The Role Of Social Media In The Ecommerce Industry
Social media has been becoming an increasingly essential part of individual daily activity. Since social
media site first found in 1997 , the presence of social media today is being more ubiquitous and more
evolving progressively. By 2016, 69% U.S. adults use at least one social media site daily. The number
of social media users has increased rapidly compared to ten years ago which only 11% of the U.S.
adult population (Pew Research Center, 2017). Social media is a type of electronic communications
where people can build relationship and can share ideas to other people in active online communities.
In recent years, social media has become the most popular activity on the Internet. As a central feature
of the Internet, social media has also become increasingly essential part of any industry. This digital
era has changed how businesses market their products or services. E commerce industry is the
evidence that the rise of new technologies has allowed businesses to engage consumers in a digital
market. E commerce industry mostly depend their business strategies on digital marketing. Most
marketers today use social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as part of their
marketing strategies to reach consumers. This paper aims to address the role of social media in e
commerce industry as well as the advantages and disadvantages of using social media and the dangers
in using social media.

Vladimir Nabokov s Destroyed Innocence
Destroyed Innocence
Love and obsession are often misinterpreted to be the same thing, yet one can cause people to flourish,
while another destroys the people involved. Humbert Humbert becomes obsessed with the childlike
innocence in young girls and pursues a 12 year old girl, Lolita. Humbert and Lolita develop a sexual
relationship that inevitably takes away her innocence more each time that they are together. Vladimir
Nabokov uses irony and diction in Lolita to show how Humbert is obsessed with Lolita s childlike
innocence, and how his obsession leads to the destruction of the childhood that he is so desperately
trying to obtain. Humbert so desperately attempts to regain a childhood he lost through Lolita,
ironically his attempts put him farther away from his goal as he destroys ... Show more content on

He uses Lolita s childlike innocence in an attempt to regain some childhood that he never had, yet him
trying to to gain this childhood from Lolita only destroys the childhood that she has, and forces her to
grow up as he once did. Humbert s perverse desires to claim Lolita s childhood destroy any chance
that he has to gain one and Lolita s childhood. When Humbert goes after Lolita he wants to do
everything with her remaining oblivious to his acts. yet that is almost impossible, and the more he
pursued, the more she reciprocated his advances. Humbert will never be satisfied in his relationship
for Lolita because she can not stay the innocent girl that he has created in his head. Every time
Humbert comes into contact with her, the more she is forced to grow out of her innocence and the less
appealing she becomes to Humbert. However Humbert refuses to accept that the Lolita he has
concocted is not real. He goes after Lolita with an obsessive nature. His need to recreate his past love
drives him. Yet this insatiable need for a pure innocent child is impossible for him to ever

Tibetan Independence Essay
The Question of Tibetan Independence
China has occupied the Tibetan plateau with military force for over 50 years now. The legitimacy of
Chinese claims to lawful control over Tibet is an extremely complicated issue, in many ways made
more difficult by the unusual relationship Tibet maintained in relation to the international community
before 1950. There are several competing considerations regarding Tibet s rightful status, each to be
addressed in turn. A historical account is necessary to address claims that Tibet has always been an
integral part of China, as well as to determine what formal arrangements have existed in the past and
with what parties. Determining the status of Tibet in international law is a crucial step in ... Show

This supposed connection refers to a rather complex relationship that has evolved over a period of
centuries. Though historically there certainly has been contact and some degree of connection between
Tibet and China, this connection does not necessarily provide the basis for Chinese claims to lawful
possession of Tibet. One fundamental issue when dealing with the legal status of Tibet is to first
determine what the name Tibet refers to, which is in fact enormously controversial. The current
Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) as designated by the PRC is not equivalent to the traditional
Greater Tibet referred to by Tibetans. There are large groups of ethnically Tibetan people in the
Qinghai, Sichuan, and Gansu provinces of China, separate from the TAR. These regions lay outside of
what Melvyn Goldstein terms political Tibet , the central Tibetan areas administered as part of Tibet
more or less continuously since the inception of unified Tibetan government. Tibetans in exile
consider the eastern regions, which they know as Kham and Amdo to also be contained within Tibet .
Goldstein dubs these areas ethnographic Tibet (Goldstein xi).
The distinction between political and ethnographic Tibet creates confusion, much of it willful, in
discussion of the historical relations between Tibet and China. For example, there are instances where
the Chinese claim that they received governmental

Nkt Organs And The Role Of Type II NKT Cells
Type II NKT TCRs are more prevalent in humans, yet, remain as one of the least functionally
characterized NKT cell populations. However, with the advent of Jα18 gene KO studies, the role of
type II NKT cells in antimicrobial immunity is progressively appreciated. A series of structural studies
have provided the molecular basis of type I NKT TCR mCD1d Ag complex and demonstrated a
distinct recognition pattern dominated by the CDR loops encoded by the germline region of the TCR.
The parallel docking mode that underpinned type I NKT TCR recognition has remained well
preserved regardless of the antigens or TCR Vβ gene usage and indicated the central role played by
the invariant α chain in innate like recognition. Recently, the structure of the ... Show more content on

Apparently, the study also provided a compelling difference in the recognition pattern compared with
type I NKT TCRs, where a conserved docking mode underpinned both self and microbial antigen
recognition (Li et al., 2010; Mallevaey et al., 2011; Pellicci et al., 2009).
Although TRAV4*01 type II TCR engaged mCD1d α Glc A DAG in type I NKT TCR like recognition
mode, an apparent difference was observed in regard to their relative TCR/CD1d interface. Namely, In
TRAV4*01 type II TCR complex, the TCR interacted predominately through non germline encoded
CDR3 loop region, with both the α and β chain contributing equally to the BSA of TCR/CD1d
interface, whereas the interaction in type I NKT TCR mCD1d Ag is largely germline mediated and
primarily driven by the CDR loop region encoded within the α chain (Rossjohn et al., 2012).
However, the TRAV4*01 TCR mCD1d framework was found to be more similar to that of type II
TCR CD1d complexes determined to date. It, therefore, remains an interesting question as to why
TRAV4*01 type II TCR required a type I NKT TCR like recognition mode to establish type II NKT
TCR footprint? It may be possible that TRAV4*01 type II TCR prerequisite type I like docking mode
for its positive selection in the thymus. Interestingly, the tyrosine motif (Tyr49β Tyr51β) of CDR2β
which is regarded as a key recognition codon central to the binding orientation of the majority of type
I NKT TCR population (Wun et al., 2008) is

Using R And R Statements Essay
Adults in both videos did not use R and R statements because they did not describe and help children
to understand what children were doing. First, a mother was complaining to her child crying and
pulling her, carrying her to outside. The mother lost her temper and kept sending you Messages
instead of I Messages. She blamed on her child for everything. She didn t think what the real problem
was. She asked to her child, Why you do that? , but this why questions were not open ended questions.
These questions were more coming from the adult frustration that she could not control over her child.
She also called her daughter bad names and treated her child without dignity. The mother was just
reacting the situation and made her more miserable. She is a really bad role model for her child. Both
mother and caregivers are not effective and active communicators.
Second, at naptime a boy named Joshua seemed like to be given hard time sleeping. The caregiver told
Joshua what she wanted him to do. She said, You don t have to go to sleep, but you need to lay down
and rest. I think if she stopped at this sentence, he might not scream. However, she added that playing
was not the choice. That adding sentence made him really upset. When caregiver asked Joshua, why
questions to him, she should let him calm down first. The caregiver placed Joshua s napping mat
isolated from children as if he was timeout. She said, I am not coming back if you do... , and she

Questions on Christianity Theology
Although I have been a Christian most of my life and have gone through Christian education my
whole life, there are still some theological topics that I wrestle with. These are things I will I will
probably continue to wrestle with. The topics I have trouble fully understanding are the views of
baptism, the elect, security of salvation, and the roles of women in the church. The first topic I have
wrestled with is adult baptism versus infant baptism. I grew up in the reformed church, so I was
baptized as an infant. When I was in fourth grade my family began attending a Wesleyan church,
where they practice adult baptisms. Baptism involves identification with Christ in His death and
resurrection. It is a public display of one s decision to follow Christ. As a child I did not understand
this. I had not yet made this decision to follow Christ. My parents have told me that I should get re
baptized now that I am an adult. Is it wrong for me to choose not to? Is there a right or wrong way of
baptism? I agree believers should be baptized, but does the form fall outside of orthodoxy? I have had
other people ask me similar things. They ask if they should get re baptized since they were baptized as
an infant. I do not believe being baptized as a child will get one to heaven if he or she dies before
understanding Christ and making the choice to follow Him. I see it as symbolic of one s faith, but not
a detrimental part of salvation. I want to believe I do not have to to get

Google And Bing s Search Tools
Title of Your Report
Google it! . No, but really, Google it.
After analyzing both Google and Bing s search tools, I ve come to the conclusion that Google just has
more to offer. The tool that stands out the most and gave the best results was the Verbatim option
under All results . When using it, Google will only display results specific to the user s search term or
phrase. For example, when I search Gerrymandering , no results containing synonyms, similar terms,
previously used websites, or words from the same stem will appear in my results. When searching for
a phrase such as Gerrymandering in Maryland , the verbatim tool will only show the user results with
that exact phrase. No results containing those words separated should appear. Another great search
tool Google has to offer is the Advanced search , found in the upper right hand corner under the
options button. This tool offers the user many ways to narrow down their search to find the the exact
result their looking for. Some Advanced search allows users to search by language, region, last
updated, file type, usage rights, site or domain name, where the phrase appears on the site, ranging
numbers, and exact words or phrases. This tool is extremely beneficial to a searcher who knows
exactly what they re looking for, but can t find it in a general search.
While I find that Google offers a more efficient search engine, Bing has some unique search tools
itself. To start, when I search Gerrymandering , I see

Leonardo Da Vinci s story starts in April 15,1452 in the town of Vinci, Republic of Florence.
Leonardo was a scientist before he was a artist. At this time, he didn t show any signs of being an artist
in the inside. He was born to unmarried parents, which lead to him staying with his father. As he grew
older he grew an interest in all different types of artwork. Da Vinci is well known for his passion for
many different kinds of arts and sciences. Da Vinci was a true renaissance man. Leonardo da Vinci

The Causes Of Racial Inequality In The United States
Racial inequality has always been an issue of the past in the United States that is still present today,
but what happens when racism interferes with the well being and health of minorities? When it comes
to health African Americans fall at the bottom of the list. African Americans are much more likely
than people in other racial/ethnic groups to die from heart disease and stroke. Heart disease and stroke
are the biggest reasons for inequality in life expectancy between whites and African Americans.
(Aetna) There are countless influences that contribute to the result of poor health of blacks in the
United States such as racial discrimination, environmental exposures, poor nutrition, physical
inactivity, the lack of access to health care, incarceration, poverty, various diseases and many more.
Today, gentrification has become a huge systematic problem especially in urban neighborhoods. Many
fast food restaurants are being planted in areas where the vast majority of African Americans live. The
nearest supermarket that sell fresh fruit and vegetables to urban areas are usually five or more miles
away which means that many people are unable to travel to supermarkets. Also, these supermarkets
have limited hours or they sell expensive food which makes it nearly impossible to purchase food for
themselves or for their family. African Americans are 1.4 times as likely as whites to have high blood
pressure. (Aetna) This makes it easier to purchase more unhealthy food that can

The Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin A Game of Thrones is set in the Seven Kingdoms of
Westeros, a land reminiscent of medieval Europe. Fifteen years prior to the novel, the Seven
Kingdoms were torn apart by a civil war, known as the War of the Usurper. Prince Rhaega Targaryen
kidnapped Lyanna Stark angering her family and of her fiancé, Lord Robert Baratheon. The Mad
King, Aerys II Targaryen had Lyanna father and brother executed when they demanded her safe return.
Her second brother, Eddard, joined his boyhood friend Robert Baratheon and Jon Arryn in declaring
war against the ruling Targaryen dynasty. The civil war ended when Prince Rhaegar was killed in

Each perspective is held within a chapter which, when the characters move away from each other,
allows the author to leave minor cliff hangers at the end of each chapter. While six of the characters
from this first book are from the same family, the perspective is shifted around in preceding books.
Death is common is this book and it s was one of the best things about it because it played well to the
realism of the time that is depicted. Main characters are not safe like in other novels I have read and
this made for very exciting reading. Self preservation is often the cause for character splits and
confrontations, and by the end of the book characters you assumed you would be attached too for
some time are left headless and gutless or simply gone.
The novel, A Game of Thrones, begins with an encounter with supernatural beings; this may give a
false impression as to what will come. As the story begins to unfold, the theme moves strongly into
the area of political intrigue and this forthcoming war that will happen as a result. The fantasy
element, while always there plays only a minor role in the majority of the rest of the book. A Game of

families take centre stage in a battle for the Throne the Starks and the Lannisters. The Stark family

Gender Differences Between Lora And Annie
Lora is often opposite to Annie as she challenges the traditional female roles in cinema and regular life
while Annie strengthens them. This is because Lora is a single mother for a majority of the film and
struggles to spend time with her daughter Susie. This was unusual in films and regular life during the
1950s 1960s due to the strong adherence to gender roles which prioritized women to parenting over
jobs. Lora goes against many of the traditional female role in many ways with the first being how she
is shown as a work driven person with aspirations and hard work ethic. Lora shows her devotion to
work by refusing a marriage proposal from her first romantic partner Steve. This melodramatic scene
showed how Lora is an independent person who

Although this project included a variety of assessment methods, there were some potential limitations.
First, there were no ongoing preference assessments before conducting the reinforcement assessment
in different days. Kennedy and Haring (1993) indicated that individuals with profound intellectual
disabilities could change not over time, even within the course of one day. In addition, these
individuals also demonstrated habituations and novelty effects which may influence the validity of
further reinforcing testing or assessments (Logan et al., 2001). Therefore, it is important to reassess
participant s preferences frequently to ensure the experimenter is always using the preferred items.
However, it is relatively time consuming to conduct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Third, the reinforcement assessment results showed that the participant might have a difficulty on
understanding the task. Additional research can be done to include a thinning schedule in the
reinforcement assessment. Specifically, experimenter can conduct a rich reinforcement schedule (such
as FI 10s) at the beginning of the assessment and then gradually increase participant s engagement
time to get a reinforcer by using FI 20s, FI 30s and FI 40s schedules. This method may help
participant to have more exposure on the tasks and reinforcers and understand the contingency at the
beginning of the sessions. Fourth, the quality of the observational data should be taken into
consideration as some of the interobserver agreement data in this project were low (below 85%).
Cooper, Heron and Heward (2014) indicated that experimenters and clinicians should always choose

African American Theater Essays
Over the course of approximately one hundred years there has been a discernible metamorphosis
within the realm of African American cinema. African Americans have overcome the heavy weight of
oppression in forms such as of politics, citizenship and most importantly equal human rights. One of
the most evident forms that were withheld from African Americans came in the structure of the
performing arts; specifically film. The common population did not allow blacks to drink from the
same water fountain let alone share the same television waves or stage. But over time the strength of
the expectant black actors and actresses overwhelmed the majority force to stop blacks from appearing

they endear themselves to white audiences and emerge as heroes of sorts (6). One of the most
prevalent plays where this type of black characters emerged was given the name, Uncle Tom s Cabin.
This theatrical production came about during the 1850 s. It gave an overview of Harriet Beecher

The koala is the Australian jewel. It has very furry, ash colored hair, a rubbery black nose, sharp claws,
fuzzy ears, and a grizzly personality, or should I say, koalality. If you kill a koala, you ll make a
million off their fur! They would sell the fur to coat companies and make coats out of koala fur.
Well, sadly enough, too many people are making millions on koalas. That s why they re endangered
species.
Habitat
The koala is distributed along the eastern coastal semi tropical forests of Australia, ranging from north
Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and a small area in the south of Australia.

going around (chylamydia psittaci is an endangered virus.) The koala population is also still falling
due to destroyed habitats. The developers are coming into koala habitat and cutting down eucalyptus,
selling it and building homes. By the 2030 s, the koalas will have no place to live. Now, sadly, in
Sydney, koalas must cross the street to get to another eucalyptus tree. They have to go to another
eucalyptus tree every once and a while because that tree is the same tree from the same forest.
A lot of koalas are now becoming roadkill.
General Information
The koala is a one of a kind animal. It is the only one of its kind.
There are two sub species of koala though, in which there is the tiniest difference. The southern one
has a darker colored fur than the northern because it is colder in the south. The koala has only one
relative, the wombat. Koalas and wombats share a common ancestor from some 25 million years ago
on the landmass Lauasia (an ancient landmass that separated to make South America,
Africa, and Australia.) Most people think that the koala is related to bears, that is not true, the koala is
an aboreal (tree dwelling) bear. Most people also think that the koala is not harmful, that s wrong. The
koala is more like a grizzly bear than a teddy bear. The koala is dangerous

