Donald Trump As A Good Role Model
Many do not see Donald Trump as a good person, but he still has done some good things with his life.
He has donated to over 298 charities through his organization, giving about $5.5 million total. He
wants a tax plan to help the poor. Anyone earning under $25,000 would pay no income tax which
would be very helpful. Most people don t believe this, but he is a very confident person and a good
role model. Showing how even if you start with a small amount of money, you can turn it into a billion
or more dollars. Donald J. Trump was born in Queens New York, on June 14th 1946. Born to Fred and
Mary Anne Trump. He attended New York Military Academy at the age 13. After graduating he
attended Fordham University before transferring to Wharton School of Finance at the University of
Pennsylvania, to study economics. In 1971 Trump was given control of his father s business. He then
changed it to Trump Organization, moving to Manhattan to begin a new life, with powerful
connections. The pennsylvania central railroad entered bankruptcy, that s when trump then purchased
the property, and created the city convention center. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Well there is almost no argument to that it shows how black and white society can be, while truthfully
there is a lot of grey in between, no one tells it how it is, and media jumps on every chance it gets to
turn a bad situation into a political one. Donald Trump s ill mannered statements and actions seem
offensive, and some are, but sometimes that s what the people need to hear. The truth is not always
gonna be nice, and sometimes you got to admit that some parts of this beautiful country of ours, is
screwed up. And no, obviously Trump is not the perfect candidate, but is anyone? Will there be any
president who didn t mess something up?. Of course Donald Trump has very controversial ideas about
some things, but it doesn t make him all bad. Even someone like Donald Trump has a decent

Swot Analysis Of L. L Bean
Introduction: L.L. Bean Inc. or simply L.L. Bean is a retail company that specializes in outdoor
recreational equipment. Product selections ranges from tents, sleeping bags, camping packs, hiking
gear and outdoor apparel. Founded in 1912 by Leon Leonwood Bean, L.L. Bean remains a privately
owned retail company. Leon Bean was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing. When
he initially set up shot L.L. Bean only sold one product the duck boot. This boot was designed to be
lightweight and waterproof intended for hunters. Later on Leon Bean started to branch out by selling
other outdoors gear such as backpacks and tents and would eventually produce their own clothing line.

Competitive Analysis L.L. Bean is currently in a market where there are few stores that dominate.
They face competition from companies such as Columbia, North Face, REI Timberland. In some cases
these companies may offer a wider range of products, more appealing design and higher quality.
Where L.L. Bean stands out is there in country manufacturing and Discovery School classes. Not only
are they selling outdoor gear they are offering outdoor classes as well. The way I look at it is, they
offer a product and a way to test it out at the same time so you know whether you are buying a good
quality product. But this however may still not be enough to succeed. Below I have included a list of
L.L. Bean s competitors. Columbia Columbia Sportswear may not be one of L.L. Beans strongest
competitors as they do not offer equipment but they do have a strong presence in apparel and offer a
good quality product. Based on the west coast in Washington County Oregon. Similar to L.L. Bean
Columbia is family owned but traded on public stock exchange. Columbia Sportswear takes pride in
manufacturing there products and has taken a stance to be environmentally friendly. Since Columbia

The Protests Of The Syrian Uprising Essay
Security forces opened fire, killing at least four protesters and within days, the protests grew into
rallies that gathered thousands of people. The killings of these four were ultimately regarded by many
as the first deaths of the Syrian uprising. The community s blunt outrage over the children s arrests
and mistreatment, the government s humiliating and violent reactions to their worries and the people s
refusal to be cowed by security forces embolden and helped spread the Syrian opposition. This notion
demonstrates that the killing of the four protestors was only the first of many deaths to occur
continuing into an on going war that has: ...triggered nationwide protests demanding President Assad s
resignation. Because of this, the Syrian government decided that in order to handle the issue they must
crush this nationwide dissent. This in return only allowed the protestors to push harder for a change
within the country of Syria, in hopes of it becoming the wonderful country that it was in the years
prior to the war. Syria s conflict has devolved from peaceful protests against the government in 2011
to a violent insurgency that has drawn in numerous other countries. With neither side able to inflict a
decisive defeat on the other, the international community long ago concluded that only a political
solution could end the conflict in Syria. It is because of the similar actions that took place within the
Palestinian Israeli conflict that similar issues are beginning

The Split of Yougoslavia
DISCUSS the reasons of the split of Yugoslavia and its consequences on its people and society.
After the Second World War, the great nation of Yugoslavia was formed by countries considered
similar but extremely diverse in contexts of religion, culture and ideals. The break up of this nation
resulted from the weaknesses in government after the death of their leader and national tensions which
had been present for centuries. From this, the Yugoslav war had been triggered impacting the peace
amongst the nations which once resided together and causing destruction, which had, and still does,
cause problems for and amongst the nations and people involved.
Yugoslavia was a nation in the Balkan region of Europe formed, under a monarchy of King Peter I
after the First World War, named the Kingdom Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. This nation holds historic
significance due to it being the first union since the Ottoman and Austro Hungarian Empires
conquering the region. Yugoslavia first gained international recognition on 13th July 1922 by the
Conference of Ambassadors in Paris and was later renamed the kingdom of Yugoslavia on the 3rd of
October 1925.
After the Invasion of the Nazi regime on April 6th 1941, Yugoslavia was under the control of Fascism
and abolished monarchy in 1945. It was then later freed from Nazi rule by Communist leader, Marshal
Josip Broz Tito and the Partisan Army and renamed the Federal People s Republic of Yugoslavia (later

