India s A Growing Economic System
For this research report, I want to further the understanding of the Indian attitude, external
opportunities and threats of entrepreneurship, and how the International world and India is progressing
with entrepreneurs. I have an interest in being in working internationally, after gaining more
experience in the corporate/sales area of a company, which is one of the reasons I chose to explore this
topic on an international level. This paper will cover some basics of entrepreneurship in India.
In India they have a growing economic system. Global Edge states that in 2011, India s estimated
GDP was $1.843 trillion with 7.8% growth (Global Edge). Then another measurement was taken in
2013; according to the CIA, India s GDP is about $4.99 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although India has some of the biggest billionaires living there, more than 30% 50% of the people in
India live below the poverty line on about 50 cents a day. It is a high poverty rate, the highest among
all the BRIC countries. In India this problem is growing and becoming more unbalanced. This is an
issue because of the caste system in India. This castes system makes it extremely difficult for one to
change social classes. Women also have a problem when trying to break into the workplace, because it
is something that is seen as taboo. I recall in a TED TALK that was shown in a class of mine, it
showed how women and lower class citizens of India were learning about IT and how they were being
taught simple key logging types of work in hopes of the availability of the jobs will help balance the
distribution of income through the lower classes.
The key sectors of the company in India are listed as agriculture (17.4%), industry (25.8%), and
services (56.9%). Many belonging to the lower class in India are farmers and they spend quite some
time selling their produce which proves to be a difficult tasks since many rural areas do not have the
means to provide efficient transportation (i.e. underdeveloped roads). Because of this, many of their
produce go bad/expire before they make it to the market. The main agricultural products that are
produced in India are rice, wheat, oilseed, cotton, jute, tea, sugarcane, lentils, onions, potatoes; dairy

A Look at the Westward Expansion in the Post-Civil War Era
History is like a die. It can have a small or large number of sides, but it can never have just one.
Regarding the United States Westward Expansion in the Post Civil War era, there were many sides to
be taken into account, including (but not limited to) the Apache Indians, the US Government workers
and soldiers, the American Elite, journalists, and scholars. How historians and others perceive this era
is dependent on the primary sources available. By looking at sources such as Apache Chief Geronimo
s Story of His Life, Harvard Educated Ranch Manager Richard Trimble s Letters to his Mother, and
Financial Editor H.D. Lloyd s Story of a Great Monopoly , one can unearth little nuggets of
information that help determine how the process of incorporation affected large and diverse groups of
people.
When the United States began its Westward Expansion in the second half of the 19th century, many
Native American Chiefs lost much more than they gained. The first time that Apache Chief Geronimo
ever saw white men was about 1858, shortly after the massacre of Kaskiyeh . Although he was a
warrior, he was not interested in killing every white soldier or settler that he came across. Instead, his
initial attitude towards the white soldiers and settlers was stated on page 117 of his autobiography as,
The Indians always tried to live peaceably with the white soldiers and settlers. (117) This statement,
along with a few others in the autobiography such as Then we made our camp near

Life And Role Of Stanislavski s Acting Style In Theatre
Stanislavski was born in Russia in 1863, and his birth name was Konstantin Sergeevich Alekseev. He
was exposed to the arts from a young age and as a child regularly visited theatres, operas and ballets.
During the 1800s in Russia, actors were in a lower social class, so for almost half of Stanislavski s
life, he was limited to amateur arts to avoid casting social embarrassment on his family. Stanislavski
was the name he used to act without his family s awareness and he eventually became professional
when the Moscow Arts Theatre was founded in 1897.
The MXAT was effectively the first to ensure many, many hours were put into rehearsals and to
specially design all costumes, sound and lighting. This was the beginning of a realistic style within
theatre, which was opposed by many creative pioneers. Stanislavski felt no other option than to
become independent and set up the First Studio in 1912, moving away from the MXAT to combat
opposition. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After being evicted, Stanislavski was desperate and eventually the state allocated him a small house
where he could rehearse. During this time, the MXAT also suffered and an acting tour led by
Stanislavski was its desperate attempt to gain funds. Some of the MXAT actors found new teaching
careers in the West, which spread Stanislavski s ideas.
Stanislavski s experimentation away from realism, into yoga and psychology, were ignored by the
Soviet government which appointed him as a Soviet Realism model. Stanislavski struggled to accept
the new laws on acting and backlash from the press triggered the heart attack which ended his acting
career. Stanislavski s manuals and ideas became the curriculum for theatre schools within Russia, but
many of his ideas were ignored and his public image was vastly contrasted to his private image.
Stanislavski lived in exile and rarely left his home in the 4 years before his

