Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that affects skin. It is characterized by changes in the skin that include hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, and akantosis.
They are attributed to an increased mitosis rate in the basal region of the epidermis, as well as disorders of maturing and differentiating keratinocytes.
These changes in the dermis and epidermis cause the typical desquamation of the stratum corneum observed in psoriasis. The psoriatic lesions indicate an inflammatory reaction caused by the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines from macrophages, lymphocytes, and neutrophils.
These cytokines may stimulate the inflammatory response via the lipoxygenase and the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathways.
The red, scaling psoriatic plaques often itch and burn. People with psoriasis may suffer discomfort, including pain and itching and emotional distress Psoriasis affects 1% to 2% of the population.

General Methods for Isolation of Terpene Hydrocarbons
1. Fractional Distillation:
• This usually takes place under vacuum or in an atmosphere of inert gas,?? as many hydrocarbons are sensitive to heat in atmospheric oxygen (product name? ? ?).
• This can carried out by gradual increase of the distillation temperature by (1-5oC) or (5-10 oC) according to the boiling point of components.
2. Preparation of the Corresponding Crystalline Additive Products “Adducts”:
Characteristic addition products are formed by N2O3 (Dinitrogen trioxide), N2O4, NOCl (Nitrosyl chloride) and NOBr to yield nitrosites, nitrosates, nitrosochlorides, and nitrosobromides, respectively.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Radish (Raphanus spp.), Onion (red onion) (Allium cepa),
- Antihistaminic: Coleus
- Hormonal regulating herbs: Chaste berry, vitex (Vitex agnus–castus)
- Comedolytic, exfoliative agents: Fruit acids such as citric, gluconic,
gluconolactone, glycolic, malic and tartaric acids, have been used topically
and have shown promise in treating acne because of their exfoliative
properties. In a study, glucolactone was as effective in clearing inflamed
and non-inflamed acne lesions as 5% benzoyl peroxide.
- Topical venous and connective tissue herbs: Hawthorn (Crataegus
laevigata) Biberry fruits (Vaccinium myrtillus), Grap seed (Vitis vinifera)
29. Tea tree )Melaleuca alternifolia(
Constituents: volatile oil
Action and uses: Topical anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory
and antimicrobial activity (effective in acne treatment)
Formulation: 5% tea tree oil gel
30. Basil )Ocimum spp.(
Ocimum basilicum and O. gratissimum
Constituents: volatile oil
Action and uses: Topical anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory and
antimicrobial activity (effective in acne treatment)
Formulation: 5% volatile oil gel
31. Radish (Raphanus spp.(
Raphanus sativus and R. raphanistrum
Constituents: glucosinolates, flavonoids and anthocyanins.
Action and uses: anti-acne agent (astringent and antiseptic)
Formulation: powdered radish seed levigated in honey to get uniform
preparation, and used as anti-acne preparation.
32. Onion, red onion (Allium cepa(
Constituents: Sulfur containing compounds such as cystein and
sulfoxides
Flavonoids (quercetin and kaempferol),
Action and uses: Topical anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory and
antimicrobial activity (effective in acne treatment)
Formulation: Onion is used externally as a poultice
33. Aloe vera gel (Aloe vera)
Constituents: Anthraquinone
Polysaccharides (pectins, hemicelluloses, glucomannan, acemannan,
and mannose derivatives) composed of several monosaccharides,
predominantly mannose 6-phosphate
34. Action and uses:
Topical anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity
(effective in acne treatment and minor wounds and inflammatory
skin disorders)
Aloe gel alone show minimal activity against acne but have
synergistic effect with Ocimum oil as anti-acne agent.
Mechanism of action
- It improves the healing of wound through
1-Stimulation the activity of macrophages and fibroblasts by
Binding of Mannose 6-phosphate and acemannan to the growth
factor receptors on the surface of the fibroblasts ↑their
activity↑granulation tissue ↑wound healing
Stimulation of Acemannan to macrophage ↑release of fibrogenic
cytokines
2- Increasing collagen and content of the granulation (Increasing
glycosaminoglycans especially hyaluronic acid of extracellular
matrix)
35. Chaste berry , vitex (Vitex agnus-castus(
Mechanism of action: ↑relase of (FSH) and ↓(LH) ↑progestrone
level and ↓estogen ttt acne.
36. Wound healing
The grand scenario of wound healing combines three processes:
hemostasis (because vessels are open), inflammation (because
there has been injury) and regeneration (because structures have
been severed or destroyed)
Factors affecting wound healing:
1- The presence or absence of bacteria.
2- The nature of the wound (open or closed).
3- The blood supply (tissue perfusion).
4- The amount of dead tissue to be eliminated
5- The type of wounded tissue
6- Age (wounds in older persons close more slowly).
7- Diabets makes the wound more prone to infection, prolong
inflammation, impair neovasculization, decrease collagen synthesis,
and impairs the macrophage functions.
8- Nutrition 9- Steroid therapy: delays the wound healing
10- Cancer and chemotherapy.
11- Stress: Psychological stress delays wound healing and
decreases immune 12- Smoking: may delay wound healing.
38. Phytotherapy of wounds
- Immune-enhancing herbs topically: Echinacea and Black seed oil
- Healing, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial herbs topically:
