Medical Office Research Paper
Computers Medical Offices Anyone who has either worked in the healthcare field or who have made a
visit to a medical facility for patient care have likely seen or experience the advancement of
technology for healthcare operations and patient care delivery. A testament to this fact is the use of
computers in medical offices usage encompasses the front and back office operations. Two examples,
of how medical staff uses computers is for registering patients and entering diagnostic results such as
lab test(Colorado Technical University, 2017). Electronic Health Records (EHR) One of the most
transcending advances that technology has allotted the healthcare field is the use of Electronic Health
Records (EHR). Simply stated, EHRs are a contemporary approach to storing patient s information by
exchanging paper for technology (Colorado Technical University, 2017; HealthIT, 2017). Among the
information that found in E H R s include Administrative and billing data; Patient demographics;
Progress notes; Vital signs; Medical histories; Diagnoses Medications; Immunization dates; Allergies;
Radiology images; and Lab and test result (HealthIT, 2017). Thus, the ramifications for inaccurate
information can have far reaching impacts not just to medical operations but also to a patient s health.

Was Claudius An Effective Ruler
In this essay we are going to discuss whether Claudius was an effective ruler. In order to achieve an
answer to this, we will also discuss how he governed his empire and how he went about
administrating laws and provinces.
To start with, however, it is best to briefly introduce Claudius before he became emperor. This will
help us to understnad his situation and how past events effected his ruling.
Claudius was the great nephew of Augustus, and so was part of the most important family in rome at
the time. From a young age Claudius was physically and mentally challenged, and due to this he was
the out cast of his family, everyone including Augustus believed him to be an embaressment. Augustus
also done him no favours, he didn t give ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With this Claudius appointed freemen to certain secretarial offices, however, he wasn t the first
emperor to do so, augustus before him also found it better to work through permanant non senatorial
officials than through senatorial magistrates. Although Claudius and augustus are similar in the way
they appointed their officials, there is one major difference, this being that Claudius allowed his
officials, freedmen, to influence him. Now straight away we can see how this would have angered the
senate, because they had gone through the correct path on the Cursus Honourum, where as these
freedmen were just given powerful positions by giving his most important tasks to his freedmen, this
ensured the emperoros independence of both senate and the equestrian order. It also seems, with the
dominant influence the freedmen had on Claudius, that many acts and judgements weren t his own,
they were dictated by his wives and freedmen, he practically always obeyed their whims rather than
his own judgement. Subsequently, we can say that Claudius looked as though he was a mere puppet,
and the real rulers were his wives and freedmen. Claudius fell so deeply under the influence of these
freedmen and wives that he seemed to be their servant rather than their emperor. This is also a good
reason as to why many acts put forth were in favour of the population of rome, because these
freedmen were of such low

Federal Reserve Operations And Market Impact
Federal Reserve Operations and Market Impact In order for the Federal Reserve to fulfill their goal of
moderate long term interest rates, stable prices and maximum employment, they rely on developing
strategic changes to the monetary policy. Through monetary policy changes, the Federal Reserve can
either restrict or encourage economic growth and inflation, thereby molding the macroeconomy into a
state of consistent health. Overall, there are three tools used to modify the monetary policy, they
include reserve requirements, discount rates, and open market operations. In an effort to promote price
stability within the economy, these tools influence monetary conditions by affecting interest rates,
credit availability, money supply and security prices. While one tool is use more frequently than the
others, all three are necessary in establishing stable economic conditions.
Reserve Requirement The reserve requirement is a tool used by the Federal Reserve to adapt the
monetary policy to their target range. Reserve requirements control the minimum amount of funds a
depository intuition is required to maintain against their liabilities (Federal Reserve, n.d).
Furthermore, the reserve requirement is usually tied into a ratio of transaction accounts the depository
institutions holds. Consequently, a decrease in the reserve requirement allows institutions to hold less
funds enabling them to loan out a greater percentage, thereby increasing the funds available within the

Narby Research Chapter 5 Summary
Objective: In this chapter Narby researches past findings of intelligence in animals and plants. Some
examples include the self awareness of dolphins and crows creating tools. Narby s definition of
intelligence seems to change to being capable of consciously making decisions.
Subjective: One part of this chapter I was able to associate to was the part about parrots answering
questions. I could relate to this because I remember seeing a parrot identify shapes once while I was
on vacation. Initially it blew my mind, but I later convinced myself it was a routine, however now it
makes sense, parrots are capable of learning.
i) The problem with these definitions of intelligence, is that they can only be applied to humans. So
based off of these definitions, no other species can be intelligent even if they act in such ways that
would require intelligence (43 44) ii) Monod didn t believe there was intelligence in nature. He
thought the scientific method meant that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Much like the scientists in previous chapters, Martin Giurfa thinks bees are much more than the
machines they had been referred to as by Monod. Narby mentions how Giurfa s studies showed that
bees could grasp abstract concepts like identifying corresponding images to find a reward. The bees
were even able to figure out to recognize and match new patterns after the original image was
changed.
Subjective: I am conflicted about this experiment because it s cool and cruel at the same time. I think
it s cool that bees are able to learn to match corresponding images to find food, meaning that they are
able to learn new processes for finding food. However, it is also cruel because Narby mentions that
once the bees got to the food, they repeatedly tried flying straight up, hitting a plexiglass cover,
instead of exiting through the tubes. This means that even though the bees were successful, they

Medieval Theology Texts
Medieval Theology Texts Final Exam
1. Both Bernard of Clairvaux and Bonaventure show an appreciation for the natural world not seen in
many of the other authors that we read. In what way does this appreciation guide their theologies and
mystical journeys? How are their journeys similar and how are they different? Be sure to touch on
their understandings of human nature and each author s methodologies.
The natural world plays an important role in Bernard of Clairvaux s theological life. According to
Bernard of Clairvaux, love is one of the passions and what is natural should be at the service of the
Lord of nature. There are 4 degrees of love, and the first one is when man loves himself for his own
sake. Because nature has become rather frail and weak, man is driven by necessity to serve nature
first. It results in bodily love and such bodily animal that does not know how to love anything but
himself begins to love God for his own benefit, because he learns from frequent experience that in
God he can do everything which is good for him, and without God he can do nothing. The second
degree of love is when man loves God for his own good. Man loves good for his own sake, not God s.
The wise man will know what he can do by himself and what he can do only with God s help, and
then people will avoid hurting him who keeps you from getting hurt. The third degree is when man
loves God for God s sake. As man needs God more frequently, the taste of his own sweetness leads us
to love