Phoenix s Hardships and Racism in A Worn Path Essay
A Worn Path tells of an elderly and frail black woman and of the hardships that she must overcome.
Upon reading the story, you realize that there is more to the story than meets the eye. She faces many
roadblocks along her way. Phoenix faces many dangerous obstacles along her way, for a person of her
age. She faces racism from some of characters she meets along the way. Phoenix faces inferior
treatment, as though she is nothing more than some insect to squash. This story is about not only her
journey to Natchez, but also about her journey through society and the struggle to overcome the
dangers, being treated inferior, and the racism. It s December when Phoenix starts on her journey to

to get caught going under that fence, the consequences she faced could have been death. The obstacles

injury suffered out in the open and alone like she was in the middle of the winter could have resulted
in death. However, it is in the end that the reader sees just how precious her journey is and for the
lover of her grandson moves Phoenix to town. It is the same type of unfair obstacles that Phoenix must
have dealt with her entire life. Yet she made it through them all un harmed and her spirit still intact.
Phoenix lived in a society where racism was still running strong. Yet she faced and dealt with that
every day of her life. As an African American slave, she would have toil in the fields, wondering if she
would still be alive by the time the sun was setting. Phoenix is visible shaken with a run a scarecrow

watched the shadows return from the field; wondering if their loved ones were still alive or was going
to come home unharmed. Phoenix faced those same fears as a mother and grandmother. If Phoenix

Violence In Shirley Jackson s The Lottery
The Lottery by Shirley Jackson
The story The Lottery introduces the reader to a cruel ritual of the village where people gather
together to participate in the annual elimination of a random villager. Pleasant and friendly mood in
the town at the beginning of the story was replaced by hostile and violent human behavior. Warm and
sunny summer morning did not represent happiness; instead, it represented death. The author
gradually turned the excitement into violence.
In 1948, when The Lottery was published, Shirley Jackson received only negative reviews from the
readers. Many people, including Jackson s mother, disapproved the story due to it frighten nature.

Some of them agree not follow the tradition anymore. Nevertheless, Mr. Summers, Mr. Graves and
Mr. Martin proudly cherish the remaining parts of the ritual and importance of the lottery. Regardless
of forgotten elements of tradition, black wooden box and stones represent an important part of it. As
per character of the story, Old Man Warner, the lottery was conducted for seventy seventh years and
some of the rituals were lost. Despite that, black box was never replaced with the new one, carrying on
the meaning of the original tradition. The black box takes a special place in this ritual. Its black color
represents death and violence that current tradition involves. The entire population of the village
seems heartless, including children who stuffed their pockets with stones, getting ready to attack
randomly selected victim. Each participant understands the risk of being stoned to death, but still sees
the ritual as an entertaining event. Moreover, each of them ready to murder their neighbor without
feeling of guilt. As Griffin point out, individual action against someone consider a murder, but on the
group level people classify their heinous act simply as ritual (45). From Griffin s point of view, by
writing this story, Shirley Jackson revealed pointless violence and general inhumanity of man (Griffin

The Rise Of The Roman Empire Essay
Constantine was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. He started his reign in 307 AD.
During this time the Roman Empire was still composed mainly of pagans. Although the population of
Christians was on the rise, in the beginning of the fourth century, Christians made up only 10 percent
of the population in the Roman Empire. There were approximately five million Christians in the
Roman Empire meaning that they were still the minority (Waldron). His conversion was an important
turning point not only for Christians but also for the Roman Empire as a whole. Although most
Romans still believed in Greco Roman religions, Constantine decided to become a Christian because
he knew that it would be beneficial for his role as emperor. His conversion was prompted by his desire
to end the tetrarchy structure of the Roman Empire and to become the sole ruler of the Roman Empire.
The story of Constantine s conversion was told through Eusebius of Caersera. His recount of the story
is skewed by his bias. In order to show a more holistic view of the story I will be comparing his
account to the account of another historian named Andreas Alföldi. The comparison will show that
Constantine had other motives for converting to Christianity. Constantine s decision to become a
Christian was influenced by numerous external factors. He emulated the monotheistic nature of
Christianity and used it as the foundation of his reign and used Christianity to advance his political
agenda. When

Health Insurance History
History of Health Insurance in the United States Health insurance has a long and extensive history in
the United States. The history or beginning of health insurance can be traced back to the Great
Depression in the 1930s. The Depression affected several indigenous hospitals in the United States. In
order to ensure adequate payment for medical services during the Great Depression, hospitals and
physicians had to establish and implement different types of insurance. The health insurance was also
meant to cover different types of injuries and sicknesses at work environments. In the same period
(Great Depression), managed care and conventional insurance were also brought into existence.
Managed care was later developed in the 1980s. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

provider organizations (PPOs). One of the major events in the 1980s as regards to the history of health
insurance in the United States was the enlargement of Medicaid and Medicare for the benefit of
pregnant women and children. The major highlight of this event was when Congress made the
decision to expand (also known as SOBRA expansions) the Medicaid coverage to pregnant women

The Evil Eye in The Tell-Tale Heart Essay
The Evil Eye in The Tell Tale Heart
In Edgar Allen Poe s Short story The Tell Tale Heart much is made of the evil eye of the old man.
Immediately we are introduced to a man who would never hurt a fly. The narrator of the story even
goes so far as to say he loved the old man. This old man is portrayed as one who would do anything
for you. However, the caretaker of the old man has one small problem with the old man. The eye that
darn evil eye! What could cause a person to become enraged by an eye and only one eye?
Martha Womack stated that the violence comes from an irrational fear represented through the old
man s eye. The belief in the evil eye dates back to ancient times, and even today, is fairly common ...

