Prejudice In The Lion King
My process of semiosis is one of peaceful tranquility. In Dustin Kaufman s creative, semiotic process,
there is no cacophonous storm that immediately follows the relaxing calm nature in which I strive to
work. There is just that: calm. Ironically, my work is almost entirely made up of calamitous actions.
Guns, death, and blood. Bullets tear through flesh in an orgy of stylish gore; a rape of the senses. The
kind of stuff that sends shivers speeding up the spines of the decent and politically correct whilst
bringing a gleeful yet euphoric sense of joy to both the audience and creator. Like most boys growing
up in the suburbs, I had a very violent upbringing. I hit the streets daily, performing various seedy

I crafted an absurd tale of a student, fed up and bored with the monotony of school work, who takes a
drug trip where he meets a very intense yet motivational Jesus Christ, who helps guide him. To me,
the media creator, this film was a fun, completely senseless, for lack of a better word, retarded romp of
action and comedy which was warmly received by faculty and peers, and the online audience as well,
coming in with several thousand views on YouTube. I was immensely pleased with the outcome, but
left both puzzled and humbled by the feedback of one of my professors, who saw not just a goofy
short, but a riveting social commentary detailing the creative oppression young people face.
Obviously, I did not craft the film with such ideas in mind, but if there is one thing Columbia has
instilled in my brain it is that human beings will attach meaning to everything. If there were ever a
catalyst that inspired Dangerous Lack of Cheese, it is without a doubt the feedback of my one
professor. It comforts me to know that my immensely sarcastic, absurdist creative identity is largely a
scarcity here at Columbia. It helps keep me focused and unique, as well as complimenting my relaxing

Always To Remember Maya Lin Analysis
Maya Lin s design really impressed the judges. Her design had many reasons why it became the
winner design. The design was perfect for the criteria needed. The model had the judges were in awe
of the design for many reasons. The design entered by Maya Lin greatly impressed the judges. One
reason why it impressed them so much was the design itself. The model had a form that fit the scene
perfectly in the Mall. In the essay, Always to Remember: The Vision of Maya Ying Lin, by Brent
Ashabranner, states, It is uniquely horizontal, entering the earth rather than piercing the sky. Another
piece of evidence is when the essay states, The designer has created an eloquent place where the
simple meeting of earth, sky and remembered names contain messages for all who will know this
place. These two pieces of evidence explain that the judges were fascinated by how the design was
made its self. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The essay also states one of the model s criteria. It states, A design which would be harmonious with
its site, including visual harmony with the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. This
states that the entry has reached this criteria and the judges felt that was one of the strong points of the
design. The essay also states, This memorial, with its wall of names, becomes a place of quiet
reflection, and a tribute to those who served their nation in difficult times. All who come her can find
it a place of healing. This will be a quiet memorial, one that achieves an excellent relationship with
both the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington monument, and relates the visitor to them. This quote
is saying that the entry was peaceful and one of the main points that the judges found important

fact that the study of fashion design is influenced by the cultural and social activities which is different
in different areas and over different time span. Designers generally try to design clothing that will not
only be functional but also pleasing aesthetically. The wearing for a garment depends on the person
who is to wear it and also the occasion it will be worn in. A wide range of patterns, styles and colors
are required to come up with perfect garment. Throughout the years the style statements, fashion
industry has changed a great deal. In this research a demographic profile of single women of Australia
within the age group of 20 to 30 years has been taken to study the experiences, values and
opportunities of these women group and a comparison has been made with the single women within
the age group of 20 to 30 years living fifty years ago in the year 1964. The differences in the cultures,

Explain Why Students Should Not Be Allowed To Have Cell...
Failure to pay attention. Lack of honesty. Poor grades. These are some outcomes of allowing
cellphones in class. Eight ball or word cookies may end up causing you to fail or miss an assignment.
Students should not be allowed to have and use their cellphones because of inequality, distractions,
and dishonesty. To begin with, students should not be allowed to have cell phones in class due to
inequality. Even though most students have cell phones, some do not. Students may be embarrassed if
they don t have a cell phone like all the other students. Another reason why inequality is an issue
because of the lack of power sources. Not all classrooms provide outlets or have enough outlets for
everyone to use. Everyone charging their phones at the same time or looking for an outlet at the same
time would be chaos. Secondly, distractions are a big ordeal in class. Cell phones are a problem due to
sounds and ringtones because they can cause a distraction during a lesson. Maybe in the middle of a
test and all of a sudden a ding or a ring goes off. You get all sidetracked and then lose track of what
you were thinking of or what the answer was. You may be tempted to want to play 8 ball or word
cookies. In the middle of the game the teacher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Allowing students to have their cell phones out can allow them to be able to go on the internet and
look up answers to a test or class work. They could text another student and ask them for answers.
Also, allowing students to have cell phones in class, can make a chance for cyber bullying to happen. A
student that may not be friends with another classmate could capture an embarrassing moment for the
student and post it to allow all of his friends to see it. Students could video or take pictures of a
teacher during class which could get the teacher in trouble. Allowing cellphones in class will more
than likely just cause lying and

Employee Benefit Plans
Employee benefits are an important cog in the wheel of industry in today s busy world. Oftentimes,
potential employees are more interested in the benefits a company provides than in the salary or
compensation they will be receiving. Potential employees oftentimes desire healthcare or insurance
plans and pension plans that will take care of them for the long term, not a short term benefit plan. In
the past, employers often took a cookie cutter approach, offering the exact same benefits as every
other company offered. Such an approach is no longer the norm, instead many companies now work
hand in hand with their employees to design benefit plans that fit the employee s needs rather than the
cheapest or most convenient benefit plan available. As one recent report espoused a good example is
the shift from defined benefit pension plans for which employers bear the funding burden to defined
contribution plans, which are generally funded by employers and employees together (Vandermillen,
2012, p. 19). According to Vandermillen, employers now have the responsibility to make sure
employees have the knowledge and tools they need to help them make the most of their retirement
benefits (p. 19). Now employers not only have to provide benefits that are conducive to employee
retention but it seems that they also have to assist the employees in understanding exactly how those
benefits are advantageous to the employees. Employees from different areas of the United States may

