Advertisers Targeting Children in Asia
Several advertiser watercourse their work through the television with the intention of targeting
certain commercials to children and youth. Those commercials, consisting of the Bodoni junk
solid food advertising, have influenced the lives and wellness of children, according to studies.
This kind of advertising poses a menace to children, and yet food companies continue to present
these graphics extensively and purposely. Overweight and corpulency have reached epidemic
proportions in many Asia n countries (Ramachandran, 2010). Because of these trouble these

Opportunities At Amazon
Opportunities are meant to take advantage of once being noticed. Like how Amazon took notice
of its data in the early 2000 s, it needs to take notice of other opportunities that are laid before
them. The opportunities that they should continue to focus would be growth prospects e
commerce and strategic acquisitions. Growth prospects e commerce E commerce has continued
to be a business trend and it continued to grow in 2015. According to the data the Stefany
Zaroban got from the U.S. Commerce Department, the web sales in 2015 totaled $341.7 billion
for the year, a 14.6% increase over 2014 s $298.3 billion (Zaroban, 2016). This reveals that
Amazon would continue to have the chance to increase their sales as well as an increase to
bringing in more customers. According to the data that GlobalData received, U.S. had around
300 million internet users in the year 2014 which was an increase of 7% over the previous years
(GlobalData). These statistics show that with the increase of online shoppers every year and the
definite advance in technology in the future, more people will shop online than to go to retail
stores. Strategic Acquisitions According to Amazon s history and timeline, they were able to add
features to Amazon every year. Like in 2014 of December, they were able to add a one hour
delivery for prime members, add in HBO GO on Amazon Fire TV, Ultra HD Movies and TV
Shows on Amazon Instant Video, included in a Make an Offer for customers, and much more

Exodus And Deuteronomy
Reading about Moses in Exodus and Deuteronomy I realized that Moses was the central
character of the Old Testament and was the main character of the early books of the bible. In the
bible he was God s Chosen one as God chose him to be his specific messenger and/or mediator to
carry out certain tasks ordered by God. My paper will mainly focus on Mosesin regards to his
behaviors throughout Exodus and Deuteronomy and the challenges he has faced. I will focus and
reflect on his interactions and personal relationship with God and others throughout the bible.
Moses was chosen by God for many reasons, one reason including that he was very trustworthy
not only to God but to his people. He fought long and hard to obey God and teach the people of...

To see the relationship he had with God inspires many to find that same relationship with God in
today s society. The story of Moses is still important and looked upon today because of how much
hope, love, and even justice it demonstrated. Moses and God worked solely together and with that
there was hope, which helped them never give up especially when they tried to free the Israelites
from Pharaoh. After reading about Moses and Deuteronomy in many ways it brought back my
faith. It showed me how important it is to keep my faith and do not lose hope despite all the
challenges we face and it seems easier to just give up. I know that with my faith I can get
through it all, I look at what Moses had to endure and it is nothing compared to what I have
faced or gone through. In regards to the Ten Commandments, we still value them in our lives
today. We may not value them the way they did back in Moses time, but for me I look at them in
a way that helps me make certain decisions in life. In today s society we have used the story of
Exodus for many reasons throughout history; it is a story of freedom as the story of Moses show
how difficult to gain back their freedom. We have learned many lessons from Moses as he was the
greatest spiritual leader. We will continue to look upon his story to help us through certain aspect our

Ancient Egypt Geography
1.Give the geographical location of ancient Egypt from the general to the specifics of north, south,
east and west.
Ans: The geography of Ancient Egyptian was an interesting concept from the perspective of the
ancient Egyptians themselves. They believed their country was divided into two distinct
geographical sections, the black land known as the fertile banks of the river Nile and the red land
which is known as the barren desert that covered the rest of the country.
Ancient Egypt was in North Eastern Africa, which were formed and flourished along the lower
portion of the Nile River. It is made up most of what is now the modern Arab Republic of Egypt.

Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders are the three main column styles developed by the ancient
Greeks. These column styles still are used in buildings today. Doric is the simplest Greek
column. The column is plain, and it has no base. Doric columns often had statues of gods or
heroes on top of them. Ionic is taller than the Doric, and its surface has carved lines from top to
bottom. The base of an Ionic column looks like a stack of rings, and the capital on top of the
column looks like a giant scroll. Corinthian, like Ionic, has carved lines from top to bottom on its
surface and a base that looks like a stack of rings. The capital of Corinthian columns, however, has
flowers and leaves below a small scroll, making Corinthian columns the most decorative of all the
Greek column types. Doric is the shortest of the Greek columns. The height of a Doric column is
five and a half times its width. The height of an Ionic column is nine times the width of the column.
The height of a Corinthian column is 10 times its width, making it the tallest of the Greek columns.
The Parthenon in Athens, Greece, is the most famous building with Doric columns. The Temple of
Athens on the Acropolis is the most famous Ionic building. The Temple of the Sybil in Rome is a
good example of Corinthian

Achievements And Goals Of Captain William Kidd
William Kidd
William Kidd ran away from home when he was 7. After fending for himself 20 years later he
became a high ranking privateer. How did he become so successful with such a rough childhood?
Some say he had to steal food from vendors. All we know is he was a miracle both when sailing
and when fending for himself at a very young age. My biography is about the Beginning, Ending,
Achievements, and Goals of Captain William Kidd.
Captain William Kidd was born in Greenock, Scotland during 1654(?). He had a light red hair
and considerably short. When he turned 7 he ran from home because of his father s death. After
20 years in New York, Lord Bellemont recruited Kidd as a young privateer. When he first started

Allegories In Dante Alighieri
About everything in life has a deeper meaning and it can be found with just a touch of creativity.
But the ability to construct the meaning into literature takes so much more talent. That s where the
average authors get weeded out from the great. Dante Alighieri is one of these great authors and it
shows in his writing. He uses an abundance of allegories throughout his books making the reader
overthink every word. In his book Inferno, Dante Alighieridescriptively crafts three allegories of
Francesca, the city of Florence, and Dante s journey to incorporate hidden symbolism and meaning
submerged underneath the cover story of Dante s version of Hell.
Every once in a while it s necessary to take a step back, evaluate your life, and look at the bigger
picture, which is what Dante did when he toured Hell. Dante Alighieri makes it obvious that
Florence is Dante s Hell on earth by the way he incorporates all the negativity. Dante Alighieri s
description of Florence leaves the readers to believe the city is in political ruins. There are so
many sinners living there and Dante shows this when he says, But tell me, if you can, where
they ll all end,/ the citizens of that divided town?/ Is there amongst them any honest man?
(Alighieri 51) to paint a picture of how he views Florence. The beginning of the quote allows the
readers to interpret that Dante doesn t have much confidence that they will go to heaven, rather
he suggests that because of this indecisiveness that they will later be found in Hell. He used the
word divided to show that there is a big controversy, which split the city of Florence, as he
explains in the quote. The second sentence flat out states that he doesn t believe that there is a
single honest man left and this is shown because of how he punctuates the end of the sentence
with a question mark. This proves that Dante considers Florence as Hell because of all the sinners
there. If he doesn t think he could find a single innocent person there, then it is basically equivalent
to Hell, which Dante doesn t want to live in. All the depreciation of Florence shows that Dante
doesn t want to live there and considers the city the trail that s directly feeding sinners to Hell.

Dr. Frankl s The Existential Crisis
Dr. Viktor Frankl experienced an extreme traumatic event that most of us cannot even dream of
happening. Dr. Frankl was a victim of the Nazi Concentration Camps for years and was
continuously tortured mentally, physically, and emotionally. From having little to no food to
having barely any clothes to wear during the wintertime, Dr. Frankl survived what the world
witness as the most horrific genocide it had and has ever seen. One can understand how it would
be so easy for someone to lose sight of what the meaning of lifeis to them and to give up on it
completely. When surrounded by constant death and suffering, what meaning is left when a person
is condemned to death? When discussing existentialism, there are a few different ways that the term
can be defined. Frankl believed that existentialism could be defined as existence itself, as what
existence means, and it can also be defined as struggling to find meaning in one s personal
existance (Frankl, 1959). An existential crisis occurs when someone questions the meaning of
his or her life. No matter where a person is in life, there is always a chance of experiencing an
existential crisis, or crisis or meaning, when an individual is faced with the concept of death
(Robbins, Chatterjee, Canda, 2012). Another way that a person can experience existential crises is
when they are challenged to establish a sense of self and what they believe the meaning of their
life is (Robbins, Chatterjee, Canda, 2012). In his book Man s

Anthony Ingracia Cpt.Griffin English 303 AP 9 February 2011 Coming of Age A Portrait of the
Artist as a Young Man is a complete work of art, complete in the sense that it gives such great
insight to human nature and the people of the world. The title is essentially what this novel
represents. The coming of age is represented like a portrait because it takes a long time, with
many different attempts, to reach the final work of art. In even greater context, the protagonist
experiences a series of epiphanies in which he gains insight into his own nature and into the people
of the world. In the main characters coming of age there are crucial components that are lost and

The fact that the temptations are still there though worries him, and he wonders if he has really
corrected himself. Stephen then faces many problems, from home to school, where he begins to
question faith and religion once again. This is where the second epiphany comes in. After some
thought Stephen decides that he must pursue his ambitions and live his life freely without
inhibitions. Throughout Stephen s early life the idea of art is almost lost for him. Stephen
always has the idea of art in his mind and can be considered his one true love. The ambition of art
did not always influence his thinking and ideals until later in his teenage years. The challenges
and mental boundaries he experiences can contribute to the artist he wants to become, therefore
making him very open minded artist with traditional Irish roots. Stephen was a confused boy who
was on his own personal pursuit of happiness. Stephen was fortunate enough to realize that the
choices he made before adulthood would effect the rest of his life. With that in mind, Stephen s
coming of age causes him to lose some things, while at the same time gaining others. The main
part of Stephens coming of age was his transformation between one of religious conformity and
one free of inhibitions as an artist. I mean, said Stephen, that I was not myself as I am now, as I

The University Of The Ozarks
The Student Government Association, a student lead organization aimed to improve the campus
community, has established several goals they would like to accomplish during the current school
year, 2015 2016. In order to determine these goals and objectives, two detailed persona profiles
were created which provided the association with a better understanding of their audiences and how
to best communicate with them. The publics were divided into two groups, students pertaining to
the senate and students pertaining to the student body. Therefore, the next stage consists in
performing research regarding the goals SGA has established by conducting surveys and focus
groups on campus. As mentioned previously, SGA works closely with two different publics. The
first and primary publics are the officers and senators of the association, whereas the second
publics consist of the rest of the student body at the University of the Ozarks. The characteristic
which differentiate the first from the second public is that senators and officers work as the
intermediary between the student body and the Board of Trustee and President. Nonetheless, both
persona profiles describe students that are involved in the various campus activities and show
interest in the different school related affairs. These types of students do not sit back and blindly
accept the changes made on campus, but actively take part in the decisions making role. Although
the final decisions or outcomes might not always follow the

Common Misconceptions About Video Games
Shigeru Miyamoto, a legendary video game developer, expressed his thoughts on video games,
Video games are bad for you? That s what they said about rock n roll. There have been common
misconceptions about video games being a bad influence on children due to their violent content
they can have and leading children to be more violent. Miyamoto disagree with this
misconception using rock n roll as an example. He stated just like how rock n roll was considered
bad in the past generation.therefore the current generation of children and adults will not be
affected by video games in a detrimental way. There have been many case studies disapproving
this myth about how video games are bad for children. Video games can be a future educational

However, these misconceptions are debunked by news sources such as PBS. Henry Jenkins, an
MIT Professor, wrote a list of reasons on video games myths on the PBS website. He believes the
link between youth violence and video games are merely a coincidence, because in the modern
age, more and more of today s youth are connected to social media and technology, and it really
depends on the person s mental stability. There has been research on how the more aggressive
people enjoy playing more aggressive games like the aforementioned game, Doom, and that there
are no conclusions that link video games to change normal people to killers. Incidentally, these
misconceptions of youth violences linked to video games are still commonly believed today by
a small group of people around the word despite the growing popularity of video games in
modern day culture. All things considered, video games can be used as an educational tool in
providing a lesson in educational facilities.I will go over how video games can be used in
education and also how it can be applied to academic core subjects such as history and also in non

Canadian Drug Coverage
Addressing Gaps in Canadian Drug Coverage
According to Morgan and Boothe (2016), Canada s medicare system is the only one among
developed countries that has universal public health insurance but does not also have universal
prescription drug coverage. The amount of out of pocket (OOP) spending is an immense burden
for many Canadians, accounting for 34.3% of private expenditures, (Hennessey et al., 2016); and in
Ontario, one in three people do not have employer provided health insurance (Barnes Anderson,
2015). Moreover, cost related non adherence to prescription drugs is associated with low income
households , which may lead to poorer avoidable outcomes such as: increasing hospital admissions,
worsening disease, and growing overall ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Patients that are unable to follow prescriptions as ordered, related to lack of coverage, escalate
stress on the health care system; increasing physician and emergency department visits, which may
have been avoidable if the medications were covered for all Canadians (Lexchin, 2017). There are
various socio political barriers to implementing a universal drug coverage plan in Canada. Primarily,
the federal government s Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB), controls prescription
and non prescription prices by making comparisons of across seven selected Organization of
Economic Co Operation and Development (OECD) countries (Tang, Ghali, Manns, 2014).
However, these OECD comparative countries have higher medication prices. In fact, four of the
seven OECD countries have the most expensive prices worldwide; consequently increasing
Canadian prescription pricing. According to Morgan and Boothe (2016), another barrier to
universal drug coverage in Canada stems from pharmacare s initially low place on the policy
agenda (p. 249). Healthy public policy development requires synergy between the public, policy
makers, and institutions alike. If universal drug coverage has less attention than other health policy
debates a political change is less likely to occur (p. 251).
A few key stakeholders include government, physicians, pharmaceutical and insurance companies,
nurses and patients. Firstly, the government plays a significant role in the

Importance Of Political Egalitarianism
Political egalitarianism is the essential principle of any democratic society. All citizens have
equal conditions for participation in political life. However, the reality is that the principle of
political equality of citizens coexists with the social hierarchy that has developed around the socio
professional categories, the level of education and income, classes and etc. Because we consider
democracy as the only right way of governing people it is important to understand what makes
some participate and the others to stay away from the whole process. Income can be one of the
major factors that affects participation and needs to be studied in details. In particular, this work
compares how people with different economic situations participate in the society, specifically
whether they try to help to solve problems in the community if they ask help from government
officials and etc. It also examines other factors like trust in the political system, trust in the election,
and believe that politicians listen to the needs of people. Many studies on different countries have
established that the greater economic status of the individuals corresponds to greater political
participation. Political commitment is quite rigidly subordinates to the following logic: a certain
social and economic position that evokes a sense of social and political competence generates a
certain level of political participation. Understanding political participation presupposes the ability
to understand

George Washington Carver s Contributions To Society
Have you ever heard of The Peanut Man. I will be explaining George Washington Carver in these

In this essay I will discuss how George Washington Carvermade contributions to society that

First, I will discuss how Carver made discoveries to help people. In his article the author states

thirteen individual states that had to vote to ratify or reject the Constitution. Within these thirteens
states, there were two groups that consisted of the Federalists and the Antifederalists. The
Federalists supported the Constitution; however, the Antifederalists opposed the Constitution. The
Federalists were led by an individual by the name of Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton was thought of

the Federalists main points of discussion were a strong national government and commercial
growth of the nation, along with financial policies that revolved around central banks. The
Antifederalists were obviously opposed to the Constitution, and they were in full support of the
Articles of Confederation. The Antifederalists leaders, like Patrick Henry, believed the Constitution
challenged individual s liberty. The Antifederalists acted in factions. As the Federalists believed in a
strong central government, the Antifederalists thought this would get in the way of state
sovereignty. Furthermore, other factions within the Antifederalists believed a strong, central
government would reflect the government of Great Britain, in which they were trying to get away
from. Patrick Henry publicly spoke out against the Constitution claiming it would give the States
very limited power. The Constitution was to contain a president, army, and the power to tax. Henry

the small town of Delia in Alberta but their farm is suffering and their lives are suffering because
of the Great Depression. They have lived in poverty for as long as he could remember, so he, like
many other boys in that time had to be creative and imaginative.
School was nearing the end of the year, and he and his best friend Digger had nothing to look
forward to. Diggers father had noticed and he gave the boys an old .22 to work on because the barrel
was crooked. Pip and Digger had worked on the thing for weeks and when they were done, it looked
funny so they carved the handle to look like an old Colt ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Phillip thought that he might be still alive, in the form of Raspinsky! So Pip did a lot of research
and settled the Raspinsky was definitely Rasputin. A few weeks later, Pip gained enough courage
to go up to the blacksmith and ask him. Right before he was going to knock on the door of the
shop he heard the voices of two people, (One which was Raspinskys) and another voice in
Russian. So he found a hole in the wall and he looked through but he could not see anyone because
they were behind him! A the Russian man grabbed Pip and pulled him into the shop and asked why
he was spying on them and he just told them the truth that he thought Raspinsky was Rasputin and
Rasputin was trying to escape death by fleeing to Canada.
The blacksmith said he was amazed by how much Phillip knew about him and he told Pip that if
he told anybody that he would have to kill him. Phillip felt like he grew a foot taller! The next
day, he heard that the police were coming to get Raspinsky because he murdered somebody in
Manitoba. But it was just a lie made up by the town s boys because they were scared of him and
they wanted their old blacksmith back. The Mounties still believed the boys, and they took off to
go arrest Raspinsky.
Phillip got on his horse and he rode as fast as he could to town to warn Raspinsky. When he
arrived, he rode to the other side of the

inspired many songs and artists up until today. As Ray became a more experienced artist that
had been known for a while he appealed to a young audience who were more accepting of black
young artists unlike some older people who were against artists of other races. By the time he

