Problem Statement:
-Medical technology business owner with
specialized skill needs and little time to
train needs a way to hire graduates with
experience because investing in years of
training after student graduation is not
practical.

Two Ideas Prototyped
1.) "College to require students to perform work study before graduating."
• Work programs in addition to study only degree programs will enable students to
experience professional work environments and unstructured problems firsthand prior
to graduation. The students will have a good sense of difficulties of real work
problems and challenges that do not always have defined solutions that can be
analyzed and studied. Students will also learn skills that managers and those
controlling budgets and businesses require in terms of communication, motivation,
innovation, and developing business value.
2.) "Require students to complete residency program and specialized skills
fellowship-like program after all undergraduate work."
• Medical training programs afford future doctors the ability to work in a real hospital
setting, treating real patients, and learning directly from real staff physicians and not
career academic instructors. New doctors have the clinical and personal skills needed
to excel in their chosen medical specialty. And they also must have the academic
knowledge to pass all required licensing exams. Other professions do not prepare
students to this level and the model used for physical training could be directly
applied to other degree programs as well to potentially solve the problem statement
as I have outlined it in this exercise.

  • 1. Ideate Prototype and Test George Moser Problem Statement: -Medical technology business owner with specialized skill needs and little time to train needs a way to hire graduates with experience because investing in years of training after student graduation is not practical.

"College to require students to perform work study before graduating." • Work programs in addition to study only degree programs will enable students to experience professional work environments and unstructured problems firsthand prior to graduation. The students will have a good sense of difficulties of real work problems and challenges that do not always have defined solutions that can be analyzed and studied. Students will also learn skills that managers and those controlling budgets and businesses require in terms of communication, motivation, innovation, and developing business value. 2.) "Require students to complete residency program and specialized skills fellowship-like program after all undergraduate work." • Medical training programs afford future doctors the ability to work in a real hospital setting, treating real patients, and learning directly from real staff physicians and not career academic instructors. New doctors have the clinical and personal skills needed to excel in their chosen medical specialty. And they also must have the academic knowledge to pass all required licensing exams. Other professions do not prepare students to this level and the model used for physical training could be directly applied to other degree programs as well to potentially solve the problem statement as I have outlined it in this exercise.