The Great Depression Of Arthur Miller, A Life Of Fame,...
A life of fame, luxury, and well known plays. This was unquestionably the life of Arthur Miller, who
is one of America s well known playwrights of the twentieth century. His impact on American theater
is still recognized today and will continue to be looked at for years to come. However, Miller will not
only be recognized by his plays but by his high profile marriage, his work in politics and the list goes
on. Arthur miller is viewed through American literature by his life, literary works, and impact on
American theater. Born in New York City, New York on October 17, 1915, by two Polish immigrant
Isidore and Augusta Miller. In Millers early years his father was a successful business owner
providing a luxury life for his family. Due to the start of the great depression in the late 1920 s his
business collapse, this had a big impact on Millers life. Centola stats in a biography, This sudden
collapse of the familiar world was a crucial experience in Miller s life, and he would later frequently
draw on the tensions that were created by that severe economic crisis in his writings (Centola). After
high school miller will eventually attended the University of Michigan in 1934, this is where Millers
playwriting career began. There, in addition to engaging in occasional journalistic efforts, he
effectively launched his playwriting career; by the time he graduated with a BA in 1938, he had seen
his own dramas performed and had received several honors (Centola). After Graduating

The Importance Of Art And The Judgement Of Hunefer
Art by its nature is a subject of the philosophical, social, economic, political or religious context
surrounding its creator. More often than not, a work of art addresses a specific topic or somewhat
revolves around a particular person. Therefore, it is impossible to separate the context of a piece of
painting, either historical or cultural, to its intrinsic value or the artwork s meaning. On the other hand,
different cultures and time utilized specific conventions that govern the representation of objects of
creativity. This essay highlights various pieces of art and their relationship to particular cultural,
political, economic, or social settings. Moreover, it pinpoints how different times influence art
presentation. One of the pieces of art that shows the relationship between context and art is the
Judgement of Hunefer as illustrated in the Book of The Dead (Kleiner, 2016). The Judgement of
Hunefer is a painting on a papyrus scroll showing the journey of Hunefer, a royal scribe, and steward
of Seti, from his death to the afterlife. The image illustrates several items including spells and prayers
needed to secure a happy immortality (Kleiner, 2016). Moreover, the picture shows several steps in
transition into the afterlife including Anubis, the jackal headed god of embalmment leading Hunefer
into the hall of judgment, Anubis weighing Hunefer s heart against a feather, and finally Hunefer
meeting Horus to receive an award of the eternal life (Kleiner, 2016). The

Value Of Hrm Essay
The value of HRM to business organisations
Section 1: Literature Review
The approach to the employment of people experienced a major shift from traditional personnel
management towards human resource management (HRM) in 1980s, when the deflation and recession
crashed into the infrastructure of employment. After that shift, the employees were more likely
assumed as valuable assets and a key source of competitive advantage (Marchington and Wilkinson,
2002), and the effective management of resourceful humans tended to be seen as a crucial approach to
improve organizational performance through the strategic deployment of a highly committed and
capable workforce using an array of cultural, structural and personnel techniques (Storey, ... Show

If it is not large enough, then it is hard to trigger a change in work performance. As Lawler (1990,
cited in Marchington and Wilkinson, 2002, p. 501) suggested that variable pay less than 10 per cent of
base salary would be not attractive in PRP scheme.
An organization introduces and develops a PRP programme generally involving these main stages:
setting objectives for rewarding employees according to their performance; analyzing the
circumstances of organization, including its culture and the type of employees; determining who
should be participated in line managers, team leaders, employees and trade unions; considering
methods of performance appraisal; carrying out the plan and assessing its effects. PRP should be
schemed and conducted with great care and organizations have to be flexible to adjust the plan timely
for constantly changing environment and the feedback from staff (Armstrong, 2002). The following
part will describe two organizations conducting PRP scheme.
Section 2: Case Study Description
In this section, two pieces of empirical researches are introduced for the further analysis in next
section. The first case of Finbank is regarded as an unsuccessful case of PRP system. And the second
case of NHS has been chosen for two reasons: Firstly, though NHS is not exactly a business
organization, the PRP of NHS was set by commercial oriented objectives (Bach, 1994, cited in
Dowling and Richardson). Therefore NHS still bears mush resemblance of

The Theory, Ego Psychology, And Attachment Theory
Drive Theory, Ego Psychology, Object Relations, Self Psychology, and Attachment Theory are
different vistas from which we can observe and study human development. I have decided to explain
mine from the perspective of Attachment Theory, whose main contributors include John Bowlby,
Mary Ainsworth, and Mary Main. However, before doing so, it would be useful to outline a bony
framework and define certain key concepts of Attachment Theory, which focuses on the relationships
and bonds between people particularly long term ones such as child parent and husband wife.
Bowlby believed that the needs for attachments are built into our biology, and because humans
experience the longest period of immaturity of all animal species, we might infer that they are not
hardwired to have inflexible personalities, nor can they survive independently of parents. Humans are
gregarious creatures who cannot exist in vacuums, and their early ineptitude and dependence
apparently make them mutually dependent beings.
Attachment also affords a type of reciprocity between parent and child, because both benefit from
their relationship to each other. The child benefits by receiving affective care form the parent and the
parent benefits by experiencing a sense of value for caring for the child. If a child has a secure
attachment pattern, it will more readily accept the caregiver s advice and instructions since he or she
trust the caregiver. Bowlby believed that the earliest bonds formed by children with

Analysis Of The Grumbling Hive, By Bernard Mandeville
The renowned economist Milton Friedman once said, Innovation comes from self interest, not
government agencies. This idea, seen as controversial and offensive to many, is at the core of Bernard
Mandeville s argument in his poem, The Grumbling Hive: or, Knaves turn d Honest. The poem
compares the working of society to a busy hive. The hive is flourishing until suddenly the bees
become honest and righteous leading them to live simple lives without a thrive community. Through
this analogy, Mandeville argues that pursuit of private vices generates public improvements and
economic prosperity, meaning, individuals tendencies to pursue their own vices, such as lust and greed
to innovation for society as a whole. This is demonstrated through the benefits of marijuana
legalization.
Mandeville addresses many aspects of degeneracy and selfishness within private life, highlighting vice
as an intrinsic and unavoidable part of . Vice, by Mandeville s standards, is an action that fulfills the
individual in some respect but is immoral, selfish, and unfair. The seven deadly sins provide a
framework for behavior that would be considered detrimental and self regarding. Mandeville, in the
poem, provides examples of such actions within all echelons of society. Mandeville writes, Physicians
valu d Fame and Wealth/ Above the dropping Patient s Health (71 72). As example of greed, medical
professionals pursuit of capital gain and social stature are the driving factor in treating patients rather
than an altruistic desire to aid humanity. Again, Mandeville displays occurrences of vice within
society by demonstrating instances of individual s pursuit of wealth at the expense of others, Their
Kings were serv d, but Knavishly,/ Cheated by their own Ministry;/ ...Robbing the very Crown they
saved (113 117). The King s own advisors and officials steal from him, greedily pursuing their own
self interests over that of the Kingdom. Mandaville is a realist in the sense that he acknowledges
humanities inherent drive to serve oneself before others and engage in immoral and corrupt behavior.
He addresses greed and dishonesty in private life without hesitation or resentment. It is this self
pursuit that Mandeville argues actually

