Describe what you observed in section 3 of the dish. Questions: A. Explain what is meant by memory
as a characteristic of the immune response. a. B. How does our immune response distinguish between
our own cells and foreign invaders? a. This function is mediated by T cells and B cells (memory cells)
in our body via adaptive immunity. The adaptive immune system evolved in early vertebrates and
allows for a stronger immune response as well as immunological memory, where each pathogen is
remembered by a signature antigen. The adaptive immune response is antigen specific and requires the
recognition of specific non self antigens during a process called antigen presentation. Antigen
specificity allows for the generation of responses that are tailored to specific pathogens or pathogen
infected cells. The ability to mount these tailored responses is maintained in the body by memory
cells. Should a pathogen infect the body more than once, these specific memory cells are used to
quickly eliminate it. So basically killer T cells will identify antigens present on foreign cells. These
antigens are not found in any of the cells inside our body. Therefore, T cells will identify them and kill
them. C. What are lymphocytes and where are they produced? a. Lymphocytes are a type of white
blood cell, which are an important part of the immune system. Lymphocytes can defend the body

Biography Of Whitney Fryer
Whitney Fryer, 19, slipped into a state of sleep deprivation late Monday night and passed away early
Tuesday morning. Official cause of death, caffeine overdose. The culprit, a vanilla latte.
Besides her inability to pass up a cup of coffee, Fryer could never say no to a good novel or a political
debate. On any given day, she could often be found debating the latest in politics. Her other interests
included dance, writing, and spending quality time with those closest to her.
Fryer, originally from Hartford, South Dakota, was raised in Sioux Falls, SD where she graduated
from Roosevelt High School in 2014. In high school, Fryer was quiet and reserved, however, it was
through her writing she found her voice. A voice that was never afraid to speak the truth; Fryer always

Examples Of Andrew Jackson Evil
Andrew Jackson had a plethora of innumerable downs and ups throughout his life and presidency like
saving a Native American child and also the cause of an assassination of a tribe of Native Americans. I
do believe that the actions throughout his life have lead me to come to the conclusion that he is a
villian. However, many do believe that all the goods actions Jackson did overweigh the villainous
deeds. The examples of Jackson s evil and criminal deeds he did are as follows. Jackson to the people
was considered a self centered, hostile, and uncaring person. A certain event when Jackson was hostile
was when he decided to assassinate a whole tribe of Native Americans. Jackson decided to be
uncaring by thinking that the government was corrupt ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jackson was self centered by not listening to his advisors. He would make decisions by what he
thought was best for the people and the state. These examples are just a small piece of Jackson s evil
ways. Jackson did a multitude of evil things, but the ones that we remembered are how he decided to
treat and handle the Indians, his decision to make the spoil system, and how he was self centered.
When handling the Indians, Jackson was very cruel. He despised the Indians so much he made an act
called the Indian Removal Act. Which forced the Indians to leave the entire country. He told them that
they would be removed either willingly or by force. The Indians decided not to leave. So he told
soldiers to capture them so they could be removed by force. This lead to the crisis of the Trail Of
Tears. Along the way of the trail 4,000 died from the hostile and horrible conditions of disease and
exhaustion. Also, he had wooden structures that were made for the Indians to stay in. These structures
were unhealthy and unsanitary. There were no doors or windows. So the cold air would blow into the
houses and cause people to become sick and die. One of Jackson s soldiers said this This is the
cruelest work I have ever done. Jackson s was a big

Summary Of Margret In Shakespeare s Richard III
William Shakespeare s Richard III is a political work of genius of its time, the way Shakespeare can
propagate the tutor dynasty and retell the history of his state in such a compelling way is quite
remarkable. The work centralizes itself around the inner workings of the royal court just after the war
of the roses and prior to the uprising of the tutor dynasty. The character of Richard III is both
protagonist and antagonist in the work, however throughout this paper, we will be commenting on the
connections found between the character of Margaret and certain themes in the production. More
specifically, how she is used as a device in conveying the themes of Corruption, the implementation of
the Supernatural, and the anger and rage found in her (and others) text.
To properly comment on the character of Margret found in the works of William Shakespeare (and the
themes she aids in conveying) one must first completely comprehend the history of the true Margret of
Anjou. Understanding a short history of the character s origins will aid in the discussion.
A History
Born March 23rd, 1430 Margret of Anjou lived a considerably quiet life with her aristocratic family in
France until the age of 12, the age to marry. As most young woman of that age, Margrett was then
used as a political tool by her father, The Duke Rene. The bidding and marrying of daughters was the
standard for women of the court throughout the 1400 s. As Bullough and Campbell state in their

