Explain How A Business User Could Be Involved In The Core...
Close involvement of a business user from the beginning of information systems development has the
potential to produce a better outcome for both the organization and the developer. In this essay I will
explain how a business user could be involved in the core activities of building an information system.
Additionally, I will analyze how software development methodologies can work in tandem with
project management for the benefit of both information systems development projects and the
organization. Finally, I will evaluate how project managers and IT managers can ensure that
information system development projects are in alignment with business strategies and goals.
Business User Involved in Core Activities There are six core ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

By being a part of this phase the business user can provide inputs that in the end will make the system
an overall better product and more user friendly to those who will actually be required to operate the
system (Grevendok, 2013). The third phase of the system development process is the programming
phase. During this stage system specifications that were prepared during the design stage are
translated into software program code (Laudon, Laudon, 2016). The business user plays a vital role in
this stage because it is in this stage that the software will be either developed or purchased from an
outside vendor (Hsu, Lin, Zheng Hung, 2011). Ensuring that the software aligns with the new
requirements is vital to the long term success of the information system.
The fourth stage of the system development process is the testing phase. During this phase exhaustive
and complete testing must be accomplished to ensure that the new system produces the expected
results (Laudon, Laudon, 2016). The business user s involvement in this process can be utilized by
trying to make the new system fail in order to fix any major or minor problem that may arise down the
road (Laudon, Laudon, 2016).
The fifth stage of the system development process is the conversion phase. It is during this phase
where the process of changing from the old system to the new system happens (Laudon,

Representatives from the commission must also attend the meetings to join in with the discussion
because they were the ones who wanted to introduce the law. Once an agreement has been reached,
the agreed text is then sent to the council as well as the parliament for a final reading so that the law
can finally be adopted.
Consultation Under the decision making procedure the commission gives its proposal to the
parliament and council, just like the co decision procedure, but in this case it is the council that must
take responsibility for consulting with parliament as well as other EU bodies. In all cases, parliament
can:
Approve the proposal made by the commission
Reject the proposal
They can also ask for amendments to be made
Assent This is the method of making decisions in which the council must obtain the European
parliaments agreement before decisions are made. This procedure is exactly the same as the
consultation procedure, apart from the fact that the parliament cannot amend the proposal: It must
either be accepted or rejected.

These are some of the EU s decisions which affect the UK s public services:
Single currency In 1999 the European Union introduced a single currency. This is called the euro. The

The Story of Russian Princess Anastasia Romanov
Almost everyone knows the story of Russian Princess Anastasia Romanov, but not everyone knows
about her father, Tsar Nicholas II, and his role in his family s banishment and death. The last Tsar of
Russia was forced to abdicate his throne by the Russian people who wanted change, like how he is
allegorized by Mr. Jones in George Orwell s Animal Farm. Tsar Nicholas II is the eldest of the six
children that Tsar Alexander III and Maria Feodorovna. The Tsar was born on May 18, 1868, in
Pushkin, Russia, also known as the Tsarskoe Selo palace just south of St. Petersburg. His full name is
Nikolai Aleksandrovich Romanov. The Tsar s education was religion based and guided by his father,
at home. He excelled in history and foreign language, but not in economics and politics. His father
never really guided him on the affairs of the state. His education was from handpicked tutors, like
Konstantin Pobedonostsev. Konstantin Pobedonostsev lived for eighty years, being born in 1827. He
had been a professor of Russian literature at the University of Moscow, and was distinguished by his
organization skills, learning procedure. Alexander II had asked Pobedonostsev to tutor his sons. When
Alexander II was assassinated, Pobedonostsev convinced Alexander III to reject the Loris Melikov
Constitution, which would have closed gaps between the government and society. Over the course of
his life, Pobedonostsev had been advisor to Alexander III and Nicholas II. Nicholas II had inherited

Rav Kook Essay
Rav Kook was an innovator and several generations ahead of the traditional orthodoxy. He did not
limit himself to Torah and Halacha, but his interest went beyond the limits of Jewish law. Kook was
versed with secular literature and philosophy, he was one of the founders of the Hebrew university and
his inaugural speech he tried to unify zion and Torah which in my option is a problematic marriage.
He was revolutionary in apply Jewish law relating secular laws in (Kashrut). This rejuvenation of
Jewish result law resulted in much resistance by orthodox jews. As a result of this there was tension

Rav Kook s revolutionary approach was to open up the constructs of Halacha to allow for a broader
roll for religious jews. Until that time Halacha god was only understood through the prism of Halacha,
it was Rav Kook that enlarged the boundaries of Halacha to include Zionism. That is why Rav Kook
had a picture of Herzl hung in his office and considered him as a modern Moses, even though Herzl
was a secular jew that had Christmas trees in his home. Rav Kook s revolutionary approach to the
Halacha was not to look at the religion soley from the perspective of that man is passive and only god
is active. By creating the bridge between Zionism to religion, he merited religious jews the freedom to
act and engage in history and not waiting for god to act. He was instrumental in allowing religious
Zionism to become active participants in their own destiny, as he stated The people of Israel are not a
nation in the normal sense of the term, but rather the essence of the human ideal. They exist as a
society on all its meaning and are called a nation by way of description because all societies of man
are called by such a name. (World Mizrachi, Iggrot Ha Rayah Part II: Responsa