Poor Fish
You can t blame gravity for falling in love. This quote from Albert Einstein raises importance to the
universal theme of true love. This theme can be seen in the Italian story Poor Fish, where the main
character had low self esteem. Later in the story, he met a girl named Ida and started gaining more
confidence in himself. Another story that demonstrates true love is the Chinese The Tall Woman and
Her Short Husband. This story revolves around the lives of a married couple in which the woman is
taller than her spouse. In the story, no one believes that they are in love and they start suspecting that
Mrs. Tall only married for wealth. However, in light of the tragedies that happen, true love is
exemplified in the end. These stories demonstrate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main character in Poor Fish is has a very low self esteem in the beginning, but after meeting a
woman named Ida his confidence started growing to new levels. Moravia uses inferiority to describe
his individulaity in the story; People never know very much about who they are, nor about who is
inferior to them and who superior. As for me, I went too far in the direction of thinking myself inferior
to everybody (Moravia). The main character soon becomes too over confident in himself, and this also
alters how other people see him. The Whitley Abbey School District describes the individuality of the
main characters in The Tall Woman and Her Short Husband, [Mrs. Tall] seems to be the opposite of
her husband in every respect; tall where he is short, thin where he is fat, dull where he is bright. The
author does this to show that, although they don t seem suited at all, their genuine love for each other
makes physical differences irrelevant (Whitley Abbey School District). All these physical and
emotional differences contribute to their own uniqueness. They also go on to describe that this is, at
heart, a love story, describing a couple who stick together through thick and thin, who society has
made outcasts but who have found belonging with each other. The two forget about usual conventions
in order to best suit

Reading is a great way for students to engage in cultural experiences from their own background,
history, values and customs (Blake, 2015) Educators need to understand the importance of
multicultural education and provide opportunities for their students to learn about different cultures
(Chittom, 2015). The literature should spark children s imaginations and provide a basis for questions
and conversations. (Meade, 2015). It is important for preschool and elementary students to see
themselves and their communities reflected in the literature they read (Blake, 2015).
Effects of Incorporating Multicultural Literacy in the Classroom
Multiculturalism adds to students comfort when working with their peers of diverse racial and ethnic
backgrounds (Werner, 2013). At its best multicultural children s literature helps students understand
that despite our many differences we all share common feelings and aspirations (Allers, 2011). It is

The Role And Role Of Public Administration
Public administrators play a huge role in the government and are the bridge connecting the
government and the public. They are the public s voice and ensure that we as people, have our basic
needs met. This does not go without issues and dilemmas, which are faced almost daily. Multiple areas
of a public administrator s job need to be taken into account such as public interest, the dilemmas of
privatizing government functions, ethical obligations and administrative responsibility. On the other
end of the spectrum, some believe that the needs of the people cannot be accuratley guaged because
our world is ever changing, which would make the job of a public administrator impossible. When
public administrators are chosen for their job, it is believed that they are the best for the job and that
they will hold the public s interest at heart. Public interest is that which is the best for the majority.
While not all decisions will make everyone happy because, that is impossible; public administrators
ensure that the people s best interest is being heard. This group of people make sure that regulations
and services are passed that will help the people. While these might not be the most relevant and up to
date issues, public administrators are placed to make sure the basics such as social security and where
our tax money goes is in favor of the needs of the people. Public administrators don t get a lot of credit
because the things that they ensure are things that we take for granted

Analysis Of Rudolf Laban s Theory Of Dance
Born in Austro Hungary in 1879, Rudolf Laban developed a theory that provided a means to exploring
and expanding one s movement vocabulary. Although frequently used in choreographic processes, this
toolset helps one explore different aspects of dance improvisation. Worldwide, his theory of analyzing
movement has helped dancers grow more creative in their improvisation. When improvising, dancers
often use varying levels of structure to control the direction of improvisation, and this particular
structure based in Europe is used in almost every setting of dance in academia. Much of our
exploration of dance improvisation involved delving into the eight movement efforts that Rudolf
Laban developed, and these eight effort qualities can be categorized into four different groups:
direction, weight, speed, and flow. For direction, movements can either be direct, which means there is
intention and thought before every movement, or indirect, where the direction of one movement does
not necessarily correspond to that of the next. For weight, movements can be either heavy, which can
often be visible or the weight of the limbs and the awareness of gravity and the floor, or light, where a
sensation of weightlessness or floating is often used. For speed, movements can either be quick, where
movements rapidly progress from one to the next, or slow, where the urgency of time is neglected. For
flow, movements can be either bound, where there is a sense of an imaginary outside force acting

The Relationship Between Media And Bias
Bryson Cook Professor Daniel Baracskay American Government 1101 9 September 2016 The
Relationship Between Bias and the Media Since its inception, the media has been fiercely castigated
for the substantial amount of bias it allegedly encompasses. Popular television media outlets such as
CNN or Fox News have been accused of containing said bias by both sides of the political spectrum,
and the introduction of news websites and programs on the internet have unlocked a door filled with

In their report, Fox News asks If the 2016 presidential election were held today, how would you vote
if the candidates were: Democrat Hillary Clinton, Republican Donald Trump, (Other), (Wouldn t

vote for Hillary Clinton while 38% answered they would vote for Donald Trump, but the actual survey
is not where the bias lies. Shortly after the survey concluded and the results were in, Fox News started
covering what the survey revealed and the headline showed FOX POLL: TRUMP LEADS WITH
INDEPENDENTS (Stevens, 2016). Fox News had displayed the wrong results from the poll with no
substantial reasoning supporting it. Many critics that have examined this event conclude that Fox
News was perhaps trying to sway their viewers to believe that the Republican candidate was in the
lead so that the momentum would carry towards November. However, not all Republicans support
Trump, so this assumption may not be a valid reason. Also, the fact that many of the individuals who
watch Fox News are conservatives may hold some meaning behind this fiasco. Perhaps Fox News was
attempting to sway conservatives who were on the fence about voting for the Republican nominee to
rally behind a common candidate against the common enemy. Either way, Fox News has decided to
drop their socialization role, which is presenting the same information and portraying cultural values

