King James Version New Living Translation
In reading the King James Version, New American bible, and new living translation, each of these
translations in my opinion show no significant difference in reading Genesis 2. Each translation gives
a good description of how God created the heavens and the earth and explaining the Sabbath.
Although each translation is clear and understandable, I believe the King James Version is more
transparent to those who will read it. These translations do not make a difference in understanding of
the true exegesis. The translations are conveying the same thing but just using different wording. All
of these versions are translated from different sources and some words might transfer over to different
meaning. I think it would matter if these translations

Zain Africa International BV S Acquisition by Bharti Airtel
Introduction
Bharti Airtel Limited was very keen to enter the African markets and the organization took
considerable time to find an indigenous partner who was willing to facilitate its entry into African
territory. Having previously gone through unsuccessful rounds of negotiations with MTN Group
Limited, one could say that when Bharti Airtel identified Zain Africa as a potential target for
acquisition, it was probably ready to walk an extra mile to see the deal through. An offer of US$10.7

We expect special tariff/data plans for connecting Indians in India and Africa, like those offered
previously for the Middle East and USA, considering increased migration from India to Africa and
increasing competition in Africa for greater share of the huge subscriber base.
As the next step, Bharti needs to negotiate a venture like the Indus Towers with Vodafone and MTN to
attain targeted EBITDA margins.

How Does Identity Influence June s Sexual Identity
June s growing up trying to find some clues of his current impulsive urges and automatic thinking, but
we did not touch on the sexual identity part because it was not the main concern at that time. Sexual
identity starts its formation at a young age and continues to change or solid with the individual s
development. I do not know exactly when and what influences June s sexual identity, but I wonder If
we could explore or even talk about that, maybe we could have something new discovers and gain a
deeper understanding of June s own identity in order to answer the questions: who is he? What are the
crucial factors influencing his identity? How do his gender identity and sexual orientation define him?
And how does his sexual identity impact his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

getting to know him better. When I combine all his information together, the bigger portfolio makes

June s traits on hand, I think traits factors model would be an appropriate model because it
concentrates on identifying the characteristics of the individual s traits in order to match the factors
within the work environmentso that hopefully June can find a job that is most closely aligned with his

Using Art For A Message
Hannah Tierney
18 November 2016
Using Art to Send a Message
For centuries people have used art as a way to express the political views, or used artistic movements
to express certain ideals. This can be seen in the idealized art of the Ancient Greeks, who strived to
perfect the balance between man and nature, and portray harmony, balance, and democracy. In Nazi
Germany, Hitler showcased art that was un German, anything reflecting Jewish or communist
ideology, was displayed in the Degenerate art show. This movement was used as propaganda; Hitler
showed the public all the art that was not German. Today, many artists mock the commercialization of
the art world and society itself using pop art and othrr consumer trends in their work.
In Ancient Greece, philosophy and ideology shaped the views of the people living in the first
democratic state. The Greeks never established a single nation; instead, they lived in city states, and
democracy began in Polis, later known as Athens. In Athens, artists strived to perfect their work and
align it to the beliefs of the philosopher Pythagoras of Samos, who believed everything was based on
mathematics and purification . The Ancient Greeks used their art to promote political, military, and
religious ideology, depicting battle their victorious battles as though they were fought by the gods. The
art of Ancient Greece was centered around religion and perfecting the balance between man, nature,
and the divine.
This mentality led to the

Film Analysis Of A Classic Comedy In The Great Race
A genre of film that became relevant in the end of the 20th century and never lost popularity is the
comedy. With so many variations and versions of this movie type, such as slapstick and romance, it s
no wonder why so many people enjoy them. A classic comedy that came out in 1965, The Great Race
directed by Blake Edwards, utilizes both of these styles in a way that makes the film exciting and
extremely funny to watch. In the movie, a land race is planed from New York to Paris, with the two
main competitors being the heroic Great Leslie and the evil Professor Fate. Throughout the film,
Professor Fate s sidekick attempts to sabotage other competitors in the race while The Great Leslie
teams up with Maggie DuBois. The Great Race utilizes comedy styles perfectly, approaches the Battle
of the Sexes quite well, and also has some scenes that pushed the pushed the rules of the production
code. With so many examples of it, The Great Race is the epitome of a slapstick comedy and also has
great characteristics of a romance. The film is filled with over exaggerated facial expressions and
physical actions, as shown in the bar room brawl scene. In this scene, everyone starts to fist fight,
bodies are flying across the set, and tables and chairs are constantly being destroyed. The film also
possesses some romantic scenes, such as at the end of the race when Leslie reveals his love for
Maggie and they kiss. However, throughout the entire race there is a theme of Maggie arguing with

The Controversy Over New Airport Security Measures Essay
The country s recently heightened airport security measures
have become a source of controversy and debate across the
Nation. Due to a recent attempted act of terrorism, where a man
on an international flight to Detroit attempted to blow up the
plane using a bomb, the department of homeland security has taken
new measures to ensure national security in the form of new high
tech full body scans and pat down procedures in airports. The new
body scanning machines create images of people without their
clothing, and the new pat down procedure is generally considered
too personal. Many people feel that the new airport security

On the other side of the argument, the TSA (Transportation

security, than with individual rights. They argue that adopting
a full body pat down procedure helps detect hidden and dangerous

