• One of the aspects of a Contributor’s Mindset is 
the Contributor’s approach to work. 
They get involved. 
They are enthusiastic. 
They go deep into the subject. 
• In short, Contributors love what they do.
COMPARISON 
I. Non-contributors give up easily when they have 
to go deeper into the subject 
• They want to memorize or follow the procedure 
• Don’t want to struggle even a little.
• Contributors take up an idea and work deeply 
with that idea to make it a reality in their lives 
• They are willing to: 
Be able to find new answers 
Discover new ways of doing things 
Transform myself in the process.
II. Non-contributors often focus on “completing the 
task” even if the quality of work is poor. They have 
a “chalta hai” attitude 
Don’t care if 
• There are errors 
• The output is of poor quality 
• If it collapses later or customer is unhappy.
 Poor quality of

 Negatively 
affects the 
customers.
• Contributors seek to create “high quality” 
products. They care about what they have 
produced.

III. Non-contributors do not commit themselves to 
the success of a project 
• Don’t want to give up some of their comforts. 
• Unwilling to make any sacrifices
• Contributors commit themselves to the success of 
a project 
They go deep and get into the details 
Willing to make adjustments
IV. Non-contributors often respond to work with 
“emotional dis-engagement” 
• Hate struggling for a solution 
• Find work boring 
• Don’t like their work 
• Can’t maintain focus 
• Appear uninterested 
• Easily distracted
• Contributors respond to work with “emotional 
engagement”

Interested in their work 
Committed to achieving purpose of their work

• The history of the Manhattan Project.

  • 2. • One of the aspects of a Contributor’s Mindset is the Contributor’s approach to work. They get involved. They are enthusiastic. They go deep into the subject. • In short, Contributors love what they do.
  • 3. COMPARISON I. Non-contributors give up easily when they have to go deeper into the subject • They want to memorize or follow the procedure • Don’t want to struggle even a little.
  • 4. • Contributors take up an idea and work deeply with that idea to make it a reality in their lives • They are willing to: Be able to find new answers Discover new ways of doing things Transform myself in the process.
  • 5. II. Non-contributors often focus on “completing the task” even if the quality of work is poor. They have a “chalta hai” attitude Don’t care if • There are errors • The output is of poor quality • If it collapses later or customer is unhappy.
  • 6.  Poor quality of work.  Negatively affects the customers.
  • 7. • Contributors seek to create “high quality” products. They care about what they have produced. Product shows personality. They care about the quality and usefulness of their product. They want to do a great job. They respect their work.

  • 9. III. Non-contributors do not commit themselves to the success of a project • Don’t want to give up some of their comforts. • Unwilling to make any sacrifices

  • 11. IV. Non-contributors often respond to work with “emotional dis-engagement” • Hate struggling for a solution • Find work boring • Don’t like their work • Can’t maintain focus • Appear uninterested • Easily distracted
