Occupational Health & Safety Management System of ISO 45001 has the latest standard released in the year 2018. Around the world, major lives and living is lost because of occupational injuries. With so much of accidents & injuries, it is every organisation's responsibility to adopt the best practices of ISO 45001:2018. There is so much of activity that goes on with any company that they need to become responsible and identify the hazards that have risks to health & safety. (OSH)
By adopting best practices of ISO 45001:2018, organisations can improve their productivity by reducing loss time on account of injuries. With ever growing cost of healthcare, it is so important for every company to take all possible steps in eliminating health & safety risks.
Risk analysis (as per ISO 31000) will help organisation's to take steps to mitigate adverse HSE Risks. ISO 45001 2018 training is conducted by Productivity Management Group including Internal Auditor training of ISO 45001 2018.

Small to mid-sized firms have a variety of safety-related challenges and priorities to address. The safety function is typically assumed by someone from Human Resources, Facilities, Finance, and/or Operations. We are not attempting to make anyone an expert in any of these areas; rather, we aim to provide a general guide to what key safety priorities to focus on, given limited time and capital resources.

Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

Terzaghi's soil bearing capacity theory, developed by Karl Terzaghi, is a fundamental principle in geotechnical engineering used to determine the bearing capacity of shallow foundations. This theory provides a method to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of soil, which is the maximum load per unit area that the soil can support without undergoing shear failure. 2. What is good governance?
The collection, organisation and upkeep
of the policies, procedures, requirements,

Creating safety.

6. Tracking performance by accident statistics
does not equate managing safety.
Accident statistics are lagging indicators –
they are too late to prevent the accident,
but we can see what happened with
hindsight.
7. Q. How do we turn hindsight into

from happening in the first place?

02
Reporting

on performance concerns raised
by assurance activities.

Informing leadership of performance
11. Assurance
There are a range of activities that need to be reviewed to determine what we do, and
identify good practices to share and embed, as well as areas of concern to rectify.
To be effective, organisational assurance should be driven at a range of levels to reflect the
business hierarchy and structure.
Levels
1. External / independent
2. Systems level
3. Departmental level
4. Work activity level
5. Contractor / interface level
ActivitiesAssurance
1. Audits
2. Reviews
3. Site inspections
4. Leadership visits
5. Performance against plan
12. Reporting should be:
A combination of leading and lagging indicators.
Consistent information from all parts of the
organisation.
Genuinely useful information that decisions can be
based on.
Easily understood and interpreted.
13. Lagging and leading indicators
They should be specific to objectives and take into account
the health and safety risk profile.
1. Number of injuries or illnesses
2. Absence rates due to sickness
3. Number of exposure incidents
4. Notifiable incidents or events
5. Contractor injuries, illnesses or events
1. Number of audits or inspections completed
2. Timeframe to close corrective actions
3. Training completed
4. Number of near miss incidents reported
5. Preventative maintenance completed
6. H&S Committee meetings
7. Safety conversations completed
Lagging indicator examples Leading indicator examples
14. Reporting pitfalls
Acting on headline data only – this
should be a starting point for enquiry,
not a cue for a knee jerk reaction
A single incident should not drive the
organisation's full focus – it should be a
range of organisation ‘symptoms’
15. How to report properly?
1. Review organisational objectives for
health and safety
2. Develop appropriate indicator set:
a) Risk areas
b) Work scopes
c) Practicality
3. Develop reporting format and approach
4. Monitor results