They help to make terrorist attacks more difficult. Former

How Did Ww2 Affect Canada
The Second World War was the largest and most violent war to date. With an estimated 50 80 million
deaths and more than 50% civilian casualties, this makes WWII one of the deadliest wars in human
history. WWII was a turning point for Canada and its role in International conflict. Canada proved
itself a strong force in battle, and put on a unified front along with the other Allied powers. WWII also
caused some harmful effects for Canada such as loss of many Canadian lives and a terrible defeat
during the battle of Dieppe.
World War Two was the first time that Canada was able to decide as a country whether or not to join
the war, and it was conscription free until 1944. Canada s military grew substantially during WWII
and supplied many men with jobs following the Great Depression. Women also played a bigger role in
WWII and took over many jobs from men working in factories, some even got to work on navy ships
and serve alongside men in the war. Canada showed a significant amount of strength in battle, whether

the other members of the Allied powers planned to attack the port of Dieppe. This was an extremely

An American By Thomas Friedman Analysis
What is an American? Thomas Friedman, Steven Critchley, and other say that America is falling, we
are all violent animals. Yes. As Americans, we fight, we bully, we have nasty arguments, because we
hold a different opinion or said something slightly offensive. We find it easier to raise our fist than to
raise our dignity and peacefully talk or walk away. There are cases of violent acts all over the news,
movies, music, TV, and social media. Violence is a problem within our commutes, however violence
is not what makes an American or what defines America. It is our ability to come together in the face
of adversity, in our darkest hour, that moment when everyone expects us to be out of the count, we
pick each other up and fight back. For that we as Americans are big brothers we fight or bully each
other but when someone else threatens or harms our fellow Americans we stand up and do everything
in our power to make amends. No matter if it s a person, another country, or mother nature.

Angela s Ashes-Historical Essay
Is life writing really an accurate representation of past events? Hello everyone and welcome to the
2017 literary convention, I am your keynote speaker Angus Topp and today I will be discussing why
life writing is a very inaccurate way of representing past events. Angela s Ashes by Frank McCourt is
an autobiography of McCourt s life from when he was born to the age of 19, at this time they were in
great deprivation. McCourt s depiction of Limerick and it s locals are shown as a squalid town with
wrongly accusing one local of watching over him. McCourts memory would also not be able to
remember many delicate details such as conversations and exact memories as the year difference was

This is evident by Paddy Malone, who was featured on the books original covers is McCourt s most
furious detractors but also grew up in the lanes of Limerick. According to Malone, the McCourt s
family lived in a home with green lawn and they were never extremely poor. As described in the book,
Limerick during the 1930 s to 1940 s was described in all its grittiness. The family lived in a run
down, neglected house with unpaved lane of houses that flood regularly. The McCourt s family is
forced to live like this due to the father s alcoholism. The father would always spend the welfare
payments before Angela could get her hands on it to feed their starving children. However Malone s
opinion counteracts the book s description of the family and the home they lived in. Evidence *Insert

Without anyone to contest a story it would be 100% believable however when Malone s side of the
story is told McCourt is left with quite a few holes in his plot. This further pushes the idea of how
inaccurate life writing really is. Paragraph 3:
McCourt tends to position the view of the catholic church in a negative way as he is referring back to
the church for answers on what is wrong and right and to confess on many

The Problem Of Police Brutality
Police brutality remains one of the most controversial, as well as the most serious human rights
violations in the United States. In the past year or we have heard, read, or witnessed unjustified
shootings, severe beatings, fatal chokings, and rough treatment which have all contributed to the ever
present problem of police brutality in America. Police are the ones that set an image towards the
society so that people can actually follow them and think they are doing the right thing, however it is a
really disturbing matter knowing that police does racial profiling especially compared to whites and
blacks. And therefore, this research paper is about police will most likely be more crucial to blacks
compare to whites and this is known as racial profiling. Therefore, this brings fourth the question, are
our officers of law really doing their job?
Police brutality has been and continues to be a major concern in society. Most of these incidents go un
reported or un noticed. Through research, we seek to identify the causes of police brutality, and what
we can possibly do to end it, or in the hopes that it brings awareness. While doing research on police
brutality, I have observed countless online journal articles. These articles are written by professional
analysts that specialize in investigating specific incidents involving police misconduct. The term
police brutality is commonly used very loosely to fit all forms of police misconduct. The excessive

`` The Knight s Tale `` For My Final Assignment
Author s Note The fact that nowadays Chaucer is studied, discussed, and read means that his works
are still interesting for modern readers. They are great pieces that shaped literature as we know it
today. However, apart from that, The Canterbury Tales written in the 14th century catches readers
attention now because it is a collection of brilliant stories with plots so old that they seem very fresh
and extraordinary in a stream of modern literature. Still, as we perfectly understand, social realities,
beliefs, values, and tastes change and something in The Canterbury Tales have probably got outdated
since the 14th century. Due to this reason, I decided to modernize The Knight s Tale for my final
assignment. My main concern about this text is that it does not adequately reflect social and gender
roles. It is extremely one sided and focused mostly on men. Women in it are represented, but they are
passive, voiceless, and objectified. In my story, I have tried to make both women and men whole
persons with their will, ambitions, and path. The Knight s Tale There was a man who was called

Advertisement Analysis Essay Throughout our lives, we re constantly coming upon advertisements.
As you watch TV, listen to the radio, or scroll up and down on social media you re more than likely to
come upon advertisements that involve athletics. Sports and ads are two things that most likely could
be heard or seen. Most people relate to these as well. Normally, an advertisements purpose is to give
away a message as well as promote what they are wanting you to buy. My first advertisement is a
Nike commercial. It is called This Is Us . It is promoting their Nike clothing products. The audience of
this ad is targeted towards women athletes. It talks about how girls aren t just for the stereotypical
things people picturing them doing. For example, they say we have delicate hands or how we re just
supposed to smile pretty and not be heard. The implied argument is that girls can accomplish things
just like men can. This advertisement shows women can do more than what has been expected of them
since the olden days. This ad helps to persuade the people watching because it shows many different
parts of what people put us out to be, and what girls really can be. For example, in this ad one of the
first parts shown is a woman dressed up, it says you know us, we smile pretty . It then goes to show
that same girl standing up and smiling for the camera and training in the gym for a boxing match. The
next part shows a woman using her hands to cook she says, our hands are fine