Specific Aims A recent public health concern has implicated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastics,
commonly used in recyclable plastic water bottles, as a common source of carcinogenic
xenoestrogens. Xenoestrogens act as hormone disruptors, and can alter the natural homeostasis of the
human body. Exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals has been known to cause cancer, sexual
dysfunction, and problems during puberty. Better understanding exposure to these chemicals will help
improve awareness of the issue and hopefully prevent some exposures. An experiment has been
devised to study the quantity of xenoestrogens present in two common types of water bottles, BPA

Welfare Policy Analysis
The welfare policy is one mirrored by ideology and negativity, with few satisfied with its current
status. The conservatives think of it as some kind of culture of poverty, personal choice (Furlong,
2013, p. 328) that is riddled with fraud and waste. While the liberals, site welfare as a state of unequal
opportunities caused by unfair economics or less than ideal social conditions beyond their control
(Furlong, 2013, p. 328). The conservative see the failures and the liberals see the need to expand on
possibly successes. Both sides share the necessity of reform equivalently. However, coming from
these extreme perspectives the solutions remained far apart. The cost of welfare is extremely high and
effects a great portion of the population. The measure effectiveness, efficiency and equity will be hard
to measure and give flexibility to both side to find a plausible argument to meet their point of view.

Some past reforms showed some promise and can be adjusted to today. For example, President
Clinton s Personal Responsibility Work Opportunities Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA),
contained limitations and work requirements (Furlong, 2013, p. 345) and some success. Building on
this, enforcement of the policy and allowing partial welfare, as the work income level adjusted to a set
threshold (Dorgan, 2003) would gain further success. If the job was less than the benefits, it only
enhances the stagnation because it is beneficial to not work at some points. Improving daycare
availability and addressing societal causes would greatly decrease the dependency of welfare (Dorgan,
2003). Properly funding these reforms would be a key to the success of reforming welfare. Robert
Scheer claimed in Nation that, the Jobs Opportunities Basic Skills (JOBS) training program was
initially successful but never properly funded to achieve the original goal (Scheer,

Infective Endocarditis
Infective endocarditis is the inflammation of the damaged parts of the heart due to an infection usually
from elsewhere in the body. In this disease the endocardium (the inner lining of the heart) is inflamed
and can lead to damaged heart valves and to other life threatening complications. William Osler was
the first one to recognize this disease and gave a name to it in 1885 in his Gulstonian lectures.
When a patient s heart has a defect or a part that is not as strong as the rest then that part is susceptible
to infective endocarditis. This tends to come from blood flowing from a higher pressure area in the
heart to a lower pressured area. This causes an indention in the heart s endocardium that collects
deposits. When patients have bacteremia, the presence of infectious bacteria in the blood, the bacteria
often fall into these indentions and start to collect. Once they have started to collect they will multiply
and are called vegetation.
Once vegetation happens there is an increased risk of having an abnormal alignment in the valve that
the vegetation is around. This can cause a decreased blood flow or even a blocked valve. This may
cause emboli to escape from the heart and head to other sections of the body (i.e. the lungs or the
brain) depending which valve is being effected. Different ways that the bacteria can get in the blood
are: dental procedures, skin rashes, infections, abscesses, invasive procedures, and surgeries.
The nursing process should be

Satire In Young Goodman Brown
Nathaniel Hawthorne s experience with evil was with his uncle. His uncle was part of the Salem witch

Texting And Driving Is A Good Thing Essay
We have all seen them, the people that come barreling down the road not knowing what s happening
because they are too busy looking at their phone. Texting and driving is one of the most daring things
people can do on the road now a days. It is a tragic practice in the United States that needs to be
stopped. It s taking many lives of peoples family and friends around the United States today. This
phenomenon of texting and driving exists and it isn t a good thing. Although many people would agree
that texting and driving isn t a safe act many still do it. Most people feel discluded from the texting
while driving danger and believe that they are safe drivers while texting. In a survey done by National

leaves you not paying attention to the main task at hand, yet it is becoming more and more prevalent

The overall theme of Their Eyes Were Watching God, a journey, was desolated by Oprah Winfrey who

through life to find love and not a journey of Janie going through her life and experiencing various

misconceived the theme when reading and portrayed the theme of her movie to encase love and Janie
s progress for love. Oprah s rendition of Their Eyes Were Watching God reduces the novel s
complexities of race, gender, and history to pretty costumes, lush backgrounds, and sexy bodies
(Ceptus). The change in theme creates an overall change in the movie, making it into a movie of love
and romance and takes the true meaning away from the story in the book. Oprah carelessly produced
this movie, distorting the theme, focusing it on Janie and her searching for love as opposed to her

How American History Is Constantly Challenged By African...
How Americans romanticize their history is constantly challenged by African American artist Kara
Walker. Her controversial work has broken huge boundaries of race, gender, power and violence. But
Walker s art never had the intention of pleasing viewers or answering easy questions. Winning the
John.D and Catherine T. Mac Arthur Foundations genius grant at only twenty seven years old, Walkers
art has taunted Americans to recognize the legacy that slavery has left behind.
A move to Atlanta, Georgia in Walkers adolescence exposed her to the southern bigotry that inspired
her art in later years. However, only when she had completed her Masters of Fine arts in Rhode Island,
did she introduce themes of race into her work. On the entry of her first major work in 1994, she says
that much of her art work was exploring ...the problematics of making art as a young black woman
when constantly barraged and faced with a bunch of stereotypes about what it even means... (MoMA,
Kara Walker). Kara Walkers art demonstrates that the racism seen a century ago is still present in
American society today. The stereotype used frequently is the negress or black mistress, often over
sexualised and portrayed as a sex toy. Walker believes Western culture has created this specific
representation of what it means to be black. Her work as a solo artist has been displayed in the San

