Abstract
Objective This review investigated the effect of the various models of nursing care delivery using the diverse levels
of nurses on patient and nursing outcomes.
Methods All published studies that investigated patient and nursing outcomes were considered. Studies were
included if the nursing delivery models only included nurses with varying skill levels. A literature search was
performed using the following databases: Medline (1985–2011), CINAHL (1985–2011), EMBASE (1985 to current)
and the Cochrane Controlled Studies Register (Issue 3, 2011 of Cochrane Library). In addition, the reference lists of
relevant studies and conference proceedings were also scrutinised. Two reviewers independently assessed the
eligibility of the studies for inclusion in the review, the methodological quality and extracted details of eligible studies.
Data were analysed using the RevMan software (Nordic Cochrane Centre, Copenhagen, Denmark).
Results Fourteen studies were included in this review. The results reveal that implementation of the team nursing
model of care resulted in significantly decreased incidence of medication errors and adverse intravenous outcomes,
as well as lower pain scores among patients; however, there was no effect of this model of care on the incidence of
falls. Wards that used a hybrid model demonstrated significant improvement in quality of patient care, but no
difference in incidence of pressure areas or infection rates. There were no significant differences in nursing outcomes
relating to role clarity, job satisfaction and nurse absenteeism rates between any of the models of care.
Conclusions Based on the available evidence, a predominance of team nursing within the comparisons is
suggestive of its popularity. Patient outcomes, nurse satisfaction, absenteeism and role clarity/confusion did not differ
across model comparisons. Little benefit was found within primary nursing comparisons and the cost effectiveness
of team nursing over other models remains debatable. Nonetheless, team nursing does present a better model for
inexperienced staff to develop, a key aspect in units where skill mix or experience is diverse.

Challenge grant program 2009 2010 descriptions final analysis
The goal of this project was to develop a patient-centered care plan (PCCP) within an electronic medical
record and evaluate its impact. The PCCP focused on respecting patient values/preferences, care
coordination/integration, and information/communication. An experimental group used the PCCP while a
control group did not. Experimental patients had more documentation of goal setting and showed higher
activation levels. Providers, patients, and staff found the PCCP useful for engagement, self-management,
and teamwork. Results were presented and the grantee plans to publish findings.

Global Situational Awareness of A.I. and where its headed
You can see the future first in San Francisco.
Over the past year, the talk of the town has shifted from $10 billion compute clusters to $100 billion clusters to trillion-dollar clusters. Every six months another zero is added to the boardroom plans. Behind the scenes, there’s a fierce scramble to secure every power contract still available for the rest of the decade, every voltage transformer that can possibly be procured. American big business is gearing up to pour trillions of dollars into a long-unseen mobilization of American industrial might. By the end of the decade, American electricity production will have grown tens of percent; from the shale fields of Pennsylvania to the solar farms of Nevada, hundreds of millions of GPUs will hum.
The AGI race has begun. We are building machines that can think and reason. By 2025/26, these machines will outpace college graduates. By the end of the decade, they will be smarter than you or I; we will have superintelligence, in the true sense of the word. Along the way, national security forces not seen in half a century will be un-leashed, and before long, The Project will be on. If we’re lucky, we’ll be in an all-out race with the CCP; if we’re unlucky, an all-out war.
Everyone is now talking about AI, but few have the faintest glimmer of what is about to hit them. Nvidia analysts still think 2024 might be close to the peak. Mainstream pundits are stuck on the wilful blindness of “it’s just predicting the next word”. They see only hype and business-as-usual; at most they entertain another internet-scale technological change.
Before long, the world will wake up. But right now, there are perhaps a few hundred people, most of them in San Francisco and the AI labs, that have situational awareness. Through whatever peculiar forces of fate, I have found myself amongst them. A few years ago, these people were derided as crazy—but they trusted the trendlines, which allowed them to correctly predict the AI advances of the past few years. Whether these people are also right about the next few years remains to be seen. But these are very smart people—the smartest people I have ever met—and they are the ones building this technology. Perhaps they will be an odd footnote in history, or perhaps they will go down in history like Szilard and Oppenheimer and Teller. If they are seeing the future even close to correctly, we are in for a wild ride.

