ALTERNATIVE HUMAN FOOD DURING FOOD SCARCITY PINPIN, LORENZO R. A53
Professor Jeremie A. Monter A Thesis Proposal Submitted In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements
for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering INTRODUCTION Dogs are man s
best friend. It is also believed that dogs are the descendants of wild wolves. Since the dawn of time,
dogs have been very helpful to humans. They help herders to herd their cattle and sheep, and their
most reliable job, to guard their master s property. The oldest known breed of dog is Salukis, the one

It s edibility for humans is possible and it can supply many nutrients like protein, iron and zinc. In
these research, the researcher answered these specific questions: 1. Does dog food contain minerals
and nutrients? 2. Are there links to human s and dog s diet? And 3. Can it supply the human dietary
needs? For the first query, it was researched that dog food does contain several nutrients and minerals
like REAL MEAT, FISH, OR POULTRY, OMEGA FATTY ACIDS FATS, and ENERGY RICH
CARBOHYDRATES. Next, it links to human s and dog s diet because of visible similarities of some
needs of dogs and humans, like of protein, fats, vitamins, and proper hydration. Lastly, it can supply
human dietary needs as the food pyramid provides comparison on what human s and dog s need to
thrive and survive. The researcher therefor concluded that dog food may indeed serve as a feasible
food source for humans as well. It is also recommended that further studies regarding the same topic
be conducted to expand the understanding of dog food as human food

Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis Essay
Slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) and Legg Calve Perthes (LCP) disease are developmental
conditions (1, 2) with SCFE being described as a common source of pain and disability, and the most
common cause of degenerative hip disease in middle aged patients (3, 4). Proximal femoral
osteotomies following SCFE aim to restore more normal anatomy, improve function and reduce the
morbidity and complications of pain, reduced range of movement, early arthritis and leg length
discrepancy (3). Up to 50% of involved hips do well with no intervention but these hips are always at
risk of developing secondary arthritis and similarly adult hip joints of patients with SCFE are more
prone to develop advanced osteoarthritis (5). In general outcomes of ... Show more content on

In this study we independently reviewed ten year outcomes in a multicentre cohort of 70 patients (73
hips) following hip resurfacing for end stage arthritis following SCFE and LCP.
Patients and methods
In 1997 the Oswestry Outcome centre was setup to serve as an independent international register for
the collection, analysis and reporting of outcomes following hip resurfacing arthroplasty. Between
1997 and 2002, 4535 patients were recruited by 139 surgeons from different centres in 38 countries.
We selected 70 patients (73 hips) which included 58 patients (59 hips) with SCFE and 12 patients (14
hips) with LCP. These patients were age and gender matched to a group of 73 patients with primary
osteoarthritis whose outcomes were unknown to us. The selected patients in both groups were
operated by 39 surgeons from 4 countries. The primary osteoarthritis group was labeled as group OA
and secondary arthritis group was labeled as group LS. All patients were entered in this study after
informed consent by the operating surgeon who provided the demographic and clinical details of each
patient. These details were stored on a secure electronic database in the outcome centre and patients
were followed annually in context of function, complications, revision and

Case Study Of Lotte Lacto King
Introduction to the Study
The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that led to the declining of a brand which was
once doing very good. The study also aims to measure the brand equity of the chosen brand and then
to do a segmentation and positioning analysis of the brand. Finally, the study aims to recommend an
STP strategy for the brand. The brand that I have chosen for the study is Lotte Lacto King.
To achieve the purpose, a Focus Group Discussion was conducted which helped in identifying various
variables. Using these variables, a questionnaire was developed to understand the perception of the
consumers about the brand. A diverse group of approximately 100 consumers was chosen to get the
response. The next step involved running a factor analysis on the data collected and arriving at core
factors. The Brand Equity was measured next and a STP strategy is recommended.
The Brand under consideration, reasons for choosing the Brand
The brand chosen to conduct the study is Lotto Lacto King. The parent company for the product is
Lotte Corporation India. The tagline for the product is So tasty, you just can t stop eating it . It is pure

This can be attributed to severe competition and the product s lack of innovation and advertisements.
All the competitors came out with various variants of their product and were engaged in high
advertising but Lacto King had just one variant and no advertisements were made. The distribution
and reach is not extensive as compared to its competitors. The company banked on its brand name to
attract sales but slowly this strategy started to fail and its sales started to drop. Currently, the product
has lost visibility from many stores and is not available

Difference Between Faith And Knowledge
I enjoyed reading Pascal s wager so much that I decided to write my paper on him. I m going to dig
deeper into his background and answer key questions like what is the relationship between faith and
knowledge? Is faith in god justified? Why? How? In matters of faith and relationship with God, is the
question of the existence of God even relevant? Why or Why not? I am going to answers these key
questions in the upcoming paragraphs. I will briefly explain the argument of Pascal s wager and the
reasoning behind it. Is there a God? Should I believe in God? People think about this question
everyday. Pascal is famous, among other things for his wager argument. It was a groundbreaking
theory at that time. It s basically a risk vs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I will continue to defend Pascal s argue that if you look at the bigger picture, it s better to believe in
God than it is not to believe. Pascal wanted us to make a choice. He was a mathematician and
physicist. He developed the rules for probability, which we still use today. Which makes a lot of sense
because Pascal basically paved the way for gambling. We will answer an important question, What is
the relationship between faith and knowledge? Knowledge is both objective and subjective.
Knowledge is attained through reason, faith is belief based without evidence, something that cannot be
seen. Everything we know is a matter of perception. Science and history is a great example of
knowledge and the bible is an example of faith. It makes me think back to one of our earlier classes
that we were talking about Locke s argument that we are born with a blank sheet of paper ideas and
knowledge come to us through our experiences and senses. Descartes on the other hand believed that
we are born with ideas/knowledge and you use experience to remember them. My view is that the
relationship between faith and knowledge is that you should have faith only in knowledge, which you
could then attain enlightenment through that because knowledge is wisdom. The older you get, the
more wisdom you received. Pascal goes on to mention on page 357, Who then will

Evolution Of Lincoln s Policy On Slavery Essay
Evolution of Lincoln s policy on slavery in the United States.
Abraham Lincoln was the great man of his generation just as well as he is considered a great man in
history today. He made a huge difference that impacts us greatly today still. He is one of the main
reasons to why we do not have slavery around anymore, along with some help of other people back
then that supported him. Even though, racism still exist today it is not as horrifying and sickening as to
how it was before back in the 1800s. Considering the fact that Abraham Lincoln ended slavery, in
order to have achieve this he created many policies to permanently put slavery to a final end. Some of
these policies were: The Gettysburg Address, the Thirteenth Amendment, Emancipation Proclamation,
and so on. Slavery was a serious problem that needed a solution and he just so happened to be the type
of man that never quit to achieve what he wanted or thought what was right until he achieved his goal.
This is a great quality that he had and some of the reasons to why this man was and is greatly
respected and appreciated before and today. He detested how unequal African Americans were being
treated by the people that supported slavery and thought it was the right thing because African
Americans were only three fifths of a person. He did not like how the people of the black race did not
have all the rights as of the white race, which is why he created the thirteenth amendment. Abraham
Lincoln would make speeches and

Spider Man 2 Essay
Directed by Sam Raimi, this film had great potential. Finally anticipated villains and new ideas were
going to be set up into the film. But unfortunately trying to please all the fans of the films backfired.
Too many characters lead to an unclear story. The unclear story affected vague themes that were trying
to be shown. As a sequel to spider man 2, this film was caught in its own weird, wacky, web.
The story is set in modern times New York. It carries on from the previous two films; Spiderman 1 and
2. Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) who is Spiderman is finally back with M.J. (Mary Jane played by
Kristen Dunst). Trouble arises when Peter s Spiderman suit turns black and controls him. Empowering
him and bringing us closer to his darker side. Peter must conquer the darkness within himself. He

You only need to see this film once to understand that it is disappointing. It is overloaded with villains,
so the only way to develop their own character is to push others aside. Sam Raimi wanted sandman.
But the studio and fans wanting venom; Harry is just another villain. Although having the best set up
to be the main villain of the three, Harry s part in the film is pushed around. For example he gets
amnesia in order for other characters to be focused on. The amnesia completely changes Harry to
become a happy person. This undermines the director s purpose of having Harry as a villain. Villains
are not meant to be joyous and dancing. Raimi s intentions of showing Harry as fearsome and
intimidating were contradicted. After Sandman is out of the picture, Harry s memory is back and now
he s evil again. Which leads us back to the point that this film is all over the place with flaws. What
did his character gain from amnesia? Nothing. Then after this Harry becomes a good guy again. Harry
s character is being spun about for the sake of other characters. It also seems like the screenwriters can

Essay on Science Versus Religion in H.G. Wells War of the...
Martians are trying to take over the world. We humans cannot defeat them. Even with our superlative
weapons we are not managing to defeat the Martians. At the ends of the novel little tiny
microorganisms are managing to defeat these Martians. The key themes and ideas are
Industrialization, Imperialism and science vs. Religion. Industrialization means using off weapons or
machines. This is shown in the Novel by H.G. Wells that the Martians are killing the human race by
using off their machines and weapons. Imperialism means that creating an empire like United
Kingdom just is. This is shown in the Novel by H.G. Wells that the Martians are trying to create their