6. A minimum credit score of 620 is needed to get an FHA insured loan MYTH
This is a pure misconception as the FHA is designed to help borrowers who have passed through a
legit economic hardship and can substantiate the claim. This means that loans are given to borrowers
that have a FICO score that is less than 620 and can afford the small down payments.
7. It is required that you get a Loan Officer to get an FHA insured loan FACT
Most loan officers cannot do business with the Federal Housing Administration. It is therefore
required that you find an accredited agency that is knowledgeable about the underwriting department
at the FHA. This makes the process easier and more effective as such agencies know how to go about
writing the almighty letter of economic hardship that justifies you getting the loan. The letter
determines whether you will be accepted or not as it needs to be written in a certain way.

The Importance Of Abstract Alphabet
Picture books can be very influential for younger readers as well as many others. Authors shapes,
colors, and context can create different types of emotions and feelings to be presented. These types of
books appeal to the younger reader because of these types of illustrations can cause the words of the
book come to life. This can be said for the book titled Abstract Alphabet. This book was written and
illustrated by former Caldecott Honor recipient Stephen T. Johnson. It is the perfect picture book for
teaching children the alphabet as well as providing unique and colorful pictures to represent them.
Each picture also provides a unique characteristic that can be appealing for the older reader and the
younger student. Abstract Alphabet is an effective children s picture book because of the color of the
illustrations, the uniqueness of the illustrations, and the text. To begin, the aspect that is of at most
importance in pictures books are clearly the type of illustrations. Effective illustrations set the tone for
the type of book that it will be. To not get misunderstood, the text is essential as well. However when
it comes to young readers, the pictures are what are going to the most impactful. In Abstract Alphabet,
each page provides a colorful visual of the lower and upper case version of each letter. The letters on
each page are also fairly large so it can be easily seen. This is important because this book for children

its mistakes during World War II as farmers again plowed up grassland to plant wheat when grain

Arch of titus Essay
The Arch provides one of the few contemporary depictions of Temple period artifacts.[6][7] The seven
branched menorah and trumpets are clearly depicted. It became a symbol of the Jewish diaspora. In a
later era, Pope Paul IV made it the place of a yearly oath of submission. Jews refuse to walk under it.
[citation needed] The menorah depicted on the Arch served as the model for the menorah used on the
emblem of the state of Israel.[citation needed]However, when the existence of modern State of Israel
was formally declared, the entire Roman Jewish community spontaneously gathered by the arch and in
joyful celebration, walked backwards under the arch to symbolize beginning of the long awaited
redemption from the Roman Exile.[8]

It was constructed in c. 82 AD by the Roman Emperor Domitian shortly after the death of his older
brother Titus to commemorate Titus victories, including the Siege of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
The Arch of Titus has provided the general model for many of the triumphal arches erected since the
16th century perhaps most famously it is the inspiration for the 1806 Arc de Triomphe in Paris,
France, completed in 1836.
The arch is large with both fluted and unfluted columns, the latter being a result of 19th century
restoration.[2] The spandrels on the upper left and right of the arch contain personifications of victory
as winged women. Between the spandrels is the keystone, on which there stands a female on the East
side and a male on the West side.[2]
Detail of the central soffit coffers
The soffit of the axial archway is deeply coffered with a relief of the apotheosis of Titus at the center.
The sculptural program also includes two panel reliefs lining the passageway within the arch. Both
commemorate the joint triumph celebrated by Titus and his father Vespasian in the summer of 71.
The south panel depicts the spoils taken from the Temple in Jerusalem. The Golden Candelabra or
Menorah is the main focus and is carved in deep relief. Other sacred objects being carried in the
triumphal procession are the Gold Trumpets and the Table of Shew

7 Habits Of Highly Effective Teens Book Report
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens written by Sean Covey, has made me a smarter, more

injury after his junior season. Although his football career was over, his academic career had only just

This topic is paradigm shifts. A synonym for a paradigm would be a perception, and for most
teenagers, the way you are perceived is a very important piece of the mental, and emotional aspect of
life. Asking yourself what is most important to you, and what you spend the most time thinking about,
can often reveal the paradigms of your life. Covey refers to paradigms as life centers, or things you
center your life around. Some of these life centers include friends, stuff, school, parents, sports, and
social media. I learned that heavily focusing on one of these life centers is not a healthy way to
perceive your life, and that equally focusing on all of them is a much more effective way to use
paradigms. Time management is another subject I feel Covey has really mastered. Covey puts all
people into four quadrants: slackers, procrastinators, the yes man, and the prioritizers. Being honest
with yourself and determining where you fall in these four categories is important. Once you have
decided where you are at, you decide where you want to be, and how you are going to get there.
Setting up a game plan is one of Covey s go to strategies for dealing with the problems of being a
teenager. A plan, with the end in mind, is a major key in becoming the best person you can be. Covey s
main point for readers, was to have a perfect balance of your