Film Analysis Of The Cinematic Style Of Tim Burton
Cinematic Style Tim Burton, the successful director, began his wonderful journey through life on
August 25, 1958, in Burbank, California. From his childhood, Burton was nose deep into filmmaking.
At the age of thirteen, this young teenager created a short animated film called The Island of Doctor
Agor. Movie consumed his whole life. He even met his second wife on the set of Ed Wood and Mars
Attack! Afterwards, Burton was the author of amazing films such as Batman, Batman Returns, Ed
Wood, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Director
Tim Burton s style is dark humor and childlike innocence, as evidenced in his movies Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands, and Nightmare Before ... Show more content on

Burton s unique style in these three movies is also demonstrated well by lighting. First, there is a
segment in the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when one of the winners, Augustus, falls into
Willy Wonka s chocolate river and then gets sucked up a tube during a low key lighting sequence.
This occurs to be a slightly humorous situation because there are six adults standing on the scene of
the accident, and none of them are doing anything. On the contrary, it was probably an amazing
experience for Augustus because not everyone gets to find themselves in a river full of chocolate.
Next, in another one of Burton s movies, Edward Scissorhands, the main character, Edward, gets low
tempered and rips the curtains and wallpaper in the house while in bottom side lighting. The situation
alerts the audience because of Edward s unsophisticated behavior in the unpleasant position. The man
his already dangerous enough when he is in a good mood. Finally, in The Nightmare Before
Christmas, Jack was walking in the graveyard in low key lighting. It s scary because there s a skeleton
walking on top of dead people in the night on Halloween. It can t get scarier than that! All in all,
Burton s style is evident through his good use of lighting. Music and sound demonstrate Burton s style
through anti visual aspects. For instance, there was diegetic sound when people were clapping outside
of the factory gates when the factory opened in the movie Charlie and

Since the founding of Vogue in 1892, its covers and glossy contents have featured the changing faces
of fashion, from models and actresses of the era to musicians, writers and businesswomen from all
over the world. It is clear that editors of Vogue magazine, published by Condé Nast have understood
the changing world of fashion we live in, where the achievements and lives of famous aspirational
women began to overshadow the now tiresome , dull supermodel era under the instruction of Vogue s

Wintour attended North London Collegiate, an independent girls school, in which Wintour spent many
years rebelling against authority by experimenting with fashion and reportedly dated older men which
gave her good connections within the London club circuit . At the young age of sixteen she left school

Leasehold Improvements
DR. Depreciation Expense $12,205
CR. Accumulated Depreciation Leasehold improvements $12,205
Calculations: To reconcile the accounts as at August 31/09:
(2008) $86,688.78/10(Years useful life) = $8,668.88(Accumulated Depreciation)
(2009) $86,688.78 $8,688.88 = $78019.90 + $21,455.15(2009 Expense) = $99,475.05
$99,475.05/9(Remaining years of useful life) = $11,052.78(Accumulated Depreciation)
(2010) $99,475.05 $11,052.78 = $88,422.27 + $45,832.84 (2010 Expense) = $134,255.11

Troy Tulowitzki aka Tulo As baseball season right around the corner some teams are in need of
offence and defense. People say the best way person to full these jobs is Troy Tulowitzki. Experts call
him the best shortstop of our time. But is he really? What is he worth? Should you trade for him? Is
Tulo really the best shortstop of our time? Let s take a close look at this statement. In so far a ten year
career, he has hit 232 doubles, 24 triples, 193 homeruns, with an outstanding 674 runs batted in
(RBIs). With an overall batting average with a pleasant .297. Just shy of that perfect .300. Also he is a
five time all star. Including 2 Gold Gloves and 2 Silver Sluggers. Lastly Tulo as committed 74 errors
in 10 years with an unassisted triple play only 8 others players have done that in this history of the
MLB. Honus Wagner is the best shortstop ever. In ten years of his career he has Wagner hit 348
doubles in his first ten years, he hit 125 triples, hit 49 home runs, Honus had 923 RBIs, with an above
perfect batting average of .345 but a sad 326 errors. Wagner never saw an all star game and never won
an award. Tulo is a bit under Honus Wagner but it was a different game. When Wagner played games
went 22 innings and they always played because only 10 people were on a team. But Troy is way
above Honus in defense. Troy usually leads in fewest errors is a perennial Gold Glove winner. As you
can tell Tulo puts up good numbers and even is better than the best shortstop ever in most subjects. ...

A Brief Note On Journalism And Technology On Our Lives
Kevin Koeshartono Professor Benoit Elements of Journalism 2 November 2014 Journalism and
Technology Every year technology is continuing to advance further and further. The way we live our
lives ten years ago compared to how we live our lives today is vastly different. In this day and age,
everything is so instant. If we want information, we don t have to wait to get to a library to read a
book about it. We don t even have to wait to go home to use our computers to google something
anymore. Anything we need or want to know, we have access to in the palm of our hands.
Smartphones have allowed people to have access to the internet as fast as they can unlock their phones
and open up an application. Everything has become about instant gratification. There idea of waiting
to do anything anymore is obsolete. With this advancement of technology, there is a rise in the use of
social media sites such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Google+, etc. Everyone now has instant
connections with everyone. Communication has never been easier. With the combination of
smartphones and social media sites, a majority of the population spends a startling amount of time
staring at their phones. The idea of staying connected to everyone has consumed the population. With
the introduction of social media sites, everyone is constantly updating their status or tweeting what
they are doing. So how does this connect to news? More and more people are spending time on these

