About the Workshop Leader:
David Haynes is a process engineer with a degree in
Chemical Engineering from Bath University in the UK who
has worked in the gas industry for over 30 years, with the
last 20 of them in LNG. His career has spanned international
development projects with British Gas/BG Group and
consultancy projects with Advantica, GL Noble Denton
and DNV GL. David is now the principal and director of
UK based, independent consultants, Penguin Energy
Consultants Ltd.
David has worked on LNG liquefaction and import projects
in over 25 countries worldwide. Over the last 5 years he has
performed 9 owner support, due diligence, consultancy
and design projects on FLNG and a further 8 on FSRUs.
David is a regular participant at conferences both as a
speaker and chairman and an established LNG trainer.
Current work includes a baseload liquefaction project
in the US, support for floating LNG in west Africa, import
terminal training courses in Europe and LNG importation
via FSRUs in Asia.

About the Workshop Leaders:
Nick Prowse is the Head of Norton Rose Fulbright’s
global Oil & Gas practice. He acts for international
and national oil companies, other major
corporations, Governments and lenders. He joined
Norton Rose Fulbright over twenty-four years ago and has
been involved in all aspects of the global oil and gas industry.
He has advised on oil and gas developments, pipeline
projects, LNG (liquefaction and regasification) projects and
petrochemical projects, as well as power plants and mergers
& acquisitions in relation to all aspects of the energy industry.
His work spans Europe, Africa, the Middle East and North and
South America.
Richard Howley is a partner who is experienced in
international ship finance, with a particular focus
on financing LNG carriers. He has a broad range
of experience in bilateral and syndicated debt
facilitiesandstructuredfinancings,includingtheprojectand
lease financing of LNG carriers and the project financing
of semi-submersible drilling rigs, FPSOs and other floating
production units, and the negotiation of shipbuilding and
other transport contracts, particularly in connection with
shipowners tendering for LNG projects. Richard has been
involved with the financing of both second-hand and new-
building vessels, acting for shipowners, banks and lessors
worldwide. He has also acted for international banks
and finance lessors in relation to the debt financing and
lease restructuring of semi-submersible drilling rigs, drillships
and FPSOs. Richard is a regular speaker at international
conferences, chaired the Banking and Legal session at
Gastech 2009 in Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s largest
energy conferences, and participated in the Students
Programme at Gastech 2011 in Amsterdam.