Marketing Options, And Apply For Various Licenses And Permits
After completing high school in Nigeria, I immigrated with my siblings to the United States in the fall
of 2003. While the opportunity to reunite with our mother was a momentous one, our joy will be
muted a few weeks later when we realized the daunting task that laid ahead: a single parent taking
care of five children alone would be no easy feat! Even as she picked up more shifts at the nursing
home where she worked, the cost of college tuition and other essentials had us barely getting by. The
next summer, we embarked on the lofty goal of opening a home healthcare business, one that would
the sustain the family and still allow her spend time with my siblings and me. Barely 17, I found
myself in charge of creating the business policies and procedures to meet established state and other
health organizations standards. Each evening after completing my college work, I would draft the
business guidelines, explore marketing options, and apply for various licenses and permits. 18 months
later, it seemed that all the hard work and patience had paid off our business had passed a rigorous
state inspection. Running a healthcare business was challenging, but due to our hard work and ability
to put the needs of our patients first, the business thrived. More importantly, this experience made me
yearn for a more intimate relationship with medicine. Rather than experience healthcare via the lens of
a business, I wanted to be the one caring for the patient. I completed a degree in

Donaldson s Beowulf Essay
Donaldson s Beowulf
Fate often saves an undoomed man when his courage is good
Beowulf (Donaldson, 12)
The passage that I analyzed spans the action when Beowulf returns to the halls of Heorot after a harsh
battle with Grendel s mother. He returns to king Hrothgar in the great hall of Heorot to say that he has
successfully completed his boast and killed Grendel s mother. Beowulf states that it has been a very
difficult underwater battle and that he has barely escaped with his life, The fight would have been
ended straightway if God had not guarded me (Donaldson, 29). Beowulf mentions this due to the fact
that the sword given to him by Unferth, called Hrunting, was powerless against Grendel s Mother.

During the festivities celebrating Beowulf s victory the King predicts that Beowulf will become the
protector of the Geats until old age takes him and that he will be one of their greatest kings.
Christian and Pagan Elements
(p 28 31)
GRAPH The many references to God in the pages (28 31) of Beowulf reflect Christian beliefs as
opposed to pagan ones. In pagan worship, nature takes the place of God along with the belief that
inanimate objects contain spirits. The Geats would refer to Grendel and his mother as God s enemy
and descendants of Cain. Cain is a biblical reference to the story of Cain and Abel. In this story, Cain
slays his brother Abel and consequently, is banished by God for all of eternity. Because of his role as
the first murderer, Cain is thought to be the father of all monsters.
Another example of Christianity which is evident in Beowulf is the fact that the eye for an eye belief
is practiced. During the second raid of Heorot by Grendel s mother, a very close friend of King
Hrothgar and great warrior named Aeschere is murdered. The monster, not abiding by the laws of the
time, is subject to the eye for an eye belief and then has to be murdered

Territorial Disputes Within The South China Sea
Country: Netherlands

Topic: Territorial Disputes in the South China Sea
Background Following the cessation of the Cold War, a massive territorial dispute erupted over two
island chains in the South China Sea (SCS), the Paracels and the Spratleys. Those nations disputing
their rightful ownership include China, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, and Taiwan. The
source of the conflict in this area stems from the geographical location and the natural resources to be
gained through their ownership. According to the World Bank, the sea contains approximately 900
trillion cubic feet of natural gas and seven billion barrels of oil. That roughly equates to the amount of
energy needed to power the entire world for an entire year. Furthermore, the sea is a center for fishing

John Hus Essay
John Hus was born in Husinec, an area of the modern day Czech Republic. He joined the priesthood in
order to escape poverty, and was eventually the preacher at one of the most popular church s in
Prague. Hus was inspired by the writings of John Wycliffe, as well as many of his colleagues at the
University of Prague, and this caused a major split between the Czech s and Germans who studied at
the university. Hus and his faction of Bohemians wanted to expand the power of church councils, and
decrease the power of the Pope, as well as focus on a moral reform of the clergy, due to the abuses of
power that were beginning to take place. Hus focused his teachings and sermons on the Scriptures,
similar to how John Wycliffe had. Due to the effects ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without their contributions towards idea of reformation, what people see today could be a lot
different. However, it was not just those two men who gave birth to a new age of reasoning and
thought. Men such as Petrarch founded a completely different school of thought than what Wycliffe
and Hus had started with their dissentions. Petrarch delved into the lost classics, literature of antiquity,
and rediscovered many things that were lost when Rome fell in the 5th century. He is considered the
founder of Humanism, a school of thought that allowed for the return of the pagan classics and the
philosophy of secularism. Above all things Humanism is considered the assertion of a man or woman
s personal independence and expression. The idea that Humanism was one of the major reasons for the
causes of the reformation is one that is not often put forth. However, if Humanism is broken down into
its simplest form, it is the idea that a man can challenge what he sees before him, and indulge in
knowledge outside the scripture, however much John Hus and Wycliffe suffered for the people s right
to follow the Scripture. Because of the beliefs of Petrarch, and his rediscovery of the lost classics,
people were able to gravitate away from the Scripture that had dominated their lives and dictated how

