatron.
If you look closely, it looks like everybody from the whole franchise since the first movie is in it.
Except for Shia LaBeouf, that

Tuckman s Stages
The five stages of team development were first introduced by Bruce Wayne Tuckman in 1965. His
research into the way teams function and coordinate provided reoccurring trends towards very specific
points in the life of a team, which became the premises of each of the first four Tuckman s Stages. The
fifth stage was co created by Mary Ann Jensen over a decade later. The five stages discussed in this
essay are as follows: Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, and Adjourning.
The Forming stage begins when the team first meets with one another. This often corresponds to the
members greeting one another and introductions; Gina Abudi, president of Abudi Consulting Group
and a writer of many college textbooks on team structure, describes this

The Effects Of Cumulative Cultural Evolution On The Learning
Effects of Cumulative Cultural Evolution in Emulation Learning In the context of evolution, culture is
a shared system of socially transmitted behaviour that describes, defines, and guides people s ways of
life, communicated from one generation (Matsumoto, 2006, p. 220). Evolution has seen humans
attaining unique behavioural adaptations, that one cannot acquire in a single lifetime, cumulate over
generations (Henrich McElreath, 2003) and the accumulation of these successive cultural adaptations
across generations is cumulative cultural evolution (Boyd Richerdson, 1996). Laboratory studies on
cultural evolution have used microsocieties to simulate different generations in a population. In such
studies, participants are replaced with a naïve participant within their groups to symbolize the end of a
generation and this continues for a few generations (Baum, Richerson, Efferson, Paciotti, 2004). Many
cultural artefacts and practices share an essential characteristic of being accumulative (Tomasello,
Krugera, Ratner, 1993). Cumulative cultural evolution can occur when a generation makes adaptations
to a behavior learnt from the previous generation. The following generation, too, adapts the behavior,
and this continues across generations. This effect is believed to be attributable to processes of social
learning (Tennie, Call, Tomasello, 2009). Social learning theory proposes that individuals can learn in
a social context, for example, by observing others

  • 2. Similarities And Differences Of The Egyptian, Zhou... Midterm I INTRODUCTION In historic times, multiple Societies of people living and collaborating together in a community is what led to the formation of many Empires. Empires were comprised of similar groups of people that were most often geographically located within close proximities. It is interesting to compare and contrast three societies which became Empires: the Egyptian, Zhou Chinese, and Persian. Each Empire is responsible for contributing to a foundational advancement that has been used in future generations. I will compare the similarities and contrasts of each and explain why I believe the Persian Empire was the most successful Empire. I will start by addressing the primary similarities, which are that each Empire was responsible for innovating and creating things in the following areas of: mathematics, architecture, and philosophy. In contrast, the differences that existed were due to each Empire creating advancements and developments as a need from their respective demography, which means their environment and surroundings dictated the areas they excelled and innovated the most in. After researching these, I deemed the most successful Empire to be the one in which created the most widely used things throughout the entire world, and that are still in use today. Also, I determined the most important determining factor of an Empire being successful was if it had an acceptable democratic and equal societal philosophy. Thus, I found all these successful ... Reviewing persons in the legal field remains a head to toe scrutiny, since if your appearance portrays competence, until there exists a mishandling of the case or the client, their confidence in the firm remains solid. Upon studying the slides of the Professional Law Firm slides, the evaluation follows: Slide 1 appears to be a female junior attorney and a male junior attorney discussing a case in front of a male senior attorney in the law firm. The female attorney ensemble consists of a gray pinstriped suit jacket with a pale blue blouse. The males dressed formally, dark suits, both ties and hair view appropriate for their position. Abstract Contents Water the Future Water is vital for human survival, essential for the necessities of all life on earth; human health and functioning, the natural environment, vegetation, insects, livestock, and a requirement for future generations. With the population growing at alarming rates accompanied with resource depletion an accepted part of society; we are using and exceeding all natural resources we have left. Until we realize there is a vast shortage; by then it will be far too late. Scientists and researchers have stated that fresh water resources are running low worldwide, and are only expected to worsen over time as the population increases (Pearce, 2007), (Browns, Amazon books). Given the current trends of resource depletion and population increase, as much as two thirds of the world population in 2025 may be subject to moderate to high water stress, where only a small fraction of available renewable fresh water, less than 0.01 percent, is readily obtainable for the direct human use (United Nations, 1997a). Putting this in a simple explanation, no more of this available renewable fresh water (0.01 percent of all water) is available today than existed at the start of human civilization. So therefore as population