The Theme Of Power In The Veldt By Ray Bradbury
Julia Sherman
November 10, 2017
English Pd. 6
The Veldt Thematic Essay When considering reasons for a power or control shift in a relationship
between a parent and child, one of the most common reasons considered is the fact that parents are
giving kids too much too soon. As a parent gives these things, literal objects and figurative things,
too soon, they are actually letting the power in their relationship shift and giving the kids more
control. In The Veldt, the author, Ray Bradbury, emphasizes the theme with dialogue and tone. In
the short story, George and Lydia Hadley, and their two children Peter and Wendy, are living in a
smart house, where almost everything gets done for them. The quote, But I thought we that s
why we bought this house, so we wouldn t have to do anything? shows how little they have to do
to have everything nice and keep a good home. The children have grown up not doing anything;
they do not even paint their own pictures. The children do not do their own laundry, make their
own beds, or bathe themselves. Their lives are so simple, and all they spend their days doing is
looking, listening, and smelling. The children enjoy not participating in life, but merely spectating
it. Peter and Wendy not only get this literally, but they also figuratively get the freedom to come
and go as they please. Now, they may enjoy all of these things, but each thing or freedom which
Wendy and Peter receive is another piece of power that the parents once had

The Catholic Christians belief on Canonization and the Scripture writings have a difference
according to Paul and the letters he wrote. Canonization is a process that is used by the churches to
name Saints, the churches have utilized this since the nineteenth century. This has been done over
and over for several years. It began with the early church, first martyrs then the public claim did the
choosing of these saints; however, this way was thought to be democratic despite the information

They believed in confessing their sins to other people in the hope of being prayed for and

However, the controversy against this is that there is no scripture in the Bible in support of this

Another scientific discovery that the media of the times misinterpreted was the cure for scurvy.
James Lind first published his cure for scurvy in 1753; yet, It wasn t until 1795, 42 years later,

of that denial of Lind s theory, the British suffered serious consequence[s] of scurvy typified by the
experience of the British Royal Navy during the war torn eighteenth century, in which scurvy killed
more British navy seamen than enemy action (McBride 159). McBride

My Experience Of Art
Since elementary school I have envisioned my life deeply intertwined with art, however, at the
same time I also knew that vision never had me living out the stereotype of a starving artist
either. As a child my understanding of artist in the work force was nothing more than the
clichГ© vision, of a paint covered artist smearing vivid hues on a canvas and then rushing to the
nearest art gallery to sell their work. I didn t know anything of the vast opportunities for artist or
even how abundantly art is used throughout our society. Maybe this was due to the fact I was
never one of those kids who know what they wanted to be since they were three. Nevertheless, I
always had a passion to create, even when I was determined to become the next Thomas Edison, I
was looking for an outlet to create. By the time third grade would roll around though, it would be
made evident that art in its most traditional since of drawingand painting would be the outlet I was
always looking for. Understanding my niche in the creative world would take me over a decade of
self evaluation, inspiration, and research.
I never started out saying I was going to be an artist, I still did a child s fair share of doodles and
finger painting but it was never anything that raptured my attention. However, this would all
change on Christmas Eve, when my grandmother presented me with a book entitled How to Draw

The Importance Of Proper Representation Of Data
Abstract This paper discusses the importance of proper representation of data that is mined from
social media. The need for data mining and its various advantages are also discussed. The standard
tasks involved in data mining are explained. The discussion illuminates the various techniques that
can be used for representing the data (Textual representation, Tables, Graphs, Infographic). Draws
attention to the useful applications of data miningin varying degrees and illustrates the benefit of
this powerful technology. Suggests use of data visualization tools like Tableau, Qlikview to
evaluate, analyze and identify important parameters to gain deeper insights from the plethora of
data mined from social media.
Introduction
The widespread use of social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn have
been generating large amounts of data which are interchangeably known as social data. This data is
usually user generated, inconsistent, and incomplete and have geo information. This data can be
used by researchers or companies to extract meaningful information about human behavior, product
consumption, trends in markets, etc. Extraction and study of this data for useful purposes is called
data mining of social media. Since the number of techniques used to mine data are increasing
rapidly with time, it has become imperative to represent the data in a form which can be easily
understood. Data mining may consist of the following stages. First, data is extracted,

Comparison Of Two Creation Stories
Daniyar Sadyk
Paper #1; Topic #4
1+1: Completion and Justification
Creation stories have shaped the way people come to see gender relations. While some have
formed egalitarian viewpoints, most of the people have supported hierarchical notions. The reason
for this division is the existence of two different creation stories that are contradicting each other.
And the real question is not if there are differences or not. But if there is a purpose to these
differences? Indeed, there is. First, men have used Creation 2 to justify their actions and to keep
the patriarchal system working. Second, these two stories simply complete each other. With the
second story, Genesis became an excuse for men to rule over the women. In the first story, God

Genesis 1 has a broad outline which shows how God created the Earth. The author gives a general
account of the creation. Genesis 1 does not have any detailed information in it, but rather some
overview on what happened. However, people want to know not just how our world was created,
but also how exactly humankind came to life. And Genesis 2 successfully explains how God
created man from the dust, and woman from the man s ribs. It has many details that the first story
does not. Therefore, it is easy to conclude that the first story is more chronological and general,
whereas the second one is topical. The first story summarizes the whole process, while the second
is more specific about man and his environment. Moreover, the second story could never be the
only creation story because it does not have a sufficient information needed to explain how God
created the Earth. For example, there is no mention of the creation of the day and night. There are
no explanations how the oceans and fish were generated. Clearly, these two stories are
complementary as they are supplying each other s

Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote his short story Young Goodman Brown in 1835 with what seems like
the intentions of gothic and romance features. However, looking further into the story of Young
Goodman Brown, it is clear to see that there is a possibility that the imagery displayed can lead to
some interesting theories behind Hawthorne s purpose, imagery, and symbolism in the text.