The Punishment Of A Criminal
The many different philosophies behind the punishment of a criminal include just about every moral
justification that crosses a human being s mind. The ideology behind philosophies of punishment in
the criminal justice system has mainly derived from the globally understood An eye for an eye, a tooth
for a tooth from the Old Testament and the cliché The punishment must fit the crime concerning
retributive punishment. Both of these statements involve retributive punishment. This is because most
of the criminal justice systems throughout the world have been shaped by this philosophy for
centuries. However, there are many more philosophies that produce respectable arguments when
concerning the punishment of a criminal. The philosophies covered in this paper will be the
Retributive Justification, the Utilitarian Justification, and the Deterrence method of justification.
The Retributive Justification involves the highly debated concept of revenge. Simply put, if a crime is
committed then punishment should provide the offender with what they deserve . The retributive
justification involves the mindset of society and its determination of the punishment for specific
crimes. For example, a person could get convicted of drug trafficking and another could get convicted
of attempted murder. Both of these people could end up serving the same amount of time behind bars
due to specific circumstances such as criminal history. The punishment does not seem to fit the crime

An Analysis Of Lancelot s Abandonment Of The Epic

History 101
June 11 2015
Abandonment of the Epic The compilation of Chretien de Troyes Arthurian Romances effectively
portrays various themes previously unexplored in the epic genre that eventually led to the creation of
Lancelot in The Knight of the Cart and later Perceval in his unfinished work, The Story of the Grail .
Lancelot becomes the good example of romantic mythology through his internal struggles while still
remaining loyal to his liege. The early epics contain many common themes and morals despite having
been found throughout different civilizations such as the Old English Beowulf, the Greek works of
The Odyssey and The Iliad by Homer, and the ancient Mesopotamian Epic of Gilgamesh. In ... Show

Lancelot has defining human characteristics that separate him from the deified accounts of epic poem
protagonists, and this shift to vulnerability created a new writing style that reflected the times as
Europe was slowly becoming less centralized. Since the innocent days of Perceval s youth, he had
wanted to become a knight after recklessly chasing after a few with a javelin, and this tale of maturity
is similar to the works of Dickens and other tales of growing up . The tragic Greek hero or man of
myth portrayed in the epic tales that became immediate folklore for nations across the globe was no
more. Every country had its great epic hero, but the rise of romantic writings led to each country being
able to rediscover itself through a different set of eyes. Perceval and Lancelot could never have been
epic heroes, and the actions of Perceval and Lancelot could never be portrayed in an epic poem
without seeming humorous. Oedipus would never ride in the back of a pillory cart to reach his
destination, and Lancelot would never find himself in a situation where he has to kill his own father
and wed his mother. It is evident that the early romantic works take heavy influence from epic poetry
as the characters may seem to be chivalrous and intimidating at first, but unlike the protagonists of

Louisiana Purchase Dbq Analysis
During the early 1800s, the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, bought the
Louisiana Territory. This acquired piece of land came to be known as the Louisiana Purchase. The
territory consisted of various Native Indian tribes which Jefferson sent Lewis and Clark to explore.
Based on the provided documents, the conclusion that can be made is that Lewis and Clark were not
respectful to the Native Americans because not only did they kill members of their tribe, but they
wiped out their culture as a whole. In document A, Thomas Jefferson, the current President at the time,
sent a letter to Meriwether Lewis with specific instructions on how to approach the Native Indians
which was in a placatory and friendly fashion (Document A).

High School Differences
How Differences in Schooling Affect Students The high school education system will be different
wherever one lives, but that should not affect how much a student learns. High schools not only need
to prepare us for college, but also for work outside of college. This is not the case in many places,
however. When taking a look at the American and German high school education systems there are
many differences and the outcomes are different because of those differences. The German high
school education system is better because of how it is set up and the American high school education
system is worse because it is not taken as seriously. In Germany, their education is taken very
seriously and is very different from what we know in America. After they graduate from elementary
school at age 10, German students have three schools to pick from which is considered their high
school. At that time, they must select from three different secondary school curricula, and their future
educational and career decisions are based on that election (Peak and Matthes 1). The three different
schools they have to choose from are Gymnasium (academic high school), Realschule (secondary
school), and Hauptschule (intermediate school). In Germany the Gymnasium school is considered to
be our high school. Students attend from ages 10 to 16, and upon graduation, are qualified for a three
year apprenticeship in a skilled labor craft (Peak and Matthes 2). After they attend one of those

Essay Totalitarian Agriculture
Totalitarian Agriculture The idea of Totalitarian Agriculture is scary. Especially considering the fact
that it is the exact type of agriculture that is being used in every civilization except for the remaining
tribal peoples of the world. I will try to define Totalitarian Agriculture here: According to an ethics,
followed by every sort of creature within the community of life, sharks as well as sheep, killer bees as
well as butterflies, you may compete to the full extent of your capabilities, but you may not hunt down
your competitors or destroy their food or deny them access to food. In other words, you may compete,
but you may not wage war. This ethics is violated at every point by practitioners of totalitarian ...

Why totalitarian agriculture? You got me. It is really hard to knock Totalitarian Agriculture since it is
the foundation of our culture and the sustenance of our lives. If Totalitarian Agriculture were to
disappear tomorrow, then our culture would be obliterated by starvation. This is not so for the
remaining tribal peoples of the world. They are fully well capable of surviving on their own just the
same as humans have been since there were humans. Thinking about this further made me think about
the reasons for adopting this practice. Our culture practices working to grow and produce food,
locking it up, and then forcing people to pay to get it. before the agricultural revolution 10,000 years
ago, humans had been living successfully as hunter gatherers for a hundred thousand years, so asked
myself what was the reason for this sudden mind change to the practice of Totalitarian Agriculture?
One answer is due to the vast amounts of food surpluses that are created with totalitarian agriculture.
This is part of the answer to the next reason for totalitarian agriculture, which is power and expansion.
The founders of totalitarian agriculture thought that their way to live was the one right way for all
humans to live. These vast surpluses of food enabled this culture to expand into surrounding territories
near the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and use force to take the land from tribal peoples. So now, the
first generations of our culture putting

