Increasing Speed Movement Towards The Electronic Health...
Increasing speed movement towards the electronic health records has additional complexity of the
preference from among choices process, in that the number of systems on the market has raised.
However, appointing a system does not have to be a frighten task. The first and most understandable
questions that needs to be acknowledge is placed. Where do we start? Well you do not start with the
merchant. To obtain any major systems investments must being with a process. Why will you need to
set up a method? The act of founding a method or way underrate financial risk to your facility and
prepares you for the migration from paper to the electronic record. The health care manufacturing is
dedicated to goal of improved quality of health care, cost effectiveness, and patient safety.
Applications of the EHR is high on the records of first concern and is looked at the tools that will far
provide to manage this goal. In a conclusion there has been a thrust by the federal government,
professional and physician health care system and alliance, as well as the health information
technology cooperation, to boost doctors and their usual procedures to transition from paper to an
electronic medical records within the EHR form. Also in the middle those who identify the value of

Unfair Access to Information
In Hong Kong, about 40% of households do not have a computer, while 70% do not use the Internet.
Despite the rapid development and widespread use of information and communication technologies in
recent years, scholars have drawn attention to the fact that access to these innovations is by no means
even [1], and this has raised concerns about an emerging information gap in a society based on income
and education. The issue of whether equitable access to information technologies and services in the
digital age for the poor, the elderly and other disadvantaged groups is currently a controversial topic.
The purpose of this essay is to examine the hypothesis that access to information in the digital age is
unfair. I will examine two refuting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the number of families with access to the Internet has risen sharply in the past decade, a
significant proportion of households are unable to afford the fees for these services. [1] It would
indicate that students from such households at an obvious disadvantage. The students, unlike children
from middle and upper income families, do not have ready access to the specialized and up to date
information and entertainment provided by this new media. Thus, it reinforces the non digital
inequalities.
Thirdly, possibly the next most noteworthy refuting reason is that service provision made possible by
digital technologies would benefit the elderly, the poor and minority. [4] The government can provide
more tailored services for the public through database driven technology. [5] It provides the
opportunity for the public to obtain services from companies and government without visiting the
offices. It would allow government and companies to offer 24 hours services [6], for example,
individual can make the booking in advance anywhere and anytime they need by putting health
service online.
The final argument is that replacing traditional face to face services with digital ones place burdens on
the elderly and the poor. In order to access to digital services, the elderly have to give up their
traditional ways of doing things and learn to familiarize themselves at such old age with new
technologies

Most sustainable aspects of Riverwood grounds and faculty Riverwood s recycling club attempts to
make sure each classroom as a recycling bin. Some of the food in the cafeteria is sourced locally,
reducing the amount of fuel used to bring it to campus. Because this school offers both AP
Environmental Science and magnet Environmental Science, the student body has a better awareness of
how to behave in an environmentally sustainable manner. Many teachers are using less paper on
average because of online resources like Edmodo, Schoology, and Turnitin. Ways to reduce
Riverwood s environmental footprint Riverwood could become more environmentally sustainable by

One major change that could be made would be to replace paper towels in the bathroom with hand
dryers. According to Restroom Direct, a hand dryer cost $159.00, so if the administration put hand
dryers in eight of the Riverwood bathrooms, it would cost $1,272. On average, a hand dryer costs
between .02 and .18 cents in electricity whereas a paper towel costs 1.00 cent on average per sheet, so
using hand dryers would vastly reduce the amount of electricity used as well the amount of paper
wasted. Another way the Riverwood administration could help the environment would be to start a
composting program. This program could gain volunteers through a compost club and through
partnerships with other clubs and societies like Beta Club and the National Honor Society so that
students could receive service hours for helping with the compost program or donating needed
materials. According to the Green Mountain Farm to School initiative, the necessary materials for
starting a school compost program are at least five 5 gallon buckets, a scale, work gloves, 1 cart for
housing buckets, a shovel, a supply of hay or manure, cloth rags, a compost thermometer, and sifting
screen. The school could get many of these materials from donations but if they were to buy them, the
price would be approximately $175.19. According to Amazon, five 5 gallon buckets would cost
$52.35, a scale would be $15.95, a pair of work gloves would be $12.44, a cart would be $37.02, a
shovel would be $14.94, a small bale of hay would be approximately $4.38 (according to the
University of Wisconsin), a five pound bag of manure would cost $11.12, cloth rags could be donated
by parents, a compost thermometer would cost $26.99, and a sifting screen would cost

Essay Passion of the Christ
The Passion of the Christ is one of many films about the life of Jesus but this particular one is
different to the others. Released in 2004, directed by Mel Gibson and filmed in the ancient Aramaic
language, `The Passion focuses mainly on the death of Christ and shows us the full extent as to what
he suffered to save mankind.
Before seeing The Passion of the Christ I hadn t heard much about it except that it was very violent
and politically incorrect. In fact I hadn t seen or heard a review that said if it was good or bad or if it
was well acted or if it was worth the watch. Everyone just seemed to be interested in saying that it is
too violent, the movie should not have been made and Mel Gibson shouldn t be making money from a
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is definitely something in this film for everyone. Even if you can t bear to watch the violence,
which is so predominant throughout the movie, there is a lot of emotion, action and even horror that
will keep any audience gripped. In this film Gibson uses the devil in the form of a person and he
shows us how man is tempted by evil which results in jumps and frights better than most horror films
out these days.
As far as the violence is concerned, The Passion was very gruesome and disturbing to watch at some
points. Some people think it is too much to see someone getting their skin ripped off with metal claws
but I think it was a necessary part of the ordeal to which Christ was subjected and it brings home the
enormity of what happened. Other films made his crucifixion out to be a graceful and peaceful death
almost leaving out the fact that he was nearly flogged to death before even touching his cross.
This is not the type of film where you can complain about the story line or say you didn t like the
ending, but you do come with an expectation of how you would like them to portray the story. For me
I was more than satisfied with how they did it but some more religious people might not like the way
little things were changed from the Bible. In The Passion when Judas Iscariot hung himself he didn t
say he was sorry to god but we could see that he regretted doing what he did and we knew he was
sorry. Gibson also

Rise of the Islamic Empire
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then
you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does
not guide the disbelieving people. (Quran 5:67) Prophet Muhammad PBUH, was born to a branch of
Quraish family. He was born to Abdullah Ibn Abd Al Muttalib and Amna Bint Wahab in the year 570
C. He received his call which is the message from God carried by the angel Gabriel to deliver the truth
about God to his people. Prophet Muhammad PBUH, died in the year 632 C due to fever after that the

The ramifications of this to the Islamic empire is that by winning the Ridda war, the Muslim
community or Umma was still in a sense united which kept the Muslims in power of Arabia. Handing
the Muslim Umma to such a capable leader like Abu Bakr made sure that the Muslim community
united which guaranteed that the Muslims were still in control of their further territories.
After the death of Abu Bakr the Caliphate was handed seamlessly to Omar bin Al Khattab in 643 and
he ruled for ten years. His transmission to power was seamless because he was practising power
behind the scenes .Many would consider his administration of the Islamic nation as successful and
flourishing. After Muslims victory against the Byzantine in the battle of Yarmuk empire, provided
them with more land Palestine and Syria which helped Muslims with the territorial expansion. Later,
one of the richest cities in the Middle East, Alexandria have surrendered to the Muslims too. The way
Omar administered the territories of the Muslim state is in a fashion where the people of the new
conquered territories continue to live the way they used to. Moreover, these newly conquered places
would pay less money when compared to the previous administration. Not only that, but also, when it
became apparent that Muslim rule meant religious freedom as well as lower taxes, the Arab had little
difficulty in obtaining cooperation from some of the local people. Which made the newly conquered
areas satisfied with

