Google Analytics(GA) is a service offered by Google
that generates detailed statistics about a website's
traffic and traffic sources. It's the most widely used
website statistics service.

Sessions are a group of
interactions that take place
on your website within a
given time frame. Could be
on a laptop, phone, or
tablet.
Users are how many
users viewed or
interacted with your
content within a specific
date range.

Provides a general
indication of how
popular your website is.
It is a great metric to
understand your
website growth over
time.
A leading indicator of
how many leads you
could possibly generate
from your website.
Rough indication of
how many have
viewed your brand.

users spend on your
site, the more
exposure your brand
will receive.
Engagement metric
that indicates what
percentage of your
visitors are diving
deeper into your
website.
A low bounce rate means…
• Attracting the right kind of audience
• Clicking through to your other pages of content
• Higher chance they’ll convert into a lead
A high bounce rate means…
• Visitors aren’t finding what they’re looking for
• Are not clicking through to any of your other pages
• Much lower conversion rates
• They’re leaving immediately

Has a GA Been Added to My Website?
o Open up your browser and type in your web address to view
your website
o Right click on the mouse
o From the popup menu select “View Page Source”
o This page will show you the code for the website
o On your keyboard for a PC click “CTRL” & “F” at the same
time.
o Or on your keyboard for a Mac click “Command” & “F” at the
same time.
o Locate the Find bar that has appeared on your screen.
o Type in to search for “google-analytics”.
o If this appears in the middle of the screen within the code,
then GA has been added. Recommend you reach out to your
webmaster to learn the credentials for the account.
o If this does not appears in the middle of the screen with all
the code, then GA has not yet been added.

o Locate “Tracking Info” in GA account
o Highlight the Tracking ID# or code (depending
what your webmaster is asking for) from the
Analytics account
o Copy the text
o Paste the text into the designated area in the
backend webmaster
o GA Tracking will begin automatically

Has a GA Been Added to My Website? o Open up your browser and type in your web address to view your website o Right click on the mouse o From the popup menu select “View Page Source” o This page will show you the code for the website o On your keyboard for a PC click “CTRL” & “F” at the same time. o Or on your keyboard for a Mac click “Command” & “F” at the same time. o Locate the Find bar that has appeared on your screen. o Type in to search for “google-analytics”. o If this appears in the middle of the screen within the code, then GA has been added. Recommend you reach out to your webmaster to learn the credentials for the account. o If this does not appears in the middle of the screen with all the code, then GA has not yet been added.
  • 16. o Locate “Tracking Info” in GA account o Highlight the Tracking ID# or code (depending what your webmaster is asking for) from the Analytics account o Copy the text o Paste the text into the designated area in the backend webmaster o GA Tracking will begin automatically Adding a Tracking Code