The Changing Role of Hr Management
The Changing Role of HR Management

Human Resources Management
The Changing Role of HR Management
For years, businesses relied on personnel departments for the management of their employees. The
primary concerns of the personnel departments included attendance records, benefits, and salary.
Therefore, the personnel departments did not consider the importance of contributions a company s
employees made to the business. These contributions included such things as diversity and intellectual
capital. As businesses began to expand globally, they began realizing the importance of their human
resources. Thus the concept of Human Resources (HR) management began to emerge as an outgrowth
of the personnel departments. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, and Wright (2007) more businesses in the United States are
beginning to realize they need to acknowledge and recognize the diversity of their employees and use
this diversity in ways that will allow them to gain advantages over their competition (Noe et al.,
2007).
Response to e Business
Individuals and organizations are beginning to recognize the importance of the Internet in conducting
business. As a result, e business is becoming more prevalent. The book defines electronic business or e
business as any process that a business conducts electronically, especially business involving use of
the Internet (Noe et al., 2007, p. 50). E business allows consumers to purchase items using the Internet
or conduct banking transactions, companies to conduct transactions with each other, and consumers to
conduct transactions among themselves such as auctions. Because of the increasing use of the Internet
to conduct business, HR managers find themselves faced with several challenges. These challenges
include ensuring the company is continually updating their employee requirements regarding such
things as ability and competence. HR managers must recruit and train people to meet those
requirements.
Response to Ethics
Businesses need to ensure the people they hire to work in and manage their HR departments behave
ethically. The definition of ethics is the fundamental principles of right and wrong (Noe et

The Mesopotamian Civilization
For 7000 years the sweltering sand of the Iraqi desert has held remnants of one the earliest known
civilization, the Mesopotamians. Since then, literary historians and scholars have uncovered myths
revealing an unforeseen buried past. These hallowed accounts have become the center focus of
explaining the early history of the Mesopotamian civilization, and the natural phenomenon s that have
existed. In particular, the Babylonian epic of creation, Enuma Elish, which served the purpose of
explaining the genesis of the universe and how people first came to inhabit it, reveals a parallelism
with the Greek s Theogony. The conquest of Mesopotamia by the Greeks in the year 331 126 BC can
be theorized as one of the potentiality for the Mesopotamian influence on the Greek s Theogony. The
influence of the Mesopotamian tradition is seen in the Greek s account of the creation myth through
parallel concepts. Although Enuma Elish and Theogony have a unique account of how the world
began, and how people first came to inhabit it, they are both analogous in the sense that these creation
myths are based on the foundation of: a successive motif whereby the newer gods overthrow the older,
the rise of an ambitious hero, and an imperfect creation.
In Theogony, and analogous to Enuma Elish, there exists a sequential motif whereby the newer gods
overthrow the older.
The rise of the hero Marduk became one of the most important conceptions in explaining the creation

Keeping The Driving Age Essay
Driving is a daily activity to those of age and to some, it is a basic necessity to their lives. When
turning 16 years old is when most people begin driving, but keeping the driving age at 16 causes
accidents and deaths, rather than raising the driving age and making the road a safer place. If a parent
had a choice between their child dying or having an inconvenience of driving them around, hopefully,
they would choose having an inconvenience. Imagine a teen is driving with other underage teens in
the car 20 to 30 miles per hour over the speed limit.
Teenage brain development is at a vulnerable state and is not fully developed causing poor judgment
and bad decisions. New findings from brain researchers at the National Institutes of Health explain
that the part of the teenage brain called the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is the part that weighs risks,
makes judgments, and controls impulsive behavior (Davis). This part of the brain causes the reckless
teen driver s actions and accidents. The National Institutes of Health have analyzed 4,000 brain scans

Networks should be banned, especially for children. Social Media destroys the basic human ability to
interact with others. This is supported by the quote, Communication is constantly evolving. Some

Future generations, this one included, will only spend more and more time on sites like these. Some
people would say that Social Media helps catch and prosecute criminals, but the few times in which
this does happen is heavily outweighed by the amount of privacy of which they lack, and the fact that
they often expose users to government and corporate intrusions. A 2012 survey found that 13 million
Facebook users said that they had not set or known about the site s privacy settings, and another 28%
shared all, or nearly all, of their posts publicly. Facebook is infamous for its lack of security, how it
forces users to stay on and use their site and secretly tracks them. They often make privacy settings
hard to find. Most, if not all, of their users would rather keep their info private, but Facebook and
other Social Networking sites often make that a hard thing to do. Another report declared that the US
Justice Department intercepted 1,661 pieces of information from social networking sites and emails in
2011. With many social media sites being money focused, they often sell their user s information to
shady organizations. These sites expose their users too much and too often. This is further supported
by the fact that the 2009 IRS training manual teaches agents to scan Facebook pages for information
that might assist in resolving a taxpayer case. Organizations such as this one now even promote social
media stalking . It s immensely difficult to stay and feel safe on

The Pros And Cons Of Alcohol Advertisements
Many entrepreneur s objectives are to grab the people s attention to focus on their product or
understand the reasoning why they promote it in that way. People get different messages throughout
the advertisement that is promoted. These people tend to go after what society goes after. If the
product is not on trend, then it must have a creative slogan for the society, so they have something to
focus. This is all based on the ethos, pathos, and logos that the creators focused on, so their message
could be reached out. As an example, the first advertisement of Budweiser consists of animals. Ethos
represents credibility or an ethical appeal which involves persuasion by the character involved, ( ).
The purpose of this advertisement is to buy beer with a companion. These entrepreneurs made their

This can mislead to a negative effect on alcohol advertisements which many teenagers are more eager
to do. Then these entrepreneurs assure themselves that it is believable for things to get uncontrolled as
well as following along with the pathos. It has a way of convincing people with an argument drawn
out through an emotional response ( ). Humans fall in love with animals while others don t.

