Competitive Cheer leading When people hear the word cheer leading they tend to think of a group
of pretty girls frolicking around being peppy in short skirts and pom poms while being
optimistically spontaneous and enthusiastic without having to put in any effort toward a physical
and mental state that challenges one s ability. It never comes to mind, to question whether the fact

The definition of a sport is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical [ability] and often a
competitive nature... ( Sport ). Cheer leading has become a thriving female industry in a primarily
male dominated world that should be worthy enough to receive the respect it deserves to be called
a sport. Many may agree to competitive cheerleading being a sport due to it having to be highly
competitive, physically and financially demanding, and requiring an abundant amount of trust in
the team.
Cheer leading was started in the 1880 s by a pep club of all men that lead the crowd with chants
in Princeton University football games. One of the men in that pep club, Thomas Peebles,
introduced the concept of cheer to the University of Minnesota when he moved to Minneapolis,
Minnesota, USA. By 1889 pep clubs, cheers, yells and fight songs continued to develop in many
schools and universities around the USA to stimulate their sport fans school spirit ( History of
Cheerleading ). Now cheer leading is overruled by mostly women. An article comments that
estimates show that around 97 percent of modern cheer leading participants are female, but at
the collegiate level, cheer leading is a co ed sport with about a 50 50 split between males and
females (Young). It has come a long way since the 1880 s. Most sports these days are male

3. The Bible And The Holy Bible Essay
From its first pages, the Holy Bible indicates that the most terrible events in the annals of space
occur due to the human actions. From the theological point of view, the man is designated with
such importance due to the fact of being the reason of war between God and Lucifer.
Unfortunately, after the Fall of man, the evil was allowed into the world, and thus the world got
secluded from God. God can speak to people, is able to remind them of His existence, but the
whole tragedy of the pre Christian world can be expressed in a simple and well known phrase:
There was God, and there were people , and they were apart. Between them, there was a kind of
thin, invisible wall preventing the humanheart from to connecting with God truly, and hindering
God from staying with people forever. Appearing in the role of God s servant, Christ comes to
people with the aim of raising a revolt against the usurper inside their souls. When we carefully
read the Bible, it becomes clear that Christ is not a sentimental preacher emphasizing on morals
and ethics of the times; He is a warrior, and the Cross of Calvary is the price He had to pay for
people s fascination with the evil teachings. Jazzmon Brunson

4. Martin Luther Splintering Of Religion
Divine grace was a particularly prominent concern in sixteenth century Europe, it prompted the
splintering of Christendom and was therefore responsible in large part for the subsequent violence.
With the extensive conflict motivated by debates over the delivery of divine grace, it comes as no
surprise that leading figures of the era harbored vastly differing opinions on the subject. Martin
Luther, John Fisher, and Hans Staden, drawing from the exact same source material, came to
drastically different conclusions regarding the bestowment, acceptance, and discovery of divine
grace. Martin Luther s personal interpretation of divine grace differed so greatly from that of other
christians that it facilitated the splintering of a religion. Luther s influential interpretation was
formed on the basis of two claims made by St. Paul in his Letter to the Romans. First, a justified
Christian lives by faith alone, and second Christ is the end and the fulfillment of all commandments
for those who believe in Him, (Luther 22). Luther interpreted St. Paul s words to mean that divine
grace is bestowed through faith, that Faith... will abundantly justify those who have it, such that
they require nothing more to be righteous and pious, (Luther 22). The idea of being saved through
nothing but faith resonated with Luther, a man obsessed with his own repentance, to the point that
he visited confession several times daily (Smith). The inherent nature of faith, as Luther viewed it,

FOOT AND MOUTH: CATTLE
Key Facts
Foot and Mouth (FMD) is recognized as a highly contagious viral disease which affects cloven
hooved animals, such as cattle (Bos Taurus) (Grubman and Baxt, 2004).
The mortality rate is very low as affected animals can recover from the disease, however, due to the
loss of production and infectious state of the disease, infected animals are usually culled.
The outbreak of FMD in the United Kingdom in 2001 caused the destruction of about 6 million
animals from 9,515 farms and losses of ВЈ8 million. It then spread to Ireland, the Netherlands and
France.

It can also survive 14 days in dry faecal matter, 39 days in urine and up to 28 days in soil.
After infection with the FMD virus, the average incubation period in cattle is 2 14 days. The
incubation period of FMD can vary and is highly dependent on the environment, host, virus strain
and the way in which the individual got infected (e.g. inhalation or ingestion).
Diagnosis
Symptoms of FMD include:
Drop in milk production and blisters on teats
Lameness or difficulty walking due to blisters on feet
Significant increase in body temperature for 3 consecutive days
Vesicles that discharge clear or cloudy fluid
Sticky and foamy saliva
Weight loss/anorexia due to painful tongue and mouth blisters
Abortions
Heart disease and sudden death
In cattle, the clinical signs of the disease are easily confused with the symptoms of vesicular
stomatitis (Alexandersen, Zhang, Donaldson and Garland, 2003). Therefore, laboratory testing is
essential for diagnosis. Bodily fluids are taken for testing. If no vesicles can be found, fluid can
be collected by pharyngeal swabbing for virus isolation or reverse transcription PCR. Serum

