The Utah Department of Health was awarded a grant to address postpartum hemorrhaging, the third leading cause of maternal mortality in Utah. The grant was used to expand the maternal mortality review committee and implement the OB Hemorrhage Safety Bundle in Utah hospitals. The department utilized the Project ECHO model to hold bi-monthly learning sessions on safety bundle components with over 50% of delivering hospitals statewide. This allowed for interactive learning among hospitals and helped improve knowledge, training, and outcomes for postpartum hemorrhaging.

Global Healthcare Innovation: A Framework for Implementation
As populations increase, health resources shrink, and access and quality of life equity differences widen, the clarion call for innovation in healthcare is growing louder around the world. Both international groups such as the World Health Organization and national groups, e.g., ministry of health, continue to set aggressive goals and billions have been spent to design and implement global health innovations.
Many global health innovations (GHI) have set high goals but had limited success in implementation or never scaled to serve a wider population. The barriers to implementing global healthcare innovations include policies or political priorities, lack of commitment, limited infrastructure, and limited healthcare staff. Some health entrepreneurs have overcome such barriers; Yet other, well intentioned and planned GHI have not met expectations.
Although some articles provide suggestions for avoiding, overcoming and addressing these barriers, few offer new models for global health innovation. In this research, we offer a four component model that considers the adoptive community, implementation team, the delivery strategy and the delivery approach as key enablers for successful GHI. This model is supported by the literature and in-depth case studies in Uganda, Ghana, Mozambique, and Haiti.

Global Healthcare Innovation: A Framework for Implementation
As populations increase, health resources shrink, and access and quality of life equity differences widen, the clarion call for innovation in healthcare is growing louder around the world. Both international groups such as the World Health Organization and national groups, e.g., ministry of health, continue to set aggressive goals and billions have been spent to design and implement global health innovations.
Many global health innovations (GHI) have set high goals but had limited success in implementation or never scaled to serve a wider population. The barriers to implementing global healthcare innovations include policies or political priorities, lack of commitment, limited infrastructure, and limited healthcare staff. Some health entrepreneurs have overcome such barriers; Yet other, well intentioned and planned GHI have not met expectations.
Although some articles provide suggestions for avoiding, overcoming and addressing these barriers, few offer new models for global health innovation. In this research, we offer a four component model that considers the adoptive community, implementation team, the delivery strategy and the delivery approach as key enablers for successful GHI. This model is supported by the literature and in-depth case studies in Uganda, Ghana, Mozambique, and Haiti.
Knowledge Transfer & Exchange

Physical inactivity is the fourth leading cause of death worldwide. We summarise present global eff orts to counteract
this problem and point the way forward to address the pandemic of physical inactivity. Although evidence for the
benefi ts of physical activity for health has been available since the 1950s, promotion to improve the health of populations
has lagged in relation to the available evidence and has only recently developed an identifi able infrastructure, including
eff orts in planning, policy, leadership and advocacy, workforce training and development, and monitoring and
surveillance. The reasons for this late start are myriad, multifactorial, and complex. This infrastructure should continue
to be formed, intersectoral approaches are essential to advance, and advocacy remains a key pillar. Although there is a
need to build global capacity based on the present foundations, a systems approach that focuses on populations and
the complex interactions among the correlates of physical inactivity, rather than solely a behavioural science approach
focusing on individuals, is the way forward to increase physical activity worldwide.
The pandemic of physical inactivity should be a
public health priority
Theoretically, prioritisation for public health action is
informed largely by three factors: the prevalence and
trends of a health disorder; the magnitude of the risk
associated with exposure to that disorder; and evidence
for eff ective prevention and control. A practice or
behaviour that is clearly related to a health disorder, is
prevalent, and is static or increasing in its prevalence
should be a primary target for public health policy for
disease prevention and health promotion. Too often,
however, the inertia of tradition, pressure .

Community ophthalmology aims to provide comprehensive eye health care through public health approaches like epidemiology, health promotion, and primary eye care. It focuses on preventive, curative, and promotive community-based activities. Key aspects include epidemiological studies of eye diseases, policy and planning, management information systems, monitoring and evaluation, environmental eye health, economics of eye care, behavioral sciences, biostatistics, and project management.