Student Loan System For College Students
Student Loan System Throughout the ages, society has evolved to overcome the challenges it faces

undergone a vast number of changes; however, mankind has never undermined the importance and
necessity of a complex and well educated society. Moreover, it is the duty of each one of us to make
sure that the next generation takes a step further than the previous one. With this in mind, society has
understood the importance of higher education for the future. Yet, the hesitation we witness today to

ignored, as it has a direct impact on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first place, the interest rates have been rigged to increase dramatically in a very short period of
time. The interest on the student loans has increased substantially resulting in huge debts for the
outgoing graduate. These rates have skyrocketed, The average student loan debt was $18,550 in 2004;
this figure has doubled over the decade and now represents a 56% increase compared to the previous
decade and we are fully aware that paying off such a debt would take a lifetime and is very difficult
(End The Debt). This has begun giving graduate students the feeling of a never ending debt. Due to
this, there are a huge number of high school students who are re considering a college degree, even
though they are fully aware of the necessity of qualification for many jobs.
An interesting fact is how the student loan system has made a conscious effort to incorporate
international students to finance their full time MBA degrees. An example of this would be, The
Simon Business School at the University of Rochester in New York is offering a student loan program,
with student loans ranging from $1,000 to the full cost of tuition this is a very useful benefit to
international students (Other News).
However, it has become extremely complicated for Muslim students to even access these student loans
as Muslim students cannot claim a student loan mainly due to their religious belief that prevent them

Inner Circle Matters
How are you training the people around you to be water carriers? My first thought is that your inner
circle matters. One can look at my leadership and see a considerable amount of time has been placed
in making sure the right people are influencing my most inner thoughts and beliefs. For example, the
criterion that governs my inner circle is simple, they have to be smarter, faster, and more like Jesus
than I am. As I have begun to place people like this in my inner circle (some call this their board of
directors) I see the value of carrying both buckets. I am keenly aware that one must calm situations

in a post in an earlier week that people already have the answers, all I have to do is ask the right

that space is needed to discover their potential. In mentoring we tell people how to either pour water

Network Is The Cooperative Engagement Of A Collection Of...
An ad hoc network is the cooperative engagement of a collection of mobile nodes without the required
intervention of any existing infrastructure or centralized access point. A wireless sensor network is
spatially distributed autonomous sensors which is used to monitor physical or environmental
conditions, such as temperature, sound, pressure, etc. and to cooperatively pass their data through the
network to a main location. Many ad hoc routing protocols and wireless sensor routing protocols are
based on some variant of flooding. Despite various optimizations, many routing messages are
propagated unnecessarily or some of the routing messages does not reach all the nodes in the network.
To overcome such problems we are proposing an adaptive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A sensor network is capable of processing, sensing and communicating which helps the base station or
command node to observe and react according to the condition in a particular environment (physical,
battle field, biological).
Sensor network protocols have a unique capability self organizing. Another interesting feature of
wireless sensor networks is that the sensor nodes cooperate with each other. Sensor nodes have an in
built processor, using which before transmission raw data is processed. These features facilitate wide
range of applications of wireless sensor networks like biomedical, environmental, military, event
detection and vehicular telematics.
Wireless networks of sensors are very much likely to be widely deployed in the future because they
greatly extend our ability to control and monitor the physical environment from remote locations.
Such networks can greatly improve the accuracy of information obtained via collaboration among
sensor nodes and online information processing at those nodes. Wireless sensor networks can also
improve remote access to sensor data by providing sink nodes that connect them to other networks,
such as the Internet, using wide area wireless links. If the sensors share their observations and
processes then that meaningful and useful information is available at the sink nodes, so users can
retrieve information from the sink nodes to monitor and control the environment from afar.

and serial killer in 1999, he admitted to the rape and murder of 140 young boys. The number of his

of the high number of victims.
Once captured he was subjected to Colombias maximum penalty which was 30 year. However as he
confessed the crimes and helped authorities locate the bodies, Colombain law allowed him to apply

Luis Alfredo Garavito was born on 25 January 1957 in Genova, Quindio, Colombia. He is the oldest
of seven brothers, and apparently suffered physical and emotional abuse by his father. In his
testimony, he described being a victim of sexual abuse when young.
Garavito just had 5 years of schooling and left home at 16, worked first as a store clerk, and then as
street vendor selling religious icons and prayer cards. As an adult Garavito drifted from job to job. In
order for Garavito to gain the trust of his victims he give them soft drinks and money.
1992 apparently Garavito committed his first murder, at the time authorities didn t allege
Garavito as a serial killer. Until in western city of Pereira they found 25 bodies of course mostly all of
the victims were boys between eight and sixteen. Each body was found with there throat slit and
showed signs of torture and rape, many of the kids were poor and were children of local street vendors
or homeless. Garavito also passed himself as a monk, a indigent, a disabled person or as a
representative of fictitious foundation for the elderly and children education.

A Great Mistake Of The Athenians
This was a great mistake of the Athenians, as Thucydides claims, most of them (Athenians) being
ignorant of its (Sicily) size and of the number of its inhabitants, Hellenic and barbarian, and of the fact
that they were undertaking a war not much inferior to that against the Peloponnesians . So, Athens
undervalued Sicily and overvalued their (the Athenians) greatness. Nicias tried to warn citizens about
the wealth and strength of the Sicilian states enemies they would have to challenge, and insisted on a
great preparation and investments in the expedition to make it possible. He also added: Indeed, even if
we leave Athens with a force not only equal to that of the enemy except in the number of heavy
infantry in the field, but even at all points superior to him, we shall still find it difficult to conquer
Sicily or save ourselves .
The preparation for the expedition began and the departure to Sicily took place. It worth saying that all
Athenians were taking part in preparation, the government and citizens did their best. Indeed this
armament that first sailed out was by far the most costly and splendid Hellenic force that had ever
been sent out by a single city up to that time .
Alcibiades, one of the generals of the expedition, had a lot of enemies in Athens, due to his luxury life
and desire to get as much fame as possible. So, before the departure of expedition his enemies tried to
do everything to implicate him in scandals and expose. All in all Alcibiades was

The Movie The Joey Sat On The Tile Right
The Joey sat on the tile right by the warmth of the fire. He actually had a much longer history with
Genie, so he had been invited to the gathering and as it seemed he must have been on the guest list
expecting to arrive late. He had a subtlety macabre upbeat demeanor, with a sharp whit that snapped
stronger than the crackle from the fireplace. He demonstrated his problem solving skills as he offered
ideas and suggestions about the tire on the car while committing himself to helping them once again in
the Am. To my eye, The Joey looked like a snowboarder warming up by the evening fire in a log cabin
wearing thick warm felted wool. I stared at his olive skin tinting from the fire that dancing on his face.
As an artist I naturally scan people and objects with my eyes until the whole picture is complete and
clear in front of me. My investigation revealed his woolen winter clothes with Teva style sandals and
no socks. I laughed to myself, remember all the times I bundled up for the cool and did not have the
energy left to put on socks or wasn t able to find any clean. I did not resist the urge to comment. The
Joey was quick and quick witted. He explained that he was dressed for winter everywhere else, so why
would his feet be cold. I have said this to others before. I was officially intrigued. There was a warm
sensation in my stomach, which had been so damp and cold since Mr. Wonderful departure. I didn t
recognize it at first: this has been the first evening out since my car

