Book Summary The story starts with a meeting off all animals in the barn at
Manor Farm. They meet to hear the wisdom of Old Major. He tells them that
humans are evil and are the sole cause for the animals lives of discomfort and
overwork. He says that they must all band together to overthrow man and live
together. He also says that they must never live like man because they are evil.
They construct seven commandments that the animals must follow in order to not
become like humans. Old Major dies soon after the night of their meeting. The
animals are waiting for their chance when they take an opportunity and take the
farm from their master Mr. Jones. The animals celebrate and start their new lives.
The animals rename the farm from Manor farm to Animal Farm. They paint the
seven commandments on the side of the barn. From the start the pigs do not work.
They claim that their work is to think because they are the smartest. They have all

CYNTHIA (30 s) is a distrustful, failed clothing designer, who once lived a nice
