Introduction
Mexico, (officially the United Mexican States), is a country in North America,
lying between the United States of America to the north, and Guatemala
and Belize to the southeast.
It is one of the most popular tourist countries on the planet.

History:
People had been living in the
Valley of Mexico for many centuries
before the arrival of the Aztecs in
the thirteenth century and the
conquering Spaniards soon after
that. The basin had no natural
outlet and several lakes formed in the
valley, attracting inhabitants to their shores.
Not far from present-day Mexico City, more than
100,000 people lived in Teotihuacán, the "Place of the
Gods," before it was inexplicably abandoned around
A.D. 750. Many other groups moved in and out of the
valley.

Mexico is the national
government of the United
Mexican States that takes
place in a framework of a
federal presidential representative democratic republic
whose government is based on a congressional system,
whereby the President of Mexico is both head of state
and head of government, and of a multi-party electoral
system. President “Enrique PENA NIETO” is the present Chief
of State and Head of Government (since 1-Dec-2012).

containing almost 2 million
square kilometers.
Most of Mexico is highland
or mountainous and less
than 15% of the land is
arable; about 25% of
the country is forested.

diverse, and the climate

of Mexico with a perfect
climate. Many parts of
the central highlands
and some coastal locations,
have "perfect" weather all
Year round. It has very small seasonal changes.

by tourism, industrial
production, oil and gas
production, textiles and
clothing, and agriculture.
Mexico produces and
exports a wide
selection of agricultural
goods.
Just about every kind of
fruit and vegetable is grown on giant modern irrigated
farms and small family plots.

Education in Mexico is regulated by the Secretariat
of Public Education.
Aside from many public schools and universities,
you can also choose an international school for
your children.
American, German, French or Japanese Schools
are available as well.

The Mexican education system has three levels:
1.Basic education: consists of preschool, primary school and lower secondary
education.
2.Upper Secondary Education: Further it has two types:-
i. High school: Two, Three or four years Programs. Depending on school
your children attend.
ii. Professional Technical Education: Two, Three or Five years Programs.
3.Tertiary Education: Further it has three types:-
i. Higher Technician: Two Years Program, Short Level Of Bachelor’s.
ii. Bachelor’s Degree: Four Years Program, Graduation Level.
iii. Postgraduate Studies: Master’s or Doctoral Degree
Transportation:
Mexico has an excellent
bus system. First class
buses are a preferred way
to travel for many North
Americans.
Trains also are available,
but the standards do vary.
For many people, air travel
is the way to go.
There are many excellent
airports in the country.
All resort areas are served
by airports, and many people cruise by boat to coastal
destinations.

and a full range of health care. Pharmaceuticals are
widely available and at
prices lower than
the U.S. or Canada.

Mexico has a total population of about
116,220,947 (July 2013 estimate), making it the
eleventh most populous country in the world. The
capital of Mexico, Mexico City has a metropolitan
area population of 21.2 million, though just under 9
million of those people live in the city proper, making
it the country's most population dense city.
Other major metropolitan areas include
Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla, Toluca, and
Tijuana.

60 native languages spoken by
over 6 million people in Mexico
but their national language is
Spanish which is spoken by over
95% of the population.
English is also spoken by

daily basis tourist activities.

most Mexicans are Christians. This is emphasized by the fact
that Christmas is a national holiday and all schools in Mexico
close for a vacation during Easter.

Position of Family:
Family is a central theme in Mexico, and a cornerstone
of the culture. It is not unusual for three or sometimes
four generations of family to meet up for afternoon
lunch, sit around the table, talk, gossip, laugh and joke
with each other. This is not a special
Event, this is family life as usual!.
At the weekends, parks, museums, and
local attractions are packed with
families enjoying their free time
together.

Social & Economic Levels:
Now, Government has set an ambitious course of
economic and social reforms, for which it has obtained
broad political support.
The policies of the past several years have positioned
the country well in terms of macroeconomic and
financial performance, but economic growth remains
insufficient and more needs to be done to improve well
being. This economic survey puts forward reforms
aimed to achieve higher income levels and better social
conditions in Mexico.

Business Hours:
The Work Week. The federal Labor Law of Mexico sets forth a maximum of 48 hours per
week as the amount of hours a laborer can work without going overtime.
The Work Day: For every 6 days of work ( Monday through Saturday ), employees are
entitled to one day of rest with full pay.
Work Shifts: There are 3 work shifts, consisting of the day shift ( eight hours ), the night
shift ( seven hours ) and the mixed shift ( 7 1/2 hours ). The mixed shift is part day shift
and part night shift.
Overtime: In that case the hourly wage can be double or even triple the normal hourly
wage, depending on how many hours overtime you work. In the event that the overtime
is on a holiday, the hours are paid at triple the normal hourly wage.

Mexico offers a wide variety of excellent dining opportunities.
Any type of food is available, and in the better restaurants,
the food preparation, presentation and service are among the
best in the world. Prices vary from ridiculously low, to as
much as you would pay in a nice restaurant anywhere.

When greeting a Mexican woman women, they only bow and
Shake hands only if she extends her hand first.

They Don't show signs of discomfort, which would be
considered rude by your Mexican counterpart.

  • 5. History: People had been living in the Valley of Mexico for many centuries before the arrival of the Aztecs in the thirteenth century and the conquering Spaniards soon after that. The basin had no natural outlet and several lakes formed in the valley, attracting inhabitants to their shores. Not far from present-day Mexico City, more than 100,000 people lived in Teotihuacán, the "Place of the Gods," before it was inexplicably abandoned around A.D. 750.   • 22. Position of Family: Family is a central theme in Mexico, and a cornerstone of the culture. It is not unusual for three or sometimes four generations of family to meet up for afternoon lunch, sit around the table, talk, gossip, laugh and joke with each other. This is not a special Event, this is family life as usual!. At the weekends, parks, museums, and local attractions are packed with families enjoying their free time together. Life style of Mexico:
  • 23. Social & Economic Levels: Now, Government has set an ambitious course of economic and social reforms, for which it has obtained broad political support. The policies of the past several years have positioned the country well in terms of macroeconomic and financial performance, but economic growth remains insufficient and more needs to be done to improve well being. This economic survey puts forward reforms aimed to achieve higher income levels and better social conditions in Mexico. Life style of Mexico:
  • 24. Business Hours: The Work Week. The federal Labor Law of Mexico sets forth a maximum of 48 hours per week as the amount of hours a laborer can work without going overtime. The Work Day: For every 6 days of work ( Monday through Saturday ), employees are entitled to one day of rest with full pay. Work Shifts: There are 3 work shifts, consisting of the day shift ( eight hours ), the night shift ( seven hours ) and the mixed shift ( 7 1/2 hours ). The mixed shift is part day shift and part night shift. Overtime: In that case the hourly wage can be double or even triple the normal hourly wage, depending on how many hours overtime you work. In the event that the overtime is on a holiday, the hours are paid at triple the normal hourly wage. Life style of Mexico:
