1. How to Create a Presentation for Slideshare
Step 1. Open Powerpoint and create a new “blank” presentation
2. Step 2. Create a blank slide so there are no default text boxes
or layouts. On the “Home” tab under the “Slides” ribbon, click
the dropdown next to the “Layout” option and choose “blank”.
3. Step 3. Choose a theme or background style or keep your
background white if you prefer. Under the “Design” tab
you can choose from various themes in the “Themes”
ribbon or a simple background in the “Background” ribbon.
4. Step 4. Click on the “Insert” tab and then the “Text Box”
icon in the “Text” ribbon to then outline text boxes where
you can insert text. Click on the individual options under
the “Illustrations” ribbon in order to add graphics of your
choice—pictures, clip art, shapes, etc.
5. Step 5. When you have finished your first slide, go back to
the “Home” tab and click on “New Slide” to add the next
slide in your presentation. Choose another blank slide to
customize to your liking.
Continue to add slides until you have uploaded
all the content you wish to share.
6. Step 6. When you have created all your slides, click on
the windows button, choose “Save As” and choose
“Powerpoint presenation”. Save your presentation in a
place where you will remember its location and save it
as a name related to your Powerpoint topic.