Traditionally, databases have treated timestamps just as another data type. However, when performing real-time analytics, timestamps should be first class citizens and we need rich time semantics to get the most out of our data. We also need to deal with ever growing datasets while keeping performant, which is as fun as it sounds.
It is no wonder time-series databases are now more popular than ever before. Join me in this session to learn about the internal architecture and building blocks of QuestDB, an open source time-series database designed for speed. We will also review a history of some of the changes we have gone over the past two years to deal with late and unordered data, non-blocking writes, read-replicas, or faster batch ingestion.

A nursing student’s personality is one of the important resources he/she uses in rendering service during clinical experience. Thus, the nurse educator must be deeply concerned about the attitudes and the values the nursing students develops towards home visits. This will provide information on the student’s attitude on learning in the clinical environment. 2
- 3. “An explanatory study to determine attitude and the factors influencing attitude of the nursing students of a selected college of nursing towards home visiting”. 3 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
- 4. DEFINITION HOME VISITING : Home visiting means the visit of a nurse to a family and the health services provided by nursing students to the community. Home visit is a purposeful interaction in a home directed at promoting and maintaining the health of individuals and the family. A major distinction of a home visit is that the health professional goes to the client rather than the client coming to the health professional. 4
- 5. NURSING STUDENTS : In this study, nursing students are those who have been already exposed to the field and completed the hours of field experience. ATTITUDE : In this study, attitude refers to the verbal expression of feeling of nursing students regarding home visiting. This is measured by an attitude scale and expressed in form of attitude scores. 5
- 6. OBJECTIVES 6 - To determine the attitude of nursing students towards home visiting. - To field the association between attitude and selected demographic variable. - To determine the factors influencing the attitudes of nursing students towards home visiting.
- 7. HYPOTHESES 7 H1- There will be a significant association between attitude scores and selected demographic variables. H2- There will be a difference in the attitude of IInd year and IVth year B.Sc nursing students. H3- There will be an association between attitude and factors influencing attitude of nursing students.

POPULATION :- The population selected for the study comprised of nursing students who has been exposed to the community field experience and able to build rapport with the family, identified the problems and give care according to the needs of the family and available at the time of data collection. DATA COLLECTION METHOD :- Permission will be obtained from the concerned authority and informed consent will be obtained from the subjects. Attitude scale questionaire will be administered to the subjects and then it will be collected and analyzed the data. 10

- 12. RESULT Acc. To H1 :- - The attitude score of majority both II year B.Sc (96.6%) and IV year B.Sc (88.1%) nursing students ranged between 51-75%. - It can be inferred that the sample had favourable attitude towards home visiting. Acc. To H2 (COMPARISON ):- There was significant difference between attitude of II year and IV year nursing students towards home visiting. It is evident that compared to II year students those in IV year had more favourable attitude towards home visiting. 12
- 13. Acc. To H3 (CORRELATION BETWEEN ATTITUDE & FACTORS INFLUENCING) :- - There was a positive correlation between the attitude and factors influencing the attitude of nursing towards home visiting. - Hence null hypothesis was rejected and research hypothesis was accepted. 13

CONCLUSION - From the findings of the study it can be concluded that the 2nd year B.Sc nursing students had favourable attitudes towards home visiting compared to 4th year nursing students. - As the factors influencing attitude of nursing students increased, their attitude became favourable towards home visiting because there is a positive correlation between the attitude of nursing students and factors influencing their attitude. - However, the 4th year B.Sc nursing students had(8.5%) highly favourable attitude towards home visiting. 14
- 15. NURSING IMPLICATIONS NURSING EDUCATION :- This study highlights the need to instil in the students a more positive attitude towards home visiting such as increasing practical hours which will help in attaining the educational objectives. 15
- 16. NURSING PRACTICE :- The nurse plays a vital and major role in health care delivery system. Instead of providing treatment to the patients, the nurse should be interested in health promotion. If the students show a positive attitude towards home visiting, naturally the quality of care provided to the patients & community will improve. 16
- 17. NURSING RESEARCH :- Nursing research is an essential aspect of nursing as it uplifts the profession, develops new nursing norms and enhances the nursing knowledge. It also improves the image and perception of nursing in the society which is necessary for future of nursing. 17
- 18. NURSING ADMINISTRATION :- The nurse administration plays a vital part in the education of all nurses who are working along with community through organizing community health education, programmes, conducting in- services education programmes and continuing education programmes. 18