Value of Time
The value of Time
The value of time is limitless, it cannot be measured. The value of time arises from the fact that human
life is short but he has to do a lot of works within the short span of time. Each work requires some
time. If the work is not finished in time, it may not be finished at all. That explains why time is so
valuable and it should not be lost for nothing.
Tome goes on like the tide of a river and it never waits for anybody. Lost time can never be found
again. Misuse of time is a great crime and it makes life barren like a desert. He is really great who
makes the most of every moment in useful works. Success is bound to come to his doorstep.
Man should utilize time properly. He should be prepared to spend some ... Show more content on

It moves. What was yesterday is not today. What is today will not be tomorrow. Yesterday is gone.
Today is and tomorrow is yet to come. Yet time is said to have no holiday. It exists always.
The entire creation moves on according to a time pattern. There is birth, growth and death. There is
time for everything. Plants flower and give fruits. Seasons come according to time. A child is born,
grows into boyhood, adolescence, youth, middle age and old age according to age and time. Every
movement of creation is linked with time. One cannot grow paddy in a month nor can a child become
an adult in a year. Everything is fixed to a time frame.
Time is a free force. It does not wait for any one. It is commonly said that time and tide waits for no
man. Time is money. A minute not usefully spent is an eternal loss. You can never get back the lost
minute. One has to strike the iron when it is hot. The time flies and never returns. If you waste time it
wastes you.
Time is the best medicine , says Ovid. It is said that time heals all wounds and it even heals what
reason cannot. All human beings are emotional. When negative emotions like fear, anger, envy and
jealousy overtake them, they lose reason and act in haste leading to serious consequences. They may
repent later, as emotions cool down. But the damage done is done and remains forever. Even that
damage can heal with the passage of time. People involved may forget and forgive. That is the
importance of

Ontological Argument Vs Design Argument
Of the three theistic arguments presented by the text, I find the design , or the teleological argument to
be the most persuasive because unlike the other two arguments (ontological and first cause), the
argument s premises can be supported through observations of the physical world. The ontological and
first cause argument are both more based in pure logic and reasoning, and they also can both be easily
challenged for the same reason. On the other hand, the design argument focuses less on how the
existence of God could be explained in the terms of a catalyst , and more how there is a statistically
improbable amount of order in our universe (called Maximally Orderly Huge Universe ). Put simply,
the design argument states that since there

Mary Rowlandson And Franklin s Views On Western Society...
When the colonists arrived to the new world, they were blind to the problems before them. They were
in a time filled with thematic tribulations and conquest. They came across a group of people they
never knew or seen before; they called them Savages or Natives. Various encounters with the Native
Americans were documented with both negative and positive connotation. During this period of trial
and error, time with the Natives seemed often terroristic and peaceful. In various colonial texts several
authors have documented their experiences with the Native Americans, and gave their personal
analysis of the Natives behavior, customs, and beliefs. Mary Rowlandson, for example, experienced
terror from the Natives; she gave a chilling look ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, association with the Natives was just another obstacle the colonists had to face.
Rowlandson s publication gives a time stamp on how difficult relations with the Native Americans
were from a colonial perspective. Time period was so important in Rowlandson s case because her
story this gave first insight to issues of the colonial perspective of the Natives. Before Rowlandson,
there was no actual documentation of a front row seat to the world of the Native Americans. For
example, during Rowlandson s fourth remove she witnessed the death of a pregnant mother and the
child (264). Imagine hearing this for the first time as a colonist; immediately an automatic biased
opinion occurs. In Rowlandson s case, there was more corruption and devilish behavior that clouded
the good. Whereas in Franklin s distribution of his seventeen eighty four satirical document Remarks
Concerning the Savages of North America; published eight years after America s independence. It
would be assumed that during Franklin s time the colonists would have some kind of system in order
to deal with the Natives. Instead more mischief continues and conflict between the Natives and
colonists increase. The establishment of a biased opinion still sits in the hearts of the colonists,
however on Franklin s account there is a change. For instance, Franklin describes the culture of the
Natives as honorable, something totally different as

Holden Rejection
Text C is based on a protagonist named Holden Caulfield, the theme of rejection is included in this
extract as Holden is constantly rejecting and discarding Ackley, a fellow student at Pencey. At times
Holden also rejects himself as well as society because he fails to fit in with everyone around him. Text
H also incorporates rejection into the extract, as Protagonist Huck Finn rejects religion, society and
conformity. Both novels are bildungsroman s, the two protagonists both go on a journey of self
discovery, facing many challenges along the way, helping them to mature and gain an understanding
of the adult world. In text C the audience is given a glimpse of how Holden feels about himself as he
says, I felt so lonesome, all of a sudden. I almost wished I was dead . By Holden saying this, his
loneliness and self doubt is emphasised through the adverb almost as it shows that his morale is
declining. Holden s alienation is quite frantic as he worries and panics over unimportant events such
as Stradlater meeting up with a girl. The author Salinger makes Holden appear to be quite extreme and
over reactive, frequently using hyperboles such as that killed me when it clearly didn t. At ... Show

Transportation In The 1800 s
Throughout the 1800 s, methods of transportation were limited; people either used horses or rode on
the train. Most people lived in town near their work. With the introduction of the automobile, society
evolved and soon transformed to fit the need of people s transportation. Many of those needs caused
by automobile invention included society, economy and finally, politics. The changes resulting from
the invention of the automobile caused social differences among people. Because of the new ability to
travel far away, people had more opportunities to experience life outside of their home town. Other
effects caused by automobile invention included meeting new people and learning new ideas from
other areas. The invention of the automobile also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

supply of cars, which brought the prices down, gave more people the ability to own a car. Because
more people had a chance to own a car, people didn t have to live in the city. They could live farther

it was important to build more highways and roads. This caused an increase in taxes, as local
governments constructed them and met the needs of the population. Other efficiency needs like

Essay about Hp Kittyhawk Case Analysis
Analysis of Hewlett Packard: The Flight of the Kittyhawk.

1. Background: The Kittyhawk Project.
Hewlett Packard (HP) decided to produce 1.3 inch disk drives to become the market leader in a new
market and increase HP s revenue. Although the market for 1.3 inch disk drives was still unclear and
still developing, HP decided to organize a special team to develop this new product. This group was
multi talented, with the best engineers from every department in the company. The group also had
many priorities for the company. However, things didn t develop as the Kittyhawk team expected.
They failed to sell the new product to the customer they planned. Even though some new customers

This caused two problems. First, the Kittyhawk designers were engineers by training, not market
researchers. The people held to be experts didn t hold the necessary expertise. Second, there is a
conflict of interest when consulting with the designers instead of the customers. The entire point of
hiring a market research firm is to find an unbiased third party to provide a different perspective.
Using the designers as market research defeats that purpose.
Ignoring Established Customer Needs
When Seymour and White visited the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to talk with potential
customers, they pointedly passed on an opportunity to provide value to an established market.
Nintendo representatives at CES stated that a small, cheap hard drive costing $50 would have a
potential market in the millions. After additional deliberation, the Kittyhawk team decided to pass on
this opportunity in search of more lucrative markets. This mistake is somewhat understandable,
because the $50 target cost was deemed too high of a technological challenge.
Investing in Uncertain Customers
The last complication leading to the Kittyhawk projects demise came from the customers themselves.
After the launch of the first Kittyhawk hard drive, many new unexpected customers stepped forward
to show interest. This situation became the proverbial carrot on a stick for the Kittyhawk team.
However, none of these customers provided sure sources of revenue by entering into

