Abstract
In order to visualize and conceptualize the affect of the contact angle on impact force, testing of four
different shapes and comparing the results was done. Conclusions were drawn on the affects of the
type of contact surface on the measured impact force. In analyzing these results, it was also be of
interest to calculate the theoretical force using a derivation of equations and comparing them to the
measured data. Doing so may allow for further understanding concerning the possible errors in
calculations or possible mis assumptions being made.

Conclusions and Recommendations
This experiment effectively showed that the resultant impact force acting on the different target shapes
changed depending on the shape, which is affected by the contact angle. Further analysis of the data
also showed that some beginning assumptions were incorrect, allowing insight on the reasoning for

Research Paper Since the Constitution of the United States was written, Americans have practiced
their right to freedom of speech as a way to express their point of view on issues facing the country.
Over time, voicing one s opinion went from outspoken newspaper articles to large rallies, and during
the Vietnam War, music was a prevalent tool in aiding the protests. Allowing political messages to be

Initially, wars involving the United States were typically well supported by the people, but the
abhorrence towards the military s actions in Vietnam lead musical artists to stand in opposition to the
war, encouraging the anti war movement.
As the war persisted, not everyone s voice was being heard. To quickly spread the message to a wider
demographic, American musical artists incorporated political beliefs into their music. For example,
Jimi Hendrix wrote songs such as Machine Gun to show his disdain towards the war, but the biggest

Galileo established the principle of inertia which coincides with Newton s first law that states, that an
object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced
force. The difference, however, for the two men is that during the time that Galileo was around he was
persecuted and thrown in jail for his beliefs while Newton would be applauded for his findings.
Since Galileo was so much earlier than Descartes, and Newton his work was ridiculed more than the

The text explicitly states Scrooge, a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, clutching, covetous, old sinner
has passed away. According to the text, he despises many things such as happiness, humor, and even
Christmas. From the reading, I know that he is depressed all the time, consequently his mental state
has led him to call other people stupid, dumb, and idiots. On page three, in the conversation with his
nephew Fred, Scrooge insults his nephew about marrying and loving his wife. The text states, that he
also seized the ruler with such energy of action, that the singer fled in terror, leaving the keyhole to the
frost and even more congenial frost. From the reading I know that Scrooge isn t a people person and is
very down about life. Based on the text he doesn t really like being around them. For example Scrooge
didn t donate any money to the poor, and blew off his nephew about spending Christmas with them. In
the text it states that there is no wind as bare as Scrooge, this means he doesn t really care or doesn t
have many feelings.
The first ghost came when the clock pounded one. A horrid fusion among a child and an old man the
ghost opens the Scrooge s bed curtains. According to the text the spirit is very vivid and bright. So the
ghost takes Scrooge to his old school. According to the text Scrooge actually starts to laugh for the
first time at the appearance of him reading fantasy books. Consequently he wasn t outdoors, playing
with the other kids. The second place the ghost took Scrooge was where he and his sister were talking
about their father being sent away. From the reading of the first spirit Scrooge really likes the first
spirit for being very generous and thoughtful for taking Scrooge and showing him motivational parts
in his life. The ghost of Christmas past helped Scrooge learn that there is more in life other than being
morose all the time, there is amusement, family, bliss, and ambitious life to live. When Scrooge puts
his hand on the lock he heard an articulation call his name and commanded him to enter. He did as the
