resources are shared and made available to all
Support the effective development and assessment of graduate
skills:
1. A repository of resources and guides for educators.
2. Give any psych student the opportunity to take our graduate skills
measure and to get real-time feedback.
3. Provide staff with student data, so they can track their students for
T&L or research purposes.
4. Host a resource sharing tool that allows psych educators to share
resources and activities.

Assessing Graduate Psychology Skills
Course leaders can also use the Graduate Psychology Skills Questionnaire to
evaluate program learning objectives to inform curriculum enhancement.

  1. Key project outcome. Launch The Graduate Psychology Skills Australia website. Give conference delegates an advanced preview of the GPS Australia website which is designed to be an open resource for psychology students and educators.
  2. Website Purpose Slide – Overview of what the website does. Summarise what the website does: We created the website to assist staff with the implementation of curriculum design that fosters the development of graduate skills. We created the website to allow students to take the GPS-Q and get real-time feedback on their graduate skill development. We created the website to allow staff to track their students Graduate Psychology Skills development across a trimester, or across an entire course. We created the website to allow psychology educator to share resources and activities with one another. supporting the effective training, development, and assessment of students across core graduate skills that are highly valued in psychology. The website provides students with an opportunity to assess themselves and receive meaningful feedback in real-time using the Graduate Psychology Skills Questionnaire (GPS-Q). The website can facilitate psychology educators to implement and collect data using the GPS-Q for formative and summative assessment of individual students and entire cohorts. Moreover, course leaders can use the GPS-Q to evaluate program learning objectives to inform curriculum enhancement. The website provides analytic information regarding the GPS-Q, allowing educators and course leaders to assess students’ strengths, areas of improvement, and progress over-time. The website is also includes a repository of useful resources and advice on how to develop and implement curriculum that can assist undergraduate students to develop these skills. Specifically, the site provides academic staff, subject co-ordinators, year-level co-ordinators, course co-ordinators, and staff involved in teaching and learning with advice, downloadable guides and insights to inform the best practise and assessment regarding graduate psychology skills in Australia. can assist students to develop the research, analytical and interpersonal graduate skills necessary in the psychology profession.
  3. The public site – describe briefly the key functions of the public site. Many of you would have seen public website when registering for this conference. The purpose is to provide a public face for the project and to outline key information about the project. You’ll find some information on the project team After the conference we will add some highlights and we are recording some sessions - so we may add some of those there. The news section is where you will find updates regarding recent developments, activities and coming into the final stages of the conference we will be disseminating the outcomes of the GPS Australia Project via the news page. So, if you’re wondering about our recent developments this will be where we provide an overview and links etc. We also have a twitter feed on the homepage. So if you’re not following us on twitter (and please do @GradPsychSkills) you can see our recent tweets via our website. About GPS is the project information –next slide.