Innocence In Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye
In Toni Morrison s, The Bluest Eye Pecola Breedlove s life is told through the perspectives of her
peers and acquaintances which portray her as a poor, unfortunate, and ugly black child. She goes
about her life being beaten down at every opportunity, almost literally, and her singular wish for blue

like a doormat, to be stepped on, soiled and lost in the demented world that criticizes and dehumanizes

herself. Not only does this reveal that she s been abandoned by even characters who caused her harm,
but also that her imaginary friend isn t formed from a child s imagination but is an escape from the
darkness that she s witnessed. Finally having access to the inner working s of Pecola s mind it s clear
that her way of thinking has been altered, for example she thinks that all the stares she s been getting

Blood Doping In Sports
Blood doping in sports has been a controversial topic for some time now. Debating on whether it
should be legal have been plaguing experts for years. Some see doping as a major advantage to
athletes. Others see it as just another source of training. Even with all the controversy you can not help
but agree with the majority of experts; blood doping should stay illegal in sports. Blood doping is the
injection of oxygenated blood into an athlete before an event in an attempt to enhance athletic
performance. From most people s outlooks doping is natural. Blood doping is technically the same as
sleeping at high altitudes, or in oxygen tents. They all cause the proportion of oxygen carrying red

Disadvantages Of Deficit Spending
Deficit spending is when there is an excess of government expenditures over the government revenue,
creating a shortfall that must be financed through borrowing (Deficit Spending, 2014). To put this in
other terms deficit spending is when the government needs to borrow money in order to pay for
different government programs and other items of value. In the past deficit spending has been used
when a country was facing a war or they needed to finance a building project. Deficit spending is also
used to help pull a country out of a recession. The actions taken by the government during the late
1930s and early 1940s are a prime example of deficit spending. The United States were in the middle
of the great depression and consumer spending had fallen drastically due to the number of people that
found themselves unemployed and without money. In order to combat this drastic decrease in
spending the government took on a number of projects that were meant to increase the overall
spending. In order to spend more the government would have to borrow money. Once the country was
out of the depression, and consumer spending began to grow, the idea was that the government would
be able to pay back the money that they had borrowed. In order to determine if deficit spending is
worth the cost a country needs to look at the advantages and disadvantages.
One of the major advantages of deficit spending is the amount of revenue and jobs that are created in a
time when the overall consumer

The Grand Canyon By Henry Morris
There is a famous saying that goes something like: if you take God out of the picture, there will be no
answer. However, many people take God or gods out of the many aspects of their lives. Now, if God is
mentioned in a debate or topic, it creates controversies and is specifically targeted by critics. Topics or
questions such as evolution or the origins of the universe have long been debated, studied, and
researched. Starting in the 19th century, evolution has been a long debated popular topic among many
people. A major 20th Century alternative belief to evolution is scientific creationism. This became
prevalent through the leading institute for promoting, forming, and researching the doctrine of

It is the belief that the world is around ten thousand years old. The idea or belief is far from the
findings of science which calculate the age of the earth to be around five billion years old. The data
considered solid by scientists such as the astronomical measurements on stars, dating of rocks, and the
reconstructions of the history of life on the planet are based on the calculation that the earth is five
billion years old. Almost all of the things that science has researched and discovered are based on the
calculation that the earth is around five billion years old, but scientific creationism argues against all
of the proof and claims that the earth is young.
The age of the earth, in the eyes of scientific creationism, is calculated first by creating a genealogical
table. Starting with Adam, the man considered to be the first human, the genealogy should be studied
until the birth of Christ. This will give you the approximate age of the earth. However, there is another
controversial topic: the length of the day. Scientific creationism believes that the length of the day in
Genesis chapter one is a literal 24 hour day, however there are other theories that the day might be
longer and may not even be confined within the human realm.
The belief that the world is roughly ten thousand years old became widespread mostly because of the

Human Attraction
A person might think that love is just a feeling for someone else they find attractive, and that it is just
that, a feeling. However, there is a scientific reason why that person is attracted to one person, and not
another. There are many contributing factors to how we are attracted to each other, three of which are
pheromones, major histocompatibility complex(MHC) and genetics. One of the major elements of
human attraction is pheromones. Pheromones are biochemical molecules that can take many different
forms, such as skunk spray, or pheromones in bees that direct them to flowers, or even sex
pheromones. According to Psychology Today, The evaluative sniffing that mammals engage in during
courtship were clues that scent is the chemical equivalent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What many people do not know, is that our genes help us to find a partner. A team lead by Chris
Wedekind at the University of Bern in Switzerland conducted a study to find if MHC variations affect
how women, and how they evaluate the aroma. Chris and his team found something interesting; they
found that women preferred the scent of men with a much different MHC profile, and the women
thought that MHC similar men smelled like their father or brother. Another finding of the team was
that the intensity of the smell is also a factor, with some men with stronger scents being rated lower,
possibly because it is a common signal of disease. It was also noted that men with unusually sweet
smells were often rated low, because it is a common sign of schizophrenia. Overall, our genes are very
important for choosing the right mate the first time and making sure that that person is the right one.
All in all, pheromones, MHC, and genes all play important parts in finding our true love. They are
also important for the survival and health of us and our offspring. However we look at it, love is a
potent force that can be more powerful than the drive to stay alive. Some people will do virtually

The Importance Of Teaching For The Success Of The Team And...
Coaching has become more than just instructions, the expectations of creating leaders is now just as
important as performance. The education that goes into shaping coaches today takes creativity and
new technology to stay current with the ever changing landscape of sports.
The importance of educating coaches is vital to the success of the team and the athletes involved.
Having a strong foundation to build the team on starts with a coach who has taken the time to learn
about all the resources available to have more tools to teach. Everyone has a role to play in achieving
a successful team. Establishing an information flow that starts at the top, and reaches the bottom will
be the key in providing an educational environment. This information flow only works if the
information flows back up. It takes a certain type of person to inspire and motivate a group of
professionals. One needs to learn how to follow to become a great leader. Translating information to
function is a talent not everyone can do, that is why there are just a handful of hall of fame coaches.
There are several methods that will improve the education in coaching. There are three topics that will
give the best opportunity to have a greater impact on the improvement for not just the coach, but the
athletes who play a game they love. The first crucial aspect in improving coaching is knowing what
the future has in store for changes within society, identities of coaches along with athletes, and the