Retrograde Amnesia In The Movie Memento
Memory Movie Review (Answers/ Responses)
A 1. Within the movie Memento , the type of memory loss the main character, Leonard, in this movie
was suffering, is most likely anterograde amnesia the inability to form new Memories[1] due to him
within the movie not being able to recall what has happened an hour after, in sequence of events in the
films story. I would also argue that Leonard has retrograde amnesia unable to remember some or all of
their past, especially episodic memories for recent events[2] which could be supported with the fact
when he was questioned by Teddy, about his and his wife s past showing in the movie he has doubt
and no solid assurance of the past as he feels that he remembers it in two different ways.
A 2. Retrieval Cue, is a clue, prompt, or hint that can help trigger recall of a stored memory[3] . I feel
that Retrieval Cues are important in the function of long term memory as the opposite retrieval cue
failure, which refers to the inability to recall long term memories because of inadequate or missing
retrieval cues.[4] shows that not having, or having a failure in retrieval cues can cause no
remembrance of the past, therefore having trouble with memory in general which is seen throughout
the film, Memento, in the struggles Leonard had, trying to recognize his situation, what is he doing
and why?
A 3. The theories of forgetting include :
Decay theory we forget memories because we don t use them and they fade away over time

Barrie gets the visions of his new play from all the imagination that the four kids show. Through these

Barrie goes on a perilous journey, a struggle follows in which he proves himself in the doing the task.
When Barrie completes the quest of creating the new play, which is known as Peter Pan, there is

She was too young to know about the world around her and was safe. She gained a sister Jo anne and
the two little girls didn t know that tragedy was just around the corner, lurking in the shape of a
Taniwha, Waipero (alcohol).
Leonie had met Waipero numerous times and was familiar with his wiley ways this is told in another
story. Kevin could not protect the family for he was lost in a great sadness and confusion. His family
was growing apart and he felt powerless to stop it. Leonie was desperate after another onslaught from
Waipero and called upon the help of a wizened old man who promised aid. He took Leonie and her
daughters away and she went willingly for she was weary of the battle and did not notice the spell cast
upon them. Alas, the wizened old man exacted a cruel price for her devotion. He took their voices.

The Role Of Transformation In Gothic Literature
How can gothic literature be so scary but so interesting at the same time? Transformation plays a chief
role in gothic literature. For example, transformation makes the characters and the plot scarier. In the
stories Where is Here? , The Fall of the House of Usher and the movie Disturbia the characters and the
plot transform making the story scarier and more intriguing. To begin, in the story Where is Here? The
stranger that comes to visit his childhood home starts off as a nice man but as the story goes on, he
transforms into a very weird mysterious man. He says weird things like, We ve all been dead they ve
all been dead a long time. (Oates 19). When he says this, he is talking about him and his family but it
is strange that he

The Impact of Market Orientation on Business Performance
A working title for the research:
Investigating the relationship between Market Orientation and Business Performance of SMEs in
Pakistan .
Definition of the research:
Market orientation a term used by marketers as indicator of the degree to which firm implements its
marketing concept (Komppula and Reijonen, 2010). A market oriented firm has a greater ability in
achieving higher performance compared to non market oriented firm (Agarwal et al., 2003). The
concept of market orientation has received a great deal of consideration since the topic was re
introduced by Kohli and Jaworski (1990) and Narver and Slater (1990). The relationship between
market orientation and firm performance is extensively highlighted and contended that ... Show more

have been reviewed such as Emerald Database, JSTOR (Arts and Sciences III), ScienceDirect
Freedom Collection (Elsevier), and Google Scholar. The search keywords and time length were also
determined and applied to the literature survey. The key words for literature search are market
orientation, marketing orientation, customer orientation, SMEs, SMEs in Pakistan, business
performance, measures of market orientation, and measures of business performance. The above
mentioned key words were selected because they mostly represent the main elements of the topic.
Secondly, studying such key words is important to generate a significant review of the literature in the
field of market orientation and its relationship with business performance in the context of SMEs.
The literature on market orientation and its relationship with business performance is immense, but
most of it is written in the context of large organization. The main problem face during search for
literature is the scarcity of materials on market orientation in SMEs. As for the knowledge of
researcher is concern there is not even a single study on market orientation and its relationship with
business performance in SMEs in Pakistan.
Preliminary review and evaluation of the relevant literature:
Since this research focuses on the relationship of market orientation with business performance of

Pennyrile s Weaknesses
Pennyrile District Health Department s website and intranet are ways to inform the public of the
services the organization provide. The state Department of Public Health and the Center of Disease
Control (CDC) has had a website for some time. These two organizations covered many of the
services that we provide on a basic level. In 2011, our organization started our own website at
PennyrileHealth.org. The website allowed us to provide more detail to our communities on all the
services we provide. Some of the services are required services that all health departments across the
state provide and some services are ones that are more centralized to what are communities feel like
they need. Along with the website we have pages on social media s Twitter and Facebook. ... Show

our organization, we contract out our IT issues with a third party company that does not handle
website updates. Therefore, unless we pay to have it outsourced myself or the Human Resource
Manager have been the ones responsible for it and with little time allotment between other jobs the

Comparing The Bluest Eye And Lamar s Black Is Beautiful
Black Is Beautiful is a cultural movement that was created by African American communities in the
United States. The fight for equal rights and more positive views on African Americans started in the
1960s when society would make negative judgments on them since the media believed that African
Americans were only good for being slaves. The novel The Bluest Eye (1970) by Toni Morrison and
the album To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar both show oppression through institutionalized
racism. The idea of Black Is Beautiful is influenced through Morrison s novel and Lamar s album by
using the themes of low self esteem / self hate and judgment beyond skin color.
One of the main themes in the novel The Bluest Eye is low self esteem / self hate. The author reveals
this theme through the character s actions and word choice. In The Bluest Eye, the author reveals how
Claudia feels about herself by explaining what she did to the blue eyed doll. She says, I fingered the
face, wondering at the single stroke eyebrows... I could not love it. But I could examine it to see what
it was that all the world said was lovable (Morrison 21). Another way low self esteem and self hate is
revealed is in Kendrick ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

him. After he learns about colored people and niggers , he starts to feel more superior than them which
lead to him becoming hateful towards these children. Lamar also mentions this in his song

