Immanuel Kant s Philosophy On Philosophy
People were lost. They did not know where and what to follow. Therefore, many philosophers came
up with ideas to convince people to live ¨better¨. Rationalism related with the overview of
mathematical approaches into philosophy during the period by the major rationalist figures such as
Descartes, Leibniz and Spinoza developed people´s way of thinking in many different ways.
Rationalism is perspective which engages the rational and deductive reason, an opposite structure
from personal experience or teachings as the foundation of knowledge or rationalization. Therefore,
the concept of rationalism relies on the knowledge that everyday life has a rational configuration in
that all aspects of it can remain through facts and knowledge. Proverbs ... Show more content on

Kant refused the arguments from the empiricists, and kept his statement of reason itself is organized
with practices of gained experience and classifications that provides a phenomenal and rational
configuration to any possible item of empirical experience. Kant s famous statement of this duty says,
Act only according to that maxim by which you can at the same time will that it should become a
universal law.
Lastly, the perception of Romanticism appeared in encounter with the Enlightenment within the
society. The concept was too vague. Philosophers indicated human nature as constant being. The
concept of Romanticism had also confronted the culture of church because it disagreed with the
thought of human intention and the enlightenment. The philosophers of Romanticism argued and
stopped certain church movement due to their various types of emotions and inspiration. Romanticism
influenced the society in many religious ways. It mainly served for Roman Catholicism through its
exterior characteristic. Romanticism also emphasized individualism. When God told the world to
serve one another, Romanticism tried to solve the problem alone.
God has allowed freedom of will to all human, yet He specifically stated to live to glorify His name.
John 14:13 14 says, and I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in
the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I

Essay about Aseptic Processing Contamination Case S
Richard L. Friedman s main argument in Aseptic Processing Contamination Case Studies and the
Pharmaceutical Quality System is: The author concludes that the sterile dosage form contamination
issues can emerge in the deficient design concepts and the daily operations of the pharmaceutical
industry determine safety and efficacy of drug products by analysis of 8 case studies. In this paper, the
following system deficiencies are mentioned: production system, packaging and labeling system,
facilities and equipment system, material system, and lab control. What I learnt from this paper is the
importance of supplier audit, rational design of validation method and facilities design.
Firstly, supplier audit is important. Although the author ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The good quality of the vendor s product can also help the customer to guarantee their finished
product quality.
Secondly, the rational design of validation method is very important. In the case study 1 Aseptic
Processing of a Sterile Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) , the process simulation (i.e., media
fill) program was not adequately representative of the actual manufacturing process. The process
simulation validation program is used to detect and diagnose an existing source of contamination.
However, some companies do not realize this usage, and the process simulation validation program
designed does not reflect the actual situation of production. Not just only for the simulation validation,
other validations, like analysis methodology validation, equipment performance qualification, also
exist this kind of problem, that is, the method used to validate/qualify does not have a sufficient
sensibility and representativeness. Many engineers do not know how to design the validation method;
even they do not like to perform the validation, but FDA mandates to perform validation, so some of
engineers copy with it just for FDA inspection, not for keeping the quality of production. It is clear to
cause the waste of manpower, material and financial resources. Good validation design cannot only
help to maintain a robust quality

Comparison between Holland and Croatia
Holland and Croatia are countries which are located in Europe. Though they are on the same
continent, the two countries have significant differences with regards to their geography. Their
geological features, climate, and environmental sustainability issues defer greatly. Nevertheless, when
it comes to the hydrosphere, the two countries are almost similar with regards to closeness to the sea.
While Holland borders the North Sea, Croatia borders the Adriatic Sea. With these similarities and
differences, it is important to explore and compare Holland and Croatia to allow for a better
understanding and appreciation of each country s unique physical ... Show more content on

Later in the middle Tertiary, the Dinaric Alps were leveled by natural forces (Dinaric Alps
Summitpost). However, in later Tertiary and at the beginning of the Quaternary, the Dinarics were
built up to today s heights. The built up still continues. The chief economic activities in the area
include mining, forestry, and tourism (Dinaric Alps Summitpost). However, the area remains
underpopulated and almost untouched by human activities hence not posing a threat to the Dinaric
Alps, and the wildlife found on them. Atmosphere Holland has a temperate maritime climate with
warm summers and relatively mild winters. This climate is influenced by the heat from the sun and the
North Sea (Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency 21). Daytime temperatures range from
between 2 0C to 6 0C in the winter and 17 0C to 20 0C in the summer (Weatheronline.co.uk). The
mean annual precipitation ranges from between 700 to 900 millimeters per year. Climate change in
Holland has been observed in terms of the increase in the average temperature, increase in the amount
and intensity of precipitation, and the common occurrence of extremely hot days (Netherlands
Environmental Assessment Agency 8). The climate change has had both positive and negative impacts
on Holland. The positive impacts include increase in agricultural productivity and the number of good
weather days suited for recreation. The negative impacts, on the other hand, include frequent flooding
and reduction in

Evolution Of Justice
How has justice evolved throughout world history?
When children are young they are expected to follow rules precisely and if they break a rule, then they
are typically forced to take a timeout. In a child s eyes, a time out is a horrible and miserable time
when they are compelled to think about what they did wrong. But even though a timeout is considered
harsh in the child s eyes it still establishes justice between the child who broke the rule and who was
affected by that child s choice. As the child grows older, it realizes that justice doesn t have to
established through a set of rules, but that justice can be achieved through kindness. In the same way,
the idea of justice has changed over time in the way of justice has become less strict ... Show more

In this example, Jesus is giving a sermon to people from various areas of Africa. Therefore, whoever
breaks even the smallest of the commandments and teaches others to do the same will be least in the
kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, whoever obeys the Law, and teaches others to do the same will
be great in the kingdom of heaven (The Sermon on the Mount 30 C.E.). This exemplifies that if one
was to break a commandment, he would face little to no severe punishment. Although the individual
would face little punishment, if they did nothing to make the situation right they would face
punishment spiritually or after death. However, Jesus did not only ensure punishment but also made
good promises for those who were obedient. (God speaking to Moses) From this you know that now,
if you obey my voice and hold fast to my covenant, you of all the nations shall be my very own for all
the earth is mine. I will count you a kingdom of priests, a consecrated nation (The Covenant Code,
Exodus 20:19 23:33). This portrays that those who did not obey God s covenant would not receive the
good things that he promised but they would, however, get away with facing little punishment
physically. On the whole, throughout history, justice becomes less about relentlessly punishing and
following every rule word for word but more about benefitting from being

Essay On Electronic Cigarettes
Conventional cigarettes emit tobacco smoke, which is the most significant air quality tissue.6 The
most harm aspect of tobacco smoke is the combustion of chemicals.4 It has been declared a Group 1
carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.5 Carcinogens are continuously
emitted through a smoking session and is exposed to smokers and nonsmokers alike.4 Smoking in
public buildings has been banned in the United States and Europe to improve indoor air quality.6
As an alternative, electronic cigarettes (e cigarettes) were developed.6 An electronic cigarette is a

Electronic cigarettes and cartridges are unregulated and vary from company to company. This results
in electronic cigarettes with different designs, materials, combustion voltages, and liquid cartridge
concentrations.4 Other differences include an open or closed system used in an e cigarette and the user
s individual puffing topography.3 All studies provided in this paper conclude that electronic cigarettes
produce lower levels of pollutants, making electronic cigarettes safer for the user, bystanders, and the
environment when compared to conventional cigarettes. Schober et al. reports further research needs
to be conducted to address long term effects of using electronic cigarettes. Oh et al. reports further
research should be done on the various nicotine dosing, flavors of liquid cartridges, and various
voltages. Oh also remarks that these studies use different brands and types of electronic cigarettes that
have different doses of liquid cartridges. Ario et al. reports that second hand exposure should be
further investigated to find possible health issues. Colard et al. reports that further studies should be
done to report concentrations in different locations, with different distances from the user and the
bystanders, and with different vaping behaviors (puff volume, frequency, and inhalation). Bertholon et
al. reports that the toxicity of long terms will vary based on the additives and contaminants in
propylene glycol and/or glycerol. O Connell et al. reported that there are limits in the studies because
there were different methods used, in addition to the different designs and manufacturing of electronic
cigarettes, and because some findings were not replicated. O Connell et al. proposes focusing on
consumer exposure and using different product types in different settings with different volunteer

Imagine waking up one day eager to greet a loved one who s been away for a while only to find out
that their life was stolen by complete strangers. It could cause one to take some crazy actions; it could
even make an assassin. In the novel American Assassin the girlfriend of college lacrosse star Mitch
Rapp is killed in the Pan Am Lockerbie terrorist attack. This prompts him to put his sensational mind
and body through rigorous training to become an assassin for the United States government. With his

This is can be extrapolated. by this quote spoken by Mitch Rapp, You put Victor in with us, and his
job is to tempt us into making mistakes, (Flynn 135). The situation that prompted Mitch to say this
occurred during training. Victor was part of the group of trainees, but he was different from the rest.
He was always breaking the rules and trying to convince others to break the rules as well.
Furthermore, the instructors would also glance at Victor more often than they would look at the other
initiates. With just this information Mitch was able to break through Victor s guise and figure out that
he was an undercover instructor. Mitch was also able to conclude that Victor was trying to determine
who the weak trainees were. Being able to do this took an enormous amount of logical thinking and
awareness. When this information is paired with the fact that Mitch was constantly tired and underfed
from training as well as being viciously gibed at by the instructors, it is incredible how he was able to
piece together the clues to discover that Victor was undercover. Additionally not only was Rapp smart
enough to figure this out, but he was also confident enough to call out an instructor on this. Ultimately,
Mitch is able to form strong hypotheses because he is a sponge, constantly observing and absorbing
information around him ☺ (metaphor). This leads to

Barriers to Entry: The athletic footwear industry is a very competitive and mature market. The leaders
of this industry are very well established. Leaders like Nike, Reebok, and Adidas have made the
industry what it is today. In order to have an edge over the leaders, companies must be able to compete
at all levels such as reasonable pricing, efficient production, and high product quality. These things are
difficult to achieve without the resources of an established manufacturer. Another key barrier to entry
is the access of traditional distribution channels. Lesser known brands are viewed by retailers as being
too risky to replace an established brand name like Nike or Reebok on the shelf. Thus, high startup
costs, lack of distribution channels, brand equity and cutthroat environment hinder the entry of new
competitors.
Non Price Competition: In a monopolistically competitive market like that of footwear industry, there
is just a slight difference between the products manufactured by various companies such as Nike,
Reebok, Adidas, Puma etc., and hence the companies rely heavily on non price competition. They
mainly use advertising to flaunt their products and try to get consumers to buy their product over
another. The goal of product differentiation and advertising (non price competition) is to make price
less of a factor in consumer purchases and make product differences a greater factor. There is a lot of
non price competition

Public Service Personal Statement
Growing up, my parents instilled the value of service in me. For this reason, I pursued a degree in
Education in order to serve my community with the best skillset. However, it was until serving as an
AmeriCorps member that I developed a more critical lens to what public service means. Before my
term of service, I thought serving was just a matter of showing up and completing a task. While this is
partially true, I learned that in order to maximize change, it is important to involve who we are
serving. At times, we focus more on quantity rather than quality and end up doing a disservice to
communities who need the most help. I want to serve with The Peace Corps to facilitate change and to
empower communities through education.
My summer abroad in Guatemala, showed me the challenges and implications that come with teaching
English as a Foreign Language. A specific challenge was to teach students who were Kaqchikel
dominant instead of Spanish dominant. The challenge to reach students culturally and linguistically

The Wrongful Convictions Of Innocent Men And Women
We hear in the news about police misconduct, use of excessive force, embezzlement, but one thing I
found while researching what I should write this paper on is the Wrongful convictions of innocent
men and women, that spend years in prison being innocent, and there is nothing that gets done till it s
too late. Some wrongful convictions are honest mistakes, but many times law enforcement and
prosecutors lose sight of the obligation of ensuring truth and justice, and are focused on their
conviction rates. As with any job, they are honest people and ones that just don t care and are corrupt,
this exists in the criminal justice system. One way to prove someone is innocent now is through DNA
testing, but even at all levels of a criminal investigation there could be misconduct or mishandling of
evidence, which then causes the evidence to become compromised.
One thing I notice is a lot of the misconduct is by the arresting officers or detectives that are
investigating the crime. The ways an office can have misconduct that could lead to false convictions,
include suggestions when conducting interviews, coercing false confessions, lying to jurors about
observations, failing to turn over evidence. Common forms of misconduct by a prosecutor can include,
withhold evidence from defense, mishandling, mistreating or destroying evidence, allowing witnesses
that they know are not truthful to testify, Pressing Witnesses of the defense to not testify, relying on
fraudulent forensic experts.

The Political Role Of Women In Mesopotamian Women
Regardless of the discrepancies and inconsistencies, Mesopotamian women had an unprecedented
sovereignty and great potential for dominance, they were assigned a number of central political roles
that influenced politics and social life. Mesopotamian pantheon, temple of Ishtar and Ziggurat at Ur,
that many respected divinities including Ishtar, the goddess of war and love, who was believed to be
the goddess of Uruk and the bordering territories, goddess Ninsun, Gilgamesh s mother who served as
his consultant as a mother would consult with her son in our modern day, Aruru goddess of birth,
Nisaba goddess of grain, Ereshkigal the queen, Belit Seri the underworld goddess and others. The
presence of these goddesses and priestesses indicates the large scale in diversification of functions and
duties and illustrates women s dominance over the hierarchical system. The social, political, and
religious order that existed in ancient Mesopotamia is deeply rooted in the power invested in the
temple under women s leadership and their great capacity to influence the city state s affairs and its
fiscal responsibility.
Gilgamesh s despotic behavior reached its climax and the need for extreme measures to bring about
progressive but significant changes was overdue. The grievances against Gilgamesh precipitated a fast
and effective response from goddess Aruru to curtail Gilgamesh s tyranny and left the curse over Uruk
inhabitant, this does not only personifies the protectorate territory of women over life and death but
also human enculturation, industrialization and civility in the form of rearing children and preparing
them for future responsibilities. By creating a savage Enkidu who will be eventually brought into
civilization, thank you Shamhat, and challenge Gilgamesh to conquer his fear and acquire morality
makes women the pious change makers. The conventional interpretation of these verses assumes that
he is exploiting lassies of Uruk for his sexual fantasies does not leave a girl to her mother is contrary
to the law of nature and reduces women to simple sex object. However this verse may invoke a more

Questions On Criminal Procedure Code
4.12 Section 433 Criminal Procedure Code Power to commute sentence
Referring, to pardon it means to forgive a person of his offence. The word pardon has been defined as
an act of grace, advancing from the power assigned with the execution of the law, which excuses the
individual on whom it is conferred upon, from the punishment the law imposes for a crime he has
committed. It affects both the punishment proposed for the offence and the guilt of the offender.
In other words, grant of pardon wipes off the guilt of accused and brings him to the original position
of innocence as if he had never committed the offence for which he was charged. Under Indian law,
the President of India and the Governors of States have been given the power to grant pardons,
reprieves, respites or remissions of punishment or to suspend, remit or commute the sentence. The law
governing grant of pardon is contained in Articles 72 and 161 of the Constitution.
4.12(1) Granting of pardon may be of two kinds.
Absolute
Absolute pardon may mark out the guilt itself. It does not lead to an acquittal unless the Court directs.
The accused is discharged permanently without demanding any condition to be fulfilled.
Conditional
In conditional pardon, the offender is let off subject to certain conditions. The violation of these
conditions will lead to renewal of his sentence and he shall be exposed to the unexhausted portion of
his punishment.