A Child s Purity: Further from Death, but Closer to Heaven.
Throughout the recorded history of the Christian religion, countless writings, both canonical and non
canonical, have been discovered and translated. As is the issue with most religious texts, scholars
fiercely engage each other s interpretations and opinions regarding these texts. The Gospel of Thomas
is no different. Considered Gnostic by some and canon by others, the Gospel of Thomas is a collection
of sayings that were spoken by the living Jesus, and recorded by Didymos Judas Thomas. Throughout
the length of the text, there are a number of common themes; the most notable being the idea that the
people look to Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satiating the lust of the flesh is frowned heavily upon in most religions. Because Adam and Eve gave
into this temptation, all humans are born with some semblance of the original sin. However, the blank
slate nature of a child is as close to perfect as one can hope to be. Many of Jesus s sayings in the
Gospel of Thomas suggest that children, babies in particular, have everything they need to be almost
perfect; for they are born with that of the light of the Father, and therefore hold some divinity (Litwa,
2015). Jesus tells his disciples that circumcision is not useful, for if it was, the Father would have
made babies circumcised. Jesus says congratulations to the poor and the meek, for the Heaven s
Kingdom shall belong to them. A child a baby is nothing if it is not poor and meek. A child has done
nothing, earned nothing, and truly cannot be anything other than poor, and meek. It is with age, and
sin, that a child loses their sight of the path to Heaven. At several points in the text, Jesus talks about
the intrinsic war between father and son, and the necessary hatred for one s parents. It is entirely
possible that Jesus could be describing the struggle that a good child faces in attempting to separate
themselves from their parents, who have become old and deep in sin. Jesus speaks of an anecdote
about a slave being unable to sever two masters, for he would be

Essay On Costs Too Much Money
In this day and age, almost everything costs money. If you want to go out and do something
entertaining, it can be expensive. Tell City is a pretty boring town, and there is not really much to do
here. However, you can have fun for cheap if you know where to go. We have a movie theater,
restaurants, hiking trails, and plenty of grocery stores around town that you can go to to find snacks
and meals to prepare. Many people that live here complain that they never have anything to do. People
also complain that anything we can do costs too much money. Taking a girl out on a date is almost

Prices for movies are great; regular showtimes for children three to twelve is six dollars, adults

which are movies that start before six p.m., are six dollars. There is also a special for fireman,
policeman, and military who have their ID s, their movie tickets are six dollars. Concessions are
always expensive at movie theaters, but ours is cheaper than most. There are four different movies
playing at any given time. Cinema 66 is also doing a Christmas special, with Elf playing on December
21st and The Polar Express playing on December 28th. The best part about this Christmas deal is that
both movies are free for anyone to come and watch! This is a perfect date for cheap, and one thing that
I would recommend doing. If you really want a cheap but fun night, having a movie night would be a
very good idea. We have Redbox that you can rent movies from for $1.50 a day. The Redbox has a
great variety of movies, and it iz usually stocked pretty well with favorable movies. The Redbox s

more convenient source for movies is Netflix, it is $7.99 a month and it has great movies and
television shows. Movie nights and Netflix binge watching is

How Does Tacitus Describe The Culture Of The German
The Germania written by Tacitus served as an ethnography of Germans that lived in the lands beyond
Roman control. Tacitus goes through every aspect of culture and in some cases compares Germans to
Romans. He describes German culture as a whole in the first half of the reading, then moves on to
discuss each individual tribe and their customs. Tacitus defines race in very broad sense, drawn from
how he depicts Germans in contrast to Romans. We see that geography and culture play a large role,
although they differ slightly from tribe to tribe, many maintain similar customs. Through the
Germania, we see that Tacitus differentiates race on the basis of physical appearance, lifestyle, and
regard for women. One of the more obvious indications of racial difference, is seen through physical
characteristics. Tacitus praises in the fact that their bloodlines are so pure due to the fact they never
intermarried with outsiders, He goes on to say that the lack of immigrants to Germany may be due to
the fact that land there is undesirable to live on, and so immigration to Germany was ostensibly
unheard of. The physical features Tacitus accredits to Germans are: fierce blue eyes, red hair, and large
frames (4). Another aspect he finds uniform for Germans are their clothes, they ... Show more content