When the new upper class movement, Renaissance, occurred in Italy around the 14th century, a
revival of the classical forms originally developed by the ancient Greeks and Romans, an intensified
concern with secular life, and interest in humanism and assertion of the importance of the
individual began. Thus, artists such as Mosaccio and Giotto depicted art that unlike the Middle
Ages, showed emotions, feelings, and bright colors, thus demonstrating the deep concern for

allowed the creation of new styles and mathematical input that manifested everyday life with
religious aspects. One such artist was Giovanni Bellini who introduced bright, rich, strong colors
into his palette and landscapes that expressed the happiness, calmness, and prosperity that Italy
carried throughout the Renaissance. These characteristics and styles of paintings subsequently
became a popular Venetian cornerstone. Other important figures in the Italian Renaissance that
demonstrated the movement?s ideas through their ingenious paintings and architectural methods
were Pier Della Francesca and Leon Battista Alberti. Francesca, who was and expert in mathematics,
developed the art form of perspective. Alberti, on the other hand, as an architect developed the

15. Essay Explain How The Coriolis Effect On Ocean Currents
1.Describe four factors that influence ocean currents.
The wind, the biggest factor in the creation of surface currents, salinity and temperature differences,
affecting density, earth s rotation, when a rotating object collides with another moving force, it
created a new motion, solar heating and bottom topography in which the moving water drops out
moving the water downward.
2.Explain how the Coriolis Effect impacts ocean currents.
The Coriolis Effect is the apparent change in wind direction due to the spin of Earth. It controls
wind direction, which in turn influences ocean currents at the surface. They blow to different air
pressures. Earth s curvature and axial orientation receive most sunlight so temperatures are higher.

What is upwelling and why is it important to the marine ecosystem?
The process by which nutrients and energy resurface is called upwelling. Through upwelling, cold,
nutrient rich water rises from the deep ocean to the surface. Upwelling is caused when winds drive
the surface waters away from an area. This would help with the survival of marine mammals.
5.Explain the relationship density has on wind currents and ocean currents.
A denser material will always fall through a less dense material, or alternatively look at it as the less
dense material being more buoyant and thus rising through the denser material.
High pressure areas are normally caused by a phenomenon called subsidence, meaning that as the
air in the high cools it becomes denser and moves toward the ground. Pressure increases here
because more air fills the space left from the low.In the ocean, density driven currents act the same
way. The Global Ocean Conveyor Belt is created when very cold, dense ocean water in the North
Atlantic descends through the water column. It starts the cycle of pushing the whole thing around
the globe. In the warm waters of the equatorial Pacific, waters rise to the surface.

Abstract
The purpose of this project is to develop a technology, product, service, or process that emulates a
natural system and addresses an area of global need. The project is intended to address an area of
global need by improving the performance, reducing the demand for energy resources and/or
reducing waste, emissions, and byproducts.
For the project, a biomimicry design was considered to develop a tool that would be used to dig
more efficiently and effectively in urban search and rescue. Access to heavy machinery and
expensive equipment can be limited particularly if a structural failure occurs in an area in which a
disaster, such as an earthquake, has occurred.
The product emulates the badger s paws and their ability to dig at high speeds. Although badgers
are not big in size, they have strong feet that allow them to dig extremely fast.
Every second counts when you are searching for and attempting to rescue individuals that are
trapped in confined spaces. The time it takes you to get to the individual could be the deciding
factor of the person s survival. Creating better and more efficient tools for search and rescue teams

Anger is a feeling that can be associated with physiology or psychology. Many factors such as
race, class, gender, ethnicity, religion can cause anger. Anger could be perceived as something
natural but also could be perceived as something disastrous. Anger is not like any feeling as
because it is the most severe feeling. Although it is the most dangerous feeling, people always get
angry due to many reasons (Kim10). Goldhor lerner stated that: Anger is a signal .... It may be a
message that we are being hurt, that our rights are being violated; that our needs or wants are not

The fable, The Five Temptations of a CEO by Patrick Lencioni, is about a man named Andrew

direction. When traveling home on the subway that night he meets the janitor, Charlie, who tells
him about the five temptations of a CEO and how he can avoid falling victim to them if he hasn

company is a prestigious honor as well as a huge accomplishment in life, but what I was most
intrigued about were the temptations most CEO s fall victim to during their careers. Maybe
after reading this it can help me avoid these common mistakes. When we first see Andrew in his
office, he is very nervous about his company board meeting the next morning, because it makes a
full year of him being CEO and he has to explain how the company has been operating in the past
year when he knows that is hasn t be preforming at its best. Instead of leaving work as his usual

revolves around mechanism by which neutrophils react in the body. According to Margaroli, C.,
and R. Tirouvanziam, neutrophils might not be the tight and ridged leukocytes they were previous
thought to be, rather they have a lot of elasticity when it comes to how they unfold in the tissues in
the body (Margaroli and Tirouvanziam 1). This neutrophil elasticity creates a perfect setting for
diseased microenvironments to grow in the body which is often associated with lung disease and
C.F. (Margaroli and Tirouvanziam 1). In C.F. patient s neutrophils are often over worked and there
is neutrophil activity in the body s extracellular fluid which shows the relationship between the