Retail Location Strategies
Learning the New Rules for Site Selection Will Keep You Ahead of the Game.
Nationwide, the retail sector enjoyed robust growth during the first half of the decade, due in great
part to the continued expansion of big boxes. The excitement, however, is dying down, as several
category killer retailers experience slowing sales. The once zealous players are becoming more
cautious, and once again the rules of the game are changing for developers and commercial brokers.
New Development Drivers
Traditionally, retail centers have been defined as either regional, community, or neighborhood, with
standard tenants for each of these categories. Recently, though, the lines have blurred, as discount

Many of the nation s retailers are discovering the substantial dollar volumes that are largely untapped
in the major urban markets. Obsolescent industrial buildings in A locations are making way for new
supermarkets, Wal Marts, and Home Depots across the country. In fact, Wal Mart is considering
obsolescence in its new prototype by designing stores that can be converted into multifamily housing
in the future. Communities with enterprise zones and other economic incentives are getting a second
chance as retailers rediscover downtown in more affluent markets. A shining example is the Circle
Centre redevelopment in Indianapolis.
B locations, or those neighborhood centers once anchored by supermarkets, are getting a breath of
new life from Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS as consumers yearn for service and convenience.
In addition, the surviving supermarkets and large discount department stores are anchoring regional
malls. K mart now focuses on its superstore concept in metropolitan locations, with Wal Mart
continuing to identify gaps in suburban markets. There are fewer active big box players; therefore,
opportunities for regional mall locations, as they become repositioned, will become more prevalent.

The Women States in the Early Religion The woman as a divine being and a consolidator of every
belief that adheres to divinity is defined and explained in both Karen Christina Lang s Images of
Women in Early Buddhism and Christian Gnosticism and in Elaine Pagels The Gnostic Gospels. As
analysis of religious beliefs, the works define the religious and cultural relevance of the woman in the
origins of both Buddhism and Gnosticism, as well as the effects that the patriarchal society has
changed in this original belief system. Both literatures assert that the role of the woman in religion
serve the purpose of being the divine or the evidence that Gnosticism is a symbol of the feminine, of
celebrating the woman as the most significant element that created the world view as well as beliefs.
The traditions set forth by both Buddhism and Christian Gnosticism all adhere to the celebration of the
woman, her power, her purity, and her importance in shaping the world, and the men who have to
purposely oblige to this belief and to create the tradition which the community should follow. Hence,
both Lang and Pagels identified that woman, in her own vestal powers, is the main exhibitor of
religious participation as well as the symbol of wisdom in humanity. Lang (1982) defined that women
were subjected as the fall of humanity despite being the original images that women has portrayed

ABSTRACT: The demands for high bandwidth high speed application are growing at a faster rate and
with the minimum tolerance of error. To enhance available bandwidth and improve the quality of
transmission convolution codes are used on the OFDM (Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing)
communication system over AWGN channel. In OFDM (Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing)
systems with channel equalization play a key role in overcoming distortions caused by phenomena
like fading, delay spread and multipath effects. A new framework for designing robust adaptive filters
is introduced. A series of review papers were already available to provide a history of the development
of the field until the end of the last decade. During survey of work we have found that different
authors have developed separate methods to solve the purpose. So from the study of various papers we
can easily conclude that there is not any unique method. Hence in this work we come across to
develop new adaptive channel equalization OFDM algorithm to solve the purpose using MATLAB.

Pride And Prejudice Displacements
In my final paper I will argue that the displacement of social class appears in three way: gender role,
marriage and places. The displacement plays a major role in the novel because it encourages people in
society break the restrictions and achieve the life they want. First of all, at that time, women s
behaviors are absolutely important, and their sole purpose in life is to find a husband, reproduce and
then spend the rest of their lives serving him. Nevertheless, Elizabeth believes that women have the
right to be the independent until they meet the right man. She looks for a man without paying attention
to his wealth and goes against her mother s belief, which is the displacement of her obligation as a
child. In addition, Jane Austen uses love to reveal how the characters overcome numerous obstacles. ...

Marriage is an issue in society; however, the characters do not care about their social class and they
struggle to find their true love. For instance, throughout the novel, Elizabeth and Mr. Bingley displace
their ideals and class in order to be together. Last but not least, some particular places in Pride and
Prejudice express a displacement of character s moral as well. Pemberley, which is a geographic
symbol of the novel, makes Elizabeth see Mr. Darcy s true character through his home. Elizabeth
learns that Mr. Darcy is a kind master to his servants and is solicitous for the well being of his little
sister. He keeps his estate well maintained and is obviously a dutiful and responsible guardian of his
familial property. It is undeniable that her displacement from Longbourn to Pemberley marks not only

grade seven brought us to this massive school in which we had no clue about why we were actually
there. The first presentation I saw was someone who built a robot that could follow lights for
direction. The thought that I had to do this project in grade ten scared me, I had no clue what I really
wanted to do. This was until I started thinking about it more and one thought came into my mind, that
was to create Goal Line Technology. This form of technology was quite new at the time, this was
because they just announced that they were going to start using it in one of the top five leagues in
Europe, the first league to incorporate it was the Barclay s Premier League. My project goal was to
create a fully working demo of Goal Line Technology. At first I was scared that I

When Cybersecurity Policy Is Discussed The Topics Often
When cybersecurity policy is discussed the topics often focus on technology, corporate culture, and
security awareness. The success of an organization in defending its most valuable asset, data, depends
on the proper implementation of several security practices. Ensuring that the human aspect of cyber
security is addressed is vital, for the culture of an organization can greatly impact both the security
posture and defense of information networks.
This paper addresses the human aspects responsible for SCADA System vulnerabilities and provides a
holistic solution to ensure a solid defense. Then we will explore Zero day exploits and how they are
employed as both military and economic tools. Next the topic of bringing your own device ... Show

The NIST, in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), establish performance
goals that should be met to enhance cybersecurity (The White House, 2013). Because compliance is
voluntary, the standards set by the NIST came from industry best practices to appease private
operators and ensure that the cybersecurity of the nation s critical infrastructure was improved through
compliance. SCADA Systems are pervasive throughout our nation s critical infrastructures which
govern many aspects of the population s daily life. Travel, the movement of goods, essential utilities
and basic life sustainment necessities are all dependent on properly functioning SCADA Systems.
Executive order 13636 ensures that SCADA systems are integrated with and function in conjunction
with other devices that report real time health of operations. Should these systems be compromised,
national security would be placed at risk. An example of vulnerable infrastructure are Very Small
Aperture Terminals (VSATs) which are used for remote transmission of credit card transactions, and
the transfer of data from SCADA systems to government classified systems (Storm, 2015). If these
VSATs are compromised, they provide

The article A Classroom of One is a Community of Learners: Paradox, Artistic Pedagogical
Technologies, and the Invitational Online Classroom shines a light on how students in an online
classroom can experience the feeling of being in a traditional classroom. Online learners often feel
separated and alone and find themselves easily distracted without a traditional teacher in front of
them. To improve that problem the educators must develop an online curriculum that encourages
social interaction between the students and teachers causing them to build an online relationship. This
curricula must create and invitational classroom that prevents student isolation, lack of accountability,

movie in the cinema and since then I have watched this movie fast time. It is one of the best
experience of my life. When first time after watching the movie I walked out of cinema, I felt my life
was changed. Interstellar is an incredible movie. Acting, visuals , score all are amazing. The movie is
sci fi and is all about humanity. It spread the message of love in the form of space adventure. It
transcends space and time and gives a concept of existence into the soul.
Interstellar is about love, connection and endurance. It is about survive and checks our ability to think
to operate from a place what is right, instead of what we should do when we have no option but
survival is the only way. Another thing is being alone while we surrounded by others. As Cooper is a
NASA pilot. He is away from home and we feel his need to explore permeate through his skin he
works very hard. He fights it off each day to become a farmer to have food and raise his kid. His wife
is gone and feels more alone. He struggles for finding his dreams. I love this movie as it teaches some
big lessons of life. Interstellar shows us the human condition and shows we can fight with isolation
and loneliness. It is the bigger test for humans, when they are alone and they have to survive them,
decision making is something which then play a vital part. It teaches us the importance of decision

The Domino Theory
Isolationism to involvement is a major shift, especially when fighting in or entering The Great War or
World War II. Although the United States had not entirely disengaged itself from foreign affairs
following World War I, it had remained largely divorced from events occurring in Europe until the late
1930s. Concurrently, World War II forced the United States to involve itself once again in European
affairs, which thus resulted in them being the most powerful nation in the world. (787) At the end of
World War I, the United States sought to develop many new international relationships so that the start
of any new war would be nearly impossible in the future. (817) One of which included a permanent

(827) They wanted to make sure they prevent the expansion of a hostile country and its influence.
Specifically, the United States wanted to keep communism from spreading beyond the countries
already under its influence. Ultimately, this was considered to be known as the domino theory, a
theory that would lead other countries to give in to communism one by one like a chain of dominos
toppling one another. (827) The policy applied to the world that had become divided due to the cold
war, which was a struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union. In 1947 after Great Britain
announced they could no longer afford the cost of supporting government militaries, the United States
proposed the Truman Doctrine. The Truman Doctrine offered support to Greece and Turkey in the
form of financial assistance, weaponry, and troop to help train their militaries and strengthen their
governments against communism. (827) Simultaneously, the Marshall Plan was a program giving
billions of U.S dollars to aid European countries to prevent from turning to communism. The
American dream was clear and they were doing what they had to do that make the dream come true.
They wanted to end communism while spreading peace and prosperity to all in the nation and that is

Impulse Buying Behavior And Marketing Decision Making
Impulse Buying Behavior
It plays a very important role and position in marketing decision making. It can be explained as a
tendency of making unreflective , spontaneous, immediate, kinetic, unplanned and sudden purchases.
Impulse buying has got two parts cognitive and affective where cognitive is related with planning and
latter one with situational factors leading to an impulse purchase. It provides hedonic reinforcement
and reduces overload of selection. It is revealed that cognitive component of impulse buying is
negatively related with subjective wellbeing, whereas affective component is associated to negative
affect and customer susceptibility to interpersonal influence. It was concluded by exploring relation of
impulse buying with individual traits.
Earlier researches, however, also prove empirically that impulse purchase behavior is not merely
function of personal traits, or impulse buying tendency, rather it the type of product which also has
significant impact on this phenomenon. Gender difference in impulse buying and impulse buying
tendency, during purchase of various product categories; have also been found significant in earlier
researches. Product Involvement Product involvement means the general level of.interest in the.object,
or the centrality of the object.to the person s ego structure (Day, 1970, p. 45) . In simple words, it

The Importance Of The Indian Mutiny
The purpose of this lecture was to discuss the importance of the Indian Mutiny which began on May
10th, 1857. However, before the rebellion began, the British had colonized India, where they would
use citizens as soldiers, and tap into their revenue. In addition, the British changed the ruling system,
where current rulers were disinherited. Then in Meerut India, the rebellion against the British began.
This began when the Meerut troops refused to set down their muskets at an army base. The troops then
proceeded to shoot at their commanding officers, where they were forced to flee to Delhi. This act
represented racial intolerance, white versus non white, and was viewed as a race war. Furthermore,
civilians joined the up rising, and joined the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

points clearer. Additionally, the article describes how the British viewed the mutineers, as murdering
shoe keepers . However, the article also goes into detail how the British were not the only ones
massacred. As stated in the article, the casualties among the Indian Christian were far more numerous.
Furthermore, the article also suggests that the paper in the Indian National archive were not explored

article Nana Sahib at Cawnpore: 1857 by Christopher Hibbert, describes the attack on Cawnpore in
1857. The article describes the attack on the British where most men were killed, and the women and
children were taken as hostages. Then Nana Sahib ordered them to be killed, and thrown in a well.
This is when the British acted in vengeance, stuffing pork and beef down the Nana Sahib s Collector

Descriptive Essay About Horses
My Symbol
Everyone has a symbol, something that has come to represent all that they are and all that they hope to
become. To understand the true heart and soul of a person, one must first understand who it is that
they hope to become. As George Bernard Shaw once said, Life is not about finding yourself, it is
about creating yourself. All people have something they strive toward and hope to become. Horses
have become for me the symbol of everything I want to be in life, strength, determination, and
compassion.
Throughout the ages horses have been a powerful symbol of strength and fearlessness. Equines are
some of the mightiest creatures in the world. It was the strength of the horse that helped to
revolutionize the world as we know it. Able to carry over thirty percent of their body weight and pull
over one hundred and fifty percent of their body weight, horses are an impressive symbol of physical
strength. Many stories and paintings have depicted the incredible power that horses represent.
Correspondingly, Job 39:19 22 says, Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a
flowing mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting? It paws
fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does
not shy away from the sword. Yet what inspires me most about their wonderful animals is not their
physical qualities, it is simply the fact that horses of all shapes, sizes, and

Dental Implants Since The Past 20 Years
Dental implants have evolved immensely over the past 20 years. However, the concept of a tooth
replacement implant is not new. From the existence of societies, the importance of beauty and
retaining of one s teeth have been of upmost importance. Having a full set of nice teeth has been
essential in appearance and the main contributor to being perceived attractive. This is because a person
s smile is one of the first things other people notice. The idea of permanently being able to replace
teeth has been a desire of civilizations since the earliest days. Archaeological evidence shows that man
has been trying to overcome periodontal problems and tooth loss for thousands of years. Fortnightly,
our modern day methods of dental implantation are much more successful and painless than the
attempts from 4,000 years ago.
Today dentists use dental implants, also referred to as endosseous implant or fixture. Described in the
simplest form, it is a man made tooth accompanied with an artificial root that is surgically implanted
into the jawbone of a patient who is missing one or more of their natural teeth. The tooth portion of
the implant is usually made from porcelain and is the non permanent portion of the dental implant.
Just as a crown and bridge tend to need replaced after ten to fifteen years, so will the tooth portion of
the implant. The non permanent tooth structure comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, which
are made to match your natural teeth. The

Naipaul Does Not Deserve his Nobel Prize Essay
What makes an individual worthy of a Nobel Prize in a category as broad as literature? Is it an
immense knowledge of writing procedures that other authors have not begun to attempt to use? Or is
an appropriate representation of the author s subject that is solely objective, and lacks all personal
opinions? If that was the case, several Prizes should be taken away from some authors and handed to
other more deserving writers. V. S. Naipaul, who received a Nobel Prize in Literature for Miguel
Street, falls into the former category. Naipaul may have filled the technical requirements for a Nobel
Prize for his mastery of several difficult techniques, yet his writing neglects to explain the merits of
Trinidad while highlighting the negatives ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What did Nobel actually mean by ideal? In fact, the history of the Literature Prize appears as a series
of attempts to interpret an imprecisely worded will.
A comparison with Porgy and Bess has been suggested. (C. Pierre) The parallel has at least the merit
of reminding us that the whole world is one. In that hospitable mood we might also remember Mark
Twain s tales of life on the Mississippi. But Miguel Street, in Trinidad, is not really very much like
Catfish Row, nor are reminders of nineteenth century Missouri prevalent. What is true and, if you will,
significant about Mr. Naipaul s book is that it presents a world of its own excellently. Vivid characters
with tenuous means of support populate the place. They sing the latest Calypso songs and interest
themselves in cricket matches and collect junk and talk about migrating across the narrow sea to
Venezuela. If their attitude toward morals is informal it is shown openly, not covertly. Their standards
of courage are high. They speculate endlessly on the tremendous trifles and mysteries that have
troubled man s thinking throughout his tenure on our strange planet. A room with a view of a mango
tree may contain a boisterously quarrelsome family or a recluse devoted to carpentry or scholarship.
The popular beverage is rum, though the gay blades who enjoy it most turn to the ostentatious
patronage of a milk bar during an interval when joy through strength becomes fashionable. It had so

How Attitudes And Behaviors Are Affected By The Onset Of...
This literature review seeks to illustrate how attitudes and behaviors are affected by the onset of
menarche and menstruation through a woman s life. A young women s introduction to menstruation
are constructed by both positive and negative perceptions and are then perpetuated by the influences
of culture, religion, family members, and the media (Rembeck, Möller Gunnarsson, 2006; Roberts,
2004). In turn these influences typically create negative attitudes towards menstruation, which affect a
woman s body image leading to self objectification, and causing disconnection from their mother,
themselves, and other women. Most discussion concerning menarche are perpetuated negatively
especially through the media, promoting its existence as a shameful event that requires hygienic
management (Stubbs Costos, 2004). Through engagement of dialogues throughout religious texts and
within familial members primarily the matriarch, girls and women are conditioned to believe they
must control their menstruating bodies quietly and secretly. Menstruation can be described as a Jekyll
and Hyde phenomenon (Stubbs, 2008), which causes a disconnection from self. Most women describe
their menstruating selves as a completely different person from their normal selves. Topics explored
within this paper will guide research for future exploratory or empirical studies.
Through out history menstruating women have been excluded from religious activities and ceremonies

Major Lifestyles Distinctions in the Northern and Southern Colonies
In the early history of the United States, 13 colonies were founded by English settlers. The main
reasons European colonist came to America were, looking for freedom of religion or seeking
economic opportunity. The first colony funded was Virginia in 1607, and the last was Georgia in 1733.
Each colony was founded for a unique reason, but were all very similar. However, what begins with
small a population, become in a short time a large, a diverse and complex society. Consequently,
obvious differences emerged between the Northern and Southern colonies. Four of these major

Differences Between New England Middle And Southern Colonies
There are three different colonial regions, New England, The Middle Colonies, and The South. Each
of them consist of different states. New England includes New Hampshire, Massachusetts,

Delaware. The South consists of Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia. They all
differ when it comes to economic, social and political factors. New England had the most developed
economy and culture. They had poor soil full of stones, hilly lands and long winters made agriculture
hard for them. They heavily relied on the ocean, using it for water powered mills, harbors, trading, and
fishing. However, because they couldn t go the agricultural way, they relied on the middle and
southern colonies to provide their food. Their rapid growth led to towns and schools. Their social life

be served as a piping hot delicious family meal.. By adding other ingredients to elevate each delicious
bowl of poutine such as chives or peas, all four food groups are being covered, with potatoes being the

The Irish Poetry and Postcolonialism
Ireland was a British colony for more than seven centuries, for this time it was hidden their native
identity, as well as their language. The British colonizers imposed not only their language but also
their culture. In 1922, it was signed the Treaty in which Ireland was considered a free state. As and
introduction to Heaney poems, I will use a poem of Yeats, who is the poet that starts to talk about
postcolonial themes. Maybe Yeats was one the most important figures in the reconstruction of the Irish
identity. He represents the relationship between Ireland and Britain in his poem Leda and the Swan .
The first publication of this poem was in the radical magazine To morrow in 1923. Some years later it
was republished in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, the poet pretends it is to get back to his roots, as it is showed in line 15 16. By God, the old
man could handle a spade Just like his old man.
Both his father and his grandfather are working the land, that land which has a special meaning to the
Irish identity because it is the place were they were born and it was free of the British control. The
new potatoes in the poem represent the new expectation to Ireland. However, the Irish identity is not
the only interpretation of poem. It is also represented the opposition between the cultural life and the
life of hard work in the land. Heaney does not think he will be able to use the spade like his and his
grandfather, that means he is not going to dig with a spade but he is going to dig into the historical
present of Ireland with his pen which is the weapon that he uses against the British colonization. In his
poem A Northern hoard he talks about the Irish Great Famine of 1845 , in which many Irish died and
many other had to leave the country. In the first part of the poem we can see which is entitled Roots
makes reference to the old Gomorrah which the town that was punished by God. This town was
devastated for the Flood like Ireland was devastated by the plague. In these four poems the author
always uses the first person narrator who gives a sense more personal of the poem. The poet

Exile In Jane Eyre
Abandoned, abused, alone three terrible words in today s culture, especially when grouped together. In
her classic novel, Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte crafts a character that is all of these; however, Jane Eyre
is able to overcome all the difficulties of her childhood. Throughout the character of Jane Eyre,
Charlotte Bronte reveals even when left abandoned, abused, alone and exiled from familiar
surroundings, one can still discover happiness in a life of one s own.
At a young age, Jane learns to recognize joy in the little moments of her life, even while being abused
and later exiled. During the time that she lives with her aunt, Jane is often excluded from the family
circle around the fire, or condemned to eat her meals alone (Bronte 13,

Ethical Dilemma In Social Work
Dual relationships are very controversial within all helping professions. It can bring positive and
negative components to a situation. There should always be a clear boundary and form of consent and
agreement set by the social worker, or any health service professional to their client. However in some
cases, it is vital for a client and work professionals to establish a relationship. This is an important
component for a successful session or procedure. In this paper, I will discuss the ethical dilemma
revealed between Dr. Green, the Psychologist and teacher, and the client, 19 year old, Ava Jones.
Based upon Dr. Green s behavior, I consider her actions to be wrong but understandable. Established
by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics (COE), the principle being
compromised is the conflict of interest. Dr. Green initially formed a clear relationship with her client
when she was only her Psychologist. Dr. Green revealed to be placed into her first ethical dilemma
when she noticed that Ava enrolled in her Introduction to Psychology class. At this time Dr. Green
should have noticed the severity of the conflict of interest emerging. She should have taken the correct
steps to move forward. According to NASW COE, social workers should be aware to avoid any
conflicts of interest that interfere with their exercises (1.06a). Dr. Green having Ava as her client and
student creates a conflict of interest that interfered in both her sessions and her classroom. Due to the
NASW COE principal interest of conflict, Dr. Green should continue to see Ava as her client, but not
as her student in her class. In this case study it reveals that Ava is currently coping through a tragedy.
She lost both of her parents, she is dealing with depression and has suicidal thoughts. Dr. Green is an
individual in her life that brought her comfort and stability. Ava believed that if it was not for Dr.
Green, she could not get through her issues. The case study later stated that Ava considered Dr. Green
as a surrogate mother because she confided in her. This is a key reason Dr. Green should keep Ava as a
client. Ava sees Dr. Green as a great resource in her life. Having Dr. Green as her Psychologist puts

Curfew Laws Do you think it s okay to stay out all night if you re not causing problems? Do you
really think that young teens our out causing problems? The state thinks it s a problem for children
under the age of 18 being out late without superfusion. Police officers say children that are out late are
most likely out doing things they not supposed to be doing.Curfew laws shouldn t be a law because
they are unfair to the children that don t cause problems and know how to act in public. Children
shouldn t be punished for things others are doing. On the one hand, some argue that curfew laws are
unfair to children that don t cause problems. It s unfair for all children that know how to behave to be
punished for what the children that don t have no home training actions. There should only be
consequences for those that don t know how to act in public, everyone shouldn t have to suffer for the
problems someone else is causing. Supports say teenagers shouldn t have a curfew because teenagers
need to hang out with their friends and at least go out In other words teens shouldn t have curfew
because children need to get out the house, some teens need to go out and kick it with their friends to
let out stress out and because teens can start to feel depressed for sitting in the house.Curfew laws are

Psoriasis Essay
Psoriasis is a skin disease and was first perceived as a distinct disease as early as 1808 [39]. The name
derives from the Greek psora meaning to itch [40]. The patients suffer impaired quality of life similar
to or worse than patients with other chronic diseases such as ischemic heart disease and diabetes [41].
Over the past 20 years, understanding of the disease mechanisms has most significantly and several
effective development of drugs for treatments to be developed. However, we still lack a cure for this
common and enigmatic disease and many patients experience significant side effects including skin
cancers in non lesional skin, abnormal renal function and liver abnormalities. It is anticipated that the
identification of genes or antigens responsible for the occurrence of psoriasis will increase our
understanding of its nature and make it possible to design drugs to increase patient compliance and
safety and to reduce medical costs. Staphylococcus aureus may be the major determinant of both
disease causation and severity through the production of its toxins, some of which act as super antigen
[42]. These super antigens stimulate T cells non specifically without normal antigenic recognition. ...

response of peripheral blood mononuclear cells to Staphylococcal enterotoxin B was significantly
higher in patients with active psoriasis than in normal subjects, while improvement in skin eruption
was associated with a decrease in lymphocyte response [47]. Although indirect experimental evidence
suggests that psoriasis can be caused by an aberrant keratinocyte metabolism leading to strong
proliferation, studies in several murine and human models of psoriasis have underlined the importance
of T cell derived cytokines in promoting keratinocyte proliferation

Comparison Of Bambi And The Lion King
The camera migrates into the forest passing various creatures with big, bulging, brown eyes. The
fluffy irresistible fur of the rabbits begs to be stroked. The rabbits skip away laughing leaving the
grass blowing in the cool breeze. Then, the camera travels to the right where an owl plays tag with a
speedy mouse under the blue sky. Finally, the technology races towards the sky revealing heart shaped
clouds. Peaceful scenes such as the one just described constantly appear in Disney films since Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs. However, when depicting nature, should unrealistic imagines occupy the
screen? Consider a political film such as Bambi, when making such an enormous statement regarding
hunting, should the film illustrate nature accurately? How about more recent movies such as The Lion
King? Parents take their prized possessions, their children, to see these shows. Children absorb their
information and experiences around them like a sponge. In addition, Disney and other films to this day
are instrumental in a minor s childhood. Considering the impact of the films, one would predict that
two popular Disney films, Bambi and The Lion King, would portray nature factually. Nonetheless,
The Lion King and Bambi both depict nature accurately.
Anthropomorphism. The attribution of human characteristics or behavior to an animal.
Anthropomorphism is used in both of the films being compared. Specifically, in Bambi, the artists
drew the animals with certain characteristics. As a

The Importance Of Art Museums In The 21st Century
Art museums are special and they can be anything to any certain person. Art museums have always
been a place where people can advance their knowledge about history or a place to preserve special
things. You can think of it to be a place that holds precious treasures. Art museums all over the world
have been a place for people to come together and socialize about what is being observed. There are
so many interpretations what art museums can hold which is amazing knowing people simply come to
visit museums to enjoy the beauty and inspiration behind the art shown. Art museums of the 21st
century have evolved as culture evolves and has shown us what type of art is being prioritized,
changed, and re thinks the purpose of museums, as well as how art museums are booming in which
they are being developed til this day.
Karsten Schubert s article, The Curator s Egg , tells us about the characteristics of these new museums
in terms of what is prioritized, sacrificed, and how museums acting like corporations can lead to
problematic issues. Schubert states, art for all has given way to the democracy of spectacle : an
ambition to be attractive to the greatest number of people at all costs. It seems as if new museums
have prioritized to showcase what the visitors would appreciate. As a millennial living in the 21st
century, I have witnessed that art museums have only seem to attract people if the installations and the
artwork are instagram worthy. Instead of focus there would be

The Rats With Food Deprivation Essay
Hypothesis:
Providing the rat with food deprivation will lead to body weight reduction and diminish anxiety
related behaviors, such as the increased incentive to feed in open, aversive environments.
Experiment/Method:
1. A total of 51 males and female Wistar rats are gathered into group housed Macrolon cages, where
they were under standard conditions such as, 12 hour light and dark time schedules, room temperature
environment, and given tap water every other day.
2. After every rat s individual body weight was measured, the animals were randomly distributed to
five independent experimental groups; each consisting of intervals of 16 hour, 24 hour, 48 hour of
food deprivation, 4 days of fixed time feeding, or ad libitum (self regulated) feeding.
a. The rats were transferred into single housing cages to establish a habituation setting.
b. Sixteen hours before the behavior experiment started, the rats in the fixed time feeding group
received food for 4 hours between 8:00 12 AM for four consecutive days.
c. The food deprived group s period was staggered to ensure that each individual group hadn t had any
food for the same time at the start of the behavior testing.
3. The first analysis of behavior testing was the Modified Open Field Test.
a. During the procedure, the rats were individually places in one corner of an illuminated white open
field (100 x 100 x 40 cm) with food pellets in the center.
b. Within a time period of 5 minutes, their behaviors that were analyzed are the

  • 2. Immanuel Kant s Philosophy On Philosophy People were lost. They did not know where and what to follow. Therefore, many philosophers came up with ideas to convince people to live ¨better¨. Rationalism related with the overview of mathematical approaches into philosophy during the period by the major rationalist figures such as Descartes, Leibniz and Spinoza developed people´s way of thinking in many different ways. Rationalism is perspective which engages the rational and deductive reason, an opposite structure from personal experience or teachings as the foundation of knowledge or rationalization. Therefore, the concept of rationalism relies on the knowledge that everyday life has a rational configuration in that all aspects of it can remain through facts and knowledge. Proverbs ... Kant refused the arguments from the empiricists, and kept his statement of reason itself is organized with practices of gained experience and classifications that provides a phenomenal and rational configuration to any possible item of empirical experience. Kant s famous statement of this duty says, Act only according to that maxim by which you can at the same time will that it should become a universal law. Lastly, the perception of Romanticism appeared in encounter with the Enlightenment within the society. The concept was too vague. Philosophers indicated human nature as constant being. The concept of Romanticism had also confronted the culture of church because it disagreed with the thought of human intention and the enlightenment. The philosophers of Romanticism argued and stopped certain church movement due to their various types of emotions and inspiration. Romanticism influenced the society in many religious ways. It mainly served for Roman Catholicism through its exterior characteristic. Romanticism also emphasized individualism. When God told the world to serve one another, Romanticism tried to solve the problem alone. God has allowed freedom of will to all human, yet He specifically stated to live to glorify His name. John 14:13 14 says, and I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Friedman s main argument in Aseptic Processing Contamination Case Studies and the Pharmaceutical Quality System is: The author concludes that the sterile dosage form contamination issues can emerge in the deficient design concepts and the daily operations of the pharmaceutical industry determine safety and efficacy of drug products by analysis of 8 case studies. In this paper, the following system deficiencies are mentioned: production system, packaging and labeling system, facilities and equipment system, material system, and lab control. What I learnt from this paper is the importance of supplier audit, rational design of validation method and facilities design. Firstly, supplier audit is important. Although the author ... Secondly, the rational design of validation method is very important. In the case study 1 Aseptic Processing of a Sterile Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) , the process simulation (i.e., media fill) program was not adequately representative of the actual manufacturing process. The process simulation validation program is used to detect and diagnose an existing source of contamination. However, some companies do not realize this usage, and the process simulation validation program designed does not reflect the actual situation of production. Not just only for the simulation validation, other validations, like analysis methodology validation, equipment performance qualification, also exist this kind of problem, that is, the method used to validate/qualify does not have a sufficient sensibility and representativeness. Many engineers do not know how to design the validation method; even they do not like to perform the validation, but FDA mandates to perform validation, so some of engineers copy with it just for FDA inspection, not for keeping the quality of production. It is clear to cause the waste of manpower, material and financial resources. Good validation design cannot only help to maintain a robust quality ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Though they are on the same continent, the two countries have significant differences with regards to their geography. Their geological features, climate, and environmental sustainability issues defer greatly. Nevertheless, when it comes to the hydrosphere, the two countries are almost similar with regards to closeness to the sea. While Holland borders the North Sea, Croatia borders the Adriatic Sea. • 5. Evolution Of Justice How has justice evolved throughout world history? When children are young they are expected to follow rules precisely and if they break a rule, then they are typically forced to take a timeout. In a child s eyes, a time out is a horrible and miserable time when they are compelled to think about what they did wrong. But even though a timeout is considered harsh in the child s eyes it still establishes justice between the child who broke the rule and who was affected by that child s choice. As the child grows older, it realizes that justice doesn t have to established through a set of rules, but that justice can be achieved through kindness. In the same way, the idea of justice has changed over time in the way of justice has become less strict ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this example, Jesus is giving a sermon to people from various areas of Africa. Therefore, whoever breaks even the smallest of the commandments and teaches others to do the same will be least in the kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, whoever obeys the Law, and teaches others to do the same will be great in the kingdom of heaven (The Sermon on the Mount 30 C.E.). This exemplifies that if one was to break a commandment, he would face little to no severe punishment. Although the individual would face little punishment, if they did nothing to make the situation right they would face punishment spiritually or after death. However, Jesus did not only ensure punishment but also made good promises for those who were obedient. (God speaking to Moses) From this you know that now, if you obey my voice and hold fast to my covenant, you of all the nations shall be my very own for all the earth is mine. I will count you a kingdom of priests, a consecrated nation (The Covenant Code, Exodus 20:19 23:33). This portrays that those who did not obey God s covenant would not receive the good things that he promised but they would, however, get away with facing little punishment physically. On the whole, throughout history, justice becomes less about relentlessly punishing and following every rule word for word but more about benefitting from being ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Schober et al. reports further research needs to be conducted to address long term effects of using electronic cigarettes. Furthermore, the instructors would also glance at Victor more often than they would look at the other initiates. With just this information Mitch was able to break through Victor s guise and figure out that he was an undercover instructor. Mitch was also able to conclude that Victor was trying to determine who the weak trainees were. Being able to do this took an enormous amount of logical thinking and awareness. When this information is paired with the fact that Mitch was constantly tired and underfed from training as well as being viciously gibed at by the instructors, it is incredible how he was able to piece together the clues to discover that Victor was undercover. Barriers to Entry: The athletic footwear industry is a very competitive and mature market. The leaders of this industry are very well established. Leaders like Nike, Reebok, and Adidas have made the industry what it is today. In order to have an edge over the leaders, companies must be able to compete at all levels such as reasonable pricing, efficient production, and high product quality. These things are difficult to achieve without the resources of an established manufacturer. Another key barrier to entry is the access of traditional distribution channels. Lesser known brands are viewed by retailers as being too risky to replace an established brand name like Nike or Reebok on the shelf. Thus, high startup costs, lack of distribution channels, brand equity and cutthroat environment hinder the entry of new competitors. Non Price Competition: In a monopolistically competitive market like that of footwear industry, there is just a slight difference between the products manufactured by various companies such as Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Puma etc., and hence the companies rely heavily on non price competition. They mainly use advertising to flaunt their products and try to get consumers to buy their product over another. The goal of product differentiation and advertising (non price competition) is to make price less of a factor in consumer purchases and make product differences a greater factor. There is a lot of non price competition ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Public Service Personal Statement Growing up, my parents instilled the value of service in me. For this reason, I pursued a degree in Education in order to serve my community with the best skillset. However, it was until serving as an AmeriCorps member that I developed a more critical lens to what public service means. Before my term of service, I thought serving was just a matter of showing up and completing a task. While this is partially true, I learned that in order to maximize change, it is important to involve who we are serving. At times, we focus more on quantity rather than quality and end up doing a disservice to communities who need the most help. I want to serve with The Peace Corps to facilitate change and to empower communities through education. My summer abroad in Guatemala, showed me the challenges and implications that come with teaching English as a Foreign Language. • 10. The Wrongful Convictions Of Innocent Men And Women We hear in the news about police misconduct, use of excessive force, embezzlement, but one thing I found while researching what I should write this paper on is the Wrongful convictions of innocent men and women, that spend years in prison being innocent, and there is nothing that gets done till it s too late. Some wrongful convictions are honest mistakes, but many times law enforcement and prosecutors lose sight of the obligation of ensuring truth and justice, and are focused on their conviction rates. As with any job, they are honest people and ones that just don t care and are corrupt, this exists in the criminal justice system. One way to prove someone is innocent now is through DNA testing, but even at all levels of a criminal investigation there could be misconduct or mishandling of evidence, which then causes the evidence to become compromised. One thing I notice is a lot of the misconduct is by the arresting officers or detectives that are investigating the crime. The ways an office can have misconduct that could lead to false convictions, include suggestions when conducting interviews, coercing false confessions, lying to jurors about observations, failing to turn over evidence. Common forms of misconduct by a prosecutor can include, withhold evidence from defense, mishandling, mistreating or destroying evidence, allowing witnesses that they know are not truthful to testify, Pressing Witnesses of the defense to not testify, relying on fraudulent forensic experts. ... The Political Role Of Women In Mesopotamian Women Regardless of the discrepancies and inconsistencies, Mesopotamian women had an unprecedented sovereignty and great potential for dominance, they were assigned a number of central political roles that influenced politics and social life. Mesopotamian pantheon, temple of Ishtar and Ziggurat at Ur, that many respected divinities including Ishtar, the goddess of war and love, who was believed to be the goddess of Uruk and the bordering territories, goddess Ninsun, Gilgamesh s mother who served as his consultant as a mother would consult with her son in our modern day, Aruru goddess of birth, Nisaba goddess of grain, Ereshkigal the queen, Belit Seri the underworld goddess and others. The presence of these goddesses and priestesses indicates the large scale in diversification of functions and duties and illustrates women s dominance over the hierarchical system. The social, political, and religious order that existed in ancient Mesopotamia is deeply rooted in the power invested in the temple under women s leadership and their great capacity to influence the city state s affairs and its fiscal responsibility. Gilgamesh s despotic behavior reached its climax and the need for extreme measures to bring about progressive but significant changes was overdue. The grievances against Gilgamesh precipitated a fast and effective response from goddess Aruru to curtail Gilgamesh s tyranny and left the curse over Uruk inhabitant, this does not only personifies the protectorate territory of women over life and death but also human enculturation, industrialization and civility in the form of rearing children and preparing them for future responsibilities. By creating a savage Enkidu who will be eventually brought into civilization, thank you Shamhat, and challenge Gilgamesh to conquer his fear and acquire morality makes women the pious change makers. The conventional interpretation of these verses assumes that he is exploiting lassies of Uruk for his sexual fantasies does not leave a girl to her mother is contrary to the law of nature and reduces women to simple sex object. • 14. Questions On Criminal Procedure Code 4.12 Section 433 Criminal Procedure Code Power to commute sentence Referring, to pardon it means to forgive a person of his offence. The word pardon has been defined as an act of grace, advancing from the power assigned with the execution of the law, which excuses the individual on whom it is conferred upon, from the punishment the law imposes for a crime he has committed. It affects both the punishment proposed for the offence and the guilt of the offender. In other words, grant of pardon wipes off the guilt of accused and brings him to the original position of innocence as if he had never committed the offence for which he was charged. Under Indian law, the President of India and the Governors of States have been given the power to grant pardons, reprieves, respites or remissions of punishment or to suspend, remit or commute the sentence. The law governing grant of pardon is contained in Articles 72 and 161 of the Constitution. 