The suitability of the use of animal models and SiRNA Technologies in autosomal dominantly
inherited neurodegenerative disease
Dr P Martin
Biomedical Science
Abstract: The treatment of dominantly inherited neurodegenerative disease has been not feasible until
recent discovers of gene therapy. Discovers such as short interfering RNA (siRNA) which cause gene
silencing due to the molecule forming a complex with messenger RNA (mRNA), resulting in the
degradation of mRNA through pathways in the cell. The siRNA properties shows the potential in the
treatment of such diseases. However the advancements of such therapies require mouse models to

However the prevalence of such diseases is in areas where there are small community resulting in
interbreeding, for example Huntington s disease (HD) and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS); are
prime examples of such incidents. This class of diseases causes the apoptosis of neurons and
surrounding cells. The outcome for the sufferers has often been death. However there is promising
developments in gene therapy, including SiRNA therapy in the treatment of these diseases.
Small Interfering RNA (SiRNA) was discovered by Andrew Fire and Craig Mello, receiving the Nobel
Prize in 2006 for their work. (Kaur et al, 2012) Typically SiRNA are between 21 and 23 RNA
nucleotides in length. SiRNA has the ability to cause the inactivity of a genes expression in somatic
mammalian cells; has proven to be an exceptional tool for researchers for the control of disease
causing genes and theoretical treatments of inherited diseases in the future. However siRNA can only
be used once the target mRNA sequence is known. (Sioud, 2004) However due to the Human Genome
Project, a large portion of the target genes have been sequenced allowing SiRNA to become more
practical.
The siRNA molecule is the product of the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway. The starting molecule in
the pathway is a long triggering double stranded RNA (dsRNA). The dsRNA is formed from either an
RNAi molecule inserted into the cell or a siRNA which complexes with a specific strand of messenger
RNA

Examples Of Coming Of Age In Mississippi
In the memoir Coming of age in mississippi Anne Moody uses ethos and logos to make her memoir
more credible. .One way she uses logos is when she said A couple of the boys took one end rope and
made it into a hangman s noose. Several attempts were made to put it around our necks. This appeals
to the story since the story talks about blacks not being equal to whites, and the hangman s noose is
most likely about lynching. It really shows how cruel white people were back then. Another way she
uses logos is when she uses the exact times of when this event occurred. For example To divert the
attention from the sit in at Woolworth s,the picketing started at J. C Penney s a good 15 minutes
before. The pickets were allowed to walk up and down

A Balanced Consumption Of Micronutrients
The purpose of a balanced consumption of macronutrients in foods such as carbohydrates, fats and

cured through a healthy lifestyle that consists of careful, considerate choices of foods and an exercise

such as genetics, environmental and psychological influences, overconsumption of certain nutrients in

Being a disaccharide, the body only needs to attain the straightforward process of breaking down a
two molecule chain of carbohydrates by transporting the fructose molecule directly to the liver to be
converted into glucose to be absorbed in the blood. This then causes a rise in both sugar concentration
in the blood and the release of metabolic hormones, which results in a quicker release in energy and
earlier experiences of cravings. If cravings are satisfied, and made into a habit, a continuous buildup
of glucose stores take place. Although the overconsumption of sugar can lead to obesity, the regularity
status of exercise and other nutrients present in foods, such as carbohydrates and fats, are equally as
responsible for the clumps of excess body fat if over consumed.
Carbohydrates are fundamental for managing a pleasant state of the body s health. It is the main
source of energy that is made available for human to be ingested and synthesized, as it yields glucose.
Vital organs including, the heart, brain and skeletal muscles are dependent on glucose as the primary
source of energy in order to function normally. Monosaccharides are the basic unit of sugars as it

Examples Of Romantic Love In Midsummer Night s Dream
Shakespeare celebrates romantic love but also satirizes it Phyllis Rackin claims that Shakespeare
celebrates romantic love but also satirizes it. In this essay, using the example of the comedy
Midsummer Night s Dream , we will try to argue that the writer uses the notion of love as a metaphor,
in order to explore certain topics concerning human feelings. This play was written in 1595 1596,
probably a little later than Romeo and Juliet and deals with the marriage of Theseus, Duke of Athens
and Hippolyta, the Amazon queen as well as all the surrounding events. The other main characters of
the play are Demetrius, Hermia, Lysanderand Helena, the four young Athenians, Nick Bottom, one of

Their wedding is not a result of a love story, not even a misalliance. On the contrary, Theseus has
conquered Hippolyta in battle and forced her to submission. Nowhere in the play has Hippolyta
claimed that she loves him. In addition, the other couple of the older generation, Oberon and Titania,
is not governed by pure and innocent love. Oberon appears to be quite possessive and jealous of his
queen. He is so conceited that he desires to punish and humiliate Titania for disobeying
him.Nevertheless, it is not quite clear whether Oberon and Titania are married.Shakespeare, through

Michael answered the questions the priests was asking as if he was baptizing himself, thinking it

Evaluation Of A Project At Work
A project at work we have completed more recently is the Inventory by location project. It is a new
system implemented to make it easier to locate product in the store and keep track of inventory. The
project took two weeks to complete. The first week was prep work and the second week was
implementation. The first week was broken down into three sequences while second week was broken
down into days. Before the system was put in, inventory only had a few locations in the computer.
There was general, staging, and receiving. The general inventory was anything in the store that was in
general inventory. To locate it, a person just had to know what general area it was in or where it was in
the store. When new employees were hired if they were left alone it took hours to put up stock. They
would have to ask previous employees were product was or should go. It was very ineffective. Cycle
counting inventory was also a nightmare. An employee could not count inventory of one location or
grouping of product. Cycle counts were sporatic and there was no way to know where the product was
in the store. There was not a way to cycle count all inventory in the store without doing it by each
individual part number, which would have taken a month. Now, a cycle count can be done for each
location accounting for all inventory in the store in just a matter of a day. With the new system every
shelf and subunit of shelving has a location in the computer that shows a person where to locate a