Florida Vs. North Carolina
Florida vs. North Carolina Legislature Comparison Paper
I chose these two states to compare because they are the states I have lived in throughout my life and
are significant to me. I was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and lived there until I was 10 years
old. My step father received a job offer in Islamorada, Florida and we decided to move. I lived there
until I graduated high school, following which I came to Orlando to go to college.
Elections are a major aspect of the State Government, with new representatives of the elections board
being elected every four years in North Carolina and eight years in Florida. As far as impact on term
limits, there s not a problem with having no limit on terms in Florida because if the representative is
doing a good job then it would be acceptable to have them stay in office. Corruption or abuse of
power aren t nearly as big of issues because the power of State legislatures lacks severely in
comparison to federal power, so typically corrupt officials wouldn t want to stay in the state
department. The Florida Department of State s Division of Elections provides administrative help to
the Secretary of State, Florida s Chief Election Officer, to ensure that Florida has just, prompt, and
accurate elections. There is also a Director s office whose mission is to provide statewide coordination
and direction for the interpretation and enforcement of election laws, and to provide supervision to the
Bureaus in the Division. The Division is made

The Devaluation And Depreciations Of Australian Dollar...
This article is mainly focus on the devaluation and depreciations of Australian dollar against US
dollar, euro, pound and yen comparing in terms of floating exchange rate. The phenomena behind
fixed exchange rate and floating rate is; fixed exchange rate is a rate that is set or fixed by the
government or central bank to maintain its currency against gold or another major currency such US
dollar or the currency basket. In fixed exchange rate, the country s central bank or other concerns will
maintain exchange rate by buying and selling its own currency on foreign exchange. The article was
focusing on successful parties and defeated parties due to Australian dollar fluctuations.
The effect of depreciation and devaluation of currency is mixed on whole economy, as if exporters are
in good place but if they are relaying on imported machinery, fuel, fertilizers and other imported
inputs, so falling Australian dollar will raise the cost of these products. Same goes with people
travelling to their home land at Christmas time or travelling in holidays they find it feasible to convert
the currency rather than wait for Australian dollar to grow.
The reasons that depreciates Australian dollar are as follows, though in the article main focus was on
interest rates and inflation but the discussion will not be completed if under the carpet factors are not
discussed:
a. Inflation
Inflation means value for money is decreasing, the prices of goods are increasing so people prefer to

Persuasive Speech On Recycling
The world is full of people using everyday products made from plastics or styrofoam, from simple
things like cups, forks and spoons to expensive electronics such as printers, phones, and TV s. About
300 million tons of plastic is produced globally each year (Raising Awareness of Plastic Waste) and
more than 14 million tonnes of polystyrene(styrofoam) are produced every year around the world
(Now and forever: The Styrofoam dilemma). With these high amounts being produced each year it is
easy to see why our oceans are now filled with these materials which end up damaging our earths
ecosystem, marine life, and wild life. Out of the 300 million tons of plastic produced only about 10
percent of that is recycled (Raising Awareness of Plastic Waste) and out of the 14 million tons of
styrofoam produced only 56 million pounds of styrofoam are recycled (EPS (Styrofoam) Facts,
Figures and Statistics) This means that the majority of plastics and styrofoam end up in landfills or our
oceans changing our world for the worst one non recycled item at a time. After reviewing two
different Ted Talks, one about recycling plastic by Mike Biddle and one about recycling styrofoam by
Ashton Cofer it has become more apparent to me that recycling plastics is extremely important and
Mike Biddle has the solution. What is Ted Talks? Ted Talks is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas,
usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED was established in 1984 as a

The Dreamer Junot Diaz Analysis
Jennifer D. Shyu
Professor Patrick Hendricks
English 111
31 January 2017
Chasing Dreams Everyone chases a dream at some point in life. The Dreamer by Junot Diaz is a
heartfelt story about one exceptional woman chasing her dreams. Diaz uses his mother s life as an
example of how a person can achieve his or her dreams by having courage and self determination. He
chooses to write about her because she is his motivation to succeed. He uses her struggles to provide
evidence to support his thesis that anyone can overcome challenges and achieve success. While The
Dreamer appears geared toward an audience consisting of individuals facing adversity, the piece was
first published in a women s magazine called More in 2011 (Diaz 128). Diaz first introduces his
mother as an adult in New Jersey, but describes her as a child growing up in an impoverished country

Her struggles and self determination drove him to chase his dream of becoming a writer. His use of the
metaphor for being thirsty to succeed is deeply moving and shows just how important his mother s
success is for him. In his ending, he describes her as his muse with Every time I get in trouble with my
art, I try to think of that girl. I think of that thirst, of that courage. I think of her (Diaz 130). He wants
to make known to his readers that self determination and courage are the keys to success. The essay
The Dreamer is an amazing narrative about overcoming adversity. By using his mother s life story,
Diaz shows that anyone can overcome obstacles and be successful. His audience, though geared
toward women, is anyone facing day to day struggles and trying to succeed. I am deeply moved by
Diaz s essay because I can relate to facing challenges that I felt I would not overcome. His story is an
excellent reminder to never give up. Keep chasing your

Contraceptives Vs. Pills
Granted this form of contraceptive along with the condom has been one of the earliest inventions that
are still used to this day. Honestly, I don t ever think they would ever have a 100% contraceptive that
would prevent a pregnancy or the ability to protect you form an STD. My reasoning for this is due to
if their is someone who still manage to get pregnant or infected while using that magical product. Can
easily then sue the inventor for false advertisement, I am sure the company would not risk their
business either. If you notice, even products who claim that a product has a full affect, it would be a
99.9%. In case if by some reason it does not work for that individual, they have that .1% of why it did
t work for them. No pills, no condoms, no spermicide, and it s far more effective than any birth control
currently on the market. In every test of the product, the only failure rate out of 250 volunteers was
due to an improper injection of the polymer. Barring that one instance of error, the polymer has been
100% effective. No other form of birth control can say that.