Virginity in 17th and 18th Century Poetry Essay examples
Virginity in 17th and 18th Century Poetry
Benjamin Franklin once said that there were only two inevitable things in life: death and taxes. He got
it half right. They did, in fact, die with pretty regular certainty. However, what was inevitable was sex.
Without it, there wouldn t be any new people to die and poor Ben Franklin would have been
completely wrong. The only hindrance to this certainty was (and remains) virgins. The realm of the
chaste has been explored in poetry throughout time, but never was the subject as thoroughly probed as
in the 17th and 18th century. To judge by the poets of the time, one would conclude that next to dying

happy as it s innocent. In addition to innocence, Phillips points out that there are no grouchy husbands,
no screaming children and nothing else to distract you from your service to God. In fact, wistful
women wishing they d kept their virginity and wedding vows to themselves wrote many poems in this
era. It is a telling social commentary that so many married women would wish themselves back to live
a life of chaste penitence than to enter into so called wedded bliss.
The most common theme in virginity poems is that of men trying to get women to change their minds
and go to bed with them. Many poets tried to use persuasion on their objects of desire. In Robert
Herrick s To the Virgins to Make Much of Time, the well known first line Gather ye rosebuds while ye
may appears. This poem is an appeal to virtuous women to use it while they ve got it, per se. In the
proud tradition of soldiers who will be sent off tomorrow who just know they aren t coming back and
hedonists everywhere, Herrick emphasizes that time is short and virgins are wasting their youths

How Did Paul Revere s Ride By Henry Longfellow Differ
In contrast, the two documents Paul Revere s Ride, by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and the letter
from Paul Revere to DR. Jeremy Belknap are different because in the letter written by Paul Revere he
was encountered by British soldiers and people warned him of the British soldiers ahead of him and it
gives detail about where Paul warned people from one place to the other unlike the other article
written by Henry. The first reason the the two documents are different is because Paul Revere he was
encountered by British soldiers in the letter but in the poem there is not writing saying that he
encountered british. A quote to support this is I saw two men on horseback under a tree. When I got
near them, I discovered they were British Officers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That supports my reasoning. Another reason the poem and letter written about Paul Revere are similar
is because in the letter he is warned of British soldiers ahead of him by other people while there is no
evidence of this in the poem. A quote to support me is from the letter written by Paul Revere it states
While the horse was preparing, Richard Devens, Esq., who was one of the Committee of Safety, came
to me and told me that he came down the road from Lexington after sundown that evening; that he met
ten British Officers, all well mounted, and armed, going up the road. This quote is important because
in the quote someone is warning him of ten enemy soldiers ahead. There is no evidence in the reading
written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow this proves that the two documents because one reading has
something the other doesn t. Lastly, the two reading are different because in the letter it gives details
about where Paul warned people from one place to the other unlike the other article. A quote to
support this is from the letter it states In Medford, I awaked the Captain of the minutemen; and after
that, I told almost every house, till I got to Lexington [10]. This quote is important because it say how
far he went to warn people and how and a person he did

am going to talk about rules. The definition of a rule is an explicit, officially stated guideline that
governs group functions and member behavior. There are many examples of rules in the movie, but I
am going to talk about one particular incident. In beginning of movie when the students first arrive for
detention, Principal Vernon sets down the rules, what he expects them to do, and to behave under his
supervision. He does this to show that he is the one in charge and they must follow his rules or face
further Saturdays of detention. Now, I will show you this clip. Now I am going to talk about norms. A
norm is shared values, beliefs, behaviors, and procedures that govern a group s operation. I am going
to be talking about a social norm in particular. In the movie, five completely different people are stuck
in detention together. Social norms say that if they become friends over this one Saturday, they won t
stay friends once they leave dentition and will go on with their lives like nothing happened between
them. This is because their regular school friends would make fun of them because they are in
completely different social classes. Now I will show you this

Basic Principle in verbal and non verbal Communication
One of the most important skills of a leader in a company is that he or she knows how to communicate

Big Moments
In life there will be good and bad moments, but those moments are what shapes us. Not only does it
shape up, but when we grow old you feel like your life has been good. When you are young you can
steer away from conversation. No one is permanent on this earth, so make as many memories as
possible. Memories don t necessarily have to relate to big moments. They can be small moments.
I will never forget the time, over spring break of 2017 my family and i had gone to the wineries. I was
so focused on my phone, but something told me to just look up and i did. In that moment of looking
around i realized i had so many generations at one table. The interactions between the different
generations. The love that was being spread, it made me wonder how much i have been missing out
on. Once you get the luxury of a phone and social media, you can become addicted to it. They may

Middle Passage Dbq
1st Paragraph In discussions of the Atlantic Slave Trade, the term Middle Passage often arises. The
Middle Passage was the stage of the triangular trade in which millions of Africans were shipped to the
New World as part of the Atlantic Slave trade. The journey was one of the most horrific aspects of the
morally deplorable system of slavery. Death was a constant threat as diseases, starvation, asphyxiation
and severe depression rampantly claimed the lives of African and the ship s crew. Throughout this
essay you will understand the tragic journey of the slaves and what hardships they had to go through.
2nd paragraph According to Document C, another reliable source, is an excerpt from the Slave Ship
Doctor. Alexander Falconbridge, who served as a doctor on the slave ships claims that, Their food is
served up to them in tubs, about the size of a small water bucket. They are placed around these tubs in
companies of ten... If negroes refused to take sustenance, I have seen coals of fire, glowing hot, put on
shovel, and placed so near their lips, as to scorch and burn them. This shows that when Falconbridge
was treating the slaves he figured out the reasons as to what caused their injuries. In the Slave Ship

Psueudo conflicts, are conflicts that are not real, but they are only perceived as real conflicts. Pseudo

3. Ego conflicts: Ego conflicts occur when a dispute settles on status or power. The initial arguments
may be over some factual question that can be easily answered. However, the ego conflict results
when you argue who has the right facts. The question of which Republican had the most votes during
the presidential election becomes who knows more about politics. 4. Value conflicts: Value conflicts
focus on personal beliefs that you hold near and dear. Value conflicts usually surface in personal
relationships. For example, my boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months. We have discussed
marriage with children. I am Catholic and he is a non denominational Christian. When we discuss
marriage, he constantly reminds me that he doesn t believe in Catholicism. I am a practicing Catholic,
he is not a practicing Christian. We have both decided that eventually we will come to a compromise
where both of our religious needs will be met. 5. Need conflicts: Need conflicts usually occur when
the needs of one individual are at odds with the needs of another. For example, when you begin
cooking Thanksgiving dinner for your family and friends, and you begin a brand new recipe that
requires your undivided attention so that your measurements are precise; your cellular phone rings and
your 6 month old wakes up from his nap. Need conflicts are easily resolved by redefining or

The banking industry in Nigeria has witnessed tremendous changes linked with the developments in
ICT over the years. The quest for survival, global relevance, maintenance of existing market share and
sustainable development has made exploitation of the many advantages of ICT through the use of
automated devices imperative in the industry. This study evaluates the response of Nigerian banks to
this new trend and examines the extent to which they have adopted innovative technologies in their
operations and the resultant effects. Information and Communication Technology Information

The Glorious Revolution Essay
The Glorious Revolution Some say the glorious revolution was one of the greatest landmarks in the
history of England. The glorious revolution is a very important event in history for multiple reasons. It
wasn t exactly a peaceful occasion but it was one in which no war of fight occurred. This was a
pleasant change for England at the time because they had been experiencing plenty of fights over the
throne and for once it was a relatively smooth transaction. After Charles the second died his brother,
James the second gained the throne in 1685. His main objective was to re establish the Roman
Catholic religion in England. The people of England were mostly of a Protestant religion and they did
not want to change their ways. Oddly enough ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He practiced absolute monarchy and the people of England strongly disliked him. As things continued
to heated up between parliament and Mary s father James II, she married the Dutch Protestant prince,
William of Orange. William desperately feared an alliance between James II and the Catholic French
King. William and Mary were prepared to lead armed forces into England and take over the throne.
When James II second wife gave birth to a son who would be raised Catholic and be the heir to the
throne, Parliament got worried. Seven members of parliament signed a letter asking Mary and William
to bring an army and drive out James II. William arrived at Torbay, on November 5th 1688 ready to
fight for the throne. He was a brave man, for James II s army was double the size of William s army.
Although it didn t matter because James II s army was deserting to the other side, James II army had
abandoned him. When William of Orange was welcomed into London, James II fled to France in
disguise. Parliament claimed that by abandoning his country, the king had abdicated and the throne
was now left vacant. On February 6th 1689 Mary and William became King and Queen of England.
Perhaps the most revolutionary part of the Glorious Revolution was that the throne had been taken
over without a shot fired. But what this truly meant was the ending of absolute monarchy in England.
Now rulers had to abide by the laws of their country as well as its people.

Mail Fraud Cases
The federal mail and wire fraud statutes ban plans or schemes to defraud that includes the utilization
of mail or wire communications. Both condemn deceitful conduct that may likewise come surprisingly
close to other federal criminal statutes. Both may serve as money laundering offenses. Both are
deserving of imprisonment for not more than 20 years; for not more than 30 years, if the victim is a
financial institution or the offense is committed in times of crisis. Victims in both of these situations
are entitled to restitution. Both may bring about the relinquishment of property. The mail fraud statue
was introduced in the early nineteenth century and the wire fraud statute is a little more recent as it
was enacted in 1952.

During this time, the United States Supreme Court expanded and contracted the reach of the mail
fraud statute, finally merging the various components in Schmuck v. United States, 489 U.S. 705
(1989). From its origins in 1872 to approximately the middle of the twentieth century, the mail fraud
statute s reach was considerable. It was only necessary that the scheme to defraud should be devised
or intended to be devised and a letter placed in the post office for the purpose of executing the scheme
or attempting to do so. The breadth of the statute was extended two years later when the United States
Supreme Court held, to satisfy the mailing requirement, it is sufficient for the mailing to be incident to
an essential part of the scheme or a step in the plot. This broad standard remained until Kann v. United
States, 322 U.S. 88 (1944). In Kann v. United States, the defendants were corporate officers and
directors who were accused of creating a dummy corporation in order to divert profits into their own
pockets. As part of this fraudulent scheme, the defendants allowed the corporation to issue checks
payable to the both of them. The defendants cashed the checks at local banks, which then mailed the
checks to the drawee banks for collection. The court held that the mailing of the cashed checks to the
drawee banks could not supply the mailing element of the mail fraud charges. The defendant s
fraudulent scheme had reached fruition. It was immaterial to them, or to any consummation of the
scheme, how the bank which paid or credited the check would collect from the drawee bank. The
federal mail fraud statute does not purport to reach all frauds, but only those limited instances in
which the use of the mails is a part of the execution of the fraud, leaving all other cases to be dealt
with by appropriate state law (Kann, 323

The Great Chicago Fire of 1871
The Great Chicago Fire was a major milestone in the city s history. The fire started on October 8th,
1871 and did not end until October 10th, 1871. People never saw this fire coming which might have
made it even worse. The only reason it spread so far was because everything was made out of wood,
the ground was parched and the wind was blowing that night; the reason it stopped was because it had
started raining. Although the fire destroyed most of the city, it was a positive turning point in history.
The Chicago Fire improved firefighting and their equipment, new buildings that were made out of
fireproof materials, and it brought big investors to the city. There were more than 334,000 people in
Chicago at the time (Burgan). Ninety percent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the city s business district, but it left the stockyards and packing plants untouched. The Hog Butcher of
the World processed more meat than anywhere else on Earth. The railroads were also undamaged.
That allowed shipments of aid to come in from around the world. Book donations from England were
part of Chicago s first free library. In 1956, there was a Fire Academy built on the site where Mr. and
Mrs. O Leary s barn once stood. The Academy trains new firefighters to this day (Schons).
The rebuilding of Chicago started immediately, sometimes even before the architect and engineers had
completed their designs. There were laws that were passed requiring new buildings with fireproof
materials like brick, stone, marble and limestone because of the fire. These materials that are way
more expensive than wood were held together by a strong, sticky substance called mortar. The
construction technique using that substance is called masonry and the skilled groups of construction
workers are called masons. Many Chicagoans could not afford the fireproof materials, the skilled
masons or the insurance to rebuild. Without rebuilding or insuring their property, thousands of people
were crowded out of Chicago. Many businesses ignored the new building laws.
There were two events that stopped the reconstruction of Chicago. The first event

centers.1 There were four groups in this trial with a 1:1:1:1 distribution.1 These groups consisted of 4
mg/kg TCZ+MTX, 8 mg/kg TCZ+MTX, 8 mg/kg TCZ+placebo and 7.5 mg/week placebo+MTX, the
latter group was increased to 20 mg/week if the physician or patient felt it necessary.1 The American
College of Rheumatology scoring system, a Disease Activity score, and X rays were used to determine
progress to remission in the patients.1
They found that the 8 mg/kg dose of TCZ in combination with methotrexate and 8 mg/kg TCZ
conjugated with the placebo worked better for achieving patient remission than the methotrexate alone
(with placebo).1 It was also observed that the 8 mg/kg dosage of TCZ improved RA symptoms such
as the function and degradation of joints, indicating that its an overall better treatment option.1
However, there was a higher rate of withdrawal from the program from the patients taking the
combination of toceilizumab and methotrexate due to liver enzyme elevations or infection.1 They
observed that the 4 mg/kg group displayed a higher incidence of infection, heart attacks, cancer and
death than any of the

My Rotation For Obstetrics
My rotation for obstetrics was in Brighton, CO at Platte Valley Medical Center. I was fortunate
enough to experience multiple avenues of this field including labor and delivery and postpartum, but
ultimately enjoyed spending most of my time in there Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). While
providing care to one specific child I was encouraged by my instructor to help provide instruction to
the parents in several different areas, but as I worked with mom and dad to help take care of the baby I
noticed some deficients in the knowledge of care for their child. The most being about bonding with
their child since the child was to remain in an isolette. The child was born at 33 weeks and 6 days due
to mom having HELLP syndrome and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ultimately, I noticed that the parents were having a hard time by not being able to hold their baby and
bond. NICU care can interfere with the process of bonding between the family and by not allowing
them to touch or hold there baby creates a rift in the interaction process (Tessier et al., 2009). As time
progressed while I was at clinical the baby was becoming more self sufficient and the suggestion of
kangaroo care came about when mom was trying to breastfeed as well as when they had to supplement
with bottle feedings. When the subject of kangaroo care was brought up neither mom nor dad had
heard of it before. During my time with the family I felt that they were at risk for impaired parenting
related to prolong separation from the parent as evidence by long amounts of time with no physical
contact with the baby. It was clear that both mom and dad were emotionally stressed by not being able
to provide basic needs for their newborn, and physical contact was restricted to small amounts of
touching through the isolette. It was also clear that mom and dad had still not developed any comfort
with independently holding or feeding the baby. I observed that they wanted to become more
comfortable and have more physical interaction with their child. Overall they wanted to become more
integrated into the physical care of their child.