Personal Assessment Of Strengths And Areas For Development
What did you learn about your leadership? Personal Assessment of Strengths and Areas for
Development. I have more than one overdone strengths. One of them is over optimism about people,
organization, and trust in the management team. Whether it s upper level, or middle management, I
always feel that they know the best, and they know what they are doing. I only see that everything is
done accurately as they are versus how they could or should be. Remaining loyal to others and the
organization does cause issues for me, because others don t normally see it that way. Trying to make
things easier for others, or trying to be less of a burden on others is perceived as I have no backbone of
myself. Defending the rights of others is seen as I m just always siding with the others. Ensuring
others are valued is seen as what do I need from them. Being sincere is seen as I don t know what I m
doing, and am very easy to please, so I can be ignored. Involve family and friends to point out to me
when I m over using my strengths. This will make me aware of what I really need to concentrate on.
This will help me focus and align my strengths on the needs of everyone, and the organization, and
concentrate on other people who have complementary strengths. Realization that my overdone
strengths could in fact be detrimental to not only my progress, but also others. In general, overdoing it
may hurt my effectiveness just as much as underdoing it. I have to be more cognizance of how others

Robots Vs Robots
With space travel being a topic much looked at since the middle of the 20th century, it is only
inevitable that man has already entered space and taken that step into space travel. However, even
though man has done so before, it does not necessarily man should continue to do what can be done
by the technological advantages of this age; robots. Having the ability to send exclusively robotic
missions into space provides many advantages that a human accompanied mission could not also have
claim to, one obvious variation being in the safety of a robotic mission versus a manned mission.
Humans are fragile when it comes to being put into environments other than their own (Colwell Britt,
n.d.) and there are a lot of physical health setbacks. When in zero g in space, human bodies face many
changes such as a sudden height increase, and even face a weakening of the bones that can later lead
to bones breaking much easier from even small accidents ( Manned or Unmanned? , 2001). Humans
also face the risk of being exposed to radiation when there is no atmosphere surrounding them to
protect them ( Manned or Unmanned? , 2001) and the temperatures of different planets and elements
of space make it nearly impossible for a human to be able to travel to certain places (Colwell Britt,
n.d). Robots, however, do not face this kind of setback and are much more tolerant to the environment
outside of earth s atmosphere. Human lives are also at risk when in space, and can be lost very quickly

In today s competitive workforce, talent is not only incremental, but also scarce. War for talent, a term
coined by Steven Hankin of McKinsey Company, refers to the competitive landscape of talent
management of skilled and valuable employees. Talent management is defined as the implementation
of integrated strategies or systems designed to increase workplace productivity by developing
improved processes for attracting, developing, retaining and utilizing people with the required skills

Telecommuting programs are also aided with the arrangement of appropriate technology, which makes
working from home easier. As one of the large scaled companies Deloitte and the Westpac Group

their IT and Information and Communication Technology structure respectively by providing their
staff with the appropriate technology to carry out tasks from the comfort of their homes. Westpac
allows applicable employees the option to work from home and telecommute, this is mutually
sustainable with the company philosophy that acts a vital contributor to attract lateral hires (Deloitte,
2013). Not only did Deloitte and Westpac recognize that in order for their telecommuting program to
work they needed to provide the staff with the right tools to do the job efficiently and compliantly,
they were also able to connect to a wider range of their staff. Empirical research conducted by Deloitte

The videos assigned for this week were not only interesting but also intense, definitely full of vital

really important point, that being *fear of victimization. In fact, is has been proven that even though
crime in the U.S. has declined, fear of crime is still a huge issue. However, I do believe that it is
mostly because of the extensive coverage crimes get nowadays, mass media has influenced the way
we consume news and their power has increased significantly. Moreover, as mentioned in The Hidden

more significant since the new generation grow up consuming

The Multi-Store Model
Multi store model and the working memory theories show how the brain receives and transfers
information. A neurons are nerve cell that are building blocks for the nervous system. Which
specialized in transmitting information in the form of a stimulus throughout the body and brain in a
chemical or electrical form that the brain can handle and then store the information in the brain
system.
Multi store model of memory
Literature review 450 Words
Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin were the first two to reveal how the human memory works in
1982, and they design the multi store model. According to them both information is stream through
the memory system then separated into a set of stages for the information to be stored. The three
stages of process for the memory are sensory memory, short term memory and long term memory.
Each stage of the process, there are limitations in the terms of capacity, duration and encoding.