Reflection Paper On Law Of Nature
Reflection paper questions Locke
There is a need to understand the law of nature because law of nature is a perfect law of equality,
peace, no superiority of one person over another and absolute freedom for everyone. Nature provides
human beings with a law by which everyone is equal, everyone got equal freedom, equal rights, and
no one can dominate other by using the claims of jurisdiction or autonomy. It is very important to
understand the law of nature because it provides a perfect example of how a peaceful and orderly
world should. In a peaceful and orderly world, there is no violation of law, if someone breaks the law
he/she will be punished equally and in this way, every human being will enjoy maximized freedom.
In the law of nature there is only one supreme power who is controlling nature and every living thing
on nature will follow the set rules of harmony, peace and cooperation. They all shouldstay in the
natural law to progress and in that way, not only nature will be preserved but human beings can also
live in harmony. The concept is important because political power is a concept that is invented to run
the states and communities in orderly manner and to provide freedom, equality and justice to
everyone. A perfect political power will be that power that ensures law of nature is to be followed in
any case and thus to understand political power, one must learn the basics of law of nature. All people
are equal in the state of nature because there is only one supreme being and all human beings are equal
with equal rights to prosper and live. There are no issues of jurisdiction or supremacy of one person
over another because law of nature has provided every human being with equal opportunities.
According to Locke the main reason we cannot harm each other is that because all human beings are
created equals thus no one is superior as compare to other and if we will harm another equal being we
are challenging the authority of sovereign creator who gave freedom to everyone but we are enjoying
our freedom but snatching others. He gave the example of like we use animals, because human beings
use animals against their will, they use them for money and profits and do not care about their rights
or freedom

Chinese Buddhism
Buddhism traveled from India through the Silk Road and Central Asia to northern China in the first
century C.E. At that time the Chinese believed in Confucian values also known as the Chinese values.
The conflict between these values continued through many ruling Chinese dynasties. There were
inherent differences between the Buddhist beliefs and practices and traditional Confucius beliefs
practiced by the Chinese. These differences are captured in the three sources which are collection of
many biographies.
The first source is a collection of sixty five biographies of Buddhist nuns. This covers the period
between fourth and sixth centuries. This passage deals with the lives of nuns. It is a story of Lingshou

The passage articulated how increase in Buddhism has created more priests and temples at the cost of
work and family values. The spread of Buddhism lead to exhaustion of resources of the Empire from
317 C.E through 557 C.E. Gigantic temples and monasteries were like Imperial palaces. Huge
amounts of money instead of going into farming and business went into building temples and
monasteries. Taizong the Imperial ancestor who ruled during the period 626 649 C.E built the Middle
Kingdom by governing his kingdom his accomplished learning and culture. He believed in the power
of state but he tried to balance both Buddhism and Chinese values. Zhenguan and Gaiyuan, later
instituted radical changes. The Buddhist enjoyed many privileges; they did not pay taxes and were
treated differently, which was detrimental to state. These values were at variance with the Confucius
values of general applicability of rules to all people within the state. By confiscating land occupied by
temples and monasteries and by bringing the monks into the mainstream of the state a healthy balance
was achieved which ended the extremes of the first two

Rape Culture And Rape Myths
As kids we were taught about stranger danger; we were taught to protect ourselves from strangers and
as we got older, females were told to protect themselves from getting raped. In this paper, I will
discuss how living in a rape culture affects women and men, how does rape myths affect society and
how we can change the negative effects of living in a rape culture and rape myths. In order to
understand this, we must first define what rape is.
Rape is unwanted sexual attentions or actions that are directed to a person. Rape can happen to anyone
but it is most common to happen women. Rape happens to women around the ages of 16 24 and it is
considered to be at the greatest risk of sexual assault (Aronowitz, Lambert, Davidoff 2012). Also 1 in
5 American women survive rape or attempted rape (Maxwell 2014) and 1 in six men are abused before
they reach the age of 18 (Maxwell 2014). Lastly, the victim is most likely to know or be related to
their attacker (Aronwitz, Lambert, Davidoff 2012). As we can see from the data above, rape can
happen to anyone, not just women. Though because everyone has this misconception that rape is only
for women and that women wanted to be raped has created rape myths. Rape myths originate from a
rape culture. A society only becomes a rape culture when rape is prevalent and in which sexual
violence against women is normalized and excused in the media and popular culture ( Rape Culture,
n.d.). The United States is a rape culture because of

Plentifu Mark Twain s The War-Prayer
Realism and naturalism are both basic yet cynical views of life and humanity that arose during the
trials and turmoil of the 19th century. Both views stripped away the layers of romanticism to present a
natural or real viewpoint of the work. These forms of writing refuse to idealize or praise the subject
while also avoiding artificial, fantasy, or mystical elements. In American literature, the term realism
refers to writings that depict the realistic, everyday life of an average, middle class individual. It
portrays concrete reality closely and more emphasis is placed on the character and his purpose rather
than the plot and action. Word choice and diction used by realists are common vernacular and the
events that take place are plausible. The characters and plots are often based around factual events and
people, and it aims to show a truthful representation of reality. Realism began around the start of the
Civil War and lasted until the turn of the century a time of exponential growth for the United States.
With this growth came increasing rates of literacy which provided a ... Show more content on

Twain impeccably employs realism in a way that powerfully and effectively expresses his objective
message. He opens this story in the setting of a Sunday morning church congregation celebrating the
war and praying for safety, strength, courage, and well being of the soldiers as they go into battle. The
preacher prays blessings over the arms and that in the spirit of love God grant the victory. Throughout
this story, Twain illustrates realism not only through the language and dialect he portrays, but also the
representations of the characters. The reader can easily visualize being in the congregation due to the
realistic pride being portrayed by the American people and the common speech used during the prayer
dialect that any individual would hear while in a church

Masculinity In The Grapes Of Wrath
In The Grapes of Wrath, the main source of their hardship is the being kicked off of their land;
however, the antagonistic force is the selfishness of the human race. John Steinbeck portrayed the
hardships of the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression for families like the Joads through this book,
and it all started off with families getting forced off of their property. That was the root of all the
hardships that would come later in the book. The Bad Guy in The Grapes of Wrath was not the banks,
the landowners or the police. They were all bad guys in some part of the book, but they were not the
bad guys in the book, as they were not in all of the book. The characteristic that they all shared was
the selfishness, which was why the unempathetic, self centered part of humanity was the bad guy in
the book. In The Grapes of Wrath, the Joads come across many hardships and encounter many
antagonists, but there can be only one root and one main antagonistic force. ... Show more content on