Clearly there is a reason for the usage of only one eye.
B. D. Tucker wrote of the possibility of the eye representing a higher being. This sparked the option
and bringing about the eye of God belief. Talking about many things from the Cyclopes, the
possibility of an eye of a higher being, and more so on the Christian side of what the story means.
Tucker wrote more about the ties to The Bible with the three men who come to the door after the
murder. The mentioning of the possibility of the eye as a higher being caused me to pursue how the
eye could be that of the one true God. Focusing on the ending of the story when the three officers I
wanted to look at the influence of God in the earlier stages of the story with the evil eye.
I needed to find where a single eye is used in other areas both in literature and in everyday use. There
were many places to look but none would deal with God until I looked closer at both my Bible and at
the symbolism of one eye. I remembered seeing a single eye on the Great Seal of the United States
both on the eagle and on the capstone of the pyramid. This got me thinking as to when the seal was
placed on the dollar bill. As stated at the Great Seal s website the seal was first placed on the one
dollar bill in 1935 well after the publishing date of The Tell Tale Heart in 1850 (Kennedy 33).
However, upon further reading about the seal I noticed it was created in 1782 so Poe

The extreme poles of this debate are represented in the later part of the novel by the two investigators

Theme Of Love In Antigone
Joseph Keighley was a thirty year old father whose wife had been subjected to a terrible illness. He
loved her so much that he would perform any task she wished for him to do for her. however as time
passes, she had passed away and his devoted heart for her rendered him to not be with any woman
other than his wife. Love, a powerful word and action is often described to be something in which you
devote your feelings and emotion to something or someone with full intent, however Love in
Antigone, a tragic play, written by Sophocles reciprocates this idea in a completely new way. A theme
that Sophocles writes throughout Antigone could possibly be the idea of loyalty to the city versus
family, and he often grazes upon the origin on many of the themes, providing sufficient amount of
details that could be used to support them. However, a possible main occuring theme of Antigone is
that Love is unconquerable. This theme surfaces in many ways throughout the play, specifically, in the
idea of Love overpowering every aspect that the Greeks and Athenians believed to be impenetrable. In
the midst of the conflict between Creon and Haemon, Creon strongly dislikes and neglected Haemon s
point of view because he believes that he had been corrupted by a woman. Haemon is accused of
being held captive by Antigone and his love for her recognized [him as] the slave of a woman,
referring to the love that Antigone possesses, overpowering Haemon (Sophocles 769). Sophocles

Serial Killers Vs Serial Killers
There are many different people in the United States. Many people follow the rules and regulations
that were implemented through the laws of being an American citizen, but there are many people who
do not follow these laws and regulations. People such as the horrid serial killers that live among us
and some even living incarcerated in prisons all across the country. A serial killer is described as a
person who murders three or more people in a period of over a month, with cooling down time
between murders (Serial Killers Vs. Mass Murderers). One question being; were killers born with a
sense of killing, or did they learn how to become killers over time? Many speculations come from all
different kinds of people, but are serial killers born the way they are?
One side of this argument is that all serial killers are raised in such a manner that causes them to
commit murders. Donald Henry Gaskins is one serial killer that many believe committed his crimes
based on the way his family raised him. Gaskins mother Eulea Parrott otherwise known as Molly got
pregnant at the age of fourteen when she has sex with Mr. Gaskins, a wealthy, well known neighbor of
Molly, who loved to gamble and drink... he paid Molly $1 for sex several times a week (Donald Henry
Gaskins). Later Molly would live on Mr. Gaskins farm and get paid ten dollars by Mr. Gaskins each
month. Donald would later in his childhood be known as Pee Wee because of his small height and
weight, and he was teased and made

The investigations into violent crimes today are starting to reveal that one of the reason individuals are

The fact is the proportion of Americans who describe mental illness in terms consistent with violent or

Essay On The Susquehanna River
There are many different ways to determine the health of a river. The class took a trip to the
Susquehanna River to explore and learn about it. The Susquehanna River contributes forty four
percent of the water that enters the Chesapeake Bay. Because of this, it is essential that the
Susquehanna River stays clean. There are many testable indicators when determining the health of the
river. Some of the indicators are the levels of pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, phosphates, and
temperature. An acceptable pH level is anywhere from five to eight. With this range of pH, wildlife
will be able to thrive in the water! The pH level in East Pennsboro Township and many other places in
Pennsylvania is buffered because of an abundance of naturally found limestone. Dissolved oxygen
levels should be greater than 5 parts per million, but less than 13. The right amount of dissolved
oxygen allows the aquatic animals breathe in their habitat. In dead zones, there are low amounts of
dissolved oxygen and that is why very little life exists there. It is important to keep the levels of
dissolved oxygen in the right range to support wildlife living in the river. ... Show more content on

