Globalization is influencing education systems around the world. In Russia, a state exam was introduced in 2005 as an experimental step towards standardizing assessments and making the education system more compatible internationally. Officials argue this will ease the transition to university and make the assessment of students' knowledge more objective and less prone to corruption. Russia has also signed the Bologna Declaration with other European countries to establish common standards and a shared higher education area across the continent. However, Russian education also faces challenges in integrating fully with globalized systems, such as disparities between academic centers and other regions of the country, as well as cultural and language barriers.

An action plan to raise awareness and encourage the reevaluation of our cultural trend towards violence. We have focused on women for certain portions of the project because they bear the brunt of societal anger and confusion to an incredible degree. This epidemic of hatred and violence towards women reaches across all spheres of culture but our project highlights only a few.
Experiencing tough history and indigence after war, investing in and training human resources became a
priority task for the government. Education has thus been key in the reconstruction and growth of the
country. While Korea quickly attained high level of enrollment and performance, this success didn’t come
without drawbacks. The intense competition in education gradually led to seriously jeopardize student’s well-being. In this context, this presentation will assess and diagnose the strength and weakness of the Korean education system and provide recommendations focusing on the following question: How can Korea combine outstanding academic performance with students’ well-being?

An article review: Placing teachers in global governance agendaIwan Syahril
All governing practices are pedagogical because they involve the selective acquisition of particular knowledge and practices. Since the turn of the century global organizations are increasingly becoming very influential pedagogic agencies because they shape teachers' pedagogic practices in national education settings.
The article reveals data from a questionnaire of 16-17 year old Russian pupils about their experience of managing free time and using educational choice in the school. China's education system today ranks first in the PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) that evaluates the performance of students less than 15 years of age in mathematics, science and reading. China's rise to first place in the PISA meant the fall of Finland that led this ranking. To achieve leadership in PISA, there was a great investment by the Chinese government in improving the physical and human structures as part of the necessary reform in pursuit of improved quality in education. Investment in teachers was the main impulse to accomplish this.
A comprehensive approach to investigating the social dimension in European hi...Dominic Orr
Whilst the social dimension has been a main focus for the Bologna Process, at least since it was expressly defined as objective for the European Higher Education Area in 2007, it has been difficult to translate it into a manageable policy agenda. As recently stated in an analysis of this policy: “the social dimension is a policy item that found a way into the Bologna Process agenda, but could not grow into an implementable policy” (Yagci, 2014). Using findings from surveys of students from the EUROSTUDENT project and the analyses of policy interventions within higher education systems carried out as part of the project Peer Learning for the Social Dimension (PL4SD), the authors of this contribution have tried to seek solutions to this quandary of inaction by taking a different approach.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL, ESL) is an attractive professional choice, with increasingly varied career and research options. Since the early 1960s, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) has gradually become one of its prominent areas, with various sub-fields gaining recognition and being subject of (interdisciplinary) research ranging from applied linguistics and communication to psycho- and sociolinguistics and intercultural studies. The provisions for the study of foreign languages, particularly English, in Romanian higher education, have followed closely or even preceded the developments needed to adjust to the changes affecting economy, society and education in the aftermath of the historical events in 1989 and the country’s admission in the European Union (2007).
The current paper describes the case of ESP in Babes-Bolyai University, by tracing its beginnings and coming of age and presenting the challenges raised by current issues of student internalisation, academic study/communication needs and the new perspectives growing from the emerging paradigm of lifelong learning and the integration of Information and Communication Technologies. The author’s personal experience in implementing a blended learning environment for teaching ESP is used to highlight the benefits and the challenges encountered in the process as well as directions for future developments. Finally, based on the view that ESP is a work-in-progress, founded on the continuous analysis of needs, means and institutional and cultural contexts, a curricular and research proposal is made that includes solutions for the development of learning skills needed in academic study, continuous language learning and lifelong learning.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Globalization and education
1.
2. Globalization in education
• Globalization influences all spheres of
our life:
education, culture, business, trade, politi
cs, environment and even our mentality.
It connects different countries and
nations, makes their cooperation easier.
It makes everything and everyone similar
or even identical.
4. Russia was not an exception and in
2005 Russia’s State Exam was
introduced as an experimental step
before making it compulsory
• The introduction of Russia’s State exam
as the only way to assess the knowledge
of Russian pupils who are leaving
schools has become one of the most
controversial issue recently
5. The reason of globalization in the
sphere of education
1) The idea of such a novelty is to ease the life of
the school leavers giving them an opportunity to pass
school leaving exams and university entrance exams
having just taken Russia’s State exam in certain
subjects. The officials claim that such a system exists
in most developed countries and Russia, being a part
of the global system (or at least preparing to be such a
part), should introduce similar objective methods in
assessing the knowledge of school leavers.
2)Another objective is to reduce corruption since
the test is supposed to be checked by independent
experts and computers.
6.
7. Russia is a member of Bologna
declaration that was signed by 29
European countries. The purpose of it is
to create a single European higher
education area by making academic
degree standards and quality assurance
standards more comparable and
compatible throughout Europe.
8. Some differences of
Russian education
1) The problem of the core and the periphery.
This problem doesn’t exist in US. Historically,
the intellectual potential of Russian education
was concentrated in the leading Moscow
Universities. The creation of scientific,
educational centers in Russia requires money
and time. It’s more prestigious to study in
Moscow and Saint-Petersburg Universities.
Schools are larger and more expensive, of
course.
2) The problem of shift toward two-level
education (bachelor and master). We don’t have
such a system. We have 5 years in University
after which we get a specialist diploma that
gives us opportunities to get practically any
kind of job (I mean the rank). You can be a
minister having a specialist diploma.
3) The immobility of professors. In Russia, as a
rule, one teacher belongs to one university. It
has its advantage because it creates
commitment and scientific basis in school. But
on the other hand, it limits professional
contacts
4) The problem of language barriers. Students
are taught translation techniques but are not
really able to communicate when they find
themselves in language environment.
9. Russian education has always been one of the best education systems
and Russian professionals are working all over the world. So,
globalization in Russian education might be seen as integration into
international education and also as a starting point of destroying
national educational system
