About the Course
Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) can
provide unique, customizable, cost effective and quick
solutions to gas supply challenges in a wide variety
of circumstances and conditions. These solutions are
gaining wider acceptance and adoption worldwide
as the technology becomes better understood and
more widely known, and as Shipowners, operators,
governments, power producers and other natural gas
and energy infrastructure stakeholders recognize the
potential value add in regas projects.
As a bridging strategy prior to bringing in land based
infrastructure, a back-up to variable(unreliable) natural
gas supply or a quick solution to the burgeoning
demands of emerging nations, FSRUs are impacting
global LNG markets on a greater scale than ever before.
This course will underpin the theory which applies to
Floating Storage and Regas Units by using practical
examples based on real world experience and
interactive discussion throughout the course. These
exercises will provide an excellent opportunity for
participants to apply the theoretical principles which
will assist in understanding the design, development,
implementation and operation of FSRU projects.