High levels of nitrates and phosphates are not good for the river because it creates dead zones. Dead
zones are areas that contain low amounts of oxygen in the water. A lot of dead zones in the water aren
t good because a majority of organisms rely on oxygen to live and not many can live in these

The Negative Effects Of Ending Animal Cruelty
Ending Animal Cruelty In today s society makeup is becoming more and more popular. Makeup
brands are constantly coming out with new products made of different ingredients that they think will
pull people in. Where do these ingredients come from? How do they know they re safe for people?
Makeup brands are using innocent animals to make sure that these products aren t going to be harmful
to people. But of course they don t know if they are harmful before they test them on animals. Many
high end makeup brands test on animals without anyone even knowing. Lush cosmetics does not test
on animals, this ad is part of the campaign they have to get people involved in trying to end or replace
animal testing. In my first ad Lush uses a cute little bunny to get to appeal to the viewers pathos.
Seeing a small animal with makeup that is harmful to it isn t going to make people want to buy a
brand s products. That is the message Lush is trying to get across by this ad. If the makeup is harmful
to animals it would be harmful to you. Not to mention these animals don t deserve this at all. The
people testing these products on these animals don t know the effect it will have on them, hence the
reason why it is a test. The pathos in this ad is going to make you think twice about buying makeup
brands that test on animals. The second ad is a commercial starring Angie Hill. In the commercial Hill
is using makeup on her face, perfume on her neck and also showing the effects of it. As she is

Industrial relations ideologies
Introduction A frame of reference is not a philosophical concept. It refers to one s worldview and the
evaluation or judgement of one s observations. One s frame of reference coincides with one s
behaviour and the consequences thereof. Therefore, a frame of reference is fixed but one needs to be
sensitive and accept individual differences in frames of reference. This paper aims to address the
frame of reference of Pick n Pay s chairman and joint managing director, Mr Raymond Ackerman.
The arguments presented in this paper are my own with a theoretical basis from the work of Bluen
(1987). My interpretation of Mr Ackerman s frame of reference will be presented in relation to the
organisation, conflict, collective bargaining and trade ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This reiterates the notion of balance of power. Collective bargaining The ability for positions to reach
a consensus is reached through collective bargaining. Bluen (1987) infers that the pluralist frame of
reference does not seek to remove conflict but to manage it. Mr Ackerman acknowledged the
existence of conflict and tried to manage it by sending his negotiating team to resolve the conflict and
end the strike. Mr Ackerman has a pluralist view because he believes the issue should have been
resolved during negotiations. He even went as far as awarding greater bargaining flexibility to the
negotiating team. The mere fact that Mr Ackerman was so determined to resolve the conflict though
means of collective bargaining should eliminate the likelihood of a unitary frame of reference.
Collective bargaining, an equitable balance of power, and essentially the aim to compromise confirm
that Mr Ackerman holds a pluralist view on industrial relations. Mr Ackerman fought to reach a
consensus for personal and economic reasons. The breakthrough to reach a consensus was achieved
after he delivered his speech. He appealed to the opposing union members by focusing on personal
matters. This led to the agreement of a negotiation. Mr Ackerman considered going up on his
agreement and the union considered going down on theirs. No suppression or unilateral decision
making occurred. In

Suspense in Jekyll and Hyde Essay
How suspense is built up in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson Robert Louis
Stevenson was born on the 13th November 1850. He wrote Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in 1886, with that
40,000 copies of the book were sold in the first six months. This was designed to mirror the Victorian
secret and based on good and evil. Stevenson later died in 1894 in Samoa. Stevenson used the
contemporary setting of Victorian London to write his gothic horror novel. The streets with the gas
lamps were the perfect setting following the true horrific stories of Jack the Ripper. He refers to Mr
Hyde well as he wanders the streets of London not knowing who he s going to meet. The elements in
gothic horror include irony, movement, time, senses, horrific ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

More clues are revealed to everyone over the book for example, Dr Lanyon s letter tells people some
shocking facts about Dr Jekyll and that is when people start to suspect things. At the end of the book,
Dr Jekyll retells the whole story in a narrative style which explains everything about Jekyll and Hyde
and that Jekyll would kill himself after he wrote the letter. That is when the book ends. This shows
how suspense is built up. Stevenson sets the scene and creates the mood in the book, from the very
beginning; he does this by using the devices of gothic horror. He uses zoom lens a lot in the third to
last chapter. The last night ; it goes into heavy detail about the Laboratory and the surroundings of it.
The candle was set upon the nearest table creates a picture in the readers mind about all the visual aids
in the area. He describes it so well; you could almost go into the Laboratory and navigate yourself
around it with great ease. This shows how suspense is built up. That evening refers to time phrases. I
think is what makes the book so well and so popular. This also makes the book flow so well, so the
reader can understand the book well enough to keep reading without getting lost. It also helps the
reader visualise the time of day it is, so that refers to zoom lens again. This shows how suspense is
built up. At the very beginning of the book Utterson is introduced as this sort of boring, quiet man