Still today there is disagreements over the short story Young Goodman Brown, but Michael Tritt
believes the psychology can give a good explanation for the true meaning. Tritt states in his
journal, none adequately examined this phenomenon of colouring (projection) as it is defined by
psychology to support his opinion that no one has thought to use psychology to get an
understanding of Young Goodman Brown (Tritt 114). Most readers assume that the emotions of
Brown are from his subconscious and guilt that is within him, but Tritt believes it to be defined
as a case of projection. Projection is defined in the journal is as follows: a person is projecting
when he ascribes to another person a trait or desire of his own that would be painful of his ego to
admit. Since the act of projecting is an unconscious mechanism, it is not communicated to others
nor is it even recognized as a projection by the person himself...(Tritt 114). Projection would allow a
much more personal relationship with the story and create an important connection between
literature and reader. Imagery is used throughout the whole story of Young Goodman Brown, but
Richard Predmore believes that Brown s experience should include to be seen as sense of
unconsciousness. Richard Predmore wrote the journal Lachrymal Imagery in Hawthorne s Young
Goodman Brown to discuss the relationship between allegorical, moral, philosophical, and

Security And Beyond Information Technology
To I.T. Security Beyond
Information technology has become a very dominant and ever growing industry in today s market.
People have taken notice of it, and thus have invested quite heavily into it. Everyone is going online
nowadays, more than ever before, but this is not just limited to people. Financial/Educational
institutions, and various companies are all online in one form or another; being interconnected to
the internet of everything. A prominent aspect of information technology is security, and it has been
attracting a lot of attention as of late. IT Security has garnered many companies and individuals to
invest so much into it; that it has essentially created an industry of its own. However, can all of this
investment in IT Security really be justified? Let it be known that the internet is not secure. It was
originally created by the US military for communication purposes, and since then has grown into
network upon networks of computers and computer systems, for everyone to use. With the
exponential growth that the internet has taken on, it s very hard to make it as secure as one would
like. However, there are measures and protocols that are put in place to do just that, secure the
internet. The internet is a combination of equipment, protocols and people, that when put together

question that should be asked is why do you blush. Considering that you are reading this you are
probably of the human race. In animals this trait is hard to find even in our close primate like
cousins. Through research it can be suggested that humans adapted the act of blushing for
several reasons, and it may also appear to be a side effect of something bigger. Of these possible
reasons are to cue a point or alert others of a social experience that had just occurred, be due to

We all know that we blush in our faces, but we also blush through several other parts of our
body. Following what was said earlier in the above paragraph blood vessels when we encounter
strong emotions and prepare to do something tedious. However, there is a distinct difference
difference between the blush that occurs when exercising and experiencing the blush which
comes with psychological issues. When you exercise, you are obviously going to exert your
body for an extended period of time. Humans have been able to change the flow of blood which
may very well help them be more effective in their current activity. We take the blood that was
flowing to organs such as the stomach and so on and move them to the muscles that we are
currently using. We appear a brighter color of red due to the increase of blood flow to the
muscles that are receiving blood closer to the surface of the skin. This may happen around our
arms, legs, torso, neck, and especially our face. Moving on to the possible side of our
psychological blushing, it happens for two main reasons. We enter into a mode that was
programed into us since the day we were born. It is the fight or flight theory. Similar to
exercising but more to the extreme. This is the idea that when we are under extreme stress that
we either confront (fight) the point of our stress, or move away (run) from it. We enter a state
like earlier explained when we move blood from our organs to our muscles. The reason there is a
difference between the two is how far it could possibly go on. We humans obviously know when
to stop exercising even when we get rushes of adrenaline. When we go into the fight or flight mode
we have such a large amount of adrenaline that we tend to forget the huge amount of stress our
organs are under going. While we do show signs of high amounts of blushing, it isn t all beauty.
With the huge amount of stress you

Similarities Between The Beatles and Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd and the Beatles had more in common then they re often credited. Both bands members
were raised in the United Kingdom. The original framework for The Beatles was conspired by the
best friends, John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Likewise, Pink Floyd was created by best friends
Nick Mason and Roger Waters. By the same token, both bands were founded while the members
received their education. World War II was a pin point in each of the band members lives, if not
directly affecting them, then they were affected through their parents. Ironically, the two bands
were also branded for the sixties, largely the Beatleswho were believed to be an instrument,

This was the least of the confusion, the two bands matters were in original instrument choice
among the members, music style, the band members themselves, and at last the band names.
Coincidentally, both bands lost a member who motivated the group; Stuart Sutcliffe for the Beatles,
and Syd Barrett mentally handicapped before Pink Floyd s success. The most common factor for
the two United Kingdom, sixties era bands is that they both succeeded. With so many
coincidences, the bands also have their contrasting factors. The Beatles on one hand were largely
public, acquiring names such as the Quarry Men, instead Pink Floyd was underground and
frolicked with names like T Set or Abdabs. Large differences between the two bands are their
rises in popularity. For Pink Floyd s underground scene, they were not at the peak of their
popularity in America until the early seventies; The Beatles were into the Pop Culture which gave
them leeway to high popularity. The war and Counterculture provided the Beatles a great
opportunity to experiment with their music, while Pink Floyd changed largely because Barrett
wanted to try mystique music which suited the culture a smidge better than the blues. Because the
controversial rises of fame, the bands trademark movies were created in totally different
generations; Yellow Submarine was released in 1968, Pink Floyd s The Wall was released in 1982.