Do it in moderation and be sure not to drink to the point of passing out.
Have a designated driver. When going out with friends, have someone close to you take the car keys to
bring you back to your hotel or apartment. You can always flag a taxi, but it s always best to have

Watch what you drink. This is especially if you don t know who you re talking with. Keep your eyes

Gran Canaria s nightlife is pretty vibrant and you would want to experience it for yourself. Just take

Immigration And Immigrants In Australia
Immigration can be defined as the action of individuals coming to live permanently or for a period in
another country. With a forecasted population of 40 million by 2050 in Australia, the population
growth in Australia remains at a steady rate of 1.6%. According to the Bureau of Statistics, each year,
Australia s population increases about 350,000 where 190,000 of them are immigrants.
Australia is the currently ranked first amongst the major developed countries for its rapidly increasing
population growth rate. Since 1851, when the discovery of gold was found in Bathurst, NSW, a
significant number of continental Europeans, North Americans and Chinese migrated to Australia with
the hope of making a fortune. Moreover, during the second half of the nineteenth century, the
Australian government decided to subsidise migration to increase the immigration of Europeans to
Australia. With the White Australian Policy in place, in 1938, the Australian Government agreed to
accept 15,000 Jewish refugees, as a large proportion of the Jewish community were seeking to leave
Germany and Austria due to the forced removal of Jews, The Nazi policy of Judenrein. The White
Australia Policy began to be abandoned in 1966, under Prime Minister Harold Holt. The last reside of
the system was finally abolished in 1973 under the Government of Gough Whitlam.
Then, in the mid 1940s up to about 1964, during the period of World War II, there was a period of a
noticeable growth in birth rate, known as the baby boomers generation. In this era, these boomers
grew up at a time of dramatic social change, where the Australian economy had an unemployment rate
of 2% due to the free tertiary education.
Furthermore, during the 1970s and 1980s, around 120,000 southern Asian refugees migrated to
Australia, transforming Australia into a multicultural nation. As of this period, immigration to
Australia in the late twentieth century was influenced by a number of world events, including ( the fall
of Saigon in 1975 ; the fall of East Timor to Indonesian s troops in 1975; dictatorships in South
America and the Lebanese Civil War of 1975 1990. At that time, in 1977, 20% of the Australian