Evidence: Within the five mile circle even the great majority of people were inert . That means even
the people who were the closest to the Martians they still carried on with their daily life. That actually
shows us that Social Order did not change. The word inert is in fact very clever thought off because
the word itself means that something does not react to something else and this is shown in the Novel
by the populace not responding to the Martians and carrying on with their normal life. H.G. Wells
could think about this word because he was a biology teacher and the word inert is a scientific word.
Only a few people went to that hole to have a look at it what actually happened. Evidence: I found a
little crowd of perhaps twenty people surrounding the huge hole in which the cylinder lay . That
shows us that Social Order does not inert to the event that is happening to their great city. They have a
better work to do then going to a cylinder landed from another planet. Twenty people is a very low
amount of people because we in this time would expect about 100 or 1000 of people surrounding the
huge hole in which the cylinder lay , means again that Social Order does not respond to that event at
all. The reaction to a modern reader to this particularly event is very dissimilar because we at this time
would all run away from the Martians. H.G. Wells did not write this in his Novel because at that time
they did not had

Traditional Vs. Online Education
Compare and Contrast Traditional vs. Online As this world s technology is progressing so is the way
we teach and learn. Ever since school started hundreds of years ago it s always been a teacher in a live
classroom with many students. Everything is shifting, however; and now we have transitioned into
online classes as well. I have had both, and I can tell you there are many comparisons and contrasts
between the two. 77% of educators believe that online learning is just as good as traditional learning,
if not better, nearly 70% of all students claim online instruction to be as good as or better than a
traditional classroom setting, and 26% of online students claim to learn better online than in a
classroom. So clearly people aren t too against this new form of learning. Online enrollment rates are
expanding at much faster rates than traditional classroom enrollment growth; specifically, in higher
education, online enrollments have grown 21%, whereas growth for traditional classroom instruction
registers only 2% since 2002. Traditional and Online classes have a lot of similarities and differences
especially in areas like flexibility, comprehension of the course material, and discipline. Traditional is
what I had my entire life up until I entered high school. It is what I prefer out of both choices. I learn
from one on one interaction, and that is something that online doesn t have. In traditional there is not
very much flexibility because of several reasons. Classes are

Indigenous Rights in Mexico and Central America Essay
Indigenous Rights in Mexico and Central America
Introduction
The injustice surrounding the Indigenous populations in Mexico and Central America began with the
Spanish colonies in the sixteenth century, and the struggle for their land and constitution rights has
been an ongoing battle for hundreds of years. The indigenous people take up a large part of the
population in Mexico and Central America. (See Table 1; Graph 1 below). Indigenous people make up
of over 16 percent of the Mexican population, and over 66 percent of the population is indigenous in
Guatemala. The historical reality of the indigenous peoples in Central America has been one poverty,

Accordingly, there have been many controversies surrounding the indigenous land and their natural
resources in Mexico and Central America throughout history. Struggles to save their land, culture, and
receive constitutional rights have been a constant battle for indigenous populations. For example, the
United Fruit Company (1899 1970) became prominent in trading tropical fruit from Central American
plantations to the United States and Europe. The company comprises a model example of
multinational influence extending deeply into the internal politics and acquisition of natural resources
of native lands. The UFC came to gain 42% of Guatemala s land, and set up their capital in the town
of Bananera, where it made its headquarters, and corrupted every level of government and politics in
Guatemala. UFCO had the unconditional support of right wing dictators who maintained their power
by terrorizing the people and arresting prominent citizens who were either killed on the spot or
tortured in prison to extract confessions. A brutal civil war spanned from 1961 1996, and during one
wave of repression, hundreds of thousands were killed and entire Indian villages were massacred. Of
the killed people, nearly 83% were the Mayans, the indigenous group of

Neolithic Revolution Or Agricultural Revolution

Parolin, 7th hour
AP World History

Neolithic Government
Around 12,000 years ago the Neolithic or Agricultural Revolution began. This period started after the
end of the last ice age. The Neolithic Revolution brought the first organized government. The
Neolithic Revolution made government essential because there was a need to organize the more
expansive population, large construction projects, and trade with other Neolithic Villages.
During the Neolithic Revolution not only did the amount of surplus food grow, but so did the
population creating a need for organization from a leader or some sort of government. According to
scholars, the world s population 10,000 years ago was a microscopic 6 million people. By comparison
there are 6 billion people estimated on Earth today. The population then grew to about 50 million
people by 5,000 years ago. What took place during those 5,000 years? The agricultural revolution
began just about 12,000 years ago or 10,000 B.C.E. During that time the last ice age ended, creating a
more stable environment for growing crops and domesticating animals. The domestication of plants
and animals created a surplus of food compared to the amount of food in gathering and hunting
societies. An abundance of food allowed more people to live in each village. An example of
population growth in a Neolithic Village is the early agricultural settlement of Jericho located in
present day Israel. Jericho was uncovered by

Analysis Of Human Family By Maya Angelou
Human Family by Maya Angelou
Juxtaposition: When two topics that are brought up together, contrast to bring out the differences in
them
Example: I note the obvious differences in the human family... But we are more alike than we are
unalike Human Family, Maya Angelou, 1 2 and 35 36.
Function: The speaker points out all the ways that, as humans, we are different. The way we act, the
way we look, the ways we are amused, etc. They talk of how they once traveled the world and saw all
the differences in everyone, yet in those differences, found out we are more alike than set apart. As
they note that there are differences in the beginning of the poem, there is contrast in the idea that we
are all more alike than unalike. We think that the speaker is simply going to tell us how we are all the
same, but they begins by pointing out that we aren t. That causes the reader to think deeper into the
meaning and what it means if the speaker knows we are all different and unique. This juxtaposition
helps the poem as it brings up all the things the reader would be thinking in their brains if it had
simply said that we are all the same. The speaker states that it is fact we are all different, but when
looked at on a deeper level, we all share the same emotions and are very similar.
Alzheimer s by Kelly Cherry
Imagery: The description of an event, object, or person that is so in depth that the reader can picture it
in their minds.
Example: He remembers it as his, remembers the walkway he built between the front room ad the
garage, the rhododendron he planted in the back, the car he used to drive Alzheimer s, Kelly Cherry,
14 17.
Function: A man with Alzheimers is just arriving home for the first time after being in the hospital. He
is welcomed by, what we assume to be, his wife. As he arrives at the door he begins to think and
remember the vivid memories he has in this house. This imagery shows the reader that the man,
although he has alzheimers, can still remember the house he built and everything about where he
lived. He also talks earlier in the poem about the weather

Silver In The 18th Century Dbq
Silver in the 16th century and early 18th century was a product that was widely used and traded across
the world both as a currency and a feature in households and stores. The trade of silver included large
scale social and economic effects that spread around the world, impacting large centralized
governments such as the chinese, to smaller, less organized areas in the americas. Silver allowed the
early modern age to flourish, and grow economically, socially, and in global trade. Silver had a
profound effect on the global economy, for example, silver backed nearly all of China s economy back

For example, silver began to be an important part of everyday dealings. Jobs were focused towards
silver production, foods and goods could be bought with silver coins, etc. This is mainly shown in

this time period. However I believe that the point of view in this passage is slightly swayed by the fact
that the author is a county official who is most likely wealthy and he may simply be referring to his
own greed. In document 5 it shows how silver was eventually used as a currency and people were no
longer able to keep tabs as they had to pay with silver up front. I believe the purpose of this document
is important due to the growing use of silver and how it was affecting the cities that began to use it. In
document 7 silver can clearly be seen affecting social lives through the increased demand for foreign
products. With a higher demand for these products there is a much higher demand for the silver to
purchase the goods. I believe the purpose of this document is important because it shows the
relationship between the different countries in terms of trade for

Emily Dickinson Extended Metaphors
For most, specifically female poets, Emily Dickinson is a legend. Dickinson emerged out of an era in
the 1800 s when women were not acknowledged for their diligence and were not given the
opportunities to be educated as males were given. Dickinson wrote a total of one thousand seven
hundred and seventy five poems including She Sweeps with many colored Brooms , which was
written between 1858 and 1861. Dickinson is well known for the themes of her literary works to
involve death, love, religion, nature, or eternity. The poem She Sweeps with many colored Brooms

The Concept Of Collaboration Within The Organization
Introduction
Interagency collaboration is the modern concept of collaboration in which different organization
within and outside of government work together towards a common objective. Collaboration involves
all the organizations and agencies in the advancement of the common agenda, and it has been the real
catalyst for development (Finn Kohler, 2009). Different programs have been initiated to ensure that
agencies can collaborate and work together to enhance social, economic and political development.
Agencies can collaborate at different levels ranging from exchange of information, coordination,
cooperation and collaboration and all the levels of collaboration focus on working together to achieve
common objectives (Noonan Morningstar, 2008). At the basic level, the issue of collaboration has no
single comprehensive definition, but generally, it refers to the joint action in different organizations in
an effort to articulate for a common objective. Inter agency collaboration aims to bring together
agencies, service providers, and workforces to form temporary of long lasting partnerships that can
enable sharing of resources to reduce the overall costs for program implementation and increase
efficiency. Interagency collaboration is the only approach to enhance sharing of duties and
responsibilities in program implementation. The study aims to show the collaboration between the
Illinois Community College Board and the Division of Humans capital development to improve