One of the bigger arguments against a gap year is not going back. Parent of the students fair that
a year away from school can make them go completely against college. Being away from school
may lessen stress for students and they definitely don t want to go back to such a stressed and
structured lifestyle. Also if that person is working during their gap year and making money the
idea of going to college and putting yourself into crippling debt isn t very appealing, therefore
steering them away from returning back to school. Another issue is students will see a gap year
as literal time off and won t do anything constructive with their time. Wasting a whole year on just
sitting around, eating junk food and watching Netflix is very counterproductive. It will put you
behind of your peers. Additionally gap years can add on expensive, particularly if you traveled.
Putting more financial debt on yourself can cause greats amount of stress and make it much more

Introduction
Jesus asked His disciples, Who do you say I am? Peter answered for them,
You are the Christ. (Mark 8:27 29) This word, Christ, is the Greek word christos and
translates the Hebrew messiah. The term messiah or Christ was used prophetically as the

people s understanding of messiah has a military or political implication. Matthew s

He is the divine Son. The long awaited One of the Old Testament prophesies. The next

40. Globalizatons and Cherokees
Globalization has caused extreme change on the Cherokee ways of life, institutions, customs and
traditions. The Cherokee people are incorporating more and more of their past traditions in to
their institutions way of life in a means of trying to preserve them in this every changing world.
Once a culture of people that held high their beliefs and way of life was nearly an extinct culture
after the European, and colonization forced these people out of their land. It is important to see
look at the affects that globalization has on the Cherokeepeople because looking at this we can see
how globalization affects human dignity both in a positive manner and in a negative manner.
The education institutions that are on the boundary give the Cherokee children the right to self
fulfillment; it does this by providing them with the right education to go to college or so on if
they wish. The school has incorporated ideas from all over to make sure that their children have
the best possible education that they can get to survive and thrive in the modern world today. Our
culture has played a huge impact on how they view technology. Our culture is constantly obsessing
over the newest and greatest technology, because of this there are tons of jobs in this field. The
Cherokee schools teach children as early as elementary school how to work with different
technology to give them a head start in the culture that surrounds them so that they can keep at a
solid pace with us.
This is a positive

41. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Fermented Foods
Usually fermentation of raw materials by their indigenous microflora has been applied for
production of fermented foods, nevertheless, many risks associated with that should be
distinguished: questionable sanitary safety of obtained products and unstable fermentation process
due to instability of commonly multi strain starter culture are main of them. These disadvantages of
spontaneous fermentationand its related risks should be minimised in industrial production of
fermented foods. Therefore microbiologically defined starter cultures that ensure faster and more
controlled fermentation process and final products with constantly desired quality are extensively
studied in respect to physiological properties of certain strains and their mutual relationship with
environment of specific raw material and conditions of the process (Faid et al., 1997; Sahlin, 1999;
Dai et al., 2013).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fish lipids are a valuable source of poly polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially omega 3. Fish e.
g, Baltic herring (Clupea harengus membras (L.)) and their by products, being relatively cheap
raw material have an unexploited potential for increasing its nutritional value (De Arruda et al.,
2007). Every year worldwide 18 20 million tons of raw material from fish industry are wasted
(Elvevoll, 2004). Raw materials of fish origin could be used for development and industrial
production of foods with added nutritional value, functional foods, biomedical products and animal
feedstuffs (Dragnes and Elvevoll, 2003; Elvevoll,

42. Common Type Of Wrist Fracture
Scaphoid fracture is the most common type of wrist fracture and is an important health problem
as it affects predominately young active individuals (mean age 29)1. They are therefore of
significant social and economic importance. These fractures account for 2 7% of all fractures1.
They commonly occur when a patient falls onto an outstretched hand or are sustained as a
sporting injury. Scaphoid fractures are notoriously difficult to image and due to the poor blood
supply, has issue with regard to non union and avascular necrosis (AVN)1. The clinical signs of
this fracture are swelling and pain in the scaphoid region, tenderness in the anatomical snuffbox
, pain on axial compression, pain while pronating the hand, and painful pinch grip2. Radiological
diagnosis consists of a scaphoid series of X rays: Anterior Posterior, lateral, semipronated and
semisupinated views2. In cases of so called occult fractures, the fracture is not visible on the
radiographs, if the clinical signs are highly suggestive of fracture a 2 week period of cast
immobilization is recommended, followed by a repeat X ray series2. If further investigation is
required, CT and MRI scans can also be implemented. Surgery is generally indicated for patients
who have displaced or unstable fractures and patients who will not tolerate cast immobilization.
There is currently an increasing trend for immediate surgical fixation for both displaced and
undisplaced fractures, mainly due to the short term benefits,
