Precambrian Era Essay
The Precambrian is the name given for the first super eon of Earth s history (Mary Bagley, Accessed:
20th Aug 2016). This era itself has been recorded to be about seven eighths of the entire earth s
history. This era stretches across from 4 Billion years ago up until only 543 Million years ago (Mya)
which shows how large and substantial this era was.
Precambrian itself refers to the time before the Cambrian period. It also refers to the entire period of
time before the formation of the oldest rocks with recognisable fossils. Lately, however, it has been
seen that some hard to distinguish fossils from in the Precambrian times have been found. The
Precambrian Era can be split into three eras: The Hadean, the Archean and also the Proterozoic. ...

Life on earth began in the early Archean and fossilized organisms became far more abundant through
the entirety of the Precambrian time.
Three billion years ago there was no traces of oxygen in the atmosphere, this caused no life to be able
to live on earth. At around 2.4 billion years, oxygen was beginning to be released in the oceans as
photosynthesis began in cyanobacteria. This process caused the gas levels to slowly grow and
eventually made up 1% of the earth s atmosphere at around 2 Bya. By 800 Mya, oxygen levels
reached around 20% which let organisms to slowly breathe to life. This spike in oxygen also caused
the earth s surface to be shielded from solar radiation. This was the start of the first unicellular
organisms.
The first multicelled animals started appearing in the records of fossils around 600 million years ago.
Fossils found at this time were known as Ediacarans and showed a very important time of evolution
for earth. Ediacara fauna was specifically named after the Ediacara hills in South Australia in which
they were discovered in the early 1900 s. These organisms even predate the explosion of life forms at
the beginning of the Cambrian

What Is The Target Audience
Phase One, define the target audience: The first step in project is to meet with all the project stake
holders to define the target audience. This is a critical step because it will inform all the others
regarding the look, feel, content, and over all aesthetic of the site. Given that this website is a
marketing tool for VIVASEL, the target audience for the website will be the same target audience that
will use the product.
Phase Two, create a site map/wireframes: In this step the website will be outlined by the development
team and the other stakeholders. The team will create rough images of what the different web pages
will look like, functionality will be discussed, and a general design direction will be agreed upon.
Additionally, any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The developers will follow the design guidelines and the wireframes developed in phase two, which
were built to serve the target audience in phase one, so the completed website will be an effective tool
for VIVIASEL from day one. A subsequent internal LMR review will take place during this phase
which will ensure all of the website content is compliant and displayed correctly.
Phase five, tracking and analytics: In this step, the completed website will have its tracking suite
installed. Given that the website is based on a Joomla CMS, the best tracking suite to use is JRealTime
analytics. This 3rd party plug in will integrate with the website to provide detailed tracking data for
every single element. The developers will also install tracking code from Google analytics, which
provides the same functionality, for consistency. Tracking is critically important to the website
because it will provide relevant information that will be measured against the website s Key
Performance Indicators. This data will inform all the stakeholders on how effective the website is.
Phase six, testing: This is when the website will be tested by both internal employees familiar to the
project, as well as outside individuals. The feedback from both groups will be compared and analyzed
to determine if any significant changes to the

Physical Therapy Summary
A source, written by Greve and Schmitt, studied two children that were both diagnosed with spastic
diplegia, and during there therapy session, the participants were instructed a set of goals to work
toward. To begin, the introduction discussed what issues children with cerebral palsy struggle with.
These authors are credible because they work in the Cincinnati Children s Hospital Medical Center as
physical therapists and occupational therapists. The article holds authority in that it was published in
the peer reviewed journal Pediatric Physical Therapy. The introduction discusses the idea that
intensive bursts of therapy are more effective than, for example, lower intensity therapy over a long
period of time (Bailes, Greve, Schmitt, 2010). Authors Bailes, Greve, and Schmitt write, One such

After observation, it was determined that each child showed some improvement in some areas, but the
children also showed declines in some areas (Bailes, Greve, Schmitt, 2010). Basically, it was
determined that more studies must be performed to determine the exact results suit therapy has on
children with cerebral palsy and spastic diplegia. This article appears unbiased; the children were
chosen randomly based on specific criteria (spastic diplegia and cerebral palsy diagnosis), and their
results were measured using criteria specific to their needs. Different health professionals observed the
participants, including physical therapy and occupational therapy, which means, observation and
conclusions drawn were based on multiple opinions. These factors cause the article to seem credible
and show no bias. A year after this study was published another study was conducted that increased
the sample size so the results of suit therapy intervention are more

Lille Tissage
Executive Summary
Lille Tissages, S.A is a French company located in Lille. It was the largest company in the textile
industry in France.
During its activity, the company got in 2003 a good year with sales exceeding FF96million.
One of the items of the company, Item 345 a sole product for the company saw its price raised in 2002
from FF15 to FF20 a meter. This decision has been taken in order to strengthen the capital position.
However, the competitors kept their price at FF15 for similar items and the company Lille Tissages,
S.A lost market shares. Consequently, the sales director is afraid that because Lille Tissage does not
meet the competitive price the volume of sales will decrease significantly.
This is the reason ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Question 3:Is there any possibility that competition might raise their prices if Lille Tissages maintains
its price of FF20? If so, how do you take this factor into your analysis?
Indeed, if Lille Tissages, S.A maintains its price of FF20 the competitors might raise their prices even
if it gives them a competitive advantage if they are lower. But because they all have higher costs and
some of them are in tight financial straits they might consider an increase of their price.
However, this raise of the competitors might be benefit to Lille Tissages, S.A. Indeed, we know that
Lille Tissages,S.A has a better quality than its competitor and the clients might choose a better quality
for a same price. And competitors will lose market shares which will benefit to Lille Tissages, S.A that
will gain those market shares.