4.12(1) Granting of pardon may be of two kinds. Absolute Absolute pardon may mark out the guilt itself. It does not lead to an acquittal unless the Court directs. The accused is discharged permanently without demanding any condition to be fulfilled. Conditional In conditional pardon, the offender is let off subject to certain conditions. The violation of these conditions will lead to renewal of his sentence and he shall be exposed to the unexhausted portion of his punishment. 4.12(2) Jurisprudence of Granting pardon The philosophy ... The Women Of The Early Religion Ruiwen Chu Paul Tchir 10811862 Assignment 2 Nov 2, 2015 The Women States in the Early Religion The woman as a divine being and a consolidator of every belief that adheres to divinity is defined and explained in both Karen Christina Lang s Images of Women in Early Buddhism and Christian Gnosticism and in Elaine Pagels The Gnostic Gospels. As analysis of religious beliefs, the works define the religious and cultural relevance of the woman in the origins of both Buddhism and Gnosticism, as well as the effects that the patriarchal society has changed in this original belief system. Both literatures assert that the role of the woman in religion serve the purpose of being the divine or the evidence that Gnosticism is a symbol of the feminine, of celebrating the woman as the most significant element that created the world view as well as beliefs. The traditions set forth by both Buddhism and Christian Gnosticism all adhere to the celebration of the woman, her power, her purity, and her importance in shaping the world, and the men who have to purposely oblige to this belief and to create the tradition which the community should follow. Hence, both Lang and Pagels identified that woman, in her own vestal powers, is the main exhibitor of religious participation as well as the symbol of wisdom in humanity. Dept of ECE, MTECH student, VITS, JABALPUR, M.P., INDIA, 2 Dept of ECE, H.O.D., VITS, JABALPUR, M.P., INDIA, ABSTRACT: The demands for high bandwidth high speed application are growing at a faster rate and with the minimum tolerance of error. To enhance available bandwidth and improve the quality of transmission convolution codes are used on the OFDM (Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) communication system over AWGN channel. In OFDM (Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) systems with channel equalization play a key role in overcoming distortions caused by phenomena like fading, delay spread and multipath effects. A new framework for designing robust adaptive filters is introduced. A series of review papers were already available to provide a history of the development of the field until the end of the last decade. During survey of work we have found that different authors have developed separate methods to solve the purpose. So from the study of various papers we can easily conclude that there is not any unique method. Hence in this work we come across to develop new adaptive channel equalization OFDM algorithm to solve the purpose using MATLAB. KEYWORDS: LMS, NLMS, OFDM, CONVOLUTIONAL CODING, ISI, Channel estimation. I. INTRODUCTION: These days communication requires a very high rate with high reliability. • 18. Pride And Prejudice Displacements In my final paper I will argue that the displacement of social class appears in three way: gender role, marriage and places. The displacement plays a major role in the novel because it encourages people in society break the restrictions and achieve the life they want. First of all, at that time, women s behaviors are absolutely important, and their sole purpose in life is to find a husband, reproduce and then spend the rest of their lives serving him. Nevertheless, Elizabeth believes that women have the right to be the independent until they meet the right man. She looks for a man without paying attention to his wealth and goes against her mother s belief, which is the displacement of her obligation as a child. In addition, Jane Austen uses love to reveal how the characters overcome numerous obstacles. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, throughout the novel, Elizabeth and Mr. Bingley displace their ideals and class in order to be together. Pemberley, which is a geographic symbol of the novel, makes Elizabeth see Mr. Darcy s true character through his home. Elizabeth learns that Mr. Darcy is a kind master to his servants and is solicitous for the well being of his little sister. He keeps his estate well maintained and is obviously a dutiful and responsible guardian of his familial property. This is until now, the first time I ever heard of the personal project was the first time I came to Carson Graham. Our school in grade seven brought us to this massive school in which we had no clue about why we were actually there. The first presentation I saw was someone who built a robot that could follow lights for direction. The thought that I had to do this project in grade ten scared me, I had no clue what I really wanted to do. This was until I started thinking about it more and one thought came into my mind, that was to create Goal Line Technology. This form of technology was quite new at the time, this was because they just announced that they were going to start using it in one of the top five leagues in Europe, the first league to incorporate it was the Barclay s Premier League. It can be explained as a tendency of making unreflective , spontaneous, immediate, kinetic, unplanned and sudden purchases. Impulse buying has got two parts cognitive and affective where cognitive is related with planning and latter one with situational factors leading to an impulse purchase. It provides hedonic reinforcement and reduces overload of selection. It is revealed that cognitive component of impulse buying is negatively related with subjective wellbeing, whereas affective component is associated to negative affect and customer susceptibility to interpersonal influence. It was concluded by exploring relation of impulse buying with individual traits. To understand the true heart and soul of a person, one must first understand who it is that they hope to become. As George Bernard Shaw once said, Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself. All people have something they strive toward and hope to become. Horses have become for me the symbol of everything I want to be in life, strength, determination, and compassion. Throughout the ages horses have been a powerful symbol of strength and fearlessness. Equines are some of the mightiest creatures in the world. It was the strength of the horse that helped to revolutionize the world as we know it. Able to carry over thirty percent of their body weight and pull over one hundred and fifty percent of their body weight, horses are an impressive symbol of physical strength. Many stories and paintings have depicted the incredible power that horses represent. Correspondingly, Job 39:19 22 says, Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting? It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. A young women s introduction to menstruation are constructed by both positive and negative perceptions and are then perpetuated by the influences of culture, religion, family members, and the media (Rembeck, Möller Gunnarsson, 2006; Roberts, 2004). • 39. Differences Between New England Middle And Southern Colonies There are three different colonial regions, New England, The Middle Colonies, and The South. Each of them consist of different states. New England includes New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The Middle Colonies have New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The South consists of Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia. They all differ when it comes to economic, social and political factors. New England had the most developed economy and culture. They had poor soil full of stones, hilly lands and long winters made agriculture hard for them. They heavily relied on the ocean, using it for water powered mills, harbors, trading, and fishing. However, because they couldn t go the agricultural way, they relied on the middle and southern colonies to provide their food. Their rapid growth led to towns and schools. Their social life consisted of town meetings, after their town halls were built. They had a local self government and most of the freemen participated in this at some point, although the wealthy freemen hardly represented their people. Compared to ... • 41. The Irish Poetry and Postcolonialism Ireland was a British colony for more than seven centuries, for this time it was hidden their native identity, as well as their language. The British colonizers imposed not only their language but also their culture. In 1922, it was signed the Treaty in which Ireland was considered a free state. As and introduction to Heaney poems, I will use a poem of Yeats, who is the poet that starts to talk about postcolonial themes. Maybe Yeats was one the most important figures in the reconstruction of the Irish identity. He represents the relationship between Ireland and Britain in his poem Leda and the Swan . Both his father and his grandfather are working the land, that land which has a special meaning to the Irish identity because it is the place were they were born and it was free of the British control. The new potatoes in the poem represent the new expectation to Ireland. However, the Irish identity is not the only interpretation of poem. It is also represented the opposition between the cultural life and the life of hard work in the land. Heaney does not think he will be able to use the spade like his and his grandfather, that means he is not going to dig with a spade but he is going to dig into the historical present of Ireland with his pen which is the weapon that he uses against the British colonization. In his poem A Northern hoard he talks about the Irish Great Famine of 1845 , in which many Irish died and many other had to leave the country. In the first part of the poem we can see which is entitled Roots makes reference to the old Gomorrah which the town that was punished by God. • 43. Ethical Dilemma In Social Work Dual relationships are very controversial within all helping professions. It can bring positive and negative components to a situation. There should always be a clear boundary and form of consent and agreement set by the social worker, or any health service professional to their client. However in some cases, it is vital for a client and work professionals to establish a relationship. This is an important component for a successful session or procedure. In this paper, I will discuss the ethical dilemma revealed between Dr. Green, the Psychologist and teacher, and the client, 19 year old, Ava Jones. Based upon Dr. Green s behavior, I consider her actions to be wrong but understandable. Established by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics (COE), the principle being compromised is the conflict of interest. Dr. Green initially formed a clear relationship with her client when she was only her Psychologist. Dr. Green revealed to be placed into her first ethical dilemma when she noticed that Ava enrolled in her Introduction to Psychology class. At this time Dr. Green should have noticed the severity of the conflict of interest emerging. She should have taken the correct steps to move forward. According to NASW COE, social workers should be aware to avoid any conflicts of interest that interfere with their exercises (1.06a). Dr. Green having Ava as her client and student creates a conflict of interest that interfered in both her sessions and her classroom. Due to the NASW COE principal interest of conflict, Dr. Green should continue to see Ava as her client, but not as her student in her class. In this case study it reveals that Ava is currently coping through a tragedy. She lost both of her parents, she is dealing with depression and has suicidal thoughts. Dr. Green is an individual in her life that brought her comfort and stability. Ava believed that if it was not for Dr. Green, she could not get through her issues. The case study later stated that Ava considered Dr. Green as a surrogate mother because she confided in her. This is a key reason Dr. Green should keep Ava as a client. Ava sees Dr. Green as a great resource in her life. Having Dr. Green as her Psychologist puts Ava s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Comparison Of Bambi And The Lion King The camera migrates into the forest passing various creatures with big, bulging, brown eyes. The fluffy irresistible fur of the rabbits begs to be stroked. The rabbits skip away laughing leaving the grass blowing in the cool breeze. Then, the camera travels to the right where an owl plays tag with a speedy mouse under the blue sky. Finally, the technology races towards the sky revealing heart shaped clouds. Peaceful scenes such as the one just described constantly appear in Disney films since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. However, when depicting nature, should unrealistic imagines occupy the screen? Consider a political film such as Bambi, when making such an enormous statement regarding hunting, should the film illustrate nature accurately? How about more recent movies such as The Lion King? Parents take their prized possessions, their children, to see these shows. Children absorb their information and experiences around them like a sponge. In addition, Disney and other films to this day are instrumental in a minor s childhood.