Police officers in recent years have been ordered to focus on suspicious individuals that may possibly
perform acts of terrorism, but how do they know for sure that this individual is a terrorist. Don t they
all resemble each other and we cannot single out an entire race because of their religious beliefs and
that fact that some individuals of those same beliefs chose to take a path of violence (Hanson, 2010).
What factors do these predators look for when choosing their hate crime victims? There are several
different factors such as the individuals race (do they resemble Arabs or Muslims), their clothing (are
they wearing religious attire), their head gear (are they wearing a head dress) and even their actions
and how they speak to other individuals. Some examples of these hate crimes are murder, beating,

money they can, like work on a farm all day for less than two dollars per day. This can be avoided
children don t need to work on farms to help support their families, people don t need to be abducted
and forced to work on farms far from their homes and their families there are things we can do to stop
this in the US. Currently in America there are little to no import laws on chocolate specifically just
those for food in general and the only way to ensure that you get chocolate that was not gotten using
any kind of slave or child labor is to make sure that it was imported through Fair Trade USA because
they ensure that the chocolate is acquired through good means, so if they are made to be the main
importer of chocolate then we can cut down the slave and child labor in Africa greatly. In the African
cacao industry slave and child labor has been a serious issue for many years now. From harvesting
cacao pods to getting the cacao beans and processing them some f way or another

CIA Tactics
Following the attacks on September 11, 2001, the American people were scared. As a result, the U.S.
government wanted to ensure that any possible threat to the United States by terrorists would be
stopped before a tragic event like the attacks on the World Trade Center could be repeated. Detainees
with ties to terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda, for example, who were suspected of having key
intelligence of a possible future attack would be interrogated. The manner in which these detainees
were interrogated is the center of controversy as they used tactics that many would argue is torture.
These methods became known as enhanced interrogation techniques. This paper will strive to answer
whether enhanced interrogation techniques are actually ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Doctrine of Frustration
Contract assignment Doctrine of frustration Doctrine of frustration ACCORDING to Section 56, an
agreement to do an act impossible in itself is void (for example, an agreement to discover treasure by
magic). Supervening impossibility or illegality refers to the intrusion or occurrence of an unexpected
event or change of circumstances beyond the contemplation of the parties; such event or change of
circumstances must be so fundamental as to be regarded by law as striking at the root of contract as a
whole or the basis of the contract no longer exists. Subsequent impossibility in the UK is referred to as
Doctrine of Frustration. A contract is deemed to have become impossible of performance and, thus,
void under the following circumstances: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The data for decision, on the one hand, the terms and conditions of the contract, read in the light of the
then circumstances and, on the other hand, the events which have occurred. In the nature of thing there
is often no need for any elaborate enquiry. The Court must act upon a general impression of what its
rule requires. It is for that reason that special importance is necessarily attached to the occurrence of
an unexpected event that, as it were, changes the face of the things. But even so, it is not hardship or
inconvenience or material loss itself which calls the principle of frustration into play. (18)
IMPOSSIBILITY OF PERFORMANCE AMOUNTS TO FRUSTRATION A man can be expected to
do what is humanly possible but he cannot be expected morally or legally to do what is not physically
possible. It cannot be disputed that when a thing is beyond the human control it cannot be expected
from the party which had undertaken to do the work to suffer the consequences of not proceeding with
the contract work and in such a situation both the parties are relieved from their contractual
responsibilities. The word impossible in Section 56 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 has not been used
in the sense of physical or literal impossibility. The performance of an act may not be literally
impossible, but it may be impracticable and unless from the point of view of

Scotland Act 1998 Essay
The Parliament of the United Kingdom and the Scottish Parliament are the main sources of law in
Scotland. However, the Scotland Act 1998 and the Human Rights Act 1998 are two pieces of
legislation, produced by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, which have had a significant impact
on the development of the law in Scotland. They have made important changes to how law is made in
Scotland and how the Scottish legal system works. This essay aims to examine what it is these Acts
are intended to do, and discuss the impact they have had on the development of law in Scotland.
Until the Acts of Union 1707, which formed the Parliament of Great Britain (the Parliament of the
United Kingdom from 1801), Scotland had a separate Parliament which was able ... Show more

Scottish Parliament may legislate on any matter not reserved to the UK Parliament, including health,
education, the legal system, national heritage, housing, local government, the police and fire services,
environmental affairs, and economic development. The Scotland Act 1998 also provides that the
Scottish Government can change the basic rate of income tax. Previously, before the Scotland Act
1998, all taxation powers were the domain of the UK Parliament. Therefore, the Scottish Parliament
may legislate for any issue which is not a reserved matter, and as long as the legislation doesn t
contravene the criteria set out by Section 29(2). This has had an impact on the development of the law
in Scotland as it means that the Scottish Parliament may create legislation, however it also means that