Speech On Birds In Peril
Birds in Peril
Eleven species of animals have gone extinct over the past two centuries. To many people, this
statement would not shock them. They will just see it as a statistic. Many others though; would want
to do something to stop this from happening. Problems include natural disasters, homes being taken
away or destroyed, hunted for their feathers or the fur that they provide; There are many factors as to
why these animals disappear but people are the number one cause as to why animals decline so rapidly
in numbers.
Many people know there are people who don t give a rip about animals, and there are some that are in
between, and others that absolutely love animals. The problem here are the people that do not like
animals at all. Trees are cut down, pollution thrown wherever, and not even once do they think about
the animals that occupy these essentials. They do not think about the river that the animals need to
drink out of. They do not think of the birds that live in the trees, or other animals that look to them as a
food source.
The thing is, these animals know when their habitat is not suitable to live in. These birds called raptors
which means carry away in Latin; know when their habitat isn t suitable, which then gives a sign to
other animals to find another place. These birds of prey are in constant threat of being killed, whether
it be by pollution, their homes being taken away or they are shot down in fear of them killing the farm
animals farm owners provide.

Essay on The Success of Title IX
Sports is a powerful force in society today. People of all ages and both sexes watch and participate in
different sports in increasing numbers. Equal opportunity to participate in sports seems like a right that
is natural and would be a common sense issue, but unfortunately this has not always been the case. In
1972 Congress enacted the Education Amendments of 1972, this contains Title IX which was intended
to ensure that discrimination based on sex was eliminated. The area that this has had the most
contentious impact is sports. Has Title IX increased women s opportunities to participate in sports
during college equitably and fairly? Title IX has increased opportunities for women to participate in
college sports programs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Three tests were devised to measure if schools are in compliance with Title IX. They are:
1. Ensuring that opportunities for men and women are substantially proportionate to enrollment by
gender.
2. Offering sports that fully and effectively satisfies the interests and abilities of female students.
3. Showing a history and continuing practice of expanding the sports programs for women.
Schools need not meet all three, but must meet only one according to the Education Department.
These three tests are what all complaints and lawsuits are judged by. They are the backbone of Title
IX.
With the law and the means to measure and enforce it in place all we had to do was look for results.
The 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta give an indication of the impact Title IX has had on women s
sports. Women athletes took home 19 of the 44 gold medals the United States won. The women who
have accomplished this are the first generation of women who, from the time they were little kids,
were encouraged to participate in sport. (St. George). This certainty signifies that Title IX has had a
positive impact on women s sports.
Another measure of the success of Title IX is the number of sports programs in the country. Has
women s sports programs narrowed the gap with men s programs? The answer is a resounding yes!
From 1978 to 1996 colleges and university s around the country added 1,658 women s sports
programs while at the same time men s sports

Did you know over 54% of Americans voted yes to voting ages being changed down to 13? Would

believe at that age the kids are as capable as any adult out there. They believe that the young teenagers

be allowed to vote. In my opinion, children that age cannot even handle the simple day to day

Example Of Piracy Research Paper
Pirates are criminals who steal vessels, people and goods on the sea and coastal areas. Privateers were
privately owned ships that captured sea trade under orders from various governments. Buccaneers
were government sponsored pirate crews who attacked Spanish ships in the Caribbean during the 17th
century. Terms privateers and buccaneers are today both synonyms for piracy. The earliest example of
piracy is recorded in 14th century BC Mediterranean.
First, a pirate attack that significantly endangered any country was pirate attacks on Olympos in 3rd
century BC. Earliest pirates came from first nations who used the ocean for commerce Illyrians,
Tyrrhenians, Greeks, and Romans. A pirate who served as the largest motivation for generations of
other pirates after him was Henry Every, English pirate who managed not only to capture largest pirate

Occurrences of buried pirate treasure were greatly popularized by novelists, but in reality, only two
such events were ever verified, one by English captain Francis Drake, who buried cargo of Silver, and
pirate William Kidd who buried his treasure before he knew he would be arrested. He was sentenced
to death, and treasure was never found. In the history of piracy, there were not many women. But
several managed to rise to prominence, most notably Anne Bonny and Mary Read, who served
together on a pirate ship. Anne Bonny was in the relationship with pirate Captain Calico Jack
Rackham, who was caught and hanged in 1720. Mary Read died in prison from fever, but final fate of
Anne Bonny is not known.

The New Face of Black Feminine Beauty Essay
The New Face of Black Feminine Beauty
Since the early 1900s, Black women have had a fascination with their hair. More explicitly, they have
had a fascination with straightening their hair. The need to be accepted by the majority class has
caused them to do so. Though the image of straight hair as being better than coarse hair still hasn t left
the Black community, there has been a surge of non straight hairstyles since the nineteen sixties.
Wearing more natural hairstyles, which ironically enough include weaves and hair extensions has been
considered to be more empowered and more enlightened. However, this image comes with a price,
and though it appears the natural hairstyle movement has advanced Black women, it has actually set ...

The model is drawn because a real life model would be perceived to be fake, air brushed, etc. The
colorlessness of the drawing creates the scene of a universal Black woman. Also, the drawn picture
doesn t get into the light/dark color complex. The light/dark color complex is another ideological
problem in the Black community. Lighter Blacks (especially women) were perceived to be more
attractive, more intelligent, and more acceptable to the White community. Darker skinned Blacks were
perceived to be the opposite. This was deposited upon the culture during the slave era. Hair texture
also became an issue within the Black community, as lighter, straighter hair was perceived to be nicer,
and coarse, thick hair was perceived to be bad, ugly. The afro movement in the 60 s challenged this
ideology. In the 60 s, natural hair meaning coarse and thick, began to signify intelligence, Black
power, and resistance to the majority culture, overall enlightenment. This image was reborn in the late
1990s. Newer options for natural hairstyles and the increasing acceptance of dreadlocks reinitiated a
type of anti chemically relaxed hair movement. Refusing to put chemicals in one s hair (chemicals
referring to those used to straighten one s hair) meant refusing to cater to the slave mentality of light
skinned, straight haired beauty. However, the connection between natural hair and soulful,
enlightened, etc, only works if one s

Comparing Jackson Pollock And Chuck Close
This essay will compare and contrast the work of Jackson Pollock and Chuck Close, specifically the
Abstract Expressionist Number 1A of 1948 and the photorealist Self Portrait of 1991. I will explore
the similarities in the process of these two artists, despite their end result appearing to be poles apart.
Both artists are and were as obsessed with the process of making art as much as with the outcome.
Close and Pollock both employed highly inventive techniques and cultivated a signature style that is
instantly recognizable. Number 1A is an early realization of Pollock s distinctive approach to dripping
paint directly onto the canvas. This technique quickly became a statement on the aesthetic and
psychological power of large scale abstract painting. At five feet and eight inches by eight feet and 8
inches it is a massive piece that s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

of veil for whatever lies underneath. Making it challenging to interpret and look into the piece. No
place for the eye to settle and rest. There are no figures hidden within the drips. No hint of a
representational image. At first there is a sense or reckless abandon and a wild application of paint.
After closer examining it is clear Pollock s strokes are controlled, swift, assured, almost mechanical.

Many pastors often will have the little children of the church ushered to the front to speak with them

how the majority of them say with such confidence what they will be someday. And in the

Although, the majority of the responsibility of a case is in the paralegal hands; however, it is the

amount of time a paralegal spends researching for a case may overshadow personal responsibilities
depending on the need of the client and lawyer. Because of this, a paralegal may have to work for a

The Weakening Of The Catholic Church
The weakening of the Church was a big thing in their time. The Catholic Church was the only Church
that has ever went down. There were two main factors that lead to the Church s weakening. First, the
Church weakened by worldliness and corruption within the Church. The corruption started to get
really bad during the 1300s. The Church was so corrupted the priests sold indulgences which was a
release from punishments for sin. The high Church officials would fail to live up to the roles which is

Critical Analysis Of David Lindsay Abaire s Good People
Everybody has a class no matter if your poor or rich. Examining the difference between Southie and
Chestnut Hill you can tell which class is poor and which class is rich. Through Good People , David
Lindsay Abaire argues that rich people and poor people has a different life styles. This can be seen
through his use of imagery, characterization and conflict. In this play, David Lindsay Abaire uses
imagery to shows what type of life style that Southie and Chestnut Hill has. Firstly, Southie has many
poor people and broken things around them. For example, Abaire shows how Southie s environment
looks by the narration of the play, The alley behind the Dollar store. There s a dumpster back there and
a rusty chair and a door labelled Dollar store (5). Another way, Chestnut Hill has many rich people
and many expensive things. For example, Abaire narrates about Mikes house in details, Lights up on a
beautiful home. The living room takes up most of the space. Up and left we may see part of a foyer
that leads to the front door. Doorways and corridors lead off to other parts of the house the kitchen, the
dining room, maybe we see a staircase that leads up to the bedroom (105). The author went into
details to show how rich Mike is. Again, Abaire is showing us that anyone from Southie will try their
luck to get more money. For example, Margret is playing bingo with her friends in a basement of a
church, Margaret, jean and Dottie are at a folding table in the basement of a

The Theory Of Self Determination Essay
The idea of national self determination is beneficial to those living in a nation state, however, the
prerequisites required to make it available to many is too difficult to attain. Nation states are said to be
the ideal regime: a system by the people, for the people. However, things in theories do not always
work out in practice. In this paper, I will explore concepts regarding self determination through its
definitions, origins, theories, and practices, following with a number of complications that restrict
practical use and potential reasons of why the idea of self determination may be impractical to use on
a global scale.
What is national self determination and where did it originate? In order to answer this critical
question, one must understand the concepts of nations, states, and nation states. The two terms nations
and states are often used as synonyms, when in fact, they are two completely distinct concepts. As
introduced in our text, Introduction to politics and government, by Eric Mintz, David Close, Osvaldo
Croci (2016), a state is defined as an independent, self governing political community that has the
power to create rules that are binding on the population (p. 26). The three elements of a state include
territory, a population, and sovereignty (which will be discussed in greater detail later). These are
defining elements of; a state must have territory (land for its community), a population residing within
that territory (no matter how few), it must

1973 in order to provide an effective replacement for two other pieces of environmental legislation . (
Endangered Species 1). Surely such a successful piece of legislation deserves praise, yet it is not all
that it appears. Despite good intentions it is entirely possible that this piece of legislation is merely a

The Ideas Of Women In Literature, By Siegfried Sassoon
Women in Literature Throughout generations women have been always been treated as second class
citizens in society. This concept is portrayed in many different novels from past generations, it is
shown how women had to live by societies will or else they would be out casted and left in isolation.
They were discredited, such as their help during the first Great War and described unfavorably by men
in literature and even some women in society. To society women were to be homemakers, while the
men were to do all the hard labor and provide food for the family. Literature was a place where the
divide was shown clearly. Many male writers describe the female gender as weak willed and oblivious
to the world around them. Men would write women as fanciful and that they were made to please
men. This is not the case when it came to women writers, women would describe women as strong
and in a positive favor. Women always believed that with the right education they would be at an
equal level to their male counter parts. When it comes to a man writing about women they tend to be
harsh and judgmental towards women, describing them as foolish and ignorant to the world around
them. During the twentieth century ideas of women s rights were appearing but that did not stop the
discrimination of women. An example of this unjust idea, is a poem written by a twentieth century
poet, named Siegfried Sassoon. The poem is called Glory of Women and it is about the Great War and
how women supposedly

Essay about Advantages and Disadvantages of Free...
1a) Advantages of free international trade
1. Increasing the production.
Countries are enabled by free international trade to specialise or to focus in the production of the
goods in which they have a comparative advantage. Specialisation countries can take the benefit of
efficiencies generated from increased output and economies of trade. The size of the firm s market are
increased by the international trade which results in lower average costs and increasing in
productivity, as it ultimately leads to increase in production.
2. Production efficiencies.

With free international trade a lot of jobs will be created in the country, especially in industries of
manufacturing and services which can absorb the unemployment that created by restructuring as firms
down their workforce.
Disadvantages of free international trade.
1. Structural unemployment may occur in the short term with the removal of trade barriers. This will
have impact on large numbers of workers, as well as their families and local economies. In growth
industries workers often will have difficulties to find employment.
2. Business, consumers and employees are more weak to downturns in the economies of trading
partners. For example, recession in the USA leads to decrease in demand for UK s exports, leading to
falling in export incomes, lower GDP and incomes, decrease in domestic demand and rising in
unemployment.
3. Some of the countries with surplus commodities may dumb them on international markets at a low
price. Under such conditions, some of the efficient industries can might find difficulties in competing
for long period. Furthermore, countries whose economies are mostly rural will face unfavourable
terms of trade. For example, ration of export prices to import prices. Which means that their export
income is more smaller than their import payments the make for high value added imports, as it leads
to subsequently large foreign debt levels.