increases and developments happen worldwide, there is no increase in this available ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Scarcity, a basic concept of economics, states that society has an insufficient amount of productive resources to fill all human wants and needs. The federal government fits into all of this by guiding the overall pace of economic activity. They attempt to do so by to maintaining a steady economic growth, high levels of employment, and price stability. This declaration would have remained true if unionization had not come to rise. Unions are recognized as organized associations of workers formed to protect and further worker rights and interests. Because of unions, Keynes argued that workers would not allow their wages to be lowered. Conspiracies often target the powerful from the position of the powerless, reaching to explain what otherwise is unexplainable, or unsatisfactory when explained. These are an important aspect of democratic society, even if some speculations can reach into the extremes of absurdity. Often, these conspiracy theories express discontent with government powers. The rise in conspiracy theories against the government, stemming from events such as the Kennedy assassination, led to a decrease in trust in federal intentions (Issitt and Newton). Although having read Matheson s review I can say this much. Lexie Matheson asks the interesting question of whether we really belong to this conversation. As I believe she is a transgender women? Obviously the answer is yes, that everyone is included in the discussion of feminism, as someone who has benefitted from the patriarchy most of their lives, the discussion is one that I take part in but am incredibly wary of, for I don t wish to offend or accidentally misrepresent the subject. Clare Croft s article talks about the physical responses to prompts, as she removes the word girl from rehearsals and gives them words such as bossy or scarred. With this she achieves a less hetero normative performance as it removed the idea s of femineity and gender. She also talks of the loudness of the male actors in comparison to the females, and how it draws the eye away. This also reflects things such as the Free the Nipple! movement of late. The mindset of sports has changed, and I like the direction its going in. The goal is to play harder, faster and longer with fewer injuries. However, I can see why people are frightened by this new adjustment. Athletes around the world might have become too big, too strong and too quick for their bodies. This tells us how sports science is creating a new generation of super athletes and what we can learn from them. Sports science is a discipline that studies how the body works during physical activity. An application of treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports medicine. • 31. The Anunciation And Expulsion From Paradise Summary Giovani di Paolo s The Annunciation and Expulsion from Paradise is currently in the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. According to the panel next to the artwork, the piece was finished in 1435 CE and made of tempera on panel. This Sienese altarpiece from the start of the Italian Renaissance shows the experimentation of form at that time. Giovanni di Paolo uses golden texture to display divinity, line to illustrate architectural perspective, and a strategic use of scale throughout the composition in order to portray the importance of the religious context. The golden foil that compliments tempera works at the time draws your eye to specific points in the piece. Drawing your eye to the upper left corner, the golden material then aids the eye in traveling down towards the bottom right corner. Because the largest golden form is in the upper right corner, your sight starts there. This is where god is represented and the symbol for divinity starts. Divinity implied by golden nimbuses or halos continue throughout the piece around the head of divine figures. The only two figures on the left without nimbuses represent Adam and Eve who are no longer divine one kicked out of paradise. This relates to the second part of the title, Expulsion from Paradise. For obvious cultural reasons, the angels have the heavenly halos. One angel is specifically known, Archangel Gabriel, because of the annunciation scene with Mary in the center. During our introductory discussion with the first group, we did not make mention of the sacrifice of the team captain until the very end of the game. Thus, we thought it would be fun to actually pick a team captain before beginning play, so that at the end of the game, we could tie in the importance of winning the game in order to avoid the sacrifice of the captain. This turned out to be a good decision because following the end of the game, we asked for team captains to step forward, we celebrated the winning team, and made mention of the terrible loss the losing team was about to experience. We filled them in on the news that their captain would now be sacrificed and explained why. This allowed us to conclude the game bringing in yet another fact about the Mayan culture and tradition. It also made the end of the game more entertaining and fun! Considering teamwork was the foundation of our game, we thought it would be best to divide the group in two equal halves. Because women played such an instrumental role in World War 1, the war became a time when women s roles that were previously thought to be mundane were finally acknowledged and respected, bringing a whole new level to women s empowerment. The Resurrection Of God s Glory Following the fall, mankind and the rest of creation are in an unnatural state of disorder, and mankind specifically is condemned to the reign of death and separation from God. However, through the Incarnation, Jesus Christ becomes human and begins to