The Great India Place is a 1,500,000 square foot shopping mall located in Noida, India. It was developed by Andre Birlokar and is one of the largest malls in India. The mall features three circular atriums connecting long shopping corridors, escalators, a food court, multiplex, recreational areas, department stores, and a supermarket. Fire safety features, facilities for disabled access, and hard and soft landscaping are also included.

The Great India Place is a shopping mall in Noida , India. With an
area of 1,500,000-square-foot (139,400 m2), it is one of the
largest operational malls in India

In summer, i.e. from March to June, the weather remains
hot and temperature ranges from maximum of 48°C to
minimum of 28°C.
Monsoon season prevails during mid June to mid
September.
The cold waves from the Himalayan region makes the
winters in Noida chilly and harsh. Temperatures fall down
to as low as 3 to 4°C at the peak of winters. Noida also has
fog and smog problems. In January, a dense fog envelopes
the city, reducing visibility on the streets




The elongated form of the block has been
deliberately punctured with the introduction of
three interconnecting circular atriums which
act as crossing junction for the long shopping
corridors.
Escalators and Skywalks at regular intervals
provide connectivity as well as flow to the
expansion shopping corridors.
Using interesting flooring patterns and
animated lighting at the ground floor level, an
exciting environment is created throughout.

Pillars are covered with metal sheets.
Teen sheds resting on trusses.

18. The mall is divided into specific zones with :
 Home and grocery on the basement level
 Women’s apparel on one side, men’s on the
other.
 Food and entertainment zone on the top floor.
 A 6-screen BIG cinemas multiplex having total
seating capacity of 1220 seats.
 There is also and 850 sq ft (79 sq m).zone
dedicated to a wedding bazaar.
 A home saaz section for home improvement.
 A large chunk of the mall’s total area is covered
by future group ventures , including home town ,
big bazaar and pantaloons.

Glazing are provided on each
atrium for better natural

23. NEGATIVE POINTS:
 The food court and the entertainment
zone were very congested.
 The view of the building cannot be
captured in just one click
 The building was very close to the
main road
 The landscape was not treated
properly.