We Are Becoming More Comfortable With Many Kinds Of Danger
Avalanche Gently, I open my tired eyes to the bright morning lights shining through the cracks of my
aging tent. Stretching my awfully sore, cramping legs under my snowsuit, I take in a big breath of the
mountain air. Christopher, Michael are you ready to go yet? Get out of your tents! Rachel hollers from
her tent. Alright, Michael yells bitterly from behind me. Smiling, I carefully unzip my cramped tent
and gaze in awe at my perfectly stunning snowy mountain view. Small, white flakes are falling from
the light gray sky, working together to make yet another layer of untouched snow. Down below are
treacherous slopes, steep cliffs, and slippery patches of ice that used to terrify me but don t anymore.

Essay On Ed s Tall Tales
Humankind fought numerous wars in the twentieth century. In the United States, none affected the
everyday lives of those left at home to the extent that the Second World War did. The government
rationed essential war material, such as rubber, gasoline, and numerous food items. Teens, disabled,
middle aged, and elderly, male and female, kept farms productive and factories turning out munitions
at an unprecedented level. Although people endured hardships, they also found opportunities for
adventure and financial gain. For countless people, the war changed the direction of their lives.1 Their
stories are diverse. Ed s Tall Tales
In the 1960s, during my junior high and high school years, I frequently earned money by working for
our next door neighbors, Ed and Alice Larson. In the winter, I shoveled the snow from their sidewalks
and occasionally, when the snow accumulated from multiple storms, I cleared the snow off their roof.
In the summer, I received seventy five cents each time I mowed their grass. Since Ed provided both
the lawn mower and fuel, I discounted my usual one dollar charge for a lawn of their size.
After moving out of my childhood home, I seldom interacted with Ed and Alice. However, while

Hot Potatoes (https://hotpot.uvic.ca) is a popular software consisting of 6 different educational
applications. Each program enables users, especially teachers to generate different teaching exercises.
Each kind of applications can be used to make a distinct kind of exercises. JBC or Masher, allows
teachers to create multiple choice quizzes whereas JQuiz is useful in text entry with hints available for
students. Another program, JMix lets produce the jumbled word exercises in which students have to
reorder the words logically. Regarding JCross, it is much more convenient than Excel when creating
crosswords in case of complex construction. JCloze produces exercises in form of fill in the blank,
which allows gapping selected words or random gapping. The final application JMatch means
matching fixed items on the left columns to the confusing items on the right ones. Each program

Analysis Of The Movie Bill Cosby
Ruining a reputation is as easy as ruining a life. Just keep secrets. It may be a forbidden relationship or
one from the past that comes to haunt later. The latter is true for Bill Cosby. After Hannibal Burress
called Cosby a rapist in a comedy act in October 2014, several women s stories came to national
attention. Barbara Bowman wrote an essay, about her experience with Bill Cosby for Washington Post
online on November 13th, 2014. She explains how the relationship started off harmlessly. He had a
TV show and she was a 17 year old aspiring model so he gave her tips and they bonded over the
industry. The first time he assaulted her was at his home in New York City, where he had invited her to

persona and she was just a young model. She was afraid if she said something she would be criticized
for trying to deface Cosby s image, being accused that she was just lying to get attention and publicity.
Her story had been published a handful of times before Burress s accusation but only now is it taking
actual hold in the media. His comment along with accusations from several women created a public
outcry. Barbara Bowman is not alone with her experience, a handful of other women, actresses and

The five movements of Beethoven s Symphony No. 6 Pastorale draw listeners in with a quick, but
leisurely tempo and rich developed movements. The symphony seemingly flows and fits the titles
beautifully. It is easy to paint a picture of a noble countryside, nature, and all the activities it entails.
Beethoven s Piano Concerto No.5 Emperor is a three part traditional concerto, an Allegro, Adagio, and
the Rondo. This concerto was named Emperor because of the powerful themes and heroic note of the
composition (www.all about beethoven.com/concerto5.html).
The opening of the concerto brings a main theme introduced by a solo piano with the full orchestra
providing a dramatic presence of several chords. The piano flourishes grow in length until reaching a
cadenza after the third time. The full orchestra joins in and carries the theme into the full exposition.
The theme is bold with a pleasant interjection of a second subject that seems to tiptoe through the
movement. The orchestra stays in the tonic key as the piano modulates and reaches a wide variety of
tones as the scales are worked. The development of the movement effectively flips the lead. The
orchestra now leads and the piano accompanies. The main theme rhythm is reinforced by a powerful
bassoon. The coda is lead by horns and joined by the rest of the orchestra to a thrilling close.
The second movement is a slow movement and begins quietly

word trope has also come to be used for describing commonly recurring literary and rhetorical

Richard Nixon employed the same rhetoric in comparing cancer mortality to World War II mortality.

Cancer of which Mary Woodard Lasker was an activist asks Why don t we try to conquer cancer by

Surely the war against cancer has the support of 100% of the people. It is a war in which we lost 21
times more lives last year than we lost in Vietnam last year. A war we can win and put the entire
human race in our debt. The warfare based cancer rhetoric put pressure on the political class and

implying that cancer could be conquered, and diminished public trust in medical science when it failed

Deadly Diseases By John E. Calfee
Deadly Diseases
There s at least one person we all know who maybe have a deadly disease and may not be receiving
the treatment they desperately need. Michael Crichton a film producer, critic and author of Patenting
Life, earned his degree from Harvard Medical School, and author John E. Calfee a resident scholar of
American Enterprise Institution and economist author of Decoding the Use of Gene Patents both share
their views on gene patents. Crichton and Calfee share similarities on the research itself, but do not
share the same ideas on whether or not gene patents put a halt on research, and paying a royalty to
study the gene. Both Crichton and Calfee find research on the genes important. They may show it in
different ways such as Crichton. Crichton believes money should not be made on the process of
patenting genes. While Calfee believes making money and charging researchers and patients to pay.
They both share the importance of finding treatment or a cure in their own ways. One may think their
point is better than the other but the readers; ourselves should be the judge of that. We all have the
right to our own beliefs and how morality plays a part in our lives and what we believe is right.
The Dr. s view on gene patents is the halt they put on testing and studying of genes and current studies
to find a major breakthrough for the disease. (441) It is not only fair to the researchers who spend their
lives trying to develop a cure but also to the loved ones and