Visual Art And Architecture In The 1920 s
The 1920s (occasionally alluded to as the Roaring Twenties), were distinguished by tremendous
artistic spirit. In visual art and architecture, the 1920s saw the beginning of the surrealist,
expressionist, and Art Deco movements. Characterized by pure and geometric forms, Art Deco
originated in Europe and spread to North America in the mid 1920s, manifesting itself famously in the
construction of the Chrysler Building, the tallest building in the world at its time. The Museum of
Modern Art opened in Manhattan on November 7, 1929, nine days after the Wall Street Crash. The
1920s was one of the most active and important periods in the more serious arts. Writers, painters, and
other artists produced some of the greatest work in the nation s history. During the 1920s, the main
styles of architecture that emerged were Art Deco and Modern architecture. The Art Deco
development began in Paris, however rapidly spread around Europe and over to America. The style
was created at Bauhaus, a school in Germany that got to be acclaimed for its approach to the motif.

The Italian Renaissance And The Renaissance
The Italian Renaissance was an explosion of art, writing, and thought, that roughly lasted between
1300 to 1600. In this time each citizen, countrymen, or villager had and performed different jobs and
careers. Humanism the study of Greek and Roman writings, art, and architecture, initially jump started
the Renaissance, and the need for art. Artists now were inspired to use life like art and linear
perspective, so art seemed and was more realistic. The start of the Italian Renaissance was the start of
a new world and culture for Europe.
During the Italian Renaissance the citizens and people of Italy were just now changing their mindsets
on life. There was a celebration of life and the human spirit by survivors of the Bubonic Plague ...

First, the Italian artists and scholars pulled inspiration from the Roman ruins that surrounded them.
Second, western scholars studied ancient Latin writings and manuscripts that over the years were
preserved in monasteries. Third, when the Turks conquered Constantinople in 1453, Christian scholars
fled with Greek manuscripts to Rome.
This new study of the ancient world led to humanism. Humanism was an intellectual movement that
focused on human achievements and potential. Humanists studied the classic texts to understand
ancient Greek values. The word humanist and humanism come from the Latin word humanitas, which
refers to the literary culture that every educated person should possess. Humanists study subjects
common to classical education; such as history, literature, and philosophy along with rhetoric. These
subjects are considered the Humanities. These classical traditions were passed on by humanists to
artists and architects.
The advantage that Italy had was the smaller city states. The smaller city states allowed more citizens
to be involved in politics besides the arts. Humanism suggested that a person can enjoy life without
offending God. The wealthy enjoyed good music, fine foods, and material luxuries. Now the spirit of
the Renaissance was secular meaning worldly. Italians were concerned with the here and now and
moved away from the church and pope. But along with the Italians the church leaders also lived in
beautiful mansions, and

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Fitness Test
Task 1
Within this report I will recommend the stages I believe that should be carried out to allow the fitness
test happened safely, and the policies I believe should be put into place while a volunteer carries out
these tests. Prior to doing a lab based fitness test there are many stages you are supposed to carry out
to ensure all participants are safe and all risks are reduced or eliminated.
P1
The first test I urge you to carry out would be to do a risk assessment, this will include finding all the
hazards that would be a risk to participants. For example; One of the hazards while carrying out the
test you will be doing could be if a participant was to wear the wrong type of shoes while doing the
beep test this could lead to them injuring themselves by falling over. After collecting all the hazards
write down how these risks can be controlled and the extent of the risk. For the example I gave for a
hazard that could happen in the test being taken it could be controlled by all participants wearing
trainers with good grip, it also is a high risk due to the amount of times the risk is possible to happen.
If the risk is a high risk and cannot be reduced I recommend that you do not carry out the test till the
risk can be reduced for the safety of participants. The second thing I recommend you should do before
doing the test would to be for you to have a PAR Q test for all participants to fill out before the test so
that you as the testy are informed on everything you need to

Pashtun, who reside primarily south of the Hindu Kush and the Tajik, who are primarily dispersed in

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Foreign Investment In Nigeria
Foreign investment capital, both in cash and in kind (e.g. by way of machinery and equipment,
technical expertise and services), play vital role in the development of Nigeria (Agosin, 2000). Nigeria
has an extreme shortage of long term debt capital, as well as equity funds. Other financial instruments
that could support private sector development, such as leasing, are underdeveloped (CBN, 1992). In a
continent where finance is a major constraint on development, the private sector in Nigeria, in
particular, the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) suffer many disadvantages including but not
restricted to high interest rates, loan terms of rarely more than one year, absence of equity capital, and
stringent collateral requirements. These problems are further exacerbated by land titling problems.

high level of economic growth, nor has it been able to attract a high level of private sector investment
commensurate with its economic potentials (Anyanwu, 1998). In the assessment of the Nigerian
investment environment, the following factors have been identified as the major obstacles to economic
growth and the flow of private sector investment to the country 1. Dependence on the oil sector, which
accounts for 95% of foreign currency income and 80% of the national budget, 2. National budget
deficit and foreign debt caused by free spending economic policies under past military junta regimes,

