ABSTRACT
 Agriculture is done in every country from ages. Agriculture is the science and art of cultivating
plants. Agriculture was the key development in the rise of sedentary human civilization.
 As the world is trending into new technologies and implementations it is a necessary goal to
trend up with agriculture also.
 This smart agriculture using IOT system is powered by Arduino, it consists of Temperature
sensor, Moisture sensor, water level sensor, DC motor and GPRS module.
 Surveillancing the plant growth and biological infection by using surveillance camera. , to
reduce man work.

LITERATURE SURVEY
 An IOT Based Crop-field monitoring an irrigation automation system describes
how to monitor a crop field. A system is developed by using sensors and
according to the decision from a server based on sensed data, the irrigation.
 The system focuses on developing devices and tool to manage, display and
alert the users using the advantages of a wireless sensor network system. It
aims at making agriculture smart using automation and IoT technologies.
 By smart Agriculture monitoring system and one of the oldest ways in
agriculture is the manual method of checking the parameters. In this method
farmers by themselves verify all the parameter and calculate the reading

Solar panel
A solar panel is a flat
constructionresembling a window,built with
technology that allows it to passively
harvest the heat of the sun or create
electricity from it is energy through
photovoltaics.

5V DC SUPPLY
9
Soil Moisture sensor
 A device which is used to sense the moisture level in the sand is called soil
moisture sensor.
 When the sensor senses the water shortage in the field, the module output is
at high level else the output is at low level.
 This sensor reminds the user to water their plants and also monitors the
moisture content of soil. It has been widely used in agriculture, land irrigation
and botanical gardening
10
Temperature Sensor
 Temperature Sensor (DHT-11) is used to monitor temperature and humidity of the
atmosphere.
 The DHT-11 shown in Figure 3 is a basic ultra low cost digital temperature and
humidity sensor.
 It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air
and split out a digital signal on the data pin.
11
WATER LEVEL SENSOR
Level sensor are used to detect the level of substances that can
flow.such substances incude liquids, slurries, granular material and
powders.level measurements can be done inside containers or it can
be the level of a river or lake.
12
ARDUINO
 Is an open source electronics platform based on easy-to-
use hardware and software.
 Arduino uno is a Atme microcontroller board based on
the ATMEga328P (datasheet).
 it has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used
as PWM outputs ),6 analog inputs ,a 16 Mhz ceramic
resonator (CSTCE16MOV53-R0),a USB connection , a
power jack an ICSP header and a reset button.
13
DC FAN
 The direct current fans , or DC fans , are
powered with a potential of fixed value such
as the voltage oof a battery.
 Typical voltage values for DC fans are
5V,12V,24vand 48V.
 The alternating current fans ,or AC fans are
powered with a changing voltage of positive
and of equal negative value.

 A water pump can drain water from a basement or shallow
flooded areas , drain and fill a swimming pool or dam , or
alternatively can also be utilized in the irrigation needed for
agriculture.
 To get rid of excess water or transfer water between two
points.
WATER PUMP
15
DC MOTOR
 A DC motor is defined as a class of electrical motors that convert
direct current electrical energy into mechanical energy.
 Any electric motor that is operated using direct current or DC is
called a DC motor.
16
WIFI
MODULE
 Wi-Fi module is a self contained SOC with
integrated TCP/IP protocol stack that can give
any microcontroller access to your Wi-Fi
network.
17
GSM MODULE
 A GSM modem or GSM module is a device that uses GSM
mobile telephone technology to provide a wireless data
link to a network.
18
SURVEILLANCE CAMERA
 A digital video surveillance system is a
surveillance system capable images and
videos that can be compressed ,stored or sent
over communication networks.

EXIXTING SYSTEM
 This smart agriculture using IOT system is powered by Arduino, it consists of Temperature
sensor, Moisture sensor, water level sensor, DC motor and GPRS module.
 It will give outputs what we programmed to the Arduino , and message paased by the LCD
 Every messages of fixed programe has to be sending to the GSM and wifi connecting mobile
phone in our monitoring system.
23
PROPOSED SYSTEM
 Solar panel and Surveillancing the plant growth and biological infection by using
surveillance camera , to reduce man work.
 In this Arduino programmed camera can works by using program codes fromm IOT
based things.
 It will send the images , videos , and live telecast the plant growth and any biological
infection.
24
ADVANTAGES
 IT ALLOWS FARMERS TO MAXIMIZE YIELDS USING MINIMUM RESOURCES
SUCH AS WATER FERTILIZERS,SEEDS ETC..,
 SOLAR POWERED AND MOILE OPERATED PUMPS SAVE COST OF ELECTRICITY.
 SMART AGRICULTURE USE DRONES.
 IT IS COST EFFECTIVE METHOD.
 IT DELIVERS HIGH QUALITY CROP PRODUCTION
