Golden scorpions are small arachnids found in Africa and tropical habitats. They eat insects, spiders, other scorpions, and small lizards and mammals, catching prey with their pincers. Golden scorpions have a golden exoskeleton, eight legs, and a venomous stinger on their tail. They reproduce through a conquering dance ritual and lay eggs, though some species can reproduce asexually. Their venom contains a neurotoxin called maurotoxine.