  • 2. Medical Office Research Paper Computers Medical Offices Anyone who has either worked in the healthcare field or who have made a visit to a medical facility for patient care have likely seen or experience the advancement of technology for healthcare operations and patient care delivery. A testament to this fact is the use of computers in medical offices usage encompasses the front and back office operations. Two examples, of how medical staff uses computers is for registering patients and entering diagnostic results such as lab test(Colorado Technical University, 2017). Electronic Health Records (EHR) One of the most transcending advances that technology has allotted the healthcare field is the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR). Simply stated, EHRs are a contemporary approach to storing patient s information by exchanging paper for technology (Colorado Technical University, 2017; HealthIT, 2017). Among the information that found in E H R s include Administrative and billing data; Patient demographics; Progress notes; Vital signs; Medical histories; Diagnoses Medications; Immunization dates; Allergies; Radiology images; and Lab and test result (HealthIT, 2017). Thus, the ramifications for inaccurate information can have far reaching impacts not just to medical operations but also to a patient s health. One of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Was Claudius An Effective Ruler In this essay we are going to discuss whether Claudius was an effective ruler. In order to achieve an answer to this, we will also discuss how he governed his empire and how he went about administrating laws and provinces. To start with, however, it is best to briefly introduce Claudius before he became emperor. This will help us to understnad his situation and how past events effected his ruling. Claudius was the great nephew of Augustus, and so was part of the most important family in rome at the time. From a young age Claudius was physically and mentally challenged, and due to this he was the out cast of his family, everyone including Augustus believed him to be an embaressment. Augustus also done him no favours, he didn t give ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With this Claudius appointed freemen to certain secretarial offices, however, he wasn t the first emperor to do so, augustus before him also found it better to work through permanant non senatorial officials than through senatorial magistrates. Although Claudius and augustus are similar in the way they appointed their officials, there is one major difference, this being that Claudius allowed his officials, freedmen, to influence him. Now straight away we can see how this would have angered the senate, because they had gone through the correct path on the Cursus Honourum, where as these freedmen were just given powerful positions by giving his most important tasks to his freedmen, this ensured the emperoros independence of both senate and the equestrian order. It also seems, with the dominant influence the freedmen had on Claudius, that many acts and judgements weren t his own, they were dictated by his wives and freedmen, he practically always obeyed their whims rather than his own judgement. Subsequently, we can say that Claudius looked as though he was a mere puppet, and the real rulers were his wives and freedmen. Claudius fell so deeply under the influence of these freedmen and wives that he seemed to be their servant rather than their emperor. This is also a good reason as to why many acts put forth were in favour of the population of rome, because these freedmen were of such low ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Federal Reserve Operations And Market Impact Federal Reserve Operations and Market Impact In order for the Federal Reserve to fulfill their goal of moderate long term interest rates, stable prices and maximum employment, they rely on developing strategic changes to the monetary policy. Through monetary policy changes, the Federal Reserve can either restrict or encourage economic growth and inflation, thereby molding the macroeconomy into a state of consistent health. Overall, there are three tools used to modify the monetary policy, they include reserve requirements, discount rates, and open market operations. In an effort to promote price stability within the economy, these tools influence monetary conditions by affecting interest rates, credit availability, money supply and security prices. While one tool is use more frequently than the others, all three are necessary in establishing stable economic conditions. Reserve Requirement The reserve requirement is a tool used by the Federal Reserve to adapt the monetary policy to their target range. Reserve requirements control the minimum amount of funds a depository intuition is required to maintain against their liabilities (Federal Reserve, n.d). Furthermore, the reserve requirement is usually tied into a ratio of transaction accounts the depository institutions holds. Consequently, a decrease in the reserve requirement allows institutions to hold less funds enabling them to loan out a greater percentage, thereby increasing the funds available within the ... • 5. Narby Research Chapter 5 Summary Objective: In this chapter Narby researches past findings of intelligence in animals and plants. Some examples include the self awareness of dolphins and crows creating tools. Narby s definition of intelligence seems to change to being capable of consciously making decisions. Subjective: One part of this chapter I was able to associate to was the part about parrots answering questions. I could relate to this because I remember seeing a parrot identify shapes once while I was on vacation. Initially it blew my mind, but I later convinced myself it was a routine, however now it makes sense, parrots are capable of learning. i) The problem with these definitions of intelligence, is that they can only be applied to humans. So based off of these definitions, no other species can be intelligent even if they act in such ways that would require intelligence (43 44) ii) Monod didn t believe there was intelligence in nature. He thought the scientific method meant that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Much like the scientists in previous chapters, Martin Giurfa thinks bees are much more than the machines they had been referred to as by Monod. Narby mentions how Giurfa s studies showed that bees could grasp abstract concepts like identifying corresponding images to find a reward. The bees were even able to figure out to recognize and match new patterns after the original image was changed. Subjective: I am conflicted about this experiment because it s cool and cruel at the same time. I think it s cool that bees are able to learn to match corresponding images to find food, meaning that they are able to learn new processes for finding food. However, it is also cruel because Narby mentions that once the bees got to the food, they repeatedly tried flying straight up, hitting a plexiglass cover, instead of exiting through the tubes. This means that even though the bees were successful, they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Medieval Theology Texts Medieval Theology Texts Final Exam 1. Both Bernard of Clairvaux and Bonaventure show an appreciation for the natural world not seen in many of the other authors that we read. In what way does this appreciation guide their theologies and mystical journeys? How are their journeys similar and how are they different? Be sure to touch on their understandings of human nature and each author s methodologies. The natural world plays an important role in Bernard of Clairvaux s theological life. According to Bernard of Clairvaux, love is one of the passions and what is natural should be at the service of the Lord of nature. There are 4 degrees of love, and the first one is when man loves himself for his own sake. Because nature has become rather frail and weak, man is driven by necessity to serve nature first. It results in bodily love and such bodily animal that does not know how to love anything but himself begins to love God for his own benefit, because he learns from frequent experience that in God he can do everything which is good for him, and without God he can do nothing. The second degree of love is when man loves God for his own good. Man loves good for his own sake, not God s. The wise man will know what he can do by himself and what he can do only with God s help, and then people will avoid hurting him who keeps you from getting hurt. The third degree is when man loves God for God s sake. As man needs God more frequently, the taste of his own sweetness leads us to love ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Film Analysis Of The Cinematic Style Of Tim Burton Cinematic Style Tim Burton, the successful director, began his wonderful journey through life on August 25, 1958, in Burbank, California. From his childhood, Burton was nose deep into filmmaking. At the age of thirteen, this young teenager created a short animated film called The Island of Doctor Agor. Movie consumed his whole life. He even met his second wife on the set of Ed Wood and Mars Attack! Afterwards, Burton was the author of amazing films such as Batman, Batman Returns, Ed Wood, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Director Tim Burton s style is dark humor and childlike innocence, as evidenced in his movies Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands, and Nightmare Before ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Burton s unique style in these three movies is also demonstrated well by lighting. First, there is a segment in the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when one of the winners, Augustus, falls into Willy Wonka s chocolate river and then gets sucked up a tube during a low key lighting sequence. This occurs to be a slightly humorous situation because there are six adults standing on the scene of the accident, and none of them are doing anything. On the contrary, it was probably an amazing experience for Augustus because not everyone gets to find themselves in a river full of chocolate. Next, in another one of Burton s movies, Edward Scissorhands, the main character, Edward, gets low tempered and rips the curtains and wallpaper in the house while in bottom side lighting. The situation alerts the audience because of Edward s unsophisticated behavior in the unpleasant position. The man his already dangerous enough when he is in a good mood. Finally, in The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack was walking in the graveyard in low key lighting. It s scary because there s a skeleton walking on top of dead people in the night on Halloween. It can t get scarier than that! All in all, Burton s style is evident through his good use of lighting. Music and sound demonstrate Burton s style through anti visual aspects. For instance, there was diegetic sound when people were clapping outside of the factory gates when the factory opened in the movie Charlie and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Bor Wintour Influences Since the founding of Vogue in 1892, its covers and glossy contents have featured the changing faces of fashion, from