Using Social Media in Teaching, Learning and Assessment

  • 5.  Objective are to develop:  Deep level Liquid learning  Meta-disciplinary collaboration and perspective  Meta-cognition: Critical and reflective thinking and learning how we learn  Meta-competence: Learning to learn and becoming “Learner Par Excellence” 5
  • 6.  Assessment for Learning  Assessment of Learning (Barrett & Carney, 2004)  Assessment as Learning (Earl, 2003) 6
  • 7.  Opportunities to model diverse practices  Develop reflective skills and habits  Media-rich and inclusive learning and assessment  Be creative, innovative and experiment  Learning conversations  Build personal learning networks and connect with others 7