2. Explanation: Mills innovates by prioritizing and connecting pleasure with happiness. Pleasure itself
is a virtue. Utilitarianism acknowledges individual actions that benefit the greatest number. It affirms
majority happiness and individual general happiness. In simple terms it affirms all actions need to be
guided towards attaining happiness. As a result this keys this utilitarianism valid, because happiness is
universally sought. 3.Quote: Robert. H.Hoag explains in Happiness and Freedom: Recent Work on
John Stuart Mill Thus, on Mill s view, pleasures, virtue, money, fame, in individuality, and power can
be desired or desirable both as ends and as means to happiness, both as parts of and in relation to

greatest number while mitigating pain. While valid, it affirms human desire. It shows that it s ok for
people to desire grandoise. For anything is accessible to one s life. Thus utilitarianism remains valid
because it promotes all human pursuits. As long as it s in relation to one s happyiness and generates

The Theories Of Gestalt Psychology
Development of Gestalt Psychology Phrases such as seeing the forest from the trees and the whole is
greater than the sum of the parts have roots grounded in the same ideals of Gestalt psychology. These
phrases best describe the purpose of Gestalt psychology in how they emphasize focusing on the big
picture and not just the colors. The Gestalt concept of perception is how the mind understands the
world around it by seeing it in whole forms, not simple elements. The human brain and consciousness
contains an essence that loses value when broken down into elements of study. Origin of Gestalt
Musical notes when observed as whole produce complex and wonderful melodies. The notes alone do
not hold the same effect and take away value of the complete melody if only heard as individual tones.
When breaking such abilities down into elements, the value of the ability was being lost in the eyes of
Gestaltists. With psychology moving towards the molecular approach in studying consciousness and
behavior, the Gestaltists used a molar approach. (Hergenhan Henley, 2014). The origin of the word
Gestalt comes from Germany. According to Ginger (2007), the real meaning of the word is richer and
more complex, and is impossible to translate . The best comparison to English is configuration or form

Separation Between Classes In Pride And Prejudice And My...
Movie Text Analysis: Class Separation between classes has been evident ever since societies have
been begun. At some points in history, the differences in the classes were more noticeable than other
times. The movies, Pride and Prejudice and My Fair Lady, represent different classes, and how they
interact with each other. Even though the movies are set in different time periods, the interactions
between the classes are very similar. Although both movies show the differences of the society classes,
My Fair Lady shows the differences of the classes in a more obvious manner than Pride and Prejudice
which tends to show the differences in a more subdued manner. In Joe Wright s 2005 Pride and
Prejudice, the setting is around the beginning of the 1800 s in rural England. The audience is
introduced to the Bennett family that includes five unwed daughters. Since the daughters have no
inheritable rights, they must be married before their father dies. Their rural town does not have many
suitors in it, before the rich Mr. Bingley rents a large country home with his sister, and a good friend,
Mr. Darcy. Seeing an opportunity, Mrs. Bennett makes sure Mr. Bingley is introduced to her
daughters. Love kindles between Mr. Bingley and the oldest daughter, Jane, but misconception and
class separates them. The second eldest, Elizabeth, and Mr. Darcy let pride and prejudice stray their
views of each other. These relationships go through many trials such as class, pride, and prejudice.

Characteristics Of John Smith
Abusive. Slave owner. Boastful. All traits that the infamous John Smith possessed. In 1624, John
Smith wrote an autobiography about his encounters with the native Indians in North America, under
the name General History. Previously, Bartolomé De Las Casas wrote an autobiography about his
adventures in 1515 called Relation that discusses the mistreatment of the native Indians that he
observed in the Americas, specifically Hispaniola. John Smith s autobiography exhibits unacceptable
traits such as degrading Indians, boasting about himself and lusting for fame which makes De Las
Casas, the previous explorer of the Americas, a better role model who exhibited benevolent
characteristics.
John Smith s autobiography highlights his poor characteristics as a human being. For example, when
John Smith first encounters the native Indians, he tries to escape and he used an Indian as a human
shield against the rain of arrows that followed him. Smith had forcibly held a man against his will as
arrows pierced the Indian s body with each arrow being driven deep into his stomach. This act of
manipulation is morally wrong as everyone should be entitled to their own actions, but John Smith
takes this to a new level by sacrificing another s life to save his own. In addition, Smith s
autobiography talks of the six or seven weeks those barbarians kept him prisoner, (105). This
terminology is found throughout all of Smith s autobiography and is revolting as he killed many
Indians despite the

Comparing Form and Content of Jabberwocky, The Raven, and Lady of Shalott
In many poems, the use of imagery and sound causes the reader to consider them to be good or bad .
Repetition, alliteration, the use of metaphors and images together with rhymes and the text itself work
together to create that special feeling or message the poet wants to share. The Romantics believed that
poetry should express the poet s feelings or state of mind and should not be worked with or thought
through too much, since the original feeling thus would be lost, but in order to share your feelings or
ideas to the public, I believe it is important to present them in as good a form as possible.
If the author wants to create something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Poe is a master of describing horrible places and deluded minds; both in the way he builds up the plot,
but also in the way he describes details and surroundings. It seems like he himself had the idea that the
form of a poem was very important, but I cannot say whether he thought it more important than the
content, since he seems keen on telling his stories.
In poetry, form and content go hand in hand. Even though form is important, I believe that the most
important in a poem must be its content the message or feeling of what the poet wants to share and not
how. An example of the opposite can be seen in Carroll s Jabberwocky , and that cannot be labelled as
great poetry, can it?