Differences Between Fringe Banks And One Traditional...
In this paper, I will explain my experience with three fringe banks and one traditional commercial
bank. For fringe banking, I will be analyzing Money Mart, Xtra Cash and Loan Express Payday
Advance and for the traditional commercial bank, I will be investigating the Royal Bank of Canada.
For the tradtional bank I will be analyzing the differences in credit lines.
Firstly I will look at the two key differences between Fringe banks and tradational banks. One key
difference between Fringe banks and traditional banks is that Fringe banks do not provide the full
finanical services that banks offer. This is due to the fact Fringe banks do have large revenues to cover
the cost of operation. This lack of large revuene makes it so that customers have to pay a higer interest
rate to compensate for the operational costs. Essentially the interest rate will be higher in order to
cover for the cost of borrowing the loans. This is not seen in banks as they have large revenues to
compensate for those costs. A second difference between Frige banks and the commercial banks is the
credit score. Commerical banks require a 670 credit score while fringe banks need a 540 credit score.
This can be attributed to the types of customers the respective types of banks are looking to attract.
Fringe banks generally work with people who are risky while banks work with people who are not
risky. Fringe banks work with risky clintile mailinly by helping them to achieve the payment by
allowing them to

Supraspinatus Tendonitis Essay
Supraspinatus tendonitis typically occurs when there is an impingement of the supraspinatus muscle of
the shoulder joint between the acromion as it passes by the acromion and humerus head. In response,
the supraspinatus tendon and the contiguous peritendinous soft tissues become inflamed. The
supraspinatus is a muscle located in the supraspinatus fossa of the scapula located in the shoulder and
is largely affected by supraspinatus tendonitis. The supraspinatus allows for the abduction of the
shoulder and its insertion is the greater tuberosity of the humerus. Tendonitis is the inflammation of a
tendon and commonly occurs in the elbows, knees, and shoulders. Therefore, supraspinatus tendonitis
is the inflammation of the supraspinatus. This condition is a very common inflammatory problem
because it can be caused by the abduction of the arm, which is involved in many sports and activities.

condition occurs more often in athletes and active individuals, people who are between 30 to 60 years

supraspinatus tendinosis, which is when there is chronic degeneration without any inflammation. This

The Catastrophe Of The US Economy
The U.S. job market is currently under siege. The global market shows no mercy and America is not
an exception. Ever since the Great Recession of the late 2000s, millions of people have been out of a
job. According to a chart on the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, a federally managed website,
there are still large amounts of unemployed people in some states: Many states in the U.S. still have an
unemployment rate of over five percent ( Unemployment ). The United States needs to create more
jobs. The economy is not in its best shape due to the multitude of job cuts in the U.S. workforce. There
are many reasons that have contributed to the catastrophe of America s workforce, but there are also
plenty of solutions. The United States economy has too few of jobs to satisfy the global demand, but
there are many strategies involving both business and government that can solve this problem.
Extended unemployment checks are a reason why there are fewer jobs in the U.S. then there should
be. Many people decide to not get employed or give up working completely because they realize that
the U.S. government gives free checks to them for simply being unemployed. The unemployment
program funded by the government, in whole, is generally not a bad thing. The idea of this program is
to help people struggling to find a job until they can support themselves. These unemployment plans
were not intended to provide for a permanently unemployed citizen, yet people have figured out how

Reflective Essay On Drinking Coffee
This reading was relatable, and it contains intriguing stories. It was relatable because as humans, we
are guilty of cognitive dissonance and we try to reduce the dissonance to feel safe about our actions or
beliefs. Personally, I go through cognitive dissonance many times in my daily routine. My life consists
of working out daily, eating healthy, and caring for my three children, but like every human being I
have a bad habit. Coffee is my life, and every morning I go through this process where I don t know if
I should drink a cup or not. I know the consequences of drinking coffee I get bad migraines after a cup
and get jittery. Then I justify my behavior by telling myself that I don t drink coffee every day and it s
not all bad theirs benefits to it that keeps me awake to get everything done. I have not yet resolved
this, but I do feel guilty after a cup of coffee. The story that captivated me was the doomsday cult that
Leon Festinger studied. The people in this community had strong beliefs that the world would end by
a great flood. These people literally left their possession s, jobs, and just in general their life all
because of this prophecy. When the leader and her followers realized that the prophecy failed, they
didn t accept their mistake instead they justified. The followers believed the reason they were
apparently spared was because of their strong faith and prayers. The followers were so gullible to
believe that a UFO would pick them up and somehow they stood

The Haitian Revolution Essay
The cause and effects of the Haitian Revolution have played, and continue to play, a major role in the
history of the Caribbean. During the time of this rebellion, slavery was a large institution throughout
the Caribbean. The success of the sugar and other plantations was based on the large slave labor
forces. Without these forces, Saint Domingue, the island with the largest sugar production, and the rest
of the Caribbean, would face the threat of losing a profitable industry.
The Haitian Revolution did not just start and end in one day. Instead, the entire revolution took place

In France at the time, the relatively homogenous ethnicity allowed for the convenient and commonly
accepted divisions of social ?estates?. By contrast, the colonies were culturally and ethnically plural.
Rather than ?estates,? the colonies,...had ?castes?, whites, free persons of color, and the slaves (Knight
203). While the black slaves formed about 80 percent of the population on the island of Saint
Domingue, the upper strata was divided between color and class. The population of Saint Domingue at
the time was classified into three main categories. Each main category was then subdivided. The
whites were divided between the gran blancs and the petit blancs; the free blacks were usually referred
to as the gens de couleur; and the slaves were called affranchis.
Another factor which must be understood before explaining the events that took place before, during,
and after the revolution is the general geography of the island itself. In 1789, Saint Domingue was not
a unified colony. It was divided geographically, topographically, and agriculturally into a eastern and
western sides. The western part of the island, Hispanola, belonging to the Spanish and the Eastern
portion, Saint Domingue belonging to the French. The Spanish side was again split into three distinct