models and actresses of the era to musicians, writers and businesswomen from all over the world. It is clear that editors of Vogue magazine, published by Condé Nast have understood the changing world of fashion we live in, where the achievements and lives of famous aspirational women began to overshadow the now tiresome , dull supermodel era under the instruction of Vogue s current editor in chief , Anna Wintour. People say the best way person to full these jobs is Troy Tulowitzki. Experts call him the best shortstop of our time. But is he really? What is he worth? Should you trade for him? Is Tulo really the best shortstop of our time? Let s take a close look at this statement. In so far a ten year career, he has hit 232 doubles, 24 triples, 193 homeruns, with an outstanding 674 runs batted in (RBIs). With an overall batting average with a pleasant .297. Just shy of that perfect .300. Also he is a five time all star. Including 2 Gold Gloves and 2 Silver Sluggers. Lastly Tulo as committed 74 errors in 10 years with an unassisted triple play only 8 others players have done that in this history of the MLB. Honus Wagner is the best shortstop ever. In ten years of his career he has Wagner hit 348 doubles in his first ten years, he hit 125 triples, hit 49 home runs, Honus had 923 RBIs, with an above perfect batting average of .345 but a sad 326 errors. Wagner never saw an all star game and never won an award. Tulo is a bit under Honus Wagner but it was a different game. When Wagner played games went 22 innings and they always played because only 10 people were on a team. But Troy is way above Honus in defense. Troy usually leads in fewest errors is a perennial Gold Glove winner. As you can tell Tulo puts up good numbers and even is better than the best shortstop ever in most subjects. ... A Brief Note On Journalism And Technology On Our Lives Kevin Koeshartono Professor Benoit Elements of Journalism 2 November 2014 Journalism and Technology Every year technology is continuing to advance further and further. The way we live our lives ten years ago compared to how we live our lives today is vastly different. In this day and age, everything is so instant. If we want information, we don t have to wait to get to a library to read a book about it. We don t even have to wait to go home to use our computers to google something anymore. Anything we need or want to know, we have access to in the palm of our hands. Smartphones have allowed people to have access to the internet as fast as they can unlock their phones and open up an application. Everything has become about instant gratification. There idea of waiting to do anything anymore is obsolete. With this advancement of technology, there is a rise in the use of social media sites such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Google+, etc. Everyone now has instant connections with everyone. Communication has never been easier. With the combination of smartphones and social media sites, a majority of the population spends a startling amount of time staring at their phones. The idea of staying connected to everyone has consumed the population. With the introduction of social media sites, everyone is constantly updating their status or tweeting what they are doing. This has begun giving graduate students the feeling of a never ending debt. Due to this, there are a huge number of high school students who are re considering a college degree, even though they are fully aware of the necessity of qualification for many jobs. An interesting fact is how the student loan system has made a conscious effort to incorporate international students to finance their full time MBA degrees. Sensor nodes have an in built processor, using which before transmission raw data is processed. These features facilitate wide range of applications of wireless sensor networks like biomedical, environmental, military, event detection and vehicular telematics. Wireless networks of sensors are very much likely to be widely deployed in the future because they greatly extend our ability to control and monitor the physical environment from remote locations. Such networks can greatly improve the accuracy of information obtained via collaboration among sensor nodes and online information processing at those nodes. Wireless sensor networks can also improve remote access to sensor data by providing sink nodes that connect them to other networks, such as the Internet, using wide area wireless links. So, Athens undervalued Sicily and overvalued their (the Athenians) greatness. Nicias tried to warn citizens about the wealth and strength of the Sicilian states enemies they would have to challenge, and insisted on a great preparation and investments in the expedition to make it possible. He also added: Indeed, even if we leave Athens with a force not only equal to that of the enemy except in the number of heavy infantry in the field, but even at all points superior to him, we shall still find it difficult to conquer Sicily or save ourselves . The preparation for the expedition began and the departure to Sicily took place. It worth saying that all Athenians were taking part in preparation, the government and citizens did their best. Indeed this armament that first sailed out was by far the most costly and splendid Hellenic force that had ever been sent out by a single city up to that time . Alcibiades, one of the generals of the expedition, had a lot of enemies in Athens, due to his luxury life and desire to get as much fame as possible. Honestly, I don t ever think they would ever have a 100% contraceptive that would prevent a pregnancy or the ability to protect you form an STD. My reasoning for this is due to if their is someone who still manage to get pregnant or infected while using that magical product. Can easily then sue the inventor for false advertisement, I am sure the company would not risk their business either. If you notice, even products who claim that a product has a full affect, it would be a 99.9%. In case if by some reason it does not work for that individual, they have that .1% of why it did t work for them. No pills, no condoms, no spermicide, and it s far more effective than any birth control currently on the market. In every test of the product, the only failure rate out of 250 volunteers was due to an improper injection of the polymer. Barring that one instance of error, the polymer has been 100% effective. No other form of birth control can say that. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Reflection Paper On Law Of Nature Reflection paper questions Locke There is a need to understand the law of nature because law of nature is a perfect law of equality, peace, no superiority of one person over another and absolute freedom for everyone. Nature provides human beings with a law by which everyone is equal, everyone got equal freedom, equal rights, and no one can dominate other by using the claims of jurisdiction or autonomy. It is very important to understand the law of nature because it provides a perfect example of how a peaceful and orderly world should. In a peaceful and orderly world, there is no violation of law, if someone breaks the law he/she will be punished equally and in this way, every human being will enjoy maximized freedom. In the law of nature there is only one supreme power who is controlling nature and every living thing on nature will follow the set rules of harmony, peace and cooperation. They all shouldstay in the natural law to progress and in that way, not only nature will be preserved but human beings can also live in harmony. A perfect political power will be that power that ensures law of nature is to be followed in any case and thus to understand political power, one must learn the basics of law of nature. All people are equal in the state of nature because there is only one supreme being and all human beings are equal with equal rights to prosper and live. There are no issues of jurisdiction or supremacy of one person over another because law of nature has provided every human being with equal opportunities. According to Locke the main reason we cannot harm each other is that because all human beings are created equals thus no one is superior as compare to other and if we will harm another equal being we are challenging the authority of sovereign creator who gave freedom to everyone but we are enjoying our freedom but snatching others. • 33. Rape Culture And Rape Myths As kids we were taught about stranger danger; we were taught to protect ourselves from strangers and as we got older, females were told to protect themselves from getting raped. In this paper, I will discuss how living in a rape culture affects women and men, how does rape myths affect society and how we can change the negative effects of living in a rape culture and rape myths. In order to understand this, we must first define what rape is. Rape is unwanted sexual attentions or actions that are directed to a person. Rape can happen to anyone but it is most common to happen women. Rape happens to women around the ages of 16 24 and it is considered to be at the greatest risk of sexual assault (Aronowitz, Lambert, Davidoff 2012). Also 1 in 5 American women survive rape or attempted rape (Maxwell 2014) and 1 in six men are abused before they reach the age of 18 (Maxwell 2014). Lastly, the victim is most likely to know or be related to their attacker (Aronwitz, Lambert, Davidoff 2012). As we can see from the data above, rape can happen to anyone, not just women. Though because everyone has this misconception that rape is only for women and that women wanted to be raped has created rape myths. Rape myths originate from a rape culture. A society only becomes a rape culture when rape is prevalent and in which sexual violence against women is normalized and excused in the media and popular culture ( Rape Culture, n.d.). In American literature, the term realism refers to writings that depict the realistic, everyday life of an average, middle class individual. It portrays concrete reality closely and more emphasis is placed on the character and his purpose rather than the plot and action. Word choice and diction used by realists are common vernacular and the events that take place are plausible. The characters and plots are often based around factual events and people, and it aims to show a truthful representation of reality. • 35. Masculinity In The Grapes Of Wrath In The Grapes of Wrath, the main source of their hardship is the being kicked off of their land; however, the antagonistic force is the selfishness of the human race. John Steinbeck portrayed the hardships of the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression for families like the Joads through this book, and it all started off with families getting forced off of their property. That was the root of all the hardships that would come later in the book. The Bad Guy in The Grapes of Wrath was not the banks, the landowners or the police. They were all bad guys in some part of the book, but they were not the bad guys in the book, as they were not in all of the book. The characteristic that they all shared was the selfishness, which was why the unempathetic, self centered part of humanity was the bad guy in the book.