The Effect Of Ethanol On The Production Of Ethanol
The production of Ethanol has been happening for many of years. The production of Ethanol is a form
alcoholic beverages, which humans have been drinking for many of hundreds of years. Ethanol is
produced when alcoholic fermentation occurs. Alcoholic or Ethanol fermentation is a biological
process that produces ethanol without needing oxygen. What is needed for this process to work is
glucose and yeast. The production of alcohol or ethanol is the chemical reaction that happens when
yeast breaks downs glucose (sugar). Glucose + Yeast → Alcohol + Carbon Dioxide. The different
types of alcoholic beverages come from the different glucose used, like the glucose from different
fruits. Whenever producing Ethanol or Alcohol you need to make sure that it is being brewed into a
vessel which allows the carbon dioxide to escape and prevents oxygens from coming in.
The Volmith Boutique Brewery has recently opened up their business and the demand of their
products has put stress on their staff. They have hired an group to conduct out a series of experiments
to observe the significant changes that might hinder or improve the production rate of the alcohol
being produced. The first variable we change was the temperature the group keep the flasks at. It was
hypothesised by the individual that the flasks that were at the temperature of 37 degrees and 25
degrees were to produce the most ethanol. This is because the optimal temperature for yeast is in
between 35 45 degrees. The flask that

Literary Themes In Reginald Rose s 12 Angry Men
The literary piece 12 Angry Men is a written play by Reginald Rose. It is a piece that describes the
concerns of a jury on a homicide case. The case involves a teenage boy that allegedly killed his father.
The adaptation is an excellent work of art that uses the best of the play and Hollywood movies to
make an alluring and captivating movie. The literary text is formal in the manner that it is written with
a good plot and is intriguing because of the conversations taking place by the jurors. The interesting
conversations intertwined with logical statements trying to prove or disprove the doubt of murder
makes it much more impressive. The murder and tension of a young boy s life, helps to pull a reader
closer and leads them to be more involved. Causal language is used in the book and lacks the tho s and
shalt s of Shakespearean work. The stage directions are typically one to two sentences describing
many of the motions the characters perform on stage which is longer than some other plays. The play
utilizes both first and third person throughout, first person helps the audience to experience from a
character s perspective and third person helps as an observer looking in. The movie 12 Angry Men
directed by Sidney Lumet was released in 1957. The reenacted movie is similar, but also has
additional content not found in the original play. The settings in the movie are given greater attention
to in terms of specificity. In the play, the scene begins with the jurors listening to the judge s final
statements about the case in the courtroom and then the jurors are dismissed and are shown walking
out into the jury room. The movie however, starts with the audience being in the spot of a casual
observer. The introduction could have been used to show the reality of setting through the emphasis of
how the court and courtroom were set up. The settings aren t only built upon through use of scenery in
the movie. The judge and more importantly the defendant are shown in the movie as opposed to the
play. This change in the movie which was not in the play catches the reader s attention because in the
play, the audience has a biased view of the defendant, and the only thing known is that he is a 19 year
boy who lived in the

Essay on The Newest Type of Transportation
The Newest Type of Transportation
Transportation, by definition, is the act of moving something or someone from one place to another.
There are many different types of transportation vehicles such as bicycles, boats, human feet (for
walking/running), and many more. Although when truly asked about transportation what comes to
mind? Yes, the automobile. The automobile, and transportation contains many issues to go along with
it. There are five main issues which consist of; social, physical, economic, energy demand, and
environmental. The first of the issues is the social transportation issue. The automobile has become

The fourth transportation issue is the energy demand issue. Our transportation is highly dependent on
the use of petroleum fuels. While the fuels are highly energy dense, and easy to transport, they are also
only limited in supply and we are rapidly using that up.
The last issue that comes from transportation and one of the biggest is the environmental impact. Due
to the use of petroleum gas which the combustion of it releases a numerous amount of pollutants into
the air. Automobiles contribute to the great amounts of carbon monoxide and more unhealthy
pollutants in the air. One of the greatest concerns is with the emission of the green house gas carbon
dioxide. In addition the large amounts of storm water that damage our streams, lakes, and rivers are
due to the transportation infrastructure. Also the dark paved roads, highways, etc. cause the head
island effect which is that the dark pavement attracts heat and causes the area to actually warm up and
those urban areas it causes people to use air conditioning more than they would ve so the electricity
consumption increases.[2] This transportation issue of the environment can be fixed through a new
century of car, an environmentally friendly car, a hybrid car.
Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV s) are vehicles that combine two or more power systems.

Arguments For And Against Scepticism
Scepticism can be defined as A view that doubts whether any of our beliefs can be supported by
adequate or sufficient evidence. (Richard H. Popkin, 1993, p. 182). This essay will be discussing the
arguments for and against the practise of scepticism. It will be focusing on the ideas of Socrates,
Descartes, Hume and Wittgenstein and it will elaborate on how their opinions on scepticism contrast,
in part, due to their historical setting. It will clarify and identify scepticisms role in society and the
changing role of philosophy from ancient to modern times.
Socrates began a revolution in philosophy when he called philosophy down from the heavens (Popkin,
1999, p. 23). He challenged the moral complaceny of his fellow citizens in Athens. He embarressed
them with their inabililty to answer questions such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To define scepticism would go against its very principle as that definition could very well be doubted
as its true form which in turn shows the primary flaw of scepticism itself to question everything is to
never move forward on a basis of acceptance. Therefore scepticism should be used sparsely as
questioning does help us move forward as a society. For example questioning medical practices can
help to advance a field by investing in new studies. Hume s science of man principal is an example of
how investing moderately in scepticism can help society. If there was an absence of sceptics in the
world we would be stuck in a never ending circle. Scepticism helps to influence others with an
opinion that may not always be the most popular. Wittgenstein gives examples just how far scepticism
can go with his arguments against Solipsism. This is the danger of scepticism; this chosen isolation
from the rest of humanity can lead to the beginning of cults and sects which can have disastrous
impacts on society. Scepticism in its finest form, is when it is balanced and used with some common

Swot Analysis Of Skullcandy
Shakera Butler
BUA450
Skullcandy Skullcandy was founded in 2003 by Rick Alden in Park City, Utah. The idea came to him
in 2001 when he was riding on a ski lift while listening to music. His phone rang and he had to change
his headphones over to the phone. That s when he told himself he wished there was headphones that
you could use both on a Mp3 player and a cell phone. In 2002, he created his first prototype called
Link, that were a hit. His company grew fast that he started to make headphones to go inside helmets,
MP3 equipped backpacks, and watches. Today you will also find Bluetooth speakers and gaming