Germans held women in high regard, Tacitus uses this to further distinguish Germans as their own
race. Tacitus creates this distinction on numerous occasions: Germans give women credit for certain
inspiration and power of prophecy (8), they are content with one wife (18), the husband offers dowry
to his wife (18), and Captivity for their women is something that men hate, even more then if it was
themselves (8). Germans differed from Romans in terms of marriage by having the woman becomes
the man s partner in toils and dangers, (18) this sounds like equality between a man and women, to be
partners and to have that

Examples Of Community Assessment
Community Assessment
The community that I live in is an urban environment. I live in Rochester, New York, which is

some activities are the neighborhood watch team, volunteer opportunities at local schools, recreation

address the funding situation is to have a fundraiser to raise money and bring awareness to the

religion that people will turn away from their sins and do better in life. Business and property owners
do not spend a lot of their time in Rochester or even keeping up their property in Rochester. Business
and property owners spend most of their time and money in other community s. Most business and
property owners own property in Rochester and multiple other community s. I have never came across
any business person or propty management who only has a business I the community. The reason that
they have several business is because a person could not live off of the money that they would bring in
if they only had business in my community. There are not a lot of resources so resident spend their
money in other community s that have the resources that they need. Most resident are on social
services such as section 8 and other welfare services. We do not have an headquarters for social
services in my community it is in Pittsford, which is thirty eight miles away from my community.
Most residents do not drive, so in order to get to the headquarters residents would have to get on fours
buses just to get to the office. Larger institutions and community organization profit in the community.
McDonald and Burger king always have business in their stores. Community organizations are not
after money, but they are after volunteers. Most people that volunteer do not live in the community,

The Lady With The Pet Dog Chekhov
One of the sweet comforts in life is to curl up in a favorite chair with a short story that will briefly
carry people away from their everyday lives. On rare occasions, a tale mirrors real life in such a way
that one is strangely comforted by the normalcy reflected in the words. A perfect example of a story
about ordinary life that will soothe the soul in search for some insight on understanding the human
behavior is Anton Chekhov s The Lady with the Pet Dog. This style of writing has such a mass appeal
because the characters wear recognizable social masks and reflect an everyday reality. In his simple

After becoming acquainted, Anna and Gurov walked and talked of the strange light on the sea: the
water was a soft, warm, lilac color and there was a golden band of moonlight upon it (Chekov 507).
Later, when he is alone in his hotel room, Gurov reflects on her slim, delicate throat, her lovely gray
eyes (Chekov 507) and his thoughts reveal that he has determined this young, vulnerable woman to be
an ideal candidate for another one of his many affairs that he just cannot help becoming involved in.
And as the story unfolds, the color gray reveals itself as an integral component in the sort of

when things are heating up between the two lonely travelers, so is the weather, which was close

aspects to the plot that can be defined as the actions that led up to Eddie s death. In this paragraph, it

The following deterioration started with the Stamp Act in 1765, an Act of the Parliament of Great
Britain, which imposed a minor taxation of official seals and stamps, legal documents and newspapers
for its main purpose of generating a suffice amount of revenue to compensate for the expensive Seven
Years War. But, the British Parliament took advantage of the inaugurated act and decided to tax the
colonists without their authorization. This unauthorized act resulted in the colonists opposition and
argument that they are being forcibly taxed without representation, which later led to the sentiment of