Reflection On The Annexation Of Hawaii
Analytical Just the other day, we learned about the annexation of Hawaii in our history class. I started
to think a little too much about the whole situation with the United States. I came up with this theory
that MAYBE Hawaii is going to overthrow the U.S. government just as we did to their Queen
Liliuokalani in 1893. My theory is strengthened by the fact that Hillary Clinton, in the recent U.S.
election, received Hawaii s four electoral votes. This could possibly prove that Hawaii wants the U.S.
to have a woman president and then overthrow us. We overthrew Hawaii s government when they
were under a woman s power, thus they would want to do the same. I believe I am very analytical
because I love analyzing and creating theories, I lie in bed and think about life, and I enjoy persuading
other people into analyzing my ideas and theories. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

were like this, but now maybe they are trying to make a change. They don t want to be known as a

  • 2. India s A Growing Economic System For this research report, I want to further the understanding of the Indian attitude, external opportunities and threats of entrepreneurship, and how the International world and India is progressing with entrepreneurs. I have an interest in being in working internationally, after gaining more experience in the corporate/sales area of a company, which is one of the reasons I chose to explore this topic on an international level. This paper will cover some basics of entrepreneurship in India. In India they have a growing economic system. Global Edge states that in 2011, India s estimated GDP was $1.843 trillion with 7.8% growth (Global Edge). Then another measurement was taken in 2013; according to the CIA, India s GDP is about $4.99 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although India has some of the biggest billionaires living there, more than 30% 50% of the people in India live below the poverty line on about 50 cents a day. It is a high poverty rate, the highest among all the BRIC countries. In India this problem is growing and becoming more unbalanced. This is an issue because of the caste system in India. This castes system makes it extremely difficult for one to change social classes. Women also have a problem when trying to break into the workplace, because it is something that is seen as taboo. I recall in a TED TALK that was shown in a class of mine, it showed how women and lower class citizens of India were learning about IT and how they were being taught simple key logging types of work in hopes of the availability of the jobs will help balance the distribution of income through the lower classes. The key sectors of the company in India are listed as agriculture (17.4%), industry (25.8%), and services (56.9%). Many belonging to the lower class in India are farmers and they spend quite some time selling their produce which proves to be a difficult tasks since many rural areas do not have the means to provide efficient transportation (i.e. underdeveloped roads). Because of this, many of their produce go bad/expire before they make it to the market. The main agricultural products that are produced in India are rice, wheat, oilseed, cotton, jute, tea, sugarcane, lentils, onions, potatoes; dairy products, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. A Look at the Westward Expansion in the Post-Civil War Era History is like a die. It can have a small or large number of sides, but it can never have just one. Regarding the United States Westward Expansion in the Post Civil War era, there were many sides to be taken into account, including (but not limited to) the Apache Indians, the US Government workers and soldiers, the American Elite, journalists, and scholars. How historians and others perceive this era is dependent on the primary sources available. By looking at sources such as Apache Chief Geronimo s Story of His Life, Harvard Educated Ranch Manager Richard Trimble s Letters to his Mother, and Financial Editor H.D. Lloyd s Story of a Great Monopoly , one can unearth little nuggets of information that help determine how the process of incorporation affected large and diverse groups of people. When the United States began its Westward Expansion in the second half of the 19th century, many Native American Chiefs lost much more than they gained. The first time that Apache Chief Geronimo ever saw white men was about 1858, shortly after the massacre of Kaskiyeh . Although he was a warrior, he was not interested in killing every white soldier or settler that he came across. Instead, his initial attitude towards the white soldiers and settlers was stated on page 117 of his autobiography as, The Indians always tried to live peaceably with the white soldiers and settlers. • 4. Life And Role Of Stanislavski s Acting Style In Theatre Stanislavski was born in Russia in 1863, and his birth name was Konstantin Sergeevich Alekseev. He was exposed to the arts from a young age and as a child regularly visited theatres, operas and ballets. During the 1800s in Russia, actors were in a lower social class, so for almost half of Stanislavski s life, he was limited to amateur arts to avoid casting social embarrassment on his family. Stanislavski was the name he used to act without his family s awareness and he eventually became professional when the Moscow Arts Theatre was founded in 1897. The MXAT was effectively the first to ensure many, many hours were put into rehearsals and to specially design all costumes, sound and lighting. This was the beginning of a realistic style within theatre, which was opposed by many creative pioneers. Stanislavski felt no other option than to become independent and set up the First Studio in 1912, moving away from the MXAT to combat opposition. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After being evicted, Stanislavski was desperate and eventually the state allocated him a small house where he could rehearse. During this time, the MXAT also suffered and an acting tour led by Stanislavski was its desperate attempt to gain funds. Some of the MXAT actors found new teaching careers in the West, which spread Stanislavski s ideas. Stanislavski s experimentation away from realism, into yoga and psychology, were ignored by the Soviet government which appointed him as a Soviet Realism model. Stanislavski struggled to accept the new laws on acting and backlash from the press triggered the heart attack which ended his acting career. Stanislavski s manuals and ideas became the curriculum for theatre schools within Russia, but many of his ideas were ignored and his public image was vastly contrasted to his private image. Violence In Shirley Jackson s The Lottery The Lottery by Shirley Jackson The story The Lottery introduces the reader to a cruel ritual of the village where people gather together to participate in the annual elimination of a random villager. Pleasant and friendly mood in the town at the beginning of the story was replaced by hostile and violent human behavior. Warm and sunny summer morning did not represent happiness; instead, it represented death. The author gradually turned the excitement into violence. Nevertheless, Mr. Summers, Mr. Graves and Mr. Martin proudly cherish the remaining parts of the ritual and importance of the lottery. Regardless of forgotten elements of tradition, black wooden box and stones represent an important part of it. As per character of the story, Old Man Warner, the lottery was conducted for seventy seventh years and some of the rituals were lost. Despite that, black box was never replaced with the new one, carrying on the meaning of the original tradition. The black box takes a special place in this ritual. Its black color represents death and violence that current tradition involves. The entire population of the village seems heartless, including children who stuffed their pockets with stones, getting ready to attack randomly selected victim. Each participant understands the risk of being stoned to death, but still sees the ritual as an entertaining event. Moreover, each of them ready to murder their neighbor without feeling of guilt. As Griffin point out, individual action against someone consider a murder, but on the group level people classify their heinous act simply as ritual (45). • 7. The Rise Of The Roman Empire Essay Constantine was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. He started his reign in 307 AD. During this time the Roman Empire was still composed mainly of pagans. Although the population of Christians was on the rise, in the beginning of the fourth century, Christians made up only 10 percent of the population in the Roman Empire. There were approximately five million Christians in the Roman Empire meaning that they were still the minority (Waldron). His conversion was an important turning point not only for Christians but also for the Roman Empire as a whole. Although most Romans still believed in Greco Roman religions, Constantine decided to become a Christian because he knew that it would be beneficial for his role as emperor. His conversion was prompted by his desire to end the tetrarchy structure of the Roman Empire and to become the sole ruler of the Roman Empire. The story of Constantine s conversion was told through Eusebius of Caersera. His recount of the story is skewed by his bias. In order to show a more holistic view of the story I will be comparing his account to the account of another historian named Andreas Alföldi. The comparison will show that Constantine had other motives for converting to Christianity. Constantine s decision to become a Christian was influenced by numerous external factors. He emulated the monotheistic nature of Christianity and used it as the foundation of his reign and used Christianity to advance his political agenda. When ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Tucker wrote more about the ties to The Bible with the three men who come to the door after the murder. The mentioning of the possibility of the eye as a higher being caused me to pursue how the eye could be that of the one true God. Focusing on the ending of the story when the three officers I wanted to look at the influence of God in the earlier stages of the story with the evil eye. I needed to find where a single eye is used in other areas both in literature and in everyday use. There were many places to look but none would deal with God until I looked closer at both my Bible and at the symbolism of one eye. I remembered seeing a single eye on the Great Seal of the United States both on the eagle and on the capstone of the pyramid. This got me thinking as to when the seal was placed on the dollar bill. As stated at the Great Seal s website the seal was first placed on the one dollar bill in 1935 well after the publishing date of The Tell Tale Heart in 1850 (Kennedy 33). He loved her so much that he would perform any task she wished for him to do for her. however as time passes, she had passed away and his devoted heart for her rendered him to not be with any woman other than his wife. Love, a powerful word and action is often described to be something in which you devote your feelings and emotion to something or someone with full intent, however Love in Antigone, a tragic play, written by Sophocles reciprocates this idea in a completely new way. A theme that Sophocles writes throughout Antigone could possibly be the idea of loyalty to the city versus family, and he often grazes upon the origin on many of the themes, providing sufficient amount of details that could be used to support them. However, a possible main occuring theme of Antigone is that Love is unconquerable. This theme surfaces in many ways throughout the play, specifically, in the idea of Love overpowering every aspect that the Greeks and Athenians believed to be impenetrable. In the midst of the conflict between Creon and Haemon, Creon strongly dislikes and neglected Haemon s point of view because he believes that he had been corrupted by a woman. Haemon is accused of being held captive by Antigone and his love for her recognized [him as] the slave of a woman, referring to the love that Antigone possesses, overpowering Haemon (Sophocles 769). Many people follow the rules and regulations that were implemented through the laws of being an American citizen, but there are many people who do not follow these laws and regulations. People such as the horrid serial killers that live among us and some even living incarcerated in prisons all across the country. A serial killer is described as a person who murders three or more people in a period of over a month, with cooling down time between murders (Serial Killers Vs. Mass Murderers). One question being; were killers born with a sense of killing, or did they learn how to become killers over time? Many speculations come from all different kinds of people, but are serial killers born the way they are? One side of this argument is that all serial killers are raised in such a manner that causes them to commit murders. The Susquehanna River contributes forty four percent of the water