Enzyme Catalysis And Enzyme Inhibition Essay
Enzyme catalysis and enzyme inhibition are two essential biological mechanisms of organisms. In this
experiment, WT AP and MBP AP enzyme are reacted with different concentrations of PNPP substrate
in SpectrovVis time based assays. From the change in absorbance over time data, and the rates of the
reactions are calculated, followed by the determination of the kinetic constants. Then, the MBP AP
assays are repeated with two different concentrations of phosphate inhibitor and the kinetic constants
of the uninhibited enzymes are compared to those of the inhibited enzymes. Results of the experiment
show that the uninhibited WT AP and MBP AP enzymes yielded expected kinetic constants according
to a reference. However, the inhibited enzymes produced kinetics constants that did not resemble a
competitive inhibition, which was expected. Instead, the inhibitor is observed to be a mixed inhibitor.
Introduction Enzymes are biological catalysts. Without them, biological reactions will not proceed in a
reasonable rate. For example, without a series of digestive enzymes, it can take 20 years to digest a
hamburger. Enzyme catalyzed reactions proceed through an ES complex, in which the substrate binds
to the enzyme, gets transformed into the product, and releases into the environment. For a specific
enzyme, only one or a few different substrate molecules can bind in the proper manner and produce a
functional ES complex. The substrate must have a size, shape, and polarity compatible with

Things Fall Apart Igbo Culture
Chinua Achebe once said, the world is like a mask dancing...if you want to see it well, you do not
stand in one place, (Goodreads). Renowned for his novel Things Fall Apart, in which he responds to
the stereotypes of the British who conquered the continent of Africa in the era of New Imperialism,
Achebe explores Igbo culture through many aspects of daily village life. Contradicting the racism
employed by whites in the 1890s in order to justify slavery in earlier history, Things Fall Apart offers
a new fresh perspective into the lives of ordinary villagers of the Igbo tribe in Nigeria, before they are
taken over by the British. Just as the whites in Europe, the tribe applies their own religion, customs,
beliefs, and language to their lives. Through this lens the reader is able to extract a deeper meaning of
the powerful message Achebe communicates by penning the famous novel.

One of the first defining characteristics that the reader notices about Okonkwo is his ability to wrestle
with other men. As a young man of only eighteen, he earned his reputation by throwing Amalinze the
Cat, (1). This equates power in the clan to physical strength and fortitude. Another indication of a man
s reputation is his acquired amount of material objects. When he is still young, Okonkwo grows two
barns full of yams, and [marries] his third wife, (8). A man s reputation in the clan is determined by
material objects, including wives. When the missionaries finally arrive, Christianity arrives as well.
After a while, however, Christianity is associated with the efulefu, or worthless, empty men, or simply,
those without title, (143). The advent of the new religion only makes the Igbo hierarchy even more
fragmented and severe, making Okonkwo further egotistical regarding his position in the

Why The Chinese Market Is Responsible For The Consumption...
Christine Bigham
Bringing Beer to China On the surface, bringing beer to China seems to be undoubtedly a good idea.
The Chinese market is responsible for the consumption of a quarter of the world s overall beer
volume. Also, a tenth of the revenue from the beer industry can be traced to the Chinese market. The
Chinese beer market is so massive it seems like a sure fire way to generate an increase revenue for any
beer company. The Chinese market seems so viable that many western brands are looking to expand
into the market possibly as a way to compensate for lagging sales in America as a result of the
increase in American preference for craft beers and local brews. In order to enter this highly
competitive Chinese beer market, western companies should try some various less conventional tactics
to entering the marketplace. As stated in the article the Chinese market is experiencing stagnant
growth in their beer industry. This stagnant phase has been attributed to the Chinese economic
slowdown, population aging, as well as the increased interest of Chinese consumers in comparable
beverages and local brews. In order to address these concerns, western companies should figure out
how to take their brand name, but make a local version of it. Making a premium local craft beer
product line specifically for the Chinese market would tap into the Chinese interests in craft beers,
while also simultaneously tapping into the market of younger consumers that are pushing the

The Consequences Of The Goose Girl, A Fairy Tale
Goose Girl is a fairy tale collected by the Grimm brothers who s story line is about a young Princess
arranged for a marriage with a far away prince, and is deceived from her title on her way to her
bridegroom. Deceived and over powered by her waiting woman, the Princess shows development, but
our dreamer for this analysis is the waiting woman. Fairy tales are all about embracing birth rights,
and this is exactly what the waiting woman is deviant about: she broke from the system and tries to
work her way up a class that she is not born into. The waiting woman struggles with her individuation,
the process of accepting the daily events. Through this analysis, the consequences of not accepting the
life you are born to live will serve as an example of a deeper evil. First, to begin this analysis, the
archetypes are to be assigned. We will start with the shadow, represented by the Princess. Accordingly,
this is a same sex character that at first embodies the elements a waiting woman should have: quiet,
submissive, and compliant because she had to give away and let it be as [the waiting woman] said
(583). The Princess carries the qualities that are considered to be expected of a waiting woman. The
opposite sex character that represents the animus in the waiting woman s story is the horse, Falada.
The horse noticed and remembered the acts the waiting woman commits, so she later on tries to get rid
of the horse, who later develops the story in an indirect way (583). The waiting woman s self is
represented by the casket dragged by horses idea she pitched in for the King. Her refusal to become
who she was intended to be led her to declaring her own fate. Moreover, to explain these labels, the
important events relevant to the development of the waiting woman should be recognized and
explained. The waiting woman is first set on her journey to fulfill her duties beside the Princess after
mounting their respective horses. On both occasions that the Princes has been thirsty, the waiting
woman declares I will not be your slave. If you want a drink, you may get it yourself; I am not going
to be your slave (582). To this, the Princess does not respond; the second time around, as she bends to
drink her water, she looses

The Tale Of Three Brothers
Fairy tales have an enormous impact on the world we live in. They are used as tools to teach children
life lessons in such a way that doesn t scare them, but does prepare them for the harsh realities of the
world. We have many such examples in our own lives, it seems only natural that the wizarding world
would have their own. One interesting thing about wizarding fairy tales is that unlike their muggle
counterparts, magic is a good force. While good magic does exist in muggle fairy tales, for instance
Cinderella s godmother, more often than not it is portrayed as the evil weapon in the story. The Tale of
Three Brothers is a story where Death is a character. He greets three brothers who have used their
knowledge in the magical arts to cheat him. Instead of killing them on the spot, he grants them each a
gift. The eldest chooses an unbeatable wand, the middle plots to humiliate death further by asking for
a stone that can raise the dead, while the youngest asks for a cloak that will shield its wearer from
being followed by Death. The three brothers soon part ways and choose their own paths, and
ultimately their deaths. The first is murdered after he boasts loudly about being unbeatable, the second
kills himself after finding that the stone cannot truly bring anyone back, but the third lives a long and
full life and greets death as an old friend (Rowling, 93). In The Four Accomplished Brothers, a fairy
tale by the brothers Grimm, four brothers leave the house to make

The Causes Of The Soviet Union
The Soviet Union [8], officially the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR[9], Russian: СССР)
also known unofficially as Russia[10][11], was a socialist state in Eurasia that existed from 1922 to
1991. Nominally a union of multiple equal national Soviet republics,[a] its government and economy
were highly centralized. The country was a one party state, governed by the Communist Party with
Moscow as its capital in its largest republic, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. The
Russian nation had constitutionally equal status among the many nations of the union but exerted de
facto dominance in various respects.[12] Other major urban centres were Leningrad, Kiev, Minsk,
Alma Ata and Novosibirsk. The Soviet Union was one of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In June 1941, Germany invaded the Soviet Union, opening the largest and bloodiest theater of war in
history. Soviet war casualties accounted for the highest proportion of the conflict in the effort of
acquiring the upper hand over Axis forces at intense battles such as Stalingrad and Kursk. The
territories overtaken by the Red Army became satellite states of the USSR; the postwar division of
Europe into capitalist and communist halves would lead to increased tensions with the West, led by
the United States.
The Cold War emerged by 1947, as the Eastern Bloc, united under the Warsaw Pact in 1955,
confronted the Western Bloc, united under NATO in 1949. Following Stalin s death in 1953, a period
of political and economic liberalization, known as de Stalinization and Khrushchev s Thaw , occurred
under the leadership of Nikita Khrushchev. The Soviet Union took an early lead in the Space Race,
with the first artificial satellite and the first human spaceflight. In the 1970s, there was a brief détente
of relations with the United States, but tensions resumed with the Soviet Afghan War in 1979. In the
mid 1980s, the last Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, sought to reform and liberalize the economy
through his policies of glasnost and perestroika. The Cold War ended during his tenure, and in 1989,
Soviet satellite states in Eastern Europe overthrew their respective communist governments.