The Old Saying “Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder” Has
The old saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder has always been the ideal of what society believes
beauty to be; versatile and able to be interpreted as anyone likes because it is something that is unique
to every person s own taste. This sentiment, as true as it may seem, is just an illusion. Oxford
Dictionaries may define beauty as a combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form, that
pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight , which seems vague enough to be interpreted any
way someone wishes, yet society has been imposing strict standards onto what is deemed beautiful for
centuries. It is these mass opinions that then culminate in what is widely viewed as what real beauty

certain way, and because of that they are deemed ugly or hideous by those around them, and those
burdens weigh them down. They could weigh them down so much in fact that they decide that all else

The data above proves both our hypothesis and prediction wrong. We hypothesized that the lemon
green tea would inhibit the growth of bacteria more than green tea. This is because along with having
catechins from the green tea, which interfere with bacterial membrane processes, the lemon green tea
had flavonoids from the lemon, which alter enzyme activity, and a low pH, inhibiting acid tolerance
and the formation of bacterial biofilm. In both of tests, the green tea solution created a larger zone of

Persuasive Essay On Owning A House
In this day and age, we are advancing and changing the traditional routines past generation set for us.
Today millennials are trying different turns in the workforce, not starting at the bottom to the top.
Because of this empowerment, some get the dream job they work so hard for all the while being in
school. With this some say they feel entitled; some say they know their worth. Also, the internet has
created a new way for a side hustle, selling things on the internet, making money off YouTube videos,
providing driving services, and even creating apps. So why wouldn t millennials want to own a house,
knowing they have income coming in? Could it be they saw their parents face the recession? Could it
be they haven t found their purpose in life? Or could the burden of college debt stop them from
purchasing? Maybe they re waiting until they meet that special someone or possibly owning a home is
overrated? All these factors may be the reasons there is a decline in real estate ownership. Therefore, if
millennials want to invest in a home, they need to look into the reason why they re buying the house.
See the pros and cons of being a first time buyer and be a pessimist, not an optimist. Buying a home is
a stressful shopping experience, but could be the best experience if they have the right people in their
corner and they re ready for this big step. Right people as in a realtor that is honest and looks out for

The Paradox Of NED
Introduction
During the course of this essay, one aims to open the paradox, that is non executive directors
(hereinafter NEDs) and lay down the issues that they face and the remedies that have been proposed.
Hence, in order to understand the role of a NEDs, one must be able to look at their role holistically.
NEDs, are known as part time directors who are appointed by the full time directors of a company,
and their role in essence is to do the exact opposite of the full time director, making them an
independent party.
Their main purpose in a company is to provide an outsider point of view, hence being able to bring to
the company fresh and new inputs to better the company. The issue faced is that if the role of the NED
is doing the opposite ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The report is known as the Greenbury Report , it followed after the Cadbury Report. This report came
into force as directors were paying themselves too much salary. The Greenbury report recommended
that a full discloser should be given for the directors pay and remuneration of NEDs. The report
provided a description of how directors salary should be link with their services. However, they had
omitted to provide an method to verify disclosure of the directors salary. This led to directors
comparing their salaries and seeking for further increment from the NEDs. Resulting, in the NEDs

Information Media s Impact On The Effects Of News Media
Effects of News Media
Christopher Kramer
HUM/186
August 7, 2017
Allyson Wells Effects of News Media The development of mass media had drastically changed over
the last century and will continue to change. These advancements offer society a variety of avenues to
access information instantaneously, which has an impact on American culture.
Information Media and Social Responsibility
Most major information media outlets do provide a social responsibility to provide fact based
information to the masses. The sole job of the information media sources is to relay information from
the original source to an audience. Unfortunately, sometimes the information provided lacks a non

It is very common for the news media to cover political topics that impact our society and American
culture. Presidential campaigns are becoming increasingly vicious as news sources dig up harmful dirt
to impact approval ratings and the candidates chances of winning the election. The world witnessed
the name calling and dirt throwing in the last presidential campaign of 2016. The information
distributed by the various news media sites impacted the opinions and voting of many Americans. The
tragic event of 9/11 had a lasting impact on the American people and their stance on War. The
information received from the government and news media made many Americans feel ok with going
to war and that is was the necessary thing to do. Sometimes the information presented my not always
to the full story as society is told only what they want them to hear. The issue around Prop 8 and the
right for marriage equality was also a hot topic that got a lot of attention. Religious people felt like
marriage should only be between a man and a woman as other people felt like all people deserve equal
rights and denying the right for same sex marriage was a violation of civil rights. Soon after the LGBT
community was granted the right to marry, the media covered many hate crimes and attacks on the
LGBT community. These stories are what the news media used to sell papers and continue the

Tom Lehrer s Song Wernher Von Braun
In Tom Lehrer s 1967 released song Wernher von Braun, there is a lot of context behind the lyrics that
many first time viewers and the newer generation may not fully understand without explanation.
Wernher von Braun was a German engineer who worked on rocket technology during and after World
War II first for Germany and then the United States (Biography Editors). When he was in Germany, he
was the main developer in creating the V2 rocket that were fired at Britain where 2,754 were killed
while an estimated 6,000 were injured in 1944 (Chris Trueman). As WWII was coming to an end,
Braun was informed that Adolf Hitler ordered that him and his team of scientist to be executed to
prevent from being captured, but Braun instead surrendered to the United States allies in 1945 (United
States History). His time in the United States included becoming technical director of the U.S. Army
Ordnance Guided Missile Project in Alabama and in November of 1967, he debuted the Saturn V
which was twice as big as the Saturn I (Wernher von Braun). Just before Christmas of 1968, Braun
launched Apollo 8, the world s first spacecraft to travel to the moon (Wernher von Braun) In the first
few lines of the song, Lehrer recites Gather ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

already being in and already involved with two different countries. It s also ironic that learning to
count down to zero were two of his important roles in Germany with the uses of the V2 missiles and
the launching of various space vehicles and rockets (Biography

Sainsbury s Internal Expansion Essay
Section A
A1
a)
A retailer may be seen as a business that focuses its marketing efforts on the final consumers with the
intention of selling goods or services to them. This means that any business that sells a product or
service to a final consumer, whether it is to a customer in a shop, by mail, over the telephone, door to
door or by means of a vending machine, is a retailing business. Retailers usually buy in bulk and sell
these items in smaller quantities to consumers for personal, family or household use.

The company s chain of Sainsbury was the UK s biggest food retailer until 1995 when competitors
like Tesco Plc and ASDA Group Limited took over the market. Other competitors include Hannaford
Bros. Co., Safeway Plc and The Stop and Shop Companies, Inc.
Social factors
In today s market, the customers tend to prefer one stop shopping. This means that they prefer to have
all the products available under one roof. Sainsbury by introducing non food products have largely
benefited from this strategy.
In addition other social factors such as increasing female workforce, longevity in the population, etc.
has resulted in a decline domestic meal making. Therefore there is a growing demand pattern of a
certain types of products. One of the marketing themes of Sainsbury being Cook and Save promotes
easy to cook products thereby allowing the customers to make their household budgets stretch

My Mother s Tongue by Amy Tan
In the personal essay My Mothers Tongue (1990), Amy Tan, widely known author explains her
insights on language and culture identity using details and memories from her own life experiences.
Tan conceals that the language in which her mother used with her was the language that helped shape
the way [she] saw things, expressed things, made sense of the world (1208) and in the process it made
her who she is today as an author. Tan illuminates the euro centricity of the Master Narrative by
retelling stories of her mother being treated poorly because of her broken or limited English. She
recalls many past experiences where her mother suffered from bad service and treatment from
restaurants, stockbrokers, and even hospitals. Using examples from her personal life Tan gets her point
across about language and culture characteristics in order to show how Chinese culture is affected by
the master narrative and also encourages others to include a variety of cultures in order to overcome
bias opinions. Tan s apparent audience can be ranged from the child of an immigrant to a doctor and
offers an authentic and rich portrayal of Chinese history through her conflicting experience of her
Chinese and American cultures.
In the essay Straw into Gold: The Metamorphosis of the Everyday (1984), Sandra Cisneros, nationally
known Mexican American author, uses an informal tone and fragment sentences such as I d never seen
anybody make corn tortillas. Ever (1226) to help create a voice