Solar Modulation Of Galactic Cosmic Rays
Solar modulation of galactic cosmic rays (GCR) has been a subject of intense research, especially to
assess the continuously changing behaviour of the sun and its influence on cosmic rays. This
modulation of GCR intensity associated with ~11 year solar activity cycle has been studied from past
several decades (e.g., Forbush, 1954; Burlaga et al., 1985; Venkatesan and Badruddin, 1990; Storini et
al., 1995; Sabbah and Rybansky, 2006; Kudela, 2009; Ahluwalia et al., 2010; Heber, 2013;
Chowdhury, Kudela, and Dwivedi, 2013; and references therein). The long term GCR modulation
shows ~22 year cycle related to the solar magnetic cycle as the solar polarity reverses near solar
maximum of very activity cycle; the polarity dependant effects on cosmic rays have also been an area
of active research (e.g., Jokipii, Levy, and Hubbard, 1977; Potgieter and Moraal, 1985; Smith and
Thomas, 1986; Cliver and Ling, 2001; Kota 2013; Potgieter, 2014; Laurenza et al., 2014; Potgieter et
al., 2014; Thomas, Owens, and Lockwood, 2014; Thomas et al., 2014; and references therein).
The ~11/~22 year GCR intensity modulation in anti phase with solar activity shows some time lag.
This time lag has been observed to vary from solar cycle to cycle (odd/even cycle) and polarity epoch
to epoch (positive/negative epoch) (e.g., Mavromichalaki, Belehaki, and Rafois, 1998; Kane, 2003;

Fryd Statue Of Freedom Summary
Fryd critics issues in public art, as well as an analysis in the historical developments in public art in
America. He interprets the art of the United States Capital as an ideological tool for promotion of the
nineteen century American expansionist polices and displacement of Native Americans from the land.
But also, he explains how the Statue of Freedom, and the bronze statue atop the U.S Capital dome in

First Fryd knowledges the secretary of war s rejection of the liberty cap. As Fryd states, However, for

The Thin Line Between Love And Hate Essay
The Thin Line Between Love and Hate Only the dead have seen the end of war. Plato. Plato was a
philosopher in Classical Greece and the founder of the Academy in Athens, the first institution of
higher learning in the Western world. War is nothing new, throughout history we have experienced
over hundreds of wars with more in the future. For every war requires soldiers to fight for what they
believe in. In most cases the soldiers are on a mission to fight the enemy for their country. Fighting is
common between individuals because conflict is inevitable. It can try to be avoided, but as a nation,
we can never eliminate it.The way to manage conflict and reduce the damage is less hate and more
love. The overall goal of the soldiers is to fight for the interest of the country which is not peace but
power. The power is sent to bring peace, once everyone is continent peace will appear. Conflict exists
because there is always someone to fight, whether that be in gang or drug wars, or more importantly
with politics and war between nations. There will always be a fight to win what someone wants, which
can flare war. Furthermore, war is a state of conflict between different groups that potentially end with
death. The action of fighting is used for many untold reasons, none of which are worth fighting for.
However, if people could learn how to use their words more effectively, less fighting would take
place. War is like a loop it never stops, it continues to go round and round

strategy one will often find the name Michael Eugene Porter. His books, models, frameworks and
theories are often seen as basics in the field of strategy. His most significant and popular framework is
the five forces analysis (Porter, 1980). According to Whittington (1993), Porter is placed within the
classic approach of strategy. In total he introduces four perspectives which are the classic, the
evolutionary, the processual and the systemic. He argues that each perspective had an identifiable
decade in which it was dominant. Accordingly, the classic perspective is placed in a timeframe starting
at 1960. The main intention in the classic perspective is the maximizing return on investment. Besides

London Is The Most Eclectic Megalopolis Of The West
Unusually, I was a late subscriber to the idea of observing deeply into the capital s wonders; London is
possibly the most eclectic megalopolis of the West, it stirs ambition like no other place, in some
professional sectors it s like swimming against the tide if you re not registered in London. Realistically
for me, it probably was six years ago, when I took note of what London urbanity offers, before then, I
was probably too busy, fatigued and self orientated to allow London a laborious thought in the early

A Research Study On The Social Sciences
The Social Sciences consist of a variety of disciplines that aim to understand the behaviour,
interactions and relationships between individuals and society. Social scientists conduct research in
order to gain a deeper insight into the factors that affect individuals. They do so by using systematic
methods of investigation that allow them to analyse and interpret their findings, and thus create a new
theory of knowledge or expand upon the existing knowledge of a theory (Giddens Sutton, 2013).
Researchers may use a variety of processes that provide a solid and coherent structure to their research
that ensures its validity and reliability. Choosing the right process will aid the researcher in better
understanding the area of research and thus may allow them to apply their findings to the workings of
the wider social world.

DELEGATION AND DECENTRALIZATION
Advantages and Disadvantages of Decentralization
In an organization, centralized way of making a decision entails less autonomy to everyone except the
central leadership. In contrast, decentralization involves delegation of responsibility and the associated
decision making powers across various levels in the organization. Let us discover the pros and cons of
this concept.
A central command structure derives from an autocratic style of management. Autocracy is not
necessarily an intention and could be incidental. For example, typically start ups and business that
have just been founded are naturally autocratic with the founding members primarily running the

The adoption of organizational standards and best practices is also facilitated by a decentralized setup.
Transparency in process ensures that it is easy for the various local teams to emulate and adopt the
methods and processes that brought success to a team located elsewhere.
One of the major advantages of decentralized way of taking decisions is witnessed during a sudden
change in the local business environment such as the onset of recession or currency devaluation, etc.
Businesses are able to respond and adapt quickly to these changes when authority is decentralized.
Retail businesses like Walmart and hotel chains often benefit from having a decentralized style of
management. Businesses, where quick decisions amidst fast paced changes in environment are the
order of the day, stand to benefit from decentralization.
Disadvantages of Decentralization
Too much emphasis on localized way of taking decisions may end up blurring the bigger picture. As
you go down the corporate ladder, employees seem to lose sight of the organizational vision.