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Javascript Framework
Introduction. The last ten years have seen the release of a huge number of JavaScript frameworks.
Designed and developed to aid in the rapid development of websites, web applications and other
online software. Previously, to develop large applications that were secure, fully functional, cross
browser applications would have taken a team of developers, working on bespoke front end and
backend systems. With the advancement of the web browser, along with the maturing of HTML5,
CSS3, JavaScript and the addition of frameworks the possibilities for complex web applications is
huge. It is now possible to substitute desktop applications with apps running in the browser. With the
addition of web frameworks, developers can worry less about the complexities ... Show more content

One of the biggest disadvantages of using JavaScript frameworks is the learning curve involved with
each different framework. Each has their own way of working and can take time to learn the nuances
of the framework. Another concern is new developers learning the frameworks and not the JavaScript
language. Because of the frameworks making development fairly easy, basic knowledge of the
language can be lost or overlooked. When using a framework a developer is limited to the core
behaviour provided. Its behaviour cannot be modified, so when developing an application a developer
must take into consideration its limitations. Security can be a big issue for JavaScript frameworks,
both positive and negative. Most frameworks are open sourced, so this allows people to find flaws that
could be exploited. People with bad motivations can study the code to figure out how to attack a
product using a certain framework. But on the positive side of things, being open sourced also allows
a community of developers to find these flaws and eliminate them before they become a problem.
SEO is another concern when using certain frameworks. Because the code is rendered client side for
most frameworks, it is hard for them to be indexed by search

The Role Of Women During The Canterbury Tales By William...
The role of women in society has been well documented through world literature. And the reality is
that for a large bulk of human history, women have been treated as the subordinate to men and have
not been given a voice (David Splawn, 2015). Works such as The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey
Chaucer, Hamlet by William Shakespeare,The Education of Women by Daniel Defoe, and A Doll s
House by Henrik Ibsen. These works come from a wide variety of time periods, they range from the
middle ages to the modern era, where the first was published around 900 years before the last. While
women make up approximately half of the population of the world, literature does not reflect this
ratio. Even with such population, most works do not even focus on women. Few works have dealt
with the role of women in society throughout the history of literature, but it has become more and
more of a recurring theme as time passes. Works like The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer and
Hamlet by William Shakespeare were rare for their time due to how they portrayed female characters.
Works like The Education of Women by Daniel Defoe and A Doll s House by Henrik Ibsen were wrote
in a time of change and were not as rare as the other works published in the same time period.
Geoffrey Chaucer slams the role of women in his novel, The Canterbury Tales. Chaucer tells three
stories told by women. Each of these women do not fully fulfill the images connected with the role the
character is supposed

Reflection of Prague State Opera’s Performance of Verdi’s...
Prague State Opera s March 12th performance of Verdi s Rigoletto was one of great power and
emotion. Though the opera was sung in Italian and subtitles were only available in Czech, the
language barrier did not hinder enjoyment of the performance in any way. Throughout the entire
opera, the emotions were portrayed brilliantly and could be felt by the audience. The opera begins
with a short prelude that continues as a main theme throughout the entire opera. In contrast to the
rather solemn prelude, Act 1 begins with upbeat dance music. The Duke begins flirting with Countess
Ceprano with the first song Questa o quella. The strophic form and simple tune portray the
shallowness of the Duke. The song reflects the Duke s idea that all women are the same and his lack
of moral character. Count Monterone then enters the scene very distraught because his daughter was
seduced by the Duke. He begins singing Voi congiuraste which has a lurching, jumpy quality about it.
He then curses both the Duke and Rigoletto. As Rigoletto walks home, he is approached by
Sparafucile, an assassin, who offers his services. Rigoletto then begins an aria reflecting on his current
situation and his similarity to the assassin. The string and woodwinds help to convey the solemn mood
and we begin the to see the depth beyond Rigoletto s facade. When Rigoletto enters his home he is
greeted by his daughter Gilda. Afraid that the courtiers will discover her, Rigoletto then tells his
daughter not to go outside

  • 2. Prejudice In The Lion King My process of semiosis is one of peaceful tranquility. In Dustin Kaufman s creative, semiotic process, there is no cacophonous storm that immediately follows the relaxing calm nature in which I strive to work. There is just that: calm. Ironically, my work is almost entirely made up of calamitous actions. Guns, death, and blood. Bullets tear through flesh in an orgy of stylish gore; a rape of the senses. The kind of stuff that sends shivers speeding up the spines of the decent and politically correct whilst bringing a gleeful yet euphoric sense of joy to both the audience and creator. Like most boys growing up in the suburbs, I had a very violent upbringing. I hit the streets daily, performing various seedy tasks for equally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I crafted an absurd tale of a student, fed up and bored with the monotony of school work, who takes a drug trip where he meets a very intense yet motivational Jesus Christ, who helps guide him. To me, the media creator, this film was a fun, completely senseless, for lack of a better word, retarded romp of action and comedy which was warmly received by faculty and peers, and the online audience as well, coming in with several thousand views on YouTube. I was immensely pleased with the outcome, but left both puzzled and humbled by the feedback of one of my professors, who saw not just a goofy short, but a riveting social commentary detailing the creative oppression young people face. Obviously, I did not craft the film with such ideas in mind, but if there is one thing Columbia has instilled in my brain it is that human beings will attach meaning to everything. If there were ever a catalyst that inspired Dangerous Lack of Cheese, it is without a doubt the feedback of my one professor. It comforts me to know that my immensely sarcastic, absurdist creative identity is largely a scarcity here at Columbia. The model had the judges were in awe of the design for many reasons. The design entered by Maya Lin greatly impressed the judges. One reason why it impressed them so much was the design itself. The model had a form that fit the scene perfectly in the Mall. In the essay, Always to Remember: The Vision of Maya Ying Lin, by Brent Ashabranner, states, It is uniquely horizontal, entering the earth rather than piercing the sky. Another piece of evidence is when the essay states, The designer has created an eloquent place where the simple meeting of earth, sky and remembered names contain messages for all who will know this place. The essay also states, This memorial, with its wall of names, becomes a place of quiet reflection, and a tribute to those who served their nation in difficult times. All who come her can find it a place of healing. • 5. Explain Why Students Should Not Be Allowed To Have Cell... Failure to pay attention. Lack of honesty. Poor grades. These are some outcomes of allowing cellphones in class. Eight ball or word cookies may end up causing you to fail or miss an assignment. Students should not be allowed to have and use their cellphones because of inequality, distractions, and dishonesty. To begin with, students should not be allowed to have cell phones in class due to inequality. Even though most students have cell phones, some do not. Students may be embarrassed if they don t have a cell phone like all the other students. Another reason why inequality is an issue because of the lack of power sources. Not all classrooms provide outlets or have enough outlets for everyone to use. Everyone charging their phones at the same time or looking for an outlet at the same time would be chaos. Secondly, distractions are a big ordeal in class. Cell phones are a problem due to sounds and ringtones because they can cause a distraction during a lesson. Maybe in the middle of a test and all of a sudden a ding or a ring goes off. You get all sidetracked and then lose track of what you were thinking of or what the answer was. A student that may not be friends with another classmate could capture an embarrassing moment for the student and post it to allow all of his friends to see it. • 6. Employee Benefit Plans Employee benefits are an important cog in the wheel of industry in today s busy world. Oftentimes, potential employees are more interested in the benefits a company provides than in the salary or compensation they will be receiving. Potential employees oftentimes desire healthcare or insurance plans and pension plans that will take care of them for the long term, not a short term benefit plan. In the past, employers often took a cookie cutter approach, offering the exact same benefits as every other company offered. Such an approach is no longer the norm, instead many companies now work hand in hand with their employees to design benefit plans that fit the employee s needs rather than the cheapest or most convenient benefit plan available. As one recent report espoused a good example is the shift from defined benefit pension plans for which employers bear the funding burden to defined contribution plans, which are generally funded by employers and employees together (Vandermillen, 2012, p. 19). According to Vandermillen, employers now have the responsibility to make sure employees have the knowledge and tools they need to help them make the most of their retirement benefits (p. 19). Now employers not only have to provide benefits that are conducive to employee retention but it seems that they also have to assist the employees in understanding exactly how those benefits are advantageous to the employees. • 7. The Great Depression Of Arthur Miller, A Life Of Fame,... A life of fame, luxury, and well known plays. This was unquestionably the life of Arthur Miller, who is one of America s well known playwrights of the twentieth century. His impact on American theater is still recognized today and will continue to be looked at for years to come. However, Miller will not only be recognized by his plays but by his high profile marriage, his work in politics and the list goes on. Arthur miller is viewed through American literature by his life, literary works, and impact on American theater. Born in New York City, New York on October 17, 1915, by two Polish immigrant Isidore and Augusta Miller. In Millers early years his father was a successful business owner providing a luxury life for his family. Due to the start of the great depression in the late 1920 s his business collapse, this had a big impact on Millers life. Centola stats in a biography, This sudden collapse of the familiar world was a crucial experience in Miller s life, and he would later frequently draw on the tensions that were created by that severe economic crisis in his writings (Centola). After high school miller will eventually attended the University of Michigan in 1934, this is where Millers playwriting career began. There, in addition to engaging in occasional journalistic efforts, he effectively launched his playwriting career; by the time he graduated with a BA in 1938, he had seen his own dramas performed and had received several honors (Centola). • 8. The Importance Of Art And The Judgement Of Hunefer Art by its nature is a subject of the philosophical, social, economic, political or religious context surrounding its creator. More often than not, a work of art addresses a specific topic or somewhat revolves around a particular person. Therefore, it is impossible to separate the context of a piece of painting, either historical or cultural, to its intrinsic value or the artwork s meaning. On the other hand, different cultures and time utilized specific conventions that govern the representation of objects of creativity. This essay highlights various pieces of art and their relationship to particular cultural, political, economic, or social settings. Moreover, it pinpoints how different times influence art presentation. One of the pieces of art that shows the relationship between context and art is the Judgement of Hunefer as illustrated in the Book of The Dead (Kleiner, 2016). The Judgement of Hunefer is a painting on a papyrus scroll showing the journey of Hunefer, a royal scribe, and steward of Seti, from his death to the afterlife. The image illustrates several items including spells and prayers needed to secure a happy immortality (Kleiner, 2016). Moreover, the picture shows several steps in transition into the afterlife including Anubis, the jackal headed god of embalmment leading Hunefer into the hall of judgment, Anubis weighing Hunefer s heart against a feather, and finally Hunefer meeting Horus to receive an award of the eternal life (Kleiner, 2016). • 9. Value Of Hrm Essay The value of HRM to business organisations Section 1: Literature Review The approach to the employment of people experienced a major shift from traditional personnel management towards human resource management (HRM) in 1980s, when the deflation and recession crashed into the infrastructure of employment. After that shift, the employees were more likely assumed as valuable assets and a key source of competitive advantage (Marchington and Wilkinson, 2002), and the effective management of resourceful humans tended to be seen as a crucial approach to improve organizational performance through the strategic deployment of a highly committed and capable workforce using an array of cultural, structural and personnel techniques (Storey, ... As Lawler (1990, cited in Marchington and Wilkinson, 2002, p. 501) suggested that variable pay less than 10 per cent of base salary would be not attractive in PRP scheme. An organization introduces and develops a PRP programme generally involving these main stages: setting objectives for rewarding employees according to their performance; analyzing the circumstances of organization, including its culture and the type of employees; determining who should be participated in line managers, team leaders, employees and trade unions; considering methods of performance appraisal; carrying out the plan and assessing