phonological loop, visuo spatial sketchpad and episodic buffer. The central executive controls the
three features and holds no information, just distributes information. As for phonological loop consists
of two separate stores department which are the phonological store that processes the words we hear

Similarities Between Samurai And Knights
In about 1000 to 1600 CE in history two warriors were made with a different name and in two
different countries. More than a thousand years ago, a class of professional warriors arose, who swore
oaths of loyalty to noble lords and fought to the death to defend them in battle (Overview). The two
warriors were samurai and knights. Samurais were fighting for Japan in the class of military retainers
of the daiyomes while across the seas the knights were fighting on horseback in Europe. To keep order
in the land both regions developed a system that historians called federalism. There were more
differences than similarities and here are some reasons why the differences were greater than the
similarities.
The first reason why the differences are greater than the similarities is because of the social order in
feudal Japan and Europe. Historians and other scholars use social pyramids to show how societies
were structured (Document A). The samurai owned loyalty and military service to daimyo s for land
or regular payment while on the other hand knights owned loyalty and military service to the lords.
Another difference about samurais and knights was the population. Samurai with families took about
10% of Japan s population and in Europe, there was estimated 12,000 knights in England and
Normany France in the 12th century. One more difference is that there are four people above the
knight in the social order but only three for samurai.
The second reason why the differences

to increase the competition worldwide. The deregulation will drop the demand for undergraduate
courses offered by the Australian universities among domestic or international students. The

The Lokia And Like The Leaves By Graciela Huinao And Two...
Scars that can t be seen, are the hardest to heal. This phrase can be connected to the two literary
poems, The Lokia, written by Graciela Huinao and Like the Leaves poet by Humberto Ak abal. In The
Lokia, expresses the grief of the Native Americans of losing their properties to the Europeans.
Similarity, the second poem Like the Leaves, illustrates that a tree is a figure of a Native American
losing their culture and themselves to the injustices of their society. Both of these two poems are then
connected to a historical text, Canada s Hidden History, My Mother and Me, authored by Gabrielle
Scrimshaw. In Canada s Hidden History, My Mother and Me communicate the injustice events of the
Native Americans has to endure; only lived the role of a bystander. In the two literary poems, The
Lokia, written by Graciela Huinao and Like the Leaves by Humberto Ak abal, the two authors used
symbolism to convey the scars of the Native American society, which it can never be healed. The two
poems, however, advocate becoming an upstander that stands against the injustices. The Loika, who
can only sing in sorrow, is a representation of the scars in the Native Americans that can t do anything
to stop the conqueror. The Loika sings, for the loss of its home, property, and resources. Huinao
expresses, Loika, why do you sing, if your voice wavers? I sing for my tree, for the morsels of food,
for my land, For what was mine yesterday. I sing for the sorrow of losing these things... (Huinao,

The Woman In The Snow Short Story
No matter who we are, no matter how successful, no matter what our situation, compassion is
something we need to receive and give, author Catherine Pulsifer said. Patricia McKissack wanted to
show this theme in her short story, The Woman in the Snow by using her character, a black mother
named Eula Mae Daniels. In the beginning of the story, a racist bus driver spots her struggling through
the snow, holding her sick baby and begging him to give her a ride, even offering him her wedding
ring. He refuses and drives off without her because she does not have money to pay for the ride. As
the story progresses, she is found dead the next morning and begins to haunt the route, killing the bus
driver in a crash, continuing to haunt the route until all drivers refuse to take it. This theme begins to
develop when Ray Hammond, the first black metro driver, sees Eula Mae on the route and offers a
ride for free instead of denying her one, so she thanked him and gave him a smile before disappearing
into the swirling snow. Compassion is always important. The author was showing that when you show
compassion instead of hate to others, they will return love instead of anger. First, Grady, the bus
driver, showed hate and prejudice towards people of color. The text reads But Grady had his own
reason for hating the route. The Hall Street Express serviced black domestics who rode out to the
fashionable west end in the mornings and back down to the lower east side in the evenings. This

The Impact of Social Media on Organizations
Research Paper
The Impact of Social Media on Organizations For a long time, businesses have relied on word of
mouth, fliers, and street hawkers to draw attention from consumers. As of today, social media has
impacted businesses for over a decade. Although there are many social media sites, such as Facebook,
Twitter, and YouTube, a website focused solely on one s business would likely be the most effective in
promoting a product or company. The impact of social media has changed the way businesses and
organizations gain consumers and followers.
Before social media, many businesses would advertise through radio, magazines, and newspapers.
Headlines, illustrations, and advertising were the new devices that Benjamin Franklin s Pennsylvania
Gazette used, along with the normal editorial material. From 1880 to 1920, total advertising rates in
the United States grew by over $200 billion (American Advertising). Finding more ways to build up a
following was key for businesses to thrive. During the 1950 s, television became the cornerstone in
advertising (History: 1950s).
Despite this, traditional methods of marketing (print, tv, radio, etc.), although not irrelevant, are no
longer enough (Demoss). Social media has the same advantages as television advertisements, along
with its mobility. A television advertisement is a great way to promote a business or product because
the consumers can see the credibility