King James Version New Living Translation In reading the King James Version, New American bible, and new living translation, each of these translations in my opinion show no significant difference in reading Genesis 2. Each translation gives a good description of how God created the heavens and the earth and explaining the Sabbath. Although each translation is clear and understandable, I believe the King James Version is more transparent to those who will read it. These translations do not make a difference in understanding of the true exegesis. The translations are conveying the same thing but just using different wording. All of these versions are translated from different sources and some words might transfer over to different meaning. I think it would matter if these translations ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Using Art For A Message Hannah Tierney 18 November 2016 Using Art to Send a Message For centuries people have used art as a way to express the political views, or used artistic movements to express certain ideals. This can be seen in the idealized art of the Ancient Greeks, who strived to perfect the balance between man and nature, and portray harmony, balance, and democracy. In Nazi Germany, Hitler showcased art that was un German, anything reflecting Jewish or communist ideology, was displayed in the Degenerate art show. This movement was used as propaganda; Hitler showed the public all the art that was not German. Today, many artists mock the commercialization of the art world and society itself using pop art and othrr consumer trends in their work. In Ancient Greece, philosophy and ideology shaped the views of the people living in the first democratic state. The Greeks never established a single nation; instead, they lived in city states, and democracy began in Polis, later known as Athens. In Athens, artists strived to perfect their work and align it to the beliefs of the philosopher Pythagoras of Samos, who believed everything was based on mathematics and purification . With so many examples of it, The Great Race is the epitome of a slapstick comedy and also has great characteristics of a romance. The film is filled with over exaggerated facial expressions and physical actions, as shown in the bar room brawl scene. In this scene, everyone starts to fist fight, bodies are flying across the set, and tables and chairs are constantly being destroyed. With an estimated 50 80 million deaths and more than 50% civilian casualties, this makes WWII one of the deadliest wars in human history. World War Two was the first time that Canada was able to decide as a country whether or not to join the war, and it was conscription free until 1944. We find it easier to raise our fist than to raise our dignity and peacefully talk or walk away. There are cases of violent acts all over the news, movies, music, TV, and social media. Violence is a problem within our commutes, however violence is not what makes an American or what defines America. It is our ability to come together in the face of adversity, in our darkest hour, that moment when everyone expects us to be out of the count, we pick each other up and fight back. • 16. Angela s Ashes-Historical Essay Is life writing really an accurate representation of past events? Hello everyone and welcome to the 2017 literary convention, I am your keynote speaker Angus Topp and today I will be discussing why life writing is a very inaccurate way of representing past events. Angela s Ashes by Frank McCourt is an autobiography of McCourt s life from when he was born to the age of 19, at this time they were in great deprivation. McCourt s depiction of Limerick and it s locals are shown as a squalid town with wrongly accusing one local of watching over him. McCourts memory would also not be able to remember many delicate details such as conversations and exact memories as the year difference was to significant. To add to all the misery Frank McCourt had ... According to Malone, the McCourt s family lived in a home with green lawn and they were never extremely poor. As described in the book, Limerick during the 1930 s to 1940 s was described in all its grittiness. The family lived in a run down, neglected house with unpaved lane of houses that flood regularly. The McCourt s family is forced to live like this due to the father s alcoholism. The father would always spend the welfare payments before Angela could get her hands on it to feed their starving children. However Malone s opinion counteracts the book s description of the family and the home they lived in. Evidence *Insert Quote* Without anyone to contest a story it would be 100% believable however when Malone s side of the story is told McCourt is left with quite a few holes in his plot. This further pushes the idea of how inaccurate life writing really is. • 17. The Problem Of Police Brutality Police brutality remains one of the most controversial, as well as the most serious human rights violations in the United States. In the past year or we have heard, read, or witnessed unjustified shootings, severe beatings, fatal chokings, and rough treatment which have all contributed to the ever present problem of police brutality in America. Police are the ones that set an image towards the society so that people can actually follow them and think they are doing the right thing, however it is a really disturbing matter knowing that police does racial profiling especially compared to whites and blacks. And therefore, this research paper is about police will most likely be more crucial to blacks compare to whites and this is known as racial profiling. Therefore, this brings fourth the question, are our officers of law really doing their job? Police brutality has been and continues to be a major concern in society. Most of these incidents go un reported or un noticed. Through research, we seek to identify the causes of police brutality, and what we can possibly do to end it, or in the hopes that it brings awareness. While doing research on police brutality, I have observed countless online journal articles. These articles are written by professional analysts that specialize in investigating specific incidents involving police misconduct. • 19. `` The Knight s Tale `` For My Final Assignment Author s Note The fact that nowadays Chaucer is studied, discussed, and read means that his works are still interesting for modern readers. They are great pieces that shaped literature as we know it today. However, apart from that, The Canterbury Tales written in the 14th century catches readers attention now because it is a collection of brilliant stories with plots so old that they seem very fresh and extraordinary in a stream of modern literature. Still, as we perfectly understand, social realities, beliefs, values, and tastes change and something in The Canterbury Tales have probably got outdated since the 14th century. Due to this reason, I decided to modernize The Knight s Tale for my final assignment. My main concern about this text is that it does not adequately reflect social and gender roles. It is extremely one sided and focused mostly on men. Women in it are represented, but they are passive, voiceless, and objectified. In my story, I have tried to make both women and men whole persons with their will, ambitions, and path. The Knight s Tale There was a man who was called Theseus. In his late forties, he was a CEO in a private security company known all over the globe, and his contribution to the field was acknowledged and respected. It is promoting their Nike clothing products. The audience of this ad is targeted towards women athletes. It talks about how girls aren t just for the stereotypical things people picturing them doing. For example, they say we have delicate hands or how we re just supposed to smile pretty