Carports Research Paper
Why should you prefer carports than garage? You need to protect your car from the harsh weather
when not in use. For that you can either build a garage or a carport. If you re just hoping to keep the
sun from beating up your car s paint job all day, a covered carport is probably all you need. What is a
carport? A carport is a small structure usually used to protect cars from the outside elements. The
structure can be attached to a wall or free standing. Carports more often than not are open to both
sides. However, one can also find those that are partially or completely closed. Carports usually come
in three types: single, double and triple carports. The type of design will depend on the number of
vehicles one wants to store. If a person has two or three vehicles, he or she can go for triple or double
structures. The structure can be installed on a paved surface, level ground, stem wall or even concrete
slab. Carports can be made of timber or metal, and the roof can be made from polycarbonate,
Colorbond, Zincalume, or even other materials (such as tiles). ... Show more content on

The first advantage of using a carport over a garage is the cost of installation. It will cost you half as
much to build a carport as a garage. The materials used for the construction of a carport is cheaper
than building a garage. Because a carport isn t an enclosed or liveable space, it s not necessary to build
fire rated walls or ceiling. You won t have to bother with so many city regulations and fire safety
considerations during construction. Carports are less massive so they fit in with the architecture better.
Since carport is more or less open, your car has plenty of natural ventilation. A carport can be
modified to suit a building or home. Design details such as gables can also be added to compliment a

Is Leavitt A Living Thing
I think the point Leavitt is making is how life is a very complicated subject to try to understand. There
may not ever be a true definition to the word life . Like Leavitt said, One could always find
exceptions. There is still no true distinction from living and nonliving things. Yes, all living things are
supposed to possess the traits of being able to reproduce, maintain homeostasis, take in a form of
energy whether it s through direct food intake, or from sunlight, and so on and so forth. However,
sometimes one thing that we may consider a living thing might not contain all of these traits. One
example is a virus. Some people say it s alive others say it s not. It can respond to stimuli, has DNA to

Melodrama and Heaven Allows Essay
Both Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Todd Haynes have drawn on Sirk s film melodramas in their
films. Discuss the differences and similarities between their uses of Sirkian melodrama in their films
Ali: Fear Eats the Soul and Far From Heaven. In developing your analysis you should engage with
theoretical debates about these filmmakers s work and theories of melodrama, and you should support
your analysis through close reading of the films
Douglas Sirk, a Danish German film director, is best known for being the father of Melodrama. He is
commonly referred to as a master of the weepie (Willemen 1972) and has been an inspiration and

Williams also states that victim heroes are the focus of melodramas through recognition of the
character s virtue, where the victim s point of view is the main concentration of melodrama. The
protagonist s moral virtue ultimately causes immense suffering, thus causing audiences to empathise
with them (Williams 1998). In Far From Heaven, it is Cathy who is the virtuous individual who
silently suffers to maintain equilibrium within her family and society at large. This is conveyed
throughout the film as each event leads us to Cathy s (the victim) recognition as virtuous through her
suffering (Skvirsky 2008). In the first half of the film, Cathy decides she will do well by her husband
Frank by bringing his dinner to the office as he is working late. Just as she arrives at his office late at
night, Cathy discovers her husband, to her surprise romantically involved with another man. In the
latter part of the film, Frank confronts Cathy. He demands to know whether rumours she had spent the
afternoon with a man of colour, Raymond Deagon are true. Through the course of these events, Cathy

Role Of Artifice In American Politics
Put your best foot forward, but if that foot is fake, is it really yours? Facades and fallacies have
absorbed American politics and entertainment like vacuum of morality upon our society. Although
Americans want to believe that our leaders are honest and are held to a superior moral standard than
the rest of us, the very nature of politics and entertainment requires those who want to be successful to
master the art of deception, or as noted by author Chris Hedges, the most essential skill...is artifice.
Artifice is ultimately the common link with the most successful and most powerful people in the
world. Utilizing artifice and emotional appeals to put on a show and create a powerful narrative is

Biscuits History
Canned biscuits and rolls had been developed by Southern companies that recognized there was
money to be made selling traditional culture back to a rapidly changing region, he writes.
Convenience foods allowed consumers to serve foods that reflected the regions past but could be
produced with low cost with new efficiency. Fast food chains began to pop up across the south mid
century. Harland Sanders opened Kentucky Fried Chicken in 1952 and sold southern style biscuits on
his menu. Hardees was founded in 1960 and pioneered the market for breakfast biscuits, served at the
drive through. Hardees started to bake their biscuits from scratch in 1970, then in 1977 the Hardees

morning commute meals by. Biscuit Maker s owner describes hers as big and fluffy, and we use lots of