Characteristics Of The Null Hypothesis
Our lab investigated the morphological characteristics of leaves found in the sun and shade on various
species of maple and oak trees around campus. Our null hypothesis was Acer and Quercus acclimate
similarly with regards to SLW (specific leaf weight), size, and sinuosity. Our hypothesis was Quercus
acclimation is greater than Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity. We tested these hypotheses by picking small
sections of a branches from both maple and oak trees. A group was assigned either a maple or an oak
tree, and needed a total of three different trees per group. Once three different trees were chosen,
groups needed three shade leaves and three sun leaves of off each different tree. In total, each group
should then end up with 18 leaves for testing. After collecting the leaves, we ran them through the
LiCor 3100 leaf area meter to identify the area of each leaf. Major results found by the classes mutual
data was each one of our p values were greater than .05. This means that we failed to reject the null
hypothesis. Thus, the lab results do not support our hypothesis that Quercus acclimation is greater than
Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity.
Introduction
In articles written by Thomas Jurik and Ulo Niinements and Kalevi Kull they discuss how sun and
shade leaves look different and why. Both papers suggest that sun leaves have thicker cuticles and are
more deeply lobed. In addition, sun leaves have less surface area to limit the amount of
evapotranspiration that occurs in the leaves

Filmmaking Personal Statement
Filmmaking is about not giving up, no matter how many times you are knocked to the ground. It is
about picking yourself up, brushing yourself down and moving onto the next hurdle with all your
effort possible. Yes, it is quite likely you will be knocked back again and again as the cycle continues.
But the most important thing about filmmaking is to not give up, to keep trying to achieve your dream
and make more of yourself, and therefore I have chosen to reapply to university, as I know that I am
capable of more and refuse to settle for the next best thing.
Currently I study Film and Media at Stirling University, but have not found the course to be creatively
challenging enough. As a practical learner, I find it much easier to learn on the job than be recited it in
lectures. However, I did enjoy my time learning about theorists and broader background context as
this is imperative to know to have a rounded film knowledge. ... Show more content on

Old World Wine and New World Wine
Wines in the Old and New World

The wines are divided into two categories, the old world wine and the new world wine. When Hugh
Johnson came up with his concept of these two worlds, people have started to find out the differences.
Wines are beverages of gods, and people enjoy them and have their own understanding of wines. The
old world wines are traditional while the new world wines are modern. In this research paper, I will

For example, French people respect the spirit of Terroir. They believe the original land, soil, climate,

the traditional French winemaking philosophy. If people mix grapes from different geographical
locations, it would be considered as the violation to the wine spirit and culture. If a wine used non
statutory variety of grapes, no matter how beautiful and tasty it was, it could not become the AOC

wines in the experiment. They use different varieties of grape and planting techniques, have the
modern brewing philosophy and production organizations. The new world wines have really new

The Virtual Reality Simulation Environment For Assembly...
Cloud based IoT interactions to support simulation analysis using VAE (don t change this title, use it
in last section of paper befor examples)
Overview
In this section, we discuss a case study involving use of the Virtual Reality simulation environment for
assembly analysis (VAE?) and GENI resources; the primary emphasis was to compare suitability of
remote collabora tion protocols that can support several engineers from different locations to analyze
the design of micro parts and propose, compare and validate/modify assembly plans. The GENI
resources utilized in this case study included the ProtoGENI aggregate [4], and the OnTimeMeasure
[6] software for instrumentation and measurement.
The potential benefits for allowing a user to collaborate with remote experts while assessing a part s
design by utilizing virtual reality environments and other tools is attractive to both education and
commercial manufacturing segments. Vir tualization and cloud based resources offer affordable as
well as on demand methods for students in K 12 and universities to learn about advanced
manufacturing problems without the need of expensive local resources. Research efforts has
emphasized the emergence of cyber physical frameworks to support assembly of micro devices

Linguistic Elements In Mcluhan s Medium Is The Message
The ear favors no particular point of view. This direct quote is the first thing said in McLuhan s short
passage in his book, Medium is the message . This quote starts off the passage and it sets a good
foundation for the central idea, being that our ears hear everything, from secrets to distractions.
Mcluhan is trying to convey to readers that even with the utmost effort, we cannot block out sounds
we do not want to hear, and furthermore that we do not even have to focus to hear everything but that
the act of hearing through your ears is a constant activity happening 24/7. Mcluhan uses a variety of
linguistic elements in his passage that help concentrate the idea. A really vital linguistic element
McLuhan uses are short fragmented sentences that are dense. The strategy behind these sentences are
to deliver a blow with just a couple of words. We are enveloped by sound, is a sentence that justifies
this. Each word has been carefully placed next to one another for maximum effect on the reader s
understanding of sound and how the ear receives it. Furthermore, Mcluhan uses the word envelope ,
giving the theme that there is no escape from sound, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
McLuhan uses one main visual element, that being the big BANG! on the left side of the passage. I
believe that this visual element has a great impact on the delivery of the message because it really
breaks down what sound is in it s purest form. The bang symbol is usually used a lot in comics and is
used when one of the characters throw a hard and usually loud punch making a BANG! sound. In my
belief, the visual element is trying to display that sound is not only loud in the sense that some sounds
can be loud but that they have a loud impact in our world since they re all around us. Beyond that, he
is saying that sounds can be hard hitting such as distracting sounds that might affect your focus in

A variety of classic sound effects replicated the projection on screen in order to specify even further
the actions being performed such as using the telephone, riding in an elevator, arriving at a train stop,

amongst the new technological addition of projectors. With the busyness of the opening scene, a
spotlight was used to appear on each actor as they spoke. This made it clear to the audience where
they should be looking and it lessened the overwhelming feeling of multiple people being on stage at
once. After the opening, the actors took off their own set pieces making for a quick and smooth

Symbols In Heart Of Darkness
Africa s Darkness Darkness refers to the evil acts of another person. These evil acts can symbolize
darkness in any situation, such as violence, discrimination, and other cruel acts that people experience
daily. Acts of darkness could cause harm to an individual physically or emotionally. In the novel,
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, the word darkness is used to symbolize many events that
happened in the continent of Africa. Three events that symbolize the word darkness are the Europeans
cruel behaviors, Kurtz s selfishness, and Marlow s sexist statements. One event in the novel that
displayed darkness was when the Europeans were cruel to the Africans. The main character, Marlow,
went on a voyage to the Congo River. When Marlow arrived in Africa, he recognized that the Africans
were being treated in an evil manner. In the novel, Marlow states, They were dying slowly it was very
clear. They were not enemies, they were not criminals, they were nothing earthly now nothing but
black shadows of disease and starvation, lying confusedly in the greenish gloom (Conrad, 82). This

Kurtz or the Europeans, but it is also displayed in the main character, Marlow. Marlow would
occasionally speak sexist statements to himself, which shows that Marlow has a heart of darkness. In

their own, and there has never been anything like it, and never can be. It is too beautiful altogether,
and if they were to set it up it would go to pieces before the first sunset (Conrad, 76). This statement
from Marlow signifies that he is an individual who thinks that women cannot do anything on this earth
except make it worse. This definitely shows that Marlow has a heart of darkness. Therefore, darkness
is used throughout the novel because of Marlow s sexist

Victimization Of The Female Dancer In Battle Royal
Victimization of the Female Dancer in Battle Royal
In Ralph Ellison s Battle Royal , two different victims of the prominent white men are portrayed: the
greater known victim of the African American boys and the lesser female dancer. Both of these victim
groups are relevant to the story, however one gets more recognition than the other. In the story, Ellison
identifies racism and bigotry exerted by the white men onto the African American boys in a fist fight
and electric rug scene. Before the physical torture of the boys, Ellison brings attention to the sexism
and degrading actions toward a naked female dancer. The evils endured by the boys and the dancer are
equally bad in their own right, although the female dancer s are subdued. The female dancer endured
the derogatory ideas of the men, their forcefulness, and their different emotional traumas.
The female dancer first falls victim to the prominent white men and the African American boys in the
derogatory ideas and thoughts they are having. Before the physical actions of the men, the dancer was
already a victim by their degrading thoughts and lustful feelings. The men looked at her like she was a
circus kewpie doll , already likening her to a toy for their amusement making her nonhuman to them
(270). By likening her to a kewpie doll, they could rationalize their animalistic thoughts, making their
feelings seems appropriate. By viewing her as inanimate, they allow themselves to continue their lewd

Distributed Database Vs Centralized Database
Distributed Database vs Centralized Database centralized database: In a centralized database, all the
data of an organization is stored in a single place such as a mainframe computer or a server. Users in
remote locations access the data through the Wide Area Network (WAN) using the application
programs provided to access the data. In a centralized database, all data of an organization are kept in
a single computer as a central processor or server. Users in remote locations access data by using
WAN by application software provided to access data. The centralized database (the central processor
or server) should be able to satisfy all requests from the system; therefore, it creates restricted access.
But since all data resides in a single location it easier to maintain and support data. In addition, it is
easier to maintain the integrity of data, because once the data is stored in a centralized database, out of
date data is no longer available in other places. Distributed Database: In a distributed database, the
data is stored in storage devices that are in different physical locations. They are not attached to a
common CPU but the database is controlled by a central DBMS. In a distributed database, data is

Black Elk And The Struggle Of Faith
Black Elk and the Struggle of Faith
The story of Nicholas Black Elk was one that was reluctantly told, a Lakota medicine man, a visionary
of his own sort. Written by John G. Neihardt, Black Elk Speaks captures the essence of what the
Lakota culture based its teachings off of, as well as exhibiting who Black Elk really was. When
Neihardt began his dialogues with Black Elk he knew which questions to ask, his plan was clear from
the beginning. There were choices made by Neihardt that seem controversial, such as why he decided
to end his book at the Battle of Wounded Knee instead of continuing through Black Elk s life and his
conversion to Catholicism. The steps taken by Neihardt succeeded in portraying Black Elk s own
story, and the importance of his vision on his life. Black Elk himself can be looked upon as a character
within an all encompassing realm of change. From the time that he was a boy he had been instilled
with the fear of the Wasichu , as well as the virtues of the Lakota religion. A short way into the telling
of his story, Black Elk shares with Neihardt that at the age of 9, he had a vision. As rudimentary as it
sounds, this vision can be attributed with shaping Black Elk s whole life. Black Elk s recollection of
the vision is impeccable, not a detail goes unremembered. Without much evidence as to what caused
Black Elk to fall sick, the book describes swelling and what would be thought of today as
hallucinations. Black Elk only finds his vision because he is