Aliens Of The Human Kind
Aliens of the Human Kind
A man, marked with the scars of a long dangerous journey. Hot, bleak, and empty, the dry air and
glaring lack of life created a tangible sense of doom. Risking it all for his family, leaving his country,
crossing the border. This man has created a new life, he is now an alien in the land of freedom and
prosperity. An illegal immigrant is defined as anyone who moves to a country with intent on living
there, without any form of identification. Illegal immigration comes into play when people do not
follow the guidelines during the immigration process. Today there are many issues that surround
immigration: reformation of the system, amnesty, and the over effects. This raises the question, just
how do undocumented immigrants affect the US, politically, socially, and economically?
Many immigrants are currently coming to the US illegally are from Latin America. Back in the late
1800 s we had a different type of immigration problems with the Chinese. On May 6, 1882 president
Chester A. Arthur signed the Chinese exclusion act which prohibited all Chinese from entering the US
(wikipedia). Back in those times there was less sensitivity towards racism. One thing that was similar
between the two times were their motives for coming: money. Although 2016 is different than 1882,
we can still look to the past to guide our future.
Immigrants, aliens, illegals, whatever nomenclature you want to use, are a double edged sword. When
people move into an area, legally or

The current cost system allocates overhead costs once a year, as a function of direct labor dollars. This
allocation strategy results in:
Inaccurate allocation due to products at various levels of automation No incentive to reduce the cost of
materials A situation where a reduction in production will result in less overhead allocated to the
respective product Lack of incentive for employees to continually reduce their costs throughout the
year as a result of the annual calculation of overhead allocation.
Assuming that the company s goal is to maximize profits, the current cost system is not an appropriate
tool for strategic planning. The ambiguity of the overhead costs per product makes it difficult to
accurately analyze the cause and effect relationships of changes and/or improvements to specific
product line.
If the cost system reported sales volume and/or price we would be able to conduct an activity analysis
to determine an appropriate cost function to determine the best cost driver for each product.
4. Manifold Recommendation Based on Current Cost System
If we assume that the 1991 products, prices, sales volumes, materials costs and overhead are
unchanged from 1990 and that there are no process improvements that would lead to a reduction in the
direct labor of a product, it can be inferred that the company s profits would be identical to those of
1990, as stated in Appendix B. However, if the same is assumed

Benefit Of Homework
Homework is often seen as a useful study tool, however it can cause more problems than solve them.
Homework adds to the already harrowing task of keeping up with grades, you have to worry about
completing classwork as well as studying for upcoming tests or projects for six classes, even seven, if
you have a 0 period. Homework adds stress, prevents students from pursuing their interests, can cause
them not to give their full attention to everything they should, makes keeping up with a social life and
having the interactions humans need impossible, all of which can add up to depression (which is
something many teens are already prone to). We go to school seven hours a day, sit in classrooms,
listening and doing work and often times worrying about everything we have to do after. Seven hours
is a lot to do everything, but especially paper work and research, so having to go home and have two
to four more hours of that to look forward to... Is not particularly comforting. All this extra work is
usually chalked up to be something that will help a student learn the topic, but if teachers are doing
their jobs to get the important points across and time is being used well in class, than it should not be
necessary. In an absence of homework students can instead spend the time usually wasted on often
rushed, under quality work, studying the way that best suits them, or participating in an activity that
will ease their stress from the long tiring days of school. I m just like

  • 2. Precambrian Era Essay The Precambrian is the name given for the first super eon of Earth s history (Mary Bagley, Accessed: 20th Aug 2016). This era itself has been recorded to be about seven eighths of the entire earth s history. This era stretches across from 4 Billion years ago up until only 543 Million years ago (Mya) which shows how large and substantial this era was. Precambrian itself refers to the time before the Cambrian period. It also refers to the entire period of time before the formation of the oldest rocks with recognisable fossils. Lately, however, it has been seen that some hard to distinguish fossils from in the Precambrian times have been found. The Precambrian Era can be split into three eras: The Hadean, the Archean and also the Proterozoic. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Life on earth began in the early Archean and fossilized organisms became far more abundant through the entirety of the Precambrian time. Three billion years ago there was no traces of oxygen in the atmosphere, this caused no life to be able to live on earth. At around 2.4 billion years, oxygen was beginning to be released in the oceans as photosynthesis began in cyanobacteria. This process caused the gas levels to slowly grow and eventually made up 1% of the earth s atmosphere at around 2 Bya. By 800 Mya, oxygen levels reached around 20% which let organisms to slowly breathe to life. This spike in oxygen also caused the earth s surface to be shielded from solar radiation. This was the start of the first unicellular organisms. The first multicelled animals started appearing in the records of fossils around 600 million years ago. Fossils found at this time were known as Ediacarans and showed a very important time of evolution for earth. Ediacara fauna was specifically named after the Ediacara hills in South Australia in which they were discovered in the early 1900 s. These organisms even predate the explosion of life forms at the beginning of the Cambrian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is a critical step because it will inform all the others regarding the look, feel, content, and over all aesthetic of the site. Given that this website is a marketing tool for VIVASEL, the target audience for the website will be the same target audience that will use the product. Phase Two, create a site map/wireframes: In this step the website will be outlined by the development team and the other stakeholders. The team will create rough images of what the different web pages will look like, functionality will be discussed, and a general design direction will be agreed upon. Additionally, any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The developers will follow the design guidelines and the wireframes developed in phase two, which were built to serve the target audience in phase one, so the completed website will be an effective tool for VIVIASEL from day one. A subsequent internal LMR review will take place during this phase which will ensure all of the website content is compliant and displayed correctly. Phase five, tracking and analytics: In this step, the completed website will have its tracking suite installed. Given that the website is based on a Joomla CMS, the best tracking suite to use is JRealTime analytics. This 3rd party plug in will integrate with the website to provide detailed tracking data for every single element. The developers will also install tracking code from Google analytics, which provides the same functionality, for consistency. Tracking is critically important to the website because it will provide relevant information that will be measured against the website s Key Performance Indicators. This data will inform all the stakeholders on how effective the website is. Phase six, testing: This is when the website will be tested by both internal employees familiar to the project, as well as outside individuals. The feedback from both groups will be compared and analyzed to determine if any significant changes to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They will just see it as a statistic. Many others though; would want to do something to stop this from happening. Problems include natural disasters, homes being taken away or destroyed, hunted for their feathers or the fur that they provide; There are many factors as to why these animals disappear but people are the number one cause as to why animals decline so rapidly in numbers. Many people know there are people who don t give a rip about animals, and there are some that are in between, and others that absolutely love animals. The problem here are the people that do not like animals at all. Trees are cut down, pollution thrown wherever, and not even once do they think about the animals that occupy these essentials. They do not think about the river that the animals need to drink out of. They do not think of the birds that live in the trees, or other animals that look to them as a food source. The thing is, these animals know when their habitat is not suitable to live in. These birds called raptors which means carry away in Latin; know when their habitat isn t suitable, which then gives a sign to other animals to find another place. Equal opportunity to participate in sports seems like a right that is natural and would be a common sense issue, but unfortunately this has not always been the case. In 1972 Congress enacted the Education Amendments of 1972, this contains Title IX which was intended to ensure that discrimination based on sex was eliminated. The area that this has had the most contentious impact is sports. Has Title IX increased women s opportunities to participate in sports during college equitably and fairly? Offering sports that fully and effectively satisfies the interests and abilities of female students. 3. Showing a history and continuing practice of expanding the sports programs for women. Schools need not meet all three, but must meet only one according to the Education Department. These three tests are what all complaints and lawsuits are judged by. They are the backbone of Title IX. With the law and the means to measure and enforce it in place all we had to do was look for results. The 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta give an indication of the impact Title IX has had on women s sports. Women athletes took home 19 of the 44 gold medals the United States won. The women who have accomplished this are the first generation of women who, from the time they were little kids, were encouraged to participate in sport. (St. George). This certainty signifies that Title IX has had a positive impact on women s sports. Another measure of the success of Title IX is the number of sports programs in the country. Lighter Blacks (especially women) were perceived to be more attractive, more intelligent, and more acceptable to the White community. Darker skinned Blacks were perceived to be the opposite. This was deposited upon the culture during the slave era. Hair texture also became an issue within the Black community, as lighter, straighter hair was perceived to be nicer, and coarse, thick hair was perceived to be bad, ugly. The afro movement in the 60 s challenged this ideology. In the 60 s, natural hair meaning coarse and thick, began to signify intelligence, Black power, and resistance to the majority culture, overall enlightenment. This image was reborn in the late 1990s. Examining the difference between Southie and Chestnut Hill you can tell which class is poor and which class is rich. Through Good People , David Lindsay Abaire argues that rich people and poor people has a different life styles. This can be seen through his use of imagery, characterization and conflict. In this play, David Lindsay Abaire uses imagery to shows what type of life style that Southie and Chestnut Hill has. Firstly, Southie has many poor people and broken things around them. For example, Abaire shows how Southie s environment looks by the narration of the play, The alley behind the Dollar store. There s a dumpster back there and a rusty chair and a door labelled Dollar store (5). Another way, Chestnut Hill has many rich people and many expensive things. For example, Abaire narrates about Mikes house in details, Lights up on a beautiful home. The living room takes up most of the space. Up and left we may see part of a foyer that leads to the front door. Doorways and corridors lead off to other parts of the house the kitchen, the dining room, maybe we see a staircase that leads up to the bedroom (105). The author went into details to show how rich Mike is. Again, Abaire is showing us that anyone from Southie will try their luck to get more money. Nation states are said to be the ideal regime: a system by the people, for the people. However, things in theories do not always work out in practice. In this paper, I will explore concepts regarding self determination through its definitions, origins, theories, and practices, following with a number of complications that restrict practical use and potential reasons of why the idea of self determination may be impractical to use on a global scale. What is national self determination and where did it originate? In order to answer this critical question, one must understand the concepts of nations, states, and nation states. The two terms nations and states are often used as synonyms, when in fact, they are two completely distinct concepts. As introduced in our text, Introduction to politics and government, by Eric Mintz, David Close, Osvaldo Croci (2016), a state is defined as an independent, self governing political community that has the power to create rules that are binding on the population (p. 26). This concept is portrayed in many different novels from past generations, it is shown how women had to live by societies will or else they would be out casted and left in isolation. They were discredited, such as their help during the first Great War and described unfavorably by men in literature and even some women in society. To society women were to be homemakers, while the men were to do all the hard labor and provide food for the family. Literature was a place where the divide was shown clearly. Many male writers describe the female gender as weak willed and oblivious to the world around them. Men would write women as fanciful and that they were made to please men. This is not the case when it came to women writers, women would describe women as strong and in a positive favor. Women always believed that with the