My Love With Reading Analysis
The first time I ever fell in love with reading was when I was 10 years old. I feel like that maybe a
little late in the game, but my parents never really read to my sister and me while we were growing up.
I never truly had that, wow moment with a book just yet. My father was in the Army and was
deployed a lot and my mom worked or tried to stay busy so she would not miss him. Reading wasn t
on the top of their to do list and at the time, it wasn t on the top of mine. We were busy exploring new
cultures and new places that other people could only dream of. I had been to France, Italy, Czech, and
many other European countries before I was old enough to retain where I was and what I was
experiencing. Oh, but that faithful day in my 5th grade class when reading evaluations came through, I
had scored an 8th grade reading level. I was so excited when I showed my parents the evaluation, not
because I loved to read and was having one of those, look what reading has given me moments. I just
felt smart. We went to the library the next day in school to find books that were in our reading levels. I
was a little intimidated at first, the books for 8th graders were superior to what I was used to reading. I
was going to Soldier on as my father said and check out one of those huge and almost frightening
looking books. I mean just because I could read at an 8th grade level didn t mean I had to, right? Yes, I
had to, I had to see what was out there for me in the terms of literature. I

The Luke Bryan
The contribution to music demonstrated by the career of Luke Bryan proves beyond a doubt that the
country music singer should be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. His worthiness of this
award is shown in his, charity work, the awards he has won and all the achievements he has made, and
everyone who has inspired him to become a country music singer in the first place. Bryan would not
be where he is today with the support of his wife and 2 kids. Bryan s parents are peanut farmers and
he used to help them when he was in high school. His brother died in a car accident 2 years ago and
Bryan and his sister went through a tuff time when that happened. Luke Bryan was born July 17, 1976
in Leesburg, Georgia. Bryan got his first guitar at the age of fourteen and by the age of fifteen he was
able to entertain a small crowd. It was all uphill from there. ( Luke Bryan Biography. )
The most important reason Luke Bryan should be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame is
because of his charity work. He has put together millions of concerts and tours for people with special
needs. Bryan has donated a great deal of money to children s hospitals to help buy more supplies and
medicine for the patients (Finan). He played in one of Deirk Bently s concerts and earned money for
children s special needs camp: (Kaylor 1 1). He loves doing charity concerts and performing at
children s hospitals to raise money for them.

Lack Of Marginal Utility Theory
Suppliers might have to do a market research in order to forecast the consumer behaviour. To do this
efficiently, firms might use marginal utility theory, namely principle of diminishing marginal utility
together with indifference analysis.
Utility is the satisfaction that people earn from the consumption of a certain quantity of a product
(Mankiw and Taylor, 2014). Marginal utility is the additional satisfaction that customer gains from
consuming one extra unit within a given period of time. However, the more of a product a person
consumes, the less additional utility they are able to gain from that extra unit. Understanding this
situation, economists come up with indifference analysis. Indifference analysis shows how consumer
chooses the combination between two goods but still obtains the same satisfaction and indifference
curve is the graph which illustrates that combination. It means, at any points on indifference curve, the
consumer is indifferent about how to combine the two goods. Diagrammatically, if a person chooses 6
units of good Y with 2 units of good X, his utility will not be different from choosing 4 units of Y with
3 units of X, as long as those points are still on the curve.
Most indifference curves have a convex shape and the reason is this. The lower units of good Y, the
bigger quantity of good X in order to satisfy the loss of good Y. Nevertheless, the amount of giving up
one of these two good cannot be the same. In other words, if the one of the

Treatments For Tinnitus
There is no cure for tinnitus, but there are some things that can be done to manage it. If your tinnitus is
caused by the buildup of earwax, then removing the earwax can help alleviate the sudden ringing in
ear. Earwax can be removed by flushing the ear out with warm water. It can also be removed with a
device called a curette.
There are also some medications that can be used to reduce the tinnitus symptoms. Valium, which is
an anti anxiety medication, can be used to treat tinnitus. Alprazolam, which is another medication, can
also reduce tinnitus symptoms.
White noise machines can also be beneficial for people who suffer from tinnitus. These machines
create environmental sounds, such as ocean waves and falling rain. Additionally, if a person suffers

American Dream Thesis
The American Dream is something that everyone wants to experience, yet not everyone gets the
opportunity to experience the fairytale of the American Dream. Immigrants traveled from all over to
come to America to experience the glam and glory that America had to offer. To be an American it
typically means to be white, rich, to own land/property, and most of all be native to this country. The
American Dream originally meant people coming to America and working hard for the lives that they
thought they deserved. This dream meant people coming together in harmony and there being no