Like I stated in my introduction Charlie joined the army so that they wouldn t be kicked out of
their house. Tommo wanted to join the army too and wasn t going to let others talk him out of
it. Charlie lying to the sergeant is acceptable in this circumstance and also helps prove breaking
the rules in certain scenarios is okay. Page number is 107. Charlie was asked to put a bag over
his head however he didn t want to lose his dignity or honour. Breaking the rules here showed
the courage he had at that certain. It was important for that Charlie didn t wimp out and put a
bag over his head. Also, Charlie left the bag off his head to remind the gunman of what he has
done and give him a sense of remorse. Page number is 184. Breaking the rules in this circumstance
was important because it he was protecting his brother Tommo. He did it because the Sargent was
working Tommo too hard to the point of unconsciousness. Breaking the rules here is certainly okay
because his was protecting his brother, however if it wasn t his brother the circumstances wouldn t
change. This incidence helps my overall argument Are there some contexts where it s acceptable to

Cognate Strategies Essay
Cognate strategies are ways that writing can help the audience understand what the information is
and how to gain best the information required to understand it best. In this writing assignment, I
will be describing five strategies that are a part of the cognate strategies way of thinking. I will be
using personal examples for each of these to help give a clearexplanation of the information
The first of these is the also the first showcased in the book, Clarity. This strategy is based on a
need to explain clearly what the speech or article is about. This is used to cut through the
Jargons and clichГ©s that often plaque or work lives and explain the information cleanly. Using
Clarity, all involved can understand what is needed to be done without a communication barrier.
My example for this was when I turned my two week notice in for my first job. I wrote down
exactly why I was leaving and ways that the store could improve in some areas to avoid others
leaving.
Conciseness is the next of the strategies and one that I have spent a lot of time using myself. The
main point of being conscious is to have key points when being any speech or writing for business.
This can often be found in the opening of the article or speech to showcase what the key parts of ...

By speaking clearly and using non jargon words the message is clear to understand. Through the
use of consciousness, you can guide people to the points of your work and give them a map to your
speech. In the combination of this is the Emphasis and Engagement that any good speaker uses to
connect with the audience. By bringing attention to the words that you wish to use, and the
engagement between the groups any speaker can deliver a clear message. Last of these is the tone
of your speech either light hearted or serious this gives importance to the message without having to
openly state such a