and not be heard. The implied argument is that girls can accomplish things just like men can. This advertisement shows women can do more than what has been expected of them since the olden days. This ad helps to persuade the people watching because it shows many different parts of what people put us out to be, and what girls really can be. For example, in this ad one of the first parts shown is a woman dressed up, it says you know us, we smile pretty . In pagan worship, nature takes the place of God along with the belief that inanimate objects contain spirits. The Geats would refer to Grendel and his mother as God s enemy and descendants of Cain. Territorial Disputes Within The South China Sea Country: Netherlands Name: Michael Zuker and Max Myszkowski Committee: United Nations General Assembly Topic: Territorial Disputes in the South China Sea Background Following the cessation of the Cold War, a massive territorial dispute erupted over two island chains in the South China Sea (SCS), the Paracels and the Spratleys. Those nations disputing their rightful ownership include China, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, and Taiwan. The source of the conflict in this area stems from the geographical location and the natural resources to be gained through their ownership. According to the World Bank, the sea contains approximately 900 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and seven billion barrels of oil. That roughly equates to the amount of energy needed to power the entire world for an entire year. Furthermore, the sea is a center for fishing and provides most of the surrounding countries with the vast majority of their total fish supply. Finally, the SCS is a major trade route, especially for petroleum products and crude oil shipments; control of the region could easily mean absolute monopoly over shipments passing through it. China has the largest claim, with what is referred to as the Nine Dash Line . This line outlines all of the disputed islands as China s historical claims, establishing China s belief that it has the sole rights to the islands. Vietnam and the Philippines also claim to have historical reasons to impose sovereignty over this territory. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Petrarch delved into the lost classics, literature of antiquity, and rediscovered many things that were lost when Rome fell in the 5th century. He is considered the founder of Humanism, a school of thought that allowed for the return of the pagan classics and the philosophy of secularism. The philosophies covered in this paper will be the Retributive Justification, the Utilitarian Justification, and the Deterrence method of justification. The Retributive Justification involves the highly debated concept of revenge. Simply put, if a crime is committed then punishment should provide the offender with what they deserve . The retributive justification involves the mindset of society and its determination of the punishment for specific crimes. Lancelot becomes the good example of romantic mythology through his internal struggles while still remaining loyal to his liege. The tragic Greek hero or man of myth portrayed in the epic tales that became immediate folklore for nations across the globe was no more. Every country had its great epic hero, but the rise of romantic writings led to each country being able to rediscover itself through a different set of eyes. Perceval and Lancelot could never have been epic heroes, and the actions of Perceval and Lancelot could never be portrayed in an epic poem without seeming humorous. High schools not only need to prepare us for college, but also for work outside of college. This is not the case in many places, however. When taking a look at the American and German high school education systems there are many differences and the outcomes are different because of those differences. War is nothing new, throughout history we have experienced over hundreds of wars with more in the future. For every war requires soldiers to fight for what they believe in. In most cases the soldiers are on a mission to fight the enemy for their country. Fighting is common between individuals because conflict is inevitable. There will be lesser limitations as you achieve the maintenance periods of the diet, yet you are making a cognizant choice to basically yield a decent amount of the starches that a large number of us have loved all of our lives. This is an idea that is much simpler said than achieved over a long duration and particularly in a culture where the greater part of us can t focus on a mate for that ... • 37. My Life Journey When I was a child my father always came to me and told me a quote, but over the years I have changed it into my own and now I live by it everyday . Tomorrow is a brand new day, and a gift from yesterday, if you ve failed rise from your ashes and create your own path and leave a trail behind because you can not take others pathes to live your life, life is your adventure and what you make of it. I have always loved life and the people that are in it, since i was a child i have had the biggest dreams of going and doing anything I wanted to be and that nothing was going to stop me. My success to that has been keeping to not only my quote but to my heart, and to succeed I have stuck to these things: being determined, encouraging others, and hardworking. To begin with I have always pushed through any struggle that has been tossed at me, and to clarify that, during this past year, I went through a life changing operation. I had a benign bone tumor growing, and it was taking over my lower front jaw bone. The surgery took place under my chin. Doctors removed five of my teeth and the part of the bone that held the tumor. They replaced what was missing with morphogenetic protein, cadaver s bone, and a titanium bar. Needless to say, I have remained strong and pulled through this rough patch in my life. I always have a brilliant smile upon my face, and I always am filled with euphoria. I am always ready for the next challenge no matter how hard it is and, I will not stop fighting ... • 38. London Is The Most Eclectic Megalopolis Of The West Unusually, I was a late subscriber to the idea of observing deeply into the capital s wonders; London is possibly the most eclectic megalopolis of the West, it stirs ambition like no other place, in some professional sectors it s like swimming against the tide if you re not registered in London. Realistically for me, it probably was six years ago, when I took note of what London urbanity offers, before then, I was probably too busy, fatigued and self orientated to allow London a laborious thought in the early noughties; I recall, it took a nudge from famous authors who resided in the capital, such as Iain Sinclair, J.G. Ballard and Hanif Kureishi, to name a few, who systematically embraced the capital within their creative works. Their savoir faire wordage spurred me on to experience London with fresh eyes; I owe much to their observations, they introduced me to London s identities just enough, so you can muster your own observations and prose. The process was like peering through a keyhole at collective humanism entirely unique to the voyeur. For London truly is a collaboration of creativity and creed, to state the City has one identity stroke congruence is veraciously wrong. London is that versatile, it has a plethora of characteristics, rich in detail, purpose and belonging; why everyone has an opinion whatever the experience, London demands respect. Author: Craig Taylor takes this analogy a step further and in the book: Londoners; he strings together ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Marshall Davis Jones Touchscreen by Marshall Davis Jones is a very intriguing free verse poem. This is a