With the increase in need of water for irrigation, there is also a case where we use more water for irrigation than it’s needed for crops. That results in the wastage of water and causes the problem in the growth of crops. To overcome this problem, this paper puts together a study of a system based on Irrigation using IOT (Internet of things). This system targets on sensing the soil moisture and temperature using the sensors and provide the data to the Thing speak server after which the farmer can decide whether to ON or OFF the pump.
This is a mini project based on the agricultural system which differs from traditional agricultural system as it is directed by the IOT devices. Some relevant information of conventional system were also discussed to differentiate between both the systems.

Automatic irrigation is a form of irrigation system that incorporates the theory of control, power of wireless technology and feedback system with irrigation. The aim of our project is not only to minimize this manual intervention by the farmer in farm field, but also to successfully water garden plants planted in pots too. Which is why we are using micro- controller based Automated Irrigation system will serve the following purposes: 1) As there is no un-planned usage of water, a lot of water is saved from being wasted. 2) The irrigation is done only when there is not enough moisture in the soil and the microcontroller decides when should the pump be turned on/off, saves a lot time for the farmers. This also gives much needed rest to the farmers and helps, as they don’t have to go and turn the pump on/off manually. 3)This irrigation system can be monitor by user wirelessly. User can receive notification and can provide proper commands via his cell phone whenever necessary.

Project Report on HOME AUTOMATION USING DTMF.
The Project “Home Automation using mobile communication” has different sections such as:
1.Microcontroller
2.DTMF decoder
3. Relays
. This project we propose a unique System for Home automation utilizing Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) that is paired with a wireless module to provide seamless wireless control over many devices in a house. This user console has many keys, each corresponding to the device that needs to be activated. The encoder encodes the user choice and sends via a GSM transmitter. The GSM receiver receives the modulated signal and demodulates it and the user choice is determined by the DTMF decoder. Based upon this the required appliance is triggered.
Arduino based intelligent greenhouse ProjectAmit Saini
Final Year Project : - Arduino based ‘Intelligent Green House'
A complete greenhouse monitoring and controlling system ,that is automated, updating each and every detail on internet that can be accessed from anywhere. For sensors, it uses a light sensor, temperature sensor, moisture sensor, humidity sensor and all the updates will be available on internet through Ethernet shield through which the user can take care of the garden even when not at home.
In this project an automated greenhouse robot was built with the purpose of controlling the greenhouse
environment Parameters such as temperature and humidity. The microcontroller used to create the automated
greenhouse robot was an AT89s51. This project utilizes three different sensors, a humidity sensor, a Light
sensor and a temperature sensor. The 2sensors are controlling the two Relays which are a fan (for cooling) and
a bulb (for heating). The fan is used to change the temperature and the bulb is used to heat the plants. The
humidity control system and the temperature control system were tested both separately and together. The
result showed that the temperature and humidity could be maintained in the desired range.

Recycling of Industrial Waste Water for the Generation of Electricity by Regu...IJAAS Team
The paper focuses on generating the renewable energy source from industrial waste water effluents. Utilizing the industrial waste water in order to generate electricity, a flow control sensor has been installed at the outlet of the tunnel which passes the waste water to the turbine. As per the need, the generation of electricity varies with respect to the flow through the use of flow control sensor. The generated electricity is then used for powering the street lights, gardening and run-way paths, during night time. The flow control sensor when integrated using IoT and cloud storage facilitates efficiency and scalability thereby providing massive utilization of energy usage.

Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Title: GREEN HOUSE MONITORING AND CONTROL
ABSTRACT:
Monitoring and control of greenhouse environment play an important role in greenhouse
production and management. To monitor the greenhouse environment parameters effectively, it
is necessary to design a measurement and control system. The objective of this project is to
design a simple, easy to install, microcontroller-based circuit to monitor and record the values of
temperature, humidity, soil moisture and sunlight of the natural environment that are
continuously modified and controlled in order optimize them to achieve maximum plant growth
and yield. The controller used is a low power, cost efficient chip manufactured by PIC16f877A
having 8K bytes of on-chip flash memory. It communicates with the various sensor modules in
real-time in order to control the light, aeration and drainage process efficiently inside a
greenhouse by actuating a cooler, fogger, dripper and lights respectively according to the
necessary condition of the crops. An integrated Liquid crystal display (LCD) is also used for real
time display of data acquired from the various sensors and the status of the various devices. Also,
the use of easily available components reduces the manufacturing and maintenance costs. The
design is quite flexible as the software can be changed any time. It can thus be tailor-made to the
specific requirements of the user. This makes the proposed system to be an economical, portable
and a low maintenance solution for greenhouse applications, especially in rural areas and for
small scale agriculturists
2. BLOCK DIAGRAM:
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
In this proposed step-by-step approach in designing the PIC microcontroller based system for
measurement and control of the four essential parameters for plant growth, i.e. temperature,
humidity, soil moisture, and light intensity, has been followed. The results obtained from the
measurement have shown that the system performance is quite reliable and accurate. The system
has successfully overcome quite a few shortcomings of the existing systems by reducing the
power consumption, maintenance and complexity, at the same time providing a flexible and
precise form of maintaining the environment.