The main weakness of Skullcandy is that they struggle to maintain grown. At one point of time, there
were so many orders coming in that production could barely keep up. It was also hard for them to
come out with new designs while trying to fix minor glitches in other products, and keep up with
production. Up until a couple of years ago, Skullcandy only had two suppliers; core channels and big
box retailers. They cared about loyalty and reputation to their core channels of specialty shops. With
these stores, there isn t a lot of them so most of their sales came from retailers, and if that fails the
company can too.
Opportunities
Skullcandy can expand their company to across the world. Beats by Dr. Dre is being sold international
through Apple. If Skullcandy explores the new markets and the developing ones, it could exceed the
company. There is a constant demand for headphones every day, they seem to be essential to people s
life. Just like any other headphone company there always wants for new designs and products. Apple s
iPhone is always changing every year, and everybody gets all excited for it. They have changed from
headphone with a cord to wireless headphone pods that you just stick in your ear. With new products
and production comes materials. Materials to produce headphones such as copper have risen in price.
Skullcandy and other companies have the power to negotiate it lower. More cheaper materials, the

native Africans are depicted as vicious savages.
In response to Conrad s stereotypical depiction of Africans, Chinua Achebe wrote Things Fall Apart

Introduction:
Irregular migrants are people living in a nation illegally. They do not have the citizenship of the

have passed they due date or has expired without having obtained the citizenship of the particular
nation are also viewed as irregular migrants in that particular country. Liberal democratic countries, on

progressive governments also give certain privileges to their citizens such as freedom for adults above
the age of 18years to vote and freedom of employment. They also provide free public education to its
citizens and access to healthcare services in public hospitals.

Mechanical Engineering, (id no. 13007522)
Abstract:
This deals with bending Finite Element Analysis of the aircraft wing using commercial software
ANSYS. An aircraft wing is made of composite with fibre angles in each ply aligned in different
direction. Various air foil thickness and ply angles were considered to study the effect of bending
torsion decoupling. The laminate characteristics are usually calculated using the number of layer,
stacking sequence, geometric and mechanical properties. A finite number of layers can be combined to
form so many laminates. The only restriction that is imposed on the laminate as an element of
composite structure concerns its total thickness which is assumed to be much smaller than the other
dimensions of the structure.
Aircraft wing model as per the plan should be made in FEA and the model is subjected to various
loading. The loading given by the self weight or due to acceleration due to gravity was discussed and
the deflection over here should be calculated. The wing model is severely affected by the loads on
along wing direction, across wing direction, vertical direction.NACA 2412 airfoil was taken for
designing wing. FLUENT was used for computational fluid dynamic analysis to determine the lift and
drag for wing during zero degreed flaps and angled

Adverse outcomes are not normal in nuclear power and aviation because the managing of risk is so
good, but in health care, they are prevalent. Several adverse events are often hidden, either on purpose,
or from the lack of informing the appropriate personnel. Whereas, some mistakes are not obvious due
to the poor health of the patient and are not uncovered until an investigation has taken place, which is

the safety outcomes were due to negligent care or the natural course of the disease.
Aviation and the making of nuclear power differ dramatically from the health care industry as in how
to maintain or repair a failed system. As Dr. Gaba (2013) noted, We do not design or construct the

We Choose To Go To The American Spirit Speech Summary
John F. Kennedy s Passionate Appeal to the American Spirit: We Choose to Go to the Moon On
September 12, 1962, John F. Kennedy gave a rhetorically sound speech at Rice University in Houston,
Texas with the intent to rally American support for his space exploration proposition. Kennedy had
proposed his plan to congress a couple months before and this speech was his call to the American
people to stand behind him. While the speech is remembered for its famous line, We choose to go to
the moon, it was a carefully constructed piece of rhetoric. Kennedy s immediate audience extends

American populace as both a way of informing the people about his plan for space exploration and ...

audience where they stand in reference to history while creating a sense of urgency. In his approach to
the known new contract, Kennedy conveys where America has been and where America is going.
Kennedy first conveys America s scientific position by stating, Despite the striking fact that most of
the scientists that the world has ever known are alive and working today... the unanswered and the