Analyzing Voltaire s Optimism In The Novel Candide
In the novel, Candide, Voltaire criticizes Lebiniz s optimism in the form of Candide s tutor, Dr.
Pangloss who claimed that everything is for the best in this best of all possible worlds . Using Dr.
Pangloss teaching, Voltaire demonstrates how optimism simplifies and ignores the real world of
human suffering and everyday experiences. In Chapter Three, Pangloss catches syphilis from the maid
whom he had an intercourse with. Instead of being in misery or trying to cure of the sexually
transmitted disease which could ultimately harm his life, he maintains on his philosophy and remains
positive. He justifies that syphilis is a wonderful ingredient in the best of world as if Columbus is an
island of America had not caught the disease, which

Responses To Voting
Voting is perhaps one of the easiest ways to participate in politics, yet it is the one task Americans fail
to do. After conducting this survey, I had quite a variety of responses regarding voting participation,
fortunately, the majority did exercise their right to vote. While reviewing the responses I learned that
many decided to vote because they knew how important it was if they wanted to have a say in their
government. Which was something that I did not expect mainly because I usually hear people
complain about the government, yet they do not even attempt to get involved with politics to try to
change what they dislike. Another finding was that all the survey participants were aware that voting
with a majority party was a safe bet if

Selena Alvarez Essay
Selena Gomez has been an important and interesting person to me for a quite a while, someone I
looked up to when I was younger. I first discovered her by watching on Disney channel and then I
started listening to her songs because she was very famous, and because I had a passion for music and
singing. Selena was a typical teen pop star, singing about boys and best friends, but as I continued to
listened to her I noticed she was a little different. As she became an older teen she started making
more mature, inspiring songs that I felt like I really connected to and I realized we are similar in some
other ways too. I relate to Selena Gomez because we both have avoided conforming to social
standards, have stayed kind and true to ourselves, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Jared Diamond Collapse Summary
Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail Or Succeed Author: Jared Diamond Published in New York,
2005 Pages: 570 Summary: This book follows the events of several civilizations from the past and
present, and how they either failed or succeeded to survive. The book starts with the author talking
about the Huls and Gardar Farm, and how even though they were thousands of miles apart, they had
many similar strengths which made them the superior farm in the area. The author then reveals that the
Huls farm was a growing farm in the modern U.S. and the Gardar Farm was a Norse farm in greenland
that was abandoned over 500 years ago. After revealing the differences between the two farms,
Diamond then states that any society, even one seeming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If we return to our five point checklist of factors to be considered in connection with environmental
collapses, two of those factors attacks by neighboring enemy societies, and loss of support from
neighboring friendly societies played no role in Easter s collapse, because there is no evidence that
there were any enemies or friends in contact with Easter Island society after its founding.... For a role
of a third factor, climate change, we also have no evidence at present, though it may emerge in the
future. That leaves us with just two main sets of factors behind Easter s collapse: human
environmental impacts, especially deforestation and destruction of bird populations; and the political,
social, and religious factors behind the impacts, such as the impossibility of emigration as an escape
valve because of Easter s isolation, a focus on statue construction for reasons already discussed, and
competition between clans and chiefs driving the erection of bigger statues requiring more wood,
rope,and food. (Jared Diamond, Pg.

Network Virtualization Using Generic Routing Encapsulation
RFC 7637: NETWORK VIRTUALIZATION USING GENERIC ROUTING ENCAPSULATION
AKSHAY HARISH WASANKAR Student ID: 44649479 Southern Methodist University EETS 8317
Switching and QoS Management in IP Networks Dr. Kamakshi Sridhar April 28, 2016 Abstract This
paper explores the details of RFC 7637 which is based on Network Virtualization using Generic
Routing Encapsulation. The purpose of this paper is to describe the usage of Generic Routing
Encapsulation (GRE) header for Network Virtualization (NVGRE) in multi tenant data centers.
Several issues with traditional data center designs such as static workloads, limitations on dynamic
allocation of server and network, oversubscribed network when using RSTP to avoid loops, 4K subnet
limit ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Traditional Data Centers have obsolete design catering to static workloads, fragmented networks and
server capacity limiting the dynamic allocation and consolidation of capacity. Most Layer 2 networks
use rapid spanning tree protocol to eliminate possible loops by blocking redundant paths, but it results
in wasted capacity and oversubscribed network. Network fragmentation and VLANs are used for
traffic management, security, performance and broadcast isolation among services belonging to
different clients or tenants. For forwarding VLAN tagged packets, each layer 2 device needs to be
configured and each layer 3 subnet needs to be mapped to one VLAN. In the data center infrastructure
which is shared by multiple tenants, the 4000 VLAN limit is no longer acceptable. Also migrating
workloads require network to be re configured which can consume resources and be error prone. To
respond to dynamic workloads and demands, network administrators and operators must be to achieve
high utilization of server and network capacity, be able to assign workloads operating in single layer 2
network to any server in any rack in the network, be able to move workloads without re configuring
the network. This is achieved by decoupling the workload s location from its network address.
Therefore, key design objectives for the modern data centers are: Location independent addressing
Scalable number of Layer2/layer 3 networks regardless of number of VLANS or underlying physical

New Testament Research Paper
What is New Testament?
The New Testament is a collection of books which contains the writings concerning the significant
events in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. These books appeared after the physical death of Jesus Christ.
In this regard, Jesus had left no records concerning him, and all that is written about him depends
wholly on what other people have written about him. The first four books of the New Testament are
part of the several biographies of Jesus which were written by the end of the first century of the era of
Christianity. Then before any of these biographies have been drafted, there were Christian
communities which were being instructed through epistles on how to live like Jesus and how to solve
their problem like Christians. A good number of these letters were written by a man called Paul. After
Paul death, some other new leaders of the Christian movement continued to write letters to the
churches to encourage and strengthen them. As Christians grew in number persecution arose, and
some letters have been drafted to support them and also to counter the false doctrines. These letters are
part of the New Testament. The twenty seven books of the New Testament were selected from the list
of writings in that period (Bruce, 1988)

This is because the entire new testament is based on the Jesus of Nazareth as God manifest in the flesh
(1 Tim 3:16). According to St. Paul (Ephesians 1:10), the dispensation of the fullness of time might
gather together in all things in Christ both which are in heaven and on earth. All that is written in the
first four books is about Jesus of Nazareth. Therefore to know Jesus and his salvation one must study
the New Testament. This knowledge is highly precious that according to Paul he counts all things as
loss for the knowledge of Jesus Christ (Philemon 3:

Thesis On Dog Food MAPUA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AT LAGUNAAcademic Year 2014 2015 A LINK BETWEEN DOG AND HUMAN DIET AND THE POSSIBILITY OF DOG FOOD AS AN ALTERNATIVE HUMAN FOOD DURING FOOD SCARCITY PINPIN, LORENZO R. A53 Professor Jeremie A. Monter A Thesis Proposal Submitted In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering INTRODUCTION Dogs are man s best friend. It is also believed that dogs are the descendants of wild wolves. Since the dawn of time, dogs have been very helpful to humans. They help herders to herd their cattle and sheep, and their most reliable job, to guard their master s property. It s edibility for humans is possible and it can supply many nutrients like protein, iron and zinc. In these research, the researcher answered these specific questions: 1. Does dog food contain minerals and nutrients? 2. Are there links to human s and dog s diet? And 3. Can it supply the human dietary needs? For the first query, it was researched that dog food does contain several nutrients and minerals like REAL MEAT, FISH, OR POULTRY, OMEGA FATTY ACIDS FATS, and ENERGY RICH CARBOHYDRATES. Next, it links to human s and dog s diet because of visible similarities of some needs of dogs and humans, like of protein, fats, vitamins, and proper hydration. Lastly, it can supply human dietary needs as the food pyramid provides comparison on what human s and dog s need to thrive and survive. The researcher therefor concluded that dog food may indeed serve as a feasible food source for humans as well. It is also recommended that further studies regarding the same topic be conducted to expand the understanding of dog food as human food ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis Essay Slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) and Legg Calve Perthes (LCP) disease are developmental conditions (1, 2) with SCFE being described as a common source of pain and disability, and the most common cause of degenerative hip disease in middle aged patients (3, 4). Proximal femoral osteotomies following SCFE aim to restore more normal anatomy, improve function and reduce the morbidity and complications of pain, reduced range of movement, early arthritis and leg length discrepancy (3). Up to 50% of involved hips do well with no intervention but these hips are always at risk of developing secondary arthritis and similarly adult hip joints of patients with SCFE are more prone to develop advanced osteoarthritis (5). In this study we independently reviewed ten year outcomes in a multicentre cohort of 70 patients (73 hips) following hip resurfacing for end stage arthritis following SCFE and LCP. Patients and methods In 1997 the Oswestry Outcome centre was setup to serve as an independent international register for the collection, analysis and reporting of outcomes following hip resurfacing arthroplasty. Between 1997 and 2002, 4535 patients were recruited by 139 surgeons from different centres in 38 countries. We selected 70 patients (73 hips) which included 58 patients (59 hips) with SCFE and 12 patients (14 hips) with LCP. These patients were age and gender matched to a group of 73 patients with primary osteoarthritis whose outcomes were unknown to us. The selected patients in both groups were operated by 39 surgeons from 4 countries. The primary osteoarthritis group was labeled as group OA and secondary arthritis group was labeled as group LS. All patients were entered in this study after informed consent by the operating surgeon who provided the demographic and clinical details of each patient. These details were stored on a secure electronic database in the outcome centre and patients were followed annually in context of function, complications, revision and ... • 4. Case Study Of Lotte Lacto King Introduction to the Study The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that led to the declining of a brand which was once doing very good. The study also aims to measure the brand equity of the chosen brand and then to do a segmentation and positioning analysis of the brand. Finally, the study aims to recommend an STP strategy for the brand. The brand that I have chosen for the study is Lotte Lacto King. To achieve the purpose, a Focus Group Discussion was conducted which helped in identifying various variables. Using these variables, a questionnaire was developed to understand the perception of the consumers about the brand. A diverse group of approximately 100 consumers was chosen to get the response. The next step involved running a factor analysis on the data collected and arriving at core factors. The Brand Equity was measured next and a STP strategy is recommended. The Brand under consideration, reasons for choosing the Brand The brand chosen to conduct the study is Lotto Lacto King. The parent company for the product is Lotte Corporation India. The tagline for the product is So tasty, you just can t stop eating it . It is pure milk and ghee product which has been targeted to people of all age groups ... The company banked on its brand name to attract sales but slowly this strategy started to fail and its sales started to drop. • 5. Difference Between Faith And Knowledge I enjoyed reading Pascal s wager so much that I decided to write my paper on him. I m going to dig deeper into his background and answer key questions like what is the relationship between faith and knowledge? Is faith in god justified? Why? How? In matters of faith and relationship with God, is the question of the existence of God even relevant? Why or Why not? I am going to answers these key questions in the upcoming paragraphs. I will briefly explain the argument of Pascal s wager and the reasoning behind it. Is there a God? Should I believe in God? People think about this question everyday. Pascal is famous, among other things for his wager argument. It was a groundbreaking theory at that time. It s basically a risk vs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I will continue to defend Pascal s argue that if you look at the bigger picture, it s better to believe in God than it is not to believe. Pascal wanted us to make a choice. He was a mathematician and physicist. He developed the rules for probability, which we still use today. Which makes a lot of sense because Pascal basically paved the way for gambling. We will answer an important question, What is the relationship between faith and knowledge? Knowledge is both objective and subjective. Knowledge is attained through reason, faith is belief based without evidence, something that cannot be seen. Everything we know is a matter of perception. Science and history is a great example of knowledge and the bible is an example of faith. It makes me think back to one of our earlier classes that we were talking about Locke s argument that we are born with a blank sheet of paper ideas and knowledge come to us through our experiences and senses. Descartes on the other hand believed that we are born with ideas/knowledge and you use experience to remember them. My view is that the relationship between faith and knowledge is that you should have faith only in knowledge, which you could then attain enlightenment through that because knowledge is wisdom. The older you get, the more wisdom you received. Pascal goes on to mention on page 357, Who then will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Evolution Of Lincoln s Policy On Slavery Essay Evolution of Lincoln s policy on slavery in the United States. Abraham Lincoln was the great man of his generation just as well as he is considered a great man in history today. He made a huge difference that impacts us greatly today still. He is one of the main reasons to why we do not have slavery around anymore, along with some help of other people back then that supported him. Even though, racism still exist today it is not as horrifying and sickening as to how it was before back in the 1800s. Considering the fact that Abraham Lincoln ended slavery, in order to have achieve this he created many policies to permanently put slavery to a final end. Some of these policies were: The Gettysburg Address, the Thirteenth Amendment, Emancipation Proclamation, and so on. Slavery was a serious problem that needed a solution and he just so happened to be the type of man that never quit to achieve what he wanted or thought what was right until he achieved his goal. This is a great quality that he had and some of the reasons to why this man was and is greatly respected and appreciated before and today. He detested how unequal African Americans were being treated by the people that supported slavery and thought it was the right thing because African Americans were only three fifths of a person. He did not like how the people of the black race did not have all the rights as of the white race, which is why he created the thirteenth amendment. Abraham Lincoln would make speeches and ... But unfortunately trying to please all the fans of the films backfired. Too many characters lead to an unclear story. The unclear story affected vague themes that were trying to be shown. As a sequel to spider man 2, this film was caught in its own weird, wacky, web. The story is set in modern times New York. It carries on from the previous two films; Spiderman 1 and 2. Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) who is Spiderman is finally back with M.J. (Mary Jane played by Kristen Dunst). Trouble arises when Peter s Spiderman suit turns black and controls him. You only need to see this film once to understand that it is disappointing. It is overloaded with villains, so the only way to develop their own character is to push others aside. Sam Raimi wanted sandman. But the studio and fans wanting venom; Harry is just another villain. Although having the best set up to be the main villain of the three, Harry s part in the film is pushed around. For example he gets amnesia in order for other characters to be focused on. The amnesia completely changes Harry to become a happy person. This undermines the director s purpose of having Harry as a villain. Villains are not meant to be joyous and dancing. Raimi s intentions of showing Harry as fearsome and intimidating were contradicted. After Sandman is out of the picture, Harry s memory is back and now he s evil again. Which leads us back to the point that this film is all over the place with flaws. What did his character gain from amnesia? Nothing. Then after this Harry becomes a good guy again. Harry s character is being spun about for the sake of other characters. It also seems like the screenwriters can t decide what to do with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Even with our superlative weapons we are not managing to defeat the Martians. At the ends of the novel little tiny microorganisms are managing to defeat these Martians. The key themes and ideas are Industrialization, Imperialism and science vs. Religion. Industrialization means using off weapons or machines. This is shown in the Novel by H.G. Wells that the Martians are killing the human race by using off their machines and weapons. Imperialism means that creating an empire like United Kingdom just is. This is shown in the Novel by H.G. Evidence: Within the five mile circle even the great majority of people were inert . That means even the people who were the closest to the Martians they still carried on with their daily life. That actually shows us that Social Order did not change. The word inert is in fact very clever thought off because the word itself means that something does not react to something else and this is shown in the Novel by the populace not responding to the Martians and carrying on with their normal life. H.G. Wells could think about this word because he was a biology teacher and the word inert is a scientific word. Only a few people went to that hole to have a look at it what actually happened. Evidence: I found a little crowd of perhaps twenty people surrounding the huge hole in which the cylinder lay . That shows us that Social Order does not inert to the event that is happening to their great city. They have a better work to do then going to a cylinder landed from another planet. Twenty people is a very low amount of people because we in this time would expect about 100 or 1000 of people surrounding the huge hole in which the cylinder lay , means again that Social Order does not respond to that event at all. The reaction to a modern reader to this particularly event is very dissimilar because we at this time would all run away from the Martians. H.G. • 9. Traditional Vs. Online Education Compare and Contrast Traditional vs. Online As this world s technology is progressing so is the way we teach and learn. Ever since school started hundreds of years ago it s always been a teacher in a live classroom with many students. Everything is shifting, however; and now we have transitioned into online classes as well. I have had both, and I can tell you there are many comparisons and contrasts between the two. 77% of educators believe that online learning is just as good as traditional learning, if not better, nearly 70% of all students claim online instruction to be as good as or better than a traditional classroom setting, and 26% of online students claim to learn better online than in a classroom. So clearly people aren t too against this new form of learning. Online enrollment rates are expanding at much faster rates than traditional classroom enrollment growth; specifically, in higher education, online enrollments have grown 21%, whereas growth for traditional classroom instruction registers only 2% since 2002. Traditional and Online classes have a lot of similarities and differences especially in areas like flexibility, comprehension of the course material, and discipline. Traditional is what I had my entire life up until I entered high school. It is what I prefer out of both choices. I learn from one on one interaction, and that is something that online doesn t have. In traditional there is not very much flexibility because of several reasons. Classes are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Neolithic Revolution Or Agricultural Revolution Molly FitzPatrick Parolin, 7th hour AP World History September 15, 2017 Neolithic Government Around 12,000 years ago the Neolithic or Agricultural Revolution began. This period started after the end of the last ice age. The Neolithic Revolution brought the first organized government. The Neolithic Revolution made government essential because there was a need to organize the more expansive population, large construction projects, and trade with other Neolithic Villages. During the Neolithic Revolution not only did the amount of surplus food grow, but so did the population creating a need for organization from a leader or some sort of government. According to scholars, the world s population 10,000 years ago was a microscopic 6 million people. By comparison there are 6 billion people estimated on Earth today. The population then grew to about 50 million people by 5,000 years ago. What took place during those 5,000 years? The agricultural revolution began just about 12,000 years ago or 10,000 B.C.E. During that time the last ice age ended, creating a more stable environment for growing crops and domesticating animals. The domestication of plants and animals created a surplus of food compared to the amount of food in gathering and hunting societies. An abundance of food allowed more people to live in each village. An example of population growth in a Neolithic Village is the early agricultural settlement of Jericho located in present day Israel. Jericho was uncovered by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Analysis Of Human Family By Maya Angelou Human Family by Maya Angelou Juxtaposition: When two topics that are brought up together, contrast to bring out the differences in them Example: I note the obvious differences in the human family... But we are more alike than we are unalike Human Family, Maya Angelou, 1 2 and 35 36. Function: The speaker points out all the ways that, as humans, we are different. The way we act, the way we look, the ways we are amused, etc. They talk of how they once traveled the world and saw all the differences in everyone, yet in those differences, found out we are more alike than set apart. As they note that there are differences in the beginning of the poem, there is contrast in the idea that we are all more alike than unalike. We think that the speaker is simply going to tell us how we are all the same, but they begins by pointing out that we aren t. That causes the reader to think deeper into the meaning and what it means if the speaker knows we are all different and unique. This juxtaposition helps the poem as it brings up all the things the reader would be thinking in their brains if it had simply said that we are all the same. The speaker states that it is fact we are all different, but when looked at on a deeper level, we all share the same emotions and are very similar. Alzheimer s by Kelly Cherry Imagery: The description of an event, object, or person that is so in depth that the reader can picture it in their minds. Example: He remembers it as his, remembers the walkway he built between the front room ad the garage, the rhododendron he planted in the back, the car he used to drive Alzheimer s, Kelly Cherry, 14 17. Function: A man with Alzheimers is just arriving home for the first time after being in the hospital. He is welcomed by, what we assume to be, his wife. As he arrives at the door he begins to think and remember the vivid memories he has in this house. This imagery shows the reader that the man, although he has alzheimers, can still remember the house he built and everything about where he lived. He also talks earlier in the poem about the weather ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Silver In The 18th Century Dbq Silver in the 16th century and early 18th century was a product that was widely used and traded across the world both as a currency and a feature in households and stores. The trade of silver included large scale social and economic effects that spread around the world, impacting large centralized governments such as the chinese, to smaller, less organized areas in the americas. Silver allowed the early modern age to flourish, and grow economically, socially, and in global trade. Silver had a profound effect on the global economy, for example, silver backed nearly all of China s economy back in the day and silver quickly became the core of China s economic life. However I believe that the point of view in this passage is slightly swayed by the fact that the author is a county official who is most likely wealthy and he may simply be referring to his own greed. In document 5 it shows how silver was eventually used as a currency and people were no longer able to keep tabs as they had to pay with silver up front. I believe the purpose of this document is important due to the growing use of silver and how it was affecting the cities that began to use it. In document 7 silver can clearly be seen affecting social lives through the increased demand for foreign products. • 19. Emily Dickinson Extended Metaphors For most, specifically female poets, Emily Dickinson is a legend. Dickinson emerged out of an era in the 1800 s when women were not acknowledged for their diligence and were not given the opportunities to be educated as males were given. Dickinson wrote a total of one thousand seven hundred and seventy five poems including She Sweeps with many colored Brooms , which was written between 1858 and 1861. Dickinson is well known for the themes of her literary works to involve death, love, religion, nature, or eternity. • 20. The Concept Of Collaboration Within The Organization Introduction Interagency collaboration is the modern concept of collaboration in which different organization within and outside of government work together towards a common objective. Collaboration involves all the organizations and agencies in the advancement of the common agenda, and it has been the real catalyst for development (Finn Kohler, 2009). Different programs have been initiated to ensure that agencies can collaborate and work together to enhance social, economic and political development. Agencies can collaborate at different levels ranging from exchange of information, coordination, cooperation and collaboration and all the levels of collaboration focus on working together to achieve common objectives (Noonan Morningstar, 2008). At the basic level, the issue of collaboration has no single comprehensive definition, but generally, it refers to the joint action in different organizations in an effort to articulate for a common objective. Inter agency collaboration aims to bring together agencies, service providers, and workforces to form temporary of long lasting partnerships that can enable sharing of resources to reduce the overall costs for program implementation and increase efficiency. Interagency collaboration is the only approach to enhance sharing of duties and responsibilities in program implementation. • 22. Enzyme Catalysis And Enzyme Inhibition Essay Enzyme catalysis and enzyme inhibition are two essential biological mechanisms of organisms. In this experiment, WT AP and MBP AP enzyme are reacted with different concentrations of PNPP substrate in SpectrovVis time based assays. From the change in absorbance over time data, and the rates of the reactions are calculated, followed by the determination of the kinetic constants. Then, the MBP AP assays are repeated with two different concentrations of phosphate inhibitor and the kinetic constants of the uninhibited enzymes are compared to those of the inhibited enzymes. Results of the experiment show that the uninhibited WT AP and MBP AP enzymes yielded expected kinetic constants according to a reference. However, the inhibited enzymes produced kinetics constants that did not resemble a competitive inhibition, which was expected. Instead, the inhibitor is observed to be a mixed inhibitor. Introduction Enzymes are biological catalysts. Without them, biological reactions will not proceed in a reasonable rate. For example, without a series of digestive enzymes, it can take 20 years to digest a hamburger. Enzyme catalyzed reactions proceed through an ES complex, in which the substrate binds to the enzyme, gets transformed into the product, and releases into the environment. For a specific enzyme, only one or a few different substrate molecules can bind in the proper manner and produce a functional ES complex. The substrate must have a size, shape, and polarity compatible with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Renowned for his novel Things Fall Apart, in which he responds to the stereotypes of the British who conquered the continent of Africa in the era of New Imperialism, Achebe explores Igbo culture through many aspects of daily village life. Contradicting the racism employed by whites in the 1890s in order to justify slavery in earlier history, Things Fall Apart offers a new fresh perspective into the lives of ordinary villagers of the Igbo tribe in Nigeria, before they are taken over by the British. Just as the whites in Europe, the tribe applies their own religion, customs, beliefs, and language to their lives. Through this lens the reader is able to extract a deeper meaning of the powerful message Achebe communicates by penning the famous novel. The Chinese market is responsible for the consumption of a quarter of the world s overall beer volume. Also, a tenth of the revenue from the beer industry can be traced to the Chinese market. The Chinese beer market is so massive it seems like a sure fire way to generate an increase revenue for any beer company. The Chinese market seems so viable that many western brands are looking to expand into the market possibly as a way to compensate for lagging sales in America as a result of the increase in American preference for craft beers and local brews. In order to enter this highly competitive Chinese beer market, western companies should try some various less conventional tactics to entering the marketplace. As stated in the article the Chinese market is experiencing stagnant growth in their beer industry. This stagnant phase has been attributed to the Chinese economic slowdown, population aging, as well as the increased interest of Chinese consumers in comparable beverages and local brews. In order to address these concerns, western companies should figure out how to take their brand name, but make a local version of it. Making a premium local craft beer product line specifically for the Chinese market would tap into the Chinese interests in craft beers, while also simultaneously tapping into the market of younger consumers that are pushing the ... The Consequences Of The Goose Girl, A Fairy Tale Goose Girl is a fairy tale collected by the Grimm brothers who s story line is about a young Princess arranged for a marriage with a far away prince, and is deceived from her title on her way to her bridegroom. Deceived and over powered by her waiting woman, the Princess shows development, but our dreamer for this analysis is the waiting woman. Fairy tales are all about embracing birth rights, and this is exactly what the waiting woman is deviant about: she broke from the system and tries to work her way up a class that she is not born into. The waiting woman struggles with her individuation, the process of accepting the daily events. Through this analysis, the consequences of not accepting the life you are born to live will serve as an example of a deeper evil. First, to begin this analysis, the archetypes are to be assigned. We will start with the shadow, represented by the Princess. Accordingly, this is a same sex character that at first embodies the elements a waiting woman should have: quiet, submissive, and compliant because she had to give away and let it be as [the waiting woman] said (583). The Princess carries the qualities that are considered to be expected of a waiting woman. The opposite sex character that represents the animus in the waiting woman s story is the horse, Falada. The horse noticed and remembered the acts the waiting woman commits, so she later on tries to get rid of the horse, who later develops the story in an indirect way (583). The waiting woman s self is represented by the casket dragged by horses idea she pitched in for the King. Her refusal to become who she was intended to be led her to declaring her own fate. Moreover, to explain these labels, the important events relevant to the development of the waiting woman should be recognized and explained. The waiting woman is first set on her journey to fulfill her duties beside the Princess after mounting their respective horses. On both occasions that the Princes has been thirsty, the waiting woman declares I will not be your slave. If you want a drink, you may get it yourself; I am not going to be your slave (582). • 29. The Tale Of Three Brothers Fairy tales have an enormous impact on the world we live in. They are used as tools to teach children life lessons in such a way that doesn t scare them, but does prepare them for the harsh realities of the world. We have many such examples in our own lives, it seems only natural that the wizarding world would have their own. One interesting thing about wizarding fairy tales is that unlike their muggle counterparts, magic is a good force. While good magic does exist in muggle fairy tales, for instance Cinderella s godmother, more often than not it is portrayed as the evil weapon in the story. The Tale of Three Brothers is a story where Death is a character. He greets three brothers who have used their knowledge in the magical arts to cheat him. Instead of killing them on the spot, he grants them each a gift. The eldest chooses an unbeatable wand, the middle plots to humiliate death further by asking for a stone that can raise the dead, while the youngest asks for a cloak that will shield its wearer from being followed by Death. The three brothers soon part ways and choose their own paths, and ultimately their deaths. The first is murdered after he boasts loudly about being unbeatable, the second kills himself after finding that the stone cannot truly bring anyone back, but the