poem about technology and how it has changed and will continue to change our society. He shows us this using various types of figurative language. Types include repetition, word play, and slant rhyme. I think the meaning of this poem is pretty straight forward, technology has made us desensitized and lazy. I think he is trying to tell us we are lazy based off lines 16 18. I update my status 420 spaces To prove that I am still breathing The speaker of this poem isn t always clear, because at first he sounds like a malfunctioning robot in lines 3 5 because of his use of repetition. I think the deeper meaning of this poem is warning us where technology will take us. Throughout the poem he is showing examples of how life was before technology and how life is now, so then when you really start thinking about the poem, you have to think of where technology will take us. This is shown in lines 46 47. We used to sprint to pick and store blackberries/Now we run to the Sprint Store to pick Blackberries This is also shown in lines ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. A Research Study On The Social Sciences The Social Sciences consist of a variety of disciplines that aim to understand the behaviour, interactions and relationships between individuals and society. Social scientists conduct research in order to gain a deeper insight into the factors that affect individuals. They do so by using systematic methods of investigation that allow them to analyse and interpret their findings, and thus create a new theory of knowledge or expand upon the existing knowledge of a theory (Giddens Sutton, 2013). Researchers may use a variety of processes that provide a solid and coherent structure to their research that ensures its validity and reliability. Choosing the right process will aid the researcher in better understanding the area of research and thus may allow them to apply their findings to the workings of the wider social world. Irwin Elley s (2011) Concerted Cultivation? Parenting Values, Education and Class Diversity, is a study into the effects of class diversity and parental values of the importance of modern child education, uses a mixed method of investigation. The research takes into account previous studies into class diversity and parental roles in children s development and socialisation. The research question of the study is not made clear at the beginning of the article to suggest an aim as to what the study seeks to explain, though a hypothesis is offered within the findings of the study. The research also uses quantitative and qualitative data gathering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Qr Codes In The Classroom When choosing a topic for this assignment I had recently seen my sister s grade 7 class do an activity using QR codes. Maeve had then told me about how she had done a lesson on the human body using QR codes with her grade 4 class. I had never used QR codes and was curious on how it worked and how easily it can be set up. While working in this project, I was amazed to see how easy it is to create QR codes. When trying to generate ideas on how to use them in the classroom, it was easy. There are really endless ways to use QR codes in the classroom. I am a strong believer in integrating movement into every class activity I can. One of my favourite things about QR codes is how they easily incorporate movement into any lesson. Students ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... QR codes can be used in my more than media literacy. It can be used in any subject by all students. After reflection on ways to use them in the classroom, I think the most practical way to use them is in subjects that have plenty of inquiry opportunities (science, social studies, music, dance). In the younger grades, students have not yet developed good research skills. Having the QR codes makes the research more teacher directed, which is beneficial for both student learning, and internet safety. For example, if a grade 7 class is working on a project about human trafficking, the teacher can find some resources and videos that are age appropriate for the students instead of students typing human trafficking into Google and being shown many articles, and videos that are not appropriate for their age group. Overall I believe that QR codes can be used for almost anything in the Ontario Curriculum and can be helpful for both teacher and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Costa Rica-Personal Narrative I have had the opportunity to live in both Montana and Costa Rica, both which are synonymous with anything that might encompass the thoughts of adventure, environment and the outdoors. So much so, that their economy is centralized around eco tourism. I always had Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshal Wilderness and Corcovado National Park right at my footsteps do to my father being a wildlife biologist. Around the time I was 6 years old we were living in a small town in the mountains of Costa Rica the towns name was Montverde. I did not have friends or a street to ride my bike, what I had was an imagination that ran wild. We lived in the middle of the clouded rainforest where wild hogs and tapirs would surround the house and even rub their bodies up again the outside of my bedroom, it was not uncommon to come across a recently shedded skin of a boa constrictor or chase out tarantulas the size of a adult s hand from the house. To me this lifestyle was normal, I had not experienced much difference in other places where we lived. I remember vividly walking to kindergarten during this time. • 45. DELEGATION AND DECENTRALIZATION Advantages and Disadvantages of Decentralization In an organization, centralized way of making a decision entails less autonomy to everyone except the central leadership. In contrast, decentralization involves delegation of responsibility and the associated decision making powers across various levels in the organization. Let us discover the pros and cons of this concept. A central command structure derives from an autocratic style of management. Autocracy is not necessarily an intention and could be incidental. For example, typically start ups and business that have just been founded are naturally autocratic with the founding members primarily running the show. Gradually, as the business grows and the headcount expands, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The adoption of organizational standards and best practices is also facilitated by a decentralized setup. Transparency in process ensures that it is easy for the various local teams to emulate and adopt the methods and processes that brought success to a team located elsewhere. One of the major advantages of decentralized way of taking decisions is witnessed during a sudden change in the local business environment such as the onset of recession or currency devaluation, etc. Businesses are able to respond and adapt quickly to these changes when authority is decentralized. Retail businesses like Walmart and hotel chains often benefit from having a decentralized style of management. Businesses, where quick decisions amidst fast paced changes in environment are the order of the day, stand to benefit from decentralization. Disadvantages of Decentralization Too much emphasis on localized way of taking decisions may end up blurring the bigger picture. As you go down the corporate ladder, employees seem to lose sight of the organizational vision. A highly decentralized organization can be the battleground for unhealthy competition between local managers leading to lack of co operation and coordination. As a result, interdependent functions may suffer and resolving interdepartmental conflicts is difficult when authority has been delegated. In addition, there is costly duplication ...