right education they would be at an equal level to their male counter parts. When it comes to a man writing about women they tend to be harsh and judgmental towards women, describing them as foolish and ignorant to the world around them. During the twentieth century ideas of women s rights were appearing but that did not stop the discrimination of women. The latter is true for Bill Cosby. After Hannibal Burress called Cosby a rapist in a comedy act in October 2014, several women s stories came to national attention. Barbara Bowman wrote an essay, about her experience with Bill Cosby for Washington Post online on November 13th, 2014. She explains how the relationship started off harmlessly. The five movements of Beethoven s Symphony No. 6 Pastorale draw listeners in with a quick, but leisurely tempo and rich developed movements. The symphony seemingly flows and fits the titles beautifully. It is easy to paint a picture of a noble countryside, nature, and all the activities it entails. Beethoven s Piano Concerto No.5 Emperor is a three part traditional concerto, an Allegro, Adagio, and the Rondo. This concerto was named Emperor because of the powerful themes and heroic note of the composition (www.all about beethoven.com/concerto5.html). The opening of the concerto brings a main theme introduced by a solo piano with the full orchestra providing a dramatic presence of several chords. The piano flourishes grow in length until reaching a cadenza after the third time. The full orchestra joins in and carries the theme into the full exposition. The theme is bold with a pleasant interjection of a second subject that seems to tiptoe through the movement. The orchestra stays in the tonic key as the piano modulates and reaches a wide variety of tones as the scales are worked. The development of the movement effectively flips the lead. The orchestra now leads and the piano accompanies. The main theme rhythm is reinforced by a powerful bassoon. The coda is lead by horns and joined by the rest of the orchestra to a thrilling close. Michael Crichton a film producer, critic and author of Patenting Life, earned his degree from Harvard Medical School, and author John E. Calfee a resident scholar of American Enterprise Institution and economist author of Decoding the Use of Gene Patents both share their views on gene patents. Crichton and Calfee share similarities on the research itself, but do not share the same ideas on whether or not gene patents put a halt on research, and paying a royalty to study the gene. • 32. Differences Between Fringe Banks And One Traditional... In this paper, I will explain my experience with three fringe banks and one traditional commercial bank. For fringe banking, I will be analyzing Money Mart, Xtra Cash and Loan Express Payday Advance and for the traditional commercial bank, I will be investigating the Royal Bank of Canada. For the tradtional bank I will be analyzing the differences in credit lines. Firstly I will look at the two key differences between Fringe banks and tradational banks. One key difference between Fringe banks and traditional banks is that Fringe banks do not provide the full finanical services that banks offer. This is due to the fact Fringe banks do have large revenues to cover the cost of operation. This lack of large revuene makes it so that customers have to pay a higer interest rate to compensate for the operational costs. Essentially the interest rate will be higher in order to cover for the cost of borrowing the loans. This is not seen in banks as they have large revenues to compensate for those costs. A second difference between Frige banks and the commercial banks is the credit score. Commerical banks require a 670 credit score while fringe banks need a 540 credit score. This can be attributed to the types of customers the respective types of banks are looking to attract. Fringe banks generally work with people who are risky while banks work with people who are not risky. Fringe banks work with risky clintile mailinly by helping them to achieve the payment by allowing them to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Supraspinatus Tendonitis Essay Supraspinatus tendonitis typically occurs when there is an impingement of the supraspinatus muscle of the shoulder joint between the acromion as it passes by the acromion and humerus head. In response, the supraspinatus tendon and the contiguous peritendinous soft tissues become inflamed. The supraspinatus is a muscle located in the supraspinatus fossa of the scapula located in the shoulder and is largely affected by supraspinatus tendonitis. The supraspinatus allows for the abduction of the shoulder and its insertion is the greater tuberosity of the humerus. Tendonitis is the inflammation of a tendon and commonly occurs in the elbows, knees, and shoulders. Therefore, supraspinatus tendonitis is the inflammation of the supraspinatus. Ever since the Great Recession of the late 2000s, millions of people have been out of a job. According to a chart on the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, a federally managed website, there are still large amounts of unemployed people in some states: Many states in the U.S. still have an unemployment rate of over five percent ( Unemployment ). The United States needs to create more jobs. The economy is not in its best shape due to the multitude of job cuts in the U.S. workforce. There are many reasons that have contributed to the catastrophe of America s workforce, but there are also plenty of solutions. The United States economy has too few of jobs to satisfy the global demand, but there are many strategies involving both business and government that can solve this problem. Extended unemployment checks are a reason why there are fewer jobs in the U.S. then there should be. Many people decide to not get employed or give up working completely because they realize that the U.S. government gives free checks to them for simply being unemployed. The unemployment program funded by the government, in whole, is generally not a bad thing. The idea of this program is to help people struggling to find a job until they can support themselves. It was relatable because as humans, we are guilty of cognitive dissonance and we try to reduce the dissonance to feel safe about our actions or beliefs. Personally, I go through cognitive dissonance many times in my daily routine. My life consists of working out daily, eating healthy, and caring for my three children, but like every human being I have a bad habit. Coffee is my life, and every morning I go through this process where I don t know if I should drink a cup or not. I know the consequences of drinking coffee I get bad migraines after a cup and get jittery. Then I justify my behavior by telling myself that I don t drink coffee every day and it s not all bad theirs benefits to it that keeps me awake to get everything done. I have not yet resolved this, but I do feel guilty after a cup of coffee. The story that captivated me was the doomsday cult that Leon Festinger studied. The people in this community had strong beliefs that the world would end by a great flood. These people literally left their possession s, jobs, and just in general their life all because of this prophecy. When the leader and her followers realized that the prophecy failed, they didn t accept their mistake instead they justified. The followers believed the reason they were apparently spared was because of their strong faith and prayers. Without these forces, Saint Domingue, the island with the largest sugar production, and the rest of the Caribbean, would face the threat of losing a profitable industry. By contrast, the colonies were culturally and ethnically plural. Rather than ?estates,? the colonies,...had ?castes?, whites, free persons of color, and the slaves (Knight 203). While the black slaves formed about 80 percent of the population on the island of Saint Domingue, the upper strata was divided between color and class. The population of Saint Domingue at the time was classified into three main categories. Each main category was then subdivided. The whites were divided between the gran blancs and the petit blancs; the free blacks were usually referred to as the gens de couleur; and the slaves were called affranchis. Another factor which must be understood before explaining the events that took place before, during, and after the revolution is the general geography of the island itself. This man has created a new life, he is now an alien in the land of freedom and prosperity. Illegal immigration comes into play when people do not follow the guidelines during the immigration process. This raises the question, just how do undocumented immigrants affect the US, politically, socially, and economically? Many immigrants are currently coming to the US illegally are from Latin America. Back in the late 1800 s we had a different type of immigration problems with the Chinese. On May 6, 1882 president Chester A. One thing that was similar between the two times were their motives for coming: money. Although 2016 is different than 1882, we can still look to the past to guide our future. The current cost system allocates overhead costs once a year, as a function of direct labor dollars. This allocation strategy results in: Inaccurate allocation due to products at various levels of automation No incentive to reduce the cost of materials A situation where a reduction in production will result in less overhead allocated to the respective product Lack of incentive for employees to continually reduce their costs throughout the year as a result of the annual calculation of overhead allocation. Assuming that the company s goal is to maximize profits, the current cost system is not an appropriate tool for strategic planning. The ambiguity of the overhead costs per product makes it difficult to accurately analyze the cause and effect relationships of changes and/or improvements to specific product line. Homework adds to the already harrowing task of keeping up with grades, you have to worry about completing classwork as well as studying for upcoming tests or projects for six classes, even seven, if you have a 0 period. Homework adds stress, prevents students from pursuing their interests, can cause them not to give their full attention to everything they should, makes keeping up with a social life and having the interactions humans need impossible, all of which can add up to depression (which is something many teens are already prone to).