Mt. View Citgo s biscuits are definitely big enough to be called cathead, and cook Cindy Bradley calls

The French And Indian War
Many wars were fought between the English and the French. The French and Indian War was an
important factor in the writing of the Declaration of Independence. The war was very costly for the
British. After the war ended the British thought of ways to gain money from the colonists to help
replenish funds lost from the war. This usually was in the form of taxes. The colonists were not happy
with the British government and made their feelings and opinions known. The colonists wanted their
freedom and independence from England. As time passed the colonists began to show their rebellion
towards the British. There were many acts that the British thought would bring good news for the
colonists but that proved to be far from the truth. Tensions were high and emotions ran strong between
the two. The Declaration of Independence was inevitable ( Declaration of Independence, ). The French
and Indian War began in 1754 and lasted until 1763. It was also known as the seven year war. This
war was between England, with the help of the colonies and the French, and some American Indians.
This war was a continuation of a series of wars between the French and British in North America. The
British spent large amounts of money on supplies and providing troops for the war. In the beginning of
the war the French defeated the British many times and did not change until in 1756, when William
Pitt became the British Secretary of State. The British began to send more supplies which led to the

Describe what you observed in section 3 of the dish. Questions: A. Explain what is meant by memory as a characteristic of the immune response. a. B. How does our immune response distinguish between our own cells and foreign invaders? a. This function is mediated by T cells and B cells (memory cells) in our body via adaptive immunity. The adaptive immune system evolved in early vertebrates and allows for a stronger immune response as well as immunological memory, where each pathogen is remembered by a signature antigen. The adaptive immune response is antigen specific and requires the recognition of specific non self antigens during a process called antigen presentation. Antigen specificity allows for the generation of responses that are tailored to specific pathogens or pathogen infected cells. The ability to mount these tailored responses is maintained in the body by memory cells. Should a pathogen infect the body more than once, these specific memory cells are used to quickly eliminate it. So basically killer T cells will identify antigens present on foreign cells. These antigens are not found in any of the cells inside our body. Therefore, T cells will identify them and kill them. C. What are lymphocytes and where are they produced? a. Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell, which are an important part of the immune system. Lymphocytes can defend the body ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, many do believe that all the goods actions Jackson did overweigh the villainous deeds. The examples of Jackson s evil and criminal deeds he did are as follows. When handling the Indians, Jackson was very cruel. He despised the Indians so much he made an act called the Indian Removal Act. Which forced the Indians to leave the entire country. He told them that they would be removed either willingly or by force. The Indians decided not to leave. So he told soldiers to capture them so they could be removed by force. This lead to the crisis of the Trail Of Tears. Along the way of the trail 4,000 died from the hostile and horrible conditions of disease and exhaustion. Also, he had wooden structures that were made for the Indians to stay in. These structures were unhealthy and unsanitary. There were no doors or windows. • 6. Summary Of Margret In Shakespeare s Richard III William Shakespeare s Richard III is a political work of genius of its time, the way Shakespeare can propagate the tutor dynasty and retell the history of his state in such a compelling way is quite remarkable. The work centralizes itself around the inner workings of the royal court just after the war of the roses and prior to the uprising of the tutor dynasty. The character of Richard III is both protagonist and antagonist in the work, however throughout this paper, we will be commenting on the connections found between the character of Margaret and certain themes in the production. More specifically, how she is used as a device in conveying the themes of Corruption, the implementation of the Supernatural, and the anger and rage found in her (and others) text. To properly comment on the character of Margret found in the works of William Shakespeare (and the themes she aids in conveying) one must first completely comprehend the history of the true Margret of Anjou. Understanding a short history of the character s origins will aid in the discussion. A History Born March 23rd, 1430 Margret of Anjou lived a considerably quiet life with her aristocratic family in France until the age of 12, the age to marry. As most young woman of that age, Margrett was then used as a political tool by her father, The Duke Rene. Throughout the recorded history of the Christian religion, countless writings, both canonical and non