that enters the Chesapeake Bay. Because of this, it is essential that the Susquehanna River stays clean. There are many testable indicators when determining the health of the river. Some of the indicators are the levels of pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, phosphates, and temperature. An acceptable pH level is anywhere from five to eight. With this range of pH, wildlife will be able to thrive in the water! The pH level in East Pennsboro Township and many other places in Pennsylvania is buffered because of an abundance of naturally found limestone. Dissolved oxygen levels should be greater than 5 parts per million, but less than 13. The right amount of dissolved oxygen allows the aquatic animals breathe in their habitat. This paper aims to address the frame of reference of Pick n Pay s chairman and joint managing director, Mr Raymond Ackerman. This reiterates the notion of balance of power. Collective bargaining The ability for positions to reach a consensus is reached through collective bargaining. Bluen (1987) infers that the pluralist frame of reference does not seek to remove conflict but to manage it. Mr Ackerman acknowledged the existence of conflict and tried to manage it by sending his negotiating team to resolve the conflict and end the strike. Mr Ackerman has a pluralist view because he believes the issue should have been resolved during negotiations. He even went as far as awarding greater bargaining flexibility to the negotiating team. The mere fact that Mr Ackerman was so determined to resolve the conflict though means of collective bargaining should eliminate the likelihood of a unitary frame of reference. Collective bargaining, an equitable balance of power, and essentially the aim to compromise confirm that Mr Ackerman holds a pluralist view on industrial relations. Mr Ackerman fought to reach a consensus for personal and economic reasons. The breakthrough to reach a consensus was achieved after he delivered his speech. He appealed to the opposing union members by focusing on personal matters. This led to the agreement of a negotiation. • 31. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Fitness Test Task 1 Within this report I will recommend the stages I believe that should be carried out to allow the fitness test happened safely, and the policies I believe should be put into place while a volunteer carries out these tests. Prior to doing a lab based fitness test there are many stages you are supposed to carry out to ensure all participants are safe and all risks are reduced or eliminated. P1 The first test I urge you to carry out would be to do a risk assessment, this will include finding all the hazards that would be a risk to participants. For example; One of the hazards while carrying out the test you will be doing could be if a participant was to wear the wrong type of shoes while doing the beep test this could lead to them injuring themselves by falling over. After collecting all the hazards write down how these risks can be controlled and the extent of the risk. For the example I gave for a hazard that could happen in the test being taken it could be controlled by all participants wearing trainers with good grip, it also is a high risk due to the amount of times the risk is possible to happen. If the risk is a high risk and cannot be reduced I recommend that you do not carry out the test till the risk can be reduced for the safety of participants. The second thing I recommend you should do before doing the test would to be for you to have a PAR Q test for all participants to fill out before the test so that you as the testy are informed on everything you need to ... This hardline version of Islam banned women from being able to work, and implemented Islamic based punishments for crimes such as stoning an individual to death. As the new year came in 1997, the Taliban was now recognized as the official rulers of Afghanistan by both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. This is due in part to the fact that the Taliban had taken control of over two thirds of the country. • 34. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Foreign Investment In Nigeria Foreign investment capital, both in cash and in kind (e.g. by way of machinery and equipment, technical expertise and services), play vital role in the development of Nigeria (Agosin, 2000). Nigeria has an extreme shortage of long term debt capital, as well as equity funds. Other financial instruments that could support private sector development, such as leasing, are underdeveloped (CBN, 1992). In a continent where finance is a major constraint on development, the private sector in Nigeria, in particular, the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) suffer many disadvantages including but not restricted to high interest rates, loan terms of rarely more than one year, absence of equity capital, and stringent collateral requirements. • 35. Reflection On The Annexation Of Hawaii Analytical Just the other day, we learned about the annexation of Hawaii in our history class. I started to think a little too much about the whole situation with the United States. I came up with this theory that MAYBE Hawaii is going to overthrow the U.S. government just as we did to their Queen Liliuokalani in 1893. My theory is strengthened by the fact that Hillary Clinton, in the recent U.S. election, received Hawaii s four electoral votes. This could possibly prove that Hawaii wants the U.S. to have a woman president and then overthrow us. We overthrew Hawaii s government when they were under a woman s power, thus they would want to do the same. I believe I am very analytical because I love analyzing and creating theories, I lie in bed and think about life, and I enjoy persuading other people into analyzing my ideas and theories. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I have made some other theories besides the Hawaii one, including a theory on why the Stonehenge was set that way and also a theory on Russia. My theory on Russia is that they are always said to be such a dictating country, but maybe that isn t always the case with them. Yes, maybe at one time they were like this, but now maybe they are trying to make a change. They don t want to be known as a threat. Maybe Russia just wants to be incorporated into the world with at least a little bit of leadership, just like the U.S. This may be the reason they helped Donald Trump campaign in the recent election they wanted to see how a democracy works versus a monarchy so they could form their own and live like Americans.