Essay on Making a Tissue Box Cover
Adding decorative elements to a home can be done in many ways. One interesting option is to create a
cover for any dull looking tissue box in a living room, kitchen, or other room. The cover for a standard
tissue box can be made from many types of materials. One option is to use construction paper or fabric
which needs to be sewn. However, the cover will need to fold up on each side of the box which is then
fastened at the top. Review a few steps to make a simple tissue box cover.
Fabric Tissue Box Cover
Multiply the height of the tissue box by the width after adding one quarter inch for the seams. Measure
the top of your box and obtain the width and the height. Add one quarter inch to each measurement
and then multiple them together. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Add one quarter inch to each measurement. The top also needs to be measured for the width and
length.
Transfer the measurements for the tissue box to sheets of pieces of one quarter inch foam board. Use a
a ruler and utility knife to cut each piece. Trim one eighth of an inch from two side pieces. Cut an oval
shape out of the top section for the tissue.
Apply tacky glue to each edge of the side pieces and glue them together to form a square. The glue
will likely be dry in a couple of minutes. Apply tacky glue around the top and press the top piece in
place.
Determine the color for your tissue box cover and purchase the necessary construction paper. You
have the option for black paper or another color for the base if accessories are being added.
Measure each side of the tissue box to obtain the width and height. Transfer the measurements over
the the paper and cut out five sheets. Attach double sided tape to the back of each black sheet. Place
all the sheets on the sides of the tissue box. The next step is to measure the width and length of the top
of your tissue box. Cut a piece of construction paper and tape it to the top of the tissue box. A pair of
scissors is needed to cut the hole for the tissue.
Decorate the sides of the tissue box by using different piece of colored construction paper. Trace out
an object or different shapes and cut then out with the scissors. Apply small pieces of tape or craft glue

Corrections Trend Evaluation

Hector Garcia Ed. D
Abstract
Throughout the United States, there are many correctional facilities that house thousands of inmates.
Individuals who work within these facilities have a tough job in maintaining the prison facility and the
inmates. Correctional officers are called the front line workers and are responsible for looking after the
inmates. The officers who work for the correctional facility deal with issues that may arise inside and
outside of the facility. The subject to discuss is to evaluate the past, present, and future trends
pertaining to the development and operation of institutional community based corrections. An
identification and analysis of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is not enough data that shows that treatment and rehabilitation programs will reduce criminal
behavior in an offender and keep the offender from re offending. Once an offender is released from an
institution, he or she may have an idea about the way an institution is ran by his or her demeanor and
attitude one he or she is released from the facility. Community based correction programs are about as
important as a lock down facility. These types of programs are designed to hold the inmate
accountable for his or her actions, but also hold the communities responsible for reducing crime.
Individuals who work toward reducing crime with the help of community based programs are also
working hard to keep the community members involved in reducing crime, but also help the
community understand how to manage offenders and get the offenders reintegrated back into the
community (Evans, D., 2004). Another trend that has caused issues for correctional facilities is gangs
within the prison facility. Gangs within a correctional facility have been an ongoing issue for many
years. There are so many members of gangs that are incarcerated and these gang members when
brought into a correctional facility also bring his or her beliefs that his or her gang is the best. When
members of the same gang become incarcerated in the same correctional facility, the prison gang
grows and this causes a risk in harming the other inmates as

Mackenzie King Influence On Canada
Canada has had many prime ministers that have contributed and held back Canada in shaping Canada
s identity over the past century however nobody has came close to helping as Mackenzie king who
protected Canada during world war 2, brought Canada through the great depression with
industrialization, and he helped create national unity and independence. Canada would not be the
same country it is today without the fine leading of mackenzie king. During world war 2 mackenzie
king showed that Canada is a force to be reckoned with and not just an colony under britain s control.
Mackenzie king s close friendship with British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President
F. D. Roosevelt was a huge cornerstone of the allied effort. Mackenzie king mobilized the canadian air
forces and built the royal canadian air force .Mackenzie king implemented conscription in this war
without much crisis between the french and english canadians by making conscription for defense

Role Of Internal Audit On The Organization Outside The...
MEMO
To: Non accounting specialists
From: Miriam Lombe, Junior Accountant
Cc: Finance Director
Date: 15/12/2014
Subject: Role of Internal Audit
It has come to my attention that the role of internal audit is not clear to some members of the
organization outside the finance department. Therefore, it was decided that a memo is written to
explain clearly the role of internal audit.
Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting function intended to add value
and improve an organization s operations. The audit function can help an organization to achieve
objectives by evaluating an organizations risk management, control and governance processes to help
improve them.
Internal auditors (IA) assess how well risks are being managed in an organization, how the
organization is being governed and how well internal control systems and processes are working.
They report their findings to senior management, highlighting and advising management where
improvements in systems controls and processes are necessary.
By evaluating an organization s risk management and assisting management in improvement of
internal controls, IA s help management to clearly show stakeholders that they are managing the
organization well.
Different from external auditors, IA s work within an organization and their work can vary depending
on the business requirements. They do not only look at financial risks and statements but at a range of
issues that are key to a company s survival