canonical, have been discovered and translated. As is the issue with most religious texts, scholars fiercely engage each other s interpretations and opinions regarding these texts. The Gospel of Thomas is no different. Considered Gnostic by some and canon by others, the Gospel of Thomas is a collection of sayings that were spoken by the living Jesus, and recorded by Didymos Judas Thomas. Throughout the length of the text, there are a number of common themes; the most notable being the idea that the people look to Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Satiating the lust of the flesh is frowned heavily upon in most religions. Because Adam and Eve gave into this temptation, all humans are born with some semblance of the original sin. However, the blank slate nature of a child is as close to perfect as one can hope to be. Many of Jesus s sayings in the Gospel of Thomas suggest that children, babies in particular, have everything they need to be almost perfect; for they are born with that of the light of the Father, and therefore hold some divinity (Litwa, 2015). Jesus tells his disciples that circumcision is not useful, for if it was, the Father would have made babies circumcised. Jesus says congratulations to the poor and the meek, for the Heaven s Kingdom shall belong to them. A child a baby is nothing if it is not poor and meek. A child has done nothing, earned nothing, and truly cannot be anything other than poor, and meek. It is with age, and sin, that a child loses their sight of the path to Heaven. At several points in the text, Jesus talks about the intrinsic war between father and son, and the necessary hatred for one s parents. It is entirely possible that Jesus could be describing the struggle that a good child faces in attempting to separate themselves from their parents, who have become old and deep in sin. Tacitus goes through every aspect of culture and in some cases compares Germans to Romans. He describes German culture as a whole in the first half of the reading, then moves on to discuss each individual tribe and their customs. Tacitus defines race in very broad sense, drawn from how he depicts Germans in contrast to Romans. We see that geography and culture play a large role, although they differ slightly from tribe to tribe, many maintain similar customs. One of the more obvious indications of racial difference, is seen through physical characteristics. This is because along with having catechins from the green tea, which interfere with bacterial membrane processes, the lemon green tea had flavonoids from the lemon, which alter enzyme activity, and a low pH, inhibiting acid tolerance and the formation of bacterial biofilm. In both of tests, the green tea solution created a larger zone of inhibition than the green tea with lemon, which is why our hypothesis was wrong. The water was our negative control, so it created no zone of inhibition and the beach was our positive control, so it always had a zone of inhibition. From the both ... • 20. Persuasive Essay On Owning A House In this day and age, we are advancing and changing the traditional routines past generation set for us. Today millennials are trying different turns in the workforce, not starting at the bottom to the top. Because of this empowerment, some get the dream job they work so hard for all the while being in school. With this some say they feel entitled; some say they know their worth. Also, the internet has created a new way for a side hustle, selling things on the internet, making money off YouTube videos, providing driving services, and even creating apps. So why wouldn t millennials want to own a house, knowing they have income coming in? Could it be they saw their parents face the recession? Could it be they haven t found their purpose in life? Or could the burden of college debt stop them from purchasing? Maybe they re waiting until they meet that special someone or possibly owning a home is overrated? All these factors may be the reasons there is a decline in real estate ownership. Therefore, if millennials want to invest in a home, they need to look into the reason why they re buying the house. See the pros and cons of being a first time buyer and be a pessimist, not an optimist. Buying a home is a stressful shopping experience, but could be the best experience if they have the right people in their corner and they re ready for this big step. If you re just hoping to keep the sun from beating up your car s paint job all day, a covered carport is probably all you need. What is a carport? A carport is a small structure usually used to protect cars from the outside elements. The structure can be attached to a wall or free standing. Carports more often than not are open to both sides. However, one can also find those that are partially or completely closed. Carports usually come in three types: single, double and triple carports. The type of design will depend on the number of vehicles one wants to store. If a person has two or three vehicles, he or she can go for triple or double structures. The structure can be installed on a paved surface, level ground, stem wall or even concrete slab. Carports can be made of timber or metal, and the roof can be made from polycarbonate, Colorbond, Zincalume, or even other materials (such as tiles). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
