Pros and Cons of gaming and tourism in Indian reservations Indian Reservation has been participative
in gaming ever since time memorial. However, participating rate rose rapidly in 1980 s when a land
mark legal case approved the natives to choose gaming as a source of economy, revenue and
employment. It is these litigations that opened the avenues for the tribes to engage in gaming

If the communities had accepted gaming since time back there would have been lesser poverty
problems than they are at the present days. However the community elders and leaders have
understood the importance of gaming to the community economy. Another negative impact is the
tribal membership where by the revenue distribution tribes only distribute on individual basis making
the tribe that has less membership to receive larger incomes only for those who are members. This has
resulted to emergence of political battles in which some reservation deny enrolment of new

Consumers has the sole power to dictate the supply and demand of any good. They do not realize the
influence they over the market prices. Time has shown, if people, investors, and businesses stop
purchasing goods and services, the economy will relapse. The theory of consumer choice can affect
three different areas such as, Demand curve, Higher wages, and Higher interest rates. Since the theory
affect these areas, consumers can governor its variations. What makes a consumer s choice the goods
or services over another? There are several factors that can inspire alteration in those areas for
example price, availability, social responsibility of the company, convenience, enjoyment, familiarity.
These factors that can affect consumer s choice. When the consumers decide to purchase a good, they
have considered several different aspects of it. Normally when the prices are low, consumer s demand
will increase in buying the good. Though price is the dominating contributing factor of consumer s
choice, they also considered all aspects, before making a purchase. The demand curve starts to shift to
the right; it represents the product is becoming more in demand. If the prices are the low but the
demand is not increasing for quality as an issue, it will shift to the left on the demand curve. There are
some consumers who want cheaply made goods this will only effective if that demand was in demand.

Dr. Ellert and Stan, The ADHS trauma stakeholder workgroup held its December meeting last week
and I attended along with Dr. O Neil. My notes are below. Please let me know if you see anything that
raises issues. I think we continue to be okay but I have highlighted three issues where I d like your

director s CME should be external to the facility. As I understood the conversation, a doctor can
receive CME credit for teaching CME. Is that correct? PJ said this shouldn t be a problem. I believe
this would still allow a trauma medical director to take CME at the facility, just not receive CME
credit for teaching CME. Pediatric Age The rules say a Pediatric Level I or II is for patients under the
age of 18. Does this create a problem for us? I don t see anything that would prohibit us for treating
someone younger, like a 17 year old. Trauma Registry The group went back and forth on Registry
FTEs. The comment that resonated the most is that not all trauma volumes are the same, that 1,400
annual visits could be done by one or three FTEs, depending on the complexity of the cases. ADHS is