The Other Wes Moore Analysis
It was clear by just the first few pages of both books that both these books dealt with drugs.
Dreamland literally has opiate in the title while one can simply read the back cover to discover this
fact. Both styles were similar due to both being written in small parts. The Other Wes Moore splits
both Moore s stories in the same chapter with a creative title describing both stories. For example, the
chapter Foreign Ground describes a new environment for both boys. The one began a new school
where he doesn t fit in while the other moves to a new home. Both of these are a step up from where
they were before. Dreamland possesses witty yet literal titles such as Delivered Like Pizza which
shows the system of delivering drugs. They even have

The For Purchasing Premium Ski Clothing Within Short
With little prior knowledge of running a successful SEM campaign using the vast array of tools
available in the AdWords interface, this project generated a number of challenges. The most difficult
aspect of the campaign was to express the reasons for purchasing premium ski clothing within short,
text based ads. The ads also had to align with the brand s values and not waste money on irrelevant
keywords. This challenge was overcome before and during the campaign via initial and ongoing
communication with the Pure Brandz CEO. Communication was not an issue because all work on the
campaign was performed at the client s office. The client was therefore able to trust that at no stage
would the campaign negatively affect the brand image or spend the marketing budget unnecessarily.
The resulting level of trust and frequent communication were useful in maintaining a stress free work
environment to create an effective SEM campaign. Working solo on this project meant that the client
was not able to collaborate at any stage of the process, could not gain knowledge from the experience,
and therefore did not share insights or participate in discussions on how to optimise any part of the
campaign. On the other hand, a team project must continually strive to prevent the possibility of
moving the campaign off course due to groupthink. Groupthink is caused when a potentially harmful
solution is agreed upon by all team members despite their internal objection due to their loyalty to the

Iranian Influence On Iran
The US was in Iran in 1953 during the Cold War. We were there because we were helping overthrow
Mosaddeq, who was a fierce nationalist in Iran. The overthrow took about four days lasting August 15
through the 19 in 1953. Mohammad Mosaddeq was the Iranian Prime Minister. He sought to audit the
books of Anglo Iranian Oil Company (AIOC). Upon the refusal of the AIOC to co operate with the
Iranian government, the parliament voted to nationalize the assets of the company and expel their
representatives from the country. Following the coup in 1953, a government under General Fazlollah
Zahedi was formed which allowed Mohammad Rezā Shāh Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran, to rule the
country more firmly as monarch. We helped finance the coup so that on August ... Show more content

USSR and the West tried very hard to influence Iran. The west wanted to influence Iran to be

they wanted access to Iran s oil. Iran from the dawn of Iran s beginning had an excellent source of oil