Despite the rapid development and widespread use of information and communication technologies in recent years, scholars have drawn attention to the fact that access to these innovations is by no means even [1], and this has raised concerns about an emerging information gap in a society based on income and education. The issue of whether equitable access to information technologies and services in the digital age for the poor, the elderly and other disadvantaged groups is currently a controversial topic. The purpose of this essay is to examine the hypothesis that access to information in the digital age is unfair. I will examine two refuting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the number of families with access to the Internet has risen sharply in the past decade, a significant proportion of households are unable to afford the fees for these services. [1] It would indicate that students from such households at an obvious disadvantage. The students, unlike children from middle and upper income families, do not have ready access to the specialized and up to date information and entertainment provided by this new media. Thus, it reinforces the non digital inequalities. Thirdly, possibly the next most noteworthy refuting reason is that service provision made possible by digital technologies would benefit the elderly, the poor and minority. [4] The government can provide more tailored services for the public through database driven technology. [5] It provides the opportunity for the public to obtain services from companies and government without visiting the offices. It would allow government and companies to offer 24 hours services [6], for example, individual can make the booking in advance anywhere and anytime they need by putting health service online. The final argument is that replacing traditional face to face services with digital ones place burdens on the elderly and the poor. In order to access to digital services, the elderly have to give up their traditional ways of doing things and learn to familiarize themselves at such old age with new technologies ... Some of the food in the cafeteria is sourced locally, reducing the amount of fuel used to bring it to campus. Because this school offers both AP Environmental Science and magnet Environmental Science, the student body has a better awareness of how to behave in an environmentally sustainable manner. Many teachers are using less paper on average because of online resources like Edmodo, Schoology, and Turnitin. Ways to reduce Riverwood s environmental footprint Riverwood could become more environmentally sustainable by requiring freshmen to take either AP Environmental Science or Magnet Environmental Science, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One major change that could be made would be to replace paper towels in the bathroom with hand dryers. According to Restroom Direct, a hand dryer cost $159.00, so if the administration put hand dryers in eight of the Riverwood bathrooms, it would cost $1,272. On average, a hand dryer costs between .02 and .18 cents in electricity whereas a paper towel costs 1.00 cent on average per sheet, so using hand dryers would vastly reduce the amount of electricity used as well the amount of paper wasted. Another way the Riverwood administration could help the environment would be to start a composting program. This program could gain volunteers through a compost club and through partnerships with other clubs and societies like Beta Club and the National Honor Society so that students could receive service hours for helping with the compost program or donating needed materials. According to the Green Mountain Farm to School initiative, the necessary materials for starting a school compost program are at least five 5 gallon buckets, a scale, work gloves, 1 cart for housing buckets, a shovel, a supply of hay or manure, cloth rags, a compost thermometer, and sifting screen. The school could get many of these materials from donations but if they were to buy them, the price would be approximately $175.19. According to Amazon, five 5 gallon buckets would cost $52.35, a scale would be $15.95, a pair of work gloves would be $12.44, a cart would be $37.02, a shovel would be $14.94, a small bale of hay would be approximately $4.38 (according to the University of Wisconsin), a five pound bag of manure would cost $11.12, cloth rags could be donated by parents, a compost thermometer would cost $26.99, and a sifting screen would cost ... • 5. Essay Passion of the Christ The Passion of the Christ is one of many films about the life of Jesus but this particular one is different to the others. Released in 2004, directed by Mel Gibson and filmed in the ancient Aramaic language, `The Passion focuses mainly on the death of Christ and shows us the full extent as to what he suffered to save mankind. Before seeing The Passion of the Christ I hadn t heard much about it except that it was very violent and politically incorrect. In fact I hadn t seen or heard a review that said if it was good or bad or if it was well acted or if it was worth the watch. Everyone just seemed to be interested in saying that it is too violent, the movie should not have been made and Mel Gibson shouldn t be making money from a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is definitely something in this film for everyone. Even if you can t bear to watch the violence, which is so predominant throughout the movie, there is a lot of emotion, action and even horror that will keep any audience gripped. In this film Gibson uses the devil in the form of a person and he shows us how man is tempted by evil which results in jumps and frights better than most horror films out these days. As far as the violence is concerned, The Passion was very gruesome and disturbing to watch at some points. Some people think it is too much to see someone getting their skin ripped off with metal claws but I think it was a necessary part of the ordeal to which Christ was subjected and it brings home the enormity of what happened. Other films made his crucifixion out to be a graceful and peaceful death almost leaving out the fact that he was nearly flogged to death before even touching his cross. This is not the type of film where you can complain about the story line or say you didn t like the ending, but you do come with an expectation of how you would like them to portray the story. For me I was more than satisfied with how they did it but some more religious people might not like the way little things were changed from the Bible. In The Passion when Judas Iscariot hung himself he didn t say he was sorry to god but we could see that he regretted doing what he did and we knew he was sorry. Gibson also ... The ramifications of this to the Islamic empire is that by winning the Ridda war, the Muslim community or Umma was still in a sense united which kept the Muslims in power of Arabia. Handing the Muslim Umma to such a capable leader like Abu Bakr made sure that the Muslim community united which guaranteed that the Muslims were still in control of their further territories. After the death of Abu Bakr the Caliphate was handed seamlessly to Omar bin Al Khattab in 643 and he ruled for ten years. His transmission to power was seamless because he was practising power behind the scenes .Many would consider his administration of the Islamic nation as successful and flourishing. After Muslims victory against the Byzantine in the battle of Yarmuk empire, provided them with more land Palestine and Syria which helped Muslims with the territorial expansion. Later, one of the richest cities in the Middle East, Alexandria have surrendered to the Muslims too. The way Omar administered the territories of the Muslim state is in a fashion where the people of the new conquered territories continue to live the way they used to. Moreover, these newly conquered places would pay less money when compared to the previous administration. The value of time arises from the fact that human life is short but he has to do a lot of works within the short span of time. Each work requires some time. Ontological Argument Vs Design Argument Of the three theistic arguments presented by the text, I find the design , or the teleological argument to be the most persuasive because unlike the other two arguments (ontological and first cause), the argument s premises can be supported through observations of the physical world. The ontological and first cause argument are both more based in pure logic and reasoning, and they also can both be easily challenged for the same reason. On the other hand, the design argument focuses less on how the existence of God could be explained in the terms of a catalyst , and more how there is a statistically improbable amount of order in our universe (called Maximally Orderly Huge Universe ). They were in a time filled with thematic tribulations and conquest. They came across a group of people they never knew or seen before; they called them Savages or Natives. Various encounters with the Native Americans were documented with both negative and positive connotation. During this period of trial and error, time with the Natives seemed often terroristic and peaceful. In various colonial texts several authors have documented their experiences with the Native Americans, and gave their personal analysis of the Natives behavior, customs, and beliefs. In addition, association with the Natives was just another obstacle the colonists had to face. Rowlandson s publication gives a time stamp on how difficult relations with the Native Americans were from a colonial perspective. Time period was so important in Rowlandson s case because her story this gave first insight to issues of the colonial perspective of the Natives. Before Rowlandson, there was no actual documentation of a front row seat to the world of the Native Americans. For example, during Rowlandson s fourth remove she witnessed the death of a pregnant mother and the child (264). Imagine hearing this for the first time as a colonist; immediately an automatic biased opinion occurs. In Rowlandson s case, there was more corruption and devilish behavior that clouded the good. Whereas in Franklin s distribution of his seventeen eighty four satirical document Remarks Concerning the Savages of North America; published eight years after America s independence. It would be assumed that during Franklin s time the colonists would have some kind of system in order to deal with the Natives. Holden Rejection Text C is based on a protagonist named Holden Caulfield, the theme of rejection is included in this extract as Holden is constantly rejecting and discarding Ackley, a fellow student at Pencey. At times Holden also rejects himself as well as society because he fails to fit in with everyone around him. Text H also incorporates rejection into the extract, as Protagonist Huck Finn rejects religion, society and conformity. Both novels are bildungsroman s, the two protagonists both go on a journey of self discovery, facing many challenges along the way, helping them to mature and gain an understanding of the adult world. In text C the audience is given a glimpse of how Holden feels about himself as he says, I felt so lonesome, all of a sudden. I almost wished I was dead . By Holden saying this, his loneliness and self doubt is emphasised through the adverb almost as it shows that his morale is declining. Hewlett Packard (HP) decided to produce 1.3 inch disk drives to become the market leader in a new market and increase HP s revenue. Although the market for 1.3 inch disk drives was still unclear and still developing, HP decided to organize a special team to develop this new product. This group was multi talented, with the best engineers from every department in the company. The group also had many priorities for the company. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This caused two problems. First, the Kittyhawk designers were engineers by training, not market researchers. The people held to be experts didn t hold the necessary expertise. Second, there is a conflict of interest when consulting with the designers instead of the customers. The entire point of hiring a market research firm is to find an unbiased third party to provide a different perspective. Using the designers as market research defeats that purpose. Ignoring Established Customer Needs When Seymour and White visited the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to talk with potential customers, they pointedly passed on an opportunity to provide value to an established market. Nintendo representatives at CES stated that a small, cheap hard drive costing $50 would have a potential market in the millions. After additional deliberation, the Kittyhawk team decided to pass on this opportunity in search of more lucrative markets. This mistake is somewhat understandable, because the $50 target cost was deemed too high of a technological challenge. Investing in Uncertain Customers The last complication leading to the Kittyhawk projects demise came from the customers themselves. After the launch of the first Kittyhawk hard drive, many new unexpected customers stepped forward to show interest. This situation became the proverbial carrot on a stick for the Kittyhawk team. Some see doping as a major advantage to athletes. Others see it as just another source of training. Even with all the controversy you can not help but agree with the majority of experts; blood doping should stay illegal in sports. Blood doping is the injection of oxygenated blood into an athlete before an event in an attempt to enhance athletic performance. From most people s outlooks doping is natural. Blood doping is technically the same as sleeping at high altitudes, or in oxygen tents. They all cause the proportion of oxygen carrying red blood cells to rise. So if those are legal forms ... • 15. Disadvantages Of Deficit Spending Deficit spending is when there is an excess of government expenditures over the government revenue, creating a shortfall that must be financed through borrowing (Deficit Spending, 2014). To put this in other terms deficit spending is when the government needs to borrow money in order to pay for different government programs and other items of value. In the past deficit spending has been used when a country was facing a war or they needed to finance a building project. Deficit spending is also used to help pull a country out of a recession. The actions taken by the government during the late 1930s and early 1940s are a prime example of deficit spending. The United States were in the middle of the great depression and consumer spending had fallen drastically due to the number of people that found themselves unemployed and without money. In order to combat this drastic decrease in spending the government took on a number of projects that were meant to increase the overall spending. In order to spend more the government would have to borrow money. Once the country was out of the depression, and consumer spending began to grow, the idea was that the government would be able to pay back the money that they had borrowed. In order to determine if deficit spending is worth the cost a country needs to look at the advantages and disadvantages. One of the major advantages of deficit spending is the amount of revenue and jobs that are created in a time when the overall consumer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, many people take God or gods out of the many aspects of their lives. Now, if God is mentioned in a debate or topic, it creates controversies and is specifically targeted by critics. Topics or questions such as evolution or the origins of the universe have long been debated, studied, and researched. It is the belief that the world is around ten thousand years old. The idea or belief is far from the findings of science which calculate the age of the earth to be around five billion years old. The data considered solid by scientists such as the astronomical measurements on stars, dating of rocks, and the reconstructions of the history of life on the planet are based on the calculation that the earth is five billion years old. Almost all of the things that science has researched and discovered are based on the calculation that the earth is around five billion years old, but scientific creationism argues against all of the proof and claims that the earth is young. The age of the earth, in the eyes of scientific creationism, is calculated first by creating a genealogical table. Starting with Adam, the man considered to be the first human, the genealogy should be studied until the birth of Christ. This will give you the approximate age of the earth. However, there is another controversial topic: the length of the day. Scientific creationism believes that the length of the day in Genesis chapter one is a literal 24 hour day, however there are other theories that the day might be longer and may not even be confined within the human realm. However, there is a scientific reason why that person is attracted to one person, and not another. There are many contributing factors to how we are attracted to each other, three of which are pheromones, major histocompatibility complex(MHC) and genetics. One of the major elements of human attraction is pheromones. Pheromones are biochemical molecules that can take many different forms, such as skunk spray, or pheromones in bees that direct them to flowers, or even sex pheromones. What many people do not know, is that our genes help us to find a partner. A team lead by Chris Wedekind at the University of Bern in Switzerland conducted a study to find if MHC variations affect how women, and how they evaluate the aroma. Chris and his team found something interesting; they found that women preferred the scent of men with a much different MHC profile, and the women thought that MHC similar men smelled like their father or brother. Another finding of the team was that the intensity of the smell is also a factor, with some men with stronger scents being rated lower, possibly because it is a common signal of disease. It was also noted that men with unusually sweet smells were often rated low, because it is a common sign of schizophrenia. Overall, our genes are very important for choosing the right mate the first time and making sure that that person is the right one. All in all, pheromones, MHC, and genes all play important parts in finding our true love. They are also important for the survival and health of us and our offspring. The education that goes into shaping coaches today takes creativity and new technology to stay current with the ever changing landscape of sports. The importance of educating coaches is vital to the success of the team and the athletes involved. Having a strong foundation to build the team on starts with a coach who has taken the time to learn about all the resources available to have more tools to teach. Everyone has a role to play in achieving a successful team. Establishing an information flow that starts at the top, and reaches the bottom will be the key in providing an educational environment. This information flow only works if the information flows back up. It takes a certain type of person to inspire and motivate a group of professionals. One needs to learn how to follow to become a great leader. Translating information to function is a talent not everyone can do, that is why there are just a handful of hall of fame coaches. Virginity in 17th and 18th Century Poetry Essay examples Virginity in 17th and 18th Century Poetry Benjamin Franklin once said that there were only two inevitable things in life: death and taxes. He got it half right. They did, in fact, die with pretty regular certainty. However, what was inevitable was sex. Without it, there wouldn t be any new people to die and poor Ben Franklin would have been completely wrong. The only hindrance to this certainty was (and remains) virgins. The realm of the chaste has been explored in poetry throughout time, but never was the subject as thoroughly probed as in the 17th and 18th century. In Katherine Phillips s A Married State (1679), the many advantages of a life of chastity are listed. Phillips says A virgin s state is crowned with much content; / It s always happy as it s innocent. In addition to innocence, Phillips points out that there are no grouchy husbands, no screaming children and nothing else to distract you from your service to God. In fact, wistful women wishing they d kept their virginity and wedding vows to themselves wrote many poems in this era. It is a telling social commentary that so many married women would wish themselves back to live a life of chaste penitence than to enter into so called wedded bliss. The most common theme in virginity poems is that of men trying to get women to change their minds and go to bed with them. Many poets tried to use persuasion on their objects of desire. In Robert Herrick s To the Virgins to Make Much of Time, the well known first line Gather ye rosebuds while ye may appears. This poem is an appeal to virtuous women to use it while they ve got it, per se. The defendants cashed the checks at local banks, which then mailed the checks to the drawee banks for collection. The court held that the mailing of the cashed checks to the drawee banks could not supply the mailing element of the mail fraud charges. The defendant s fraudulent scheme had reached fruition. People never saw this fire coming which might have made it even worse. The only reason it spread so far was because everything was made out of wood, the ground was parched and the wind was blowing that night; the reason it stopped was because it had started raining. Although the fire destroyed most of the city, it was a positive turning point in history. The Chicago Fire improved firefighting and their equipment, new buildings that were made out of fireproof materials, and it brought big investors to the city. Book donations from England were part of Chicago s first free library. In 1956, there was a Fire Academy built on the site where Mr. and Mrs. O Leary s barn once stood. The Academy trains new firefighters to this day (Schons). The rebuilding of Chicago started immediately, sometimes even before the architect and engineers had completed their designs. There were laws that were passed requiring new buildings with fireproof materials like brick, stone, marble and limestone because of the fire. These materials that are way more expensive than wood were held together by a strong, sticky substance called mortar. The construction technique using that substance is called masonry and the skilled groups of construction workers are called masons. Many Chicagoans could not afford the fireproof materials, the skilled masons or the insurance to rebuild. Without rebuilding or insuring their property, thousands of people were crowded out of Chicago. Many businesses ignored the new building laws. It was clear that both mom and dad were emotionally stressed by not being able to provide basic needs for their newborn, and physical contact was restricted to small amounts of touching through the isolette. • 42. Lack Of Marginal Utility Theory Suppliers might have to do a market research in order to forecast the consumer behaviour. To do this efficiently, firms might use marginal utility theory, namely principle of diminishing marginal utility together with indifference analysis. Utility is the satisfaction that people earn from the consumption of a certain quantity of a product (Mankiw and Taylor, 2014). Marginal utility is the additional satisfaction that customer gains from consuming one extra unit within a given period of time. However, the more of a product a person consumes, the less additional utility they are able to gain from that extra unit. Understanding this situation, economists come up with indifference analysis. Indifference analysis shows how consumer chooses the combination between two goods but still obtains the same satisfaction and indifference curve is the graph which illustrates that combination. It means, at any points on indifference curve, the consumer is indifferent about how to combine the two goods. Diagrammatically, if a person chooses 6 units of good Y with 2 units of good X, his utility will not be different from choosing 4 units of Y with 3 units of X, as long as those points are still on the curve. Most indifference curves have a convex shape and the reason is this. The lower units of good Y, the bigger quantity of good X in order to satisfy the loss of good Y. Nevertheless, the amount of giving up one of these two good cannot be the same. In other words, if the one of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