Like how Amazon took notice of its data in the early 2000 s, it needs to take notice of other opportunities that are laid before them. The opportunities that they should continue to focus would be growth prospects e commerce and strategic acquisitions. Growth prospects e commerce E commerce has continued to be a business trend and it continued to grow in 2015. According to the data the Stefany Zaroban got from the U.S. Commerce Department, the web sales in 2015 totaled $341.7 billion for the year, a 14.6% increase over 2014 s $298.3 billion (Zaroban, 2016). According to the data that GlobalData received, U.S. had around 300 million internet users in the year 2014 which was an increase of 7% over the previous years (GlobalData). In the bible he was God s Chosen one as God chose him to be his specific messenger and/or mediator to carry out certain tasks ordered by God. My paper will mainly focus on Mosesin regards to his behaviors throughout Exodus and Deuteronomy and the challenges he has faced. The story of Moses is still important and looked upon today because of how much hope, love, and even justice it demonstrated. Moses and God worked solely together and with that there was hope, which helped them never give up especially when they tried to free the Israelites from Pharaoh. After reading about Moses and Deuteronomy in many ways it brought back my faith. It showed me how important it is to keep my faith and do not lose hope despite all the challenges we face and it seems easier to just give up. I know that with my faith I can get through it all, I look at what Moses had to endure and it is nothing compared to what I have faced or gone through. In regards to the Ten Commandments, we still value them in our lives today. We may not value them the way they did back in Moses time, but for me I look at them in a way that helps me make certain decisions in life. In today s society we have used the story of Exodus for many reasons throughout history; it is a story of freedom as the story of Moses show how difficult to gain back their freedom. Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders are the three main column styles developed by the ancient Greeks. These column styles still are used in buildings today. Doric is the simplest Greek column. The column is plain, and it has no base. Doric columns often had statues of gods or heroes on top of them. Ionic is taller than the Doric, and its surface has carved lines from top to bottom. The base of an Ionic column looks like a stack of rings, and the capital on top of the column looks like a giant scroll. Corinthian, like Ionic, has carved lines from top to bottom on its surface and a base that looks like a stack of rings. • 8. Allegories In Dante Alighieri About everything in life has a deeper meaning and it can be found with just a touch of creativity. But the ability to construct the meaning into literature takes so much more talent. That s where the average authors get weeded out from the great. Dante Alighieri is one of these great authors and it shows in his writing. He uses an abundance of allegories throughout his books making the reader overthink every word. In his book Inferno, Dante Alighieridescriptively crafts three allegories of Francesca, the city of Florence, and Dante s journey to incorporate hidden symbolism and meaning submerged underneath the cover story of Dante s version of Hell. Every once in a while it s necessary to take a step back, evaluate your life, and look at the bigger picture, which is what Dante did when he toured Hell. Dante Alighieri makes it obvious that Florence is Dante s Hell on earth by the way he incorporates all the negativity. Dante Alighieri s description of Florence leaves the readers to believe the city is in political ruins. There are so many sinners living there and Dante shows this when he says, But tell me, if you can, where they ll all end,/ the citizens of that divided town?/ Is there amongst them any honest man? (Alighieri 51) to paint a picture of how he views Florence. The beginning of the quote allows the readers to interpret that Dante doesn t have much confidence that they will go to heaven, rather he suggests that because of this indecisiveness that they will later be found in Hell. He used the word divided to show that there is a big controversy, which split the city of Florence, as he explains in the quote. The second sentence flat out states that he doesn t believe that there is a single honest man left and this is shown because of how he punctuates the end of the sentence with a question mark. This proves that Dante considers Florence as Hell because of all the sinners there. If he doesn t think he could find a single innocent person there, then it is basically equivalent to Hell, which Dante doesn t want to live in. All the depreciation of Florence shows that Dante doesn t want to live there and considers the city the trail that s directly feeding sinners to Hell. Everyone commits sins ... • 9. Dr. Frankl s The Existential Crisis Dr. Viktor Frankl experienced an extreme traumatic event that most of us cannot even dream of happening. Dr. Frankl was a victim of the Nazi Concentration Camps for years and was continuously tortured mentally, physically, and emotionally. From having little to no food to having barely any clothes to wear during the wintertime, Dr. Frankl survived what the world witness as the most horrific genocide it had and has ever seen. One can understand how it would be so easy for someone to lose sight of what the meaning of lifeis to them and to give up on it completely. When surrounded by constant death and suffering, what meaning is left when a person is condemned to death? When discussing existentialism, there are a few different ways that the term can be defined. Frankl believed that existentialism could be defined as existence itself, as what existence means, and it can also be defined as struggling to find meaning in one s personal existance (Frankl, 1959). An existential crisis occurs when someone questions the meaning of his or her life. No matter where a person is in life, there is always a chance of experiencing an existential crisis, or crisis or meaning, when an individual is faced with the concept of death (Robbins, Chatterjee, Canda, 2012). Another way that a person can experience existential crises is when they are challenged to establish a sense of self and what they believe the meaning of their life is (Robbins, Chatterjee, Canda, 2012). Anthony Ingracia Cpt.Griffin English 303 AP 9 February 2011 Coming of Age A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man is a complete work of art, complete in the sense that it gives such great insight to human nature and the people of the world. The title is essentially what this novel represents. The coming of age is represented like a portrait because it takes a long time, with many different attempts, to reach the final work of art. In even greater context, the protagonist experiences a series of epiphanies in which he gains insight into his own nature and into the people of the world. In the main characters coming of age there are crucial components that are lost and gained, which can be derived from his love of family, religion,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The fact that the temptations are still there though worries him, and he wonders if he has really corrected himself. Stephen then faces many problems, from home to school, where he begins to question faith and religion once again. This is where the second epiphany comes in. After some thought Stephen decides that he must pursue his ambitions and live his life freely without inhibitions. Throughout Stephen s early life the idea of art is almost lost for him. Stephen always has the idea of art in his mind and can be considered his one true love. The ambition of art did not always influence his thinking and ideals until later in his teenage years. The University Of The Ozarks The Student Government Association, a student lead organization aimed to improve the campus community, has established several goals they would like to accomplish during the current school year, 2015 2016. In order to determine these goals and objectives, two detailed persona profiles were created which provided the association with a better understanding of their audiences and how to best communicate with them. The publics were divided into two groups, students pertaining to the senate and students pertaining to the student body. Therefore, the next stage consists in performing research regarding the goals SGA has established by conducting surveys and focus groups on campus. As mentioned previously, SGA works closely with two different publics. The first and primary publics are the officers and senators of the association, whereas the second publics consist of the rest of the student body at the University of the Ozarks. The characteristic which differentiate the first from the second public is that senators and officers work as the intermediary between the student body and the Board of Trustee and President. Nonetheless, both persona profiles describe students that are involved in the various campus activities and show interest in the different school related affairs. These types of students do not sit back and blindly accept the changes made on campus, but actively take part in the decisions making role. There has been research on how the more aggressive people enjoy playing more aggressive games like the aforementioned game, Doom, and that there are no conclusions that link video games to change normal people to killers. • 16. Canadian Drug Coverage Addressing Gaps in Canadian Drug Coverage According to Morgan and Boothe (2016), Canada s medicare system is the only one among developed countries that has universal public health insurance but does not also have universal prescription drug coverage. The amount of out of pocket (OOP) spending is an immense burden for many Canadians, accounting for 34.3% of private expenditures, (Hennessey et al., 2016); and in Ontario, one in three people do not have employer provided health insurance (Barnes Anderson, 2015). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Patients that are unable to follow prescriptions as ordered, related to lack of coverage, escalate stress on the health care system; increasing physician and emergency department visits, which may have been avoidable if the medications were covered for all Canadians (Lexchin, 2017). There are various socio political barriers to implementing a universal drug coverage plan in Canada. Primarily, the federal government s Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB), controls prescription and non prescription prices by making comparisons of across seven selected Organization of Economic Co Operation and Development (OECD) countries (Tang, Ghali, Manns, 2014). However, these OECD comparative countries have higher medication prices. In fact, four of the seven OECD countries have the most expensive prices worldwide; consequently increasing Canadian prescription pricing. According to Morgan and Boothe (2016), another barrier to universal drug coverage in Canada stems from pharmacare s initially low place on the policy agenda (p. 249). Healthy public policy development requires synergy between the public, policy makers, and institutions alike. If universal drug coverage has less attention than other health policy debates a political change is less likely to occur (p. 251). However, the reality is that the principle of political equality of citizens coexists with the social hierarchy that has developed around the socio professional categories, the level of education and income, classes and etc. Because we consider democracy as the only right way of governing people it is important to understand what makes some participate and the others to stay away from the whole process. Income can be one of the major factors that affects participation and needs to be studied in details. In particular, this work compares how people with different economic situations participate in the society, specifically whether they try to help to solve problems in the community if they ask help from government officials and etc. It also examines other factors like trust in the political system, trust in the election, and believe that politicians listen to the needs of people. Many studies on different countries have established that the greater economic status of the individuals corresponds to greater political participation. Political commitment is quite rigidly subordinates to the following logic: a certain social and economic position that evokes a sense of social and political competence generates a certain level of political participation. • 26. The Theme Of Power In The Veldt By Ray Bradbury Julia Sherman November 10, 2017 English Pd. 6 The Veldt Thematic Essay When considering reasons for a power or control shift in a relationship between a parent and child, one of the most common reasons considered is the fact that parents are giving kids too much too soon. As a parent gives these things, literal objects and figurative things, too soon, they are actually letting the power in their relationship shift and giving the kids more control. In The Veldt, the author, Ray Bradbury, emphasizes the theme with dialogue and tone. In the short story, George and Lydia Hadley, and their two children Peter and Wendy, are living in a smart house, where almost everything gets done for them. The quote, But I thought we that s why we bought this house, so we wouldn t have to do anything? shows how little they have to do to have everything nice and keep a good home. The children have grown up not doing anything; they do not even paint their own pictures. The children do not do their own laundry, make their own beds, or bathe themselves. Their lives are so simple, and all they spend their days doing is looking, listening, and smelling. The children enjoy not participating in life, but merely spectating it. Peter and Wendy not only get this literally, but they also figuratively get the freedom to come and go as they please. • 34. Comparison Of Two Creation Stories Daniyar Sadyk Paper #1; Topic #4 1+1: Completion and Justification Creation stories have shaped the way people come to see gender relations. While some have formed egalitarian viewpoints, most of the people have supported hierarchical notions. The reason for this division is the existence of two different creation stories that are contradicting each other. And the real question is not if there are differences or not. But if there is a purpose to these differences? Indeed, there is. First, men have used Creation 2 to justify their actions and to keep the patriarchal system working. Second, these two stories simply complete each other. With the second story, Genesis became an excuse for men to rule over the women. In the first story, God creates everything in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Genesis 1 has a broad outline which shows how God created the Earth. The author gives a general account of the creation. Genesis 1 does not have any detailed information in it, but rather some overview on what happened. However, people want to know not just how our world was created, but also how exactly humankind came to life. And Genesis 2 successfully explains how God created man from the dust, and woman from the man s ribs. It has many details that the first story does not. Therefore, it is easy to conclude that the first story is more chronological and general, whereas the second one is topical. The first story summarizes the whole process, while the second is more specific about man and his environment. Moreover, the second story could never be the only creation story because it does not have a sufficient information needed to explain how God created the Earth. For example, there is no mention of the creation of the day and night. There are no explanations how the oceans and fish were generated. Clearly, these two stories are complementary as they are supplying each other s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, looking further into the story of Young Goodman Brown, it is clear to see that there is a possibility that the imagery displayed can lead to some interesting theories behind Hawthorne s purpose, imagery, and symbolism in the text. Still today there is disagreements over the short story Young Goodman Brown, but Michael Tritt believes the psychology can give a good explanation for the true meaning. Tritt states in his journal, none adequately examined this phenomenon of colouring (projection) as it is defined by psychology to support his opinion that no one has thought to use psychology to get an understanding of Young Goodman Brown (Tritt 114). Most readers assume that the emotions of Brown are from his subconscious and guilt that is within him, but Tritt believes it to be defined as a case of projection. Projection is defined in the journal is as follows: a person is projecting when he ascribes to another person a trait or desire of his own that would be painful of his ego to admit. Since the act of projecting is an unconscious mechanism, it is not communicated to others nor is it even recognized as a projection by the person himself...(Tritt 114). Projection would allow a much more personal relationship with the story and create an important connection between literature and reader. Imagery is used throughout the whole story of Young Goodman Brown, but Richard Predmore believes that Brown s experience should include to be seen as sense of unconsciousness. Financial/Educational institutions, and various companies are all online in one form or another; being interconnected to the internet of everything. IT Security has garnered many companies and individuals to invest so much into it; that it has essentially created an industry of its own. • 38. Lochleaching Research Paper Do you feel the color and heat of a blush coming on when a significant other gently whispers in your ear, or perhaps you associate it with shame or displeasant of those of the past? The real question that should be asked is why do you blush. Considering that you are reading this you are probably of the human race. In animals this trait is hard to find even in our close primate like cousins. Through research it can be suggested that humans adapted the act of blushing for several reasons, and it may also appear to be a side effect of something bigger. Of these possible reasons are to cue a point or alert others of a social experience that had just occurred, be due to extreme pressure during exercise, or even sadly a side effect of being... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We all know that we blush in our faces, but we also blush through several other parts of our body. Following what was said earlier in the above paragraph blood vessels when we encounter strong emotions and prepare to do something tedious. However, there is a distinct difference difference between the blush that occurs when exercising and experiencing the blush which comes with psychological issues. When you exercise, you are obviously going to exert your body for an extended period of time. Humans have been able to change the flow of blood which may very well help them be more effective in their current activity. We take the blood that was flowing to organs such as the stomach and so on and move them to the muscles that we are currently using. We appear a brighter color of red due to the increase of blood flow to the muscles that are receiving blood closer to the surface of the skin. This may happen around our arms, legs, torso, neck, and especially our face. Moving on to the possible side of our psychological blushing, it happens for two main reasons. We enter into a mode that was programed into us since the day we were born. It is the fight or flight theory. Similar to exercising but more to the extreme. This is the idea that when we are under extreme stress that we either confront (fight) the point of our stress, or move away (run) from it. We enter a state like earlier explained when we move blood from our organs to our muscles. The reason there is a difference between the two is how far it could possibly go on. We humans obviously know when to stop exercising even when we get rushes of adrenaline. When we go into the fight or flight mode we have such a large amount of adrenaline that we tend to forget the huge amount of stress our organs are under going. While we do show signs of high amounts of blushing, it isn t all beauty. With the huge amount of stress you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This was the least of the confusion, the two bands matters were in original instrument choice among the members, music style, the band members themselves, and at last the band names. Coincidentally, both bands lost a member who motivated the group; Stuart Sutcliffe for the Beatles, and Syd Barrett mentally handicapped before Pink Floyd s success. The most common factor for the two United Kingdom, sixties era bands is that they both succeeded. With so many coincidences, the bands also have their contrasting factors. The Beatles on one hand were largely public, acquiring names such as the Quarry Men, instead Pink Floyd was underground and frolicked with names like T Set or Abdabs. Large differences between the two bands are their rises in popularity. For Pink Floyd s underground scene, they were not at the peak of their popularity in America until the early seventies; The Beatles were into the Pop Culture which gave them leeway to high popularity. The war and Counterculture provided the Beatles a great opportunity to experiment with their music, while Pink Floyd changed largely because Barrett wanted to try mystique music which suited the culture a smidge better than the blues. Because the controversial rises of fame, the bands trademark movies were created in totally different generations; Yellow Submarine was released in 1968, Pink Floyd s The Wall was released in 1982. In this writing assignment, I will be describing five strategies that are a part of the cognate strategies way of thinking. I will be using personal examples for each of these to help give a clearexplanation of the information The first of these is the also the first showcased in the book, Clarity. This strategy is based on a need to explain clearly what the speech or article is about. This is used to cut through the Jargons and clichГ©s that often plaque or work lives and explain the information cleanly. Using Clarity, all involved can understand what is needed to be done without a communication barrier. My example for this was when I turned my two week notice in for my first job. I wrote down exactly why I was leaving and ways that the store could improve in some areas to avoid others leaving. Conciseness is the next of the strategies and one that I have spent a lot of time using myself. The main point of being conscious is to have key points when being any speech or writing for business.