Vladimir Nabokov s Destroyed Innocence Destroyed Innocence Love and obsession are often misinterpreted to be the same thing, yet one can cause people to flourish, while another destroys the people involved. Humbert Humbert becomes obsessed with the childlike innocence in young girls and pursues a 12 year old girl, Lolita. Humbert and Lolita develop a sexual relationship that inevitably takes away her innocence more each time that they are together. The legitimacy of Chinese claims to lawful control over Tibet is an extremely complicated issue, in many ways made more difficult by the unusual relationship Tibet maintained in relation to the international community before 1950. There are several competing considerations regarding Tibet s rightful status, each to be addressed in turn. A historical account is necessary to address claims that Tibet has always been an integral part of China, as well as to determine what formal arrangements have existed in the past and with what parties. Determining the status of Tibet in international law is a crucial step in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This supposed connection refers to a rather complex relationship that has evolved over a period of centuries. Though historically there certainly has been contact and some degree of connection between Tibet and China, this connection does not necessarily provide the basis for Chinese claims to lawful possession of Tibet. One fundamental issue when dealing with the legal status of Tibet is to first determine what the name Tibet refers to, which is in fact enormously controversial. The current Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) as designated by the PRC is not equivalent to the traditional Greater Tibet referred to by Tibetans. There are large groups of ethnically Tibetan people in the Qinghai, Sichuan, and Gansu provinces of China, separate from the TAR. These regions lay outside of what Melvyn Goldstein terms political Tibet , the central Tibetan areas administered as part of Tibet more or less continuously since the inception of unified Tibetan government. Tibetans in exile consider the eastern regions, which they know as Kham and Amdo to also be contained within Tibet . Goldstein dubs these areas ethnographic Tibet (Goldstein xi). The distinction between political and ethnographic Tibet creates confusion, much of it willful, in discussion of the historical relations between Tibet and China. For example, there are instances where the Chinese claim that they received governmental ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Nkt Organs And The Role Of Type II NKT Cells Type II NKT TCRs are more prevalent in humans, yet, remain as one of the least functionally characterized NKT cell populations. However, with the advent of Jα18 gene KO studies, the role of type II NKT cells in antimicrobial immunity is progressively appreciated. A series of structural studies have provided the molecular basis of type I NKT TCR mCD1d Ag complex and demonstrated a distinct recognition pattern dominated by the CDR loops encoded by the germline region of the TCR. The parallel docking mode that underpinned type I NKT TCR recognition has remained well preserved regardless of the antigens or TCR Vβ gene usage and indicated the central role played by the invariant α chain in innate like recognition. Recently, the structure of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Apparently, the study also provided a compelling difference in the recognition pattern compared with type I NKT TCRs, where a conserved docking mode underpinned both self and microbial antigen recognition (Li et al., 2010; Mallevaey et al., 2011; Pellicci et al., 2009). Although TRAV4*01 type II TCR engaged mCD1d α Glc A DAG in type I NKT TCR like recognition mode, an apparent difference was observed in regard to their relative TCR/CD1d interface. Namely, In TRAV4*01 type II TCR complex, the TCR interacted predominately through non germline encoded CDR3 loop region, with both the α and β chain contributing equally to the BSA of TCR/CD1d interface, whereas the interaction in type I NKT TCR mCD1d Ag is largely germline mediated and primarily driven by the CDR loop region encoded within the α chain (Rossjohn et al., 2012). However, the TRAV4*01 TCR mCD1d framework was found to be more similar to that of type II TCR CD1d complexes determined to date. It, therefore, remains an interesting question as to why TRAV4*01 type II TCR required a type I NKT TCR like recognition mode to establish type II NKT TCR footprint? It may be possible that TRAV4*01 type II TCR prerequisite type I like docking mode for its positive selection in the thymus. Interestingly, the tyrosine motif (Tyr49β Tyr51β) of CDR2β which is regarded as a key recognition codon central to the binding orientation of the majority of type I NKT TCR population (Wun et al., 2008) is ... First, a mother was complaining to her child crying and pulling her, carrying her to outside. The mother lost her temper and kept sending you Messages instead of I Messages. She blamed on her child for everything. She didn t think what the real problem was. She asked to her child, Why you do that? , but this why questions were not open ended questions. These questions were more coming from the adult frustration that she could not control over her child. She also called her daughter bad names and treated her child without dignity. The mother was just reacting the situation and made her more miserable. She is a really bad role model for her child. Both mother and caregivers are not effective and active communicators. She said, You don t have to go to sleep, but you need to lay down and rest. I think if she stopped at this sentence, he might not scream. However, she added that playing was not the choice. Questions on Christianity Theology Although I have been a Christian most of my life and have gone through Christian education my whole life, there are still some theological topics that I wrestle with. These are things I will I will probably continue to wrestle with. The topics I have trouble fully understanding are the views of baptism, the elect, security of salvation, and the roles of women in the church. The first topic I have wrestled with is adult baptism versus infant baptism. I grew up in the reformed church, so I was baptized as an infant. When I was in fourth grade my family began attending a Wesleyan church, where they practice adult baptisms. Baptism involves identification with Christ in His death and resurrection. It is a public display of one s decision to follow Christ. As a child I did not understand this. I had not yet made this decision to follow Christ. My parents have told me that I should get re baptized now that I am an adult. Is it wrong for me to choose not to? Is there a right or wrong way of baptism? I agree believers should be baptized, but does the form fall outside of orthodoxy? I have had other people ask me similar things. They ask if they should get re baptized since they were baptized as an infant. I do not believe being baptized as a child will get one to heaven if he or she dies before understanding Christ and making the choice to follow Him. I see it as symbolic of one s faith, but not a detrimental part of salvation. I want to believe I do not have to to get ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, when I search Gerrymandering , no results containing synonyms, similar terms, previously used websites, or words from the same stem will appear in my results. The Causes Of Racial Inequality In The United States Racial inequality has always been an issue of the past in the United States that is still present today, but what happens when racism interferes with the well being and health of minorities? When it comes to health African Americans fall at the bottom of the list. African Americans are much more likely than people in other racial/ethnic groups to die from heart disease and stroke. Heart disease and stroke are the biggest reasons for inequality in life expectancy between whites and African Americans. (Aetna) There are countless influences that contribute to the result of poor health of blacks in the United States such as racial discrimination, environmental exposures, poor nutrition, physical inactivity, the lack of access to health care, incarceration, poverty, various diseases and many more. Today, gentrification has become a huge systematic problem especially in urban neighborhoods. Many fast food restaurants are being planted in areas where the vast majority of African Americans live. The nearest supermarket that sell fresh fruit and vegetables to urban areas are usually five or more miles away which means