  • 3. Explain How A Business User Could Be Involved In The Core... Close involvement of a business user from the beginning of information systems development has the potential to produce a better outcome for both the organization and the developer. In this essay I will explain how a business user could be involved in the core activities of building an information system. Additionally, I will analyze how software development methodologies can work in tandem with project management for the benefit of both information systems development projects and the organization. Finally, I will evaluate how project managers and IT managers can ensure that information system development projects are in alignment with business strategies and goals. Business User Involved in Core Activities There are six core ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By being a part of this phase the business user can provide inputs that in the end will make the system an overall better product and more user friendly to those who will actually be required to operate the system (Grevendok, 2013). The third phase of the system development process is the programming phase. During this stage system specifications that were prepared during the design stage are translated into software program code (Laudon, Laudon, 2016). The business user plays a vital role in this stage because it is in this stage that the software will be either developed or purchased from an outside vendor (Hsu, Lin, Zheng Hung, 2011). Ensuring that the software aligns with the new requirements is vital to the long term success of the information system. The fourth stage of the system development process is the testing phase. During this phase exhaustive and complete testing must be accomplished to ensure that the new system produces the expected results (Laudon, Laudon, 2016). The business user s involvement in this process can be utilized by trying to make the new system fail in order to fix any major or minor problem that may arise down the road (Laudon, Laudon, 2016). The fifth stage of the system development process is the conversion phase. It is during this phase where the process of changing from the old system to the new system happens (Laudon, ... The Story of Russian Princess Anastasia Romanov Almost everyone knows the story of Russian Princess Anastasia Romanov, but not everyone knows about her father, Tsar Nicholas II, and his role in his family s banishment and death. The last Tsar of Russia was forced to abdicate his throne by the Russian people who wanted change, like how he is allegorized by Mr. Jones in George Orwell s Animal Farm. Tsar Nicholas II is the eldest of the six children that Tsar Alexander III and Maria Feodorovna. The Tsar was born on May 18, 1868, in Pushkin, Russia, also known as the Tsarskoe Selo palace just south of St. Petersburg. His full name is Nikolai Aleksandrovich Romanov. The Tsar s education was religion based and guided by his father, at home. He excelled in history and foreign language, but not in economics and politics. His father never really guided him on the affairs of the state. His education was from handpicked tutors, like Konstantin Pobedonostsev. Konstantin Pobedonostsev lived for eighty years, being born in 1827. He had been a professor of Russian literature at the University of Moscow, and was distinguished by his organization skills, learning procedure. Alexander II had asked Pobedonostsev to tutor his sons. He was revolutionary in apply Jewish law relating secular laws in (Kashrut). This rejuvenation of Jewish result law resulted in much resistance by orthodox jews. Until that time Halacha god was only understood through the prism of Halacha, it was Rav Kook that enlarged the boundaries of Halacha to include Zionism. That is why Rav Kook had a picture of Herzl hung in his office and considered him as a modern Moses, even though Herzl was a secular jew that had Christmas trees in his home. Rav Kook s revolutionary approach to the Halacha was not to look at the religion soley from the perspective of that man is passive and only god is active. By creating the bridge between Zionism to religion, he merited religious jews the freedom to act and engage in history and not waiting for god to act. He was instrumental in allowing religious Zionism to become active participants in their own destiny, as he stated The people of Israel are not a nation in the normal sense of the term, but rather the essence of the human ideal. The conservatives think of it as some kind of culture of poverty, personal choice (Furlong, 2013, p. 328) that is riddled with fraud and waste. While the liberals, site welfare as a state of unequal opportunities caused by unfair economics or less than ideal social conditions beyond their control (Furlong, 2013, p. 328). The conservative see the failures and the liberals see the need to expand on possibly successes. Both sides share the necessity of reform equivalently. However, coming from these extreme perspectives the solutions remained far apart. The cost of welfare is extremely high and effects a great portion of the population. Building on this, enforcement of the policy and allowing partial welfare, as the work income level adjusted to a set threshold (Dorgan, 2003) would gain further success. If the job was less than the benefits, it only enhances the stagnation because it is beneficial to not work at some points. Improving daycare availability and addressing societal causes would greatly decrease the dependency of welfare (Dorgan, 2003). Properly funding these reforms would be a key to the success of reforming welfare. • 11. Infective Endocarditis Infective endocarditis is the inflammation of the damaged parts of the heart due to an infection usually from elsewhere in the body. In this disease the endocardium (the inner lining of the heart) is inflamed and can lead to damaged heart valves and to other life threatening complications. William Osler was the first one to recognize this disease and gave a name to it in 1885 in his Gulstonian lectures. When a patient s heart has a defect or a part that is not as strong as the rest then that part is susceptible to infective endocarditis. This tends to come from blood flowing from a higher pressure area in the heart to a lower pressured area. This causes an indention in the heart s endocardium that collects deposits. When patients have bacteremia, the presence of infectious bacteria in the blood, the bacteria often fall into these indentions and start to collect. Once they have started to collect they will multiply and are called vegetation. Once vegetation happens there is an increased risk of having an abnormal alignment in the valve that the vegetation is around. This can cause a decreased blood flow or even a blocked valve. This may cause emboli to escape from the heart and head to other sections of the body (i.e. the lungs or the brain) depending which valve is being effected. Covey refers to paradigms as life centers, or things you center your life around. Some of these life centers include friends, stuff, school, parents, sports, and social media. In particular, the Babylonian epic of creation, Enuma Elish, which served the purpose of explaining the genesis of the universe and how people first came to inhabit it, reveals a parallelism with the Greek s Theogony. Just like any other spring. However, little did I know this spring was going to change the way I see life. Particularly the way I view people. It was the start of another Shabbona Park baseball season. My spirits were high, and I was excited to get back to the grind. I was particularly excited in seeing my coach, Mr. Augustine. Providing bonuses for workers, who perform their jobs effectively, according to measurable criteria, should increase overall performance within FastCat. According to the original merit plan, the rating system used valid and valuable criteria but the uneven distribution suggested its extreme leniency. Cocoa trees grow on small farms in tropical environments, within 15 20 degrees of latitude from the equator. Cocoa is a delicate and sensitive crop, and farmers must protect trees from wind, sun, pests, and disease. Because of this they are only grown in certain parts of the world mainly Africa. MEMO To: Non accounting specialists From: Miriam Lombe, Junior Accountant Cc: Finance Director Date: 15/12/2014 Subject: Role of Internal Audit It has come to my attention that the role of internal audit is not clear to some members of the organization outside the finance department. Therefore, it was decided that a memo is written to explain clearly the role of internal audit. Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting function intended to add value and improve an organization s operations. The audit function can help an organization to achieve objectives by evaluating an organizations risk management, control and governance processes to help improve them. Internal auditors (IA) assess how well risks are being managed in an organization, how the organization is being governed and how well internal control systems and processes are working. They report their findings to senior management, highlighting and advising management where improvements in systems controls and processes are necessary. By evaluating an organization s risk management and assisting management in improvement of internal controls, IA s help management to clearly show stakeholders that they are managing the organization well. Different from external auditors, IA s work within an organization and their work can vary depending on the business requirements. The For Purchasing Premium Ski Clothing Within Short With little prior knowledge of running a successful SEM campaign using the vast array of tools available in the AdWords interface, this project generated a number of challenges. The most difficult aspect of the campaign was to express the reasons for purchasing premium ski clothing within short, text based ads. The ads also had to align with the brand s values and not waste money on irrelevant keywords. This challenge was overcome before and during the campaign via initial and ongoing communication with the Pure Brandz CEO. Communication was not an issue because all work on the campaign was performed at the client s office. The client was therefore able to trust that at no stage would the campaign negatively affect the brand image or spend the marketing budget unnecessarily. The resulting level of trust and frequent communication were useful in maintaining a stress free work environment to create an effective SEM campaign. Working solo on this project meant that the client was not able to collaborate at any stage of the process, could not gain knowledge from the experience, and therefore did not share insights or participate in discussions on how to optimise any part of the campaign.