Essay on The Handicapper General
It is the year 2081. Because of Amendments 211, 212, and 213 to the Constitution, every American is
fully equal, meaning that no one is stupider, uglier, weaker, or slower than anyone else. The
Handicapper General and a team of agents ensure that the laws of equality are enforced.
One April, fourteen year old Harrison Bergeron is taken away from his parents, George and Hazel, by
the government. George and Hazel aren t fully aware of the tragedy. Hazel s lack of awareness is due
to average intelligence. In 2081, those who possess average intelligence are unable to think for

weight anymore. Hazel suggests taking a few of the weights out of the bag, but he says if everyone
broke the law, society would return to its old competitive ways. Hazel says she would hate that. A
noise interrupts the conversation, and George can t remember what they were talking about.
On TV, an announcer with a speech impediment attempts to read a bulletin. He can t overcome his
impediment, so he hands the bulletin to a ballerina to read. Hazel commends him for working with his

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury Analysis
The injury I chose to write about in this week s forum is anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) sprain. You
will commonly see an ACL sprain in athletes associated with contact sports that require them come to
an abrupt stop and pivot.
The knee joint is a hinge joint that connects the femur to tibia. The anterior muscles of the quadriceps
and the posterior muscles of the hamstrings help stabilize the knee joint (Prentice Bobo Benson,
2014). The ACL consists of long rope like bands that fasten bones together to keep the knee stable.
The ACL is one of four ligaments that stabilize the knee, and it is one of the most injured ligament in
the knee. The medial and collateral ligaments run along the outside of the knee and prevent the knee
from shifting side to side, and the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are located inside the knee
and prevent the knee from shifting forward and backward (Prentice Bobo Benson, 2014). All these
muscles and ligaments work together to keep our knee stabilized ... Show more content on

The ACL runs through the narrow femoral notch as it attaches the femur and tibia. The femoral notch
is the space in the knee created by the femoral condyles (Prentice Bobo Benson, 2014). The femoral
condyles make contact with the tibial plateau of the knee. The narrow femoral notch will decrease
with every step through normal daily activities. When the leg is hyperextended while simultaneously
pivoting space is lost and the ACL gets pinched between bones (Prentice Bobo Benson, 2014).
Depending on the amount of space in the narrow femoral notch and how much forced placed on the
ACL will depend on the severity of the injury (Prentice Bobo Benson, 2014). ACL injuries fall in to
one of three categories. Depending on the grade of the sprain depends on what type of treatment is
needed, and how long it takes the injury to heal. Knee sprains can last up to12 months to

industry, the destruction of the tyranny known as the Nazi Empire, and are the center piece for
businesses today. The inner cities had a reduction in employment during the 2008 financial crisis,
leaving the cities and their inhabitants in shambles. This not only affected jobs and parents, but the
children as well. This was unfortunate because the cities that built America were now spilt into two
parts. One part became an area of bustling traffic and lively people, the other underprivileged
individuals with no source of income due to financial collapse of their places of employment. Inner
city children face an abundant number of obstacles in their lives being raised in these low income
areas. These areas have become poverty stricken and are being ignored by the government. Without
assistance, whether from the state or the federal level of government, certain factors of their lives are
being neglected. Some of the factors that are detrimental to the children are the inadequate educational
programs, lack of attendance at school, and parent involvement, lack of availability of nutritional
produce and a higher rate of exposure to crime.
The children in inner cities are demonstrating issues with attendance this is detrimental to success
because missing days directly impacts

The Dynamics of Identity and Insanity in The Accidental...
In the plays The Accidental Death of an Anarchist written by Dario Fo, and The Government Inspector
, written by Nikolai Gogol, ‘identity and ‘insanity play vital roles. The Maniac, who is the
protagonist of The Accidental Death of An Anarchist , is seen changing his identity throughout the
play, pretending to be various other people. Khlestakov, the protagonist of The Government Inspector
lands in the position of being an inspector by chance, and throughout the play he thoroughly exploits
this opportunity by making the most of this particular identity. It is this characteristic of both
protagonists that drives the audience to a point where they may start doubting the sanity of these two
characters. These two ‘ingredients of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is lured into this false identity by his greed. Even when he is pretending to be the government
inspector he is still being greedy. Be careful what you pretend to be because you are what you pretend
to be Kurt Vonnegut. It can be observed that the Maniac as well as Khlestakov are both paradigms of
basic human traits such as greed and curiosity leading to false identity. Nikolai Gogol, like Fo had a
hidden motive behind the changing identity of Khlestakov. He has created the character of Khlestakov
to fulfill the purpose of exposing the corrupt nature of local administration. As, the officials thought he
was the government inspector they tried to bribe him and the audience was made aware of their
deceitful nature. He has chosen to give Khlestakov the false identity of a government inspector so that
he can unravel the truth, which was the obvious motive of Dario Fo as well. Maniac: Yes, if I were a
sane person. But I am mad. I have a certificate. This dialogue is met with great laughter from the
audience. Fo has created the insane character of the Maniac to add to the humour of the play. He talks
to himself as well as non living objects around him. His dialogues are blunt and clearly reflect his
insanity. At some point his multiple identities is what leads the audience to think he is insane.
However, there is a thin line between insanity and wisdom. Some might perceive the Maniac to be
crazy and bizarre to be fond of changing his