its effects. PRP should be schemed and conducted with great care and organizations have to be flexible to adjust the plan timely for constantly changing environment and the feedback from staff (Armstrong, 2002). The following part will describe two organizations conducting PRP scheme. Section 2: Case Study Description In this section, two pieces of empirical researches are introduced for the further analysis in next section. The first case of Finbank is regarded as an unsuccessful case of PRP system. And the second case of NHS has been chosen for two reasons: Firstly, though NHS is not exactly a business organization, the PRP of NHS was set by commercial oriented objectives (Bach, 1994, cited in Dowling and Richardson). • 10. The Theory, Ego Psychology, And Attachment Theory Drive Theory, Ego Psychology, Object Relations, Self Psychology, and Attachment Theory are different vistas from which we can observe and study human development. I have decided to explain mine from the perspective of Attachment Theory, whose main contributors include John Bowlby, Mary Ainsworth, and Mary Main. However, before doing so, it would be useful to outline a bony framework and define certain key concepts of Attachment Theory, which focuses on the relationships and bonds between people particularly long term ones such as child parent and husband wife. Bowlby believed that the needs for attachments are built into our biology, and because humans experience the longest period of immaturity of all animal species, we might infer that they are not hardwired to have inflexible personalities, nor can they survive independently of parents. Humans are gregarious creatures who cannot exist in vacuums, and their early ineptitude and dependence apparently make them mutually dependent beings. Attachment also affords a type of reciprocity between parent and child, because both benefit from their relationship to each other. The child benefits by receiving affective care form the parent and the parent benefits by experiencing a sense of value for caring for the child. If a child has a secure attachment pattern, it will more readily accept the caregiver s advice and instructions since he or she trust the caregiver. Bowlby believed that the earliest bonds formed by children with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Analysis Of The Grumbling Hive, By Bernard Mandeville The renowned economist Milton Friedman once said, Innovation comes from self interest, not government agencies. This idea, seen as controversial and offensive to many, is at the core of Bernard Mandeville s argument in his poem, The Grumbling Hive: or, Knaves turn d Honest. The poem compares the working of society to a busy hive. The hive is flourishing until suddenly the bees become honest and righteous leading them to live simple lives without a thrive community. Through this analogy, Mandeville argues that pursuit of private vices generates public improvements and economic prosperity, meaning, individuals tendencies to pursue their own vices, such as lust and greed to innovation for society as a whole. This is demonstrated through the benefits of marijuana legalization. Mandeville addresses many aspects of degeneracy and selfishness within private life, highlighting vice as an intrinsic and unavoidable part of . Vice, by Mandeville s standards, is an action that fulfills the individual in some respect but is immoral, selfish, and unfair. The seven deadly sins provide a framework for behavior that would be considered detrimental and self regarding. Mandeville, in the poem, provides examples of such actions within all echelons of society. Mandeville writes, Physicians valu d Fame and Wealth/ Above the dropping Patient s Health (71 72). As example of greed, medical professionals pursuit of capital gain and social stature are the driving factor in treating patients rather than an altruistic desire to aid humanity. Again, Mandeville displays occurrences of vice within society by demonstrating instances of individual s pursuit of wealth at the expense of others, Their Kings were serv d, but Knavishly,/ Cheated by their own Ministry;/ ...Robbing the very Crown they saved (113 117). The King s own advisors and officials steal from him, greedily pursuing their own self interests over that of the Kingdom. This theme can be seen in the Italian story Poor Fish, where the main character had low self esteem. Later in the story, he met a girl named Ida and started gaining more confidence in himself. Another story that demonstrates true love is the Chinese The Tall Woman and Her Short Husband. This story revolves around the lives of a married couple in which the woman is taller than her spouse. The author does this to show that, although they don t seem suited at all, their genuine love for each other makes physical differences irrelevant (Whitley Abbey School District). Although frequently used in choreographic processes, this toolset helps one explore different aspects of dance improvisation. Worldwide, his theory of analyzing movement has helped dancers grow more creative in their improvisation. When improvising, dancers often use varying levels of structure to control the direction of improvisation, and this particular structure based in Europe is used in almost every setting of dance in academia. Much of our exploration of dance improvisation involved delving into the eight movement efforts that Rudolf Laban developed, and these eight effort qualities can be categorized into four different groups: direction, weight, speed, and flow. For direction, movements can either be direct, which means there is intention and thought before every movement, or indirect, where the direction of one movement does not necessarily correspond to that of the next. For weight, movements can be either heavy, which can often be visible or the weight of the limbs and the awareness of gravity and the floor, or light, where a sensation of weightlessness or floating is often used. For speed, movements can either be quick, where movements rapidly progress from one to the next, or slow, where the urgency of time is neglected. For flow, movements can be either bound, where there is a sense of an imaginary outside force acting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Shortly after the survey concluded and the results were in, Fox News started covering what the survey revealed and the headline showed FOX POLL: TRUMP LEADS WITH INDEPENDENTS (Stevens, 2016). Fox News had displayed the wrong results from the poll with no substantial reasoning supporting it. Many critics that have examined this event conclude that Fox News was perhaps trying to sway their viewers to believe that the Republican candidate was in the lead so that the momentum would carry towards November. However, not all Republicans support Trump, so this assumption may not be a valid reason. Also, the fact that many of the individuals who watch Fox News are conservatives may hold some meaning behind this fiasco. Perhaps Fox News was attempting to sway conservatives who were on the fence about voting for the Republican nominee to rally behind a common candidate against the common enemy. Either way, Fox News has decided to drop their socialization role, which is presenting the same information and portraying cultural values to national audiences (Lenz and Holman, pg. 142), by giving their loyal viewers false information regarding their own poll. • 33. The Role Of Women During The Canterbury Tales By William... The role of women in society has been well documented through world literature. And the reality is that for a large bulk of human history, women have been treated as the subordinate to men and have not been given a voice (David Splawn, 2015). Works such as The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, Hamlet by William Shakespeare,The Education of Women by Daniel Defoe, and A Doll s House by Henrik Ibsen. These works come from a wide variety of time periods, they range from the middle ages to the modern era, where the first was published around 900 years before the last. While women make up approximately half of the population of the world, literature does not reflect this ratio. Even with such population, most works do not even focus on women. Few works have dealt with the role of women in society throughout the history of literature, but it has become more and more of a recurring theme as time passes. • 35. Reflection of Prague State Opera’s Performance of Verdi’s... Prague State Opera s March 12th performance of Verdi s Rigoletto was one of great power and emotion. Though the opera was sung in Italian and subtitles were only available in Czech, the language barrier did not hinder enjoyment of the performance in any way. Throughout the entire opera, the emotions were portrayed brilliantly and could be felt by the audience. The opera begins with a short prelude that continues as a main theme throughout the entire opera. In contrast to the rather solemn prelude, Act 1 begins with upbeat dance music. The Duke begins flirting with Countess Ceprano with the first song Questa o quella. The strophic form and simple tune portray the shallowness of the Duke. The song reflects the Duke s idea that all women are the same and his lack of moral character. Count Monterone then enters the scene very distraught because his daughter was seduced by the Duke. He begins singing Voi congiuraste which has a lurching, jumpy quality about it. He then curses both the Duke and Rigoletto. As Rigoletto walks home, he is approached by Sparafucile, an assassin, who offers his services. Rigoletto then begins an aria reflecting on his current situation and his similarity to the assassin. The string and woodwinds help to convey the solemn mood and we begin the to see the depth beyond Rigoletto s facade. When Rigoletto enters his home he is greeted by his daughter Gilda. Afraid that the courtiers will discover her, Rigoletto then tells his daughter not to go outside ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
