This document provides guidelines for designing a chemistry experiment to investigate the effect of changing one variable on another. It specifies that the experiment must: 1) Identify a research question involving an independent and dependent variable. 2) Describe the method for controlling and measuring these variables using bullet points and enough detail that another scientist could repeat it. 3) Target collecting data from 5 trials, with each trial repeated in triplicate, to minimize random errors. The method should also avoid issues that could prevent collecting relevant data.