Essay on Embracing Defeat by John Dower
Embracing Defeat by John Dower
John Dower s Embracing Defeat truly conveys the Japanese experience of American occupation from
within by focusing on the social, cultural, and philosophical aspects of a country devastated by World
War II. His capturing of the Japanese peoples voice let us, as readers, empathize with those who had to
start over in a new nation. The initial terms of surrender were laid out in the Potsdam Declaration of
July 26, 1945, in which the United States, Great Britain, and China all participated. But unlike post
World War II Germany, which was split into four quadrants among the Allies, the occupation of Japan
was solely and American endeavor. This document was by no means tame. Military occupation ...

Purges of militaristic, high ranking officials occurred, as was the ban on restriction of assembly and
speech. Yet, while political change happened with lightning like swiftness, social change was much
slower.
Upon arriving to the mainland of Japan, many of the American occupation were stunned at the utter
devastation that the Japanese had endured. It was a testament to both the bravery and spirit of their
armies, as well as the foolishness of their leaders, that they were able to endure the war as long as they
had. Having put most of their economic resources to the war movement, much of the civilian
population was left in near famine. With the armies throughout the Pacific being repatriated on a daily
basis (although many wouldn t return for year) the conditions became even worse. Despair and hunger
set into the populace that was described as the kyodatsu condition. With their colonies in Asia no
longer in direct control, much of their food supply imports were cut off. Japan had relied heavily upon
the importation of rice, sugar, and salt, but access was now severely restricted. To make matters worse,
the United States decided to take a hands off approach to rebuild the economy, a natural decision to
punish a nation that caused so much devastation to others. Malnutrition was a leading cause of
preventable death in many major cities, and the rapid rise of

Case Study Of Google s Approach To New Challenges
I have known Michelle since 2008, during which time we have collaborated on a variety of projects
related to the oil and natural gas sector in Trinidad and Tobago, Nigeria and Ghana. An early initiative
typifies the nature of Michelle s approach to new challenges, which approach flowed through the
various interventions we had with a range of government and civil society stakeholders in developing
countries. Michelle has been able to participate in the work of ACES as a resource person because of
her ability to aggregate and extract the benefit of a mix of eclectic skills, curiosity and adventurism.
As advisors to governments in oil and gas producing states, many new to the sector, we seek to link
activities involved in the business and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These produced an ideal competency mix for the work we do.
In our initial engagement, we were seeking ways to assist the implementation of national local content
policies for the petroleum sector by designing and building toolkits for regulators and operators. As
the regulators and local suppliers were seeking to participate in a nascent sector in most of the
countries in which we were working, the toolkit also included training modules, so requiring a
technical and non technical approach, linking multiple facets of governance from policy to strategy,
procurement and measurement and evaluation. Michelle served as my interface with the team of
software developers while I was on the road, requiring her to make decisions on design and content
criteria.
She is more advanced than her peers, with many of whom I have interacted throughout my 38 years in
the oil and gas and related industries. She is a self starter, who identifies and pursues new ventures in
an underserved market. She has proper knowledge of how to build networks and maintain
relationships while converting her knowledge into successful ventures through her discipline, attitude
and sheer persistence.
Two things separate her from many of her generation: first is that she doesn t simply regurgitate what
was taught in school, rather, she is thoughtful in how she analyses the situation and applies her
knowledge.

Chapter I
Chapter I:
The Beginning Our story starts in a slightly dilapidated looking house, where a toddler s second
birthday is being celebrated
I think I know a little someone who wants some cake... cooed Jack s mom
Jack laughed cutely
Here comes the train, through the tunnel.
Choo Choo!
Knocking can be heard in the background
What s that noise? Jack stay right here, I ll be... right back. warned Jack s mom
What are you doing here, I told you never to come back. shouted Jack s mom from down the hall
I wanted to see Jack. I wanted to give him this. said Jack s dad
No! You can t see him, you re a bad influence!
You re a bad influence, I bet you didn t even remember today was his birthday.
Jack s mom went to her pistol,
A gunshot can be heard in the background.
Give... Jack... this croaked Jack s dad in his last moments as he gave Jack s mom a present.
Jack s mom came back down the hall
Look what I found! She exclaimed
Let s go to your bedroom and find out what it is!
Jack s mom carried Jack to his nursery
Oooo, look it s a teddy bear. I ll leave you in your crib with your present, and you can play for a little
while.
The box was shaking and noises could be heard from inside the box.
Jack, please tip the box. grunted the box
Why? asked Jack
Because I need to get out of here
Who are you?
Ermm... Just please tip the box
You sound like daddy.

Quest For The Holy Grail
Lancelot, Galahad and their
Quest for the Holy Grail
In the Arthurian Legend, Sir Lancelot is viewed as the powerful and skilled White Knight , however,
he is also considered as the Sinful Adulterer for his disobeyment to the knights code of chivalry.
Despite his innocence, these corrupt sins led to his unsuccessful quest for the Holy Grail. Instead,
Galahad, the illegitimate son of Sir Lancelot, is destined to achieve the Holy Grail, his devotional
purity making him a greater warrior than even his prominent father.
For one thing, Sir Lancelot du Lac is viewed to be the greatest and worst knight of king Arthur s
Round Table. Firstly, Lancelot is widely known to be the greatest swordsman of the Round Table.
Legend tells that as a child, Lancelot is left by the lake, where he is found by Vivian, the Lady of the
Lake. She raises and fosters him, and in time Lancelot became one of legend s most powerful knights.
Additionally, he never failed in gentleness, courtesy, or in courage. He is said to be the bravest and
most pure of heart and is always willing to help others, saving a tremendous amount of people during
his lifetime. Nonetheless, Lancelot is also conflicted as the ill made knight who commits the horrible
sin of adultery. Queen Guinevere, King Arthur s wife, and Lancelot fall deeply in love and have an
affair that is eventually revealed by Mordred. Lancelot betrays the trust of Arthur and goes against his
vows as a knight. Because of this sin, Lancelot feels

The Epistemological Tradition That Best Fits My Own...
Throughout my journey I am discovering the epistemological tradition that best fits my own
perspective. There are many ways in which a person learns; learning can be defined as a change in
behavior due to past experiences. As well, there are different approaches to learning such as;
behaviorism, cognitivism, connectivism and constructivism. Many aspects of my life have formed my
epistemological assumptions such as family, friends, community, education and my own experiences.
Epistemology is defined as the theory of knowledge, with respect to its methods, validity, and scope; it
is the inquiry of what discerns acceptable belief from opinion (Bates, 2015, section 2.2.1, para 1). I
feel that I connect best with experiential cognitivism since I prefer to experience information before
internalizing and relating it with what I know to be true. I will draw upon my past experiences to
illustrate my position as I have come to understand myself as an experiential cognitivist, which
situates within the epistemology of pragmatism. Pragmatism is defined as a practical approach to
problems or matters. As William James states in his book Pragmatism, A New Name for Some Old
Ways of Thinking He (pragmatism) turns towards concreteness and adequacy, towards facts, towards
action, and towards power (para 12, Lecture II What Pragmatism Means).
Learning as an experiential cognitivist
As an experiential cognitivist I delineate the process of learning through experience, and learning

  • 5. The Protests Of The Syrian Uprising Essay Security forces opened fire, killing at least four protesters and within days, the protests grew into rallies that gathered thousands of people. The killings of these four were ultimately regarded by many as the first deaths of the Syrian uprising. The community s blunt outrage over the children s arrests and mistreatment, the government s humiliating and violent reactions to their worries and the people s refusal to be cowed by security forces embolden and helped spread the Syrian opposition. This notion demonstrates that the killing of the four protestors was only the first of many deaths to occur continuing into an on going war that has: ...triggered nationwide protests demanding President Assad s resignation. Because of this, the Syrian government decided that in order to handle the issue they must crush this nationwide dissent. This in return only allowed the protestors to push harder for a change within the country of Syria, in hopes of it becoming the wonderful country that it was in the years prior to the war. Syria s conflict has devolved from peaceful protests against the government in 2011 to a violent insurgency that has drawn in numerous other countries. After the Second World War, the great nation of Yugoslavia was formed by countries considered similar but extremely diverse in contexts of religion, culture and ideals. From this, the Yugoslav war had been triggered impacting the peace amongst the nations which once resided together and causing destruction, which had, and still does, cause problems for and amongst the nations and people involved. However, even though man has done so before, it does not necessarily man should continue to do what can be done by the technological advantages of this age; robots. Having the ability to send exclusively robotic missions into space provides many advantages that a human accompanied mission could not also have claim to, one obvious variation being in the safety of a robotic mission versus a manned mission. Humans are fragile when it comes to being put into environments other than their own (Colwell Britt, n.d.) and there are a lot of physical health setbacks. When in zero g in space, human bodies face many changes such as a sudden height increase, and even face a weakening of the bones that can later lead to bones breaking much easier from even small accidents ( Manned or Unmanned? , 2001). Humans also face the risk of being exposed to radiation when there is no atmosphere surrounding them to protect them ( Manned or Unmanned? , 2001) and the temperatures of different planets and elements of space make it nearly impossible for a human to be able to travel to certain places (Colwell Britt, n.d). • 14. Similarities Between Samurai And Knights In about 1000 to 1600 CE in history two warriors were made with a different name and in two different countries. More than a thousand years ago, a class of professional warriors arose, who swore oaths of loyalty to noble lords and fought to the death to defend them in battle (Overview). The two warriors were samurai and knights. Samurais were fighting for Japan in the class of military retainers of the daiyomes while across the seas the knights were fighting on horseback in Europe. To keep order in the land both regions developed a system that historians called federalism. There were more differences than similarities and here are some reasons why the differences were greater than the similarities. The first reason why the differences are greater than the similarities is because of the social order in feudal Japan and Europe. Historians and other scholars use social pyramids to show how societies were structured (Document A). The samurai owned loyalty and military service to daimyo s for land or regular payment while on the other hand knights owned loyalty and military service to the lords. Another difference about samurais and knights was the population. Samurai with families took about 10% of Japan s population and in Europe, there was estimated 12,000 knights in England and Normany France in the 12th century. One more difference is that there are four people above the knight in the social order but only three for samurai. The second reason why the differences ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Woman In The Snow Short Story No matter who we are, no matter how successful, no matter what our situation, compassion is something we need to receive and give, author Catherine Pulsifer said. Patricia McKissack wanted to show this theme in her short story, The Woman in the Snow by using her character, a black mother named Eula Mae Daniels. In the beginning of the story, a racist bus driver spots her struggling through the snow, holding her sick baby and begging him to give her a ride, even offering him her wedding ring. He refuses and drives off without her because she does not have money to pay for the ride. As the story progresses, she is found dead the next morning and begins to haunt the route, killing the bus driver in a crash, continuing to haunt the route until all drivers refuse to take it. This theme begins to develop when Ray Hammond, the first black metro driver, sees Eula Mae on the route and offers a ride for free instead of denying her one, so she thanked him and gave him a smile before disappearing into the swirling snow. Compassion is always important. The author was showing that when you show compassion instead of hate to others, they will return love instead of anger. First, Grady, the bus driver, showed hate and prejudice towards people of color. The text reads But Grady had his own reason for hating the route. The Impact Of Social Media On Organizations Raegan Yarbrough Mr. Cofran The Impact of Social Media on Organizations Research Paper The Impact of Social Media on Organizations For a long time, businesses have relied on word of mouth, fliers, and street hawkers to draw attention from consumers. As of today, social media has impacted businesses for over a decade. Although there are many social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, a website focused solely on one s business would likely be the most effective in promoting a product or company. The impact of social media has changed the way businesses and organizations gain consumers and followers. Before social media, many businesses would advertise through radio, magazines, and newspapers. Headlines, illustrations, and advertising were the new devices that Benjamin Franklin s Pennsylvania Gazette used, along with the normal editorial material. From 1880 to 1920, total advertising rates in the United States grew by over $200 billion (American Advertising). Finding more ways to build up a following was key for businesses to thrive. During the 1950 s, television became the cornerstone in advertising (History: 1950s). Despite this, traditional methods of marketing (print, tv, radio, etc.), although not irrelevant, are no longer enough (Demoss). Social media has the same advantages as television advertisements, along with its mobility. • 21. Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury Analysis The injury I chose to write about in this week s forum is anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) sprain. You will commonly see an ACL sprain in athletes associated with contact sports that require them come to an abrupt stop and pivot. The knee joint is a hinge joint that connects the femur to tibia. The anterior muscles of the quadriceps and the posterior muscles of the hamstrings help stabilize the knee joint (Prentice Bobo Benson, 2014). The ACL consists of long rope like bands that fasten bones together to keep the knee stable. The ACL is one of four ligaments that stabilize the knee, and it is one of the most injured ligament in the knee. The medial and collateral ligaments run along the outside of the knee and prevent the knee from shifting side to side, and the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are located inside the knee and prevent the knee from shifting forward and backward (Prentice Bobo Benson, 2014). The inner cities had a reduction in employment during the 2008 financial crisis, leaving the cities and their inhabitants in shambles. This not only affected jobs and parents, but the children as well. This was unfortunate because the cities that built America were now spilt into two parts. One part became an area of bustling traffic and lively people, the other underprivileged individuals with no source of income due to financial collapse of their places of employment. Inner city children face an abundant number of obstacles in their lives being raised in these low income areas. These areas have become poverty stricken and are being ignored by the government. • 28. Essay on Embracing Defeat by John Dower Embracing Defeat by John Dower John Dower s Embracing Defeat truly conveys the Japanese experience of American occupation from within by focusing on the social, cultural, and philosophical aspects of a country devastated by World War II. His capturing of the Japanese peoples voice let us, as readers, empathize with those who had to start over in a new nation. The initial terms of surrender were laid out in the Potsdam Declaration of July 26, 1945, in which the United States, Great Britain, and China all participated. But unlike post World War II Germany, which was split into four quadrants among the Allies, the occupation of Japan was solely and American endeavor. This document was by no means tame. Military occupation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Purges of militaristic, high ranking officials occurred, as was the ban on restriction of assembly and speech. Yet, while political change happened with lightning like swiftness, social change was much slower. Upon arriving to the mainland of Japan, many of the American occupation were stunned at the utter devastation that the Japanese had endured. It was a testament to both the bravery and spirit of their armies, as well as the foolishness of their leaders, that they were able to endure the war as long as they had. Having put most of their economic resources to the war movement, much of the civilian population was left in near famine. With the armies throughout the Pacific being repatriated on a daily basis (although many wouldn t return for year) the conditions became even worse. Despair and hunger set into the populace that was described as the kyodatsu condition. With their colonies in Asia no longer in direct control, much of their food supply imports were cut off. Japan had relied heavily upon the importation of rice, sugar, and salt, but access was now severely restricted. To make matters worse, the United States decided to take a hands off approach to rebuild the economy, a natural decision to punish a nation that caused so much devastation to others. Malnutrition was a leading cause of preventable death in many major cities, and the rapid rise of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Case Study Of Google s Approach To New Challenges I have known Michelle since 2008, during which time we have collaborated on a variety of projects related to the oil and natural gas sector in Trinidad and Tobago, Nigeria and Ghana. An early initiative typifies the nature of Michelle s approach to new challenges, which approach flowed through the various interventions we had with a range of government and civil society stakeholders in developing countries. Michelle has been able to participate in the work of ACES as a resource person because of her ability to aggregate and extract the benefit of a mix of eclectic skills, curiosity and adventurism. As advisors to governments in oil and gas producing states, many new to the sector, we seek to link activities involved in the business and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These produced an ideal competency mix for the work we do. In our initial engagement, we were seeking ways to assist the implementation of national local content policies for the petroleum sector by designing and building toolkits for regulators and operators. As the regulators and local suppliers were seeking to participate in a nascent sector in most of the countries in which we were working, the toolkit also included training modules, so requiring a technical and non technical approach, linking multiple facets of governance from policy to strategy, procurement and measurement and evaluation. Michelle served as my interface with the team of software developers while I was on the road, requiring her to make decisions on design and content criteria. She is more advanced than her peers, with many of whom I have interacted throughout my 38 years in the oil and gas and related industries. She is a self starter, who identifies and pursues new ventures in an underserved market. She has proper knowledge of how to build networks and maintain relationships while converting her knowledge into successful ventures through her discipline, attitude and sheer persistence. Two things separate her from many of her generation: first is that she doesn t simply regurgitate what was taught in school, rather, she is thoughtful in how she analyses the situation and applies her knowledge. ... • 31. Quest For The Holy Grail Lancelot, Galahad and their Quest for the Holy Grail In the Arthurian Legend, Sir Lancelot is viewed as the powerful and skilled White Knight , however, he is also considered as the Sinful Adulterer for his disobeyment to the knights code of chivalry. Despite his innocence, these corrupt sins led to his unsuccessful quest for the Holy Grail. Instead, Galahad, the illegitimate son of Sir Lancelot, is destined to achieve the Holy Grail, his devotional purity making him a greater warrior than even his prominent father. For one thing, Sir Lancelot du Lac is viewed to be the greatest and worst knight of king Arthur s Round Table. Firstly, Lancelot is widely known to be the greatest swordsman of the Round Table. Legend tells that as a child, Lancelot is left by the lake, where he is found by Vivian, the Lady of the Lake. She raises and fosters him, and in time Lancelot became one of legend s most powerful knights. Additionally, he never failed in gentleness, courtesy, or in courage. He is said to be the bravest and most pure of heart and is always willing to help others, saving a tremendous amount of people during his lifetime. Nonetheless, Lancelot is also conflicted as the ill made knight who commits the horrible sin of adultery. Queen Guinevere, King Arthur s wife, and Lancelot fall deeply in love and have an affair that is eventually revealed by Mordred. Lancelot betrays the trust of Arthur and goes against his vows as a knight. Because of this sin, Lancelot feels ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Epistemological Tradition That Best Fits My Own... Throughout my journey I am discovering the epistemological tradition that best fits my own perspective. There are many ways in which a person learns; learning can be defined as a change in behavior due to past experiences. As well, there are different approaches to learning such as; behaviorism, cognitivism, connectivism and constructivism. Many aspects of my life have formed my epistemological assumptions such as family, friends, community, education and my own experiences. Epistemology is defined as the theory of knowledge, with respect to its methods, validity, and scope; it is the inquiry of what discerns acceptable belief from opinion (Bates, 2015, section 2.2.1, para 1). I feel that I connect best with experiential cognitivism since I prefer to experience information before internalizing and relating it with what I know to be true. I will draw upon my past experiences to illustrate my position as I have come to understand myself as an experiential cognitivist, which situates within the epistemology of pragmatism. Pragmatism is defined as a practical approach to problems or matters. As William James states in his book Pragmatism, A New Name for Some Old Ways of Thinking He (pragmatism) turns towards concreteness and adequacy, towards facts, towards action, and towards power (para 12, Lecture II What Pragmatism Means). Learning as an experiential cognitivist As an experiential cognitivist I delineate the process of learning through experience, and learning through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