third lives a long and full life and greets death as an old friend (Rowling, 93). Soviet war casualties accounted for the highest proportion of the conflict in the effort of acquiring the upper hand over Axis forces at intense battles such as Stalingrad and Kursk. The territories overtaken by the Red Army became satellite states of the USSR; the postwar division of Europe into capitalist and communist halves would lead to increased tensions with the West, led by the United States. The Cold War emerged by 1947, as the Eastern Bloc, united under the Warsaw Pact in 1955, confronted the Western Bloc, united under NATO in 1949. Following Stalin s death in 1953, a period of political and economic liberalization, known as de Stalinization and Khrushchev s Thaw , occurred under the leadership of Nikita Khrushchev. The Soviet Union took an early lead in the Space Race, with the first artificial satellite and the first human spaceflight. In the 1970s, there was a brief détente of relations with the United States, but tensions resumed with the Soviet Afghan War in 1979. In the mid 1980s, the last Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, sought to reform and liberalize the economy through his policies of glasnost and perestroika. • 31. Characteristics Of The Null Hypothesis Our lab investigated the morphological characteristics of leaves found in the sun and shade on various species of maple and oak trees around campus. Our null hypothesis was Acer and Quercus acclimate similarly with regards to SLW (specific leaf weight), size, and sinuosity. Our hypothesis was Quercus acclimation is greater than Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity. We tested these hypotheses by picking small sections of a branches from both maple and oak trees. A group was assigned either a maple or an oak tree, and needed a total of three different trees per group. Once three different trees were chosen, groups needed three shade leaves and three sun leaves of off each different tree. In total, each group should then end up with 18 leaves for testing. After collecting the leaves, we ran them through the LiCor 3100 leaf area meter to identify the area of each leaf. Major results found by the classes mutual data was each one of our p values were greater than .05. This means that we failed to reject the null hypothesis. Thus, the lab results do not support our hypothesis that Quercus acclimation is greater than Acer SLW, size, and sinuosity. Introduction In articles written by Thomas Jurik and Ulo Niinements and Kalevi Kull they discuss how sun and shade leaves look different and why. Both papers suggest that sun leaves have thicker cuticles and are more deeply lobed. Mcluhan is trying to convey to readers that even with the utmost effort, we cannot block out sounds we do not want to hear, and furthermore that we do not even have to focus to hear everything but that the act of hearing through your ears is a constant activity happening 24/7. Mcluhan uses a variety of linguistic elements in his passage that help concentrate the idea. A really vital linguistic element McLuhan uses are short fragmented sentences that are dense. The strategy behind these sentences are to deliver a blow with just a couple of words. We are enveloped by sound, is a sentence that justifies this. These evil acts can symbolize darkness in any situation, such as violence, discrimination, and other cruel acts that people experience daily. Acts of darkness could cause harm to an individual physically or emotionally. In the novel, Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, the word darkness is used to symbolize many events that happened in the continent of Africa. Three events that symbolize the word darkness are the Europeans cruel behaviors, Kurtz s selfishness, and Marlow s sexist statements. One event in the novel that displayed darkness was when the Europeans were cruel to the Africans. The main character, Marlow, went on a voyage to the Congo River. When Marlow arrived in Africa, he recognized that the Africans were being treated in an evil manner. In the novel, Marlow states, They were dying slowly it was very clear. They were not enemies, they were not criminals, they were nothing earthly now nothing but black shadows of disease and starvation, lying confusedly in the greenish gloom (Conrad, 82). Marlow would occasionally speak sexist statements to himself, which shows that Marlow has a heart of darkness. In the novel, Marlow states, It s queer how out of touch with truth women are. They live in a world of their own, and there has never been anything like it, and never can be. It is too beautiful altogether, and if they were to set it up it would go to pieces before the first sunset (Conrad, 76). This statement from Marlow signifies that he is an individual who thinks that women cannot do anything on this earth except make it worse. This definitely shows that Marlow has a heart of darkness. • 40. Victimization Of The Female Dancer In Battle Royal Victimization of the Female Dancer in Battle Royal In Ralph Ellison s Battle Royal , two different victims of the prominent white men are portrayed: the greater known victim of the African American boys and the lesser female dancer. Both of these victim groups are relevant to the story, however one gets more recognition than the other. In the story, Ellison identifies racism and bigotry exerted by the white men onto the African American boys in a fist fight and electric rug scene. Before the physical torture of the boys, Ellison brings attention to the sexism and degrading actions toward a naked female dancer. The evils endured by the boys and the dancer are equally bad in their own right, although the female dancer s are subdued. The female dancer endured the derogatory ideas of the men, their forcefulness, and their different emotional traumas. The female dancer first falls victim to the prominent white men and the African American boys in the derogatory ideas and thoughts they are having. Before the physical actions of the men, the dancer was already a victim by their degrading thoughts and lustful feelings. The men looked at her like she was a circus kewpie doll , already likening her to a toy for their amusement making her nonhuman to them (270). By likening her to a kewpie doll, they could rationalize their animalistic thoughts, making their feelings seems appropriate. Distributed Database Vs Centralized Database Distributed Database vs Centralized Database centralized database: In a centralized database, all the data of an organization is stored in a single place such as a mainframe computer or a server. Users in remote locations access the data through the Wide Area Network (WAN) using the application programs provided to access the data. In a centralized database, all data of an organization are kept in a single computer as a central processor or server. Users in remote locations access data by using WAN by application software provided to access data. The centralized database (the central processor or server) should be able to satisfy all requests from the system; therefore, it creates restricted access. But since all data resides in a single location it easier to maintain and support data. In addition, it is easier to maintain the integrity of data, because once the data is stored in a centralized database, out of date data is no longer available in other places. Distributed Database: In a distributed database, the data is stored in storage devices that are in different physical locations. • 43. Black Elk And The Struggle Of Faith Black Elk and the Struggle of Faith The story of Nicholas Black Elk was one that was reluctantly told, a Lakota medicine man, a visionary of his own sort. Written by John G. Neihardt, Black Elk Speaks captures the essence of what the Lakota culture based its teachings off of, as well as exhibiting who Black Elk really was. When Neihardt began his dialogues with Black Elk he knew which questions to ask, his plan was clear from the beginning. There were choices made by Neihardt that seem controversial, such as why he decided to end his book at the Battle of Wounded Knee instead of continuing through Black Elk s life and his conversion to Catholicism. The steps taken by Neihardt succeeded in portraying Black Elk s own story, and the importance of his vision on his life. Black Elk himself can be looked upon as a character within an all encompassing realm of change. From the time that he was a boy he had been instilled with the fear of the Wasichu , as well as the virtues of the Lakota religion. A short way into the telling of his story, Black Elk shares with Neihardt that at the age of 9, he had a vision. As rudimentary as it sounds, this vision can be attributed with shaping Black Elk s whole life. Black Elk s recollection of the vision is impeccable, not a detail goes unremembered. Without much evidence as to what caused Black Elk to fall sick, the book describes swelling and what would be thought of today as hallucinations. Black Elk only finds his vision because he is ... After conducting this survey, I had quite a variety of responses regarding voting participation, fortunately, the majority did exercise their right to vote. While reviewing the responses I learned that many decided to vote because they knew how important it was if they wanted to have a say in their government. Which was something that I did not expect mainly because I usually hear people complain about the government, yet they do not even attempt to get involved with politics to try to change what they dislike. Another finding was that all the survey participants were aware that voting with a majority party was a safe bet if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The book starts with the author talking about the Huls and Gardar Farm, and how even though they were thousands of miles apart, they had many similar strengths which made them the superior farm in the area. The author then reveals that the Huls farm was a growing farm in the modern U.S. and the Gardar Farm was a Norse farm in greenland that was abandoned over 500 years ago. After revealing the differences between the two farms, Diamond then states that any society, even one seeming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For a role of a third factor, climate change, we also have no evidence at present, though it may emerge in the future. That leaves us with just two main sets of factors behind Easter s collapse: human environmental impacts, especially deforestation and destruction of bird populations; and the political, social, and religious factors behind the impacts, such as the impossibility of emigration as an escape valve because of Easter s isolation, a focus on statue construction for reasons already discussed, and competition between clans and chiefs driving the erection of bigger statues requiring more wood, rope, and food. The purpose of this paper is to describe the usage of Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) header for Network Virtualization (NVGRE) in multi tenant data centers. Several issues with traditional data center designs such as static workloads, limitations on dynamic allocation of server and network, oversubscribed network when using RSTP to avoid loops, 4K subnet limit ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Traditional Data Centers have obsolete design catering to static workloads, fragmented networks and server capacity limiting the dynamic allocation and consolidation of capacity. Most Layer 2 networks use rapid spanning tree protocol to eliminate possible loops by blocking redundant paths, but it results in wasted capacity and oversubscribed network. Network fragmentation and VLANs are used for traffic management, security, performance and broadcast isolation among services belonging to different clients or tenants. For forwarding VLAN tagged packets, each layer 2 device needs to be configured and each layer 3 subnet needs to be mapped to one VLAN. In the data center infrastructure which is shared by multiple tenants, the 4000 VLAN limit is no longer acceptable. Also migrating workloads require network to be re configured which can consume resources and be error prone. To respond to dynamic workloads and demands, network administrators and operators must be to achieve high utilization of server and network capacity, be able to assign workloads operating in single layer 2 network to any server in any rack in the network, be able to move workloads without re configuring the network. This is achieved by decoupling the workload s location from its network address. Therefore, key design objectives for the modern data centers are: Location independent addressing Scalable number of Layer2/layer 3 networks regardless of number of VLANS or underlying physical ... • 51. New Testament Research Paper What is New Testament? The New Testament is a collection of books which contains the writings concerning the significant events in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. These books appeared after the physical death of Jesus Christ. In this regard, Jesus had left no records concerning him, and all that is written about him depends wholly on what other people have written about him. The first four books of the New Testament are part of the several biographies of Jesus which were written by the end of the first century of the era of Christianity. Then before any of these biographies have been drafted, there were Christian communities which were being instructed through epistles on how to live like Jesus and how to solve their problem like Christians. A good number of these letters were written by a man called Paul. After Paul death, some other new leaders of the Christian movement continued to write letters to the churches to encourage and strengthen them. As Christians grew in number persecution arose, and some letters have been drafted to support them and also to counter the false doctrines. These letters are part of the New Testament. The twenty seven books of the New Testament were selected from the list of writings in that period (Bruce, 1988) The New Testament is a history of Jesus of Nazareth and his ...