restore mankind to an elevated state, allowing for mankind and all of creation to serve as a full manifestation of God s glory. As beings created in the image and likeness of God, mankind is born into relation and unity as exemplified by the Holy Trinity. Mankind is not a strictly necessary being, but rather a being God chose to create so as to share His goodness and love, making mankind a true manifestation of God s glory. St. Bonaventure explains that God created all things not to increase His glory, but to show it forth and to communicate it. However, following the original sin, mankind enters a fallen state characterized by death and a separation from God. In this sinful state, mankind is no longer living as our fullest selves and is failing to exemplify God s true glory. Mankind still remains in this fallen state when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, joins Himself to creation and enters into humanity through the power of the Holy Spirit. • 52. The Canadian Market And The American Market Although the Canadian market has basically five big players taking over almost 80% of the market share, it does not mean that the competition is weak. Comparing this information to the American market, over 20 firms divide the same 80% of the market share. The economy and consumer habits in both countries are also very different, which causes American companies to struggle when entering the Canadian Market. Target, the American chain turned back and left Canada after an attempt to take a portion of the Canadian market. Currently in Canada, due to the economic turndown and weaker currency, food prices rose signifficantly. Fruit and vegetable prices rose 9% in 2015, while meat prices rose 5%. Naturally it would be expected to have cut back on spending, or at least a movement towards switching to lower cost products, but it actually did not happen in Canada. In fact, food prices have been up in every one of the last six quarters. Meanwhile, Metro s same store sales have outpaced food inflation over five of those quarters (The Motley Fool Canada, 2016). It means that Metro has been able to sell more groceries at higher prices in spite of record inflation levels. Loblaw and Metro, two of the major players of the industry have seen the share prices advancing higher this year, despite a TSX decline of over 5%. These singularities of the Canadian market might impose a barrier for international potential entrants, but the game never ends, the Canadian companies must ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Anxious to find out what Josh Duhamel and the rest of the gang are going to be up against. Which is why the cast of Michael Bay s movie is going to be huge. Aside from giving off a medieval vibe, Transformers 5: The Last Knight is also giving off an elite energy. And Turturro, who plays Agent Simmons in the first three movies is coming on board to reprise his role too. As well as Goodman to voice Hound. This smells like it is going to be a big reunion for everybody. With new cast members coming in such as Anthony Hopkins and Laura Haddock, it looks like Bay s final hurrah. Director Michael Bay did say that Transformers 5: The Last Knight is the fifth and final film he is going to direct. Which is most likely why he is rounding up big names from the Age of Extinction. Tyrese Gibson and Stanley Tucci are also coming back. Gibson reprises his role as Robert Epps. He is on the Autobots side. While Tucci is coming back as Joshua Joyce. • 54. Tuckman s Stages The five stages of team development were first introduced by Bruce Wayne Tuckman in 1965. His research into the way teams function and coordinate provided reoccurring trends towards very specific points in the life of a team, which became the premises of each of the first four Tuckman s Stages. The fifth stage was co created by Mary Ann Jensen over a decade later. The five stages discussed in this essay are as follows: Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, and Adjourning. The Forming stage begins when the team first meets with one another. This often corresponds to the members greeting one another and introductions; Gina Abudi, president of Abudi Consulting Group and a writer of many college textbooks on team structure, describes this ... • 55. The Effects Of Cumulative Cultural Evolution On The Learning Effects of Cumulative Cultural Evolution in Emulation Learning In the context of evolution, culture is a shared system of socially transmitted behaviour that describes, defines, and guides people s ways of life, communicated from one generation (Matsumoto, 2006, p. 220). Evolution has seen humans attaining unique behavioural adaptations, that one cannot acquire in a single lifetime, cumulate over generations (Henrich McElreath, 2003) and the accumulation of these successive cultural adaptations across generations is cumulative cultural evolution (Boyd Richerdson, 1996). Laboratory studies on cultural evolution have used microsocieties to simulate different generations in a population. In such studies, participants are replaced with a naïve participant within their groups to symbolize the end of a generation and this continues for a few generations (Baum, Richerson, Efferson, Paciotti, 2004). Many cultural artefacts and practices share an essential characteristic of being accumulative (Tomasello, Krugera, Ratner, 1993). Cumulative cultural evolution can occur when a generation makes adaptations to a behavior learnt from the previous generation. The following generation, too, adapts the behavior, and this continues across generations. This effect is believed to be attributable to processes of social learning (Tennie, Call, Tomasello, 2009). Social learning theory proposes that individuals can learn in a social context, for example, by observing others ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