that many people are unable to travel to supermarkets. Also, these supermarkets have limited hours or they sell expensive food which makes it nearly impossible to purchase food for themselves or for their family. • 20. The Theories Of Gestalt Psychology Development of Gestalt Psychology Phrases such as seeing the forest from the trees and the whole is greater than the sum of the parts have roots grounded in the same ideals of Gestalt psychology. These phrases best describe the purpose of Gestalt psychology in how they emphasize focusing on the big picture and not just the colors. The Gestalt concept of perception is how the mind understands the world around it by seeing it in whole forms, not simple elements. The human brain and consciousness contains an essence that loses value when broken down into elements of study. Origin of Gestalt Musical notes when observed as whole produce complex and wonderful melodies. The notes alone do not hold the same effect and take away value of the complete melody if only heard as individual tones. When breaking such abilities down into elements, the value of the ability was being lost in the eyes of Gestaltists. With psychology moving towards the molecular approach in studying consciousness and behavior, the Gestaltists used a molar approach. (Hergenhan Henley, 2014). The origin of the word Gestalt comes from Germany. According to Ginger (2007), the real meaning of the word is richer and more complex, and is impossible to translate . • 27. The Effect Of Ethanol On The Production Of Ethanol The production of Ethanol has been happening for many of years. The production of Ethanol is a form alcoholic beverages, which humans have been drinking for many of hundreds of years. Ethanol is produced when alcoholic fermentation occurs. Alcoholic or Ethanol fermentation is a biological process that produces ethanol without needing oxygen. What is needed for this process to work is glucose and yeast. The production of alcohol or ethanol is the chemical reaction that happens when yeast breaks downs glucose (sugar). Glucose + Yeast → Alcohol + Carbon Dioxide. The different types of alcoholic beverages come from the different glucose used, like the glucose from different fruits. Whenever producing Ethanol or Alcohol you need to make sure that it is being brewed into a vessel which allows the carbon dioxide to escape and prevents oxygens from coming in. The Volmith Boutique Brewery has recently opened up their business and the demand of their products has put stress on their staff. They have hired an group to conduct out a series of experiments to observe the significant changes that might hinder or improve the production rate of the alcohol being produced. The first variable we change was the temperature the group keep the flasks at. It was hypothesised by the individual that the flasks that were at the temperature of 37 degrees and 25 degrees were to produce the most ethanol. This is because the optimal temperature for yeast is in between 35 45 degrees. The flask that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Literary Themes In Reginald Rose s 12 Angry Men The literary piece 12 Angry Men is a written play by Reginald Rose. It is a piece that describes the concerns of a jury on a homicide case. The case involves a teenage boy that allegedly killed his father. The adaptation is an excellent work of art that uses the best of the play and Hollywood movies to make an alluring and captivating movie. The literary text is formal in the manner that it is written with a good plot and is intriguing because of the conversations taking place by the jurors. The interesting conversations intertwined with logical statements trying to prove or disprove the doubt of murder makes it much more impressive. The murder and tension of a young boy s life, helps to pull a reader closer and leads them to be more involved. Causal language is used in the book and lacks the tho s and shalt s of Shakespearean work. The stage directions are typically one to two sentences describing many of the motions the characters perform on stage which is longer than some other plays. The play utilizes both first and third person throughout, first person helps the audience to experience from a character s perspective and third person helps as an observer looking in. The movie 12 Angry Men directed by Sidney Lumet was released in 1957. The reenacted movie is similar, but also has additional content not found in the original play. The settings in the movie are given greater attention to in terms of specificity. In the play, the scene begins with the jurors listening to the judge s final statements about the case in the courtroom and then the jurors are dismissed and are shown walking out into the jury room. The movie however, starts with the audience being in the spot of a casual observer. The introduction could have been used to show the reality of setting through the emphasis of how the court and courtroom were set up. The settings aren t only built upon through use of scenery in the movie. The judge and more importantly the defendant are shown in the movie as opposed to the play. This change in the movie which was not in the play catches the reader s attention because in the play, the audience has a biased view of the defendant, and the only thing known is that he is a 19 year boy who lived in the ... Due to the use of petroleum gas which the combustion of it releases a numerous amount of pollutants into the air. Automobiles contribute to the great amounts of carbon monoxide and more unhealthy pollutants in the air. One of the greatest concerns is with the emission of the green house gas carbon dioxide. In addition the large amounts of storm water that damage our streams, lakes, and rivers are due to the transportation infrastructure. Also the dark paved roads, highways, etc. cause the head island effect which is that the dark pavement attracts heat and causes the area to actually warm up and those urban areas it causes people to use air conditioning more than they would ve so the electricity consumption increases.[2] This transportation issue of the environment can be fixed through a new century of car, an environmentally friendly car, a hybrid car. Popkin, 1993, p. 182). This essay will be discussing the arguments for and against the practise of scepticism. It will be focusing on the ideas of Socrates, Descartes, Hume and Wittgenstein and it will elaborate on how their opinions on scepticism contrast, in part, due to their historical setting. It will clarify and identify scepticisms role in society and the changing role of philosophy from ancient to modern times. Socrates began a revolution in philosophy when he called philosophy down from the heavens (Popkin, 1999, p. 23). He challenged the moral complaceny of his fellow citizens in Athens. To define scepticism would go against its very principle as that definition could very well be doubted as its true form which in turn shows the primary flaw of scepticism itself to question everything is to never move forward on a basis of acceptance. Therefore scepticism should be used sparsely as questioning does help us move forward as a society. For example questioning medical practices can help to advance a field by investing in new studies. Hume s science of man principal is an example of how investing moderately in scepticism can help society. If there was an absence of sceptics in the world we would be stuck in a never ending circle. Scepticism helps to influence others with an opinion that may not always be the most popular. Wittgenstein gives examples just how far scepticism can go with his arguments against Solipsism. This is the danger of scepticism; this chosen isolation from the rest of humanity can lead to the beginning of cults and sects which can have disastrous impacts on society. An aircraft wing is made of composite with fibre angles in each ply aligned in different direction. Various air foil thickness and ply angles were considered to study the effect of bending torsion decoupling. The laminate characteristics are usually calculated using the number of layer, stacking sequence, geometric and mechanical properties. A finite number of layers can be combined to form so many laminates. The only restriction that is imposed on the laminate as an element of composite structure concerns its total thickness which is assumed to be much smaller than the other dimensions of the structure. Aircraft wing model as per the plan should be made in FEA and the model is subjected to various loading. The loading given by the self weight or due to acceleration due to gravity was discussed and the deflection over here should be calculated.
