Attendees can save up to 40% by registering a group of 3 or more delegates for the special group rate. [END SUMMARY]
Oil and Liquefied Gas Tanker Operations is a comprehensive separately bookable course designed to provide participants with a technical perspective of shipping operations. The 4 day course will cover technical designs and features of tankers, operational execution based on charterparty terms, port, cargo and ballasting operations, tank cleaning, safety assessment and procedures, all broken down and discussed in detail. In addition, tanker owners, managers, operators and charterers will learn how to best minimize any operational claims and disputes due to accidents either out at sea or berthing at ports.
Marine fuel producers and suppliers strive to meet lower sulphur limits in a very competitive global market. However because bunkers represent more than 50% of the operating costs of a ship, marine fuel buyers seek to obtain the lowest possible price.
This course will concentrate on Offshore Marine Operations and will cover Operational and Managerial requirements for Loadout; Barge Transportation; Towing of Offshore Facilities; Lifting; Steel Jackets; Gravity-Based Structures; Lift-Off, Transportation and Inshore Mating of Topsides; Offshore Pipelines; Marine Operations Overview; Special Topics, and other essential topics related to Export/Import Oil & Gas.
PD221 Charterparty Management For Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Tankers petroEDGE
Despite falling oil prices, the demand for LPG is growing at a much faster pace both in under developed and developed markets in Asia. There has been a steady increase in the number of LPG tankers as compared to LNG in the Middle East to Asian routes. There is now an important focus on the use of LPG vessels specific Charter Party Agreements to avoid the ambiguity of dormant clauses by adopting commonly used Charter Party Forms for petroleum tankers.
Course Objectives
This course is developed to meet the needs of the hour of the LPG industry fraternity, encompassing the following underlying objectives:
Enhance the interpretation and applicability of clauses in a Charter party in context of the available commercial proposition, market forces and economics of demand and supply;
Evaluate types of Charter party Forms for Voyage and Time Charter and comprehend the key features of each Form in context of use for LPG;
Interpret terms and conditions of a Charter party in context of international maritime conventions, competition and economic factors;
Evaluate current and future trends in LPG transportation and the influence of regulatory regimes and strategies of Oil & Gas Majors, Spot Traders and Storage Terminals;
Recognize the avenues of collaboration, contentions, conflicts and manage disputes to avoid losses;
Manage operations towards ensuring delivery of performance obligations under the Charter party; and
Create a Charter party Management System (CMS) in the company to ensure profitability for each voyage and term.
Expected Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course and hands-on workshops based on real life cases, you would have enhanced their knowledge base and be able to:
Restructure the Charter party agreements with alternative clauses to avoid pitfalls and surprises during execution;
Evaluate impact of uncertainties and identify undefined parameters with cost considerations;
Appraise potential risks in Bill of Ladings and develop risk mitigation strategies;
Enhanced consciousness about the rider clauses and commercial impact of each such addition;
Ability to deal with breakdowns, contaminations and delays in an appropriate and timely manner, with an objective of avoiding loss of time and deviations, from the desired monetary projections;
Recognize the appropriate Standard Form to be used for each type of assignment; and
Manage contentious situations through alternative dispute resolution channels and litigation effectively.
This 3 day training course is designed to give you an operational perspective of LNG Terminals and an appreciation of how the business of LNG and relevant technologies inter-relate and work together. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to engage in highly interactive discussions and acquire critical operational processes and techniques.

Introduction to Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU)petroEDGE
Over the next 2 or 3 decades it is predicted that gas usage will grow at a much faster rate than oil and become the dominant energy source. Up to some 40% of gas comes from Offshore Fields. The transport of gas in the form of LNG is growing very fast – particularly for longer distance export routes. New offshore opportunities for gas production are being developed with the new technologies of Floating LNG (FLNG).
Inshore or Offshore FSRU’s provide safe, strategic and good location for the receiving terminals for LNG and provide the conversion of the methane from the liquid phase back to the gaseous phase to direct consumer usage.
This 2 day training course covers Gas and LNG activities – their Supply Chain from Onshore and Offshore Gas Fields to Market, with FSRU’s providing the last step by converting the LNG back to usable methane gas for local supply and use. Case Studies and videos will be used to illustrate lessons learned from past successful projects. A DVD of the powerpoint presentation and numerous Industry videos will be distributed with the lecture materials.

methodologies essential to taking PPP decisions, be it model selection, application, structuring, finance, bidding, partner selection or risk mitigation. Using a combination of lectures, group discussion and a range of case studies, our expert course director will take attendees through the critical success factors for PPP projects.
Scrubber systems are becoming an increasingly possible option for shipowners to consider for either new shipbuilding or retrofitting on their current fleet. This is because scrubber systems are capable of removing
undesired SOx from a vessel’s exhaust gas emission to comply with ECA emission requirements of not more than 0.1 % sulphur content. At the same time though, the use of scrubber systems has raised various key issues including its ease of implementation, the commercial feasibility and challenges faced in adopting this technology.
This 2 day course will provide a comprehensive review of key scrubber systems issues, commercial and technical considerations before adopting scrubbers and the impacts on daily shipping operations. The course focuses on three main areas: emissions regulation, economics, and installation. In each area, challenges and benefits will be discussed, and essential points of consideration will be reviewed. Investment decisions will be analyzed
thoroughly, to factor in associated costs, possible savings and to determine the ROI on using scrubbers. Ship owners, managers and shipbuilders will leave this course with a more complete understanding of challenges to and
solutions for this increasingly important technology.
This 2-day course will show how the fundamental principles which underpin laytime and demurrage can be
changed quite dramatically by the wording of contractual
terms whether relating to dry cargo or tankers.
The course includes practical examples of calculations by way of a Worked Example and Case Studies.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
