Swami Vivekanand’s message to the
youth of the nation.
Swami Vivekanand on youth
 “Youth is that wonderful time in life when energy is limitless, human
creativity at its best and ‘never say die’ spirit at its peak”.
On India
 Rich and Prosperous  Poor and Unpromising
Good News
 Nearly 78% of our country’s population is less than 40 years.
Challenge!
 Most of us have icons and role models that are mostly from economics,
techonology, music ,cinema, sports arena!
 How to indulge this youth into social activities?
 How to get them to address the myraid problem facing us?
Vivekanand’s perception
 The only qualification that swamiji wanted our youth to have was
this wonderful ability ‘to feel’.
 He gave a mantra with 3 P’s
- Purity
- Perseverance
- Patience
WARNING:
“All good work has to go through three
stages:Ridicule,Opposition,Acceptance”.
Something Important
 One needs to begin with oneself and then gradually expand this reach
concentrically to include more and more deserving people.
“We don’t expect a revolution,
but (something)n=a lot of things!”
Thankyou
